The wait time here is UNREAL. I’ve waited once for 30 minutes, and again for an hour and a half - just for a follow up for my breast.I asked when I got here if there was a wait, and she said 10 minutes…When I asked how much longer, she stated, your in line, they’re cleaning the bed. I WAIT ANOTHER 30 minutes!!What is the point of making an appointment if I have to wait over an hour and a half in the waiting room?!?I have been here for over 2 hours and have yet to see the doctor
I had a wonderful experience at this location. Everyone working front desk was so incredibly kind and everyone I spoke to expressed genuine concern for any issues I was having. They made me feel welcomed and answered any questions I had (:
Worst experience with everyone yesterday. the front desk was so unhelpful. She was very rude about me not having insurance and just because she couldn’t scan my ID on her scanner she was turning me away saying “did you want to re schedule” when as soon as I said no she fixed the issue. there was so much miscommunication with the nurse. And when doctor showed up it felt so rushed. I didn’t end up leaving with answers of what infection I had. She came in Examined my back and abdomen and just said “we sent antibiotics for infections.” What infection ?? I cameIn with questions and bc of how rushed the doctor was with me I couldn’t even ask what infection I had or what my situation was. They brushed it off like if I didn’t have anything. I’ve came to this location before and never had an issue. I guess it all depends on who is there that day.
I had the best experience at this location. Shout out to Shawn, Jenny, & Katie for making sure I was comfortable & answered any questions I had about my heath.Planned parenthood is most certainly healthcare. And I will be coming back soon whenever I need healthcare. I appreciate all of their positive & pleasant attitude as well. I’m beyond happy with deciding to come here.
They always make me feel safe and comfortable. I’ve gone to so many other doctors but always wind back up at planned parenthood because they have been the most kind and respectful. I know a lot of people have varying political opinions about PP and I get it- but this place is so much more than just one controversial service. They are caring doctors and nurses who take the time to make sure you understand and feel comfortable, and have helped me with everything- my pregnancy, birth control, cancer screenings, biopsies… on top of kindness, they’re non judgmental and thorough. I am glad they exist. Big thanks to the last doctor I saw, Jackie, (and the nurse Madeline) I was scared of having a painful procedure done but she made it so easy.
Avoid Jacqueline Sweeton when possible.I went here for an STI test bc it was the earliest appointment I could find. The receptionist and the person who did my blood work were GREAT: super friendly and reassuring – everything I would expect given planned parenthoods reputation. Unfortunately when I had the physical exam with Jacqueline Sweeton the entire visit went downhill fast...First she told me everything looked fine and that shed be right back to give me an antibiotic shot, but when she returned she explained, with absolutely horrible bedside manner, that I needed to RUN straight to the ER for imaging bc she said one of my testicles was severely swollen and that Id probably need surgery. I had never been to the ER before and I had already voiced having anxiety since Id never had an STI scare either, so her laughing about me needing emergency surgery as I left the room didnt make me any less terrified. Then I get to the ER and the doctor was surprised by Jacquelines referral and said there was barely any swelling. I spent 4 hours at the ER only to find out there was no problem with my testicle at all. Paid my copay and a month later got an additional bill from the ER. All-in-all what should have been a standard STI check cost me $700 because of Jacqueline Sweetons flippant and completely unnecessary emergency room referral.I really hope my experience was a one-off because I know how important planned parenthood is for a lot of people, but I wont be going back to this location after my experience. Not everyone has $700 (or $15,000, which is what it apparently would have cost without insurance) they can throw at a completely unnecessary emergency room visit so in that regard I know Im lucky, but Id hate for someone less fortunate to be put in the same situation.
I saw NP Jackie Sweeton for a IUD follow-up. I had a lot of concerns in a wide array of different areas. She was truly wonderful. She was incredibly helpful and honest but very kind and comforting. I felt so heard and understood. Every woman needs a NP Jackie!
