I want to express my deepest gratitude for the outstanding care the staff have provided me at Renaissance. Your expertise, compassion, and dedication have truly made a difference during my pregnancy and postpartum journey. I am incredibly thankful for the time and attention youve given to ensure my health and well-being.Your kindness and professionalism have been a source of comfort and reassurance, and I feel fortunate to have Dr Wheeler as my doctor. Everyone supports each other at this office and you could not ask for better care. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for myself and our growing family. With sincere appreciation,Suggs Family
!!Avoid this place at all cost!! It takes hours to try and even get anyone on a phone and they never call back when a message is left. I made my initial appointment here for first pregnancy in April and was scheduled with Dr. Tong, I felt like I wasn’t took seriously and she was completely dismissive of my pregnancy, none of my questions were ever answered, and she had horrible bedside manner, so rude and blunt. I always left my appointments with more unanswered questions than what I went in with. unfortunately for me I continued to see her for prenatal appointments until I recently found an AMAZING Dr at another practice that actually listens to patient concerns and answers questions. If you are looking for a Dr that cares this place isn’t it and I recommend seeking care elsewhere!
Feb 2024 - I used Renaissance and Dr.Truitt again to deliver my 4th baby and what I hoped would be my last. Unfortunately, this proved to be my worst experience with Renaissance as a group. From not being willing to schedule me for issues they deemed “unrelated to pregnancy,” to poor scheduling, to extremely unprofessional Nurse behavior, to trouble reaching Dr.Truitt during my labor, and again absolutely abysmal scheduling. From my first prenatal appointment, the primary point raised at every prenatal appointment was Dr.Truitt and I discussing permanent sterilization (bilateral salpingectomy). Dr.Truitt and I discussed at nearly every appointment that I would have a bilateral salpingectomy scheduled for 6 weeks postpartum. I begged for 4 weeks, as another provider had been willing to do, but settled for the 6 week postpartum as Dr.Truitt had advised for fewer complications. I put my forms in for it twice to be sure all the documentation was ready by the time I delivered and there would be no hangups there.I called Renaissance the day I delivered to ensure I would be on the schedule for my salpingectomy at 6 weeks postpartum, however, Renaissance then informed me that actually I couldn’t possibly schedule with them until I was 6 weeks postpartum. So at 6 weeks postpartum I called again, requesting scheduling for my salpingectomy, and was told someone would call me back. No one ever called. I called again and again, requesting to be scheduled for my surgery, only to be told the earliest they would schedule me would be 10 weeks postpartum. I waited and waited, no calls ever came.Frustrated, I gave up with Renaissance - who clearly was not going to ever perform my salpingectomy I had been promised. 6 months, yes, 6 months postpartum they finally call me to schedule my salpingectomy- and they want me to do the surgery the very next WEEK! I no longer had childcare for my 4 children under 4 years old by this point, very careful and explicit planning had been done with Dr.Truitt to ensure I would have accommodations for childcare by 6 weeks postpartum, when I was supposed to have my salpingectomy originally. After this, they began calling what felt like daily to either schedule for a salpingectomy, or now, to schedule me for a contraindicated IUD with my uterine condition. They did offer to make arrangements for my children to come to this appointment, which I appreciate, but unfortunately at this point I’m already pregnant again with what will now be my 5th child - 5 under 5 years old.So I’ve called Renaissance, again, to schedule my prenatal appointment. According to my apps, my last period was June 17th. They can’t get me an appointment until October 15th. I’m suffering from the worst morning sickness I’ve ever had, but Renaissance will not provide any anti-nausea medication(s) until they see me in October and will not move my appointment up.Suffering from severe morning sickness and unable to get any relief until October. This is a relatively small complaint in comparison to the fact my salpingectomy was never scheduled despite an entire pregnancy of planning.Review was too long, so read my photos for full review of this practice.
This place has gone downhill. First pregnancy it was fine, 3 years later and it’s different. First, your results on the portal don’t show up, even though the staff says it’s there. I’m very tech savvy so it’s annoying to call and ask for them to email me the results every time. Second, the communication is very poor I had to call them to let them know I needed my anatomy scan to be redone. No one called to tell me, I had to figure it out on my own by looking at the notes on my results. And lastly, I showed up for my 22 week appt only to wait 40 minutes and no doctor ever showed up in the room, so I left. Very neglectful OB office.
I cant understand the negative reviews - Ive gone to renaissance for 15 years - Although within the last couple of years, they were bought out, I switched from Dr. Collins leaving the practice just to do OB to Dr. Mills as my current OB. Im currently pregnant with my second, and Dr. Mills is by far the most caring and compassionate provider! I wont go anywhere else!
I’ve been a patient with this practice for over 5 years and have had a very positive experience here up until recently. Lately, it seems like the staff is very overwhelmed. I also have concerns about the phone system and communication. I tried to call a few weeks ago and the phones were completely down for more than 24 hours! I was on hold yesterday and asked to leave a voicemail for a call back, but no one called me back. I was finally able to get through to them the following day and the nurse I spoke with had an annoyed tone from the very start of the call (I attribute this to being overworked). I feel for the staff here, it seems like they’re being overworked along with having to deal with an unreliable phone system. This is a recipe for disgruntled staff and patients. I challenge the management to truly reflect on the many poor reviews here on Google. Your patients and staff deserve better — I’m sad to say that I’m in the process of looking for a new practice.
I loved Dr Gutierrez with my first pregnancy so wanted to go back to her again despite the 1 hr drive, my husband also had to get off work early to look after our daughter while I went to my first appt. I told the front desk lady that I had insurance but they didn’t send a benefit card she said she needed a card with name & said I wouldn’t be seen unless I paid $950 out of pocket. I leave then come back with a picture of my husbands benefit card which has id#, group#, & states it’s family insurance. When she saw me again her attitude had changed, She said unless it had my name she couldn’t pull it up with that information. I used to have Tricare & that’s how they also had to get my insurance, with my husbands information & there was never a problem then. I called a new clinic & guess what, they pulled up my insurance with just my general information & what my husbands benefit card had. It seems like they just didn’t want to help me out since they had a full waiting room. I was excited to go back to Dr Gutierrez but after that I rather not show up there. Not only did I waste gas to drive there & back home (2hrs) , my husband lost hours of work, & we waited 2 weeks for this first prenatal appt just to go back home in less then 10 mins.
Phenomenal care here. Doctor Patel is amazing and I truly trust her completely. Yes, wait times can be annoying but that’s just what happens when you see dedicated doctors who care about each patient.
I will start by saying that I really like my doctor, Dr. McLeod. Ive seen her for about 4 or 5 years.I was pregnant and went into preterm labor at 25 weeks. I called the office and talked to a nurse twice the morning I was experiencing labor pains and passed my mucus plug. The things I described to the nurse on the phone should have alerted her that I was in labor. I ended up at the hospital that night, 3cm dilated. Its incredible to me that the nurse did not recommend going in for a check. I wonder if she was actually a nurse who deals with pregnant people. After birth, I had a few checkups in the office, with appointments. Each time, I was either forgotten about in the waiting room, or in a patient room. Over 45 minutes waiting. One of the last appointments was to have my c-section incision examined because it swelled up and started draining, 5 weeks post partum. The doctor that finally saw me, after being left in a patient room for an hour, in the part of the office with no lights on, was extremely dismissive. She was mad that I called it an abscess, and told me I am having issues because of my weight and age. No bedside manner at all. Imagine being told that, 5 weeks postpartum, with a baby still in the NICU. I just wanted be checked to make sure it wasnt a larger issue or infected.I will find a new practice, which is unfortunate because I really like Dr. McLeod.
Doctor Truitt is truly the best. Ive been seeing her for 7 years and I cannot express how grateful I am to have found her. She cares, is super nice, and will help you in any and every way possible. I dont know why I havent written a review sooner!
Do Not Go Here. You will be mislead if you can even get ahold of someone. They will not read your chart from any other Office. They will misquote you. They will order additional blood work that is not needed and then when you get the bill the Manager will tell you its not Renaissance women group’s fault, while you are stuck with a $1,500.00 bill. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR BABY! You will be treated better and be more informed. They will take money away from your babys mouth.
Scheduled my first ever appointment here and was nervous due to reviews and I should have listened! Firstly, they scheduled my appointment for the Bastrop location with a different practitioner than I agreed to after I confirmed about 5 times making the appointment which office and doctor I would prefer. Then they call to tell me this and I miss the call by (not even joking) 5 seconds so I immediately call back to get the issue resolved. I got put on hold for 37 minutes! I tried to stick it out but nobody answered, not even to say sorry for the wait and put me back on hold. Nobody has called back. Just honestly a horrible experience for a young person who has never been to the OBGYN. This experience makes me never want to go to one EVER!!!!
THIS PLACE SUCKS SOOOOOO BAD!! I already had a terrible experience here at my first appointment, which you can read about below. Despite my better judgment, I returned today for my follow up appointment. I arrived to the front office staff saying my doctor is out and that they had called me weeks ago trying to reschedule. I received no such call or voicemail. Please, for your own benefit choose ANY other OB/GYN in the greater Austin area.I came for an IUD removal and insertion and asked for information about a paracervical block, which is frequently used to help with the pain of this procedure. My MA, Stacy, was super dismissive and patronizing about my request, saying things like “Oh we don’t do that for this” as though this is such a big ask (it’s not) My PC was able to figure it out and the procedure went fine, but overall very disappointed in my experience. They are literally inserting an object into an organ in your body with no localized pain management. Women deserve to know about their options in pain management and not have to succumb to the internalized misogyny of the medical world.
Edited to add: I called the phone number for the practice manager and left a voicemail and I have yet to receive a call back.I have continued to receive a bill postpartum that I’ve paid and Renaissance made an error that is not being corrected. The last thing I need with a 3 month old is being hounded over bills I’ve paid.
I scheduled my initial appointment with Dr. Wheeler in March, for May 9th. On May 7th, I received notice that my appointment would have to be rescheduled. I rescheduled for today, June 11th. 45 minutes before my appointment, I was told again that it would have the be rescheduled. Now the next available appointment across any provider in the clinic is not until August. I understand emergencies happen and doctors have to be called into surgery, I work in healthcare as well. But waiting from March until August for an appointment is ridiculous, on top of the wasted days off work when I do not receive PTO.
I would not recommend this practice. It is impossible to get ahold of anyone on the phone, they dont call you back if you leave a message, they are extremely slow to answer questions in the patient portal, and if they do call you back they are irritated with you, rush through your questions, and dont give you any care. I am being seen for a specific condition, requiring follow ups and frequent communication with my doctor. I cannot get in to the office in a timely manner and if I do, its usually not with my doctor because theyre too booked out. I have felt disrespected, overlooked, and unseen by this practice and I would not wish that on any other patient going through the same things as me.
