Front desk service was friendly but that’s about the only good experience I had. I got here at 1:20 for a 1:45 appointment and I’ve been sitting in the exam room until now. It is currently 3:15. I took one urine test and that was it. My symptoms include nausea and nearly passing out, I really shouldn’t be in a room for this long but here I am. Literally typing this as I’m sitting here. Ridiculous
I had to get a TB test for work. I walked in on Friday, got my shot within minutes and was on my way. The doctors and staff we so kind and personable! I had to go back on Sunday to have my test read. The staff on the weekend were just as kind as the ones working during the week. If I ever have any medical issues, this is the place I will go! It was such a short wait compared to the ER! Thank you all for the impeccable service!
My whole visit from checking in to checking out was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful! We registered online before coming in which made checking in easy and fast. It was our first visit to a medical aid unit so I was kinda worried about how it would go, but it went excellent!
Went here back in March because my husband was in a car accident and we had already sat at the hospital for 4 hours with 20 people still ahead of us so at 4am we left. The doctor was great we saw but we told the front we needed to be billed because the insurance company of the other person was to pay. Now all of a sudden 4 months later medexpress has taken it upon themselves to take 176 dollars out of out account with out sending us any kind of bills or notices or anything and this is now the second time they have done this with out consent to do so. Im now considering getting a lawyer because for the second time were getting the run around all we want is the money put back and a paper bill so we can figure out with the account lawyer why it was never taken care of.
Treatment was great; I was able to book an appointment in advance, I got right in, and the whole care team was friendly and attentive. However, they did not have rapid COVID tests, so I was given an unnecessary prescription of antibiotics for a sinus infection. 3 days later when I was doing worse, I went to a different urgent care and tested positive for COVID. Would be a 5 star experience, but I didn’t get the right dx or treatment which was unfortunate, and likely led to me unintentionally exposing others to COVID.
My mom was there for an x-ray of her hand. Amber was the x-ray tech and she took care of my mom 100%! She was wonderful and just super nice.Megan was the NP and was also very nice and professional.Thank you!
The staff was super nice and professional made me feel good about my visit. However I feel like I wasted my money and insurance since you advertised for rapid test but didnt have any when I went in.
The staff was friendly but they completely dismissed all my symptoms. I am still sick and all that was said to me was to take Benadryl. Honestly not worth the $140 I had to pay.
All of the staff were extremely pleasant. The front desk woman was so friendly and accomodating even with the business of the lobby. The doctors and nurses were so friendly and patient even after a long day of emergencies. If I ever need urgent care I will be returning here.
Great experience, so glad this opened so close to my house. Easy to book online, got seen immediately even though I showed up early, and everyone was super friendly.
Hi Christiana, go healthcare, everything went really well. The front office staff and the medical staff were very efficient.
Easy to make an appt. Seen timely. Did not understand why I couldnt lay on the table and had to sit in a chair while I had to wait for the Dr. and the results to my Covid test. I was told, I was a fall risk. 52 year old female, sick with Covid. I sat on the floor instead and rested my head on the chair. Need to understand the fall risk that was cleary communicated that the nurse taking care of me could be written up if I was laying on that table. Also, my script was sent to Rite Aid. They do not carry Paxlovid. No one contacted me from Med Express to inform me of this as Rite Aid communicated this with Med Express. I had to call 3 times the next day to get someone to have the script sent to another pharmacy. Called every 2 hours. 8, 10 and Noon. Finally, a woman named Cynthia got this taken care of for me in 10 minutes. THANK YOU! I had spoken with Sarah the two other times I had called and didnt get anywhere. WHERES THE DISCONNECT?
Went here for a drug screen.Staff were very kind and professional. Was able to have some fun small talk to make the process not as boring. I recommend this location.
I visited MEDEXPRESS yesterday with an extremely sore throat. I was seen quickly and was prescribed an antibiotic. Started it yesterday. So far the throat is no better but I need to give the mens time to work.
I wish to compliment the doctor Lauren who was very thorough. I am so glad you sent a sample to be tested for Covid because it came back positive. Our experience was positive.
Awesome 👌 experience great Dr that took me right back to care for a bad case of poison ivy on my right arm. I never been there but will definitely go back when need be there on Kirkwood hwy by the Starbucks
The Office Staff and Doctor were Wonderful!! I was able to get an appointment right away. I saw the Doctor...Had my Diagnosis...and My Treatment Plan within the hour. I would definitely use them again.
The staff is awesome! I came in close to closing and they took care of me like it was mid day no hurrying. It was a pleasure !
Easy registration and quick response due to symptoms and age. Staff and Provider were skilled and attentive!
Everyone that I came in contact with was extremely professional with a positive and friendly welcoming. I was especially impressed with the Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Megan, as she was so friendly with her big smile and welcoming personality that immediately made me feel comfortable, at ease, and as if I were her only patient as I didn’t feel rushed and didn’t feel as though she didn’t have time for me. Just the total opposite because she took her time in explaining everything to me as well as answering all my questions; even with the pain I was feeling, I left there 100% totally satisfied and with a smile. I most certainly give Ms. Megan FIVE stars and two thumbs up. ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️ 👍🏽 👍🏽
There was no wait time. The staff was extremely kind. A great experience!
I consider that this place is not a child-friendly one. I went with my 5-year-old child because he had a high fever. They had to do a strep throat test, but my child started crying and refused to let the doctor (an Asian female description; I dont remember the name) do the test. I tried as a mother to control him and help in the situation, but the child was terrified even more when the doctor and nurse were upset with the child for not cooperating. The nurses and doctor had no empathy with the child; they were rude, and the doctor did not last a minute in the office and left upset. After they told us that everything was ready and their medication was sent to the pharmacy, none of them said goodbye, and even their faces showed annoyance just because one child cried when he saw that they would do an uncomfortable and painful test for him. In general, it was disappointing to see how health professionals do not have the patience or empathy to work with children. Next time, I better go to the pediatric urgent care.
Very pleasant experience ! Had a few people ahead of me but didn’t have a long wait ! I give them a 5 for the whole time there !
I was able to schedule an appointment online and get in and out with no problems. The entire staff was very compassionate and helpful. My issue was addressed and treated. A total positive experience all the way around. Definitely recommend this place.
Do not come here for a drug screen because they’re dependent on a computer. 1 computer that I still have no idea what it has to do with giving a urine sample. I’ve been in and out of facilities when it comes to urine screening. I have much respect for towards people’s time but this place is very disrespectful and enjoy keeping you waiting. They seem to enjoy the distress and anxiety people go through especially when you’re waiting two hours and still haven’t been seen.
The cumulative rating says it all. I came in today with asthma and significant shortness of breath. I was told I was not an emergency because my oxygen levels were within range. She didn’t even ask if I had asthma, rather reminded me that I would have to wait like “everyone else” …. 20 mins I was called back and she was soooooooo rude. She refused to hear my background, be reminded my breathing was sparce…. She didn’t want to hear anything I can barely say. She attempted to check my oxygen with a reader that wouldn’t stay on, and when I asked her to turn it on…. Her response was- stay still or maybe it doesn’t work. Well after 2 tries, I took it off and asked for equipment that worked. I tossed it on the counter that was literally 1 inch away from my arm and 5- 6 inches from the keyboard. She refused to treat me and when I asked her if there was a problem because her bedside manner was soooo cold. She responded with all the “I” statements … I amgreat at my job, I am excellent, you are the problem.I said- ma’am…. My experience right now is proving otherwise. She walked away and said- you need to leave I don’t treat patients like you.I was appalled. When I called a supervisor at another location, the supervisor shared she just spoke to this CNA… and she said I became abrupt and threw the device across the room 2 times!!!!!That device would have broken into pieces .While I was seen and clearly needed a slew of meds, the integrity of this establishment is sketchy. To prove how there is an efficiency issue here….. when I was done with the doc, she diagnosed me with a sinus infection… as we walked out l, I asked about my covid and flu swab results… the doc literally said… “ oh, I forgot….” Standing in the hallway she yells “is her test ready” … well guess what? I have the FLU!Then… I go check out, review my prescriptions and recognized she forgot my asthma meds….There is nothing good about medical care which lacks integrity. My family, friends, students, and I will never return here.Major course corrections needed.Oh and the CNA… was all of a sudden being soooo loud with a extra loving kind spirit allllll of a sudden….. ridiculously inappropriate.Liars should never consider the medical field. It requires sensitivity, empathy, and integrity. Today, this was the farthest aspect of my experience.
Staff was courteous, and very kind. Would recommend this facility to anyone who needs care. The ability to schedule the appointment online was especially helpful, since I was seen according to the time I picked.
The appointment system is a joke. We were forced to make one, and still sat for 2 hours before getting called back. Several people who came in after us were called back first. What is the point of appointments if no priority is given to them? And why were we told that are they mandatory if you allegedly still take walk-ins? The medical staff were lovely once we were finally seen, but I would not return to this location or recommend it to anyone else. There is nothing urgent or express about this place at all.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff and doctors. Can get quite busy in there, so an appointment made may end up being an hourblater that set. Unfortunately, got behind a patient that did nit like the diagnosis give to them and had a long 45 minute discussion about it, making every patient after them wait even more. I had an allergy reaction to something, and they diagnosed it quickly. Had to wait 20 minutes for the paperwork on my prescription. My 4 oclock appointment ended up getting in at 5:15pm and sat in the waiting room until just before 7pm because of how busy they were and the one patient being unsatisfied.
The doctors and nurses here dont have a clue. They are probably rejects that barely passed college and couldnt get into a hospital, so they settled for a walk in clinic. I came here with an ovarian cyst rupture and the nurse didnt know what that was, like excuse me what? What degree in college did you get? I described all of my symptoms and she said yeah, thats not adding up, idk what u have and they just sent me to the hospital where I was diagnosed INSTANTLY with an ovarian cyst rupture cause real educated doctors and nurses know this. I feel like the nurses and doctors at this pitiful clinic passed with Ds in college. There is a reason they work here and not at Christiana or St. Francis. Some of them slept through college. Surprised they even passed their interview.
