Huge lack of communication. This was our first fertility clinic, and after trying another fertility clinic I can honestly say I felt more like a task to be checked off than a patient. They don’t explain the process well, and for first time couples who aren’t sure what’s going on there’s no guidance. If you know what you’re doing this clinic might work, but if you’re seeking compassionate and communicative support, I’d look elsewhere.
Had a second attempt to make an appointment with this clinic, man oh man if I tell you they make you fill out 20 pages of paperwork just for a consult. And they harass you for it as well when making a telehealth appointment. This office needs to get new employees who are compassionate to others, especially new patients. I cancelled everything told them to shred my book of paperwork and I’m finding another office!
I walk in, check in at the darks and then have Been sitting in the lobby for 15 minutes, then I receive a phone call. It’s the clinic, I walk over to the desk to the lady I’m on the phone with. Turns out they never checked me in. It’s been 35 minutes and I have things to do. Awful waste of time. Very inconsiderate.Update. 40 minutes later I’m finally in a room
Here to say that care fertility is the reason I have my chunky 5 month old baby girl. They were always quick to respond and Dr Kevin was always professional and courteous during visits and answered any questions I had. I am so grateful to Dr Kevin and his staff for being compassionate and friendly during the IVF process. Anyone that has gone through it knows the toll it can take on a person, but this team handled everything with haste and willingness to help. We even had two emergency type situations during our IVF (dropped medicine vial the night before retrieval, and a threatened miscarriage) and the clinic both times went above and beyond to get me in within hours. We are beyond grateful. Thank you.
Overall, I loved this clinic and Dr. Kathy Doody! I am currently on a weight loss and money-saving journey, but I do intend to go back. My only issue is that I live 4 1/2 hours away from the clinic. Other than that, I had no issue with the staff.
I had a really positive experience at this facility. The nurses and staff were wonderful and took their time walking me through the procedure and making sure I was comfortable. I appreciate their care so much since this has been a difficult journey.Something I wanted to share because it personally caught me off guard is that people do protest outside this facility. They were very aggressive to me and shoved papers at my car and yelled as I was trying to make my turn out of the parking lot. I didn’t realize how impacted I would be from this until it happened. I can’t understand why someone would take time to make someone’s bad day and difficult journey worse. I do wish I would have had a heads up before I went to the facility that this could happen because I was caught off guard. Hopefully this review helps another person doing through a hard time a bit more prepared.
The entire experience, from the moment I walked in, was fantastic. Dr. Kathleen Doody was not only knowledgeable but also took the time to address all my questions and concerns. I left the clinic feeling confident in the care I received from the first appointment to our very last. The medical assistant was always so kind. Dr. Nackley was wonderful and showed us our first ultrasound of our little one. Without CARE Fertility our family wouldn’t have been the same. Forever grateful to the CARE Team! Thanks to all the staff at CARE for what y’all do, truly amazing people.
The lack of attention coming from the clinic since we initiated this journey let me beyond dissatisfied so as of now, Ive decided to follow my treatment in a place where I feel welcome, cared and that I dont have to chase every other day for an appointment/answer.For my husband and I, this is such an important step in starting our family and from the get go we got, the clinic has let us down with the communication, service, just overall attitude of the staff. After reading some reviews, the feeling that I have is that they only the money matters. Extremely disappointed.
Just a FYI to anyone that uses thus facility they have doubled their ultrasound price from $175 to $350. Im sure they have also went up on other self pay prices but just a heads up.Response: Actually I was a previous patient for yalls office but did end up going to another clinic and using yalls office for local monitoring. But I also didnt include the time I came in for a ultrasound and was left in a room for 30 or 40 minutes because yall forgot I was in there.
Long story short:horrible communication , they make you do the follow-up work especially when youve already paid the copays etc.Everything about this place led me to be very unhappy.I sat in a waiting room for 2 hours while waiting for my bloodwork(which is paid for upfront of course, so no sense of urgency)Female Dr doody was interruptive when I had questions during our first and only virtual meeting with her. At this point we wanted to know what our options were. Shes older, and went off on some kind of tangent about having multiple kids and freezing eggs and having twins or multiple children, etc (this was odd to me, like she was in her little sales pitch, rather than a doctor trying to answer our questions.)She also told us , that I would be prescribed a testosterone replacement supplement, and that Claire would speak with you. This never happened.Nearly 2 weeks passed before i asked my wife what the heck was up. So I called care to locate this Claire, first two times some receptionist rerouted me, and got voicemail, then the third call I was told she was with another patient. (how did she not check this prior to sending me to a dead end phone line?)Then I was told it was my job to call the clinic to verify that the doctor actually prescribed me this medication (what?).They never asked our pharmacy information upon intake, so how could they bother lying about prescribing me this medication ?
My wife and I saw many red flags at this establishment. Taking 3 days waiting to hear back to book an appointment, to having to call the 3rd day and remind them.. to unexplained expenses… to in person visits being handed a piece of paper to explain everything the dr should have during our paid visit, to having to wait over 1 month to get blood results… and the only reason we received them was due to the fact our new office requested them and happily explained it all to us with no issues.Kathleen Doody - this office needs some work. I did not interact with 1 individual including you that made us feel like anyone actually cared or wanted to help us. We 1000% understood the expenses involved with fertility treatment, but your office made us practically beg for basic information. We scheduled a call to give Dr Doody genuine feedback to give her some insight on why she is losing clients. Couldn’t even bother to show up on time, therefore appointment was void.I would NOT recommend this place.
The doctor is always in a hurry and they didnt focus on our treatment but they are focusing to use us for there new research only.So we change the clinic.
Coming back over a year later to say that I now have a 5 month old (as of today!) and I have CARE Fertility to thank. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the doctors and team that helped our dream become a reality. I felt cared for and informed every step of the way. I am forever grateful!! Can’t wait to come back for baby number 2 in the future :)I’ve only had a handful of appointments here so far, but I’m already so impressed and happy to be in their care. Dr. Kevin and his staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to answer questions. They have ALWAYS answered my phone calls almost immediately, called me with results in a timely manner, and respond to emails quickly too. I also went to the Fort Worth location for my HSG and mock transfer with Dr. Thomas and she was wonderful. Thankful to have found CARE Fertility!