This review is a result of my continued inability to reach anyone at their offices. I was seen here for 2 years. When it came time for my last check up I was unable to get a timely appt. That was almost 5 months ago. Since then I have been unable to get a copy of my prior imaging and reports. I cannot access my records through the patient portal, nor their new app because there is no record of me as a patient. I gave tried repeatedly to reach someone by phone however the service they use continues to say their offices are currently closed even though I call only during their stated hours. It doesnt matter the time of day or day of the week. I have left messages, but have received no call back. Today I finally reached someone by pressing the option for the nurse only to be transferred to a line that rang and rang, I counted 25 rings before I finally hung up. If anyone at the practice reads this please contact me! My current doctor needs my prior images and imaging reports for comparison. I feel that it is extremely irresponsible, not to mention inconsiderate, when a physicians office fails to provide patients a viable means of reaching them.
I discontinued care with another doctor once I had a CONFIRMED appointment here. Twice now they have called (via a recording) to tell me that I need to reschedule. First in December and now the rescheduled appointment in January. Tried to call today and it seems their phone is not working. I am about to run out of hormones and everyone including the provider I was hoping to leave cannot see me until March or after. The least they can do is call and have a conversation if they need to reschedule.ETA: The doctors a great... once you get in to see them. They still rarely answer the phone.
If you wish to never get an appointment this is the place to signup. Extremely rude scheduling staff. They have more patients than they can handle. Running a factory instead of a clinic. Do not expect to be treated like a human with medical needs. Believe all the reviews here.
Go ahead and take the full day off if you have any appointment here. Patients are getting appointment confirmation reminders day before only to find out they aren’t scheduled after arriving due to a “NEW system”. I don’t understand how the business function could screw up a system conversion.. it’s not that hard to reconcile data between systems. This is sloppy and means you have to wait a few hours to hopefully get squeezed in. Lots of patients in the same boat. Feel bad for the receptionist having to explain the system issue to multiple patients. Please shut off the old system reminders if they aren’t legitimate anymore… at least 9 patients in line to check in.
Called to get information for a new patient seens it would be out pocket and ALEXISWAS THE RUDES PERSON all am going to say if you don’t like answering questions don’t work there is not the place for you all take my business els were if they let front desk talk the way she did I cud not imagine the rest of the clinic .
Waited for nearly an hour before I asked if it was a normal wait time. Was told there was still someone ahead of me. Very inconsiderate of our time. I left and will not return.Update: Contacted Shauna’s reply, waiting for response/resolution.
Man it is so BAD!!Hard work getting hold of anyone.Surprise billing almost 1 year after appointment, can’t speak to anyone that is allowed to access the account. Very unhelpful and annoying. Would recommend avoiding this place.
I’m a patient here first time mommy and I really love this place and its staff because they are very welcoming. However, every time Im done with my bloodwork and I call the nurses on the phone to go over my results, it always feels rushed and pushy. I want to discuss my labs clearly and have additional questions, but it seems like they are always in a hurry. I understand that they are busy, but I dislike feeling rushed when it comes to discussing my vitamin deficiency for both myself and my baby. I truly hope they can improve in this area because I want to fully enjoy my experience at this place. I always feel stressed when I have to call and discuss my labs just to know where I stand health-wise.
Dr. Mills is overall very kind, but I had switched practices as you can’t get ahold of the office. I also had issues that I had mentioned to Dr. Mills, but they were always covered by birth control and never really investigated.Turns out my new gyno did an ultrasound and found abnormalities within the first 10 min of being her patient. She also listened to me about my issues and did a lap and discovered that I have endometriosis (I had mentioned the possibility to Dr. Mills before, but she didn’t think it was reasonable for me to think that).I understand the doubts Dr. Mills might have had since I am a young adult with no children, but in this case I was right and had a lot of pain and issues that went ignored for 5 years. She’s a kind doctor, and very smart. But she wasn’t the doctor for me.
I have seen many poor reviews but my story is quite different. I was not approved for insurance until I was 6 months pregnant and of course, no one would take me... except Renaissance. I understand this is rare and on a case by case basis, but I called on a Friday after I had an appointment for a month scheduled with ARC who suddenly cancelled and they scheduled me for the next week. I was there all day the first day bc I had my nurse education hour, met my doctor, had all my labs including glucose test and an anatomy ultrasound. I felt completely cared for and confident in my team. Unfortunately wait times depend on procedures or deliveries that come up so docs travel in between NAMC and the office. I never minded waiting because the care is, was and always will be exceptional. thank you to Tori, Dr. Patel, Dr. Mills and all of the front desk staff.
I have been a patient here for some time and typically visit for my annual exam and was open to see any of the NPs. This time I expressed that a medication they gave me for irregular periods caused me other health issues and I was told that was not possible and this is the only medication to force a period. I informed the DR I was working with my primary and that it was indeed causing the blood pressure issues and was told again no that couldn’t be and that I should just lose weight because I was fat, that would solve it because it is not what they gave me. No discovery questions were asked because the DR was rushing to get to the next patient and completely disregarding my concerns. This is unacceptable, not to mention rude!I was told they are moving and changing names so keep this in mind! Make sure you find someone who is the right fit for you and HEARS you!
I am pretty disgusted by how much this office pushed genetic testing. At my first appointment the doctor asked me about it, and I politely declined as results of genetic testing would not change any of our decisions. When she came back in, she continued to ask me about it. At my second appointment, they asked me again. When I declined, they just asked me again in a different way. I am guessing they push it because it is an easy money maker for them and there is also likely an agenda behind why the would want genetic testing to be done. If a patient declines something, they do not need to be asked 3 more times about it. This approach only serves to instill fear and anxiety which is the opposite of what a woman needs to have a healthy pregnancy.
Ive been with them for over 20 years. The doctors are great, but since switching to Womens Health Texas, its all about money, not patient care. I scheduled my yearly exam months ago and then received an automated call and email that my appointment is being canceled and for ME to call to reschedule. Its impossible to speak to anyone without a huge wait. If they need to cancel, THEY should have the courtesy of calling and speaking directly to the patient, not put that burden on the patient.
There were lots of negative reviews here, these fellows paid large money to remove those negative reviews, if you see my reply here just run away from here. My wife pregnancy they treated just like playground. She was in pregnancy for 48hours and her infection increased still they did not tell anything to go for C-section. I made decision to put pressure on them. After C-section her wounds did not recover for 5 weeks, so I admitted her in emergency, so those on call doctors called these fellows there, one of this doctor was angry one why I admitted in emergency so I argued with them there I dont need your permission and i gave doctors in emergency these people are worst. i posted my feedback at that time these fellwos removed, not just mine they removed many negative feedback. if you care about your loved one life, just run from here.
Shauna reached out to me to get things squared away and was absolutely awesome! I didnt realize there were different sides to the office. My experience on Dr. Neymens side has not been very comforting thus far and so I may switch to this side of care if I continue to have issues. Im trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems like they are in a totally different world compared to Shaunas side of things.
My whole pregnancy I went to these OBs, and one of them (not one I had ever seen before) delivered my baby. Overall, they are incredibly disorganized. They didnt care at all about my concerns and had horrible bedside manner. Now, I went to them with an ovarian cyst that sent me to the ER with pain, and they told me to come back in 8 WEEKS if Im still in pain then.WHEN I TRIED TO CALL THE NUMBER PROVIDED IN THE REPLY TO THIS REVIEW, IT SAID THE NUMBER HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED. Yall need to get it together.
I have been using this office since September for my pregnancy, and it was great up until the recent switch to St Davids health network. I am late 3rd trimester and cannot ever get anyone on the phone. The scheduling phone line, and the nurses phone line both ring a couple of times and go straight to voicemail. The office staff is great and the doctors/NP have all been fantastic, but its stressful not being able to contact a nurse or anyone at the office easily. Appointments are also auto cancelled on their end sometimes (which is understandable), and with the scheduling line constantly going straight to voicemail, it makes it very difficult to reschedule your appointment. The app is also not great, the provider Im using isnt even available for me to book appointments with through the app at this point, so I can only schedule new appointments in person at the office.I just wouldnt recommend the practice to anyone right now, until at least the phones are fixed.
I’m not sure what happened to this practice. I started seeing them during my second pregnancy and it was wonderful. Loved my doctor and the nurses and staff were always great. Getting appointments scheduled was easy, all very smooth. For my current pregnancy, my experience has been very different. It’s nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone to talk with in person. Scheduling and rescheduling is like pulling teeth because of this. Yesterday and today they have closed their phone lines and patient portal messaging. I needed to cancel my appointment (and did so via text message response after the automated message asking me to confirm or cancel), and they sent an auto message to me saying I needed to call or go through the patient portal to reschedule. I don’t know how I’m supposed to do that when there is no option to message or even leave a voicemail. Today I’m calling other OBGYN practices as this is just absurd. This doesn’t make me feel confident in their practice and management. I’m sure this review will receive the same auto response all the other one star reviews have received in the last six months. Very disappointing.
Leaving my previous post below (for context of this updated post) I got a call today to schedule my appointment. The person I talked to was very kind and explained that through their transition of being bought they lost a lot of staff and currently only have one person answering/returning calls. She also mentioned that the staff is working on weekends trying to get to everyone. They are in the process of hiring more people, and are doing the best they can. I appreciated that they called me back, and it’s hard when you are short staffed. I love my dr (Gutierrez) and will be patient as they work through this crazy time of adjustment.(Previous post) It has been a nightmare trying to get a hold of anyone here. I had an appointment and needed to reschedule and called and left messages, and never heard back. Its been over a month now and I still have not been able to get a hold of anyone. I also tried calling the office manager, whose info was posted in another review, and the call never goes through. I am so frustrated. I love my doctor, but I cant get through to anyone to make an appointment with her. I cant even imagine what its like for those who are pregnant or dealing with any health issues. Id recommend my doctor, but since you cant get anyone to answer a phone or return a message, or respond to your request online, Id highly recommend looking else where.
Do them and yourselves a favor by choosing another clinic...The doctors are great but the front office is a mess. If I had to guess its an issue with the owners of the facility, not the actual people in the front office. Generally, besides the service provided by the doctors, weve been disappointed in our experience with this clinic. An example, when they call to cancel your appointment you receive an automated message and youre forced to call back to reschedule. You then call the facility, are put on hold for 15 minutes, then are hung up on without having had the chance to speak with someone.I must believe that the people that own the clinic are fine with providing a bad experience because they are at capacity and need less patients. Either that or they cant hire anyone and have been short staffed.Either way, do them a favor and go to another clinic.