First, If I could rate ZERO STARS I certainly would. The front desk receptionist was kind. However, I waited over an hour for my appointment and then was passed over right in the waiting room by people that had come in after me that also didnt even have an appointment scheduled. How does that work? Eventually, I was called in to the first exam room by an CNA/LPN to do the vitals check and then I was taken to a different room and the door was closed. This occurred after one hour and forty minutes have passed. After 20 more minutes had passed and no contact from the doctor, I walked out of that room and asked if the doctor was coming. The doctor responded with I didnt know you were even in the other exam room. Id like to say that for an Urgent Care Center, this facility is PATHETIC with their logistics and display nothing but a Lack of Urgency and Empathy for the patients, along with general incompetence. This seems to be the direct opposite of their mission? Right? I wasted a total of two hours of my time and didnt end up with a diagnosis because I had to leave the facility since I ran out of time. Heres an idea-How about I stick the doctor in a room and keep him in there for about two hours and not let him know whats going on or when I am coming in to check on him? Do you think he would like that? The employees carry an entitlement attitude (with the exception of the front desk employee)-but that is probably the cause of the error of me getting passed over in the waiting room to begin with. It seems like they make the rules they like at the Kirkwood Hwy Facility. Lastly, I did pay the $15.00 Copay, and now I will wait for an extra charge on my credit card since they are quick with billing but not actually servicing patients. Actually, since I didnt see the doctor and ran out of time, I am wondering how they will bill the rest? Sounds like an opportunity for them to submit a FALSE charge for FRAUD for a visit that wasnt completed since I was never actually seen by the doctor. Ill keep an eye out for additional unauthorized charges from them and report back to everyone-I wouldnt put it past them with their entitlement attitudes and their subpar customer relations. I guess I better alert my credit card company as well, since MedExpress has committed fraudulent charges in the past......Hmmmm lets see- fraudulent charges and lets make patients wait without communicating-Sounds like a great business plan. I cant wait to get the automated response on here of well continue to try to get better.
Terrible location! I will never take any of my children there again! First of all we was there for over an hour before we even went to the back room to get my sons vitals checked. He let the medical assistant know that his pain level was a 10 because his finger was fractured/dislocated. Finally we get to a room, and after about 15 minutes I peeked my head out the door and seen Mr.Richards sitting down looking at a computer. Now 20 minutes go by an I peek my head out again, an still Mr. Richard’s was sitting in the same exact spot. Ok I said I’ll give it another 10 minutes. Peeked my head out again, a nothing changed, the nurse practitioner, Michael Richards was still there so I walked up to the medical assistant an asked her was this the dr an she said yes. I then asked him when was we going to me next because my son is in pain an you’ve been sitting her for 40 minutes, he then gets mad an said I’ve been seeing patients (which is a lie because it was empty in there) an if I’m taking to long you can leave. My husband then came out the room an said “sir my son is in pain and we’ve been waiting for a while now”. Mr. Richards then told us he’ll be in there shortly, so we sat down and pulled the door but didn’t close it. Next thing I know we hear this black lady saying “she needs to wait like everyone else, he told her that he was busy and she can go somewhere else.” I then came out the room an asked her why is she talking like that after we’ve already had a discussion with Mr. Richards? She then started yelling talking about you can leave an etc. I told her we wasn’t going anywhere because my son needs to be seen! I then go back in the room and hear her still running her mouth, so I pulled my phone out and started recording her. I also told her to call her boss because she’s acting crazy and ghetto. She picked up the phone and claimed to be talking to her boss but she was still acting ignorant while on the phone, however she did stop yelling once I started recording her. It was very clear that she was looking for an argument because wasn’t nobody even talking to Shananah. I didn’t catch her name but she was a short black lady with long braids and her nails was neon yellow. I also told her she needs to go take a walk because she was doing too much. I don’t understand how they have people like that working in professional establishments like that. This was back in August. And it’s my last time stepping foot in there.
They say walk-ins are welcome all the time, but I came an hour before closing and they didn’t wanna see me very rude Donna
I will never go back there again! Treated my kid for a URI a month ago. My daughter hasnt gotten over it went back and waited 3 hours to be given just a cough syrup yet her phlegm is green and she had a fever. The weirdo at the front desk was blabbing on the phone so it took us another 20 minutes to check out. Complete ridiculousness! The doctor also stated she went into the wrong room which is why we waited longer. If you can get rooms right than you probably cant take care of patients.
I hurt my ankle one morning and was sure how bad it was injured. I went to Med Express and I was cared for like I was at my primary care doctor. Everyone was friendly and caring. My doctor and nurses were outstanding with my care.Update: 2024 injured my back and the same doctor and nurses where there and once again performed an amazing service. They insured I had the correct insurance and address my condition perfectly. A half-hour after leaving the care center to pick-up the prescription, I went from (10 to 1 pain level) 15 pl down to 4 pl. I was finally able to sleep and feel ready to start recovery soon. I fully trust these care center.
The worst customer service. Checked my son in for an injury with a wonderful woman that was very knowledgeable at the front desk. She proceeds to leave and another woman comes to the desk. She’s checking people and me and my son are sitting in the waiting room very quiet. She stops Checking people in to ask us if we’ve been checked in. I replied to her. Yes we have been. She proceeds with her checking in and then stops again. 15 minutes later to ask me to move where I’m sitting from. The whole waiting room is empty! we are next to go back. So I ask what is the problem? I have been sitting here minding my business and you have stopped doing your check-in two times already to worry about me and my son sitting in the waiting room. I’ve already been checked in. We’ve already told you that. Now she’s yelling for me to move to the other side of the waiting room because that is the check inside. There is no signs and the lady that checked me in never mentioned any of that. She proceeds to again stop checking these people in to go get a manager to come outside in the waiting room and cause a scene. All because I wouldn’t move to the other side of the waiting room…. Honestly, they must be really miserable here and needed some entertainment. I’ve never been to a physicians office and get yelled at to move to another seat when there’s literally 50 open seats.
Love the new urgent care the staff were so niceee especially the doctor shes an angel 🩷🩷🩷 so happy for this place
Made apt for 530 people that were walk ins, and another person said he came hour and half early his apt was at 7pm but they’ll wait and they were taken right back and were seen before me. Don’t get me wrong I’m no Karen I understand they do triage system most serious goes first at this point they hadent even asked me what was wrong with me it checked me in just thay it was an injury. The place is a joke I’ll drive further to get actual descent medical care even in the case of an emergency! Don’t waste ur time
The African American woman who works at the front desk, descent shows a lack of respect towards the patients and seems unwilling to fulfill her job responsibilities. Additionally, the wait time at the clinic is exceedingly long, and I personally had to wait for three hours before being seen. Consequently, I do not recommend visiting this clinic.
They saw me within 10 minutes of arrival. Dr Nicole was great! Quick with a solution to my health needs. The front staff were super friendly. The offices we extremely clean. I knew I had no worries.
This was a 5 star review, changed to 1 star. Horrible front desk. Called me to go over test results, left a message, so I called them back. First I was put on hold for 25 min, and when I hung up and called back numerous times, and they kept picking up the phone, and hanging up. Who ever did that, did it because it’s a Saturday and the office manager is not in. That individual needs to be terminated and replaced by someone that cares about their job. So I called a different location, and got my results in 5 min. At the end of the day, it’s a business. The individuals playing games at the front desk are willing to harm the branch’s reputation because they lack the maturity and competence to do their job with a basic level of patient care and professionalism, which is a standard for a healthcare facility. To make it worse, they harm the reputation of the providers and nurses that actually go above and beyond to make up for the poor experience patients have to deal with at the front desk, and that’s not fair to the providers.
Had a 5pm appointment and waited for over a hr for the dr to see me. When dr came in she acted as if she was scared to come anywhere near me. Came if for back pain and dr never 1 time touched my back. On my intake form it said was there for urge to urine which I never said I guess that explains why I needed a urine test. (Falsifying docs to make money off tests is not cool). When I left all I knew was my back hurt. I will never come back to this place again.
I made appointment for a drug screen and was never asked what other test I would be getting done…I also needed a tb test and my appointment was made for 5pm so I went all the way to the concord pike store to be told that they couldn’t help me because it was after the time for the tb test! So she made another appointment for the next day at 10a! I go all the way back there the next day for them to tell me they weren’t able to perform the tb test again because nobody was there that could do them! So I had to call of work to go all the way to the kirkwood hwy med express! It was very inconvenient and unprofessional and I’m sure my prospective employer doesn’t know that this is going on! Especially when I needed to have this test done at a certain time!
Cynthia at the reception desk is by far the most ignorant employee that I have ever seen anywhere. I came in before closing time due to an accident at work. She immediately told me that they were full to capacity and motioned for me to leave. Then she asked me how I got in since she shut down the check in app. I told her I was injured at work and this was the only closest place open (this site does not have a good reputation). She continued to tell me that they were too full (a mother and daughter who were friends of her and she treated with respect) and one other patient. One more in the back. She kept harping on how I got in which made me feel bad for coming, but I was in pain. She threw her hand up and told me to be quiet. I was about to come across that desk. The first patients were taken care of and as the last one left, he stopped and told me good luck. He was about to say something to her, too.Since it was near closing time, they didnt take X-rays on my knee. I was in and out within minutes.Upon leaving, another person came in and was promptly made to leave by Cynthia. Cynthia bragged how she knew people were going to complain, because it happened many times before. She said that she didnt care because nothing will be done. I believe it. Ive spoken to friends who have had contact with her and they have had the same experience.Cynthia needs to consider a job where she doesnt come in contact with people.
My husband went to this location over a week ago with a severe cough, slight fever and post-nasal drip. He had a rapid strep test that came back negative and thus was diagnosed with a “severe sore throat” and told to gargle with salt water. No medication or cough suppressant was prescribed. A complete waste of a co-pay. Fast-forward to now: It’s actually bronchitis. I don’t understand how something can be misdiagnosed like that when someone is coughing so much to the point of vomiting and is told, “Oh, it’s just a bad cold.” Don’t waste your time or money with this location.