Made an appointment for 10am, drove over an hour, called in to work for the morning to come, and I was told they can’t see me until the afternoon? No phone call, no apology for the inconvenience, just the “manager” saying there’s 7 patients ahead of me that “are more important” including walk ins? If I have an appointment, why would they put a walk in ahead of an appointment? Why couldn’t they call to let me know they can’t get to my appointment today? And why does the “manager”, who is not a doctor, reserve the right to assume who is and isn’t urgent based off of …. what? Women like you are why people make a joke of planned parenthood. Don’t be in healthcare if you’re not going to give a damn about patients.
I had an appointment at this center recently set for 3:30pm. I arrived 2 minutes late due to struggling to find the suite where it was located, and when I arrived, I saw there were people signing papers to check in, so I waited for them to finish. Unfortunately their process took till 4pm, so when I finally got up to check in, they said “I was too late” and they couldn’t help me. They then proceeded to ask what I was here for, and I said birth control, for my cramps because I’d be going to school again soon and wanted to avoid missing days. The lady simply repeated that they didn’t have time for me, and I tried to re explain why I needed it soon, getting a bit upset. She then started babying me, after I’d told her my dad kicked me out recently (the only reason I told her this was because she asked why I was so worried about getting it fast). Without any explanation she offered me Plan B, saying she was here for me, and offered me a sexual abuse help number. I got pissed and told her I’d just make an online appointment, since I’d never had sex before, and there was no reason I needed that card. They call it a safe space, but then go out of their way to assume you’re lying when you tell them your real situation. I understand that there may be some cases where that situation is what’s happening, but they should never assume, and shouldn’t expect everyone’s story to be the same.
Their reception is horrible. I waited in line for an hour with only 5 people in front of me. I made it to number 2 in line. I never saw anyone in the lobby go in for treatment. So I left.
Every staff member and healthcare provider here is so incredibly sweet and caring and sensitive to how nerve wracking women’s healthcare appointments can be. I loved it here and it made me regret not getting a checkup sooner! The only thing that sucks is the hour wait times past your appointment time. Also for me personally it wasn’t as affordable as I hoped. I still ended up paying about $450 for my pap and iud removal appointments 😵💫.
Not reasonable at all. Don’t have insurance and can’t pay almost $300. so no birth control for me. Every state is different but I guess I gotta abort a baby I don’t want if I end up pregnant.
First off, I appreciate what planned parenthood does at such a reasonable price. I was seen fast after I made an appointment and had hope that they would help me figure out my issues. What was frustrating was that after being told that if the medication they prescribed was too expensive, to call them and they would provide other options, they literally told me to research what medication I should be on. I am not a doctor, and this category of medication was really broad so obviously I didn’t even know where to start. I called planned parenthood 3 times in the same day and they said they’d take down my message and get back to me by 5 that day. It’s been 2 weeks and I have yet to hear back from PP and yet to receive any sort of care. The testing was fast and easy but don’t expect to receive care beyond your appointment.
This was the WORRRRRST appointment I’ve ever had. LOL a JOKE!!! “ultrasound tech” clearly DID NOT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING smh they were rude as hell would not recommend coming here at all front desk was rude she was dumb didn’t know what she was talking about everyone seemed super lazy and uninterested please don’t go here you can 100% find somewhere better to go. “Told me we don’t do ultrasounds for fun” wow should be fired for that statement ….. wish I could complain to a higher source …
Ive never had good experiences with any planned parenthoods, and decided to give a call for a question I had, receptionist was rude. So this will add to my continued negative experiences with PP, no matter the location.
They gave me an STI test for herpes/Chlamydia/trichomonas/syphilis/HIV/gonorrhea, got blood work done, saw a clinician who talked to me about multiple treatment options, and they gave me a discount card on pharmacy costs for medication.Scheduling was done online and they were available the next day.I didnt have insurance and paid 16$.