Made appt for Nov, after months of waiting. Got an automated msg a day before cancelling. Called again, that is a ordeal in itself. Now first available is Feb. Dr Mills requested an ultrasound, now the scheduler says its been too long and she needs to see me first. Been going there for years and very disappinted with corporate like approach. Terrible service.
Just unbelievable care and service! Their website says that they offer full range of obstetrician services for all patients. So I recently relocated, pregnant and called their office requesting appointments letting them know that I want to give birth at St. David’s N Austin Med Center. And they told me that they do not take patients who are this late in their pregnancy, 32 weeks… they couldn’t give me options or who to go to after, just nothing! That’s how much they care about patients… my recommendation for your marketing team. is to then update your website to clearly state which stages of pregnancies you accept and who you accept because right now it’s very misleading. I called st. David’s main line to inform them of this, and they were in complete shock! That this is not the way we should be cherry picking our patients…
I had an IUD placed in 2021. I was told to take some ibuprofen at home beforehand and that I could drive myself to and from the appointment. The procedure was incredibly painful. I ended up vomiting from the pain and was unable to drive myself home and I could not work for 3 days. I was not given any additional pain meds or monitored after. I thought this was typical, but after talking with friends and others who have had an IUD inserted who did not have as much pain, I realized it is not normal. Women deserve better. I would not recommend this center to any women. If men can get pain management and be anesthetized for a 5 minute vasectomy, the women should also be given that same standard of care.
EDIT: communication has improved. I haven’t had any issues contacting anyone recently, so I’m glad they figured it out.Let me start by saying I really like the provider I see, but the office management, or lack there of, is absurd. Communication by this practice is practically nonexistent. I haven’t been able to reach anyone over the phone, whether it’s to schedule an appointment or talk with a nurse. It’s extremely frustrating to go through a pregnancy with no clear line of communication with your OBGYN. If I wasn’t so far along, I’d switch practices, no matter how much I liked the provider. My appointments have been cancelled on their end the day before (and even same day), and I receive an automated message asking me to call the office to reschedule. First off, if they are needing to cancel for an unexpected reason, someone from the practice should reach out to reschedule; not ask you to call them. Second off, it wouldn’t be a big deal if this only happened once. However, it’s happened multiple times, so much so that my appointment has been cancelled when I’m at the clinic in the waiting room waiting to be called back. Third off, it’s impossible to reach anyone, so how am I expected to reschedule? I’ve tried calling, leaving voicemails, and sending a reschedule request on the portal, all with no response. If I have another pregnancy, I more than likely won’t return. It’s nerve wracking to navigate a pregnancy with minimal guidance, especially when you have pre-existing conditions that affect delivery and baby.
Let me start by saying I am completely disappointed in this office. I had tests run on Tuesday. I had the results first thing Wednesday morning. I called to ask what the doctor would like to do and was told the doctor needs to review and they will call me back. Okay no problem. I called Thursday to ask for an update. I was told she still hasn’t looked at them. I said okay that’s fine. I messaged the patient portal Friday morning for an update. I was told my tests results were marked urgent and I would have an answer today since I had been waiting. I received no call or message so I sent a follow up message at 3:40 ish because I knew they closed at 5 and I didn’t wanna be that patient that calls at the end of shift. It is now 5:30 and no response or anything. The fact that I have no answers and have anxiety through the roof because “we don’t know” or “the doctor will have to talk to you about that” is the ONLY answers I can get when asking what could be wrong with me. I have been trying for a baby for 10 YEARS and this is the very first time I’ve had a very clear positive and had blood work done to confirm to only get told we just don’t know what’s happening. No one cares about how it effects you because at the end of the day they are just there to collect a pay check. I suggest looking elsewhere to find a facility that cares about their patients and not just the number. Best wishes to all of you looking for your next doctor!
Oh man, I am heartbroken for this practice. The doctors are incredible, the front desk staff is friendly and helpful, but they have made a dire mistake in whatever they have done with their messaging and phone lines. I picked 4 stars because they were with me through 2 pregnancies and deliveries and were just incredible, and that deserves recognition. That said, at this moment, I cannot recommend this practice. They are unreachable! I think it is clear yall need to switch portal messaging back on, right? Dont stick to this we are trying a new phone and messaging system and hope to have employees trained soon shtick, because the switch has clearly failed horribly and you are losing patients left and right. I would say all this on the phone but you know how that goes. 🥺A lot of people are blaming the front desk staff but I bet this decision came from higher up and I promise you they are frustrated and horrified by the experience patients are having. Small comfort to the others whose stories are now plastered in the Google reviews.
My only complaint is when I was trying to find the suite I walked into the ultrasound suite and asked if I was in the right place. In the middle of her telling me what Suite I should be in, the young lady at the front desk (blonde with white framed glasses) stopped talking to me to continue her conversation with her co-worker like I wasnt standing there. Very unprofessional. Everything else was amazing. I will be returning.
I have been a patient at Renaissance Womens Group for over 15 years. I called to make an appointment a few days ago and the front office line rings twice and then goes straight to voicemail. You are forced to leave a voicemail for a call back. I have been waiting for a call to schedule an appointment for over 2 days. Something is going on with this company. I work in healthcare and this is no way to treat your patients even if you are implementing a new phone system and patient record system. There is no excuse for this even if the above is true. I also tried to send a message to my doctor and the portal says that patient messages have been turned off. There is literally no way to get through to them. It is a shame because the providers here are very good. Very sad to leave this practice, but I have no choice.
I was recently in a car accident and needed to make a follow up appointment with my dr after my release from the hospital, but every time I tried to call their phone systems were down. I left a voicemail hoping someone would call me back quickly but they did not. A few days later, I was finally able to get in touch with someone, but every time I tried to explain my schedule the person on the phone was rude and not willing to help me. I explained to her that I can not miss any more work and she said doesnt your job understand that youre pregnant? they need to be more flexible. Once she even said with a very rude attitude well when CAN you come in? after I explained that I would need a morning appointment. It took me multiple phone calls and a few days to finally be able to get on the schedule. I was transferred to a nurse to help with the scheduling and when she answered the phone she said Im a nurse, why would they transfer you to me? As if it was my decision or my fault. I felt that nobody cared that I was trying to make this appointment after a car accident and all I wanted was reassurance from my doctor. The tone of every person I have spoken to over the phone while trying to get my appointment scheduled was like I was inconveniencing them. A patient should never be spoken to the way I was, or made to feel unimportant like I was. I dont even want to go to my next appointment because I feel like this place does not care about me or my pregnancy.
Had such a great experience here, the Dr. Was so compassionate and empathetic! A very easy experience! My only complaint is that before my appointment, I was send the same email reminder about the appointment 12 times, I received at least 5 calls in regards to my appointment, all after having long confirmed and virtually checked in, and it got -really- annoying. After my appointment, I’ve received the same email 8 times now in regards to my single test result, and I ended up blocking them because it was getting ridiculous… you guys are great, but phew. Tone down the spam a little 😅
Really disappointed with this place and I havent even been yet! I booked a new patient appointment a little over two months in advance (as that was their soonest availability). Today I randomly get an email that my appointment has been cancelled, this is 1.5 week notice. They didnt bother to call and personally talk to me and explain the cancellation and offer to reschedule. So I call and find out they cancelled because the doctor has a procedure that afternoon now, which happens. So I ask if I can get an appointment rescheduled for ASAP since Ive already waited two months for this one. They tell me that they dont have any openings for another two months!!Its just really frustrating to wait this long just for them to cancel on me and not try their best to get me in sooner. My health is a priority and it just doesnt feel like reciprocate those feelings. They should really block off appointment times for situations like these because my health should not be ignored and bumped back due to sloppy scheduling.
My first pregnancy with them was perfect. Short office wait times, scheduling was rock solid. Now scheduling an appointment is like pulling teeth. First I had a prenatal appointment scheduled for 4 weeks out. Then it was canceled last minute due to weather. Tried calling the next opening day to reschedule asap. No answer, lines down. Wait on hold for 20 minutes and end up sent to voicemail. Ill probably have to wait another 2-4 weeks for my 1st prenatal check and will be in 2nd trimester by then. Good luck getting an appointment.
Ive only had to come here for 3 appointments so far and only one has been semi successful. The first appointment was the ultrasound and we get there 30 minutes early but have to wait 2 hours to be seen because they claim they got a text saying our appointment was canceled. Second appointment, we get there 10-15 min late and then we have to wait an hour to be seen, but cant be seen by the doctor so we have to schedule another appointment. Third, we get there 10 min early, but the doctor cant see us because shes in surgery so we have a hour wait. I understand that doctors are on call but the chain of events was ridiculous enough to make us want to switch offices. The nurses were friendly so they get one star. I hate leaving reviews but I feel it should be known when bad service is given to help others avoid the inconveniences.
Would rate less if I could, these people are lower than trash, my wife called me after leaving, crying in tears and in extreme pain from some doctor performing work while she was awake and caused more damage than when she arrived, said they couldnt complete the procedure and still charged me 700$, they will be hearing from me and my lawyer if this is not resolved, I am beyond livid, I am demanding that whoever the big boss of this institution is contact me immediately. Their mistake has a chance of causing my wife to no longer be able to have children and if that happens because of their mistake I will be coming in full legal force.
I went to this practice for quite awhile, but towards the end they kept cancelling my appointments. I would get a text simply stating it had been cancelled with no explanation and to call and reschedule. When youd call the appointment would easily be months out. It affected my ability to stay on track with my BC. This happened twice. Practice is too big - dont recommend.
I loved my doctor, Dr. Patel, but the office is horrible. Everytime Ive ever scheduled they cancel on me without reason and it takes forever for me to reschedule with them, when theyre the ones that canceled. I scheduled my annual and they canceled on me in February with no reason and it took me over 2 hours on the phone to reschedule. I was on my way to my appointment on Friday and they called me ON MY WAY 15 mins before, and canceled on me. The office staff told me should would call back in an hour to reschedule and she never did. I called back after 2 hours of waiting and no one answered and I left a voice mail. Still havent received a return call and its been 4 days. Then I get an email that my appointment was completed. With who? Wasnt me cause they canceled on me. I have found a new doctor and office. This office is horrible, I loved my doctor but to go through this everytime I try to get in is ridiculous. I called for an appointment last year and they told me I couldnt get in for 6 MONTHS. Save your energy and dont even bother calling them because they will never call you back or answer their phones.
Not sure what is going on but my health has been put on the back burner and seems like others are too. I’ve had a miscarriage during thanksgiving and been heavily bleeding off and on for the last month. When I first started here Dr. Truitt and her staff were on top of things from my last miscarriage even got me in to see a fertility doctor, but this time around I feel as though they don’t care. I have messaged the patient portal as they like and I’ve received NOTHING on what to do about the bleeding and if I need a procedure don’t to stop it. I called and the nurse has no clue what to say just keeps saying my doctor is out. She’s been out seems like since October. Which is fine if she’s no longer there refer someone else to me, that simple. I get the understaffed and I’m trying to be patient but it’s been over a month since I’ve talked to someone even remotely under Dr. Truitt and my issues. This is a serious matter and there could be health complications if not treated and no one can call, message or tell me what to do.
