Went to Wildflower for the first time this week and wow I really recommend this place. Scheduling can be a little impossible since their “book my appointment” button online doesn’t work and there’s always a wait when calling but I promise if you can be patient it’s worth going there. The instructions to get there are SO clear and it’s so helpful when navigating the complex deck and building. I thought the staff were kind and waiting room felt so so clean. I met with Dr. Springfellow who is new to the practice and she is just great! She was very thorough in asking about my history and my concerns. We had a lengthy discussion about different BC options and she was super understanding about some of my concerns and gave honest feedback regarding pros/cons of each and what she would recommend. She made me feel really comfortable the whole time and was just all around a great doc!

This staff is unprofessional and the doctor I had dr . Cohen i dont know if at a young age they see me as stupid but any refferals I have I get no contact from my anatomy scans took. Over 2 months to get scheduled and got told it’s my responsibility to find out and know my appointment when my doctor is suppose to refer me directly to them .. and I’m magically suppose to find out where the location and name is of the clinic and I made a. Complaint and at my. Last appointment acted very petty towards the complaint I made to her clinic. She made my first pregnancy very stressful not having a doctor who cared

Extremely rude administration staff, the person I talked to had a huge tongue piercing and couldn’t even barely talk. Both the Doctor and the administration staff were unwilling to work with me. I went in for a second opinion on PCOS treatment and the Doctor refused to see me AT ALL without all of my records from my previous opinion and treatment approach. They told me aggressively “pretty sure that’s how a second opinion works”… I WANTED A NEW OPINION! Do not recommend.

I had a good experience with Dr. Cohen about a year ago, hoping to switch OBGYNs when I got pregnant, but after I became pregnant and called their office and left 2 messages, etc, no one got back to me. This was disturbing, as I cant imagine this happening to me if there was something seriously wrong. Due to the office not getting back to me, I lost trust and switched to a different OBGYN. I highly recommend that the practice reconsiders their administrative staff, because this wasnt acceptable.

Hands down, an amazing group! Prior to making an initial appointment with Dr. Garza, I was frustrated, at my wits end and had seen 4 doctors with the hopes they would take the time to understand my families history and my concerns - none did.The moment I met Dr. Garza, she understood my history, listened to my concerns as a woman over 40 facing menopause, and we moved forward effortlessly to the best outcome possible. The Nurses, and internal staff, especially Terri, made me feel like family, went the extra mile for my surgery and great me with kindness every time I set foot in their office. This group, is the best of the best, in Austin, TX!

Please please if someone reading this works at Wildflower can you please help me. You submitted a claim under the wrong name (Maternal Fetal Medicine) and it’s flagged as out of network by my insurer. I’ve had the same insurer for years, I’ve been going to you for years and you just need to resubmit under the correct name (Wildflower). My insurer and I have called you at least 7 times and you said you would resubmit but never did it. I’m desperate, this has been such an ongoing headache. Please help.

I have been a patient of Dr. Garza at Wildflower OB/GYN for many years. She and her staff have always been tentative, patient, and always took the time to answer my questions/concerns. Dr. Garza, the Wildflower crew, and the wonderful team at St. Davids delivered our baby with with such exceptional care in 2020 during COVID lockdown (a crazy time to be pregnant). My pregnancy ended with early on-set preeclampsia and had to deliver via c-section at a little over 32 weeks. My kiddo was in the NICU for 2 weeks before being discharged as a happy healthy baby. The St. Davids NICU team are truly amazing. My healing process after pregnancy with Dr. Garza and her team was also amazing. Now, after leaving my personal review, I just have to get this rant out...I just cant wrap my head around as to why Wildflower is getting such bad reviews. Have yall ever been to other or called other OB/GYNs offices in Austin??? Heads up, ladies. They are the going to be the same where ever you go. Busy, delayed, long wait times, staffing shortages. Reality check, this is our new normal. This does not mean that the staff and doctors are neglectful or do not care about you and your baby. They really are compassionate caring humans who are truly doing the best they can. I think people, i.e. the patients, continuously forget that OB/GYNs are also human beings whom are always on call for their patients during their office hours and after hours. When a patient goes into labor, your provider will drop what they are doing, even during clinic hours, and literally run right over to the hospital to help their patients (hence those long wait times and delays for their in office patients!). Remember those times when your provider is checking their watch or phone during an office visit? That is probably the hospital communicating urgent matters to your provider, such as, the labor status or post surgical status of a patient. Poor communication? Thats their staff trying to salvage their providers schedules on the fly to accommodate their patients that still need to be seen and are still waiting. Yep, its chaos, right? It will always be chaos. *sigh* So...my rant is for all of you haters out there, please, be mindful and have empathy. I can guarantee you that you will have a much better experience as a patient and as a human being.P.S. Sending love and hugs to the amazing team at Wildflower OB/GYN! I know yall are always doing your best 24/7!

