I had by far the best experience I could have imagined! I was skeptical at first from reading the reviews but those HAD TO BE from protesters! Everyone in the building is by far the nicest people and make you feel so comfortable and like at home! I had a traumatic experience with the medical so I went surgical this go around and it was AMAZING HERE! They make sure they answer all questions they do NOT rush you or make you feel horrible for your decision! I definitely highly recommend here especially those having to travel, the ONLY downfall here is the protesters but the security guard gets you in the waiting room promptly! If i could give this place 10000 stars I would coming from someone with HIGH anxiety they made me feel at home and lowed it tremendously! Thank you to EVERYONE here for making my experience amazing, yall are truly blessings!!!
Best clinic ive ever been to. The staff was so kind and compassionate. They treated me so well. They give you a free plan b and they also offer birth control. I suggest getting the surgical instead of the pill, from my experience.
Top tier care and customer service. they offer so many services from std testing to birth control and everything in between. every person I came in contact with was caring. center is clean and welcoming
I highly recommend this clinic! They are super helpful and super compassionate. They make sure you are heard and make sure to take care of everything need. It is also very clean and there’s some amazing artwork in the waiting room.
I visited the Feminist Womens Health Center (henceforth: FWHC) for gender-affirming care specifically t therapy consultation with Hannah. The FWHC staff was friendly upon arrival. The lab technician, Tan, had such a bubbly and gregarious energy. The location was discreet yet easy to find with plenty of parking. Hannah, NPC was amazing! I had a negative experience prior, however, Hannah was informative, kind, and patient with telling me the t therapy process, possible concerns, possible benefits, health/wellness in general, and the next steps for t. I left with a prescription being called into my pharmacy and the labwork was completed. Although they do not currently take my insurance, they were upfront with the pricing (consultation $75, labwork $70) which made it easy to plan and prepare for. They also have coupons for your prescriptions. Lastly, they provided a chart with other services they offer which I shared with friends immediately as this was helpful info. I cannot wait to begin my t therapy with FWHC and also my healthcare maintenance in general. Ill see them in my next follow-up. If you are interested in quality gender-affirming healthcare at affordable prices, I hope to see you at the Feminist Womens Health Center as well.
People here were super nice. I don’t know why it only has 3.8 stars. And they really helped us with abortion and financing. They deserve a 5.0. Will definitely come here again.
I thank places like this for being so helpful and encouraging in a time where the laws directly and negatively impact my well being as a woman. I was looking for an abortion and got tricked into going to one of those anti abortion places and they almost made me miss my window. Glad I came here in time and they were able to get me an appointment as soon as possible. They were so nice and I’m glad we have places like this that try their very best to protect our rights as women
Very nice staff. Made me feel very comfortable. They had me in & out in no time. Thank you so much!
Very nice employees Quick process if the computer system was fixed it kept freezing. But definitely recommend this place Overall it was a good and comfortable process.
This was a first time experience and they definitely did an amazing job. Through pulling in the security was on point, the nurses and doctors were so sweet despite the holidays and weather and they made this a calming experience for me. They talked me through everything and all of the ladies were wonderful including the ones who helped out with the procedure. Thank you Ms. Gloria! I will never forget the encouraging words! Don’t let the reviews scare you the people here do nothing but their best. They do warn you about the protesters and they also keep you up to day before any appointments. They provide several services! Not just ABS!
My experience was truly outstanding!!! The amount of love and care and knowledge I experienced really touched me. The people here are warm and you can tell they care about you and your wellness. I cannot recommend them highly enough!! Thank you, everyone at the clinic, for being who you are and doing the work you do.
One of the best medical experiences of my life, the staff were all in a good mood and super friendly and made the whole procedure less stressful by talking me through. These people care about you and theyll take the time to make sure you have what you need, theyll even ask for your pronouns. The paperwork is super easy and I was out in 3 hours. I highly recommend this facility
This was my 2nd abortion in over 10 years and I was so nervous. The staff was so nice and process was super quick. Its not over crowded and overall had a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend this clinic.
The staff is great, they just do not have a good system when administering the pill. It could be easier to administer the first one simultaneously and not one by one. Patients are already there long enough.
Don’t expect Insurance will force you to pay $200 to get tested. That is actually sad and disgusting.
A sigh of relief. I did research on 4 clinics in ATL being I was traveling out of state. I chose to come here because they were compassionate and patience. They even provided a follow up prior. The wait time can be a process, but was fairly quick. I arrived at 7:45 and was done by 12:45. Everybody from intake, vital, ultrasound, counselors, the nurses, doctor’s assistance and the doctor were phenomenal. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. I appreciated the doctor talking to me during the process to distract me being I opted for the local procedure ( no anesthesia). Thank you again
My experience here was great! The reason i gave it 4/5 stars is because of the protesters (the office does warn you about them on their website & when they confirm your appointment the day before) .. they are outside the facility & made me uncomfortable walking in to my appointment. There is security fyi. The process felt long as you cant have your phone. My appointment was 7:30 am left out of recovery room around 12:50pm. So wait time was not bad just felt like forever with no phone. Everyone was nice & informative. Doctors and nurses were great. I definitely recommend!
Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews, but my experience was great from start to finish. It hurts ,but I made the best decision for myself. Everyone and I mean everyone at this facility were beyond kind and caring security included. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. If I had to complain about anything the wait is very long and it became uncomfortable, but I was informed of that prior to my visit. I couldn’t have picked a better place for my procedure. Thank you!