Dr. Gutierrez is the most empathetic and kind doctor I’ve ever met. She cares deeply about her patients and listens intently to whatever problem you have, no matter how small. She makes sure your comfortable during any procedure. When I switched out my old IUD I told her about the trauma I experienced with my old doctor and she made sure I was comfortable and cared for. I’ve never met any doctor better than her. Seriously, consider having her as your doctor. You won’t be sorry.
So sad to see how downhill this place has gone. I have been going here for almost 12 years, recently had to switch offices because of how terrible the customer service here is. They do not answer the phone, dont call you back, do not answer portal messages and then lie and say they did. Every appointment Im called back no less than 30 mins late, if not an hour. I am in the middle of my first pregnancy and cant afford to go to a doctor that doesnt get back to me until I show up in person...and when I did, three other people were there complaining that they havent gotten a call back in 2 weeks. Front desk staff could literally care less. They blame it on their system but at some point they have to figure something out. Dont even get me started on if you need a prescription refill...that wont get that done either and youll be completely neglected. Giving 2 stars solely because Dr. Truitt is the BEST, and if she ever goes to another office I would go there.
I was truly excited to switch to Renaissance and be a patient of Dr. Truitt’s. I have two family members who are patients of hers and absolutely adore her. At my previous gynecologist I was not treated well which is why I TRIED to make the switch to Dr. Truitt purely off satisfied referrals. BUT I have driven 45 minutes FOUR TIMES all to get into the office. Sit. Wait. And have my appointment canceled. After four attempts and months of waiting this will be my LAST TIME. I could understand once, even twice, but FOUR TIMES! It’s also very very poor patient care to keep accepting new patients when you cannot accommodate and treat your current patients. At some point you have to realize money doesn’t come before patient care. Also the front office ladies will let you sit there until your hair turns gray. They forget about you once you’re checked in. Never expect an update or any courtesy from them. The poor lady next to me had been sitting there since 1:45pm for her 2:00pm appointment and it was 3:25pm
Been here for almost 8-10 appointments. Every time we would arrive 15 minutes prior to our scheduled appointment. However, we would not be called in until 15-20 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. There are couple of times where we had to wait for 45-50 minutes from the scheduled appointment time. They really need to improve their scheduling and time management. Very much disappointed with their service. The doctors and the nurses are good though.
Something happened to this place. Used to be great but maybe management changed? And the doctors dont seem to care about their patients health anymore since they constantly reschedule vital appointments.Im a high risk for cancer patient been trying to get into an appointments for 3 months after having some concerning issues. They rescheduled after arrived, reschedules a few days before AND on the one day they didnt they made everyone wait for hours for their appointment, only to call the wrong person back and make me wait in the waiting area again.Cant recommend this place anymore. With Dr. Collins made more of an effort to see her patients.Edit: Just called and had to wait through 6 other callers to talk to someone and instead of answering they put me straight to voicemail after making me wait that whole time. This place went to trash so fast I cant keep up
Im looking for a new provider. I rarely write reviews and I try to only review places that I can say positive things about. But Im very disappointed with my care. First, Dr Truitt dismissed my concerns a couple of times, and finally I switched to another doctor within the practice -- but only after the office manager suggested I try another within the practice. That doctor is very good and compassionate, but today I called to ask that a prescription be written to reflect an increased dose so that my insurance would cover it. I had doubled the dose as allowed by my doctor, and had run out *because the dose was doubled and a refill before the 90 days would cost $100, versus $18 under my insurance. The nurse abrasively asked why do you want 400 (mgs) a few times, and I had to explain that it had been approved by the doctor, after I had had an ultrasound like she wanted. Then the nurse said oh, its written under your ultrasound and said the doctor was out today. I asked if she was out just today or for the holiday and the nurse got impatient and said she is just out for the day. The nurse said she had to make she the dose was permanent, not temporary, even though it didnt sound like there was any note about it being temporary. I confronted the nurse about her abrasiveness and she got defensive. She tried to gaslight me, that I was upset the doctor was out today (I was not; I was upset with the nurse.) All in all, she acted like I had to explain myself when I thought I was just calling for something routine and she talked down to me. Then she said she was sorry I felt that way -- but I guess not sorry for the whole tone of the thing. If this was the first time Id had a problem, I wouldnt be here writing a review, but its not. I give it two stars instead of one because the doctor is good. Ive left her name out because I dont want her name in a negative review.
I have NEVER had an experience like the one I just had. Not only did they cancel my appointment 3 days before it was scheduled, but the front desk lady was EXTREMELY RUDE. I showed up early for my appointment and wasn’t helped until 30 mins after my appointment time. They made me fill out a pre form to only ask the same questions by 2 different people during the “consultation”. The lady who did my consulting was condescending and did not make me feel safe especially answering questions. No emotions and just overall rude. I will not be returning to this office.
I was a new patient 2 years ago now. Called many times to get in for my 2nd appointment . The phone just rings, or I am disconnected after pressing 2 for “scheduling.” I have selected other options to leave vm and get no response back. I don’t think repeat business is something this group wants to accommodate. I don’t know why they wouldn’t offer annual appointments which is a standard recommendation for pap and mammogram. When visiting their website, there is an area to click for new patient appointments, but repeat patients are sent to the portal, where there is not a place to schedule anything, or a way to communicate with the doctor or staff. If you are new to Austin, this place isn’t for you. Find another obgyn. Clearly they have too much business.
I cannot urge you enough to not go here. There is no communication, like many others have said. I thought they would at least communicate with my pharmacy to refill a prescription that Dr MacLeod prescribed me, however the pharmacist was also unable to reach anyone there. I truly dont understand how its even legal for a doctors office to operate in this way. Luckily I have transferred to another doctor now. But I really encourage you to skip the hassle of this place and go elsewhere, as many doctors only take people in early pregnacies.
I’ve been going here for a long time. I get treated like dirt and like my concerns are constantly brushed off. Being pregnant is a scary time and being treated horribly by the place that is supposed to take care of you during this time is unacceptable. The doctor is great. The nurses and front office staff are careless. Do not go here if you want to feel heard and treated well. As for the nurse named “Silver” she needs to go ahead and pick a different career path.
Doctor Melanie Collins is fantastic. I can not praise her high enough. She is extremely informative, caring and wants the best for mother and baby. The office staff was exceptional. For example I accidentally missed my 1pm appointment thinking it was at 1:30pm at 37 weeks. They went out of their way to send me to an obgyn the next day even when they were fully booked. The nurses call back within a few hours and cared for my needs when I needed extra medication for nausea.
Dr. Victoria Wheeler is such a blessing to have as an OBGYN. As a woman of color, having a doctor that looks like you creates a bond that is beyond words! She’s so relatable, knowledgeable, nurturing, and makes sure to go over all your concerns and needs. As a black woman, it’s reassuring and makes me feel safe, heard, and well taken care of when it comes to my healthcare needs. I’m telling all my friends, she’s the one! The perfect fit for your list of doctors in Austin! Renaissance Women’s Group, you all found a gem!!! Thank you for bringing her on to your team!
Just don’t.Always plan on appointments being an entire day ordeal. Ultrasound appointments are booked separately (hour in between each time) than the doctor visit. You will be waiting 45+mins after your appointment time, each time. Each of my visits (ultrasound+doctor) took 3 hours. My doctor only appointments that should take 30 mins, maybe, last over an hour.
The fact that I haven’t been able to get in contact with anyone for almost two weeks is beyond unacceptable, especially when i’m this late in pregnancy. I’ve left voicemails, messages on the patient portal, facebook messaged their business page, even waited in line on the phone JUST TO BE SENT RIGHT BACK TO VOICEMAIL. At this point is the office even open. There’s no communication whatsoever as to why there is an issue trying to get in touch, and as someone who already lives almost an hour away from the office, just stopping in isn’t realistic. A mass email, facebook update, or even google business page update really isn’t that difficult to do to explain why so many patients are unable to get in contact with their doctor’s office. I won’t get started on the long wait times when you ARE finally able to be seen and make an appointment.
For the past few months I’ve struggled to call with anyone; I managed to get an appointment after a month of trying and still have yet to receive a call about the results (two weeks later) after calling them for verbal results. Impossibly apathetic and impersonal, and the doctor offered the same experience. I would not go here, save yourself the anxiety and find another place more willing to view you as a person.
Worst communication I’ve ever come across. It’s also been over 2 weeks since they did my blood test to find out the gender of my baby and I haven’t been called. My concern was brushed off twice after showing up in person to ask about this. The OBGYNs are overall very good. It is just the clinic staff that is the worst as well as the phone line.
This place used to be great! But as of recently I don’t think I can back that up. I have been trying to get an appointment for about a month now and with Anybody since my OB is booked well into next month. I finally get an appointment with Tania and for the past 2 weeks in a row my appointment has been CANCELLED. And on top of that the receptionist had a bad attitude on her when I called to find out why my appointment has been canceled by the same person 2 weeks in a row! Im sick and need to get seen, not to be blown off the day of
Will definitely go back when I have another child . Front desk was so friendly , Staff was great. My nurse was quick in calling me back in my prescription refills and any questions I had. Dr. Collins and the Nurse practitioner I saw were so friendly and made my visits great . One of the ultrasound tech I did see wasn’t so friendly , didn’t really explained anything while doing my ultrasound , but other than that great clinic !
I’d highly recommend Dr. Tara Mills at Renaissance Women’s Group. She’s the best, both experienced and knowledgeable in her field, w/ the most sincere bedside manner, even the nurses go see her (that’s how good she is). We had a crisis occur in our pregnancy, but I felt comforted knowing we had the best OBGYN in the region. She kept us informed, let us know the critical urgent nature of our situation, and she remained calm, direct, and sincere. If it weren’t for her and her quick action & expertise, our baby may have not survived. A big thank you to Dr. Mills.
If I could give one start I would have. This practice is terrible! They dont care about their patients at all. When you take a test, they dont let your see the results until the doctor signs off on it, and that could take up to a week!!!I was unfortunate enough to have Dr Gutierrez as my doctor, I was her patient for five months, went through two miscarriages and never got to meet her, she was never available when I needed her and she would even care to see my test results or ultrasound for days even through I was bleeding and in pain!Avoid this place of you want the best for yourself and your baby!