This review is especially for Dr. Michelle Lu.We first met Dr. Lu when we became pregnant with our second baby. We had a great OB before as well however she moved to a far away location and we wanted someone closer to home. From the day we met her to the day we just recently delivered our Baby girl, Dr. Lu has been amazing. She is clearly very knowledgeable in her profession. She is also one of the most humble and kind physicians I have met. She was very prompt in answering any questions I sent her way, was also listening to our concerns during our appointments and answered everything without ever rushing. We were most grateful for during the actual delivery. Dr. Lu stayed with us for 2-3hrs STRAIGHT in our room as we delivered our baby girl. I dont remember her leaving once! It was a much harder delivery for us compared to our first. She not only was our doctor but she also took on roles of our nurse as well. Her interactions with our amazing nurses at St Davids was very humbling to see. I am a Physician as well and although I am not an OB I was familiar with some the of the complications we were seeing with the delivery. While I was, for a lack of better way of saying this, freaking out Dr. Lu stayed calm and direct with her plan the whole time. She never pushed us to go towards a surgical option. Rather she laid out a clear plan every step of the way to make sure we tried everything before me made that call.We greatly appreciate her and look forward to continuing my care with her. I hope that I am providing the same standard of care to my patients as she does to hers.

Been a long time patient, since 2016. Love Dr. Erica Garza. She is an excellent surgeon and doctor. The front desk staff is always friendly and strives for great customer service. Sometimes you have to wait or reschedule your appt. because the provider gets pulled for a delivery or for an emergent matter at the hospital. I have seen Dr. Caroline Cohen before, when my doctor got pulled away. Dr. Cohen is just as awesome!! The providers really focus on patient care and giving each patient undivided time at their appointments. Its a small practice with an intimate feeling. You arent just a number here. Highly recommend!! Its worth the wait to see them.

I was a patient of Dr. Garza for 5 years, until she cancelled my last three appointments (each scheduled months apart) and then was unable to reach anyone to reschedule. The last time I tried, I was put on hold for 20 minutes and when I tried to call back multiple times, no one answered. Dr. Garza was never particularly personable, but I tried to be patient and stick it out because of how hard it is to find a new doctor. I cant tell if their office is just super unorganized, or Im being avoided for some unfathomable reason. Either way, it seems extremely unethical to leave a patient without care for over a year.