I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life after finding out my baby had a NTD. This place literally made my entire process extremely easy. I cant stress enough how kind and understanding every single staff member was here. I couldnt of asked for a better place to have to deal with one of the hardest moments of my life.
What a 2 hour (3 hour max) procedure should take is really a 8+ hour wait! This seems to be very unprofessional and not well thought out…. Majority of women that come in this clinic are pregnant, you think it’s smart to have a pregnant lady sitting in an uncomfortable room, in a hard chair all day without food?? I thought they were joking when they said that all they had to offer was animal crackers….. staff is nice for the most part but I would tell people to go elsewhere, especially if you have plans to do something else that day.. having to get up 5-6 times getting call to the back just to get told to go back out to the waiting room is a bit annoying. I suggest not to over book appointments so that way people can get in and out!Protesters are definitely real and present outside, security does a great job of getting you away from that but that’s about it.
I honestly do not know what is up with all of these terrible reviews but I used this clinic for a routine check around September/October last year and EVERYONE was so very helpful with figuring out payment for myself because i don’t have insurance and don’t make much money. The doctor was very friendly and and made me feel welcome and comfortable. My paperwork did get lost but I was able to pick up all of my results within the hour of me calling about them. I actually plan on making an appointment soon and am very much looking forward to it. I think everyone is doing a great job and hopefully I will have another great experience. Keep up the good work!
Very Mindful and EducationalI called one week prior and scheduled an appt. They read me the script that is mandatory to be read 24hrs in advance. On the call, they warned me of protestors, a wait time, and more. We pulled in, and were told to park backwards and wait to be called. We were told to go inside, and have our “driver” sign paperwork, then driver was released. The staff inside was eager to answer questions and made me feel safe. Which is important. I would recommend this place to anyone.
My daughter had a high risk pregnancy with a baby who we very much wanted, however medical issues made us have to make the hardest decision a woman will ever have to make. The first day we got there right after lunch and no protesters thank God. My daughter and I both were nervous and devastated that we had to go through with this procedure. The lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful, we waited in the small waiting room and then they came and took us to do the ultra sound and heartbeat, we decided to see her one last time and hear her heartbeat one last time. The woman tech doing this asked again are you sure, we said this was our goodbye and yes. She cried with us. Next was for vitals, that nurse cried with us as well. The counselor was very nice, made sure we understood everything and showed so much sympathy for what we were going through. Everyone was very compassionate and comforting On the second day we had to deal with the protesters and I find it very upsetting and disturbing that these people can stand at the entrance and find it acceptable to just walk up almost in front of your car and tell you how you are going to hell. Everything went smooth with the procedure but again as leaving a man tried to walk up to the car and tried to guilt us and I almost got out of my car to blast into him but justed wanted to get my daughter out of there. So thank you to all the caring and compassionate staff.
Very impressed with this place. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The place is clean and the pricing was affordable. I love that they had movies playing in each waiting room. My ONLY issue is the check in situation. If they get a lot of people its a possibility that you will have to stand outside and wait. It just seems a bit unorganized. Make sure you dont even attempt to park at the top of the hill & make sure if youre supposed to have a driver, that they are present. Also your ID and insurance/medicade card. There was also a protester the first day who was a bit verbally aggressive but he was removed.Regardless I was extremely happy with my visit and the staff. Even the appointment scheduling process was a breeze.
Staff is great! Clean facility. Affordable health care when you do not have health insurance like myself and need to pay out of pocket. They offer many services for women. Tambien hablan Español.
I randomly found this center on a google search and I am so thankful that I did. From the first phone call, everything was convenient and painless. They directed me to nonprofits which helped with the costs of the procedure, offered a Medicaid discount, and provided me exceptional customer service both in facility and on the phone. The receptionists, nurses, and doctor were all very comforting and non judgmental. The procedure itself was painless as I under general anesthesia. The nurse was telling me I was going to sleep one second, and the next I was awoken in the recovery room. I was given my prescription, animal crackers, & have been resting since my procedure this morning. I have minimal pain and have not yet taken any more ibuprofen. All in all, a very pleasant experience for something that seemed so unpleasant. I would definitely recommend this facility for your feminine needs.
I went here to get an ultrasound done, and they told me the wrong information. When I asked more questions to inquire about the ultrasound, the tech kept telling me “she doesn’t know.” Then they proceeded to have me waiting and worried for 2 hours only to find out they forgot about me and told me the wrong information from the start. The physician herself then continued to try to sugarcoat their mistake and keep the lie going. Do not go here! All they care about is the money and getting you in and out of their face. The service is terrible and they don’t care about you.
Truly exceptional clinicians and staff; heros is a better description. The most outstanding care you could ever ask for.
I had a great experience here. There was a bit of a wait time for the doctor, but the service to me made that not matter at all. Everyone on staff was very friendly and nice and Dr. Chelsea was great. I am used to doctors not spending any time with me and making me feel dumb when expressing my thoughts and opinions, but she was so kind and informative and very supportive and non-judgemental. She spent a lot of time with me to make sure I fully understood everything and was comfortable. Thank you!
I came here for a check up in November and forgot to write a review, but I highly recommend this place. I was feeling a little bit anxious but the workers were all so friendly and made me feel comfortable. The doctor explained everything to me from start to finish which really helped out. Also very thankful places like these exist to help people who dont have insurance. A huge blessing.