I’ve been a patient here for two years, and unfortunately made the mistake of recommending this practice to several people without realizing that the office is virtually unreachable. Every negative review is met with the same “We’re sorry, we’re trying to implement a new system” comment. Clearly this system isn’t working if three month’s isn’t enough time to get back on your feet. I would give this zero stars if possible. Great staff, impossible management system.
Total disaster, the front desk is never able to explain whats going on, perhaps theyre always busy on Facebook. One lady there stopped us from seeing the doctor, said if you dont pay the entire amount in full, wont let you proceed. The doctors never seem confident about diagnosis. They keep calling you every 2 days. Tremendous waste of time, money and energy. The reports never get updated in your account, the management could never fix that problem, will never answer calls and get back to you after days. I do not recommend this facility.
As a current patient its impossible to make an appt. Website says to use the portal except Im not allowed to send or reply to messages, no calender or appt option. When I call and hit option 2 to make an appt, it rings and rings for 5 minutes then hangs up. No option to leave a voicemail. I cannot get through and am a current patient needing a medicine refilled. They are too busy.
They scheduled me for 10th dec at the phlugerville location. Then canceled and and never rescheduled me. I had to call them to get a new appointment. Then they gave me a date for the 13th. On the 12th the canceled because the new doctor had an emergency surgery. They rescheduled me for the 20th. I can in correctly but went into the first office. No one was at reception. Waited for 20 minutes and the receptionist came and sent me to another office. Then the next receptionist tells me I am 20 minutes late. She was extremely rude with me to the point that I cried. I cannot believe the way this group has treated me; bounced me from one doctor to another am treated me like I grew up on the road.I’m so surprised to be treated this way after they have made several mistakes and put it on me. They have played with my health. Extremely disappointed to have this experience. Please DO NOT choose this group for your health needs .
I havent even been able to be seen there yet, but I was in the process of scheduling an appointment when the scheduling person hung up on me when I told her I had to call back because I didnt have my insurance card in front of me, I had the digital copy. I am patient care coordinator for a medical clinic and that is unacceptable! She literally hung up on me mid sentence! I wanted to establish care here since my own clinic refers patients to them and Im new in town but if this is any indication of their service I think Ill be suggesting a new place for our patients.
Terrible organization. I went in for an ultrasound to check the placement of my IUD. I get a bill in the mail for two copays($100), $50 pregnancy test, 3 std swabs($400+) & another bill for a lab ($100).I refused to pay & opened up a dispute with my insurance company due to your pathetic, fraudulent attempt to steal our money. Your R. nurse tried sending me a message blaming me for the hiccup all while ignoring my insurance company for months LOL! How dishonest & shameful on your behalf.I tried booking an appointment to see Dr.Justiss who just joined your terrible organization, but unfortunately I will have to find another Dr because I will never trust your dishonorable services ever again.P.S- shout out to your receptionist earlier today who said “okay, byebye” in response to my explanation for why there’s a balance due on my account. No sorry, no option to speak to her manager— NOTHING. TERRIBLE customer service! Maybe if you would have made things right by speaking to your past patient I would have stayed with Dr.Justiss. But definitely not now.Dr.Justiss is a diamond in the rough within the Renaissance Group. Too bad I waited until she left her past clinic to get my iud swapped— now I have to find another Dr.
Dr. Gutierrez is an amazing doctor. She is very straight forward and factual about your health and the treatments that are best for you as an individual. She speaks to in a way that you can understand. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. The longest wait I had was 25 minuets in the exam room but that was because Dr. Gutierrez was in surgery which I understand completely and was fine with the wait. I highly recommend this office and doctor.
I have been seeing Dr. Truitt for the last few years and have always appreciated her kindness and ability to answer my questions. Unfortunately, this was not the case when I had complications this year in my first and second pregnancies. My first pregnancy ended in a MMC, so when I got pregnant quickly again they had me go get my bloodwork done. Once the bloodwork results came back, a nurse called me and told me I needed to take a supplement. I didn’t understand all of the medical jargon and knew the numbers were not great so I called back and asked to book an appointment with Dr. Truitt. They overexplained everything to me and would not let me make an appointment. They told me to get more bloodwork done and they would call with results. I had to call multiple times for them to give me my results and then they almost made me wait three more days due to a holiday weekend when the results were likely another miscarriage. The nurse did call back and confirmed it was likely a miscarriage and to keep getting bloodwork done. I once again asked if I could come in and then had to book an appointment with another doctor due to Dr. Truitt being out of town. I agreed and came in. The Dr. did an exam and told me there was nothing she could do and to follow up with Dr. Truitt once my levels went down to zero. I decided to get a second opinion and went to another practice. This practice immediately did an ultrasound and discovered a ruptured ecoptic pregnancy that was causing internal bleeding. I was rushed to emergency surgery. Weeks later, a nurse from Dr. Truitts office did call me to see if I got my bloodwork back and when I told her I had an ecoptic and surgery she didn’t even apologize or offer sympathy. Dr. truitt never called me. I did not feel cared for throughout this whole process and feel like their system of only having nurses communicate does not work well during complications.
I have been seeing Dr. Truitt for a few years. I used to be a nurse in a Labor & Delivery unit. I quickly switched to Dr. Truitt after I worked with her delivering babies. She is the best and I wouldnt trust anyone else with my gynecological health or my pregnancy. I cant say enough wonderful things.
I went in to get some symptoms regarding irregular bleeding checked in on. One problem I’ve always had with this provider is that when I have a scheduled appointment, I’ll wait 30-45 minutes in the waiting room for my appointment even after being told to arrive 15 minutes early. This I could deal with. What came next was unacceptable to me.First they told me that I could not see the doctor I had been seeing there for years, which I get, scheduling can be tricky especially during covid. However the new doctor I had seemed to have no access to my past documents detailing the care I received awhile ago, she didn’t even know what type of iud I had! Shouldn’t that be documented somewhere if I am switching providers? Then she was very dismissive towards me and really did nothing to offer me the answers I was seeking. They basically told me that my bleeding was “normal” but ordered an ultrasound for the next day anyways. So I come in for the ultrasound and they diagnose me with PCOS, barely explain what that even is to me, and then send me on my way. No follow up tests to ensure I am in my best health, nothing of the sorts. I’m still experiencing the same symptoms I came in for, over a month later, and now have to go elsewhere to figure out what in the hell is wrong with me because they provided me no answers. I just can’t believe they would diagnose me, a very young woman, with a serious abnormality and not even try to help me dig deeper into how this is actually affecting me or playing into the symptoms I’m experiencing. Telling me that what I’m experiencing is normal, and dismissing me when I try to tell them I really don’t think it is. Though I got the diagnosis I needed, I got none of the after care that should have been coupled with such a diagnosis. Absolutely atrocious for a women’s “care” clinic. Will not be returning EVER.
It is impossible to get through, make an appointment, find out the results of the tests. I have been waiting for my results for 12 days, the nurse does not call back. I will change this clinic and do not recommend working with them.
My wife made an appointment after being on hold for 20 plus minutes for 4:15pm same day because she was having a medical concern that needed to be addressed ASAP. She had a tire blow out on Mopac heading there and they were not able to see her any later. She was told it could wait til the next day since she missed her appointment. No sympathy what so ever. I’ve been with her while we’ve waited over 30 minutes to be seen for a regular doctors appointment. I’m switching doctors now because of the staff. Just to let you know I waited another 30 minutes to get someone on the phone. Phone system and staff are not the best!!
Dr.Gutierrez is attentive and assuring. She listens and discusses various treatment options rather than pushing in one direction.Nurses are good and caring. Wish there was more coordination between the dr and the nurses and the nurses and the office team. The dr discusses abt a test or a prescription but then there is no follow-up on that and when we need to setup an appointment for the said test or prescription the staff asks us as to what this is about. Shouldnt it be updated and sent to the staff to schedule the appointment for that specific test ? The wait times after checkin sometimes go on indefinitely and it so happened once that i had to remind the staff that i have checked in and i have been waiting for abt 30min. I wish there was a better flow of communication between the doctors and the staff.
I have had 2 babies, one natural and one emergency c-section due to a prolapsed cord, and a hysterectomy using these doctors. When my teenager was having issues, this was the first place I called. I credit them and the nursing staff at St Davids with saving my sons life. My hysterectomy was amazingly easy. I love this practice. I have seen 3 different doctors plus on call doctors, lab people, and the ultrasound techs. All were great.
I’ve seen Dr. Meritt for 20+ years. She delivered my twins and took excellent care of me through that difficulty pregnancy. I recommend her to anyone, she is thorough, kind and I never feel as though she rushes our appointments. I can tell her anything and that’s the kind of relationship I want with my OBGYN.
I did a lot of research to find a Dr I wanted to go to since my Dr retired. Dr. Neyman was very booked out, which I was ok with to see a good Dr. I was told I needed to schedule an appt due to high risk abnormal pap. I scheduled an appt. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. I was told to callback each week to check for a cancellation. No problem. My monthly came early this month and realized I would be on my period at the time of my appt next month. Called to see if I could reschedule, the receptionist said she doesnt know if they want me to go any longer than when my appt is scheduled for and wanted to transfer me to a nurse to see if they could still do the appt if its that time of the month. I was transferred to a nurse who already seemed to be in a bad mood and was very abrupt and acted as if I was bothering her to have been transferred over. She was very short asking for my name and dob and asked what I needed. I explained the situation and she said, well, I dont know why you were referred in the first place or why it might be needed to get you in soon. I tried to tell her what my appt was for twice and was interrupted both times and was told that she couldnt get me in sooner and I should see a different Dr. I told her I dont need to get in earlier, I just need to reschedule, she said I would have a better chance getting in with the other Dr. I asked, so I cannot reschedule with Dr Neyman? This seemed to make her angry and she abruptly told me, the other Dr can do the same thing Dr Neyman does. I told her just cancel my appt then. She said she will transfer me to front desk. I hung up. I called front desk and asked for the nurses name, i was told Tina was working for her today. If that is true, Tina should be fired!! What a horrible person to have working on the Healthcare industry. Obviously, a lot of Drs can do the same thing, but I didnt research just to go to any Dr. and I couldnt believe they would rather lose a patient than to reschedule an appt. My appt wasnt scheduled for another 3 weeks, plenty on notice. Absolutely disappointed with my experience, all because of 1 terrible nurse.