Dr. Kathy is the best and I am so happy with her office and staff. I have had 2 pregnancies through her guidance and cannot wait to do it again. The process is not always easy, however, the staff always makes sure I am welcome and comfortable. Dr. Kathy makes me feel like family and it is a pleasure every time we get to see her. She truly cares and I am so thankful that she has been there to start and grow my family.
I cannot speak more highly of this fertility clinic. We had the pleasure of working with Dr.Kevin whom I found to be incredibly caring and compassionate throughout the process. My initial work up was thorough and his team was beyond amazing!!This is an emotional and overwhelming process at times, but i encourage anyone seeking infertility care to consult with Care Fertility. You will not be disappointed. My second trimester is just around the corner as i type this. We are forever grateful to them for the care we had here and we cant wait to see them again for round 2.I wish all of you good luck towards your journey in building your families.
After 3 separate referrals they sent the new patient paperwork which I immediately filled out and they said they would call within 1-3 days. 11 days later my husband calls and fills out the paperwork again. Still no response. I call multiple times and get a voice-mail but no appointment. Finally got my doctor to send me to another specialist. My only impression is that theyre too busy or decided my husband and I couldnt be helped so just dropped us without a word to us.
I can’t praise this place enough. After a bad experience at a previous clinic, CARE was exactly what we needed. They are kind, professional, and just FANTASTIC at what they do. It was worth the long drive for us and every penny to go here. Dr Kevin is incredible! And the staff is just so on top of everything. When they say they’ll call you back with results or answers to questions, they actually call you back - unlike a lot of other offices. We are so thankful to have found CARE and grateful to Dr Kevin!
They asked me to take down my previous review. The office manager, Amy, said we wouldn’t have to go to a new clinic if I took it down. We declined that offer, and still paid the $1,000 to transport our embryos to a new facility. That should tell you a lot about what kind of people work here and how this clinic operates.I guess I was pretty naïve coming into the IVF process. I did what my doctors asked, paid for what they asked me to pay. I just assumed they were doing everything right. Then, while I’m getting prepared for my transfer, the doctor said she ‘overlooked’ something on my chart and before we could move forward I had to have surgery to get it corrected. They knew an error had been made and the office manager even said they would give me some type of economic relief for this oversight. I was distraught and started questioning everything. Then I got a call from the director saying “this was just a lack of communication between doctors, and I’m sorry this happened to you, and we’ll use this situation as a learning experience”. Then they backed out of offering any type of financial help and even told me to find a new clinic!! They call themselves “Care” but this has been an emotional and financial nightmare.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We called in July and got the date that our embryo storage was paid up through and then shortly after we received a bill with a different date. We were confused and tried calling the clinic for answers. Due to getting misinformation in the past, we started documenting all our calls to them, so we knew who & when & what transpired on every call. The clinic couldn’t understand why we were upset and just kept saying we signed a contract. We knew we signed a contract which is why we called to double check the date. They did not care that one of the staff members had given us a different (and incorrect) date. The situation became very overwhelming for my wife, so I called to get an explanation. Amy, the office manager advised me that she had spent “too much time and energy” on my wife and hung up on me. I called again and when I said who I was, they hung up on me a second time. We have paid you almost $20,000 and we aren’t worth your time? It’s not worth it to come to this clinic. They are totally lacking in communication and compassion and once they get your money, you become insignificant. I’ve watched my wife struggle through this whole journey by things that could have been avoided had they just taken a little extra time and CARED!
Love Dr Kevin Doody he has been great at working with me with my problems/concerns… always follows up and explains everything quickly but in detail.. makes sure to give all options and lets me chose instead of doing as he wants… would def recommend him to anyone
We are so grateful to Dr. Robin Thomas and the rest of the staff at CARE. Thanks to her we now have a beautiful 3 month old daughter! Dr. Thomas is an amazing provider! I loved all of the nursing staff. I did have to see Dr. Nackley on two occasions and she seemed wonderful as well. The only source of frustration I had with the clinic was that if you need to speak to anyone other than the front desk, you have to leave a message and wait for a call back. I’m a health care provider myself and don’t always have access to my phone so I would end up playing phone tag for several days when I was trying to schedule my IVF cycle appointments.BUT so grateful to Dr. Thomas for our little girl!
This place deserves NO stars After waiting over a month for my 1st appt which was over the phone. I asked them do they accept my insurance. They said yes they do. I reached out to them to make sure that my appt was on a certain date. They sent emails to do modules and everything. I was so excited because I don’t have kids and have had a rough time trying to conceive. 5 days before my appt 2 days after I confirmed my appt they called and said they don’t except my insurance and would have to pay out of pocket. The fact that they was very nonchalant about it and not apologetic considering most women reach out them for help with pregnancy made me even more upset. When I spoke with The manager Amy Williamson (if that’s her real name) she was the most unprofessional person to ever speak with about something important to a patient she kept trying to reiterate the amount needed to be paid instead of apologizing for the inconvenience. I hope upper management fix this issue.
Have been to a couple other fertility clinics due to moving around because of work and let me tell you. Care Fertility is by far the worst of the worst. Let me start by saying Dr. Kevin was unprofessional, combative and cold with absolutely no compassion... His top go to treatment will always be IVF even if you don’t need it, If you go against what he wants then you’re no longer wanted as a patient and you become untreatable. This place is a joke. The way I was treated was so unfair and just plain disgusting, glad it didn’t take too long to see his true colors before I kept wasting my time and resources. If you’re desperate enough and willing to pay anything, then this is it. They love people like you, make no mistake they don’t care about you. They care about MONEY. Goodluck to anyone seeking care with him.
Dr. Doody showed great care and attention to our physical and emotional needs throughout our IVF journey. We came to her after 1.5 years of IVF and 3 failed transfers, and she thoroughly reviewed our medical charts and created a treatment plan that stuck the 1st try! Dr. Kathy and her staff all have great bedside manner, and friendly and professional, and the office is beautifully clean and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Kathy and am forever grateful for her part in our family planning journey. Dr. Kathy is a blessing!