As devastated as I was to even have to be here, the staff and facility was 100 percent professional and compassionate. They do not take these procedures lightly, and help you understand everything through every step. Absolutely Best nurses and doctors I have ever had. They made sure my procedure was as painless as possible. Thank you, feminist womens health clinic, everyone who works there made this scary and very difficult situation as smooth and comfortable as possible. They also found funding for the entire procedure.
I had service on yesterday! The staff was nice and polite. They made you feel comfortable...the only thing I had a problem with is the protesters and the wait is so long and drawn out but you can have you cell phone in the waiting area but they have the WiFi code posted for guest to use! We were there for about 6 hours not having access to the phone if something was to happen in your outside life I didn’t like that but overall I had a great experience.
I recently had an appointment at the feminist women’s center. The woman who made the appointment made several mistakes along the way (with paperwork and all), but the woman who called to confirm my appointment was so amazing. She was so thorough and made sure everything was in tip top shape. She really went above and beyond to apologize and fix the issues.During the appointment, the staff from the front to the back were very kind and supportive. I would give them 4 stars for the incomplete paperwork, but it happens, and they went above and beyond in every other aspect. One thing to remember, certain types of procedures require a long wait. They warn you, and there is not much that can be done about that. There are lots of patients and only so many hours in a day.
The facility staff could do a better job at mentioning the protesters/chaos - in the parking lot - to patients. Not saying anything at all creates an unsafe experience. My wife was completely blindsided by this, and I think she would have felt better supported if someone gave even the slightest heads up. On the process. The protesters, security escorts, long wait in the car with no idea what to do. My wife describes it as a bad dream. Shame on the Feminist Women’s Health Center.
I could not give this facility anything less. From check in to recovery. The ENTIRE STAFF was professional, courteous, warm and non judgmental. Although, I saw the doctor for maybe less than two minutes, she was like a SUPERHERO. She did her thing and I was in the recovery room. It’s like nothing even happened. I truly had to ask did the procedure actually happened. Not to mention, the counselor, she was thorough, quick and funny. Nurse Christa at check out was super sweet. I would recommend anyone to this facility. If anyone who wrote a bad review on here probably was having a bad day or maybe a bad attitude. Thank you so much to ALL of you👌🏾💯‼️Best Regards,T.T.
Cliff Valley is one of the most thoughtful places and has exceeded my expectations.Since my first visit, general check-up/pap & IUD removal, every interaction with them has been fantastic.Today I spoke with a lovely front desk worker named Paula, who was an absolute delight and truly improved my day.Even though what I need is not at their clinic, Paula assisted me with an abundance of enthusiasm and without hesitation.Thank you. Thank you tremendously Cliff Valley and Paula.
I give this place a 5 star! Iam from Texas and took the abortion pill and it did not work. Due to the law changing here in Texas I was already to far when I went in for my check up and they said they could not help me.I called Feminist women’s and they were very nice and helpful! Due to me living states away I had to fly there and fly back home next day after my procedure. I told them that I had a flight at 6 to catch and I hope I wouldn’t miss it. They immediately got me into dressing clothes and took me to the back and did my procedure quickly and accordingly. Due to this all being new to me especially flying by myself states away and staying there over night they navigated me through almost everything as far as closest hotel and a driver that could pick me up and drop me back off at airport. I must say, I had a huge relief once I was on the plane headed back home. Thank you Feminist woman’s health care! Y’all were a amazing team!
I understand what happens at clinics like this and I know theyre confidential. However, I just called to double check on MY OWN appointment (gave her my name and birthday as well as the date of the appointment) and the woman on the phone refused to give me any confirmation. She spoke condescendingly slow like I was stupid for inquiring about my own health information. Ive never been to this clinic but Im not going too now, because first impressions matter and hers wasnt good. So frustrating...and Im generally very positive about my reviews.
Booked appointment 2 weeks in advance. Only to be informed when I arrive, that their card machine is down and they want me to do a money order. This doesnt work for my insurance. Im mad at them because I actually scheduled a flight around this appointment. They could have called.
It was a long day when my husband and I went for my appointment, but we were already told to expect a long appointment when I made my appointment. The staff was very friendly and they answered any questions I had. I was so grateful to be provided with birth control in the same appointment. The procedure itself was quick. The clinic has a home-like feeling. I really appreciate all the staff at the clinic.
So very thankful for these people. My experience was the best for my situation. I felt safe and secure. Starting with the security guard he was nice, informative, and pleasant. Check in was easy. The nurses was the best answered every question made me feel warm and comfortable. This was something I hope to never experience again but Im happy they was there in my time of need. This was one of the hardest decision I made but Im happy I did. I can now go on with my life knowing I did the best thing for me and the unborn thanks feminist center. Oh my recovery nurse sent me off with a heartfelt hug and well wishes. God knows best
My wife came here to do an abortion behind my back after we decided to keep the baby. People here are unprofessional. I been waiting for her to come out for 5 hours and she never did. She must of been only person in here. Some lady came out and told me what happened to find out she messed up telling me that. That I was blind and didn’t know what was going on. She was 9 weeks pregnant. They did some kind of surgery on her. Usually within those 9 weeks a pill is given for abortion but this place wanted to take money from my insurance. Then random “Uber lady” drove by taking photos of me and 2 women came out to tell me to get off properly who were very unprofessional. My wife was put to sleep without having a driver to take her home. Which I believe is against the law. When someone is put to sleep for a surgery is supposed to have an actual driver to take her home. She took an Uber behind my back to this place. Regardless this place is super shady. Read some of those reviews before you consider coming here. Do research. I wish I could give this place no star at all
I went in today for a surgical abortion. I had an appointment for 8:45am. I was done with everything by 12:30pm. The staff made me feel very comfortable, and they were professional. Had big smiles, which put me at ease. Dr.Malloy treated me with respect and comforted me as soon as he greeted me. Very knowledgeable staff. Expect to pay at least $535. Also be sure to book an early appt, it could help get out sooner since many women complain about long wait times. Quite secure facility. I felt safe. Very quick procedure (5-10 minutes). I would recommend.