Horrible to get ahold of this office. Made appointment. They cancelled through text, email and robocall. I called to reschedule. Was 9th in phone queue. Left info, as per their robo voice, for them to call me back. Got robocall 2 hours later to call and reschedule.Got text, email and robocall call over weekend to confirm original appointment. Called office again at 9:15am on Monday. Recording says theyre closed and to call back during regular office hours 8am- 5pm Monday thru Friday. 🤯🤬
I was referred by my doctor when she closed her practice and called right away in the spring of 2018 to schedule in November. They couldnt book that far out so I waited until October. The automated system had me waiting in a queue for over 20 minutes only to leave a message. (The message was never returned BTW.) Their website gave the option to book online, so I chose a time and gave my insurance info. I got an email confirming my request that said I would get a confirmation of the appointment time after it was processed. That never arrived so the day of my requested but unconfirmed appointment, i called to see what the status was. I waited 22 minutes to be told they had no record of me.Needless to say, Ive had all the personalised care in a spa-like setting I can stand and will look for a practice that can simply answer their phones.
This place took away from me my right to see my son on an ultrasound. Have not seen him for 2 months. Heaven forbid there is something wrong but if there is they just expect my wife to take in that news by herself because of stupid covid. They failed to explain how 2 people coming from the same household is dangerous when you have a staff all coming from different areas working together for 8 hours a day. They didn’t even give me an option to wear a mask and be in there they completely denied me. This is garbage. I suggest people find other offices to go to. Ones that don’t institute polices that contradict themselves.
This office is the worst practice in Austin. They are highly uneducated and their front desk staff treats you like a number. Absolutely no care and compassion. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Neyman, when I arrived and checked in, the front desk staff was very unprofessional and rude. I waited over an hour, and then went back to the desk to ask how much longer the wait would be, she told me they would call my name when they were ready.. Seriously, no explanation. She proceeded to tell me how there were way more important patients in front of me and if I didnt like it, I could leave. Are you kidding??! I have waited too long to leave.I chose to wait it out, since I had waited this long, and of course the service was just the same with the doctor. Dr. Neyman, was not a friendly person at all, so her front desk is very consistent with the entire office energy. If you are looking for a welcoming friendly environment, DO NOT GO HERE!!
I was extremely disappointed with their front staff and management. Now I saw two doctors from this group who were wonderful. Yet due to their front staff and billing department, Im afraid I cant recommend them to anyone. Front staff is unprofessional and are unconcerned about patient concerns and needs. Once you have your baby they frankly could care less. I was actually told this by an employee when trying to make an appointment to see my doctor. It was extremely upsetting. I am very disappointed because my doctor was great but due to their overall service I will not be going back.
I can’t believe the waiting times for a regular visit while potentially being an emergency to deliver. It is not acceptable for any Dr’s office to play with a mother’s and potentially child’s life. Unless we receive an explanation, I will not update my rating. I will also place a formal complaint.Update: concerns were addressed and rating updated. I know improvements can be made but overall makes you feel they care. Thank you for your response.
Doctor Garza was great! Nurses were very kind, but somewhat difficult to understand due to English not being their native tongue. Room service (food service) was a nightmare. The food is NEVER whats requested and when you inquire, they ask if you made the request before looking at the ticket . Once they looked at the ticket and saw that I had in fact made the request, their response was the same each time....Oh, Im sorry. Then they literally left the room without asking if I would like for them to correct the order. Each time I called 6368 and asked if it could be corrected and they stated that they would expedite the request since they failed to bring the correct food the first time. After a 20-30 minute wait time (EACH Time), I canceled the request to correct my order and just sucked on Candy. Tragic.Honestly, Im just thankful for a successful surgery performed by a talented successful surgeon.
I received a DEBT Collector bill for a service Done less than 6 months. It is from Renaissance Womens Group. Since I could not pay the bill at the time of service due to their end, I waited for the bill in the mail. I believe they did not want my money during time of service due to Covid (?) or insurance paperwork. I do not remember receiving the bill over the mail. Date of Service: July 2022. Date of Credit Center, LLC letter: Dec 2022. They want the $30 copay +6 fee. What the @#$##%. Changing group.
I initially had a fine expierence with this office. I had my IUD removed back in April of this year because my fiance and I were ready to start trying. I got a positive digital test four days ago and I was so excited. I scheduled my first appointment that day and asked if I needed to come in for a blood test to confirm, they said no. That night I had a gut feeling that something was wrong and I tested again, the line had become really faint. I called right away to talk to a nurse and instead of listening to my concerns (only about two sentences long about my tests getting lighter) I was interupted byExcuse me, whats your name and date of birth. At first I thought nothing of it but was still concerned for the health and well being of my pregnancy so I went on afterwards and was sent on my way for a blood test that morning.I got my results back today and this is how the conversation went:The nurse Actually looks like you were on our list to call, looks like the test result came back negative.Me: Wow well I had a positive digital testThe nurse Well this overrides that. Looks like this will be a chemical pregnancy. In my personal opinion in no way shape or form should this be the way you tell someone they are about to have an early term miscarriage. It was extremely insensitive. It seemed as though they had better things to do with their time than tell me the baby who was very real to us was never viable for life.I understand that this is an emotional time and I am probably not taking things as well as I should, but there is no excuse for the way I was handled in this process of grieving a loss.
I was trying to get an appointment here because when I lost my job and insurance and had to get Medicaid, I could no longer see my doctor. I requested an appointment online and the woman who called me back didn’t even tell me her name. She was very short with me and said they’re not seeing new Medicaid patients until November sometime. Overall she made me feel like I was less important than someone who didn’t have Medicaid, like being on Medicaid is wrong.
Would love to give 4 or 5 star review because of my care with each of the doctors I have seen here (with both my delivery and an additional post-partum hospital stay both being on the weekends, I have received care from most of the OBs in the group and appreciate all of them very much), however billing is a nightmare. Going on 3 months postpartum and for some reason they have yet to bill my secondary insurance, but keep notifying me that I owe on my bill. I keep calling to see why they havent sent the claim to my secondary insurance and all they can tell me is that there is a request for them to bill your secondary insurance... really frustrating.
I have had two of pregnancies with Dr. Truitt and she is amazing. I love the staff and how clean the facility is. The Nurse practitioner Brandy was so sweet. Plus everyone is great about rescheduling and any questions. Plus you get to deliver at The Women’s Center Seton Northwest Austin Hospital and they were sooo awesome with my babies and with me. I would definitely recommend them if you want a doctor who will listen to you and be there every step of your pregnancy.
Dr Garza did my hysterectomy in 2018. Stellar work and patient care. I do my annual Gynae checks with Brittany Key and she is excellent. 3 stars is the tech who did my mammogram last week. She was bossy and brash and it is hands-down the worst mammogram experience I have ever had. Seriously reconsidering whether I will continue getting my mammogram there. No leaving Brittany though - she is a keeper!!!
Really like Dr. Uxer and all the Nurses have been so wonderful so far! Wait times have been a bit high and no one at reception alerted me to the delay but my Doctor did apologize without me having to say anything and let me know shed been stuck in an emergency C-Section.So far, very happy :)
Brittaney Swift is an amazing nurse practitioner. I have been seeing her for about 14-15 years. She is amazing. She is the one who found the first lump that got me started doing mammograms earlier than recommended. Thank God she is so thorough because I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years later and I was a year away from starting mammograms. I owe her my life. She is so funny and her bedside manner is perfect.
I am giving this place 2 starts because I did love Jennifer Uxer as my OGBYN. The issue is the follow-up and the confusion I was put in by the office staff and perhaps even Dr. Uxer.I went in for an exam on 11/1/17 at the end they told me to get an ultrasound and blood test next door and it would be quick. On top of that they wanted to wait for my information from my previous OBGYN and that would take 2 weeks to get, but from there they would schedule a follow-up. When I went to the front desk, no one checked me out. I had to ask for the release form that they needed to get my information from my previous OBGYN. I signed it and handed it to the front desk. I went next door to get my ultrasound and blood drawn and there was no check-in and they told me to go into the back room. I got my blood drawn.... but no ultrasound. I was confused and when I asked the front they said that I could go home... with no ultrasound...I waited 2 weeks but (maybe its my fault for this) because of the holidays, I wanted to give them more time. After a month I sent Dr. Uxer a message asking if I needed to do anything else, I was heading back to California and can go into my old OBGYNs office to get my records if needed. There was no response. I went back into the portal 2 weeks later (again thinking its the holidays and she may have been out) and the message wasnt there, as if I never sent it.Well its been 8 weeks and in my head I thought, someone should have contacted me by now right? So I called to follow-up to find out that they didnt get the release form, even though I handed it to them. They told me I would need to call my OBGYN (which I was fine with from the start!) and that because I didnt turn in the release forms they cant do anything. There wasnt any suggestion to help me resolve my issue other than do it yourself I would have been ok with having the form e-mailed to me and me sending it back to them, or going back in and signing a new one.It wasnt until after I basically told the nurse that I had some issues and that is why I was so emotional over this that the nurse felt bad for me. She finally looked into my file and said oh it does say we needed to follow-up with you, oh it looks like you have this then she said that she can call my previous OBGYN for me, and when I said I thought you said that you cant do anything without the release form. Her response was You never know until you try.So it basically took me sobbing over the phone to get some sympathy. I am paying doctors to help me and care for me, and as nice as Dr. Uxer was during my visit, everything else was just a bad experience. I was confused, there was no follow-up. Even if Dr. Uxer is great, how can I trust the office to not screw up again by losing paperwork? Oh Im sorry, we found out that you have this issue 3 months ago, but it got lost and we just found it. It was something as simple a release form, and as simple as looking into my file to say that there is follow-up needed and that they have not followed up. I asked the nurse over the phone would you have called me if I didnt call you and there was no response. So all in all - I just cant trust them to take care of me.
Dr Uxer is hands down the best obgyn I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. She took the best care of my throughout my pregnancy and always ALWAYS did what was best for me and baby. She has the best bed side manner and always made me feel so comfortable. When I hit 35 weeks I had pre eclampsia and got admitted into the hospital at St Davids North Austin Medical Center on bed rest to help me make it to 37 weeks and Dr Uxer always came to see me and make sure I was doing okay even when she wasnt on call sometimes. My husband and I had the best experience at this hospital awaiting our arrival of our sweet son. Dr uxer never pressured me into going straight for a c section and let us try to do things all natural. But after no progress and complications we did a c section to safety get my sweet boy out. I couldnt rant enough about how wonderful we were taken care of. My son had to stay in the NICU for 9 days after delivery due to complications during delivery... which was hard but he was in the best hands possible taking the best care of him. If your looking for an outstanding OBGYN and hospital Dr Uxer and St Davids North Austin Medical Center is the place to go. Ill never go elsewhere or see another obgyn!
Dr. Laura Merrit is an outstanding OB/GYN. I have been her patient for 25 years and she is kind, caring, doesnt rush me, she is very smart and can analyze a situation and solve all of my problems so far! The staff is very kind and thorough as well. I cant say enough about Dr. Merrit!!
