So far my experience has been good. Dr. Massey took care of me very well for my cone biopsy, so i decided to go here for my second pregnancy. My favorite part/person is when I get an ultrasound by Kendra. Ms. Kendra is very nice and professional and takes time to tell me what were looking at and what shes doing. It is weird for me to get used to cycling through different doctors every time. I would like to know who will be delivering my baby, but thats my only issue so far.
We love it here! Friendly staff, all the doctors are friendly and I really enjoy that it is an all female practice as a first time soon to be mom. Our ultrasound tech Kendra is amazing, so friendly. We always are happy when we get her.
The check in staff were friendly. The doctors are fantastic.Dr. Tasha Beenkin is amazing. She treated me as a whole person. There are guidelines that the American College of gynecology recommend. I am healthy because she treated me as an individual and went above and beyond the guidelines. I am forever thankful and grateful to her for her expertise. I was very comfortable asking questions and she took time the time to have a conversation. I highly recommend this practice and especially Dr. Beenken.
I’m not a patient here but that is only because I am a guy. My wife was pregnant with our first child and I tagged along on most of her visits. It was a new world to me and I didn’t understand what everyone did. Everyone was so nice a comforting. It was nice meeting the doctors who little did I know would be there to deliver the baby 😂. It was comforting to see a familiar face come to my wife’s room to check in on her. The doctor we had was Dr. Lange. It was easy to trust her because we met her before. Dr. Lange is very good at her job. Dr. Lange is an absolute badass and I would trust her with my life. If I were a female I would definitely go here.
This place was a nightmare. As first time parents we dont know. Thats it, we dont know. As professionals in this field you would expect they would. The ultra sound and tech was fine, but the nurse and Dr was a different story. The nurse hands you this huge folder briefly covers some stuff then starts on genetic testing. They show you a page with a bunch of billing codes and start a sales pitch for one specifically. Then the Dr comes in and covers it all with you again with this there are 3 types of parents pitch and it must be done before 20 wks. While talking and looking up the billing code for the one test, you find out its 300$ IF they pre-authorize. Which they dont because its elective. Remember that part, elective. Without pre-approval its $1000. The Dr said just pay for it, youll hit your out of pocket ded anyways. But our baby is due Jan 8th making it so the birth is in a new insurance year. No, we wont hit the max out of pocket. Honestly gave us a time share pitch vibe. Speed along to next appt, my wife goes alone and the nurses keep scaring her with test results that are higher.. then after my wife questions they ,guess it is normal for pregnant women. Asked if she felt flutters.. at 14 weeks.. no. You should know that you dont this early. The best part. My wife mentioned I have a heart murmur. The nurse quite literally freaks out, scaring my wife saying she NEEDs to do the genetic test.. but they wont pre-authorize it still. My wife says no (at this point she already knew we really needed a new practice/dr) so that we can get a 2nd opinion. The nurse than says if my wife refuses to get the test then she MUST sign a waiver and were going to a ultrasound specialist... for an elective test? Again, scaring my wife and making this all seem like a push to buy this genetic test they want so badly. My wife was crying when she got home! We got into another Dr today, and she was caring, listening and understanding. We shared the experience and she did confirm, the expensive genetic test is the best and only one she offers, but by no means is it required. It only looks for 3 things and can be done at anytime, even after 20 wks. We asked about the heart murmur I have, and she agreed with what we read online; its very common in children and nothing to worry about. Def does not call for a genetic test and or specialist ultrasound visit. Some other things she mentioned is the big test is the ultrasound at 20 weeks. If theres something wrong well most likely see it then and if anything is out of the ordinary then we can do the tests. But its really rare even for ladies after 35. I highly recommend not going here, if you do and they scare you or push expensive genetic tests, please get a 2nd opinion. Were so happy we did.
Kenda was amazing for our ultrasound! She was thorough and explained everything she was doing and looking for!Thank you so much Kendra and hopefully we’ll see you in the future!
I have been going to this facility since the beginning of my pregnancy. Every single person that works there is very sweet but professional. I feel like they go the extra step to ensure everything goes smoothly and mom & baby are both healthy. We’ve had the pleasure of every time but once having Kendra as our ultrasound tech and she is awesome. Always so kind and makes my husband & I feel so comfortable. I’d also like to shoutout Maggie who always made me feel overly comfortable and answered all of my questions and concerns and seemed genuinely interested in what I was saying.
I have had a mostly positive experience at this practice so far. However, my ultrasound experience could have been improved. The technician, Dawn, moved very quickly without pausing to explain before she did things. She stuffed a towel into my underwear without warning me first, which was jarring. I am pregnant for the first time and really would have appreciated her taking just a second to pause and explain what she was doing and why she was doing it. This would have relieved my stress in the moment and would have felt a lot more consensual, instead of having various things done to me without me being prepared. She seemed to be in a rush, but I dont think it would have taken much more time to simply explain and talk more to me during the procedure.
I could not be happier with this practice! All throughout my pregnancy all of the staff, nurses, and doctors were kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The doctors always take their time and listen carefully to concerns and answer my questions. I am so happy Dr. Davis delivered my baby, she is awesome! My baby even got a cute t-shirt at my postpartum check-up.
I had a wonderful experience today as this was my first ever prenatal appointment/ultrasound. Kendra made me feel very comfortable and safe and was very sweet throughout the ultrasound.
Billing was messed up from the inital visit, Dr. Skipworth did not provide the correct referral to my hospital causing even worse billing. After months of trying to understand what had happened and getting the billing partially correct I asked to speak with an office manager. THAT was a month ago. They admit they messed up, they can see how, but no one has called to even apologize let alone fix the incorrect referral. As a Wellmark insured individual their incompetency has cost me significantly.
Dr. Davis and her care team are wonderful! I began seeing her about two years ago with problematic heavy periods. She is very kind and caring and took time to listen and explain all options. I had a successful hysterectomy about 8 weeks ago. I feel great and am so thankful for her skills and knowledge and her compassionate care. I would highly recommend this practice!
Kendra was awesome! She was so fast with the scans and made everything very easy. She also did a very good job of explaining everything and answering all my questions.
I love this clinic! I’ve had most of the doctors at some point or another, and all of them have been so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. I trust them as well as all the other staff, nurses, and nurse practitioners with my care. They’re all wonderful but I extra appreciate Dr.Benken, Dr.Davis, and Kendra. They are all experts in their fields and make sure no questions are left unanswered. I feel confident in my healthcare team here and I feel comfortable with every visit.Parking is easy, all off the staff is kind, and they have great hours of operation that make going before or after work very convenient. I’ve already had two friends try this clinic and switch over to this practice. I will continue to recommend this clinic, thank you for your exceptional care!