DO NOT Come here if you want to feel any type of warm welcome or support! Literally everything is based on money and authorizations!! When you enter you don’t even get a hey how are you? You are greeted with your copay amount! I was delayed back in January due to my authorization expiring the following week of me starting my cycle. Now It’s may and the same thing is happening. My auth expires next week so I cannot do anything until the authorization is done, which means I have to wait until my next cycle. Honestly find a more sympathetic place! Dr. Doody is always booked too so you’ll have to wait weeks for a consultation, I have only spoke to him three times since I started this journey back in August 2021… the nurses are great, the medical assistants are great. the staff is terrible and billing only calls you back when it’s convenient for them.
Dr. Nackley and her team are absolutely incredible! We were so impressed by her knowledge and amazing bedside manner during our entire process. She’s the reason we have our sweet baby boy. Every doctor, nurse and coordinator treated us with the utmost care. Thank you for helping us grow our family!
Staff and doctors were friendly. I wish Protocol could have been changed and a More aggressive treatment could have been used. Dr. Kathy refused to change protocol after 3 failed frozen transfers. I used all my top embryos. After I changed clinics and did a whole new cycle with new protocols I am now pregnant. I wish she would have been more aggressive and she would have listened to my concerns. Dr Kathy didn’t want me to pgs my embryos because of my age, didn’t believe in certain test since there was no scientific evidence. However she wanted to keep doing the same thing over and over again despite failing multiple times.
Buyer Beware. That dotted line has fine print for days and the package includes keeping money for services you may never receive. It’s not like they even let you choose to only pay for the services you want/need/use. They make you buy the package, and definitely use pressure sales to a very vulnerable clientele. Our entire experience was terrible. Wish I could give zero stars.I felt forced into their office hours for the entire process, not the timing on my body for peak fertility. Customer service was a disaster the entire way through and took many many months even get a basic refund for a minor amount.I felt alone and like a “number” throughout the entire process which included a lot of expensive and time consuming travel for our visits.Use ANY other fertility clinic than this one. #saynotoCareFertility
DO NOT GO HERE - All they are interested in is sales... Apparently my wife and I need all these expensive tests run when there is no known problem. Oh but it would be good to do the tests just in case. Give me a break. Not to mention my appointment was in September and I asked about this procedure applying to my deductible and was assured my insurance was accepted. Tried to settle any bill upon completing my visit but was told no payment owed. Then get a notice in November that my account is past due and owed $275. And Im out of pocket because I didnt actually speak to the physician (which I was never offered the opportunity to). Makes sense right. Will never return.Edited upon Owner response below: Blaming a bad review because of infertility is irresponsible and further solidifies your nonsense. Newsflash, not infertile. Readers should reference the owners note below and be motivated even more to steer clear.
All I had learned was that I was too old after failing 4 times in the past 2 years of IVF/ICSI. It turned out it wasnt just my biological clock that was dooming it but the RE doctor who was failing me in my previous clinic as I got pregnant at the first embryo transfer with Dr. Kevin Doody here in CARE fertility. Im so grateful and happy now that I could share my good outcome but I was so devastated a year ago when I was looking for a new clinic. I still remember Googling the best IVF/ICSI clinic going through all the reviews and comparing the success rate desperately last February. Im writing this review for those who might be in the same boat as I was - go with CARE fertility! They have Dr. Kathleen (who did our 6 weeks pregnancy ultrasound), Dr. Thomas (who retrieved my eggs), Dr. Nackley (who transferred the embryo) and, Dr. Kevin (who oversaw our IVF/ICSI and answered all my endless questions and doubts) - all of the 4 doctors who helped me get pregnant. At first, I was a little bit unconvinced about the rest of the doctors when I was assigned with them while Dr. Kevin wasnt available - but not only everyone was experienced, warm, and knowledgeable but also they knocked me up!!! Once again, I can confidently say that they all are amazing! Also, all the nurses and staff in CARE fertility were there to help me as I tend to be very skeptical about everything. Only one thing I found a little bit inconvenient was that I couldnt ask questions directly to nurses but you would have to leave a message to get a callback while most of the staff including doctors responded to my emails, especially ivf coordinator Chrissy helped me tremendously to set up my schedules and meds when I was clueless. BTW, for those who are struggling with advanced age problems like me, it might be helpful to read the book It starts with eggs by Rebecca Fett before getting your IVF journey started. Seriously, Id say you are lucky if you live close enough to be able to choose CARE fertility!
Unfortunately EVERY negative thing stated here is true. The statements about Dr. Nackley are also true, she’s great. I’m a healthcare professional, utilization management specialist and patient advocate. I’ve NEVER had a patient experience as poor, disrespectful and non-patient centered as this one. Even their responses here note it. Not one time is responsibility taken for anything. As a person who cares for others, it was like being on an episode of punk’d. More concerning than the patient service was the lack of medical attention. Not seeing the MD assigned, reporting problems that are brushed off, not being responded to following a catastrophic cycle error, being ignored when voicing concerns (even having to pay to voice concerns about things not medically related), and never getting a direct answer about anything. I believe they think that certain types of patients are not as important as others, and this assumption causes certain behaviors. As patients and consumers it’s time we start holding our providers accountable. Leave reviews but also file complaints where appropriate with the appropriate entities. Regardless of your financial or any other status, you deserve treatment that reflects the oaths healthcare professionals take.
I had a fantastic experience with this clinic. I came here after a failed IVF cycle elsewhere when I was searching for new REs. I had an excellent consult with Dr. Kevin Doody. I had lots of questions and was very familiar with the process. He actually let me talk without cutting me off, had good comments, didnt make me feel stupid for asking my questions, etc. Their prices were reasonable comparatively to other clinics in DFW. I got lucky and they were even running a clinical trial which I qualified for. However, they were my front runner to go with even if I had not qualified for the trial. There are some things that were not great, a couple of the medical assistants were horrible at blood draws, they had some policies I would have preferred were different (wont transfer two embryos until a certain age, only prescribed certain meds for nausea), and some of the nurse communication seemed a bit short. But no one is perfect and this experience was SOOOO much better than my first round of IVF. The protocol was better, the ultrasounds were better, the retrieval and recovery was better, and the results were better. Dr. Kevin is also extremely knowledgeable and up to date on new information. Not to mention our first transfer here worked and Im currently 30 weeks pregnant. Id highly recommend them!