If I could rate Wildflower with 0 stars, I would. I warn any expecting mother to not give themselves the added stress of dealing with this unorganized practice during their pregnancy. Heres some insight into my atrocious experience to shed some light on this practices many shortcomings. Its a long review, but Wildflower OBGYN unfortunately has many shortcomings.STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY. Ill be shocked if Wildflower is in business much longer.First they wouldnt even see me until I confirmed my pregnancy so I had to schedule and pay for a third party ultrasound before I could be seen. & thats despite thinking I was 12+ weeks at the time. Before I go into each appointment and what went wrong, I would like to mention the lack of care and attention I feel I received. My son was unfortunately born 8 weeks early and had to spend 3 weeks in the NICU. By the time he came, it had been 12 weeks, yes 12, since we had done an ultrasound. My initial pregnancy weight was also recorded incorrectly, and could have shed light on some potentially dangerous health issues caused by weight gain. When I went into labor 8 weeks early, one of the other obgyns in the practice came to my bedside, Dr. Cohen, and when I asked her about what the plan was for myself and my son, she repeated the same answer 4 times in a row as if I was too dumb to understand.During my first appointment, the doctor checked her Apple Watch more than once & then they were already running late (this is a common occurrence with Wildflower), so by the time i got back she did an ultrasound, Pap smear, and was supposed to do blood work but it was 3 minutes after 5pm and the lab was closed so had to schedule another day to take off work and come back. If the blood work had been the first task completed, a return appointment could have been avoided.I went back a couple of days later and waited 45 minutes for them to draw blood, despite being told it would be in and out and take no longer than 5-10 minutes. The second appointment I showed up for, was checked in, and then told they lost the 20+ pages of paperwork I had filled out last time. I didnt see the doctor until 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, despite showing up 10 minutes early and scheduling the earliest appointment. The third appointment was the shortest wait time. I scheduled an appointment for 9:30am and was seen 40 minutes later. When it was time to deliver, I told the nurses I felt like it was time and I was having the urges to poop but was told Dr. Garza was in surgery and would be up momentarily. My baby was born blue due to lack of oxygen and if Dr. Garzas surgery wouldve ended any later than it did, my babies life couldve ended as well.My baby was born 8 weeks pre-mature and the doctor had 1 theory as to why that might be - my placenta rupturing. However that was tested and ruled out and I have not been provided with ANY other guidance, insight, or explanation as to why. I also had to call the doctor and ask for the results, not the other way around. For my 2 week follow up after birth, the nurse had me undress when i didn’t need to so I sat there with a sheet that didn’t even cover my butt - feeling exposed and ashamed and left like that until the end of my appointment. The last straw was my scheduled 6 week follow up appointment. I was NOT notified they had moved offices and their new office location was not clearly marked, causing me to carry a car seat with child throughout the 7 story building. I still arrived on time but had to wait 30 minutes before being called back. When I finally was, I got undressed and was awaiting the doctor, only to be told that she couldnt see me anymore and I would have to reschedule.DO NOT use this practice if you are pregnant. The manager Shelly does nothing but contribute to the unsafe practices of this OB/GYN. When trying to remedy the situation, she was downright rude and completely disrespectful. The lack of accountability and lies in their response should say enough!

Dr. Cohen provided me with the best care during my pregnancy. It was my first pregnancy. Her appointments were always thorough and detailed. She always took time to answer my questions and provide responses that weren’t medical jargon you couldn’t understand. We had to have a c-section and during the surgery as well as after the surgery, I felt like I was very well taken care of, and considered. If you’re looking for a physician to provide, you individual care during your pregnancy, I highly recommend Dr. Cohen.

I do not recommend Wildflower ob/gyn at all or Dr. Cohen. She’s disrespectful of patients’ time and can’t even show up at the scheduled time requested. She’s done this multiple times as well for annual exams. She canceled my previous appointment, so I waited a whole month and a week to show up to this one. I showed up 30 minutes beforehand as requested for a 10am appointment today and I wasn’t even called in until 10:22am only to be told to sit in the examination room and wait more time in there. At 10:43am, Dr. Cohen STILL hadn’t shown up so I walked out. My job doesn’t offer me paid sick leave so she wasted my time and I lost money as well for waiting on her. I’m extremely disappointed in this practice and the lack of professionalism from Dr. Cohen.

After feedback from someone else on my care team, I feel this review is necessary. The entire staff from admin team, to billing team, to clinician were cold and rude. The clinician also wasted much of my appointment time discussing fertility, when my concerns had nothing to do with children. The forms they mandate you to complete in office are not trauma-informed, although they do follow laws & regulations. If you are seeking compassionate care as a woman, I do not recommend this provider for any preventative, ongoing, or complex challenges that you may endure. All OBGYNs should feel safe, trauma-informed, and respectful of all clienteles unique needs. This provider is not it!

During my first visit, I chose Dr. Garza for my yearly pap. My experience with her was extremely awkward and off putting. She was impersonal, dismissive, and seemed annoyed when I asked her questions. She would do deep sighs almost as if she was irritated. It was odd.During my second visit, I opted to see another Dr because I would prefer to give service to someone who has manners and can easily connect with patients (and if you dont, like why and how did you become a doctor?) Anyway, my second visit was also less than desirable because I waited in the lobby for 1 hour ...and still was not seen. I asked the front desk receptionist about the wait and she mentioned you should be up next. After about 25 more minutes, I still hadnt been seen, so I decided to leave. There was an African American nurse who was uber kind and helpful. She overheard I was leaving due to the wait and apologized. She also walked me through my procedure incase I wanted to reschedule.Other than that, everyone else seemed cold and impersonal. The wait was also sooooo unnecessarily long. Unfortunately, I will not return.