Dr.Benken did my surgery, and that was the first time to meet her . She was nice , caring , loving and understanding to everything I was emotionally going through. Really appreciate her . Thank you
I had a fairly scary reaction to a birth control being implanted from my first appointment and was scheduled to see Shawna Freeman to follow up on it. From the beginning she took my concerns seriously and got me the help I needed. Her nurse Emma is also incredible and validents all concerns that you present to her. Thankfully I am much better but they helped follow me the whole time and ensured I was fully healed. They are an excellent team and I am glad to have found them
I am almost at the end of my twin pregnancy and while I have not had a chance to meet all the doctors, I have met most. They have all been incredible as far as answering any and every question I have had and they dont make me feel rushed. While the doctors have been wonderful, my most favorite person there has been our ultrasound technician, Kendra. She is by far the sweetest and always in the best mood (super entertaining!). She always checks on me throughout the ultrasound to make sure Im comfortable and still doing ok. She also always tries so hard to make sure we get good pictures (we have stubborn little ones that do not ever want to show off). We are appreciative of the time they have taken throughout this entire experience.
Kendra is such a friendly face! We were able to work with her during our first pregnancy 3 years ago and now have the pleasure to work with her again. She goes above and beyond in providing the best experience during your ultrasounds. Could not recommend more!
I delivered my twins on 7/29/23 and started the monitoring process for IVF at West Des Moines OBGYN for my out-of-state fertility clinic in October, 2022. I received dozens of ultrasounds throughout the monitoring process and then eventual twin pregnancy and very quickly chose a favorite technician. Kendra is SO sweet and personable and we really bonded with her. She always remembered us and our story and we really felt genuinely cared for. We always booked our appointments around her schedule, and then couldn’t wait to introduce her to our babies once they were born.May have to get pregnant again just so I have a reason to get ultrasounds and visit Kendra! ☺️
I was asked to give an ultrasound review, and my experiences have been great! This is my first pregnancy, and we have had 4 ultrasounds as I was requested to have 2 extra growth ultrasounds (leave my thoughts on this for another review). We had Kendra for our last two ultrasounds, and she was great at explaining what we were seeing and answering any questions we had. She made sweet comments about our baby like she knew them which made me smile. We got printed pictures and left feeling knowledgable about how our baby was doing.
My ultrasound tech was great! Her name is Kendra. She was very nice and gave me lots of images of my baby! Ive seen Shawna so far for my appointments and she is great as well!
I recently had my first baby and my experience with West Des Moines OBGYN Associates was great!Special shout-out to Kendra, who did all of my ultrasounds during my pregnancy. She was so great at letting us see as much of the baby as we could, and she always explained what she was looking at during the scans. So personable, reassuring and just great.I loved each of the doctors I met with, they all made me feel reassured, answered my questions and let me have input into my care.Very highly recommend!
Highly recommend Emily Fortman if you are in need of pelvic floor therapy. Shes such a personable provider that made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. Shes very friendly and very sensitive to your feedback and any needs. I really enjoyed getting to know her throughout the time that I went and she made such a huge difference for me with the problems I was experiencing. I enjoy the overall practice and find it very easy to schedule appointments or get any additional help I need.
Kendra was very informative during our anatomy scan. She gave us lots of pictures and even let my wife clear her bladder in the middle. Kendra talked to us through out the appointment which was nice to not have to sit and stare at a screen.
I am currently pregnant with my first, and all the doctors have been so helpful! We absolutely love when Kendra does our ultrasounds and we love our NST tech. I like that we have met most of the staff there and I feel so safe and secure with them delivering our bundle of joy! Will return if there is ever any babies in the future.
Kendra was our ultrasound tech and she was amazing! Showed so many different views of our baby and explained exactly what we were seeing. She also was reassuring that everything looked great as we went through the process! Very pleased!
Kendra did our 20 week anatomy ultrasound and she did such an amazing job. With this being my husband and I’s first baby, we didn’t know what to expect or how to read the ultrasound, but she explained everything that we were seeing on the screen and was extremely friendly and caring. You could tell she loved her job.
I was asked to leave a review from Kendra who did my anatomy scan. She is so personable and remembered me from my last pregnancy almost 4 years ago. She explained everything and asked any questions I had. If I have to have another ultrasound during this pregnancy I would try to schedule it with her!
Has been an ongoing battle to get the care I need. I’ve had to constantly follow up when I’ve not received responses when promised. I’m looking elsewhere for care and do not recommend going here if you have anything wrong.
I have had the most amazing experience with this place! Every single doctor I’ve met with has been the most kind, helpful and understand doctor I’ve ever had! Their staff is top tier! Through the good and the bad they’ve stuck with us through it all being the best doctors office I’ve ever been with! I 100% recommend them and will 100% be coming back!
Kendra has done ultrasounds for all of my children. She is so great. She explains everything shes doing and is just so sweet. Highly recommend her!
My wife and I had our first appointment today and Kendra was our ultrasound tech. She was awesome. Very friendly, very professional, and made us feel welcome. Everyone is very nice here and makes us feel welcome.
Kendra is the best ultrasound tech! I always appreciate how kind and genuine she is, and is always great with conversation! Love WDM OBGYN :)
I’ve had two appointments here so far and it’s been great! The ultrasound tech, nurses, and providers have been so kind and knowledgeable. Ive been to a couple OB/GYN clinics in Des Moines and this one is by far the best. I would recommend!
WDM OBGYN was appealing to me online because they value Pelvic Health PT and they are an all Women practitioner clinic. I am in my 3rd trimester of my 3rd pregnancy and I cant say enough about their 2 physical therapists. Ive worked the closest with Emily and I have come so far! Shes been my 4th Pelvic Health PT (other 3 were from out of State) and one of the reasons I feel Ive come so far are my 40+ min sessions with her(covered all by my insurance) . Shes really able to listen to me, educate me whats going on with my body, and provide me with feedback that makes sense. She goes above and beyond with what she does and Im so grateful Ive gotten to learn from her. The other PT is an absolute gem too! Her years of experience and dedication to the profession show in her craft. I learned so much from her too, in my one session with her. Either therapist you see, you are hands down getting a great deal with either of them.As for my OB experience(not reflected in stars) Id say its okay.
I’m so glad I came across this Clinic. They were with me throughout my whole pregnancy. The doctors and nurses were amazing. The ultrasound ladies were amazing (kendra) sweet and kind. The NST Lady was very sweet and kind. I would recommend this clinic to anybody who is pregnant. Thank you ladies for making my journey easy and for answering all my questions❤️ I felt loved
This is my third baby I will have gone through this clinic for and highly recommend all the doctors and nurses here! The ultrasound techs are great and have always done their best to get us good pictures of our babies. Thanks Kendra.
I’m seeing this trend in a few reviews, so it’s not just me. I had a standard appointment at 2:30 pm today and waited 52 minutes either in the lobby or the room. I saw a doctor or nurse for 8 minutes of hour I was there. There was no mention at any point that the doctor was running behind. I just sat there waiting. Maybe appointments early in the day would help avoid excessive waiting?
I am on my third pregnancy with WDM OBGYN and so happy I have this great team of doctors, nurses and staff to care for me and my baby! I always feel well monitored during my pregnancies and especially enjoy ultrasounds with my favorite technician Kendra. Thank you all for helping to make my pregnancies that much easier!