The staff was very welcoming and non judgmental, they have all kinds of discounts like students, mediciad, etc.The only con is the wait. They dont accept walk ins so everyone there has scheduled an appointment. What I later discovered was that many people had appointment for the same time. Their kind staff, affordable prices, and their great reputation is why I would recommend them.
I used to love this place. But recently they have become very unorganized. Losing paper work. Not doing paper work correctly. Leave patients on hold for over 30 minutes. The office staff is beyond sweet, but the doctor is a joke. After 2 years of regular visits every 3 months, Im finally swapping to in town primary care.
I called for an appointment . And the white lady who answered the phone was completely disrespectful and judgemental. I told her my doctor exact words about how far along I am. and she had the audacity to try to tell me what my doctor has told me. That’s why I Have a team of Black doctors and nurses. It always seems in my experiences and people close to me, that white healthcare workers do not have respect for black patients and treat us less than. I requested to speak to another person but she claimed she was the only one working the phones. This happened today March 31 @ 2:33 PM
Okay, just left and nothing got done:They do NOT accept Care Credit, which is crazy because they are a non profit and they know most people walking up there do not have insurance and have come to a center like such to pay out of pocket. To me this place seems like a scam that some rich folk has started to get a tax right off. They offer no type of financial assistance, if for some reason you cant pay all up front. OH and i love how you have to pay for the service first, they want their money thats all they seem to care about. The staff was cordial about it but not helpful at all. I do not recommend this place they just about their money ..smh dont let their name fool you, not about women health
I really wanted to love my experience here, because of the organiations values, but those values don’t make up for the misery that was this simple appointment. Also, it was no cheaper than self paying at my regular OB. My appt was at 11:15, I arrived at 11 to find out they had given the wrong information on how I could pay when I scheduled. I ended up needing to go to the bank to withdrawal cash to pay them (despite the fact that they were adamant on the phone they wouldn’t accept cash, which was my preferred method of payment anyway). No one apologized or even acknowledged their error, or really showed any compassion at all.I was supposed to go to work after my appt, and at 1 PM when I tearfully asked the front desk woman how much longer I would have to wait the pink haired girl started to attempt to nicely help, but then the woman standing behind her began talking over her to rudely and agggressively let me know they would call me back next so I could wait in the back. When I tried to explain that I needed to get to work (at this point I was literally on the verge of tears and shaking), she would not let me speak and again loudly and rudely informed me they would take to me next. None of the front desk staff showed any compassion for the fact that I was visibly and obviously upset and had been with waiting for hours. There was only one other person waiting, so I really don’t understand what the issue is, but I know I surely won’t be driving an hour again to deal with this, and it is 100% due to the rudeness and uncaring attitudes of the front desk staff. The staff member who took my vitals and the nurse practitioner were the only people who seemed to care, but that doesn’t make up in anyway for the attitudes of the other employees.
The over all experience was ok and just that. When I had the procedure done they told me I would be there 5-6 hours. I got there at 8am and did not leave until 5. Its as if they forgot about me. The staff was nice to me I cant say the same for the person i had with me. They werent trying to give any information or updates on my progress since i was there so long. Coming back for a follow up was a hassal as well. Just a word of advice, if you go here dont plan anything else and have a extreme amount of patience cause youll need it. Other than timing issues they got thejib done and the staff is nice.
Very rude and slowwwww they will let you sit until 5 pm all the ppl working upfront rude the doctor is very rude and does not care about having you wait 8 hours for nothing 😂😂😂 the manager is also very very rude. She cuts ppl off
There is something to be said about having doctors and nurses that look like you. I felt loved and well taken care of by these beautiful and educated women of color. They said that they provide safe, accessible, and compassionate services without judgement and they mean it. I plan to donate to this nonprofit organization regularly to ensure they can keep doing the “heart” work that they do.
My insurance doesnt kick in until January meaning I would have had to wait the whole month of December to get my annual. Being new in town I had to google around and this place popped up. For $130 I got my exam and peace of mind. Staff was super friendly, especially the doctor. Thanks guys!
The staff were helpful when I called, and when I went in as a new client. The womens health has competitive pricing for the uninsured, and they are thorough with their health exams. The nurse practitioner was more than willing to answer any questions, and was very welcoming. I recommend this place for annuals.
On May 22nd, 2019 I went for my gender ultrasound and was informed that our little girl had quite a few problems. After going to see a specialist in Chattanooga where an amniocentesis was performed, we were informed our baby had Turner’s syndrome. It was a very severe case and I was told I would lose her indefinitely before the 6th month. Because of her struggling and rapidly decreasing heartbeat, we made the decision to have a fetal anomaly abortion and we were referred to the Feminist Women’s Health Center. Although this was the hardest decision I will ever have to make, I knew it was for the best. Yesterday I went to the center to begin the procedure and I cannot say enough how amazing all of the staff here was. The sympathy and understanding in everyone’s voice put me at ease. The nurse Crista is honestly an angel and the doctor who performed the procedure was phenomenal. They will never know how much I appreciate the very difficult job they do everyday with a warm smile on their face. So to any woman who is facing what I have been through, do not hesitate at all to come to this center.