I have seen 5 or 6 different fertility doctors in the past 12 years and Dr. Kathleen Doody is the first doctor to treat us as a couple. My husband has felt broken for a long time and knowing our issues are male factor has weighed heavily on him. Dr. Doody is the only one that went through his results and explained everything and spent time actually addressing the male factor issues and giving us suggestions that could improve his test results. By the time the consult was over we had hope that things would be better.
If I could give this facility a zero I would. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I started the process for reciprocal IVF in January and here it is October and we still have not gotten any closer to starting a family. It is impossible to speak with Dr. Kathleen Doody, she relays all of her messages through the nurses who can not answer questions. Each time we speak to a different nurse we get different information. We have to leave messages when we have a question about any portion of the process and do not hear back from anyone for several days after weve left 2 or 3 messages. Dr. Doody was scheduled to do an over the phone Q & A with my wife over a week ago and she did not call but put in our record that she called twice. My wife was near her phone all day and never received a call or a voicemail for that matter. Dr. Doody gave us the green light to order our medication to prepare for egg retrieval but once it was time to schedule the appointment for retrieval she informed the nurses that we needed additional testing first even though weve already paid 2k on the medication she prescribed. She first stated we needed the additional testing because I was coming up on my date for reevaluation which is in November, trying to retrieve egg before November, so now when I state that fact, she counters with Im not a viable candidate even though she already stated I was and prescribed the medication needed. They make up things as they go rather than having actual facts. Weve been lied to on several occasions, have spent additional money that was not needed and are no closer than we started back in January. Currently waiting on a call back from the clinic for concerns I had earlier but I doubt anyone will call back due to nurses having terrible attitudes instead of trying to understand my frustration. Needless to say my wife and I are starting over fresh looking for a new clinic who have our best interest at heart and treat us like human beings and not like idiot atm machines.
Care Fertility helped us get pregnant on our first round of IVF, for that reason alone, I’m giving them 5 stars and would give them 10 if I could. Below, I break down my review of different aspects of my experience with Care:My journey:I am 31, in good health, but with unexplained infertility. My husband also had healthy sperm numbers. We chose to do IVF via “Invocell” device because it would be less invasive, would require less medication, and would be less expensive. Care was one of the only places in DFW that offered Invocell so we went with them.Doctors:I originally was with Dr. Kathy Doody, who was fine and certainly a competent doc, but she seemed a little condescending and seemed visibly annoyed when I would ask her questions. She also seemed like she was in a hurry to end the appointment and spend as little time with me as possible.I had one appointment with Dr. Kevin Doody and switched over to him. He is much nicer, more gentle, and didn’t seem like he minded answering all of my questions. He also seemed to be more aware that I was there trying to get pregnant and have a baby rather than routine medical procedure (which is what I felt like with Dr. Kathy).Staff:The surgical staff are TOP NOTCH. I have never felt more at ease than when I had to go in for surgical procedure. The surgical nurses, anesthesiologist etc. are all outstanding. Same goes for the embryology staff – they answered my questions very patiently. A lot of the regular nurses can be quite rude. It’s like they’ve forgotten the patients are not only suffering a physical condition, but infertility is a very emotional diagnosis. The nursing staff were often curt and dismissive. One exception was Nurse Nickie, who was AMAZING. She was sweet, courteous, explained everything to me, and made sure I understood it.Cost:The cost of Invocell IVF was in line with what Care told us we’d have to pay so there were no surprises. We knew we’d have to pay for tests/medicine separately so we budgeted for it. IVF costs a lot, but Invocell is a LOT more affordable – and for us, it was a much better option than traditional IVF.Facility:The facility is OLD. I thought most IVF clinics were supposed to be modern and spa-like facilities, but this place was probably built in the 70s and still retains some of the same colors/furniture. But honestly, I’ll take a dilapidated building as long as I can get a baby so I didn’t care about this that much.Overall, despite the issues I had, I would pick Care over and over again because they helped me get pregnant after trying for so long. For that, I will be forever grateful to them.
I had the same issues other complaints on here. I went to a previous clinic and had a failed IVF cycle. Went there for 2nd opinion and gave me high hopes is should work and medication was inaccurate to why it failed. I proceed and did many test paying out of pocket for. After 6 days of medication I went in to see a nurse for follow up and they called me 2 hours later telling me they had to cancel for no response. I spoke to multiple people informing me I would get a 90% refund since I only was on medication less than a week and did 1 follow up with nurse. I have emails confirming but after I told them I went to another clinic they said they could only give me half due to policy. Billing manager told me after reviewing chart they knew it would get canceled due to past experience. They took my money knowing it wouldnt work. Dont go there!!! Nobody knows whats going on and make you wait for the next person but never communicate. So unorganized!
With our backs against the wall, due to CANCER, we were recommended to the center for assisted reproduction to preserve embryo in case the chemo left us unable to conceive. Unfortunately we didnt have time to do the proper research. It was one of the most awful experience and I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. After the cancer diagnosis we knew we were going to incur significant cost, however we didn’t realize that we were going to be preyed upon. When we had our consultation, we inquired if they would submit this to the insurance. While under mental duress, they advised us of cash only, due to it being more expensive due to our deductible. However, we had already met our deductible but it’s their predatory nature. They don’t want to deal with an insurance company, they refused to submit it. They just want your money. We were advised that the live strong foundation would help in paying for the fertility medicine. This was a helpful benefit to our budgeting but upon discussing this with billing they advised us that we would not qualify and there were no remaining funds for the scholarship. It was a punch in the gut. To add insult to injury the billing lady, was a rude and condescending. She showed no compassion, didn’t care for our situation. I hate to write this but she was a truly awful person. It turns out that we were eligible and we did receive the scholarship. Thank you Livestrong.Billing became a huge issue, they illegitimately withdrew money from my account without authorization. I never pressed this issue because we agreed to pay money but the fact remains that it happened without authorization. Additional unknown charges were applied and when inquiries were submitted the response was of confusion and purveyed in an unprofessional manner. These charges were never rectified. We felt like we were held hostage and were afraid to speak up; they had possession of our embryos. We had our embryo stored with them at their facility and paid the storage fee for one year. Before renewal was up we decided that we didn’t want to have anything to do with this clinic. We did our research and submitted the appropriate papers to transfer the embryos and dispose of the remaining sperm. They never received the notarized paperwork. We resubmitted the notarized paperwork and scheduled to have our new fertility doctor’s medical shipping company to handle the transfer. We were advised that due to a recent change in policy that they would not permit the outside medical company to do the transfer. They were trying to force us to use their shipping company, who was twice as expensive. After back and forth, I advised Dr. Kevin Doody that he has left me with only one option, the legal system. Forcing someone to something they never agreed to because your facility changed their policy is just another example of their predatory nature. It didn’t take long after that for them to agree to use the outside shipping company. Four months later we received a storage fee for sperm. We have tried reaching out to them to let them know that we authorized the destruction of the sperm. We never hear back from Kelly. The moment we move forward with the embryo, we are going to have them genetically tested to make sure there was no foul play. With their given tract record and the bad experience we have had we are left with only down right disgusting assumptions.Imagine for a second, if they can treat a sick cancer patient with the disdain they have treated us, what they will treat you like. This is your future, your baby. Please do your due diligence and make sure you pick a respectable, professional and compassionate fertility clinic.
