Front desk help was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Physician was a different story, not very helpful. Explaining the what she was doing and for what reason would have been nice. Counter help took there time explaining the steps as they were being performed yet the physician seemed her time was more valuable than mine.
Overall my visit today was 10 out of 10. The staff were very welcoming, kind, and user-friendly. I would like to especially highlight the young lady at the front desk. Her customer service was top-notch. From the moment I walked through the door, she greeted me, during our interaction while checking me in she maintained the eye contact, providing reassurance that my medical inquiry was important to her. There was an incident where I had to call back to receive a passcode to see the document from my visit and she provided step-by-step instructions over the phone on how to receive my password without making me feel incompetent. Due to the amazing staff I was able to be seen by a medical professional and get treated in a reasonable in decent time.
The practitioner was professional, friendly, and informative. The time to see the practitioner was quick after payment was received. I also like that they sent secure digital paperwork with all the details of what happened and what to expect.With the latest visit, I had a frustrating issue where the front staff asked for my workers compensation insurance information before I could be seen by the practitioner. I spent 20 minutes attempting to secure this information before giving up and paying by credit card to be able to continue for treatment.Although this part was frustrating, I was ultimately satisfied with what happened because Kinsley, the Director of Occupational Health & Workers Compensation Services, called me directly and apologized for my experience and personally helped me obtain my companys workers compensation insurance and claim number. She also reversed the charges to my credit card. Kinsley told me two things that will prevent these types of events for the future: (1) the front desk staff will be trained on the nuances of workers compensation insurance billing when the customer does not have the info up front; and (2) Kinsley will work to have my company workers compensation insurance in the AFC system so it will be all set should for any future incidents with employees. I really appreciated this level of professionalism and customer service.
I cant say enough how wonderful everyone I came in contact was at Urgent Care Bedford this morning. I made an appointment online and filled out the necessary questionnaire without a problem. I was taken in very shortly after I arrived and was very satisfied with the care I received.A very efficient, friendly office.
Provider was good to carefully examine patient’s asthma condition. But front desk was the worst even seen, she refused the patient to go back to talk again with provider for asking unclear prescription status. Asthma patient could go wrong if no suitable treatment is in place and in time. Obviously, front desk do not care about patient’s health and life. This girl should be fired immediately.
Two of us went there for multiple symptoms. Staff were friendly and competent. We were informed there is nothing major, but number of over the counter medicines and remedies were mentioned. I am disappointed that there were no written details that we were given in the end to take and refer back to. I hope this can be improved.
I had very bad burns from taking antibiotics for pneumonia and then staying out in the sun. The provider was very nice and caring addressing my problems and drained my blisters and cleaned them out thoroughly and put dressings on them. The provider prescribed me another type of antibiotic to deal with infection of the burns and wounds. The only thing I am disappointed about is that I did not get pain medication prescribed for me, when I am in the worst pain of my entire life She should have gone the extra mile and prescribed me pain medicine. But overall it was a 5 star experience

The receptionist was very polite, as was the young lady who did my vital signs. The physician recognized me and was friendly as well as professional. Finally, the young lady at the desk by the physicians area wished me a good day and was very kind. A really outstanding visit!
I have never been to AFC Urgent Care before, but this weekend I had a medical issue that was too severe to wait til Monday,but not severe enough for an Emergency Room. I was very glad that we have AFC Urgent Care here in Bedford.The online appointment and registration system worked flawlessly, and I was very happy with the care I received.
While they are very nice it seems they only have physicians assistants for most appointments. This means it’s very by the book and there’s no actual thinking. So if you have an issue that requires medical skill or experience you are out of luck.
Each time I am at AFC urgent care, I am reminded how lucky I am to have them within five minutes of my house. They are friendly, quick, efficient, and either help us solve whats happening or move us onto the next place that can help. It seems well-run, and we always have a positive experience in multiple locations, but always at the Bedford office as well.
Everyone was friendly and I was able to see the doctor without waiting much time at all. Dr Rebecca Kano took her time answering my questions and contacted the pharmacy to order the medication I needed.
I’m someone who has a lot of medical anxiety and fairly bad luck when it comes to being sick. I’ve always experienced patience, thoroughness, and excellent care from this location. I’ve gone in with some pretty embarrassing conditions and ailments and I’ve always been met with understanding and compassion from every staff member present. My health and I have always been taken seriously. Thank you.
We have received wonderful care here for our two young children. We were seen extremely quickly, our kids examined thoroughly & compassionately, & received quick diagnosis & treatment. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Staff was great - Only issue was I needed x-ray and or ultrasound and the Bedford Location does not have the ability to do it and wanted me to go to another Urgent Care in Stoneham or Waltham. I just chose to go to Lahey