I would recommend Jen Devore. Very professional, quick, efficient, and thorough care. Welcoming environment for POC & GLTBQ.
Had my first appointment here for my second pregnancy after previously coming here for my first. Kendra was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this obgyn to anyone.
I’ve always had a great experience here! Kendra has been fantastic and so have all the doctors I’ve met so far in this pregnancy.
We had a great ultrasound experience with Kendra! She explained everything that was happening and what we were looking at on the screen. She was also super friendly!
Ultrasound was great! Thanks to Kendra for being amazing and making it an amazing experience!
Always have a great experience and compassionate staff. Kendra the ultrasound tech has been an absolute gem throughout each of my pregnancies!
Great experience! Kendra was awesome during the 20 week scan 😁
So refreshing to finally find a doctor that actually listens! Both Leticia and Maggie were so comforting and supportive! They both listened to every word I said and took the time to not only reassure me, but explain what is happening to my body.I hate going to the doctor, but I finally feel like I found a team that actually wants to help and this was just the first visit! After months of crazy symptoms I finally feel like Im in the right hands to start making me feel like me again.
Had my 20 week anatomy scan today with Ms.Kendra I love how patient and supportive she is with me during my visits, this is my second baby she’s helped me through and she has a great memory of everything when ever I speak with her making my experiences personal every time!
There aren’t enough kind words to say about Joann. She is amazing. She listens to every problem and concern and gives you hope! I was in pain for 2 and a half straight years and thought it would never end. She gave me my life back!
I am in the third trimester of my first pregnancy. I usually wait an hour between the ultrasound and seeing the doctor. Once the doctor sees me, I feel rushed and don’t think they truly take the time to answer my questions and care for me as a patient. I’m switching to Unity Point Midwives.
We look forward to seeing Kendra when we have an ultrasound completed. She makes us feel comfortable and she genuinely cares about our experience.
I developed abnormal uterine bleeding over the summer and needed to be seen by someone ASAP. My regular OB was booked 4 months out, so I called WDM OBGYN. They got me in the following week with Jennifer Devore. Jennifer was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. She ran a few tests to figure out what was going on. Her and her nurse Chasity were right on it. Communicated with me in a timely manner. After tests were ran I was referred to Dr. Skipworth for her opinion. Dr. Skipworth and her nurse Taryan were also great. Dr. Skipworth was able to get my bleeding to stop immediately. Thank you to WDM OBGYN! Couldnt have asked for better care.
I would give 0 stars if that were available. I drove an hour and 30 minutes to my appointment. I stood in line for 10 minutes. I checked in for my appointment and they said The provider said they cant see you. I told her I was on time and asked why? She gave me 3 different excuses why. One was because I forgot my registration that was mailed to me. This appointment is very serious mind you and also was referred to by my cedar rapids location. I would not trust these people with my care or babies.
Kendra did an amazing job doing our 20 week ultrasound! She was very good at explaining everything & just so sweet! Thank you Kendra!
Not sure why this is under my husbands name..Anyways… I’m disappointed with my experience here. This is my first pregnancy and although google is nice to look up what’s normal and not normal, I feel like the doctors have not done a very good job at reassurance. I’ve been nervous most of my pregnancy so when I go in I’d like for them to take a little more time with me explaining things. I feel very rushed every time I go. Last visit I had Dr. Massey and she measured baby and listened to the heart beat, but I had to ask her what the results were and if everything looked to be in track. I’m switching from 1 month visits to 2 week visits and had I not asked about it I wouldn’t have known to schedule it like that. I understand that they deal with pregnancy all the time, but they need to realize that this is all new for me. Not all the doctors have been this way and wish I could remember all the names. I understand why they want you to see all the doctors, but I feel like it’s not very personal. The lab girls are absolutely wonderful! They have always explained what they are doing and the results! And are very comforting. The receptionists are mostly rude and seemed annoyed when I asked to pay my bill in office instead of online.I feel like I’m being rushed in and out whenever I go. Definitely will be going somewhere else for any future pregnancies.
I have been to this clinic twice and in my experience the doctors here are very inexperienced and do not have adequate Knowledge to provide good care for their patients.I literally had to convince the gynaecologist to prescribe me with an ultra sound for my condition. She was very neglectful and was honestly just wasting my time. They also tend to ask very unnecessary and intrusive questions which are not required.I flew to a different county for my surgery because the doctor here was not able to provide me with the right procedure and medication.
I started coming here for my pregnancy, and have been coming back to Dr. Lange ever since. I have yet to encounter anyone on staff from reception to the doctors who is not absolutely wonderful. They always know exactly who I am when I walk into reception, and they’re such nice people. I have no clue what some negative comments on reception are about, it makes no sense from anything I’ve ever observed. The nurses are fantastic and efficient, and Dr. Lange is the best! She is super personable and very engaging, while being efficient and straight to it. I appreciate this! When my child was born, she was very straightforward with me about the care I needed during labor— which I appreciated because the last thing I needed someone to beat around the bush! And I was an excellent hands, everything went off without a hitch.
I have called over and over again. They never answer the phone. It’s extremely frustrating and I just do not understand. I had medical records sent over never called and said they didn’t have my phone number to contact me. Fair. I didn’t have my insurance on me at the time because I was driving so I called back literally 30 minutes later no one answered. I have now called back 8x because I want schedule before I leave but I need to just move on .. probably a sign. If you are pregnant this place is going to stress you out based off customer service alone. Stress you don’t need.
I have loved my experience here during my first pregnancy. The receptionists, lab staff, nurses, and doctors have all have made me feel welcome and taken care of. I feel that the treatment is very thorough and have never left without a concern addressed.
Impossible to get a hold of anyone. They dont answer their phones, they dont answer their emails, I didnt even experience an office visit because Im unable to even make an appointment. Called Unity Point OBGYN in Clive, they answered immediately, and had me set up with an appointment within a few minutes. Pretty upsetting that an OBGYN clinic would be so hard to get ahold of. Makes me concerned for anyone thats a patient there.
Kendra did our ultrasound this morning and was super nice! Made us feel very comfortable and was excited for us!
The nurses were so nice & made me feel so comfortable! The check in wait time was a little bit longer, which is okay. I didn’t expect it to be super quick in the middle of the day.
So far the receptionist have been rude. I tried explaining my situation and the need for apt as soon as I can get one. I need to transfer care due to my pregnancy and my obgyn request. I emailed my records they stated the quality was poor and they were unable to use. I wouldn’t have known that unless I called to verify if they received my email. I let them know I’ve also been tryin to fax my records and they stated it’s working on our side so you can drive and drop it off. I tried explaining why I can’t drive due to my current issues of my pregnancy and the receptionist cut me off saying she will keep an eye out and hung up on me.What kind of place does not listen and treat potential patients like that. Put caring and compassionate people in the front since they are the face of your business.