After almost an hour of waiting, I received a call and they immediately put me on hold. Why would you call me just to put me on hold? Just wait until you have time to call me. After that I had to give whoever called me my card number 3 times before she got it right, because she was interrupting me as I tried to read it to her. I haven’t even made it in the door and it is already a bad experience. Would not recommend.Edit: whoever is at the front desk did the same thing to others after I walked in. I watched her dial out twice just to tell them she was putting them on hold. No patients at the counter or any staff members talking to her prevented her from finishing the call. Extremely rude and unprofessional.
I totally would recommend MedExpres on Kirkwood Hwy. The office staff and Dr. were very personable! I have been to this location in the past and never had an issue. The physician on duty that day had to send my pharmacy more script information. The office person took the time to call me to let me know the extra information had been sent.
My daughter and I waited 3 hours to be seen. There was 1 person checking in and 1 provider. Unacceptable! This is what you call convenience? I will find a different option if I ever need a quick walk in service again.
When I cant get a same day appointment with my Dr and Emergency rooms I dont have time for or money I can go to MedExpress . The staff and service personnel and in a timely manner with a copay my insurance covers my visit. And great hours of service 8am to 8 pm.
This place is a absolute joke For a medical building. Its supposed to be a walk in clinic. My appointment was for 430. Got there at 2pm. All these people were going before me that showed up after me. Turns out they made appointments. The front desk ladies were telling people to go home apparently and then come back. Some dudes name was called and he wasnt even on the property. 45 min later he showed up n was taking back right away. I could have been seen in that 45 min. This isnt the first time either! Im done with this place! Do not recommend going their if you need to be seen in a timely fashion. So much URGENT care.
As I have previously had my best experience being injured at your last center I visited on 202 Wilmington Concord Pike when i had the second worst case of poison ivy in my life, I was at first sad and hesitant to take an appointment at an alternate location....but trusted the process as I know you are slammed with different difficulties maintaining each branch. To my surprise...but not to dare shadow the concord Pike branch, this second location offered a similar but complete different amazing aspect as I have not been emotional infront of people in years and I felt 1000% comfortable allowing all my pent up feelings to come out at once due to my recent trauma unlike the additional forced times that day others enduced that took away something I can never get back.As it has been the single worst moment in my life minus possibly learning some devastating family information the same day, your staff was there to help me maintain my sanity as my idea of reality has left the building.Dr. Guru was amazingly stern and instantly reminded me of my mother whos once year anniversary of passing is coming up in Nov...it was truly warming to see her through your doctor.I just wish it was PC to give doctors hugs in todays world cause that would have just pushed me all the way out of my current hole.I also, however, want to give the biggest shout out and thank you to your xray tech that dealt with my 42 year old child self as i wrenched around to get xrays. Her bedside manor and motherly instincts made me tear up every time she apologized for even SLIGHTLY brushing up against me and ensuring my photos were completed both consistently and as painless as possible. The one thing I was most thankful for was during those short few hours, I was almost able to forget about what had happened to me to get there.I cannot offer enough words to show my appreciation enough. As a thank you, is there anyway I could bring in any non food item as a gift for each of them at both centers?Mike
This place is the worst of the worst. They turned my sick 12 year old away claiming that they can only take 4 walk ins in an hour. The place was empty, they just didn’t want anyone to walk in a half hour before the closed. Don’t advertise that you are open until 8 if you don’t want to take appointments before a certain time! Or have an advertised cut off point. As usual this was a huge waste of time. I only went there as a last resort and this proves why.
No sense in even scheduling an appointment, We had an apt. for 2:00 , come 3:00 and they still hadn’t called even 1 person of the dozen plus ppl sitting in the waiting room, finally at 4:00 we got up and left!!! And this was a Wednesday afternoon….
If I could give them no stars I would .med express this is the biggest joke . This not urgent care . No one here even cares to do their job . if you are in any type of pain that requires immediate assistance don’t even bother going here. every counter person is lazy . nobody wants to do their job and the wait times are unreasonable.
Very poor experience, colored lady with short hair in the front was very rude and disrespectful.Today, my mother and i came to this place to get my sports physical done, and as soon as we arrived she was already being very disrespectful and unprofessional. Not letting me finish my sentences, ignoring my questions, having a horrible tone and attitude. My mother is hispanic and can’t speak english very well so i am the one who has to translate everything to her, but while i was trying to translate this lady just seemed like she was in a rush being very impatient not letting me finish anything of what i was saying with a very awful unpleasant tone and attitude. Mentioning things that were clearly none of her business “You kids are dragging your parents here last minute when you had lots of time before to come” I didn’t even respond anything to her because i did not want to argue but why should that bother her or why is it any of her concerns? She was even speaking of irrelevant topics in her life that had nothing to do with me all while she was still being very rude “i used to be teacher at stanton middle school i know how you kids are” (i don’t even go to stanton middle school). even though she was saying all of these rude and negative things, me and my mother still maintained to be more professional than her. While she handed me and my hispanic mother the fill out sheets she looked up at my mom and told her “and they need to be filled out in english not in spanish”. Even after all of this while we went to sit down and fill out the papers she still had the nerve to kick us out and tell us to leave and to go fill them out somewhere else, That we couldn’t stay there because she needed every single chair in the room for patients , Even though there were only 2 people there, One of them FILLING OUT PAPERS! Last physical i got done a year before now we were able to sit in the waiting chairs and fill out all of our papers. Please do better MedExpress.
I went into the MedExpress Walk-In Care on Kirkwood Hwy with a foot injury. I was hesitant about going to an urgent care clinic amid the global pandemic for fear of being in direct contact with anyone that could be sick, but I also wanted to get an X-ray as quickly as possible. When I arrived, I stayed in my car and called to check in. No one is allowed to walk-in without being called in. Soon, I was told I could come into the waiting room (which was empty!), and then I was immediately taken back to get checked. Everyone had on masks, the rooms were clean, and there was hand-sanitizer everywhere. The whole process was super fast and easy, and I felt confident that I was truly being taken care of. I dealt with four different employees, and each one was super kind and compassionate. I couldn’t have had a better experience! They are doing a fantastic job at a time when going out in public can be utterly nerve-wracking. I felt safe and in good hands. I highly recommend this clinic!
The Kirkwood highway location was great and got me in within a reasonable time. The new castle location didn’t even half staff to address my needs. Being in the health field myself, I get the short staff, but we never turn ppl away. I was frustrated I had to go to another location but I was treated so well, so everything happens for a reason! Thanks Kirkwood location staff 🙂
This is for the MedExpress in Newark! Was not at all pleased with my experience there! I understand new computer programs and the installation of such. However it doesn’t explain rudeness to your clients. Shown Absolutely no empathy for the client in a 2 to 3 hour wait. Totally unacceptable. Granted, you may be frustrated with your new program, but it doesn’t give you the right to be rude and nasty. People usually are coming to you because they’re not well and need some sort of help? You gave none! A little bit of empathy would’ve gone a long way! This is the only location of the MedExpress, and the dealt with people like this, the others in New Castle and Kirkwood highway have been fine!
Wait time was 47 minutes to get a physical exam to then be told i needed a Tb test before the physical… went to get it done waited another 19 minutes in the room to then have a nurse who pocked me 3 different times because i had “tough skin” mind you she was staring at the person who came to the appointment with me and sounded like she was high in helium. only have to come back because its required by the job but def DO NOT recommend
Sorry, using my Son’s account. Went to Kirkwood site at 11:45am. Was told wait time was 2 hours. Did not get seen until 4:30. Was seen by Nurse and told to wait till she writes it up and calls in meds. Left in room until 5:00, until I peaked my head out, and everyone looked shocked. She forgot about me. The wait time was due to them only having one Docter. Sure I could have left, but after I waited 2 hours, I was committed to being treated to resolve me issue. As far as the people, Docters, and Nurses that work here, there is never an issue. They are all professional and knowledgeable. Whoever does the scheduling of staff though, should be made aware of this.
I walked out of this horrible place. I registered through the online option because its posted on the door and the only way you can get seen. I did not get any confirmation so I called to confirm. I was told to hold, but not placed on hold. I heard everything that the workers were saying. All of their conversation was non-work related and there was no regard for language. Then, someone just hung up the phone. I went inside to try to inquire if I was registered and I was met with nothing but nastiness. The lady at the counter wouldnt even let me talk. I tried to explain my situation and she kept cutting me off. I walked out. This staff has been and still is the definition of TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! I do not understand why this location is allowed to operate as a business. I was insulted and disgusted by the uneducated people working at this location. If I could rate this location with negative stars, I would start at -100!!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!
A very nice experience. The staff was accommodating, and the doctor helpful in directing me to what needed with my condition.
While I understand emergencies arise, and other patients may be in a worse situation - however, when waiting around for 2 hours, I didnt want to be pushed out the door and definitely not with someone elses paperwork. Then when I called the next day, no one had any answers for me because the people working there were not the same that treated me.
Shari is the absolute best there! She is so kind and patient and really makes you feel comfortable. I will continue coming to this location as long as she is there! For the overall office I went in for illness and was seen quickly and left feeling taken care of.
Just walking in the girl named Sara at the front desk was rude. She seemed like she didnt care about people or her job. Very slow just the checking process was a half hour. Im curious if its because her nails were so long she would type one letter at a time and gossip with her coworkers. Everyone else was very pleasant. The first person you meet is the face of Med Express and should be respectful and processional. Shame on you Sara. UPDATE SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS A WHILE BACK. SHE IS NO LONGER THERE I BELIEVE. THERE IS THE SWEETEST BLACK MEDICAL ADMIN (HOPE THATS THE CORRECT TITLE AND HES AMAZING. ITS PRETTY DARN QUICK THERE. THE NURSE WHITE LADY, SHORT HAIR, THICK, AND GLASSES IS GOD SENT. SEEN MULTIPLE DOCTORS WHO WERE ALL GREAT. WENT FROM 1 STAR TO 5!!!