Dr. Lu is great. Im happy she is my doctor. I have had to see Dr. Cohen a couple times too and she is also great. I do not like the LVN who gives medical advice when you use the chat part of the patient portal. She gave me false information causing unnecessary stress as well as causing me to spend money going to another doctor to get my symptoms checked out because the LVN was too lazy to even ask follow up questions. I would have made an appointment with Dr. Lu but the LVN claimed the symptoms had absolutely nothing to do with pregnancy and to go see a different doctor. Turns out this is a common symptom of pregnancy. This office should not be having a LVN who doesnt know common symptoms of pregnancy give out medical advice to patients. Now I know the chatbox is useless here. Also, prepare to wait at least 40 minutes past your scheduled time to even be seen. They do not care at all about their schedule times and many times the front office fails too communicate with you that your doctor is at the hospital and will not be able to see you until after waiting almost an hour. The front desk rarely answers their phones. Even if you leave a voicemail they do not get back to you and they do not communicate well with patients. Again Dr. Lu is absolutely amazing. She was amazing at all prenatal visits and while delivering my baby. It is unfortunate the supporting office staff is so difficult because they create an unnecessary barrier between patients and their healthcare.

Honestly just unacceptable. I have gone to Cindy Mingea since I was a teen and she was my OBGYN for both my pregnancies. Things were fantastic in 2015 but when I went back in 2017 for my next pregnancy things were different. The front desk ladies were not as nice and it just seemed more corporate. Now Cindy Mingea is gone and it’s just all around awful. I have been seriously suffering all year and went to them for help. They helped the first few weeks but my symptoms didn’t go away so I called back and they tried to give me antibiotics without even testing me first. I insisted I go back in to get retested. I ended up needing meds and was told if my symptoms come back to call and they will give me more meds and do more testing. Symptoms came back, called and no answer. Waited a few weeks, no answer. I ended up going to ARC who fixed me immediately. It’s pretty sad that ARC did a better job. Wildflower nurses aren’t even friendly now. Please don’t work in the medical field if you don’t genuinely care about your patients. The thing I was sick with can cause infertility and other major problems. I was not taken seriously and had to advocate/stand up for myself which is depressing.

I do not recommend using this place at least not Dr Garza. Especially if you have any serious concerns or are high risk! I went in to give a blood draw and literally begged them to see me and you wouldnt believe they told me we dont have the ultrasound machine to look internally you have to go to the hospital I spent 8 hours!! 8 hours at the hospital with tons of sick people around my baby and I because this obgyn Dr who delivers babies doesnt have an internal ultrasound machine probe. The hospital actually found a reason for my pain thank goodness! While at the hospital I told the Dr I would not be using them at all for many reasons. I called my new Dr to schedule would you believe Dr Garzas office tried to block me from getting a new Dr by putting that I dont show up for appointments!! Ive only ever missed one appointment which was my postpartum check up a year ago because they wouldnt let me bring my baby in and I had no one to watch her. Everything about the experience with this place was horrible! Thank goodness my new high risk Dr saw past that ☺️

I booked an appointment with Dr. Michelle Lu for an annual well woman exam months in advance as a new patient.I went to my appointment and I was told by the Wildflower receptionist that because I have an HMO plan and I had booked my own appointment without a referral from a primary care provider, Wildflower could only see me as a self-pay patient and my insurance would not cover my visit.I went home and called my insurance provider AetnaCVSHealth. The customer service agent said that Wildflower OB/GYN is covered by my plan, and that AetnaCVSHealth would cover my visit regardless of whether Id been referred by a PCP. The customer service agent called Wildflower and left a voicemail with me listening on the line, confirming that my plan does cover the visit regardless of whether I have a PCP referral.I called the Wildflower OB/GYN office the next day to confirm if they received my voicemail. The receptionist that answered the phone said that Wildflowers refusal to take my insurance without a PCP referral was because of a note from Dr. Michelle Lu in my patient profile.I called back AetnaCVSHealth and they looked up the Texas statute. Apparently refusing to see a patient without a PCP referral is something that any doctor can decide at their own discretion. Even though AetnaCVSHealth will fully cover well woman annual exams at any gynecologist covered by my plan without a PCP referral.I am so confused as to why Dr. Michelle Lu would set a policy like this that she will not take my HMO insurance without a PCP referral, even though she is fully covered under my policy, since it has nothing to do with my insurance policys ability to cover the cost of the visit.I am also confused as to why the receptionist would lie and tell me that the reason that Dr. Michelle Lu wont bill my insurance is because HMO insurance will not cover my care without a PCP referral. This is blatantly untrue. This whole experience feels discriminatory towards me for having a plan that I bought on the affordable care act marketplace. I am now months behind schedule for my annual well woman exam thanks to Wildflower OB/GYN and the discriminatory discretion of Dr. Michelle Lu.