I needed to get checked out for some vaginal/cervical issues while out of state. I would recommend this place 100%!The front desk staff and medical assistant were so pleasant and friendly and the OB/GYN Jackie was amazing. I would love to have someone like her as my gyn back home.Thank you for making me feel at ease and helping me understand what was going on. Ill be back here again if I need to be seen while in the area.
I appreciate planned parenthood, been coming here for years. Recently went for an exam. Receptionist was great, nurse assistant was so kind and informative, but the doctor/nurse practitioner was stressed and rough. Not cool.
Simply the best healthcare experience I’ve ever had. All the staff was kind, friendly, and professional. I’m usually a tough stick but Rebecca was able to do a painless draw. I truly cannot express how grateful I am to them for making my visit calm, supportive, and worthwhile. Simply. The. Best.
I’ve always loved planned parenthood but this location does an amazing job. From the check in to the actual appojntment everything was a great experience. Such friendly staff and my provider Cindi was a sweet soul! Thank you for giving great care to your patients.
I had my first visit today and I am quite satisfied. They were running late so I didnt actually get into my appointment until an hour later, but the employees apologized and thanked us while they moved as fast as they could. That was very considerate of them. Once I got in, Nyima (spellcheck) was so sweet and helpful. Afterward, I spoke with Karoline (spellcheck also) and she got me in and out with my prescription! Everyone that works up there is so nice and willing to help and I appreciate them so much for representing Planned Parenthood. People do need to ease up on the wait time. 1. Any clinic can be this way 2. They are really doing their best to have good quality service!!! So give them a break and quit being so demanding. Itd be one thing if they were absolutely rude and gave poor service, but its the exact opposite. This location deserves a better rating.
Staff is rude, lazy, and every single time I’ve had an appointment they are 20+ minutes behind.Last time I had an appointment THEY messed up an appointment due to a “booking error” and wouldn’t see me, or give me a doctors note. Katrina was completely unreasonable and showed no kindesss. Avoid this location.
I cant say enough good things about this place. They have helped me in so many ways, over the years. Testing, general womens health, and now hpv vaccination. When Ive been hard-pressed for money, theyve helped me out, and the quality of care has never faltered. They are caring, listen to your concerns, and make sure that you have all of the information that you may need. And this is why, whenever I *am* able, I donate to Planned Parenthood.Keep up the great work, folks!
First, I have no clue why there are so many negative reviews! They were able to fit me in for an appointment for the next day. Very nice staff, the wait was a bit long, but what do you expect? Ive yet to be at one in & out doctors office so its really no big deal. Overall, I was very satisfied. Ill definitely be back when my birth control prescription expires next year.
I had the worst experience with the clinician Christi in north Austin location. She was rude and I felt hostile with her all the time and she made me come to the clinic every month for blood tests when she initially told me that my labs are normal and I will have to redo it after 6 months. I’m self paid customer so it was a lot for me to pay for labs whenever she told me it’s necessary. Idk how can a clinician can be so horrible towards patient care. Me being a foreign medical graduate I felt bad that she was so rude while talking to me every time. But apart from here all other staff members are so amazing and nice that I would love to give more than 5 stars for their service and dedication to improve patient care specially north Austin clinic manager is amazing and so helpful!
They dont answer the phone. Ive been calling all morning. The website says theyre open but they dont pick up
Andrea and Jackie were amazing ! I could tell they love doing what they do. Definitely one of my best doctors visits ever. Will definitely return to this location!
Staff is fantastic. I highly recommend taking these bad reviews with a grain of salt. They’re going by policy and do what’s best for their patients. They explain everything to you and are so welcoming to everyone. They made me feel safe, and Tonya held my hand when I had my blood drawn even though I’m an adult.
They were so kind and helpful with my questions and concerns. I was so nervous going in but they were so sweet and helped me for my situation. Arrived there about 20 minutes early to sign any paperwork since it was my first time. They called my name and helped me with every questioned I had and were so genuine about it all! It was about 1 hour long for everything due to my questions, blood/urine and checkup. 10/10 recommend coming hereAgain, thank you to the staff for being so sweet and patient!!