I have not been a current patient of Dr. Kevin for the past few years and when I called with a positive home pregnancy test he and his staff were quick to get me in to be seen. Dr. Kevin and his staff have always been very helpful and understanding with the many questions that my husband and I have had through this whole process.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kathy. Our fertility journey started 14 years ago. My husband had undergone a vasectomy during his first marriage and while his reversal was successful, his sperm had poor motility. We underwent IVF and were pregnant the 1st round with twin boys and froze 5-7 embryos. Fast forward three years we had a conversation about whether we wanted more children and if we were ready to call CARE to discuss a frozen embryo transfer. The next month we had the shock of our life… 5 pregnancy tests later to confirm… I was pregnant with our daughter! Then 15 months after her birth, another shock I was pregnant AGAIN with our son. Unable to think that we would want (could handle) additional children we decided to donate our embryos and schedule another vasectomy for my husband. This seemed like the right decision for our family for 7 years, until I changed my mind. In the final hours of my fertility (age 41) I decided I wanted another child and for some reason my husband actually supported my desire and agreed to meet with Dr. Kathy in January. Dr. Kathy was still the kind physician I had remembered. She met with us, explained our options, did some necessary tests on me, connected my husband to a urologist that would do his surgery to remove his sperm/TESE, and I would undergo another IVF cycle. Dr. Kathy answered all our questions and has continued to do so. She was supportive of our decision, gave realistic facts and information, and never made us feel stupid for wanting another child at the age 41, with 4 healthy biological children together + 3 healthy adopted children + 3 adult children from my husband’s first marriage. Oh... and did I mention the 5 grandchildren? I have learned there are so many factors to IVF that I took for granted in my 20’s, and I have learned there is so much I cannot control. Dr. Kathy, and the IVF coordinators Chrissy and Nikki have made this difficult process in my 40s and during a pandemic better because of their constant support and communication. Through every phone call with questions, each step forward, and each set back. Fast forward to September, I slowly was responding to the medications and we made it to the egg retrieval and TESE surgery. The RN’s that prepped me for surgery and were in recovery room were friendly. The anesthesiologist was so kind. Only 4 eggs were retrieved but I was happy that it was more than the last failed attempt, and had faith all I needed was 1. Unfortunately, none of the eggs turned into blastocysts and we had nothing to transfer. The embryologists were kind on the phone each time they called to update me. I knew they hated to be giving me bad news. Fast forward to the following week, I had a telephone consult with Dr. Kathy. She didn’t have an agenda or rush the conversation. She was patient, answered questions, and really just listened to me ramble, listened to me try to figure out why I had such success with IVF 14 years ago verses now, maybe being 14 years older has something to do with it, lol? We talked about another IVF attempt being reasonable since my husband had underwent surgery and we had frozen sperm to use. Dr. Kathy’s compassion, years of experience, and knowledge has kept me realistic, and I am confident she would not let me undergo unnecessary fertility treatment if there was not a sliver of hope. With all that being said, I highly recommend Dr. Kathy Doody and the CARE facility if you are looking for a physician with not only years of experience, research, etc. but also a genuine desire to help grow your family. I hope in the next few months to have good news on our IVF cycle but no matter what… there are no regrets and I know that Dr Kathy will have done everything within her power to get me pregnant and grow our family because she cares.
The staff at CARE is excellent. Dr. Kathy always went to great lengths to identify and help us understand every step of the process. After struggling with infertility for 6 years, CARE helped us to successfully conceive! We are so thankful we found CARE fertility and looking forward to meeting our sweet miracle soon!
Dont go here! Read all the reviews! I did not have a good experience (2017) & felt like a walking dollar sign here. The lack of compassion was so clear and I could tell they just want money. Other reviewers have confirmed they just want your $$$$. I received an incomplete diagnosis that was not anywhere thorough as as the next clinic I went to where I was treated with the utmost compassion and care. I would avoid this place if at all possible. There are excellent clinics in DFW. Why would you go here when there are superior clinics in DFW that will treat you better and get you pregnant?
Its always a pleasant experience with the Dr. Kathy. She is very nice and attentive to my needs. I am very greatful to Doctor Kathy and the staff, being this is my second pregnancy with the help of them. I highly recomend Care Fertility to anyone who has fertility issues.
I feel the need to encourage people who may have also had a negative experience with the CARE Clinic and Dr. Kathy Doody. Our initial visit wasnt the best...the office is a bit older, not very warm/comforting, the staff wasnt the friendliest, and our visit with the doctor felt very rushed even though we had dozens of questions left unanswered. Our visit was discouraging and we werent given much hope, even with the option of IVF. We went a second time and left feeling the same: hopeless.Because of that we postponed all fertility treatments for two years! I wish then we had really got a second opinion right away. After our new doctor reviewed our records, we were told several of their recommendations, including surgery, were completely unnecessary. Their pricing for IVF was DOUBLE the price with our new doctor. Even upon having them fax our records to our new doctor, that took weeks! I finally reached a nice lady in the office who got the job done. We were also told their semen analyses are done by machine and the results arent as accurate as having an actual technician do so. If you have been to this clinic and feel discouraged to move forward, I encourage you to get a second opinion. Try looking at DFWs Top 4 infertility doctors & dont give up! For the amount of money youre spending and the stress youre going through, its worth it to find a doctor that fits your needs. There are other doctors out there who want to see you have a family and who arent in it just for a profit. You shouldnt feel like another number and you should feel welcome! Our current doctor knows us by name, calls us with every update, personally greets us even when were there just for labs, and gets us in immediately when necessary since infertility is so time sensitive. We have no regrets changing doctors!