I called a couple months ago to cancel an appointment and surgery and it wasn’t completed for some reason. I have the hardest time getting to speak with anyone in scheduling and have to call back-to-back at least 10 times to get a 50% chance to speak with them. On top of that, I can’t leave a voicemail most of the time since their inbox is usually full.Additionally, when I first discussed sterilization with this doctor and I have been 100% sure on this plus I had my spouse onboard I was still made to wait months and months before she would agree to it. And then I started becoming uncomfortable with her when I started having severe pelvic pain and was told to just get ultrasounds every time it happened. No call from the doctor discussing what could be going on, just the standard message you get in the patient portal saying everything looks fine. My new doctor pointed out there were changes in my body that they did not address at all between the ultrasounds. I do not feel listened to at all and I am extremely disappointed in this doctor and with her staff.I moved onto a better OBGYN with good customer service and who actually listens to me when I say something is really, really wrong with my health condition. No more useless ultrasounds and have a dr that takes the time to investigate issues.

I’ve thought long and hard about whether or not to leave a review, but I believe doing so may save another woman’s life. Dr. Cohen misdiagnosed a miscarriage that turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy. This life-threatening and sadly unviable pregnancy was only detected after a much insisted upon follow up after the initial miscarriage diagnosis, (which was diagnosed after one blood test and not two blood tests 48 hrs apart, as I now know it should have been, to compare hormone levels).Furthermore, after the discovery of an ovarian cyst during the ER visit related to the ectopic pregnancy, Dr. Cohen spoke with the ER doctor and agreed to urgently follow up with me to measure the cyst and ensure it had not grown. When she finally scheduled me in a week later, she didn’t even give me an ultrasound. She did, however, tell me “some people are more sensitive to pain”. Due to her negligence, I ended up back in the ER the very next day after passing out and vomiting from the pain. Had she done an ultrasound, she would have been able to see that the cyst was now large enough to require surgery. Thankfully I was able to have the surgery done by a real professional, and I am alive today. Trust your intuition because if I hadn’t, I could have died.

Id give this clinic zero stars if I could. I saw Dr. Garza last year for severe pelvic pain, abnormal periods, etc. Dr. Garza was very dismissive of my concerns and ordered for a CT scan. The CT scan came back normal and Dr. Garza stated that a second opinion was not necessary. Fast forward 8 months later, I was still experiencing severe pain and saw a surgical gynecologist. He performed surgery and discovered I had stage 3 endometriosis and with severe complications. CT SCANS DO NOT SHOW ENDOMETRIOSIS. Because of Dr. Garzas incompetence, my condition continued to progress and I developed severe complications. Im very glad I trusted my gut and got second opinion. If I would have waited any longer, I would have lost my left ovary. Ladies, do NOT go here. Please find care with a doctor who is knowledgable and listens to your concerns.

The MAs and nursing staff are so titanically unhelpful in contraception consultation it verges on weaponized incompetence. Ive been 3 times. They went mask off in different ways all 3 times.Dr. Lu may be worth the hassle of this office staff for the right patient. If thats the case, shamelessly advocate for yourself and speak up because the MAs and nurse certainly wont.Yeehaw!

Ive never had a worse clinical experience. Front desk staff is rude and clearly hate their job. Dr. Garza could not even explain to me how or why fibriods grow......poor luck apparently. 🙄 To top it all off they over billed me. When I called to correct the mistake they reassured me it was a mistake and would be corrected only to find out months later they sent the $85 bill to a claims court who is now harrasing me for a bill I do not owe. They cancelled my scheduled appointment. Of the last three phones calls I’ve made to re-schedule, the office has been closed — during scheduled open hours. Very disappointed, especially since they sent me 2 texts and 2 VMs to say they cancelled. Even when there was someone on the phone to schedule, I would be 6th waiting in line — only to hear that there was actually no one there any longer to take my call. Management needs to make it easier to just contact the office. I’m sure the doctors are very good and competent, but I’d prefer to try another location.