My first visit was nice I don’t remember her name but I wanted to see her every visit , she was lovely but after my 1st visit I was given who ever was on duty when my apts were set. This was uncomfortable for me but I stayed at this clinic b/c it was close to my job. I went to every visit alone which was my mistake. They didn’t want to sign unemployment papers for me and all I needed was my due date written on it. I hadn’t been at my job long enough for fmla so signing unemployment papers confirming my due date should not have been a problem. When they didn’t want to sign them, I didn’t show up to my next apt. They used these papers to make me come to my second to last apt before my baby was born. They said if you come to this apt we will sign your papers but LITERALLY just told me the visit before it’s against their policy to sign paperwork for a woman with myasthenia Gravis at 37/8 weeks pregnant and that they couldn’t do it and my neurologist had to do it. THE PAPERS HAD PRENATAL CARE DOCTOR info NEEDED , NOT Neurology. My therapist also reached out to them on my behalf because she didn’t understand why they wouldn’t fill them out either. I opted to be induced right at 40 wks b/c I had to get bk to working. According to them my entire pregnancy was great , I went to the ER Once of my own recognizance - my baby was fine supposedly - then this office hooked me up to an ekg or whatever it is machine 2 visits after my ER visit and again my baby was fine supposedly, but as soon as I asked to be induced a c-section was mandatory b/c supposedly my baby’s heart rate dropped every time I had a contraction. Again my first visit was nice ,that practitioner was very caring and unexpectedly giving but I wouldn’t recommend any woman go here alone. I definitely felt like a statistic here and I hate them for that. Don’t be afraid of changing OBGYNs even if you’ve been there 5-6-7 times already. My baby is healthy but I don’t like the emotional stress this place put on me. And please don’t comment on this saying “call our office to express your concerns ” I expressed my concerns when I was there and y’all can see it here ! Just do better
Kendra was absolutely amazing! So personable and talks through everything she’s doing in detail! You can tell she loves her job!
My wife needed to be seen for a very important reason. She was denied being seen after driving a hour and a half because paperwork wasnt in order. Waited months for this appointment and was very anxious to hear the results and now we must wait again
My daughter is currently and OB patient with this group. She is a 19 year old, young, 1st time mom. She chose this group for the all female factor. Half way through her pregnancy she got a new job and was unable to take time off for appointments. She missed 2 appointments of which this office and their physicians/staff made her feel terrible for. They shamed her and made her feel incompetent. Since then they have just been insensitive, not at all compassionate and they rush her. She had to go in recently for a growth scan as they said her baby was measuring small. She had the ultrasound and then her weekly appointment the same day. They ultrasound tech was amazing, however during that appointment, when meeting with the doctor, they gave her no explanation of the outcome of the ultrasound or as to why they even felt necessary to have it done. So to her, they got her worked up for no reason. She is 37 weeks pregnant and does not feel comfortable calling them when something doesn’t feel right because they make her feel stupid for her concerns. Her mental health has been greatly affected by their poor bedside manner. What is supposed to be an exciting and beautiful time for her has been overshadowed by the anxiety they make her feel. If anything, this experience has shown her who NOT to go to if/when she has another baby or for her general “womanly” care moving forward. I am so disappointed for her that this is part of her first pregnancy experience. They need to do better.
Incredible bed side manor. Had a hysterectomy with Dr. Davis and she was very knowledgeable and caring. My follow up appointment with Dr. Skipworth was just as great. Amazing doctors!
Kendra was very sweet during my ultrasound! So personable and knowledgeable on what we were looking at!
We have had such a great experience here! Kendra was so kind and knowledgeable. We have had a few different ARNPs. They have both been wonderful! I would highly recommend this place.
High blood pressure was brushed off as “white coat syndrome” when I was pregnant only to find out he was an IUGR baby after a doctor finally decided to get an ultrasound. One front desk lady was extremely rude. C-section because I was told “you can try to labor but it will probably end in a c-section so I guess if you don’t want to have any power over your birth and just let them cut you open by all means go here I have yet to hear of anyone who has had a good birth experience sad!!!
Loved the care given by all the providers, post op visit was great, I had a c-section and it went great, I had the minimal pain ever so it wasn’t a traumatic experience for me. loved my experience throughout my pregnancy and I am going back for my second pregnancy care!
I had a wonderful experience through both of my pregnancies, and Dr Makkapati delivered both of my girls. I cant say enough good things about the staff and doctors who always made me feel welcome. I went in to both pregnancies knowing that I was not high risk therefore really didnt need too much attention during my appointments. Any questions I did have were answered, otherwise my appointments were quick and to the point, which I definitely appreciated instead of spending unnecessary time there when I had plenty of other things to do.My second delivery didnt go as smoothly as my first and I saw both Dr Makkapati & Dr Davis throughout my labor. They kept me calm and encouraged my husband and I while we waited out my daughters stubbornness.Im done having kids now, and was actually sad to leave after my last check-up. I would recommend to all of my friends
I had an amazing experience with Kendra, our ultrasound tech! Super empathetic and kind.Tamar-
No one wants to go in for their lady appointment, it’s an incredibly vulnerable event and can almost paralyze a person with extreme anxiety. But this office, all of the staff that I encountered and the environment, was friendly, considerate and comforting. I was recommended this office by several people and will recommend it to others as well!My only complaint is for ALL doctors offices. THE GOWNS! Paper or fabric- always so thin, they barely cover anything, and leave you cold and feeling even more exposed. It’s time to improve these things!!But who can actually walk out of an appointment like that and say they were fully satisfied with their service?? I was definitely satisfied with the care I received.
I chose this person because I read she deals with peri-menapause, she refused to even speak to me about it, im 49yrs old and having many many symptoms. She is a Physicians Assistant and was very condescending, she didnt address any of the issues I had in any way, she said all of my issues were diet related, completely false, I had kidney stones among other things. I would not go back there if someone paid me, no one should be treated this way ever in a medical setting.
Very unhappy with my visit. The scheduling staff and the doctors nurse were great. The doctor seemed very unprofessional to me. I had a previous bad experience with her when she said I was too overweight to be put on birth control pills. Yesterday, I went in as I had concerns of being pregnant due to late period. Her comment of “you thought you were pregnant when you were on the IUD” really set me off. I would not recommend this doctor. I have had one other doctor there that I kind of liked, however, two negative experiences really trump that good experience. In my mind; that one doctor ruined my perception of the whole company.
I have been seeing Dr. Booth for annual exams since I moved to Des Moines 10 years ago, and she is always thorough and compassionate. In addition, after all of the visits that come along with 2 full pregnancies/deliveries, I have received some degree of treatment by the other providers there, as well. From the front desk to the nurses and doctors, this group has been consistently fantastic. I highly recommend them!
This clinic is terrible. The doctor was incredibly nice and was quick at getting me seen and taken care of. However after the visit I never got a call or text with my diagnosis that I needed antibiotics for. I had to call and ask if everything came out ok. They said no that I had bv and my medication was sent to Walgreens. When I called Walgreens no such prescription existed. Finally I called and got it put in went and picked it up and I stupidly lost my medicine while traveling. I called to get a refill and they once again never called to tell me my medication had been refilled. Instead I had to call to which the lady on the phone said “Walgreens should notify you, mine does.” I called Walgreens and the refill was no where to found. I do not recommend this clinic. I have not once been called but have been doing the calling and it’s incredibly stressful I just want to put my health as priority and they could care less.