The triage tech was nice and the doctor was great!! He was caring and so compassionate!! The only reason I can’t give five stars is the woman at the front desk coped an angry attitude only because we didn’t know the phone number and address for my friends preferred pharmacy, however we told her what shopping center it’s located at and on what street , near a major landmark. She didn’t have the knowledge to look it up in her computer but was belligerent to me. I just moved to DE and since she works in the medical field it is her job to look up the info on the medical screens and find the lists of pharmacies. I worked for Florida Blue Cross and I know she could have found the info easily. She sent the meds to another place because she really didn’t want to go the extra mile and find what we needed. Front desk staff need more training on customer service. Kindness goes a long way, but her angry attitude is the last thing we remember as we checked out.
Staff is really nice. Front office workers went out of their way to help today even when I was less than pleasant. Had to wait in car still but get it with covid cases still high. Helped my mom in and out in a wheel chair. Wait time was understandable. Dr and nurses were really helpful and informative about all my concerns. Front girls helped me find an open pharmacy on Sunday (harder than you would think). Thanks again ladies!!!!!!
Rude staff that would not answer questions- was told when I walked in that I had to do mobile check in. I was ignored every time I asked how, which was 3 times. I know I was heard, because eye contact was made every time I asked the question before the secretary turned away to address other patients. The website for mobile check in seems to not work on phones, so I had to call. Waited 45 minutes just to be told to go to my PCP, which I had previously explained twice I do not have. I work in the healthcare field too and understand that high patient volume is incredibly stressful, but there is absolutely no excuse for the fact that I was blatantly ignored when I know I was heard.
I have been here for varying illness and injury a handful of times for nearly 10 years, and I have always been treated with kindness and respect. I honestly do not understand the bad reviews Have I had to wait in the car for two hours? Yes. Am I the only person on the planet Earth? No. Sometimes we have to wait to get what we want, and until Musk invents medical robots that can fly to our house and simultaneously diagnose us and implant tracking devices in our skulls, I think the good people at Med Express are doing the best they can.
Everyone was very pleasant from the time that I called because I was a little confused. I was directed exactly where to find the building they got me in and out. Usually I’m told I have thin veins but I got my blood drawn with no issues I didn’t even feel it thank you so much .
I went first to the MedExpress that was close to my home. Their x-ray department was not working that day (a Sunday) so they directed me to another facility about 15 minutes away. I arrived there and after checking in I was informed that they only had 1 doctor and 1 x-ray technician working and that it would be about 2 hours before I was seen. It actually took 4 hours before I was seen. That was after they had directed their patients not requiring x-rays to the MedExpress that sent me to them.
My kids and I had an ongoing cough for over three weeks. My 7-yr old daughter’s took a turn for the worst so we all went in to this location that afternoon. Just moved to the area and local pediatricians offices not taking new patients four months out. Arrived at 3p (some trouble with computers getting us registered/inputting insurance but all worked out fine - office staff committed and kind) and saw nurse Jessica at 4:15p. She ran vitals, tests on everyone - so nice and friendly, great with the tired, sick kids. Doctor Tara saw us shortly after. They did a chest X-ray on daughter. Weeded out covid, pneumonia, strep, landed on bronchitis from initial viral infection. Steroids, inhalers, cough meds prescribed for all. Checked out without issue and was able to pick up all prescriptions at our pharmacy by 7:30p. A long afternoon but not bad considering other urgent care experiences I’ve had. A day later and we’re all feeling improvement. Thank you MedExpress Kirkland team!!
I went to this urgent care on 8/3 at about 4:30-5pm. Everything was seamless and easy! Called from the car as instructed and once I passed the screening I was able to enter. It was nice quiet and clean. The registration desk staff were polite. I was seen rather quickly, the nurse was personable and the PA that helped me was friendly. I never been to an urgent care or even an emergency room for myself (knock on wood). I heard horror stories about going into urgent cares but for me it was effective. Hopefully I don’t need to return but if so it would be this one.
I am sitting here waiting like instructed, reception was not so good. They dont take my insurance! Imagine that, an urgent care that doesnt take insurance! After getting my debit card numbers, I just wait. Advised if I leave, they will charge the entire visit amount to my card. After being called to come in, the nursing staff were fine. Much better personality! Vissie Sterling was out of this world! She made it all worth it!
My husband care was great, nurse and doctor did a wonderful job. They listened and showed that they care and explained things nicely. I gave only 4 stars cause the wait was little over an hour before we saw the nurse & doctor.
I came here yesterday and I just want to say thank you. The staff in the front and back are very professional and friendly. I noticed this place maintained cleanliness. I will definitely recommend MedExpress.
I never ever write bad reviews, or any at all for that matter, but this urgent care has got to have, hands down, the WORST customer service in a medical setting I have ever experienced in my life. Not just once did I have a terrible experience with customer service, but 3 times this past month(we’ve had a lot of sicknesses between my kids and myself). I gave them the Benefit of the doubt, but with that many instances of receiving poor communication skills, I would never go here or refer anyone to go here, ever again. I will say the medical professionals here are kind and get the job done, but customer service is the face of a company and if you don’t have that, truly I feel like you have nothing. They NEED to replace their receptionist staff, they are awful(maybe not all of them, but quite a few for sure) When you’re dealing with sick people, you HAVE GOT to be kind. The job I’m sure is stressful, but they should be working elsewhere if they can’t handle it.
Horrible horrible horrible...we went to go get tested and waited there for 2 hours just for them to tell us they couldnt do it. Apparently if you havent quarantined for 10 days and only 9 they wont see you. They could have told us this ahead of time when we called to let them know we were there and they asked us all the same questions the second lady did. Not only that but she tried to put the blame on someone else. We live 25 min away and this was a waste of time money and gas and now they have lost 4 patients because my family and friends said they will never go there again. Good.
Do not go here for dot physical!! I got mine done 2 months ago. I asked when done if they send everything in. (As my previous dr used to). They said yes it all goes in the system... Well they didnt because I got a letter today that dot pulled my cdl license due to them not getting my updated medical card. When I called I was immediately put on hold and still am for the 3rd time 22 minsso far . THANKS FOR NOTHING MED EXPRESS.
Great experience again. Checked in using the QRC on the outside door. Sat in my car and listened to music, received the confirmation call within 5 minutes, went inside and waited another 3 minutes. Was seen by the doctor with 15 more minutes. Love their service and will be back if necessary.
Please use doctor care and customer service was excellent in my time of needA+++++++ .
Super fast and staff was extremely nice. Highly recommend
It was great, the staff was so nice and professional and nurse and doctor was very support to my husband’s cold, sinus infection and cough. He feels much better now.
We were rushed through by the intake nurses like a number; you could tell they were just flying through the questions they had to ask. The doctor was very kind and said we could get our prescriptions here as long as they had them in stock. We asked at the checkout counter if we could get our prescriptions there and they said know it’s 8:04 it’s closed your 4 minutes late; (WOW) but your pharmacy should still be open for you to go get them. Thanks. Why when you still have patients ( 3 besides us) would you close the pill dispensary is my one question when it comes to professionalism and good bedside manner and customer service. Talk about feeling rushed in and rushed out.
I will never go to this med express again! I went for a TB screen for a new job. The nurse told me to come back after 5 on Sunday. I even repeated what she said because I was surprised they would still be open. She confirmed. I get there and the front desk says they cant read the result because I should have been there before 5. $36 down the drain! And note this was more than the cost of any of the other med express for the same thing. Money wasted, time wasted, including the hour I spent waiting in my car. When I looked at the paperwork, the nurse had stated the wrong day to return. What a disaster!
I wish I could rate MedExpress on Kirkwood Highway with no stars at all. This is the first time coming here, I called first, they never told me that I had to check in before going inside however the mobile check-in were down. so you had to go in and register. I first was told to go back to my car and call the number 998-2417 and they start doing my registration over the phone Im out here because of my knee ,so its hard for me to walk shes going to ask me about my insurance I tell her what I have, then shes going to have me to bring it. so once I bring it in, Im standing there and I said to her, you asked me to bring it in, she said , Im not finished registering you yet she made me stand there for about 10 minutes if not longer . another woman came in and the other receptionist took this woman who had three insurances like I did and had her done and I was still waiting for the rep who was registering me. I asked her for her name she refused to give me her name so I asked for the manger and there name , i was told Terry but shes not here so I actually am sitting in my car she finished registering me at 11:40 and it is now 12:42 so its over an hour and Im still sitting out here waiting for them to call me in. I will never come here again never will I come to MedExpress on Kirkwood Highway and the sad part about it is that its under United Healthcare Group and i am a client of UnitedHealthcare so Im going to report this to them as well
This place is absolutely horrible! They treat their patients as an inconvenience. Especially if you dont have a car to wait in.They assumed I thought I would be seen early because I had to Register inside and rolled their eyes at me when I told them my symptoms as if I was lying about not feeling well.I left early because of how horrible and belittled they made me feel I would rather deal with my sickness alone than be seen by them.I was completely okay with waiting as long as I needed so the people ahead of me in their cars could be seen so there is no reason to be assuming things about me
Everyone was SO nice and considerate. The great lady at the check-in was mobbed, but she kept her cool and treated everyone with kindness and respect. They all know their jobs. Great place.
The person on the phone here really is something else. I listened to her hang up on me, and then put me right back on a 30 minute hold after speaking to her and explaining the situation. We know how valuable your time is should NOT be the tag line on your hold recording. Its a shame too, Ive had good experiences with the doctors and nurses here, but the receptionist has ruined this place for me.*After being on hold on 2 lines for another hour (after which I was hung up on again) I was told that I needed to sit in the parking lot for ANOTHER 2 HOURS to be seen for a Covid test (totaling over 4 hours at this point). That is completely ridiculous. This place really needs to get its stuff together. It really is a shame because the horrible front desk staff is ruining the good name of the excellent medical staff here.
I went to Med Express on kirkwood highway 3/13/2023 @ 7:16 pm theres this lady she was playing with a child singing the wheel on the bus goes round and round and she keeps getting louder and louder as I walked in, as I approached the window to get registered she walked over towards me and said were not taking no more patients were full to capacity, I looked at her because i couldnt believe that she work there she said Im serious thats what they say Im to closed it down.To whom ever is in charge for this Med Express facility please get professional workers I worked in a medical facility an would never treat a patient like this lady did.