Thank you for seeing me so promptly and competently. We’ve had a cold that turned into a bacterial sinus or throat infection for some of us- not strep though I was checked for that, too. Hopefully the rest of the treatment will kick this out of my body
Horrible! Horrible!! Horrible!!! After weeks of back and forth, and the higher you go from V.P. Lindsay to Pres. Dave, I feel the more inaccurate and misleading the information I was given. From my experience, AFC Urgent Care left me feeling like, if you want accurate information and have two weeks to waste, until they suddenly tell you the same thing youve been telling them for two weeks, well then I feel like this is the place for you!

NPs and staff are always very helpful, thank you. The building could use an accessible front door opener and the double entrance doors are very heavy and hard to open when your in a wheelchair or trying to get your elderly mum through the door .

Perfect for walkins. The whole visit took me like around 45 minutes or maybe less, I waited less than 10 minutes to get in and I was done with everything. They were very nice. Welcome, and helpful. I recommend AFC for everyone

I am so impressed with AFC Urgent Care in Bedford! The staff is so kind, efficient, and welcoming! My husband was seen by Jillian and we cannot say enough about the person-centered and evidence-based care we received here. We were pulled from the waiting room within five minutes and triaged by a very friendly staff person (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name). Triage included asking about chest pain and shortness of breath to accurately inform the sense of urgency for next steps. This person anticipated the orders from the provider so when we saw Jillian she had all the information she needed to make her diagnosis and recommend next steps. Jillian explained every intervention, recommendation, and informed our expectations for next steps and when to seek follow up care. We were in and out quickly and feel confident and comfortable with the care plan. Jillian clearly believes in the vision of AFC urgent care, and now we do, too! Thank you!!
The NP was wonderful, efficient, kind and professional. The MA did not introduce herself or her role until I asked. It was very busy and we had to wait about an hour to be seen. Overall this is a great addition to our healthcare system but needs further improvement.

I’ve always had a great experience here. The staff is friendly, and I am usually taken quickly, with or without an appointment (but still depending on how many people are waiting). Today I went in without an appointment because they were all full (and surprisingly no one was there) and I was in and out in about 15-20 mins from check in to check out. It was nice to not feel like I was waiting forever to be seen, and everyone was very helpful.
We had an appointment and we were taken in on time. The nurse was very sweet to my son and even offered him a freeze pop to help his sore throat. The doctor was very nice, she was patient and answered all of my questions.