They did a membrane sweep without asking me. Then I went into labor the next day. Mind you there was no reason to induce my labor. I was 38 weeks and 6 days. Then that same doctor got frustrated when I was screaming while pushing my baby out. I’m not happy.
My story is similar to Elizabeth--sent unexpectedly and undeservedly to a debt collection agency. From the other reviews, it sounds like their office is just disorganized and incompetent in general. This is at least two people who were sent to a collection agency without justification, so be wary--heres my story. I tried to change my billing address after I realized I had given them the wrong one when I arrived for my first appointment (I do not check mail at that location very often). I had just come back from that address, and wasnt thinking very clearly, so for whatever reason I wrote down the wrong one. No biggie, I thought, Ill just change it at the end. The staff was wonderful and very friendly, so I didnt have any issues at this point. After the appointment, I asked to change it, wrote down the correct address, and left. A month or two later, I found a bill at the wrong address (again, I do not check it often). So, I called and asked to change it again, gave them the correct address, and apologized for not paying earlier, even though it was their fault for sending it to the wrong location. I came in for my second appointment, and the staff was again very warm. At the end, just to be sure, I asked what address they had on file. Still the wrong one, so once again I wrote down the other address for them, emphasizing that this was now the third time I had given it to them. I call again to confirm that they have the correct address about a week later, and give it to them AGAIN. This time I was very firm with the person on the phone, telling them I was sick of having to give them this information, and I told her to repeat the address after me. I thought for sure that this time they had the correct address, since I was pretty stern and meant business at that point. Fast forward to July, when I get a call informing me that my bill from my second appointment has been sent to a debt collection agency. I had received no call from West Des Moines OBGYN, no email, and more importantly NO BILL at my correct address to inform me that I still had an outstanding payment. There was absolutely no communication to the correct contact info that I provided not once, not twice, but FOUR TIMES. I was, of course, outraged. So, I go to check my other address, and lo and behold, theres the bills. The staff is great, but what the hell? This wasnt a one time deal, this was four times of my information getting lost in addition to all of the other communication issues mentioned in other reviews, and as a result they have lost my business. Avoid this place if you can. I am seething.Update, Dec. 2019 (1.5 years after the initial review): though the business said they would reach out to me directly for more information, they never did so. I can only assume they either dont actually care or were just too disorganized to follow up...perhaps they lost my phone number, too? 🤔
Only giving one star because you can’t give 0. I’m only speaking concerning prenatal care, I’d like to assume that their other care is more professional and they just aren’t meant to handle prenatal care as well.My review will be the same as so many of the other reviews given by pregnant women on this platform. The doctors are completely impersonal and never on the same page when it comes to birth/prenatal care. They never update your chart and usually have no idea who you are even if they’ve seen you multiple times.I didn’t have many options because I was carrying twins, making me considered high risk. I chose this location because it was all women staff. I’m not someone to argue and complain with doctors because in my opinion they get too much of that when they usually are just trying their best. However, I could never get anyone to answer my questions. One doctor literally started walking out while I was trying to ask her questions about c-sections.Any questions that did get answered were answered differently by every doctor I saw. One doctor said I didn’t have to have an epidural, the other said I absolutely did and didn’t have a choice in the matter. One doctor said they wouldn’t allow me to carry the babies past 38 weeks, the other said they’d let me carry them as long as I could if there were no complications. I prefer things more natural and didn’t want to be induced, but was willing to do whatever was best for my babies. I also failed my first and second glucose test and they didn’t do anything about it. They told me to call a diabetic specialist and after my appointment with them the OBGYN never said anything about it (didn’t ask me for my blood sugar levels I had been taking, didn’t put it in my chart, etc).I started having contractions at 32 weeks and decided to have them check me just in case. I had dilated to a 3 overnight which was extremely quick for me. I had so many questions, obviously, because my two other pregnancies were full term and I knew nothing about preterm labor or preemie hospital care. The doctor walked out of the room before I could ask any questions. She was so rushed. I was scared and cried more than I’d like to admit. I didn’t really know what to do at that point and the doctors didn’t give me any help.I contracted COVID and ran 102-103 fever for over 24 hours before I could get it to break. I contacted the OBGYN to see if I could get some IV fluids or some kind of treatment to help me fight off/break the fever because Tylenol was not helping at all even when I was taking it every 6 hours. They told me I just needed to drink more water, stay away from their office for 2weeks (even though I had no intentions on going in to their office), and not go in to the hospital unless my fever reached 104. Later while I was in labor, a different doctor asked when I had received treatment from them for my symptoms and I told her I hadn’t received any. She just said that really surprised her.My water broke at 34 weeks and I went into the hospital. My contractions kicked in on their own and I was only in labor for a few hours. One twin was born vaginally and the other twin was having issues moving down. The doctor told them to prep me for a c section. I had an epidural but the doctor wanted me to be put under. The other nurses were just as frustrated with the doctor as I was (the anesthesiologist even told my OB off at one point) but I was put under and they delivered my 2nd twin.Recovery was hard but my nurses were so helpful. My doctor came in once, glanced at my incision and said goodby in 5 minutes top. She did the same thing at discharge.I know it’s not fair to expect these doctors to “spoil” me, but the care I received here was less than bare minimum. The only “care” I got was ultrasounds, them taking my blood pressure, and measuring the size of my uterus when I went in for “check ups”.Please, if you are pregnant, this is not the place for you. There are better places to go, and this is borderline dangerous with lack of care. Sorry!
I received great prenatal care during both of my pregnancies. I trust each of the providers in helping to ensure my babies arrived safe and sound. This is a professional group of providers. I always felt free to ask any questions I had. And my decisions about my care were always respected.
Dr. Massey and ALL the staff here were wonderfully supportive in answering questions and calming nerves during every appointment. My husband and I both appreciated their care.