Everyone was very kind, patient, professional and caring.
Doctor on duty very rude & also in a hurry, doesnt seem to care about chief complaint or patient care had to see PCP. Waste of my time during a medical issue.
I see a lot of negative comments in regards to the wait time. Yes, the wait time is long ( I waited over 4 hours) but when I interacted with Kelly, I was not upset anymore. She was kind and thanked my for my patience. That made me realized that sometimes we are selfish and do not think about how many times they have to deal with upset clients while putting their own health at risk. That is why I gave HER a 5 start review.
The doctor was professional and nice, however the office staff is HORRIBLE!! They need to fire whoever answers the phone! I tried all day to obtain the results of my COVID PCR test and was told “check the portal, we’re too busy” and she hung up on me!!! After several calls back and continually being put on hold and never coming back to the phone I still don’t know my results! This is unacceptable!!! This is MY medical information!! Who does the woman who answers the phone think she is??!!! She would not give me my results!!!! Why???? If she doesn’t like her job get another one!!! She seriously needs to be fired! She’s unprofessional, rude, and nasty!!! She should NOT be dealing with the public, let alone people who are not feeling well!!!
I literally went into the med express knowing my symptoms and how I was feeling. The doctor tells me since my symptoms havent been going on for 2 weeks an antibiotic isnt going to work. I just have to let it run it course. So basically, go through another 3 boxes of tissues in 4 days and cough all night long for 2 weeks then they would give me an antibiotic! I dont like know anyone who would go 2 weeks dealing with those symptoms! I should of waited until today so I could see my actual PCP who knows what the heck they are doing! NEVER AGAIN I WILL GO THERE!
The staff is unpleasant. The wait times seem excessive given the few patients in the waiting room. I needed pre employment lab work. Was told the wait was 2 hours and that I Had to stay in the waiting room the entire wait time. They took my drivers license for ID and then did not give it back until I insisted. I have been in hospital quality/admin for 40+ years and this is an unacceptable way to provide service. If I had not needed this lab work for a consulting engagement I would have left. Did I say the front office staff was haughty and dismissive!!!!
This said walk in clinic is unwilling to schedule a pre employment drug screen but expect you to sit in the car in 97 degree heat a wait. The receptionist was extremely rude. When the first thing your hold message says is we value your time you think they would make a little bit of an effort to show it. I will attempt it again shortly hopefully I can be seen before I no longer can submit the test. They are still using the COVID excuse to cover their horrible customer service skills and the poor value that’s placed on patients. Employment during the pandemic should also be a priority seeing as many people have lost everything. Instead the staff at med express rather make it nearly impossible to even submit a drug screening.
I was treated well, and they ran two simple tests for this time of year. But they did not take a blood test, of which I think would have cleared up the underlying issue. V
I scheduled an appointment however waited over 2 hours. I was not even seen so I left. My time is valuable and I cant afford to waste it sitting in an office that is not even busy.
The only issue I had was having both a female physician and female observer in the room when I was asked to expose myself for a hernia examination. It was very embarrassing. Had I not been exposed (no punintended) to that indignity, the rating would have been perfect.
If I could give zero stars I would. To register on the phone took forty minutes, five on-hold events, and three repetitions of my information - during which time I could clearly see the receptionist taking personal calls on their cell phone through the window and getting up to stretch while walking around the foyer.Once registration finally finished, we were stuck waiting for three hours, almost until closing. For a two minute COVID PCR test.If this is the level of performance typical of MedExpress, I cannot wait for news of their bankruptcy.
Went at 9 AM in a Saturday morning to check for walk-in availability for a sports camp physical. The woman who answered the phone was rude and kept stating that my husband didn’t know what he needed and then when they placed him on hold and never returned he walked inside with his mask to check for availability and the receptionist who I am not sure if was the same person that answered the phone yelled at him that he couldn’t walk in without an appointment to a place that is advertised for walk-in appointments. Management needs to work with their staff in costumer relations/service and clear communication.
Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 was my first time going to Med Express on Kirkwood Hwy. My Primary Care Physicians office does not do testing for Covid-19 so I went to Med Express instead. Im glad I did. Since I worked in Healthcare for 32 years, specifically in a surgeons office, I look at doctors offices and staff with a different perspective. Med Express didnt disappoint. The staff was friendly and professional, from the two ladies at the front check-in area, to the nurses and doctor working that day. Everything was explained in detail, the two Covid tests I had done, plus test for Flu. I had a full and complete evaluation, right down to temperature and oxygen levels checked. It was actually a more thorough exam than what my Primary Care usually does. I got my test results back so fast, I knew by Sunday night I did not have Covid-19. Thank you Med Express for excellent care!
I went in, hoping to have a few tests done because I was concerned about some symptoms I had been experiencing. They didnt do any tests, they didnt check my vitals and they charged me 150 bucks for nothing. The doctor literally explained that my symptoms were due to the heat despite me telling her that I rarely go outside. This place is a scam.
The receptionist that helped me get checked in was amazing and she made sure that I was ok while waiting to be seen we need more helping people like her Thank You for the amazing support service
Didnt make it in. Was told to drive to the parking lot and then can in and register. Was put on hold for a half hour in the parking lot. Called back and told I need to stop calling because I lose my spot on hold. Which makes sense, but they seemed surprised I was on for a half hour. They clearly missed my line because they were able to respond after only 5 to 10 minutes the next time I was on hold. Now is when they tell me that it is a 2 hour wait. Why. On. Earth. ...would you tell someone to drive hour, put them on hold for 40 minutes BEFORE you tell them the projected wait time.Dont think anyone should take their chances with care here if they can avoid it.
So, I bring my daughter for a covid test, not to mention I was here last week with the same insurance. First, she may have meant to put me on hold but didnt. So, right after she asks about insurance, she says hold on. I hear another patient talking to the receptionist. She was very rude to him, not to mention once he left her and her coworkers went on to tease him. Saying that he didnt know what was going on, and he WANTED to have covid, and how these people, make her want to wear 2 masks. So after my daughter and I both (since she was on my carBluetooth) were privileged to listen to the respect shown to patients, she continued to chat until i asked if she would like my insurance ID #s. Well, then she realized I was on the phone. Next she said they didnt take my insurance, and I advised that yes, you do its on your website. Then she said it wasnt active, and I said yes, it is. Turns out the insurance website was down for maintenance, apparently she couldnt tell the difference between this and inactive insurance. Finally, someone who knew what to do got on the phone, she told me that she didnt know the name of the previous receptionist for me to provide feedback. Hard to believe since it was the lady who just handed her the call. Anyhow, when we started this charade there were minimal cars in the lot, but the time.we were done, roughly 6-10 people had and parked or walked in so now our wait went from 15 minutes to one hour due to their incompetence. I am disgusted at the manners of the office workers, most appalling was how they teased that young man as if someones lack of finances is so hilarious.
This is the worst urgent care in this state , I had a prescription from this place when I went to the Rite aid pharmacy they told me is out of stock and I have to contact the doctor from med express .. I contacted this facility requesting to change my prescription they informed me that is nothing they cant do about it I will have to be seen again in order to replace the medicine and paid for a new visit for a mistake that this croquet facility did.I dont recommend no one visit this scamers place call: MED EXPRESS
I have raving reviews for Dr Gouru and Nurse Michelle. On 11/12/22 my husband woke up with a strong headache, when we got to MedExpress and after an assessment from Dr Gouru she referred us to the emergency room. I dont want to share all the details, but Dr Gouru and Nurse Michelle saved my husbands life. Now that I check everything that happened that day, if it were not by their attention and expedited referral to the emergency room, maybe I would not have my husband today.I cannot emphasize enough the good that MedExpress does, how their staff save lives every day. Thank you so very much for everything you do and touching lives every single day.
The staff was wonderful! Made sure that I was comfortable with the wait time and the staff in the back was even better! I was helped and serviced by Taylynn and Zaira in the front, Amber in the back and seen by Michael Richards. I highly recommend this center. It smelled so good and they made sure they cleaned as well. Super friendly. Thank you staff!
I have been in the waiting room for almost 2 hours. Absolutely know one gives you an update and dont think about asking the receptionist who is busy on her cell phone. They are concentrating on Covid testing and not one word about how the process works. They didnt skip the part about taking my money. The waiting room is freezing! Horrible customer service. If I didnt invest the time and feel so bad I would walk out.I have 30 yrs in the medical field and would be happy to provide them with some dos and donts!Absolutely unacceptable!
I recently visited this particular MedExpress on 10/22/2020 at approximately 12pm noon. I went for a COVID-19 test, hoping to utilize their drive-thru testing program. The rep on the phone was short and she stated there was a 2hr wait time to be tested. Given the test was for job compliance, I abided by their 2hr wait time. After looking up my account, the MedExpress rep was very rude and quick to say they would not reserve a spot. Their billing department supposedly had a lull in paperwork and coordination with my insurance company and said there was a nominal amount to be paid on the account before I could receive a COVID-19 test. Therefore, I could not take an urgent COVID-19 test due to their missteps and inability to problem solve. Overall, rude customer service rep, bad business practice and unsafe medical practice during these unsafe and uncertain times. I have been to this location a number of times and have never received any positive service from the staff. This will mark my last visit.
The women at the front desk(reception) speak to people in a very unprofessional tone of voice and make the experience worse. Getting a medical procedure can be a little nerve-racking as it is; being talked to like your garbage just makes it worse. If its possible, Id recommend choosing another MedExpress to go to.
I was seen quickly as I was having shock from Wasp Stings. All were concerned. The Doctor who saw me was exceptionally understanding to me and my 96 yr old husband. I was quickly medicated and explained where I would react to the Med. it could be treated and the shock needed to stop. He further stated I was being sent to the ER for observation since I went to AF. Every one encountered were greatly concerned and helpful
I had to go in to get a rapid antigen test to return to work this morning and after arriving 10 minutes early the sign on the door says you have to call to be let in. They put me on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up the phone. I called back the machine told me that theyre operators are busy and I would be disconnected. I called back multiple more times and got the phone to ring again and it just rang until it hang up. As Im sitting out here with all these other customers who need medical care, I have not seen one person go in the building in the half hour theyve been open
Super rude staff. Horribly long wait. No guidance provided on how long. Tried to ask and she said “it’s an urgent care - you wanna wait or not? I can’t say how long. It’s a wait.” The place is dirty and run down. Took 20 minutes just for the woman to figure out how to check us in.