The staff is rude. The staff always has an attitude and dirty looks which is not the feeling you want when going into this type of clinic. Wait times are ridiculous, once I waited for FOUR HOURS in the waiting room when it was almost empty. They close certain things down randomly without any notice (we arent doing birth control shots after 4pm today because the nurse left). They never answer the phone no matter how many voicemails you leave- so its really hard to make an appointment or follow up on an appointment youve already had. Do not go to this location and waste your time. Drive over to the south austin location, theyre great and much faster.
I had an appointment at 1115 since I live an hour away I left an hour and 30 whole minutes earlier. Unfortunately, there was an accident on the highway that delayed me a good 40 minutes. When I called to let them know of was going to be late and if I should reschedule she said as long as Im no more than 15 minutes late to just come in. I arrive at 1126 and proceeded fill out paper work. I turned it in and she told me to have a seat. I sat there for 30 minutes thinking Im going to get seen until she calls me up to the window just to tell me that they couldnt honor my appointment because I turned my paperwork in after 1130. They said they already have walk ins and cant see me. I said okay well then but I drove an hour and a half through traffic so Ill just wait and be a walk in and she responded quickly with were booked, bye!. Ive never been so embarrassed or humiliated and disrespected and in a clinic that supposed to help women. Youd think the girls would have some empathy? Theres so many other places to go that will help you financially to see a doctor. Try lone star circle of care or call public health services or 211 for info. These people are horrible and cant be trusted, look at all the other reviews everyone is saying the same thing. Shame on these women for not wanting to help or have empathy for theyre fellow sisters.
Made an appointment for 2:30, showed up at 2:10 and the lady tells me “I’m sorry the clinician you were supposed to see called out today, we’ve been trying to call everyone but unfortunately haven’t gotten to you yet. We’ll be able to reschedule you sometime next week.” She said this like it wasn’t a big deal at all. They should make it a point to call people before their appointment time if there’s an issue (it was not crowded when I got there and she wasn’t on the phone calling anyone). Driving to this clinic is not a short distance for me and it’s absolutely infuriating and unacceptable for them to have people walk in for their appointments just to reschedule them. Not to mention, the earliest they could get me in was the end of the following week.
Do not ever try to go to this location . i went there on 09/28/2018 to get some information about type of birth control for my self ,i scheduled the appointment online and gave them my insurance information . once i got there the front desk staff told me that my insurance company will cover 90 percent of the cost so they took me inside and asked me some question and gave me information about type of birth control no lab work or anything else was done. just for giving some information they charged me $173.70 i asked the front desk lady to explain it to me why i have to pay this amount of money she just refused to explain it to me. i wish there was zero star to give to this location they do not deserve any star at all .
All 4 employees that I interacted with we very nice and communicated clearly. For an appointment at 8:30am, I got in a bit after 9:00am, so you may want to bring a book or headphones if you wont enjoy the wait. For my standard scheduled testing, Im happy to wait patiently for these kind and attentive workers. Its a clean and professional location.
I went in for a annual check up today, I have been seen here once before because I dont have insurance and I had just moved into a new place last weekend. I went in for my appointment today and when the front desk girl asked my if my address was still current I said no and gave her an updated one and then she asked if I had any form of proof of my address. I had told her I just moved in so I will not have any paper copies of any bills until after the first but I can pull up my cable bill on my phone and my gas bill. She said it needed to be a hard copy so I said I could email it to her and she can print it and then she said they dont have an email. If I wanted to go through with the appointment still I could pay almost $200 for it or reschedule. This is absolutely ridiculous considering I took off from work to come and I just moved a week before. Completely unwilling to work with me and I am very very dissapointed.
I had a second biopsy and LEEP procedure done and everyone was so helpful and nice. After reading up on the LEEP (I dont know why I did that... ha) I was terrified but I barely felt anything, for anyone else who may need it! Also, thanks to their amazing funding I paid less than I would have with insurance elsewhere. This place is a godsend and Im so grateful they exist! All of my appointments at this location have been super quick, including the bigger procedures.