This place is horrible (baby #1)Im going to share my experience with West Des Moines OBGYN for the pregnancy and birth of my two sons.2016/2017I was referred to this place by a friend. I was excited at the prospect of supposedly getting to know each doctor so that, when the time came, I would know one of the doctors that would be present during the birth of my child. I would say things started off ok. This is just like any other doctors office- you check in and you see the actual physician for less than 5 minutes. Its about the money so they schedule as many people as they can in a short period of time. Youll visit with their nurse and off you go. I didnt really have any problems until the 26 week mark when I had to take my glucose test. I took it and failed. I was extremely distraught when I failed as I had no idea what that meant. The lab technician that told me that I failed the test shuffled me out quickly, put some formula samples in my hand and gave me a paper to schedule myself for a 4 hour test. No other explanation was given to me. No doctor came to see me after failing this test. I was bawling. No one cared or said anything to me. I was bawling in front of the receptionist and again, no one asked if I should see the doctor. I didnt know what to do, this was my first pregnancy.Fast forward- everything turned out fine. I did let them know that I wasnt pleased with just being told I failed a test and thrown out quickly without any word from a doctor. The only other trouble I had between that appointment and the last one before birth is there was another Nichole in the office and they actually gave my appointment away to this other person and switched our charts. I didnt find out about that until a few appointments in when one of the doctors asked me if I was depressed (the weight that was noted was completely different) and thats when it was realized that they were putting the wrong Nicholes in the charts. Not good. This should have been another flag that this office is just too busy to actually care. Now for the birth of my son. The doctor that was present at my birth was a doctor that I had never met- Dr. Mattapaki. I guess that it didnt actually matter. I was in pain I just wanted to have a healthy baby. I ended up having an emergency c-section. The hospital stay was uneventful overall. I was sent home with painkillers after 3 days. Well, this is where things got tricky. I didnt know what to expect as this was my first and I had a newborn and was trying to recover from a c-section. I was in a lot of pain. I was taking my pain pills as directed every 4 hours. I was only given 3 days worth of pain pills. I called on day 4 and asked for a refill. I was treated like a drug addict and questioned as to how I could have possibly taken all of the pain medication. I said that I was still in an extreme amount of pain and that my scar hurt really bad. I was told to come in. I was examined and when the doctor looked at my scar she realized that it was infected. I was allergic to adhesive strips and it was oozy and red. No wonder why I was in pain. I was given the requested pain killers and some additional medication. Its still not fun to be treated like a drug addict after youve just given birth, or to feel like youre crazy for being in pain. After my 6 week check up I was released. Kind of surprised that there were no more follow-ups scheduled and the only thing they were interested in was pushing birth control on me.
I have already written a review about the terrible experiences I had during my pregnancy here and after with the multiple surgeries I had. However this review is about a simple birth control refill. They are incredibly unhelpful. After my pharmacist already told me to call them to fax over the refill they said that the pharmacy needs to fax over a request form. I’m not going to sit here an call back and forth between two different businesses. I’m officially never going back. Not to mention the staff is RUDE.
The nurse that checked me I didn’t had much of a personality. I asked a couple questions but she did not respond. Perhaps she couldn’t hear me?Dr. Booth is fine. Confident and knows her stuff. I asked a question and she was quick to tell me her perspective, however didn’t ask for mine. I did end up little by little explain my perspective. She listened and understood why I was asking.
This place is horrible (baby #2)I went back to place for baby #2. Why, I will never know. I must have forgotten how disorganized they were and how they basically run a mill. I do think I got better prenatal treatment from their team, however, my postnatal care was so abhorrent that I am still being treated for PPD a year later.I was scheduled for a c-section which was supposed to ease my mind. After my first birth I made sure to constantly remind my doctors both verbally and on all of my paperwork that I was allergic to adhesive strips. I ended up going into labor 2 days early. I arrived a MMC dilated at 8cm. I went in for a c-section. Everything seemed like it went ok. I was discharged after 2 1/2 days. This is when things went downhill.A few days later I realized that my scar area hurt very very bad and was on fire. I realized then that they had used adhesive tape on my scars and once again they were infected. This time though the infection came back with a vengence. My scar was bright purple, bubbly and oozing. It hurt SO bad. I immediately called WDSMOB and got in to see Dr. Mattapaki. This was about 5 days after I gave birth. The first thing she said to me was I see youre scheduled for a c-section. Um, no, I had already given birth and you delivered my son. Why is that the doctors cannot take 2 seconds to read your chart? I told her that I was VERY upset that they used adhesive strips after I repeatedly told their office that I was allergic to them and also that Mercy and they had my chart. Guess what, Dr. Mattapaki blamed ME. It was MY FAULT for supposedly not telling them when I was in labor that I was allergic to the strips, despite the fact that I had preregistered and they had my chart. I was floor. No responsibility. It took 3 different visits to my family doctor to finally clear up my infection and 3 weeks later. The last straw at this place was a check up with Dr. Booth. I was clearly having PPD after all of this and having a very hard time. I filled out their special questionnaire that showed this. Dr. Booth didnt even read it. Instead she just questioned me about birth control. I have never felt so defeated after having a baby. This place doesnt care about their patients. They dont communicate with each other. They dont read your charts. They mix up your charts and they clearly cant be bothered to read if youre allergic to something. I would never ever go back there if I were to ever have a second child. Im still upset about my last experience and the helplessness that I felt. Their postnatal care is abysmal and a slap in the face. I guess Im only lucky because my sons pediatrician noticed something was wrong with me and got me help. If it wasnt for that actual doctor I dont know what would have happened to my mental health. You would think an office full of women would be better at this- but they were not with me. The fact that I got blamed for my infection and they couldnt care less about PPD shows that this isnt a place that I would recommend any of my female friends to go to.
Absolutely awful people at this clinic. They hired somebody long enough to cover a maternity leave and fired them as soon as the person came back. They are condescending, rude, insensitive, and a bunch of bullies. You and your babies deserve much better care than they can provide, take your healthcare elsewhere.
Will be avoiding this location from here on out. My partner and I went to this location to finally get some answers on some pain in her pelvic region after visiting her family doctor. The family doctor gave more time and showed more respect to my partner than the doctors here. She was called out on her weight in a snide, disrespectful way. The diagnosis was wrong, and blatant signs of a different problem were ignored. The treatment option given was, again, administered with a nonchalant, this is whats best opinion without asking about my partners preferences or past experiences. Will be looking for a better fitting location for her health.
So far so good! Met with Dr. Davis today and she seemed very interested in what i told her about my previous experiences with other obgyn offices and got everything got taken care of. She was very professional and I’m so happy i finally found a place that doesn’t make me want to rip my hair out!!
Horrible staff insensitive. Always running late, to spent five mins with you and dismissing your concerns. By far the worst OBGYN. I learned more about my baby by paying for an ultrasound out of pocket. Below is my Yelp review.
Had an annual appointment here last summer and found out they did some extra things they never told me about and charged me $100. I called billing to ask about the charges and never heard back. Went in to talk to billing in person and a woman said she would email the doctor and call me after the holidays. Another month later got a call from debt collections because they sent my bill to debt collections instead of returning a call. Called again and demanded they retract what was sent to collections and asked for another explanation of charges. Never got an explanation so paid the $100 bill not knowing what I was paying for. Now a year later I just got another letter saying I owe more from a year ago for lab work? Called billing again and talked to a miserable, RUDE woman named Susan who told me they weren’t affiliated with the lab for the billing even though they sent the lab work out. She said she had no idea their contact information then hung up on me. My advice: avoid at all costs for unnecessary charges and rude employees.