Dont waste your time going here. I waited 1.5 hours in my car, and .50 inside the waiting room. 2 hours. I had to walk out without being seen. Suggestion, hang a sign on the door saying how long the wait is. change it every hour. Staff said only 1 doc on duty. why would u tell me an hour wait with one doc on. tell me three so at least I can call around for another place. its time to stop waiting in the car. let people in and use every other seat, wear a mask. Lady showed them her dog bite that was bleeding through her wrap, front counter said doc had already done enough stitches today n wont take her. unbelievable. This place needs to close down
Waited for over an hour. Front desk staff was not once on their computers just chatting amongst themselves. At one point someone can in to chat with a worker for 20 minutes about nothing pertaining to a visit while patients needing to check in were ignored. After I finally got in I began to list my symptoms and I was cut off and couldn’t even finish, at this point it was clear no one here cared. Wish I could give it 0 stars. Completely unprofessional.(p.s. I have been misdiagnosed here b4 and gotten incredibly sick as a result)DO NOT GO HEREThere are much better options.
The receptionist was extremely rude. It was my first time there and I didnt know I had to call in from my car. She acted as if I should have known and then was rude when I asked her the wait time. I actually was so taken back by her rudeness and hostile attitude that I left and sought care at a different facility. Do not recommend!
I called today to obtain information on COVID testing, a woman answered - did not advise of her name, was very curt in her speech advising she wouldnt speak with me unless I was in their parking lot, I asked what the wait time is, again she would not advise unless I was in their parking lot. Living only a minute away, I went to the parking lot. Same woman on the phone said its not a free service..., I must provide proof of insurance, which I stated I have. She stated then, it would be a three hour wait. She did not offer to verify my insurance or even ask for the insurance carrier to confirm they would cover the test, Id have to wait my turn (@3 hours per her earlier comment) to cinform any details. Very rude, uncaring, unprofessional.
Other than being on hold while waiting because extra busy because you have to wait in car.....they were so nice and helpful. I was able to get what I felt I needed. People need to realize they are busy all the time and the rules are making it challenging for them too. I would say just to let us know the phone wait time can be long. ...knowing the process.
I was kind of leary about coming here after reading the reviews and seeing the ratings (and I am usually very fond of believing and following reviews/ratings). I guess sometimes (especially when in pain) you have to get your own opinion and Im glad I did this time. The clinic was clean, the front office and triage staff were friendly and Dr. G. Adams was very nice and had a good bedside manner. I was in and out in about 30 mins or less with ppl ahead of me.So because of this update this MedExpress on Kirkwood Hwy went down to 1 star which if I could give 0 I would. My daughter got scratched at work (at an animal hospital by a dog) so after a few days we think the scratch became infected. She was sent to the MedExpress and of course when she got there they said they had to COVID test her (of course) which isnt a problem except they refused to treat her possibly infected scratch so she was left still in pain and with no recourse plus (and let me clarify the day was the Monday before Thanksgiving (which I know was an extremely busy COVID testing time and possibly a backlog) to this date we have not received her results and heres the worst part because she was tested she was not allowed back to work until a negative result was given to her job. Besides the fact that she has already technically done her own self quarantine she also missed work w/o pay (and who can afford that at this time oh and lets not talk about how her stress level is up since her check during rent week was short) the job was pressuring her for the results needing its staff, they basically called her a liar because she should have long had her results back even in a backlog and whenever my daughter called MedExpress she was told the lab was backed up and she would be notified when her results were in and calling everyday was not really going to help....UH STILL WAITING IGNORANT STAFF MEMBER AT MEDEXPRESS. Very bad business! I guess the last time I was here I got lucky and the bad reviews I read had some merit.
I visited MedExpress on Kirkwood highway twice within the past few months, most recently last week. Both times, I was very impressed with the level of professionalism, patience, and friendliness exhibited by the staff. Although I was on the phone on hold, and in the parking lot, for longer than I would have liked due to the impacts from the current COVID crisis, I was met with the utmost care and concern by every staff member who took my calls and provided services. I continue to be amazed by the dedication and care shown by our front line workers, especially with the increased demands on their time and personal well-being. Thank you to Dr Gouru and all of the staff at Kirkwood MedExpress!
After reading previous reviews I was skeptical about going here. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Everyone that I interacted with was extremely professional and friendly. Med express has genuinely taken measures to improve patient experience. My LP Mallory was exemplary! And even gave me a list of physicians that were taking new patients since I told her I was having a hard time finding one!
Brought my 2 year old in for X-rays after she hurt her foot/ankle. Did I wait forever, yes. But they all were working hard and fast. When it was our turn and I let them know I needed to pick up my son soon from school and they worked quickly and were amazing with my daughter. I highly recommend them!
Been here many times over the past few years. Yesterday being some where around my 12th time to this location. Its easier for me and my busy schedule to go to this location then my primary doctor. Also they have more equipment, more knowledgeable Doctors, and I can fill my prescribed medications even before I leave.Bonus: Prescriptions and definitely the visit co-pay is cheaper under my insurance then my doctor visit or prescriptions at a pharmacy.Highly Recommend MedExpress for non-life threatening situations and ease of use!
Had to go there today I fell and busted knee cap open. They told me it wasnt serve enough for then to treat me they flat out turn me away. And they have medical insurance information and still refuse to see me. Like why in hell are they even there for. Am hurting have bad infection in my right leg cut is bright red and leg is completely swollen yet its not bad enough to be treated. State need to pull their license and shut it down
Get new front desks employees, 4xs ive been here, each time it was worse than the time before. Lady yelling at people who walk in, instead of being polite and telling them to go back to their cars. NOPE, you cant walk in here, go outside and call the office. Mind you you cant get through to anyone and when you do, they are just as rude, hang up or put you on hold and then 45mins later, told you are not going to be seen and hung up on. So thank you for wasting 2 hours of my life with your rude employees will find a new urgent care
I went to this med express to be seen for pain in my chest. I was greeted by the nurse who immediately asked me if I was injured at work which i wasn’t sure of the answer to. I had been feeling the pain since the day before at work but since I wasn’t sure I tried to tough it out but I was up throughout the night so I decided to seek treatment. She told me that I had to go through Workmen’s Comp. if it happened at work even though I told her I wasn’t really sure and she just kept repeating the question instead of explaining anything. They took my insurance and I paid a copay before being seen, and when I was taken back, The provider basically told me that I had to fill out a workman’s comp form or my insurance wouldn’t accept my claim and will make me pay in full. I told her that I hadn’t even been seen and she told me that I have already been billed anyway and they can change the claim to workman’s comp but they can’t take my claim out from insurance. They pressured and bullied me into letting the provider press on my ribs so they could consider it “examinating” me and she seriously said “wow you got me all flustered” and tell me to take Advil. Then the provider said that she couldn’t even give me discharge papers because their computers were acting “crazy”. Unbelievably unprofessional and rude and wasted my time
They saved my life 7/17/2022. I walked in with Anaphylaxis from a bee sting and scared the receptionist but the team jumped into action and gave me the life saving injections before sending to St. Francis Hospital via ambulance. No medical center is perfect and being on-call 24/7 is a tough way to do business. When they were needed they rose to action - my deepest heart-felt thank you to the team there.
The sign out front says to stay in your car and call to check in unless it’s an emergency, then come in. I had cut my leg with a large piece of glass and was bleeding so my husband and I went in. While I was holding pressure to try to stop the bleeding, my husband tries to check me in but the woman at the desk was super nasty. She was asking if he had covid symptoms and he said that he and I had tested negative this week. She rudely interrupted that since we just walked in instead of calling, she had to ask him all these questions (even though he just said we tested negative a few days ago). She then tells us that it’s an hour an a half wait because others were there before me. Looking around, I was the only one with blood gushing from my leg. They clearly have an inability to triage. So we drove to the Christiana Care urgent care center across from the hospital, and I was in a room within 10 minutes. I was able to get stitches and be home in less time than I would have sat in my car in the medexpress parking lot, bleeding, likely ending up in hemorrhagic shock and at the hospital anyway. Will never go back.
I was running a 101 fever and asked to sign for my prescription. I saw the prescription and asked for a different one. The receptionist charged my card. When the nurse brought me my medicine, it was the same medicine that I had already rejected. I rejected it again. The woman behind the counter gave me a new prescription that could not be filled there and then refused to give me a refund for the the original prescription. She stood there yelling at me about it when I told her that I would be filing a complaint for charging me for medicine that I was not given. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. Another employee finally came over and told her that she could give me a refund that because I hadnt accepted it, the prescription hadnt been filled. I will never go there again.
Worst experience possible. Nurse was a complete jerk, refused to listen, and insisted on testing for things I knew I didn’t have. (Naturally the tests came back negative.) Not even slightly sympathetic. Then they sent my prescriptions to a closed pharmacy, and refused to resend them to an open pharmacy. So I’m sitting here in pain, without any prescriptions, and hoping my eardrums don’t burst before I manage to get it handled elsewhere.
Went in for my daughter and the nurses were so helpful. There was a small issue at first but Andrea Venturena and Shari Johnson were extremely helpful with pushing us through and getting us seen quickly. Great job!!
Don’t waste your time. MedEx only has a Virtual waiting room, reception was lazy, rude and acted like I was an inconvenience. Called from car and Quoted a 1.5 hour wait to have 4 stitches removed with no idea of cost to me. Drove 5 mins to Christiana Care Urgent care and done in 15 mins. Clean, nice and professional.
Why would you allow people to walk in ahead of others that called in from the car outside in the parking lot???? The process makes NO since. Pick one procedure since your incapable of adequate patient accountability & flow. This is bad patient care. Period!!! Every patient should be treated the same assuming everyone has covid.