Four years ago my husband and I were looking for a OBGYN since we just found out we were pregnant with our first child. Dr. Collins was our pick due to reviews and experience, this was the best choice ever! Dr. Collins and RWG are professional, kind, knowledgeable, and the list goes on and on. In the last four years I have had a baby girl, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and baby boy. Each experience has been good even though some were hard to handle. Dr. Collins takes her time during each appointment and listens to questions and answers them no matter how simple. During my last delivery, she told her patience - I have a mother about to give birth and she has fast deliveries. I will need to run out if I receive the call. The only way Ill stop going to RWG is if Dr. Collins retires or I move.
They billed my insurance twice. One claim was denied and the other the insurance paid for and I have the check number for it that the insurance gave me. I have called THREE times to the billing department and it just goes to voicemail. I also called back in September and the bill was taken off my account but now it has magically reappeared. Also the number they gave for the manager doesn’t work. This place is ridiculous and the office staff incompetent. Do not go here.
We love Dr. Truitt! She is always so confident, calm, and compassionate. If we ever have a concern, shes able to see us right away and address it. Im so thankful to have her as my OBGYN. Our nurse, Kita, was also helpful and friendly.
They had me jumping through hoops with appointments and unwarranted tests. After my experience with Womens Health and certain doctors associated with them I will NEVER go back! And I would highly recommend getting a second opinion (outside of Womens Health) before committing to any procedure.
My wife has been a patient of Dr.Mills for years and has recently delivered our second child. She has always been professional but this last pregnancy and delivery had a few complications. Dr. Mills immediately identified that the issue was occurring and called in everyone from additional nurses to additional Doctors. Due to her quick actions she saved our babys life. We love Dr. Mills and all the doctors at Renaissance.
I absolutely hated this place. First off I had a doctor that I saw on my third visit. Hadnt seen her nor met her until then. The nurses are absolutely terrible. They do not know how to treat anyone like an actual human being. On top of that I had nexplanon put in my arm and was having the worst abdominal pain Ive ever had in my life. I was falsely diagnosed with endometriosis. Why I say falsely is because I havent had any abdominal pain since I got my nexplanon out. I also didnt get a laparoscopy which is what actually can diagnose endometriosis. I did have pain on my ligaments for my uterus but have not had pain since. I had to fight to get my nexplanon removed because my doctor decided to reschedule that due to the fact that a pregnant womans health is more important to that clinic than someone that could actually be sick or have cancer. I would not suggest this clinic to anyone.
Exceptional doctors, but also exceptionally busy, resulting in multiple frustrating miscommunications during and after a recent pregnancy. Also took several months to refund a several-thousand-dollar delivery fee down payment after all charges/visits cleared. Patients should weigh the balance of expertise vs poor customer service before signing on.
I had my 2 boys there and when it was time to have my iud out I went and after my experience I decided to change doctors. I have gained weight but I am not fat and that is exactly how the doctor made me feel. She told me to lose weight and I told her I would try my best to and she responded harshly saying that no I have to. I have never been so hurt/embarrassed/disrespected by a doctor in my life.
Told me I was covered for a procedure without actually checking my insurance. Got the procedure done. Received a bill three weeks later for full price of the procedure-- which was almost $2K. Turns out my insurance did not cover the procedure, which I found out after a 5 minute phone call. It would have taken them 5 minutes to save one of their patients over $2K, but I guess that is not something they care about. DO NOT GO HERE BECAUSE THEY CLEARLY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR ABILITY TO AFFORD HEALTHCARE.
This past Friday was my first visit in a while and I was very impressed by the way my concerns were handled. Everyone I spoke and interacted with was open to talking with me and getting everything set up. I do not expect for anyone to be more of an advocate for me than I am for myself. I was very impressed by Jennifer Vasquez, MSN, RNC and appreciated her direct and friendly style. She set up all the referrals and was focused firmly on patient care and treated me like a person instead of an interruption in her day. She told me what my next steps were and in the referrals where lots of doctors were on the list, she indicated which ones she liked and why. I felt the entire process was a success.
I love Dr. Meritt and have been seeing her for over 24 years. She delivered both my babies, many years ago and has been a positive presence since then. I love her bedside manner and her calm, reassuring tone.
Doctor is great. However, I called the office for appointment and reschedule 20 times. No one answer the phone. It is like no communication at all. It like disappearing.
Do NOT consider this renaiance group for your pregnancy if you care your life and baby. I wrote this to make sure people know before to consider. We moved from Dallas to Austin and we do not know much in Austin, so after google search we took appointment here for wife second pregnancy care and delivery.I have noticed the crew there rude and irresponsible, they dont take details properly first thing. I doubt who gave authorization to work in this profession for them. They will ask confusing questions without their advice.1.During 9month pregnancy, they calculated my wife blood group wrong and gave rodum shots twice, they should not be giving these shots as per other St. Davids Medical Center (NA) who did analysis in final check out. I do reported this twice to renaince Dr.Loar whom we were visiting there, they said they will investigate who wrongly checked blood group and they never come back yet after till now.2. Oncall Dr.Ginger was present when pushing, she was just watching without any advice for 12hours. She waited till my wife drain out and her feaver started incresed peak, still she did not give any advice, so i forced to go c-section.3. When baby born, baby was in 48hours monitoring due to checking infection, its just Gods grace he was alive and happily born.4. my wife had to gone thru C-section, the sticthes did not heal on-time after one month, so we visited every week and checking, the nurse dont even bother to see they are getting healed or not. there was no access to doctor after baby born. so I called St. Davids Medical Center(NA) emergency number, they admitted since its within 8weeks grace duration. once we reach there, St. Davids Medical Center(NA), reniance on call doctor came and he was furious why we went to St. Davids Medical Center(NA). so I argued there with reniance doctor about their irresponsibility about human life. so he changed medication and stiches healed.3. I highly recommend not to consider this renaiance group for your pregnancy if you care your life and baby.I can provide my details and records would like to know further.
Although the doctors are great, which is most important, right? I’m always disappointed at the wait time. I came in for a mammogram at 9:00am which can’t be too deep into the scheduled appointments and they ran over 45 minutes late. It’s frustrating that they double book and keep us ladies waiting so long with kids or work left to figure it out.
I can speak to my own experience. They are the absolute worst. If you want real, professional, quality healthcare then go somewhere else. From uncaring obgyn to disorganized mammograms. You wont get the care you expect.
The doctors I was were great! But Unfortunately two years in a row both of the doctors I saw left this office. This made it extremely difficult for getting prescription refills and the office was not helpful at all. I spent hours on the phone or waiting to get a call back to get an answer. No one really knew what was going on. Feeling frustrated with this experience.
Highly recommend this office and group! Every GYN service you need is in one connected group of doctors and that’s very convenient. I have seen several doctors in this group and they have all been kind, caring, professional and top-notch. The office staff and nurses are also fantastic, and wonderfully kind and professional.
Dr. Meritt is kind and will answer all your questions. She will make you feel at ease about whatever is going on and cares about her patients. I feel Im in good hands with her and will never see another OBGYN.
Terrible clinic! They can never be reached takes days to get call back. I decided to try another place in austin after having a problem big difference I could reach them instantly and actually important to them. I guess tx renaissance doesnt need the business!
I had a great experience with Dr. Diana Wang. the staff was really nice and helpful. I forgot some documents and have to email them some forms for the Dr. signature. the Staff Kimberly Harlow was really quick and helpful with all the documents. The parking was pretty easy in the early morning.
No body recieves the call, was trying to schedule an appointment from so many days.Looks like they do not care for patient health issues.
Possibly the most incompetent group of people running the front desk that I have ever encountered
Absolutely a horrible place with horrible staff. The day of my appointment they call me to tell me their is something wrong with my insurance. After i gave them more information they said they would call me back. They never did, so i called on my way there, suprise the problem wasnt fix. Funny how they never decided to tell me and just waited till i showed up or called. So i called my insurance company, they said my insurance was active, after about 10 minutes we finally figured out the people at the renaissance cant type numbers into the computer correctly so the problem was on behalf of the renaissance. In the end i would have been 20 minutes late to my appointment because they mistyped my insurance in the computer. However they gave my time slot away to someone else and now i have to wait another week to find out if i have breast cancer or not. How cute of them right, horrible place, definitely go somewhere else!
As a patient of Dr Gutierrez I am honestly shocked at a lot of the reviews I have read here about RWG. I have to admit that I have only been seen by Dr Gutierrez (since 2014) and her NP (once) but I have always had a great visit. And I go regularly. I suffer from chronic BV and have a bacteria imbalance naturally and they are always so willing to be open and understanding as well as extremely helpful to think outside of the box to try and help me where other Drs have just given up and casted me aside to the next Dr. Billing and blood work has always been great. I love that they have a phlebotomist on staff on site and readily available. Dr. Gutierrez actually listens to me and doesnt just treat me like a number or like the general populous of women. She listens to my concerns and treats me unique to them. I do highly recommend Dr Gutierrez at the very least as she is the only one I have seen but I appreciate her services.
I wanted to wait to write this review until I could put my thoughts and emotions into words... Ill say it as straightforwardly as I am able... Dr. Garza and his team saved my life!I am a cancer patient. I was diagnosed many years ago and have dealt with multiple primaries, surgeries, treatments and tests/scans. All the fun stuff you can think of when it comes to cancer. For this reason, endometriosis was seen as the back burner issue to all of my other health concerns. Cancer is most often a painless disease, attacking your body with little effect until its progressed and caused other issues. Endometriosis is not painless. Endometriosis is devastating! Its heartbreaking and body wrecking! Endometriosis can cause catastrophic damage... Not only to your physical body, but to your mind, your emotions, your being. But, for five years Ive traveled every 3-4 months back and forth to Houston. I spent weekends with heating pads, struggling to walk, or get in and out of a car, ongoing pain medications on rotation, nights in hospitals, canceled family functions, leaving events early, tears in my sleep, sleepless nights, a huge weight gain, exhaustion from pushing through, mood swings and the strain and stress on family bonds and my marriage. Five years! One day I was walking to the printer in my office and the pain struck out so severely that my knees buckled and I hit the ground in front of everyone. It was the last straw....I called Dr. Devin Garzas office and cried to the sweet woman that answered. She listened... She understood and she listened. I was terrified of another surgery (as Id had trouble coming to afterwards). I was so much more scared of continuing to live this way. She understood. I can not thank her enough for that initial call. The first time I met Dr.Garza, I stuttered through and cried, again. He too listened. He let me cry and stammer... Then he smiled and he told me he was going to take care of me. Ill NEVER forget that! I will NEVER forget feeling that he meant every word he said.Fast forward to surgery... Because of my compromised health, Dr. Garza requested another surgeon assist him (Dr. Laksim) and together, they were able to get it. They took precautions to ensure I woke safely and with as little pain as they could. And now, six months later, I am living life again... Ive lost a little weight. I am PAIN FREE! I play with my young children. I walk my dog every day (my exercise routine and something Id lost the ability to do). I am ALIVE, and not just alive, but LIVING!So, Id like to say THANK YOU! Thank you Dr. Garza for hiring compassionate and understanding souls that truly care! Thank you for taking me by the hand and ensuring I was safe and well cared for throughout the process! Thank you for meaning what you say! You are more than a surgeon... You have reminded me what it is to be human! Thank you!