The medical assistant was very attentive, caring and detailed in her description regarding my health concerns. The PA attended to me and was very clear and concise with her assessment. I don’t hesitate to use Bedford Urgent Care. They are welcoming, listen and are thorough. It is also a very clean environment.
Experienced great service in the past. However, today I called ahead to find out if it was okay to come in without my physical insurance card. I had my member ID. I was told that was fine. The man at the desk in Bedford gave me a hard time. When he finally put the ID number in the system he said the card was not active. I knew it was active because I had just used it. My husband took up time at work (during a meeting) to call the insurance. They verified all the information. I even provided the man at the desk with a number to call to verify the information. He refused to call. Then called and pretended they hung up on him. He insisted there was nothing he could do and that he didn’t need to talk to the insurance. He said that he couldn’t spend time on the phone with the insurance company. I told him that the insurance could fax information or provide information. He refused and he seemed to not want to provide us with service. He definitely did not want to proceed with our appointment with insurance. He was not trying to solve the issue. He was very quick to write us off. I called another location to set up an appointment with the intent of leaving this location and going there. The other location was able to verify my insurance in a matter of minutes as I made the appointment over the phone (I asked them to check the member ID before I drove to the other location).
Haley was great! She’s very proactive and very patient answering all my questions. We even had some challenges but Haley supported us along the way with our l-693 appointment.It’s our first time visiting AFC Urgent Care in Bedford and our time there was pleasant. The nurse who did our blood work made sure we are comfortable and Dr Rebecca Kano was warm and friendly. We definitely recommend this clinic and will not hesitate to come back.

Check in process was easy and straightforward. Limited amount of wait time. Reception was pleasant and welcoming.I saw the PA and was very disappointed. She rushed through my exam and provided me with a follow up regimen that I could have googled. She seemed bored, agitated, or both, which never feels good when you don’t feel well. I went looking for specific recommendations for my symptoms and left feeling like I wasted my time and money.
Not positive. Very burdensome check in process. When ill…. makes no sense. Puts burden on patient; no customer service, no MD. Left you and went to ER. Got antibiotic!!
The wait was long due to the time of year and a lot of sick people I get it however, I did not receive any paperwork on my way out. I hate that everything’s on the computer now very difficult sometimes to access it.All the doctor did was look up my nose and in my ears and write a prescription I did have a chest x-ray and it showed it was clear which was great.When I mentioned the lump under my mouth she didn’t even feel it. She just said oh you have swollen glands OK I just felt that they could’ve been a little bit more personal, look you in the eye kind of thing I felt very much like ……..Next
I always have a good experience here. From a quick check in to coming in without an appointment, we as a family always find a solution here. We usually don’t have to wait to actually be seen and we can pick up whatever medications we need at the cvs down the road. They also are able to assess a situation and let us know if we need to go to the ER if it’s something beyond their operations -which happened to me once. Overall a good experience and I’m glad they are around.
I went into urgent care Sunday around right around the first quarter of the Super Bowl after 2 days of abdominal pain. I thought it was food poisoning or a gastrointestinal bug. After a quick examination and urine test they sent me to the ER (Winchester Hosp). There I had a CAT scan where they diagnosed appendicitis. I watched the end of the Super Bowl in my exam room and about a half hour after was wheeled into surgery to have my burst appendix removed surgically with a laparoscopic appendectomy. Going to Urgent Care at that time was the best decision I ever made. I had thought about waiting another night to see if things would improve but that is what a knucklehead would do.
Went in for ear pain for a cold. Was seen and checked very quickly and rushed out. she didn’t do any type of exam. Never looked at my throat or felt my glands etc..
Took my daughter for an xray and overall the care was quick and great. My only complaint is they were playing music in the waiting room that was not appropriate and had cussing in it which I didn’t appreciate with my 7 yr old listening.
Great experience here doing an immigration physical. The immigration coordinator (Haley) was outstanding, and the civil surgeon (Kristina) was very professional and efficient. Haley was super helpful navigating the assembly of vaccine records and the rest of the process. Everyone at the desk during visits was also very kind and helpful. 10/10, would absolutely recommend to anyone who needs an immigration physical.

I went in Sunday morning with suspected strep. I hadnt made an appointment, but they got me in quickly. Everyone was very friendly and quick. The woman at the front desk was particularly helpful and friendly. There was an issue with my insurance, and before I had time to contact them myself, she had reached out to someone else within her organization to find a solution. What was truly incredible was that this morning (two days later), they called to find out how I was feeling. My PCP has NEVER done that for me. I was incredibly touched and would absolutely recommend that others visit.
The clinic is convenient located in an outdoor mall with 4 reserved parking spots right in front. The interior is modern and airy. I first met a registered nurse, followed by a doctor. They both were efficient and courteous. After half an hour, the diagnosis was completed and a prescription sent to my local pharmacy. I got a follow-up call after two days. My problem was cured after one week.

