AND ANOTHER THING STOP SHOWING ALL VIOLENT MOVIES AMONST TESTES THAT ARE EASILY PROVOKED BY IMMATURITY IN THE WORKPLACE....THE FACT THAT I BELIEVE THIS WILL BE DELETED AND DANCED AROUND WITH MORE DISTRACTIONS THIS PLACE NEEDS NO MORE ATTN. THE STAFF IS working by the shift and even clicking up and turning a blind eye to belongings coming up missing.(ex.) we wont look at the camera for you but backtrack and look for there booty bunkies worst VISIT IVE EVER HAD ON THIS VISIT BACK TO TEXAS. IM TIRED OF THE opportunistic REALITY OF My so called peers, AND OTHERS AROUND ME ACTUALLY TRUTH BE TOLD I WILL TAKE THIS HIGHER BUT THIS IS AS PASSIVE AS I CAN BE FOR NOW ON. THINGS CAN REALLY BECOME DANGEROUS FOR ANYONE WHEN YOU ARE NOT PROPERLY TRAINED TO HANDLE SO CALLED HOMELESS AND MENTAL PATIENTS.they should hope salvation army isnt shut down before IT OPENS WITH the staff the bay area ais hiring and the favorites they are playing out here in texas. I BELIEVE THE STAFFs NEEDs A COMPETENCY TEST ON TOP OF LEARNING TO KEEP THEiR PERSONAL BUSINESS TO THEMSELVES. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL FOR SOMEONE THAT COLLECTS A CHECK SPONSORED BY DIFFRENT OUTLETS. Ive been hired for 10 dollars less in worst states and ecoenemies than this.

Poor people jail. Unfit for human habitation. Multi-hour waits for everything. Bed bugs. Every morning, staff wakes people up and kicks them back out into the street several hours before dawn, practically the middle of the night. (Like chronic sleep deprivation is helpful for rebuilding a life). Its extremely difficult to get a locker for storage, practically guaranteeing a person will be out of mainstream society and on the streets for months (losing their mind the whole time) before they can go to a job interview without an overstuffed backpack. More expensive to run than simply housing every person who stays there on a given night.Despite compelling evidence for the opposite approach, out of touch management at the ARCH believes strongly in the notion that treating people badly is the best way to help them. Starve them, move them along, make sure they cant get enough sleep... They tell you to give your money to their massive bureaucracy, that its wasted if it goes to helping a person directly. That helping is hurting. Weve had years of that. Does anyone really believe the problem has gotten better?

Dont go there with a strong voice or distress or crying I was desperate and I guess my voice tone was loud I was told I cant come there ever and I was given a false reason. I am living outside with our their help. So it made me give one star I guess thats appropriate for what they do for others

This place is infested with bedbugs on all three floors in the mats, as well the lockers on the 3rd floor. This place isnt fit too be open, and the staff can be rude or muniplative at times. They also kick everyone out of the building at 10:30am for lunch and dont come back in no matter what the weather may be. And on Tuesday at 2pm youre kicked out until 5:15pm that depends on the manager that day. If youre homeless and planning on coming to Austin, Tx. All I can tell you is to think about it first, listen to a true home grown Austinite born and raised that has experienced the ARCH.

I believe all individuals are created equal and everyone should be provided with food and shelter. What I don’t agree with is the migration of hundreds upon hundreds of transients coming into the city sitting at every street corner begging. Don’t EVER walk passed here they are selling and doing drugs all day long. They need to relocate this place.

Very poor. You cant even get to the front door to ask them questions about their services without being bombarded with a hundred people asking you for money in a typically very aggressive manner. Not warm or inviting...

I am truly blessed to be here in Austin and receive the help i need. Im from San Antonio and i lost my home and business and everything i owned and 1 man and 3 dogs to a devastating fire. And my husband saved another man that has been a dear person to me for almost 30 years. Redcross sent vouchers forreplacement eyewear here to a family members address and upon coming to get the voucher and the most needed eyewear, we have been blessed by the amount of help this city has offered. Here we were able to get an identification card to help get our licenses back. And we also got a map card for being able to get physician care as well at a most affordable rate. Austin has alot of similarities to San Antonio. However i didnt receive this kind of help. I have met people along the way with economical disadvsntages , as i have endured, and each directing me to other paths of assistance. I just wanted to get my social security card and my drivers kicense but not having either i was having great difficulties. I was seen quickly and attentively. Thank you to Dante with the map program and thank you to Michael with the Arch card assistance and all the informative people that took time to listen and respond so graciously. This city is quite a wonder and i will forever be greatful and am considering this to be my new place of residence. Thank you more than i can ever express. No matter what your disadvantage is , you will receive the help you need. Speak and you will be heard. Seek and you will find. You can begin to rebuild with the advantage of such a giving community.