I visited Wildflower OB/GYN after seeing good reviews for Dr. Caroline Cohen. After having already been through 3 different doctors, I was looking to make a switch again to have someone finally help me determine the cause of my debilitating month-round pelvic pain. Upon my arrival, Dr. Cohen seemed very dismissive of my pain and mentioned that some people just deal with chronic pelvic pain. To which I just have to say, there is always a root cause of pain; it doesnt just happen. I left the office feeling hopeless and misunderstood. Happy to say I switched doctors AGAIN in a different Austin office and after 4 doctors not caring, I found out the cause is uterine fibroids (which I now know Ive had since my early 20s) after just one appointment and one quick ultrasound of my uterus. Keep searching for different doctors, ladies. This one wasnt it for me.

This is my first baby and the woman at the front desks are very nice and friendly, but they make you wait in the waiting room for hours before anyone sees you. Dr.Garza was one of the worst doctors I’ve ever had she’s very unfriendly and disinterested in helping her patients. Every concern I had she just disregarded. Ever time I had an appointment with her I hated going to see her. Once I finally switched ob’s I had my last appointment at wildflower and they didn’t want to take me in. One of the nurses said dr.Garza had a fake emergency to go to. Just petty and unprofessional.

While the facility is clean and tidy and had COVID safety in mind, my overall experience ( first and last) was no pleasant.Making the appointment was easy enough but the staff did not feel interested in welcoming a new patient. I had mentioned initially that I was an sexual assault provider and that I would prefer over communication and to make this as quick as possible ( within reason) as I do like to be undressed. This was to keep my nerves in check. I believe this was not passed along based off my over all experience. When I arrived it took them 15 mins passed my appointment time to take me to the room. When I finally was welcomed back the nursing assistant didn’t seem at all pleased to be seeing me. After taking down info, she quickly told me to undress and provided me with a smock and a sheet? There was no gowns. As she left she told me Dr. Garza would be in within the next 5 minutes. That was a lie.I was left alone in the room for 45 mins, waiting on the doctor to come see me. This is very triggering and what I was trying to avoid. No one came in to mention a delay or apologize for that matter. When she finally did enter, she seem very rushed, struggled to make eye contact, and kept looking at her watch. As I discussed some concerns about my well-being she was very dismissive and continued to undermine any concerns about the issues I am facing. I left feeling extremely stupid and dishearten. The best part is, I never received any follow up from a person. I only received two notifications via the portal. One stating she has sent a prescription of birth control in ( I had told her I’ve been taking BC for years and DID NOT ask for it) and that my test results were uploaded. This left me along looking into what the results meant. Not a single mention of any of my concerns and what the next steps should be, nothing!!! I would strongly recommend going else where!

Very unprofessional and extremely poor patient care. I went in a few weeks ago about constant pain that I had talked to them about before hand. The first time I brought it up they claimed that it was nothing, despite my horrific periods and pain. Im talking pain that sends you to the hospital every time I got my period and was dismissed by my doctor. When I finally see my doctor again she sends me to get an ultrasound at ARA. I get the ultrasound done immediately and ARA has since told me that the results are done and had been set to Wildflower. Two weeks later I have no information. There have been multiple separate calls by myself, my father, my mother in law, and my advocate in regards to the results. They dont my calls, Ive been told I wasnt a priority and they claim to not have the results calling me and ARA liars. What kind of doctor after ordering a test for a patient would decide not to follow up on the results? I could not be more unhappy with my experience at Wildflower OBGYN, stay away if you care about your health.