I was a walk-in that night and had to wait a little extra but my treatment and advice was well worth the wait. Never fun going to Urgent Care, but the people who work at the Bedford location are great! They are super friendly and made me laugh when I was pretty nervous. Super helpful, quick and nice. What more could you ask for from your town urgent care on a holiday weekend?!

For travel vaccinations, I would say only come here if you are desperate. It’s $85 for a quick visit. And if you need something like a typhoid vaccine, you need to go way in advance, pay in advance, then wait for it to get shipped to the facility then pay $150. By contrast, my doctor put an order in at cvs and the typhoid vaccine was filled same day for $130. They inflate the cost and it takes more time.
Why on earth are appointments required if you have to wait literally an hour and a half to be seen. The ER would have taken the same amount of time. Literally spent the entire afternoon with an 18mo old waiting to see a PA for five minutes. So to sum it up, do not go to this urgent care. It is incredibly inefficient and to top it off, the care is as mediocre at best. I knew more than the PA with my TV MD. And, I will not go into the way she spoke to me and my husband as if we had no working knowledge of anything. The funny part is my husband is actually a physician working at Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago. Implicit bias at its best. Don’t go. Find another one.
I was feeling miserable with high fever, headache and severe cough and went to AFC urgent care Bedford, MA. I had overall great experience. All the team members were helpful. Quickly I was taken in and tests performed. They were to confirm outcome of tests in 30 min but I got phone call quickly with diagnosis and course of action.. prescription was already sent to CVS . With the treatment already in progress, I am feeling much better . Stephanie my care provider also followed next day by a phone call. I am very happy with overall experience.

I scheduled an appointment online and was brought back fairly quickly. I had to wait about 40 minutes before seeing the physical assistant. I was not kept informed of the delay. The physical assistant was knowledgeable and professional. After my X-rays, she popped back quickly but did not take time to explain my discharge instructions.
I’ve been coughing up gunk for a week and decided to go in because my child had just been treated for walking pneumonia. After being checked I was told they won’t prescribe any antibiotics without an x-ray. The problem is they don’t have an x-ray and I’d need to drive 30-45 mins away, wait for an x-ray, then get one to get an antibiotic treatment.My son literally just had this. I’m coughing up green gunk. I’m asking for antibiotics and willing to risk the fact it’s not 100% without an x-ray versus wasting up to 3 more hours of my day. Just prescribe it and don’t waste my time.I also asked for a flu shot and didn’t get one.
Great experience - welcoming and clean clinic, staff were all lovely and helpful throughout, from reception to nurses to support staff. Haley specifically was awesome for immigration related requirements - very supportive and informed, and explained everything up front. Would highly recommend!

Doctor tried to make a simple bacterial infection into something way bigger. I had to insist on being prescribed antibiotics. Two days later, I’m better. If I’d listened to the provider I’d be still pounding ibuprofen and going to get a series of expensive tests.
We visited twice and I had very good impression about our first visit very clean and friendly staff. However today not so much. My son had a fever and he complained about his ear so we took him. I don’t judge the physician decisions because she’s the expert but the way she treated my son made me very uncomfortable. He’s a 5 year old with pain in his ear. After the check, she said he has ear wax so she couldn’t see anything. The nurse came in to clean it up but no obvious result. The nurse even said for kids his age, it can be hard but the physician insisted to clean it up otherwise she couldn’t do anything. So more cleaning by spraying water in the ear and eventually my son started crying and resisting pretty hard. Instead of suggesting something else or maybe just stop. More splash and water got everywhere, which made me super uncomfortable. I just felt that she didn’t know how to deal with kid… also I said several times I did covid test at home so it might not be covid but they just kept suggesting covid test and flu test. Eventually we did test my son but I was like… why? Anyway, we ended up leaving with a ear drop prescription. Not coming back for sure.
We have already used UC Bedford several times for our son and have had very good experiences. The medical history was taken very carefully and time was taken to find out the exact causes. Both the nurses and the medical team were competent and friendly. After 2-3 days, we were also asked again by phone how we were feeling and asked for general feedback. We can unreservedly recommend the UC Bedford on the basis of these visits.
I normally do not leave reviews, but I had a great experience coming to this AFC in Bedford. The staff was extremely helpful, and kind. They were able to answer any questions I had or any concerns with no issue. If I ever have any sort of health problems in the future I’ll be sure to come back here!
Setting up appt was easy. Facility was clean and welcoming. Plenty of parking. Staff was professional and friendly. My PA was attentive and she listened to me. In the end I felt that I was well taken care of. I would recommend Bedford AFC Urgent Care.