The staff and volunteer (Madison) here are exceptional and are very professional. They treated me with respect and dignity and made my visit today bearable. On the other hand, the protesters were awful. The guy protesting outside of the clinic with the bullhorn yelling at everyone was very disturbing to me. If he was trying to make a point via Christianity, he missed his mark. I almost hit another car exiting the parking lot based on my anxiety and being afraid of the protesters who approached my car yelling at me while attempting to give me literature that I clearly was not interested in taking from them. My body. My right to choose!
Update: The Clinic Director never called either, of course.I have been visiting this clinic every few months for over 3 years. The last 6 months I have received the most neglectful healthcare I have ever experienced. I held my tongue for 6 months hoping things would improve, but they havent. I am extremely disappointed. Most recently, it has taken 2 weeks (and counting) for the physician to review my blood work to refill my prescription. I had the blood drawn on a Wednesday. The results came back that Friday; however, 2 weeks later, no one has taken 5 mins out of their day to review the results and call in my refill. On nearly 10 different occasions, Ive called the office (daily at this point) and have been told She will call you today/tomorrow/within 48hrs. Even my pharmacy has reached out to them 3 times, but theyve now given up.As a patient, I have been put on the backburner for 2 weeks. Last time I needed this exact same medication refilled, it took a month. Apparently the quality of healthcare that I receive has been deemed much lower than others.
To begin with, I want to say that my experience is based on one receptionist only, and that maybe they are not all like her. Or so I hope. I will not go back to this place. I went the website the day before to get a sense of what the clinic is like and read reviews as well and I thought great! A feminist womens clinic, must be filled with kind souls and non judgmental people, well, I wasnt so right. I came in today with no appointment, as I thought that as any clinic, especially womens clinic, they accepted drop in, and I am certain the website does not say other wise. I entered the clinic and was not greated by the receptionist, she did not even look at me. I stood in front of the window for a good minute, seeing that she was on the phone, but she did not seem to pay me any mind. So I went to sit down and stayed seated for a few minutes before I decided to give it another try and went to see the receptionist. Now, before I continue, let me share with you that I have social anxiety, and its very hard for me to talk to people. So I come to the front again to make my presence known and the receptionist give me the nastiest look, and the worst attitude. I told her that I was here for an annual GYN consultation, which includes STI testing, and she told me it was $100 something dollars right away, I asked her if they took insurance but unfortunately they did not take mine, which I cannot blame her for. However, I believe that the website states that they have student discount, and she was holding my student visa as we were talking. Any way, she made me feel extremely uncomfortable, to the point that I started to panic, and I will not return there.
Im giving this place an 65/100I am a 21 year old college student and they allowed me to use a student discount. They also took my insurance... Many places dont. I am so grateful Because it covered my procedure 100%.Front of the house staff were nice and quick the kept movies playing on tv as well while we waited. It was freezing so take a jacket/blanket. I got my pre examination pretty quickly so I thought I would be in and out. Sadly once my pre exams were finished I waited until 3:46 to start my procedure. Mind you my appointment was at 9:45. I feel as though they didnt mind keeping people that long. Most Staff got off work before I could even start my procedure. Other than the waiting which ruined my experience. I didnt get to sleep off my medicine that put me to sleep. They woke me up so early I could barely even walk although I get why I was rushed up... It was because they over scheduled so many women they needed the bed I lied In. This is my second abortion... My first one was way more pleasant. I wont have a 3rd one but if I did I dont think I would return to this facility I would go to my first for sure.
I had my appointment at Feminists three weeks ago. I have been trying to conceive for three years, and the pregnancy befor this one ended in miscarriage. Needless to say when my OB diagnosed my baby with a rare and fatal fetal anomaly I was crushed. Everyone there was so kind. They had a separate waiting room for moms who were terminating due to fetal anomalies and offered cremation services. The day of my procedure was very hard on me emotionally. After it was said and done I had complications immediately afterwards due to a preexisting condition that was previously unknown, not because of anything they did. They had me come right back for treatment even though they had closed for the day. While there, the nurse who triaged me for my surgery, Crista, was the nurse in charge of monitoring my condition. She talked to me and made me feel better and when I told her the heating pad did more for the pain than the meds, she gave me one she purchased with her own money. When I was discharged, I became really depressed. Crista called me a few times afterwards, I missed the first calls but finally picked up. She said she was just following up with me, and I told her physically I wad fine but I was so sad. She asked if I had utilized the grief resources they gave me away my appointment. I informed her that I hadnt been able to get in touch with them. When she found out this, she called me after hours and had gone out of her way tho find a support group that helped so much. I dont know if I wouldve been ok without her help. She is an angel here on earth and Im so thankful she was there to see me through.