I love planned parenthood. I have never had to use their abortion services because of their contraception services. The only concern I have is the wait time for appointments at this location. Its always a minimum of 30 minutes after the appointment time and I choose days that are in the middle of the week.
I come here for my Depo shots and have had an STI test here before too. The staff is always so kind and for a long time my birth control was totally free for me due to the lower income I had at the time. I highly recommend Planned Parenthood for all your reproductive healthcare needs!
Extremely pleasant experience. Hadnt had a pap In 9yrs because they freak me out. Got one here and Heather made it a breeze, barely felt a thing. Very polite. I highly recommend them and will continue to go there from now on.
I called last week both in pain and fear and the woman who answered the phone did not care at all. She just said they were booked until the end of the month. That was all she said, no referral, no compassion.
If I could give zero stars I would. Number one when I called and asked about the cost of my future visit they either knowingly lied or are incompetent. When I arrive it was more than 3 times the cost of what they had told me, talking to me as if I am obscenely ignorant to even believe that could possibly be the cost of what I had inquired about. Then I sat in the exam room for a solid 40 min. no updates. Then they tell me they have phoned in my perscription yet give me no hard copy of said perscription. I leave to go pick it up quote “it will be ready by the time you get there.” Not only was it not ready it had never been sent, confirming this is the fact that I checked under my name as well as a combinations of my first, last, and middle names. These people are at the very least incredibly awful at their jobs or just completely incompetent. Oh I forgot the best part, the next day is a holiday so I cannot contact them to remedy their blunder. ZERO STARS DO NOT GO HERE!!!
I was turned away and they refused to help me because I have insurance (even though it’s just Medicare). I might be pregnant and I’m diabetic and I’m trying to get a confirmation so I can care quicker.
After being told on the phone I would be able to get blood work done here I made an appointment. I live 25 minutes across town. I get here and they tell me they don’t do blood work. So I’ve wasted a day and still have to make an appointment with another company to get my blood work done.
Very inviting girls in the front, got a same day appointment, and was in and out .
Friendly staff, really helpful of your personal needs. If you can’t afford it they will help pay for it. Highly recommend. I cannot thankyou enough, planned parenthood. Godspeed 💕
There is a wait for your appointment (i was aware of this so prepared), but all the staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Wish they had more funding and resources, then perhaps the wait time would be shorter.
Will not return to this location. Staff treated me as if I had zero say/reason to be part of this experience with my minor child. In fact, they went beyond patient privacy and treated me with so much disregard it was repulsive.
I came in without an appointment and filled out some paperwork. They saw me right away and answered all of my questions. Very helpful staff! I had an overall good experience.
Great place to get in and out for getting tested! Positive experience. Wait, not positive for the test, but the place was great! :) You know what I mean! Thanks!
Ive used their services for contraceptives but their wait time is horrible I had waited 40mins to be taken inside and 30 minutes to actually be seen by the nurse
Love Planned Parenthood and all that they do for our communities and nation as a whole. Thank you, PP!
Wait, wait, wait, and then why is it so difficult to provide an appointment in less than 30 days. this isnt health care, its more like die so we dont have to deal with you. must be republican owned and operated
Longest wait time ever.I have been waiting over a hour. The one on 7st has a much better staff and the wait time is not more than 10 mins.
Im on
Staff is friendly and very helpful, been here twice now and each time has been pleasant. Love this office
Very trans and trauma friendly. They were super patient and understanding and validating.
Doctor and staff were VERY kind and took their time to answer all the questions I had.
Could not be more grateful. They are very kind and imformative.
Literally... Is there only ONE person working here? Why the hell are they so slow and the wait so long?
Really helpful clinic I recomend to go to this location :)
All of the workers were extremely helpful and knowledgable.
It is planned parenthood
Speed, excellent service, accurate information. Wonderful people work at this branch. I recommend them!!!!
They dont answer the phone