The front doors are extremely heavy and difficult to open. There are 2 sets of doors. I had to wait outside and wave at the receptionist till she saw me and came to help. I also needed help leaving.This is a health care facility and should be accessible for people with disabilities.

Had a reservation but still waited a long time. Came in for RSV and Covid tests which take no more than 15 minutes. Was stuck for 2 hours. Not even crowded. Not ok.

Only go there if it’s an absolute emergency. They don’t accept insurance for anything and you have to pay out of pocket. Not to mention the receptions act money hungry. Insisting you pay before you get anything done. The service was mad slow I had a scheduled appointment at 3:30 didn’t leave until 5:30. I was in the empty waiting room for about an hour. I was getting one shot. That’s it. They didn’t even have to check vitals.Anyway don’t go here unless you absolutely desperately. And ends up it’s not affordable health care.

After being unable to find a an appointment anywhere for a COVID test, a friend recommended I go to Urgent Care in Bedford. They did not have any appointments available, but their website indicated walk-ins welcome.My daughter and I arrived an hour after they opened and only waited ten minutes to get registered. The receptionist was very friendly and a pleasure to work with. Once registered we were able to sit in our car and wait to be tested, which only took twenty minutes.Received a text within two hours with results.Service and care were excellent!
We had an absolutely horrendous experience at AFC Bedford and Burlington. We waited with our three year old, who had shut his fingers in a door, for three hours to be brought into a room. When I kept asking for updates on wait times I was told “ I don’t know” and “five minutes”. We were then in a room we continued to be told 5 minutes, and it was closer to 30. The person who roomed us asked my three year old to rate his pain 1-10, which I explained was not age appropriate. Once the doctor came in, for barely two minutes, she said we needed an X-ray, which I had called before presenting to the urgent care to ensure they had pediatric X-ray capabilities. They brought my son back for an X-ray and the machine was broken. They then sent us to Bedford. We were brought immediately into a room and quickly got an X-ray there, however the doctor then said the doctor at Burlington would call me. I explained I did not have service and asked for her to tell us what was wrong. She explained. Barely answered questions and sent us on our way, without the X-ray imagine, which I drove back to get later that night. I then had my sons PCP look at the image the next day and they missed a fracture in a finger they did not even indicate had an injury. Two different doctors at AFC locations missed this. I have also now been trying to reach a manage to discuss my expunge who I was told would get back to me urgently last Friday. Absolutely appalling care. Don’t go here. Especially not with a child, would have been better of in an emergency room.
Had to find another provider to give my daughter her flu shot, as there was some supply issue with her pediatrician. That office told me to go to one of the pharmacies, but I couldn’t find an open slot (except in Boston or South Shore). So we came to AFC as a walk-in. The staff was awesome…told us the process and what to expect. Explained the different forms and gave us an approximate wait time. My daughter got her shot relatively quickly too. Highly recommend them, and there are multiple locations. Would have been quicker if I made an appt on their website. But still really quick for a Monday evening. Really appreciate their efforts!
Such a convenient way to see a doctor! Same day appointments so when you’re sick you can find out what’s wrong right away. The team is professional and nice.
Waited about forty five minutes for my appointment. The person who saw me tested me for Covid-19 and flu. Both negative. Did not do anything for my fever. Next week I saw someone else and found out that my fever had morphed into pneumonia
I had an excellent experience with AFC urgent care!!!;I needed a more timely result for my PCR test as other places required longer times. It was returned in an hour. It was great,!I appreciate your timely manner!