My trusted Paragard IUD I had put in 6 years ago failed. It had moved from its proper place high in my Uterus to sliding lower into my cervix. I had no way of knowing this, and low and behold I got pregnant for the first time ever at age 30. It was a tough decision to make but the timing in my life was just not right. After googling many clinics I decided based on the reviews this was the most affordable and professional location. They seem to only do procedures Fri, Sat, and every other Tues. I read many many reviews about bad waiting times so I even considered paying $250 extra, on top of the $535 procedure to expedite the process. However at the last minute I decided to tough it out with a good book.I requested the earliest apt available, it was explained to me that your wait time starts as soon as youre done filling out the forms youre handed when you arrive. I filled out the forms, and it started the process.Forms, then ultrasound, then lab work, then payment, then health education/birth control counseling. Each one of those steps you go from waiting room to back room to rotate through. Then - youre ready for pre-procedure and procedure. My whole experience lasted 3 hours! I could have been lucky that day but I got there about 9 (traffic made me a little late) and was out by 12. The security guard outside was very helpful and cheery, the nurses were great but most of all the doctor put me at ease - he gave me the confidence that he knew what he was doing.I chose to stay awake for the procedure - it wasnt horrible, but there was some intense cramping from the numbing of the area.I dont know what the other clinics are like - but I do know my experience here worked for me and I never felt judged. Luckily here in Georgia we have the right to choose whats best for ourselves! There were 1 or 2 protesters in the very front which was a little alarming but after watching an abortion documentary - compared to the midwest we have it pretty good in Atlanta.
First, I have never written a review before but I was so put off that I had to. Second, I havent even gone yet but when I called the receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. Answered the phone with an attitude and when I asked my question she answered as if I asked a stupid one and was inconveniencing her then I politely said thankyou and she hung up immediately. Im ok with the prices and under my circumstances I really cant be deterred by rude people so I will probably stil go up and give it another shot. Maybe the others will be nicer. But so far, first impression isnt good.
Im overall in total disbelief they are charging $75 to obtain your medical records. I have never heard someone charge for records at the price. I’m even more in disbelief to know my records were transferred to a company who has my information without my consent or authorization. The customer service at the front desk is also horrible.Update: I called back to ask is there any type of notice that is mailed out to let you know your personal records are mailed out and the front desk representative stated no , your information is not secure and there should of been a noticed sent out.
What an amazing experience staff was friendly very helpful and understanding they made me feel comfortable the doctor was very professional and I felt comfortable when I meet him. The time took 10 hours but for what people are going through I will highly recommend this place I drove 3 hour and glad I did.
I am not sure the name of the Woman who was working the Entrance into the Office today. But she is impossibly kind. She has made herself fully available and willing to help every single person who has come in. She is a breath of fresh air, in what I cant imagine to be an easy job. Many thanks.
GHETTO!!!! You have to wait in the parking lot inside your car for hours until they call you into the building! Having an appointment doesn’t matter you won’t enter the building until 2/3 hours after your appointment. The security guard plays very loud music from his truck! I haven’t even made it to the inside yet I’m actually thinking about just leaving & scheduling another appointment somewhere else
I came here to get my check up because I am from out of town. They tell you you don’t need a check up every year but, rather 3-5 years.(women of color please don’t take this horrible advice, we have the highest rates and prolonging your check ups will only intensify these rates.) They tested me for stuff I didn’t ask for and was already tested for FREE at another place. they had one job and didn’t not Execute, I have to go back to do the test again because they “didn’t get enough cells.” Never ever have I experienced this at a real OB/GYN. Needless to say I still don’t have my results because I haven’t been able to go back. I’ve been rescheduled three times at this point. I don’t recommend going here.
Everyone was so helpful and so nice highly recommended this place ! Wait time was a bit longer came in at 8:30 left around 12 but the service was amazing .
I decided to share my experience here from when I got an abortion several years ago. I was scared and unsure of what to expect, but every single person who worked there was so caring and understanding of what I was going through. Yes, the wait and entire process took a while, but its also not something that should be rushed. They want to make sure youre okay mentally and physically before going through with it. I can say that the majority of the bad reviews are probably false, and made from Pro-Life people who are trying to scare others from coming here. Its sad that they do this, but just know, this place is safe. Everything will be okay. The decision you made to get an abortion is okay. Dont let these bad reviews scare you off from your decision.
I first want to say thank you for to this location for all the help and supoort they gave me during my time of need. They listened to me and made me aware of every step they took and helped me cope with my decision. I was kinda put in a position to have to terminate my pregnancy due to abnormalities of my babys brain and this facility was so caring and respectful. I want to say thank u everyone.
Look, when you have to go there.... you don’t really expect an excellent experience .... the waiting room was very full, there was no AC except for a small thing in the corner that a few people were hogging... and it would be okay if you didn’t have to wait 7-8 hours. Just a warning, bring something to entertain yourself with so you don’t go crazy because you can’t have your phone and they won’t let you know what’s happening or how long you have to wait. Overall the staff was very kind and I’m glad they suggested hotlines to call because it proved to be very helpful.
Very weird interaction over the phone... had some man on the phone telling how I didn’t need an appointment I should be able to tell what’s wrong with me based on my discharge 🥴 and I replied well actually that’s not true you can have underlying issues without discharge... needless to say it was a weird back and forth with a man telling me what I should know about MY body. Thanks goodness I didn’t get an appointment. How awkward.
I was nervous going here with my situation but everyone was extremely nice and made me feel better and made me more relaxed and made sure i was comfortable. i just want to thank them again for helping me and talking to me and understanding as well and the two ladies holding my hand to talk to me really helped alot very sweet ladies.