I hate to be this person but I would feel guilty if people did know all of the facts when choosing this OBGYN. My first appointment was overall a good experience, although I did feel like the person who scheduled my appointment over the phone seemed disinterested. Despite that, the front desk staff was very pleasant at the actual appointment. My second appointment was the one where we found out we had lost our baby, and while theres really not a great way to deliver that news, I felt like Dr. Garza was also disinterested and rushed (which was not the case for my initial appointment). I was asked to do bloodwork before I left and the woman who was doing my bloodwork was making jokes and trying to lighten the mood despite the fact that I had just found out we had lost our baby. I dont think she did it intentionally, but a little more communication between staff members couldve prevented this difficult interaction.Because the miscarriage was so early, we had the option to choose between taking medicine to help pass the pregnancy or opting for DNC surgery. Dr. Garza was initially helpful over the phone and answered my questions about the pros and cons of surgery vs medicine. However, once I chose the medicine option, I was on my own. I didnt know what to expect, I didnt know how much to take, I didnt know how often, I didnt know what I was supposed to be looking for.. I was just working off of the small print on the prescription bottles. No one called me to inform me about how this would go or to check in to see how it was going. Eventually, I started seeing some signs of the medicine working but again, I didnt know what to expect so I couldnt really say for sure. I told Dr. Garza what was happening and asked if it was important that I come in for a check up before we moved out of state the next week. She told me that there wasnt any reason to rush the follow up and that some women dont even come in for a follow up.After moving I started going to another doctor and checking my HCG levels to ensure that everything was going well. Last weekend, when I had my first period since the miscarriage, I started experiencing severe cramping and sudden and heavy bleeding. The bleeding was eventually so intense that I had to go to the hospital where they performed a DNC around midnight to stop the bleeding and the ensure that the pregnancy had passed. The surgeon told me that I was extremely lucky that I wasnt septic given the amount of time that had passed between the miscarriage and when the pregnancy passed.Obviously Wildflower is not to blame for all of this, but I do feel like I was severely misinformed about what to expect, put in potential danger by not rushing a follow up appointment, and overall not cared for or checked in on after the clinic knew I was no longer pregnant.I cant speak for other doctors at the practice and the first appointment was nothing to complain about but I just wanted to make sure everyone knew my experience from this OBGYN because I only saw positive reviews and was very excited about going there. Sorry to be a downer. Just wanted to share what happened.

I was under the care of Dr. Cohen while I was pregnant with my first child. As a first time parent, I was worried about anything going wrong during my pregnancy. I was spotting around 13 weeks and insisted that she check me. She would give me a tone as if there is nothing to worry about, its all normal during pregnancy. I confided in her and for the most part, I considered her a great doctor, until I came in on my 20th week of pregnancy. I had noticed I was spotting again and that there was a lump inside the vagina. When I called her, again she told me it might be normal due to the pregnancy. I again had to insist on her seeing me because it did not feel normal to me. When I came into her office, I not only had to wait an hour to see her, but I was already 3cm dilated, and the babys bag was bulging. She told me to drive to the hospital, and put me in bed rest. She informed me that she was going out of town the next couple of days, but that she was going to leave another doctor in my care (I believe it was Dr. Winn form her office). I was as St. Davids hospital for three days. On the second day, the doctor she left in my care came in and asked me how I felt, but she didnt even touch me to check how I was actually doing. That was the only time I saw her until the inevitable happened. I still did not have any labor pains. I will admit that the hospital staff was not very proficient either, but nothing is more stressful than to be there without a doctor caring what happens to you, or having the compassion to explain what is happening or will happen. I lost my baby due to cervical insufficiency. I began to have labor pains that evening, and my son was born ALIVE on the morning of the third day. I know he was too small to be placed in an incubator, but I believe that there was a lot that could have been done to save my baby, for example stopping labor pains. I think if labor had not started, I would have been able to resist longer. I have researched and many women who have wonderful doctors are able to save their babies with the same situation I was in. Of course, their doctors were very involved with their conditions. My son was alive for about an hour, and we managed to baptize him before he passed away. Even in the delivery room, me and my husband were completely alone. The nurses walked in after my son was already born, and that is the last time I saw the doctor left with my care. She walked in after the nurses had already cleaned me and the baby up. She didnt even speak to me. This has just been a horrible experience, and I decided to finally post this review after receiving the bill from this doctor, which really upsets me after the care I received from them, and even after she was never there at all! I am now seeing a great doctor, and he seems to know what he is doing very well. I will recommend to any woman that is expecting to really research your doctors well, and if you are a first time mother, to find someone that has many years of experience.

Beware of shady billing practices. On my wifes last three visits our insurance covered the bills. Then the clinic sent out another bill for the same three visits and our insurance told us that they had already covered and paid for them. They said to call and have the clinic billing department call our insurance to resolve the issue. When we called the billing the department, they said they would put our bill on hold and call our insurance like they suggested. They never did and continued to send bills out. This repeated for months. Us calling the billing department, they would tell us they would call our insurance company and get it resolved, but according to our insurance company, no one ever called to resolve the issue. We called the clinic billing department one last time and the same promises were repeated that our issue would be resolved, that they would put a hold on our bills and talk to our insurance company, but behold our bill was sent to a collection agency. If I were you, I would avoid this clinic, as they will try to scam you.