In 2014 I had to have surgery to have a uterine fibroids removed and so was referred to this clinic. Dr. Nackley was AMAZING. When my pathology test came back abnormal Dr. Nackley was very thorough with how she chose to handle my additional care. In 2017 when my partner and I decided to try to conceive again we had a wonderful experience. When I successfully became pregnant I swear it looked like Dr. Nackley herself was tearing up. I have a beautiful little girl now and I genuinely believe I would not have her without the help of Dr. Nackley and the quality care I received over the years with her.
Dr. Lawrence is an amazing and caring physician. Dr. Lawrence has gone above and beyond with my care. I have had a lot of different complications and she has always been on top of it to make sure I stay as healthy as possible. Dr. Lawrence has always been very patient with me, answered all my questions and has always explained everything so that I knew exactly what to expect. I really believe I would not have had this high level of care with any other doctor or clinic.-K.H.
Ive had the same experience as others have reviewed about...Overall it seems the doctors are knowledgeable and offer sound advice, but the staff is unbearable. For a 5 star rated facility, you should have EXCEPTIONAL staff, not average/below average.. It seems that every time we call or visit the facility the staff engages us in a rude or condescending way.For the cost of these treatments with or without insurance, your customers should be treated better... We are only just starting our visits here and im considering finding another clinic.
Today we saw a 3D image of our 24 week old baby boy! After almost 4 years of infertility I finally heard about Dr. Kevin Doody. From the very first appointment Dr. Doody and the staff made me feel like family. I truly loved going here. Thanks to doctor Kevin Doody we are going to be welcoming our perfect baby boy into our family on August 15th. I will never be able to thank you enough Dr. Doody! The entire office is just incredible. They are able to give you blood work results that day so no waiting around wondering and any questions you have they are sure to answer that day. The facility is top notch and I am just so thankful God pointed me to Dr. Doody and his team. If you want peace of mind, a stress free process and of course a baby on the way I highly recommend CARE Fertility. I will never ever be able to thank yall enough for treating me so well and giving us this incredible gift.
I was a patient at this clinic in 2017 at the age of 39 undergoing an IUI procedure. I had a very mediocre experience and would never recommend them to anyone. I have since found a wonderful clinic that showed me how lame this clinic really was and provided such a depth of care and compassion beyond expectation. This clinic missed so many major issues and was not thorough in my case. I felt like nothing more than a dollar sign at this clinic. No compassion, no smiles, not anything but my procedure. I regret wasting my money by ever setting foot in this place.
Experience with doctor Nackley was amazing. Shes the only reason we stayed for the 10 months we did. The owners of this facility are money hungry and will do everything in there power to make your life hell if you try leaving. Unfortunately since covid has happened they have stopped serving iui patients, so we needed to see other fertility clinics that were offering iuis. We found an amazing clinic in southlake that charge less. Anyways, when i called to get my vials transferred to a diffrent clinic they of course want to charge me to release my vials $175. Yup they just want your money. Then they told me I couldnt go pick up my own vials! I HAVE to contact a special traport company that will charge me $600 to transport it less than 3 miles away. If I decide to transport them myself I should be able too. Btw my new fertility doctor said they can not make me use a transportation company when im no longer under their care. That means, neither are my vials. Beware, going here will be your biggest mistake.
Dr. Mansfield is simply amazing! I am not being overdramatic. My husband and I having been trying to have a baby for years and even though we still have not been blessed with that, we feel so grateful to be in the hands of Dr. Mansfield and C.A.R.E. The staff here has made the last year the least stressful it could be for us. Dr. Mansfield constantly makes sure we understand all our options, choices, and next steps. When my Gynecologist was ready to just take the wait and see method and just assumed I had a fibroid, Dr. Mansfield said we should dig a little deeper. She discovered I had something completely different that needed surgery and was most likely preventing pregnancy as well. Four months post op I physically and mentally feel better! I am so grateful for how Dr. Mansfield and the staff. They are extemely friendly, always use my name, comfort me when Im emotional :) and are just a joy. They send me emails to check on me, and Dr. Mansfield often calls me herself to give me results of tests, I have NEVER experienced that before. Between that and the fact that she knows all the details of my case and life when I come in solidifies the feeling I have that I am in the best place.
Dr. Mansfield is fantastic! Her bedside manner and professionalism is amazing. I highly recommend her and also her nurse, Jennifer, who is wonderful. She responded to my emails quickly and with concise answers. My overall experience was excellent.
Do NOT use this clinic for fertility preservation (egg freezing) The lab does not know what they are doing. If you ask about their success rates with fertility preservation (egg freezing) , they will just will tell you every patient is different, because they dont want you to know their true stats. If you dont believe me, ask them how many patients have come back to thaw eggs to make embryos, and if they were successful with the thaw, how many got embryos, and how many patients had a take home baby.None of my eggs survived the thaw process. I have had other patients have reached out to me, with similar results with this clinic with fertility preservation ( egg freezing)
Dr. Thomas has been wonderful throughout the whole process. She always ensures you fully understand what is happening, next steps and in general what is best for you as the patient. I have been more than happy with my experience with her.
Dr Kevin Doody is the BEST!!!!!! He is never in a hurry to answer ALL of my questions im so pleased with how amazing he is!!! After every visit I have hope about my fertility, his staff is amazing but most of all his medical assistant Aracely she is so knowledgeable and always compassionate towards me and makes me feel at ease at my worst! im so appreciative of her and Dr Doody!!!!