To the staff that cried with me, to the phlebotomist that made me laugh, to the counselor that made me feel like I had a choice, to the ultrasound tech that was gentle in our goodbye, to the nurse who held my hand, and the one who helped me recover. From beginning to end you guys made the hardest choice of my life, mine. You grieved with me, you supported me, you protected me. Thank you
Everyone is super nice but they are extremely slow and inconsiderate of patients’ time. The last time I came in for an appointment they completely forgot about me and I ended up waiting for an hour and a half longer than normal. They’re not “on top of things” by any means.
The wait WAS TERRIBLE, I waited more than 6 hours it was miserable, especially with out food . The staff was nice but they most definitely need help , but moving forward STOP over scheduling every one appointment at one time ! The appointment that I had should had been 2 hrs Max , Also a bit unorganized, your running from the waiting room to the back 6/7 times .
I’m not sure why this place has any bad reviews. The staff are very nice and professional. I would recommend it to anyone for any of your feminine needs including abortion. They don’t judge you nor do they talk down to you. My first time going and I have no complaints. I would like to thank the staff for their professionalism and help.
I am unsure if this will get to the correct medium for resolution but I am going to send and attempt to try to see. I have been a patient for contraceptive services for the past 4-5 years off and on. The services are hardly ever punctual, as I sit in a side waiting room at 1145 am while my appt was at 1030 I am utterly frustrated, as a facility to be able to offer these services it is so awful that a patient would be waiting over an hour past appt time before even being called back. I am unsure of what the delay is in regards to, but I currently sit in the waiting room with a new patient someone who has never been serviced here before who had a 10am appt and was called back at 1145. The support that this facility needs in the current day and times of our society is going to be thrwarted with what seems as a lack of professionalism in the way the clinic is run as well as respect for the time constraints of the patients. Please figure out a way to address this, I contemplate whether I will ever come back or be financially active in the support of this facility when I feel like my time is not valued in any way form or fashion.
I went in for my appointment Friday, was extremely nervous but it was one of the most highly rated experiences I can give. Thank you all so much for being professional and courteous. I appreciate your staff.
Their employee recently assaulted an individual outside of their clinic. Instead of answering people who have called reasonably, they wont allow complaints to be lodged and/or hang up on people who call. The nurse who assaulted the individual should be fired.
The people that work at FWHC are very active in the community and friendly both in and outside of the building. I met some of the employees and volunteers at Pride and they told me about the many events they host and ways to get involved. This is a great organization with a great mission.
Super helpful! Great staff!!! Would definitely recommend. Literally only one downside, and it’s that it literally took 7 hours. But if you have patience, the staff really is worth is.
Went for a general women’s exam that included STD’s, HIV. It was covered by my insurance and all the clinicians were friendly and clearly experts in their field. I had a few questions and at one point 3 people were in the room providing suggestions, resources and recommendations. Thank you for your time and care!
Honesty i love this place. I passed out while getting my blood drawn and all the women came to help me and gave me strawberries and lemonade and animal crackers. they were soooo nice! i would recommend going here 💗💗💗
This center provides the level of care and concern that is catered specifically to the needs of its clients. I have had the pleasure of receiving multiple services in which I was treated with the utmost respect. I would recommend this center as a resource to aid in your health concerns and/or needs.
This is such a great clinic for any feminine needs! Great staff; they truly do care about you! Also, try to ignore the protestors as they don’t have a clue what’s going on! I’d definitely recommend this clinic!
Half of these reviews are written by those crazy jesus freak people. Ignore them. This clinic is clean, professional, and the staff is friendly. Yes, there are some crying kids in the waiting area, but thats not the clinics fault, is it?FWHC offers a sliding scale payment option for abortion that was useful to me. They also get funding for abortion procedures from a jewish womens group. They do everything they can to get you the services you need. You should absolutely go there.
When you go be prepared to wait at least 5 hours which is why I gave it 4 stars. Other than that it is a wonderful place once you get to the back everything run a lot smoother and faster. I actually passed out and they took VERY good care of me I could have ask for a better staff. Thank You so much
This organization provides so many great services. I really appreciate the dedication of the staff and the advocacy mission of the organization. The Centers voice is desperately needed when the rights of women are being targeted at all levels of government.
Didnt return my phonecalls or give me any correct information. The phone staff was rude, unhelpful and condescending. It took three months to get any valid information out of them and at that point I had been out of my medication for quite some time. Youre better off elsewhere.
It was a good experience. I was nervous but everyone was reassuring. I even got a ride home after my procedure from one of the women in the advocacy department. I would recommend this place to anyone.
The people that answer the phone is very rude. They dont listen for nothing.i had appointment today and will not be going to them because of how they talk to someone on the phone. its like they have no respect for you. Its been like this sent I made the appointment just rude. I called them this morning to confirm appointment because I never received a call day before the lady hung up in my face
Nice, clean and hospitible. This is a great place for affordable female health, birth control and annual yearly exams. Im self pay without insurance but I feel at home here. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Of course anything that is safe and worth it takes time. The wait time is the same across the board; however the staff, down to the security guard were amazing!!! Clean and safe environment.
Horrible! They did my anesthesia wrong & all I remember was screaming during the process. When I finally recovered & woke up they had to have given me a second one. Very painful & the appointment was a long overdrawn appointment of unnecessary waiting. I was there at least 8 hours.