My concern with is place is the following... if I tell you I took an at home rapid test and tested positive why would you give me another rapid test? Why not suggest the lab test to make sure?I took a quick vue at home rapid test and I tested positive for covid. Because I needed proper documentation for work. I paid 189.99 (out of network) fee to get another rapid test done. This one came back negative. When the doctor comes in to discuss my results, I was inform the rapid test are only 80% effective and it was recommended that I get a lab test done (which would be an additional134.00). In the interest of public health why would you allow me to take a second rapid test if you would recommend a lab test to someone who already tested positive. Is it for the money? Why wasnt the lab test offered first? Or why wasnt it explained the accuracy of taking a second rapid test versus a lab test. In my opinion this is the reason why covid is spreading..inaccurate information.
Horrible Experience! Worst customer service ever! We checked in to get registered. Was told to wait in our car until we get called. 2 hours later we go inside the office asked why it was taking so long! The lady in the front desk let us know that she didn’t even register us! When we did 2 hours ago when we paid the co-payment! This was the worst experience and knowing someone is feeling at its worst!
Will never go back to Med Express again . Had taken my son and girlfriend to there after being in a car accident that all cars were totaled in , not just a fender bender . The rude receptionist said that they needed a claim number from the insurance co and their drivers license . She said they couldnt be seen unless they had that . She also , said if they didnt have the info by closing at 8 pm she wouldnt see them at all . I guess she missed the part where they were in a bad accident and had to be seen and didnt have time to call the insurance co . So we had to call the insurance co . She defiantly needs a new career since she was so uncompassionate . She didnt even ask if they were ok . My son complained of chest and rib pain and they didnt even take an x ray until I insisted they did . The rude nurse or staff member replied and told the staff member , oh you better just take the x ray for him so his mom can sleep tonight and had repeated to me several times over we will do it so you mom can sleep tonight . She was doing it in a sarcastic way and uncompassionate about it . Dr was rude too. They didnt even put anything on the burns they had from the airbags . It was a total waste of a visit and all of the staff need a new job where they dont deal with society and especially should not work with people or are sick and injured . I would not recommend his place at all . Even the next day I called about a question about the X-ray and they guy was rude . I still cant believe we asked for a claim number for an accident that had just happened before they would exam my son and his girlfriend . That sad that insurance is before injury . FYI I gave only one star because I had too , it should be no - stars for rating . Beware and dont go there . They should be investigated .
The woman at the counter was rude and dirty. I called the number on the door three times and nobody answered. I walked in and she got an attitude and said I have to call and that someone would answer this time. I called and she immediately put me on hold. Twenty minutes later I walked back in. She tried to say the same thing I said no, u put me on hold for twenty minutes (as I’m still on hold). She then started to check me in. While she was talking to me she was biting her fingernails and spitting them out. Then suddenly the computer system went down, what a coincidence. I think she just wanted to go home, but they were open for a whole hour, maybe if she didn’t have me on hold and screw me around for 30 minutes I could have been in and out.
Very friendly and professional. They get the job done. I have no complaints. They took care of me in a timely manner. They made me feel comfortable and ensured me Ill be fine. First time there. Keep up the great work. Thank you all.
Absolutely horrible, uncaring staff. Do not recommend - Most walk in clinics have kind, helpful staff and you wont have to experience the ignorance. I left and went to another one and the difference was night and day.
I payed $112 and waited 4 and a half hrs to get my DOT psysical just for them to tell me Im disqualified. They charged me my money and time and waited until I was done the psysical as opposed to letting me know I would not be able to get my documents. They didnt even refund me my money back
Blatant discrimination toward pre-existing conditions.Let me start by saying, I have been type 1 diabetic for over 14 years, however in that time I have been involved in exercise. I consider myself an athlete, and have competed in many events, and follow a very strict diet and exercise regime, training 5-6 days per week.I went into MedExpress because I was having issues with reflux and chest discomfort for the past 3 days. My guess as to the cause was damage to the diaphragm or a slight hernia caused by my intense training program, nevertheless I chose to go in because seeing my primary doctor would have taken at least a week. I wish i had chosen to wait.Upon entering the floor staff was professional and the environment clean, they took my information and my history as well. However, the NP that saw me was extremely rude and insensitive from the start. She started by blaming my symptoms on a nerve damage related issue, and even went as far to say like the numbness you feel in your feet Right from the start she labeled me, without even hearing me. After explaining that I was an athlete, my training, and how well I take care of myself, she went as far to say that it didnt matter how well i took care of myself due to me having diabetes.... The only reason i did not walk out immediately was I wanted to get an xray to rule out a hernia. She then insisted I get an EKG, which i understand is standard procedure, however she stated that because of my diabetes, i could have had heart attacks and never felt them... I explained to her that the day prior I had just run over 10 miles in the heat, that every one of my workouts is a stress test. Again she did not hear me, and continued with her biased and discriminatory behavior by stating athletes drop dead all the time, and I could be in end stage organ failure and may not know it...During the EKG I told the tech that the symptoms had come about after I had a large salad post training... The NP then stated you could do with more salads... Keep in mind Im about 9% BF Ive never had anyone speak to me this way, and show such prejudice toward my pre-existing condition to this extent. Not only was it hurtful but extremely unprofessional, any other profession would not get away with speaking to a patient/client in this manner. There was absolutely no reason to speak to me this way, and also look past the obvious fact that i was not some sickly person that does not take care of himself. I would not recommend going here, unless you absolutely have to. Needless to say the reason i was having the reflux had nothing to do with being diabetic...Let me end this by saying, if you have diabetes and a health professional tells you that exercise will not help you, then you need to go see someone else. The fact is exercise of all kinds is invaluable to your health and wellbeing long term, dont let anyone tell you otherwise.
Came in for Urine Drug Screen. Everyone was professional and test was performed in a timely manner. However the female front office staff were not wearing their masks properly. One had hers under her chin and the other had hers under her nose There were 3 people in the small registration room .I am an RN who does Covid testing so I am very cognizant of all precautions
I have been to this location three times for a drug screening and each time the front service was very rude and no customer service friendly. I have yet to be seen by a dot examiner to have my drug screening done for my new job that has so patiently waited for the drug screen to come in. NEVER AGAIN THEY NEED TO GET RID OF THE FRONT DESK LADY AND HAVE SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY WANT TO HELP PEOPLE WORKING THAT POSITION. RIDICULOUS!!!!!
I wish there was an option for no stars, because thats what this place deserves. I was treated terribly and the PA did not even listen to any of my concerns or issues, obviously they did not care one bit. Also gave me incorrect health and wellness information, essentially lied, and did not give me a chance to voice my concerns. I will be filing a formal complaint as well.
Extremely RUDE! I called from the parking lot as per the directions on the door. This was around 2 pmHelloHi, Id like to register for a covid test.NoUh are you not taking patients?NoDo you know when you will be?I DONT KNOW - clickBased on that rudeness I wouldnt go here if my life depended on it!
I typically come here anytime Im not able to get my daughter into her pediatrician. I took my daughter today and they refused to see her because of an outstanding bill that we were unaware of because they had put the wrong address on file. So I clarified with the receptionist that because they did their job wrong and mailed the bill to the wrong address and I dont have the money to just lay out without notice that my child cant be see.. she looked at me said yes handed me the bill and told me if I had question I can call the number on the bill. I said okay left and went to Christiana urgent care, where the staff was so friendly and we were in and out in 15 mins. ! Dont waste you time go to Christiana urgent care in Glasgow! And thank me later :)
I called on the phone to ask if they did general physicals and they replied that they were thirty dollars. When I arrived, the receptionist spent ten minutes gossiping on the phone before I checked in. When I finally got back to see someone they rushed me through the steps and insisted that I needed the more expensive physical instead of the one I requested. They refused to listen to me and entered it in their system as the more expensive detailed one that I did not need. When I checked out, they forced me to pay 80 dollars instead of the original 30 that they had told me. The staff said that if I did not pay the addition 50 now I would be billed a greater amount. The company completely misrepresented the cost of their services and refused to reason.
The wait for the doctor or nurse practiner is way too long. Waited 30 minutes for a 5 minutes consultation. Mind you only 2 other people before us. Most ridiculous thing I ever seen. Probably why they make you pay first so you cant leave. Will find another place to go to
Went here for pre-job drug testing. Arrived on Sunday during business hours, was told to call to register. Did so for over an hour and no one picked up. It was getting close to close so I went home to return before opening on Monday. On Monday, arrived early to be told they are ONLY doing covid testing? Went to another location only to be told I was blatantly lied to.
Cynthia at the front desk is absolutely wonderful. She is so nice has a caring personality. I came in today in a lot of pain and just her soft voice and caring personality made me feel alittle more comfortable . Thank you Cynthia !!!!
Slow, reception staff was rude and unhelpful. Went to another local urgent care, in and out with in 20 minutes and was treated and respected. I would avoid Med Express at all costs.
The receptionist was having a side conversation while taking my information on the phone, I was also, “put on hold”, but could hear the receptionist sharing information with another patient. BUT, the worst part is she BURPED while on the phone with me.The physician was helpful with prescription information.
Went there tonight to have my daughter get a treatment for her asthma because we can’t find her machine. Paid a co pay of $75.00 to see No Dr. instead it was a girl who looked 19 and had no clue what she was doing. I explained that my daughter needs a asthma treatment. She said it’s bronchitis. My daughter has been suffering from Asthmas since she was a baby. I think I would know if she is having an asthma attack. She sent in a prescription for steroids and medicine for her nebulizer but I told her so many times we don’t have a machine. I would like for you guys to give her a treatment I told her. She said no. So now I have a daughter who is having asthma’s issues with medication that she can’t take because she does not have the machine. They have great listening skills! I will not be going back to this urgent care.
Ms. Cynthia had patience, was very informative, with a professional demeanor when she helped me. I didnt feel rushed or disrespected (as the light skinned lady with glasses and short gray hair did at the location in New Castle did with sarcasm and a demeaning tone of voice). Thank you Ms.Cynthia for providing great customer service and help. Thanks again!