I went to this clinic back when it was over close to 22nd St about 10 years ago. Loved the staff, had excellent care. Ended up having Dr. Olesen for delivery and everything went wonderfully. LOVED Dr. Olesen (who has since retired from the OB/GYN clinic - I was a little bummed when I found that out).Ended up getting pregnant last year so I decided to go back to the same place. The staff had completely changed except for one Doctor (Makkapatti was wonderful both times to me), ended up having wonderful care the second time as well. LOVE the gal in the lab, she was always a sweetheart. This time Dr. Lange delivered my baby. She is absolutely wonderful (as well as her nurse staff). SO glad I came back to this clinic. I have never had a problem with them.
My daughter is a current patient. Today she forgot her mask for her appointment. Happens when she explained she was given a mask. Great! But then was made to sign something stating she will only be given one mask and if she came in again without a mask she would not be seen. What kind of policy is this? I understand when we had a mask shortage but that is no longer a thing. You can walk in Hyvee and Walmart and they will give you a mask if needed. I work in a doctors office myself and understand it can be frustrating when someone is not wearing a mask but we will gladly give a patient one to use. My daughter defiantly felt Humiliated and Embarrassed today. Someone needs to review this policy!!!!!
The doctors, nurses, and assistants are all absolutely wonderful at this facility. I personally have loved every medical professional at this facility. However the receptionist and workers that check you out and in are horrendous. They always have terrible attitudes when I call and in person. I have such mixed feelings about this place because the physicians are wonderful but the face of this practice is just awful.
I had both of my children through West Des Moines OBGYN and have always had a great experience. We had some scares with my first and they handled it so well. I always felt like I was under the best care possible. Dr. Massey delivered both of my girls and did an amazing job! My first was a c-section and my second was an unexpected VBAC. IF I have more children, it will definitely be through WDM OBGYN.
This is my second pregnancy going to West Des Moines OBGYN. I love the office. Theyve always went above and beyond for me. Theres only one doctor I dont care for and the staff have made sure to accommodate me. Im glad that my insurance covers my visits here as I really enjoy the nurses and staff!!
If I had the option of not giving stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. I would like you mothers to be to know I am pregnant with my first child and this was the office my family doctor sent me to. My first visit here way back in July was awkward. I loved the doctor I had met although I forget her name. She was super nice, very informative and seemed to care about your needs/concerns. After seeing her I had to have my blood drawn for whatever. The nurse that was assigned to assist me had to prick me TWICE before blood was finally drawn. Although she would check on you to make sure you were feeling okay, I was very uncomfortable about her continuously moving the needle under my skin and having to double check with her coworkers that she was hitting a vein. I left bothered since my doctor never had an issue with drawing blood even with my little veins. My fiance and I then waited for our first ultrasound that was scheduled at 2:00 -- Half an hour later after sitting there twiddling our thumbs, I got up to ask if we would be assisted soon, the receptionist seemed to know nothing about the ultrasound appointment. I was told to have a seat, Im assuming she went to find an ultrasound technician because about another 10-15 minutes we were finally called back. We found out we were at that point in time 8 weeks pregnant. I understand theres not much to see that early but we were in awe and the ultrasound tech seemed to not give a rats ass and rushed the entire experience for us. So okay first appointment wasnt the best so I continued to go. The lady that drew my blood the first appointment still had to prick me twice. The doctors dont care and just want to get you in and out of the office after you wait 20-30 minutes after youre expected appointment. Ive seen a different doctor every single appointment except the past two. I will not name names, but she seemed okay the first time and the second time was just absurd. Long story short, my doctor made me feel like I was an idiot for asking about the concerns I had with lack of sleep and not wanting to rely on unisom to help me sleep, she had specifically said I dont know what you expect me to say, as long as youre getting a solid 8 hours of sleep youre fine. All pregnant women normally dont sleep and its not like itll get better after birth because youll be waking up every two hours to feed the baby anyways. Thanks Captain Obvious, like I already didnt know sleep wont exist after birth, but BEFORE birth what ALTERNATIVE options are there to HELP ME SLEEP without the use of drugs. Then we get to the topic of the weight I have gained. I started at 122 LBS and am now at 146 LBS 24 weeks pregnant. She asked about my diet - granted I do not always make the healthiest decisions I know damn well I dont eat 2000 calories a day, let alone go over it. I told her I snacked and ate late dinners due to my odd work hours. Then we get to the topic of how often I exercise. I told her I considered prenatal yoga until I had financial difficulties because I now have to see a chiropractor for my back issues [I NEVER got resolved after bringing it up multiple appointments by the way] and I also let her know I have a desk job and can sit on my ass for 8-10 hours a day so I really dont get the option to just leave as I please to go work out. Her response was that Im cutting it close to the 25-35LB weight gain expectancy and although some woman may gain more, I should make more of an attempt to do 30-40 minutes of cardio a day and that yoga wont do much for me because it wont burn any calories. Fine, I get it. Ive put more weight on than I should but put it in a nicer manner or understand the circumstances that I am facing. Finding a new OB asap.
I can’t thank Dr. Lange here enough for listening and I mean truly listening and offering the possible solutions and working to find a solution that I was comfortable with! I’d gone to two different obgyns over the span of 10 years that basically had said there was nothing they could do and it was probably nothing. Not here, man alive even the nurse seemed to care that I got answers I’d been searching for. Thank you thank you thank you! Thank you for providing a comfortable environment to deal with feminine health. It meant the world to me. Truly.
I had previously written a not so good review after not being able to get my regular exam until 1-1/2 months after calling to schedule (especially since Ive been with them over 12 years) BUT I am happy to report that this morning they called me and are getting me in much sooner and I am really appreciative of that!
Love my healthcare professional. But this office is TERRIBLE. The support staff cant ever seem to get it all correct on the first shot, and most months Im stuck calling the pharmacy and the office back and forth for a simple birth control prescription. Its so upsetting and they constantly seem inconvenienced by me, even though it should be a simple process that is only done a couple (if not just a single) time per year. So annoying. Would recommend Maggie Livingston to anyone, but dealing with the staff constantly has me wondering if I should just find a new provider all together. Really disappointing.
I appreciated the excellent care I received from Leticia, CMA and Maggie, ARNP. Both listened, reassured, and shared helpful information.
Kendra made the process smooth. She was very detailed, and explained everything to us.
I cant say enough good things about about WDSM OB/Gyn. Dr. Lange and Crystal were amazing; So personable, understanding and listened to me (and my humor). I had 2 good sized cysts (8 cm and 13cm) causing me enough pain that 1000 mg of ibuprofen every 12 hours couldnt handle it. (Bad I know) I was in a prior system (Iowa Clinic) when they were found by my regular doctor (Oct. 15). Was referred to their own OB/GYN in Wdsm but they were in no hurry to help me. (My doctor was concerned so I called 3 times to push me up) They set me up for my initial consultation for Dec 14!! (2 months later) with surgery a possible solution sometime in January. I was in misery and couldnt wait. 2nd week Nov I contacted WSDM ob/Gyn , they set up appt for the 27 and surgery 2 weeks later. This may be TMI for a review but it was life saving for me. The surgery went great (thank you Dr. Lange) Mercy West was awesome. Im healing well and have my life back.