Horrible experience I had here twice. The customer service is awful and rude. The women at the front are just rude and nasty. I came to this place last week and was turned a way due to a mistake and came back today ran out this place crying. From the annoying security guy to the women in the front desk, I would never recommend this place to anyone. During a time like this the last thing you need is a uncaring staff. Please look further before choosing this place. I almost had a panick attack and thank God I had support.
First and most importantly, they are organized and efficient. However, due to the nature of this procedure, the wait may be up to 8 hours. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. and have been seen yet and the time is 4:18p.m.
Horrible experience, everyone is very rushed and disorganized. The lady at the front couldnt even answer my questions properly making them seem undereducated. I called several time to speak to someone about the process since I had an appointment coming up and know one explain the process. I drove 4 hours to get there and still couldnt get a simple answer from the lady checking me in.
Ive been to the Feminist Womens Health Care center a few times for a few different reasons. The staff has always been pleasant and extremely supportive of my needs.
Professional and wonderful staff. Made a girl feel like she wasn’t alone in this world during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. I can’t thank them enough.
I felt very comfortable and safe the whole time thanks to Mellie, Christina, Marcy, and Tiffany I really appreciate you all. You ladies did a woman job
Amazing amazing amazing! the women here are so sweet. went for my birth control and couldn’t be happier!
I have gone recently and honestly everyone who works there is very understanding and make you feel comfortable they explain everything very well fast process also they work with you
Literally, took me weeks to find a good place where I thought I could go and this place popped up I couldn’t be more satisfied! I highly recommend. They are all amazing and took care of me very well!
Came to the clinic for an annual wellness exam, quick service, and every member of staff was polite and considerate. Great place.
The front desk staff is really rude and don’t answer questions or concerns they rush you off the phone and hang up . They’re previous staff was very friendly the rest of the staff is nice and show that they care for your health and ur reason for your visit .
Its is a long wait, but a pleasant visit from every doctor I came in contact with... The doctors and nurses took really good care of me, I felt safe!
I havent been here yet I have an appointment soon I rated 5 stars because I called several locations for pricing and the other places whoever answered the phone was quick and rude but when I called here the lady was nice asked me a lot of questions and I was even made aware of the fact that my insurance might cover the procedure.
Please stop the abortion. This is not the way to handle the pregnancy this place is like the gates of hell. Staff so rude and hurtful. Just reconsider
If you are going because you don’t want your baby and would like to listen to star.94 music while waiting and have rude, unsympathetic employees handle you, then this is the place for you. If you’re going for a medical termination that is already heartbreaking for you, RUN.
The security and front desk staff are very unprofessional the service was horrible when I arrived to this location patients were out front/ hanging in the parking lot waiting to enter the building to many patients being scheduled at one time due trying to make fast money this place was horrible never seen anything like it wow
Took someone here...it was cold outside and they didnt have no heat.... she had a appointment for 9am.. they didnt see here till 1pm... they had these old fasion tv with the movie pursuit of happiness was on repeat...
I was a driver for someone and the staff was very rude to me and I was there to help someone else out. I was really upset and hurt by the way they spoke to me and I plan to spread the word to others.
I had the best experience under the circumstances. The staff was amazing and professional.
Very welcoming , quick in and out 10/10
Caring, understanding, compassionate people. Loving Good hearted people. That was my experience here.❤
One of the employee was so rude not sure if she was against abortions or what. Also the process is just way to long
Do not come here
They won’t let me talk to the man in charge.
This clinic is a BIG joke. I walked out because the staff was rude and they had crying children everywhere. DONT GO HERE
People here are compassionate and caring. Thank you for all you do. ❤️
Bullied me because im a man and laughed at me when i said my wife abuses me! it has made me feel even more depressed.
Theres absolutely no reason why an 8 minute procedure takes 8 hours.
Wow theses reviews are definitely enough for me. Not wasting my time.
I never received a call back & my prescription was never called in.. It’s been 4 Weeks.
Really take care of you everyone is very nice and patience
Extremely rude on the phone- I wouldn’t spend a dime here. And it was the local number not the 1800 number.
The staff that dealt with me was very caring very understanding and very helpful I would recommend this place to anyone
Absolutely no help-could not even give me a referral
Service is always friendly and helpful!
A wonderful top notch health care clinic with amazing staff members!!!!
Drove a friend in need here. They made sure she got desperately needed help.
Affirming place that does tremendous and important work. grateful.
THANK YOU!
So helpful. What would we do without them?
Reproductive education for all women and annual exams in a safe caring environment.
Great place! Will be going back again.
FTM safe
Very unprofessional dont! Go to this place
Best clinic Ive been to
Positive, helpful, reassuring folks at the center.
Incredible, caring staff and workers.
Good staff. Long wait.
I was in and out with the staffs help.
If i could give this place more than 5 stars I would! This is my first pregnancy and I was so scared to come here to get help as I cannot have a kid due to personal issues. All the staff has been so extremely kind and understanding. They dont make you feel bad about your decision. They are very informative about the whole process. I swear some of the bad comments are all from protestors. Please come here if you need help. My biggest advice is dont be afraid to because they are willing to help and are some of the nicest people I have ever met.
I had a missed abortion and at this place they helped me and everyone was very kind, I dont understand why there are negative opinions. They told me that VAT would take 7 hours but in reality it took less than 4 and they didnt charge me anything, which I am very grateful for.
The clinic is very dirty, it seems that they are not at all authentic. Personally, I do not recommend it.
Great help for the community. United we are more!