Their bedside manner sucks. I genuinely feel like they were treating me as if I were stupid. The assistant, doctor, and the lady who did my bloodwork. I’d rather go where they know how to interact with people. Because this isn’t it.Being in the medical field doesn’t mean you are more intelligent than everyone else. And definitely does not mean you have social skills.
The doctor I saw listened to NOTHING I had to say. Instead of possibly looking into tying my tubes due to extreme pain (or other alternatives), she forced more contraceptive pills at me. Will NOT be returning. Also extremely rude and “explained” how menstrual cycles work, I’m in my 30s and am well aware of how they work.
Worst Group ever !!! we were self -paid for all the services we received. every time we went for a check-up ultra sound every thing was paid in full, all up we paid $7,000+ for all the services. On our last visit I made sure everything was paid, asked the lady she said all bills are clear (October 2019). Now i get a bill from Credit center for $64 in July 2020 and my wifes credit is all messed up.
Dr. Gutierrez was very kind, listened to my concerns, and made me feel like she cared. The receptionist was also very kind and friendly. The medical assistant was not very personable though.
Dr Mills is wonderful! Answers any and all questions I have every time I see her. Really takes the time and listens to me. She delivered my daughter last year by c section and she prepared me for everything that was going to happen and my daughter arrived here perfect and healthy!!
Doctor Gutierrez is the most wonderful OB doctor. She will always remember you no matter how long its been since she has seen you and will always add an extra touch of holistic recommendations based on what you share with her regarding your personal challenges. She will be my OB for life
I was seeing another doctor here for years. When she retired, I started seeing Dr Neyman. She has been amazing the whole time. From day one she treated me like id been her patient for years. She answers my questions, is kind, and understanding. The staff has always been kind to me as well. I would highly recommend Dr Neyman and her staff!
I have been seeing Dr. Truitt for years now and she is wonderful. She takes the time to listen to you and it’s clear that she cares. Every nurse I’ve spoken to has been helpful and kind and the front desk staff is friendly and on top of things.
Dr. Merritt is 10/10~ I really appreciate her thoughtful, kind demeanor during our visits. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and detailed and I trust her with the fine points of my health.
DO NOT GO HERE. The nurses, staff and Doctors all lack empathy, and will label you as a “difficult patient” for asking questions about your health, or the information they’re providing. They get very defensive if you ask them questions, and don’t take you, your concerns, or requests seriously.
Loved my OB/GYN, Dr. Tara Mills! She was very nice and the whole staff is understanding and willing to work with you. Loved the hospital, was so clean and nice and worth the drive from South Austin.
After 7 years as a patient of Dr. Merrits I am switching doctors. Her and her team have been unprofessional and rude during a time that I needed advice and guidance. I recommended her to a friend, that friend gave birth with Dr. Merrit and now refuses to see her due to a terrible experience.
Why not train your emplyees before implementing a new phone system! Our clinic is in the process of implementing a new phone and patient records system and hope to have staff fully trained very soon.
Dr. Garza is absolutely fantastic. He is knowledgeable, skilled and provided a great experience for me. I feel truly blessed to have had him perform my lapascopic hysterectomy. I highly recommend him.Tiffany P.
Ive been here several times and Ive never actually seen or met my doctor. The scheduling staff/nurses every time were not attentive (texting or on their cell phone) or gave me wrong advice, or just cold and rude. Also billing is messed up. Theres a reason I used to drive an hour and a half to see my old doctor, and I will now continue to do that instead of using an Austin clinic. I will never come here again.
If you want a healthy baby and a responsible doctor then I do not recommend anyone to go to this group. We lost our child, thanks to Dr. Loar. Such an irresponsible doctor. She was not even present when my wife was pushing.Again do not go to this group.
Went into the practice on Thursday to schedule an appointment, and receptionist was very rude. Got a referral from my PCP because I have an emergency, phoned this morning and once again the receptionist was extremely rude.
I have depending on Dr Meritt and the folks at Renaissance for many years. The staff is always kind and professional. And Dr Meritt is so supportive and never makes me feel rushed if I have questions or concerns.
Dr. Sherry Neyman is the best of the best. I highly recommend her and her staff. As someone who suffers from multiple female health issues and has been through dozens of doctors, I can say from the bottom of my heart i will never go to any doctor again but Dr.Neyman.
Have been trying to reach their billing coordinator for a month now regarding an outstanding balance on my deposit although I paid my deposit in full a while back. Have tried both phone and email and still have not heard back. Extremely disappointing.
Dr Meritt was very nice and the staff is so friendly! The office is clean and does a great job of following Covid guidelines. Great office and they make you feel comfortable.
Staff is really friendly and nice all around. They treat their transgender patients really well too. I’m glad I was able to find them to do my hysto surgery.
I was so surprised to see such a low Google review! I have never experienced such outstanding service and care, regardless of doctor type. I see Dr. Laura Merritt and I love all the staff and clinic in general.
Ive been seeing Dr. Collins. The front desk and the doctor are nice. The nurses and practitioner nurses are not. They do not pay attention to you and they are rude. Especially Brittany. I will switch to another facility after I deliver. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment with your doctor... Youll also spend a majority of your day just trying to get ahold of scheduling. Ive spend upwards of 30-45min on hold to be sent to their voicemail to never receive a return call.
Theyre always so nice and one morning I experienced bleeding and the nurse sandy got me an appointment right away. They did my ultrasound and everything!!! Thank you so much to you all!
If you want to find a Dr that cares for you in a way that makes you feel special and valued Dr Truitt is the dr for you. I never feel rushed. She is confident and so talented. The best dr i have ever gone to. Simply the BEST.
This placed charged me $140 for a visit where no service was conduct ! I asked one question on the way out of the facility and they took it upon their self to say it was a complete visit. NEVER again now I am dealing with collection agency.
I have been cared for by Dr. Merritt for about 20 years now and I have always been pleased with the care provided. The wait is minimal and I am always treated respectfully. I would recommend Renaissance Women’s Group highly
I saw Dr. Merit yesterday. She was friendly and addressed all my concerns. Great bedside manner. Will definitely keep Dr. Merit as my doctor.
Im a new patient, havent even seen a doctor yet and am already having a bad experience. No one answers your call and rarely do they call you back.
Whoever answers the phone for Dr. Darby needs to be fired and I have the call recorded. She was so rude and it was so uncalled for. You work in a medical office where people are calling for medical reasons and the last thing someone needs is to be given an attitude. Its usually the office staff and not the Dr who sucks!
Love how quick my medical questions or rx request get handled ins timely manner by the clinical staff. Love Dr. Gutierrez.
Doctors and Nurse Practitioners are nice and helpful- Lisa at the front was helpful scheduling appointments and she made sure to get my email so I could get connected to the patient portal.
The doctor that I chose for a family member is rude. If I could change I would. I do not recommend dr. Gutierrez. She will give you rude looks and ignore you. She will act as if you were not there.
Everyone here is AMAZING. I’ve been going to Dr. Merritt since I was a teenager. I can’t recommend this place enough. Even their phone staff is just lovely. Thank you Renaissance Women’s Group!
Tried to make a appointment today with them while traveling from out of town. Scheduled a call back throughout their website. Once the scheduling lady called me was very short and snappy with me on the phone and wouldn’t answer any of my questions about soonest availability.Ended up hanging up on her. Horrible customer service. Yuck
I loved my experience with Dr. Garza and all of the nurses and nurse practictioners are amazing, caring and so knowledgable. I will be going back again if i become pregnant.
I had a good experience with Dr. Meritt she really took her time to figure out why I was in pain and told me steps what I need to do..I would recommend any women going thru obgyn problems she is the best.
I am so glad Dr. Naymen is my doctor! She listens and her staff are nice and professional. Thank you for all that you do!
Always professional & courteous staff. Dr. Merritt takes the time ask about not just my health, but my life situations. Couldn’t ask for better care.
I love this place, everyone you interact with is nice and helpful. So refreshing. Ive seen Britney Swift and Sherry Neyman and they are both great about not rushing you and answering all questions:)
Most doctors don’t take new patients and the ones that do just had appointments for new patients in 3 months.
Nobody ever picks up the phone! Eventually had to go see another dr 😟hopefully they improve the system
One of the best places to have your baby at. They are extremely nice, and there to answer all your questions. Very caring I recommend dr. Kim loar and dr. Ginger Truitt.
I would rate this zero stars, if I could. The incompetence by their support staff is unreal. I cant trust them with my prescription, much less my vagina.
Impossible to schedule an appointment in this clinic. Their phone simply doesn’t work.
Ive tried for 3 days to reach someone at the office to make an appt, Ive left a number of messages and none have been returned. Has the office closed??
What a great office... Got an appt soon, taken right back, very accommodating... Happy to establish care here...
To schedule a appointment you took 40min in the phone. And they always are at least 1h late for the appointment time.
I love Dr Neyman and everyone in her office is friendly and helpful
Played phone tag and when I finally got to talk to someone they put me on hold.. then answered and quickly hung up on me. I guess it was closing time!
Ive seen Dr. Neyman for years and think this clinic and her care are great. They are efficient and kind and know what they are doing.
I can genuinely NEVER get ahold of them. I’ve called multiple times a day for 2 weeks and have not been able to speak to anyone
The staff was so sweet and dr. Guitirrez was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions. By far the best facility ❤️❤️
The receptionist/nurses are inconsistent with billing pricing and seem to make you go around in circles trying to get the actual price to pay for a visit.
This hospital is so messed up me and my wife is waiting for a room like an hour ago we should have been in a room I think this is a bad idea 🤔
Dr. Meritt was everything I hoped, thoughtful, understanding and professional. Cant ask for more.
It is impossible to get ahold of a nurse or anyone to help with scheduling.
This place is run really well. Clean and professional. My doctor is really nice and informative.
Used obgyn services , experienced doctors, nurses, great people, humble and amazing staff.
Doctor takes time with me as a person and patient. Asks questions and gives guidance.
Dr Meritt is wonderful and so kind. Everyone in the office is too!
Ive been going to womens renaissance for years now. Theyre always very nice and make you feel comfortable c
Dr. Garza is amazing! I wish I would have found him years ago.
Nervous staffAll doctors are good friendly but front desk staff very angry 😔
Very safe, quick, quality care for my annual visit!