I have been a patient here for many years. I have not had 1 single bad experience. I have had 2 children and great treatment for both pregnancies. Had some scares during the 2nd pregnancy and they were very proactive on my care and for my daughter. I have both of my daughters going here as well.Theses doctors and staff are amazingDr. Naanap (retired)Dr. Rose (retired )Dr. MakapattiShawna F. ARNPJasmin nurse for Shawna
Be aware of their insurance bill scam. They discriminate against state insurance and dont bill your insurance correctly then the doctors harasses you by your own personal phone while hes on the golf course. I had both private and supplemental insurance yet they never billed my insurance and the doctor sued me 8months after my visit due to his own negligence and refusal to bill insurance correctly. They are running an insurance scam be ware and go somewhere legit.
Everyone is sweet here, but Kendra worked with me today and she was amazing.
Dr. Massey and staff took time to listen to my concerns and answered all of my questions. She even followed up after my appointment. Fantastic care!
I really like the service.Thank you all, special thanks for Mrs Kendra . Amina B
Worked us in when their schedule was busy. Kendra in ultrasound was very sweet👍
I don’t like this place at all....... staff is very rude and not helpful the doctors rush to get you in and out.. I found a new OB to go to and I had to call a lot cause my info was never sent over.. so I finally went in and had to demand to have it done right away cause I had to cancel and reschedule so many appts. Very disorganized and don’t know what’s going on all the time.I would NOT recommend this place at all.The ultrasound tech was rude and very rushed to get me in and out.. I would recommend to find a different OB then this clinic....
This place was terrible. I went in to figure out why I was having so much pain during my period since I have never experienced it before 8 months ago. When I was in there I had no examine. I was only told my only option was an IUD which I expressed I did not want. Once I stated that, they made me feel stupid for not wanting one even though that is my decision. I wanted to figure out the underlying issue thats causing pain and they wanted to treat their best guess of what was wrong without any testing to disprove it was anything else. They did not listen. Wish I could give zero stars.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Makkapati. I was looking for a doctor that actually listened and cared and that is exactly what she is! I had gone to three OB/GYN prior to her and third time was the charm! She is very patient and would recommend her to anyone!!
Kendra did my ultrasound and she was absolutely amazing so sweet and was so helpful. Absolutely love this place already
VERY disappointed in this clinic. I have been a patient for a year and have had a lot of medical concerns that I wanted addressed with a nurse. After playing phone tag with Maggies (ARNP that screwed up) nurse for 5 days and having her leave me a detailed message with me leaving another afterwards saying I wanted a call back and never receiving one I decided to take it to the clinic manager. Who also seems to be of no help, so dont even bother trying to receive help from her either. I am now dealing with unnecessary measures at another office and they are having to fix what this clinic screwed up. I will NEVER suggest this clinic to ANYONE. In fact I HIGHLY suggested going to UnityPoint OBGYN at Lakeview because they seem to actually know what they are doing there and actually listen to my concerns. I am livid with how unprofessional this clinic is, its absolutely ridiculous.
Do not go here!!! If you have actual issues they do not let you speak to anyone they make you wait with a call back for hours!!My wife and i have waited3 1/2 hours for a call back because labor and delivery at mercy say contact your ob!We had a serious potential issue going on tried to ask for ANYONE and the person on the phone said no and we will call back.....its very serious issue to wait for hours for answers when labor and delivery tell you to call your OB and they say wont help you.If you actually want an ob to help and not have a crazy wait for answers that could be seriousAvoid them!!!Plus most of the staff is rude and dont really listen to your needs.
Love Dr. Lange... very sincere and takes the time to listen. The new formalities that come with dealing with the pandemic are awkward for all but the staff is incredibly courteous and doesnt hesitate to explain what is going on and answer questions.
Everything was fine I love the ultrasound lady what I didnt like is when I had to get blood drawn and the lady used a huge needle and poked through my vein to the other side and my arm started to swell with blood to the lady use butterfly needles only
Kendra the ultrasound tech was very polite and explained things really good. Thank you Kendra 😊
I have been going to WDM OBGYN since I was a teenager and as an adult, I had both of my daughters with them and I couldnt have asked for better treatment! They were very friendly, professional, and helpful during every situation! I highly recommend them to anyone!!
Went there for our 20-week unltrasound, all was great! Kendra did everything she could to catch the face and to see the gender!
My wife went in for an infertility consult, they wouldn’t do anything, just referred her to an infertility clinic and charged for a full office visit. Very impersonal and felt like just a number.
Kendra is great!! Thanks for all the explanations and kindness! It was a fantastic experience for us :)
She put me at ease. Listened to my concerns and got the testing and results back quickly with a rapid follow up including plan of treatment. I really appreciated her and her staff
I always have a great experience. The office staff are nice. I like my doctor and her nurse. I havent had any issues or concerns. Ive been going to this office for many years.
Michelle at reception is absolutely rude and just plain unprofessional . I would of loved to have started going to this practice for checkups but she was completely rude and unprofessional on my first phone call. I have zero interest in being seen here now !
I’ve been going here for years & have always had a positive experience from the girls at the front desk right on up the line. I’ve also had the same nurse for years. I think that says a lot for the work place.
No bedside manner, no resolve of issues, cancellation of my surgery the day before. Lack to establish trust with the patient. Uninformed about trauma despite certifications.
Kendra did a wonderful job and she is super helpful!!
They are very friendly and welcoming and always respond to any requests you have! The nurses here are like family and will make you very warm any time you come here! thank you
She is one of the most amazing doctors I have ever met. she delivered my son and took care of many procedures for me and was always very informative and amazing I could not ask for a better doctor!
Had appointment with Kendra and she is so nice and very informative and explained things well.
The check-in lady is a real Karen. Why would you want to work at the front desk when you dont like people?? All other staff and doctors are great, just one bad apple.
Kendra was very kind and helpful.
Kendra was amazing!! Thank you for being so helpful and kind.
I had a wonderful experience with dr Massey. She is quiet and gives first impression of reserved but actually is very caring.
Worst ob/gyn. I would give them no stars if that was an option. Had my first two kids there and it was great but since they retired it has gone WAY down hill. I suggest no one go there. You wont get cared for the proper way. The staff is super unprofessional.
I love this place. Theyve always helped me through the not so good and through the great times. They make sure Im taken care of and I appreciate them more than they will ever know! I have and definitely do recommend this place.
No one answers the phone at this office. Then if you leave a message to have someone call you back , you never get a call back. The office staff here either sucks, or executive management just doesn’t believe in staffing properly. Go somewhere else for your healthcare needs. This place is horrible
Love WDM OBGYN Im a patient here and love the staff and all the doctors!! They truly care about their patients!! Would recommend this clinic in a heartbeat💓!
Had an hysterectomy, and Dr. Lang has been wonderful throughout the whole process, thank you.
Called to schedule new patient appointment, and they are not accepting new patients. Should probably mention that on your website to avoid wasting peoples time