Split my chin open (details not necessary) and went here. Was seen by Autherine. Wish I could remember the other nurses name, but it isnt anywhere on my bill. Just want to say the entire staff was very personable and I was able to get patched up without stitches provided that I follow the nursess instructions. I was there just a little over an hour. Would absolutely go here again for care if needed.
Will definitely be my last time visiting this Location Nurse Practitioner Alicia Vogleson is very unprofessional! Definitely doesn’t need to work in this kind of practice. Making unnecessary comments throughout my whole visit and had the nerve to ask me Am I Okay? Definitely not ma’am.
The person answering the phone needs retraining. I called to see how long a Covid test would take as a walk in. The first thing she said when she answered the phone was Yes?....... then an awkward pause. Then sorry for the wait, Alicia. I was like HUH? This is MedExpress right? I thought I accidentally called someones cell or something. Anyway she could barely answer my question. Apparently it takes 2 hours for a walk in appt. Awkward vibe from the phone call so I just made the appt at the clinic across the street instead.
Went in close to closing time with pain in both legs after a fall down stairs. I am 60. Years old. The NP Was nice and told me to stay off my legs and no work for two days. I asked for X-rays. After some pushback she decided to appease me. So she came into the room all smiles to tell us that no break was seen and to go home and rest. 36 hours later DrAdams called with an amended result that I had indeed broken a bone. Well naturally it’s the weekend so I have to continue in this pain until Monday. He was kind enough to find an opening with an ortho. I am so annoyed that clock watching took precedence over ”do no harm”. I’ll be curious to see if there was interim harm done in the meanwhile. Right next I’m frustrated and disappointed. Ty Dr Adams for double checking patients
Was pleased with the service and time waited to see the PA. Facility was clean and people were pleasant. If necessary, we will use Med Express again.
I went to Med Express because I did not feel well. After my almost hour wait, I saw the doctor for 30 seconds who said “oh you have the flu”. No testing, nothing. Prescribed me Tamiflu. I went home, didn’t take the tamiflu and felt better the next day. Obviously I didn’t have the flu and it seemed like the Doctor didn’t care enough to even listen to me. Probably because they closed in 10 mins and wanted to get me out of there so they could go home.
This MedExpress is the worst. I called at 5pm and got on the schedule. Waited in the parking lot for 3 hours waiting for my turn because you can’t leave. Then they tell me they ran out of tests. When I ask if they we’re getting more tomorrow the lady got ignorant with me.
I am a military spouse so I dont have a freaking medical card. I have always given my social and they looked me up through the tricare system and found me easily. They literally said there was nothing they could do. I called the Newark location and she was happy to help. No class. No sense for the patient. Glad Im not dying.
Great service friendly kind and puts you at ease with your situation thanks for all they do
If i could give no star i would...a waste of my time the nurse Vissy-Sterling, Autherine, NP was not people friendly at all and very unprofessional. She was asking to explain the reason i feel like i feel sick, like i want to there, she didn’t offer a work note, she told me my diagnosis but told me i didn’t have what she diagnosed me but still said i had it! Like what! I would of got smart but i already didn’t feel good like b$&@h!!!! I’ll smack you! They need new or better trained nurses.
I came into Med express on a Saturday night around 7:00 Pm and was seen within 15 minutes. Everyone was very nice. The Dr. Explained everything very well.
Had to be seen for an arm injury and these guys were simply amazing! Safety and well being came first and the service they provide is top notch. From the front desk, to triage, radiology, and the Dr.... EVERYONE was professional and kind.
Worst place with unprofessional and unpleasant staff. You are better by walking into an emergency room. They will make you wait hours on the phone before you get some one on line on phone. If you do a mistake of walking in then be prepared to wait in the parking lot for at least 2-3 hours. You will lose your spot if you decide to leave and come back. Horrible place
I actually had a little fun. Dr. Felicia navidad. Was great. I know thats not her right name. But we were singing it. Dr. Felicitias. I think. Thanks for the Christmas spirit during a rough patch with my darned sinuses. I appreciate it.
I think I broke my fingers so I came for an X-ray. I’ve been here for over an hour. Still not seen by a doctor. Was thrown into a room to wait for another hour and I will now be late for work. Would be faster to just go to the emergency room because I STILL do not have an X-ray done. Hopefully I get out of here before my work shift is over.
Went there today for a burn. They refused to treat me because they said that I owed a bill from 2013. I have 100% insurance, so I dont understand that. I have also been there since 2013 and no one said anything then. By the way, I was misdiagnosed that time. I will NEVER go there again.
The staff was super friendly and personable.
Literally everyone at the desk had an attitude. And you could tell they did not want to be there. Rushed through everything even getting answers for you. Lady wouldn’t even let you past the door before she was yelling.
Alicia Vogelson, the NP, who treated me, was horrible, rude, sarcastic. She didnt bother telling me, at 7:50 pm, that pharmacies are closed around there at 8 pm, when I said Id rather have an oral steroid. If I had known that, I wouldve said Ill take a shot of steroid here. She didnt offer that choice at all when the medical assistant said all pharnacies are closed around here, youd have to go to Bear, which is far away from this MedExpress. Now Im stuck with nothing! Im afraid to go thru the night now thinking something might happen. Why wasnt a doctor there that I could see instead of a Nurse Practitioner??
My spouse arrived there at 11:30am today, finally got vitals checked at 3:38pm and arrived home at 5:45pm. Your facility should be embarrassed. Literally shameful !! 😠
My first time at MedExpress and definitely my last time. I was treated so badly here. I over heard the doctors GOSSIPING about me. Yes Im young but my pain had nothing to do with my age or color. My right leg is dealing with pain. Dr.Teresa Long I came to MedExpress for help not for you to make me feel worse and joke about my pain. I waisted my time & $75.00 Copay at this place. I should have just went to Christiana Hospital for help. Ive never seen a GOSSIPING DOCTOR who talks about there patients to other employees. Word of advise DR.TERESA not every AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN is on drugs or crimes and thats how you treated me. I work everyday very hard. And no im not on medicade DR.TERESA I spend $107.00 on cigna insurance plus Copay when I see a doctor witch happen to be $75.00 today at MEDEXPRESS. Im very upset how you treated me today. I didnt appreciate your aggressiveness, gossiping & rudeness. You are a DOCTOR your suppose to help patients not laugh and joke to other staff & patients about them. Dr.Teresa you tried to embarrass me infront of your staff and other patients today. You need to be reported
Was misdiagnosed twice for strep throat. Waited to take a culture on the second visit because they were positive it was strep even though the initial test came back negative. im currently on my second round of antibiotics. Just called with my culture results..not even a bacterial infection which means the antibiotics that ive paid for two times now have been doing nothing. must be some sort of virus they told me over the phone. said i just have to let it runs its course. been having symptoms for almost a month. guess ill just die. goodbye world. Taking this L to the grave ....staff was nice though so two stars for you!
Very quick to see doctor, Great service
Very very bad customer service! Receptionist not welcome you , rude answers is like I going to ask them for money !! Really if you are not happy with you work quit and stay home don’t make others people’s life miserable !! I came in for an X-ray and came out angry with not X-rays !!Go outside and call the phone number at the door to sign in !! Really ?Not walk ins welcome !!Going to somewhere else
I know medical facilities are short staffed but to have you out in the parking lot for 3 hours only to watch other people that got there after you go in and get tested. Not fair at all!!! Were all Sick!
Went there in bad shape and because my ID was expired by a few months they would not see me. But other then that its a pretty good place. Just dont go there if you have and expired ID or License.
One of the rudest front desk receptionists. Why is she even employed there? Her tone, demeanor and overall body language was just off. I will never return to this location again.
Waited three hours and still waiting a week for lab results… to be continue I call for results andddd come find out they never sent my lab results so I sat dere three hrs in waiting room for them to tell me three weeks later oh we never even sent it back .. thennnnn I ask for meds to be set doc tells me he sending it right over 8am and I come to pick up meds 1 pm and it was never there RIDICULOUS and I called my insurance to make SURE they did not charge my insurance for doin absolutely nothing
My second time here today 6/2/2021 and once again the receptionist are rude and none caring. I get a covid test and the nurse very rudely shoveled it up my nose. I ask could she be more gently and she laughed at me. I dont know about this place anymore 😕..
I waited on the phone for 50 ministers before speaking to someone. After they called me in. The black women at the front desk kept me waiting whith 2 kids for another hour and accepted the patients that came after i did. They were there for the same reason I did as i overheard.
Yes the wait is long but we are going through a pandemic. Staff was very nice. Office was clean and I felt safe coming here. My wait wasn’t terribly long in the parking lot or waiting room. Very good experience despite bad reviews. I would recommend coming here and I will come here again
The receptionists were very short on the phone and even more rude in person. Customer service was just non-existent. The Acme across the street has a better walk-in clinic, go there.
I had a very positive experience here! Amber A. The X-ray tech was extremely caring in a professional matter and made me comfortable. Thank you for your services!
Had an amazing experience when I had an emergency on Memorial Day. Very efficient process from the time I checked in to the time I left. I recommend this to my patients if they are ever in need of urgent care.
Can’t go back to med express because they refuse to fix a claim for a flu shot. My insurance says it’s them and they say it’s me. I’ve done all the hopping I’m doing. Hate it there!!!
I was there Monday. The staff was very welcoming. Thanks Ms Cynthia for getting me signed in. Warm and friendly.
They took good care of me in a good time.
Had a covid test here, worst service ever. asked me to call back, when I called back for results, they asked me too find the results online, i went online, now it will take 3 days to identify my id. I dont think they understand risk here, just provide the results asap. 😡
Staff was very nice. They called the next day with lab results. Long wait but so is doctors office when I have an appointment.
Waited in line to get checked in. Was told to take a set and they would get to me shortly. Two other people walked in after me and they were seen. When the lady noticed that I had been sitting there, she said nothing.
30 minute on phone waiting for someone to answer. Prescription was never sent to my pharmacy the day I was seen. Called in the next day to let them know and had to be on hold for 30 min for someone to answer me.
7 August 2014:Went today at 9am. No wait. Staff very friendly, competent, and thoughtful. Yeah, I got diagnosed with mono, but otherwise everything I experienced there was just fine.