The staff is great, they all remember who you are and really want you to be successful in your treatment cycle. I also love that the Drs open up to you about their personal experience of going through fertility. I can not say enough good things about everyone!...Robyn Nelson
Dr. Nackley and her staff have been incredible. After first being seen and evaluated at CARE fertility, we discovered that our prognosis was relatively bad. Dr. Nackley tirelessly answered questions, both in person and via email. She recommended a course of treatment that was appropriately aggressive, while projecting a sense of calm and confidence that my husband and I found extremely reassuring. Thanks to her clinical instincts and skill, our IVF cycle was successful, but even if it had not been, I would have had no qualms about returning to CARE fertility for a second try. Dr. Nackley and her staff are caring, knowledgeable, accessible, and extremely sensitive to patients needs. I cannot thank them enough.
By far the worst medical experience Ive had in my life. The staff is completely incompetent and lacks basic insurance processing knowledge. We are in network yet they refuse to accept the insurance (United Healthcare) and is forcing me to pay out of pocket for the complete cost of care (after trying to get me to wait 4 months until the beginning of the year when prices increase). My wife has her primary insurance (which does not cover IVF) so her secondary (my primary-United Healthcare) will cover yet the office manager and the financial admin fail to follow up and send the required documentation to the secondary insurance as evidence of no coverage. 5-6 months later we are still sending the SAME EXACT letter to the office for them to submit with the claim. I even did a three way call (4 TIMES) with both the doctors office and the insurance on the phone which they stated NO PRE AUTHORIZATION IS NEEDED. United Healthcare even sent an email as documentation as no pre-authorization is needed BECAUSE THEY ARE IN NETWORK. My employer covers 30k in cost yet this facility is REQUESTING THAT I PAY OUT OF POCKET! The office manager doesnt believe what the Insurance company is saying. The medical office staff appears to think they the insurance companies are suppose to do what they say yet they have no idea how to process a BASIC INSURANCE REQUEST. I am not sure what the training guidelines are to have such a position. My wife is depressed because its been over 6 months of dealing with this and she is about to turn 40. This is listed as one of the only doctors in network who provides this service.
Dr. Kathy, Nurse Araceli and all the staff at CARE Fertility are amazing. Dr. Kathys bedside manner is unmatched. I have visited other fertility clinics and CARE Fertility is by far the most professional and caring clinic.
I only put one star because you cannot put zero stars. This place treats you like you are on an assembly line to be wrung for money. We have struggled with infertility for years, and you know how much emotional and financial effort it takes to reach the point of asking for help. We did one round of Clomid, and it failed. The doctor could not provide us with a reason why it did not work. This was the lowest level of Clomid. We had been told when we started that there were three levels of Clomid we could work our way through. After the first one, we were pushed towards IVF (the most expensive treatment). I literally was guided by the arm by the nurse out of the exam room where I had JUST been told the Clomid had failed, down the hall to the financial planner lady. I was STILL crying as the financial planner put a folder in front of me and started talking about needing thousands of dollars for a deposit for IVF. Thank heavens my husband was there and he was able to say This is ridiculous, we should not be treated with such insensitivity. And we left and never went back. But 16 months later, I got an extremely rude and harsh call from the CARE billing department, apparently insurance had revoked payment for some lab work we had had done almost TWO YEARS ago, and now CARE was demanding the money from me and threatening with sending me to collections. They claimed to have sent five statement letters in two months (what office policy is that?), but I had never received any statement. We always paid all bills upfront, we never even used a payment plan. It is interesting that they dont have even the tiniest bit of compassion for the thousands and thousands of dollars we paid for every diagnostic test under the sun, and treatment- but two years later the office wont write off $75 dollars as a curtesy. They will hunt you down and threaten you with collections. Doesnt matter that they failed us in our fertility and treated us so coldly. They want that $75. This place is cruel.
Be wary. Do your research and consult with multiple clinics. We didnt and tried here first and our Cycle went to an end when it came to the day of eggs extractions. All the tests indicated everything was going as planned. Well the day of extraction there was no good explanations to why they couldnt get an egg. All we got was we dont know what happen but we couldnt get any eggs. Even the week before we did some test. The follow up was to Meet up with Dr. Doody said we were a rare case and didnt know anything else except to better monitor the next cycle. Not sure why we were not better monitor before. We will not do our next cycle here.
My experience was not great either. I Consulted this clinic without a second opinion, I did multiple tests and a procedure at the request of the Dr. The medication dosages prescribed for me was way more than i needed, I was paying out of pocket for my treaments, no Insurance coverage. My embryos were AA, AA and AB, all my results were excellent! from egg retrieval, to sperm test and so on. I wanted to do two embryos transfer at once so I could have twins, but the Dr Nackley said no, it will be too much of a risk to do two embryos transfer at once. So we ended up doing one embryo transfer, the AA embryo and it failed without any reason! I asked Dr Nackley if there might be a reason for the failure, she said we should transfer the two remaining embryos once at second try. I became hesitant as this was against her idea at first. I dont know if i can still go to another clinic with my embryos that i still have with them.
I had a tubal reversal in 2014 with Dr. Nackley after having my tubes tied for about 11 years and got pregnant 5 months later with a girl had her 11/2015 and 5 months later got pregnant again with another girl and had her on 12/2016 and we might be preganet again , so if we are again I will have a total of 8 children, 5 being with first marriage . I recommend this place really didnt have any issues with them. They got me in and out for surgery which was good because I live 6 hours away but had to stay the first night but got to go rest. Dr. Nackley was good and honest with us and we were told we had 80 percent chance of getting preganet and were given 4 months to get pregnant. Highly recommend this place.
Doctor Nackley is awesome. Thorough, quick, pleasant, knowledgeable. Nurses are amazing, especially Nikki. Clinical staff so easy and very responsive. Only complaint is front desk person doesnt smile or greet me.
I’ve waited a year to write this review to give myself time to cool off and write a fair review- here goes......After spending $35k with Dr. Doody (male) on 1 fresh IVF transfer and 2 frozen embro transfers- nothing worked and we lost 4 embryos in the process. We were left broken hearted and discouraged. Then we switched to another fertility clinic and got pregnant on the first frozen transfer with them. In our last meeting with Dr. Doody he told us he was, “just as dumbfounded as we were that it hadn’t worked yet.” Thankfully our new doctor wasn’t dumbfounded and knew exactly what we needed- a different medication protocol. The best advice I could give anyone starting their IVF journey- look elsewhere for help!
The Center for Assisted Reproduction always takes their time to answer any questions and/or concerns. Dr. Kathy Doody and Dr. Nackey have both been great. From first consult to egg retrieval I have always been taken care of. When one thing did not work, Dr. Kathy Doody found another solution. I am glad I got a second opinion with her. Thanks to Dr. Kathy Doodys knowledge and never giving up on us, we finally have embryos. I would highly recommend this place to others.
Everyone here has always been at my disposal anytime. No matter the question, no matter the time I received an answer to ease my mind. This journey is a very frustrating one with lots of ups and downs, Dr Nackley has been a source of strength for my husband and myself during this time. She has never made us feel anything but pure concern and caring from the get go. We love her! TJS
Dr Lawrence is very thorough with the information being given. She makes sure everything is explained to full detail. She does not mind spending extra time in your appointment if a problem or extra questions arise. She is always very nice, friendly, and inviting...JB
Horribly, horribly managed facility. I knew this was the case the first time I went to have an analysis checked on me and it puzzled me as to why my doctor recommended this place. These people are rude, take their sweet time to handle analyses and only really care about getting your money. Avoid at all costs and go to ANY other fertility clinic in the city/state.
Dr. Nackley is so professional, sincere, and caring! She enabled us to get pregnant with our first child and there was no question if we would return to Dr. Nackley for help with trying for a second baby. AMP
Dr. Doody is the best surgeon! He removed 8 fibroids from my uterus and I was able to get pregnant 4 months after the surgery. I would definitely recommend his services.
Staff has always been very helpful and willing to answer any questions that I have had. I was very pleased to hear that even though I do not see Dr. Kevin each visit, that one of the doctors are still looking at my charts and blood work results.
Dr. Thomas is very personable and smart. Love her so far. She seems to be more proactive than the other clinic we have used in the past.
The staff were excellent. The nurses were very helpful and would answer any questions. Even though my procedure didnt go as expected, the staff were great. The facility is nice as well.
Every visit has been great. the staff is understanding and compassionate about your difficulties and needs. every time that i have needed an appointment, the time and date are available. i would recommend care to anyone seeking help.
Dr. Nackley has been great to work with and I appreciated the care provided. I am glad I chose this center to have treatment as the staff is always friendly and courteous.
I have been so impressed with Dr. Thomas and the staff. I have never had a doctor or office be as timely and attentive to my needs especially while going through something that can be stressful suh as fertility assistance.--Amy
I love Dr. Mansfield and the staff at CARE. They always greet me with a smile, and I feel confident in the care that I receive here.
Rude and money hungry!Read the negative reviews, they are a reflection of the rude staff that work here. Zero compassion, zero professionalism, zero empathy.I do NOT recommend this place. Go elsewhere!
Doctor Mansfield is very informative, she takes time to explain everything...she makes you feel that your important...im very pleased with the way we are being treated look forward to the pregnancy...
I have been thoroughly impressed with the knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have been patient with all my questions and concerns. Dr. Doody is great in explaining everything in terms I actually understand. Thank you!!
The medical and office staff have been so supportive to my husband and I they feel almost like family. They understand our physical and emotional needs.
I would highly recommend Dr. Nackley and the staff at CARE Fertility to anyone needing to go through this process. My only wish was that I could continue care here as everyone has been so nice and accommodating throughout the process.
Thank you to Dr.Doody and the staff excellent service had a tubal reversal in July 2018 and now #Team Dumas Twins are due May 2019
Everyone is always helpful and my questions/phone calls are always answered in a timely manner. The staff is always friendly and I have been able to make appointments around my schedule easily.
Wonderful bedside manner, friendly, polite. Gives great explanations of procedures, and plan of care etc. Everyone in office including MD and other staff are excellent.
Dr Lawrence has been the most informative doctor I have seen during my journey of diagnosing my condition and working towards conceiving a child of my own.
The doctor is very considerate. When she is with you, she is never in a hurry. It always feels like you are the only patient around. .
Incompetent employees/ facility.Coming to a assisted reproductive facility is emotionally difficult as it is, and this facility and it’s employees do not make it an easier experience. If you can save your time and money, do so!
We are just starting our journey with Dr. Thomas but she was such a blessing during my first procedure with them. I am looking forward to their help!
We are pregnant!!! -far exceeded our expectations -would recommend to everyone seeking fertility treatment therapy -we appreciate everything the Doody Team has done for us.
I think everyone has been great that I have encountered thus far. Everyone is friendly and does a great job of explaining all aspects of the procedures.
When I called I was given one quote but when my husband arrived they gave him a totally different quote. Please do your research because this company is always trying to get you for more money
I had a hard time getting appointment with the doctor, I dont think this place is good for working patience, long wait times.Especially the front office sucks.
I had my dream baby boy and this office and staff was awesome throughout the whole process.
I am happy wih the doctor as she spends time with you explaining the process and is not rushing out.
Staff was awsome and very helpful. They gave us the gift of life and ill always be greatful. Thank you
Excellent care from dr doody. She took the time to explain the process and answer questions along the way. Thank you.
Prompt staff responses to phone calls, Dr. Mansfield has been optimistic but practical throughout this process. Jennifer H.
Dr. Doody is very helpful and does well at answering my many questions. His staff is also very helpful.
We have been very grateful to the staff here for all they do and helping us through each process each time we have done this. Melissa LOng
Dr. Thomas and her staff are very nice, and professional. I would reccomend them to friends and family. ~ HE
There are better clinics to go to in the metroplex, I suggest you do that.
Excellent service and good care. My doctor takes personal care and answers all of my questions. //SI
All they wanted was our money. We are going to Dr. Le.
Great and knowledgable staff. Very observant as well!
Money hungry... You can get more accurate medical advice on Google
Horrible experience.
I decided to visit this clinic because it is in network and my insurance covers nearly all the cost. I had a good experience with Dr. Doody and respect his profession. But, I regret the extremely awful experience with his team, especially the billing department. After I completed the 1st treatment, they forgot to send the claim to my insurance and held my deposit ever. It has been over 10 months, and they still refused to refund anything. I had 2 treatments in this clinic, both negative. This unrefunded deposit reminds me the failures everyday, so I and my husband cannot move on. We stop trying.