Test was quick and easy to schedule. Instructions were unclear, however. I made an appointment for a COVID test. The confirmation made no mention of staying in my car. When I arrived at the facility, there was a sign saying that was what I should do. I had to ask the receptionist for clarification.
They need to be more friendly with people and they need more training on telephone manners
Can’t say enough about the girls who work the front desk here. They are so professional and friendly . I think they all deserve a bonus or a raise for everything they deal with. Just amazing! The doctors and nurses are great. I just love the option of going to a local urgent care facility, rather than sitting in an ER waiting room for hours.
Starting out as a good experience later turned into a nightmare of misinformation and confusion. 05/27/2023, about 3:30pm, the doctor’s examination for hernia or muscle spasm revealed no problem. But a possible problem with my spleen. A work order, I believed, was sent to Emerson Hospital, radiology dept. Arriving at Emerson, there was no work order and I was submitted to Emergency. There, they wanted to examine me for a fall from a to z. (?) After a total wait of over 2 1/2 hrs for a doctor, I could not wait no longer and left Emerson.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Having an appointment and registering in advance means no paperwork to fill out on arrival. Called quickly and evaluated by a nurse and nurse practitioner. Thorough and competent.
Walk in Service is garbage don’t ever go there. Reception ladies totally 😞 bad behavior Urgent care doctor take 1 hour or more to see Vs other urgent care 15 min they will get you out of the clinic. FYI after all this waiting and filling out forms Nurse practitioner (NP) will see you not even doctor.good luck who ever sick and go there
Too slow. Had to wait for more than an hour just to take two swabs. There was no crowd. At peak covid testing, the tests were done 1000 times faster. 2 stars because the results came on time and the staff were friendly. I will never understand why is it so relaxed when its called urgent care.
I had a great experience with AFC Bedford. I injured my finger on labor day weekend and they were the closest urgent care that was open. The wait time was minimal and probably faster than an ER. The PA Raksa was very reassuring, kind and polite and patched my finger up well. I give her many thumbs ups! The following day I was able to get a follow up visit done with the doctor, who changed the wound dressing and provided instructions of recovery and then they called me up the next day to ensure that all was well. In all they provided great care and service. Highly recommend!
Staff is uneducated on how to handle any medical card with an accompanying 49cfr intrastate medical exemption waiver required for certain conditions by the CMV. Also about 30$ higher than what most occupational services cost to perform the same DOT exam I asked for my money back so I can go to the more reputable and knowledgeable hospital that I normally go to in Cambridge, was basically told to go pound sand by the nurse at the desk and billing department never followed up. 10 years with no issues renewing medical cards until I had to deal with AFC. I’d rather drive further to my old doctor. If you are anything less than 100% healthy with no pre-existing condition do not waste your time. Iv never had to make four visits to any dot examiner.
AFC Urgent Care Bedford MA was extremely well run. They take online booking appointments. They practice safe healthy distancing. Everyone I interacted with who works at this office was extremely polite, helpful and caring.
The staff here are AMAZING!!!! Wonderful with communication, friendly, clean, and on task! I was having symptoms of a UTI and my doctors office and staff were so rude and inattentive to how much discomfort I was in! Now, I understand there is an entire pandemic going on, people are stressed, doctors are understaffed, etc..... But these people here treated me better then my own primary care. I called them in tears explaining to them how I was trying to get in contact with my doctor for days and they took me right in. Simone from Bedford was so helpful, caring and understanding!!!!! She helped me guide me to get an appointment and everything else. I am grateful there are still some calm, patient, compassionate people during these difficult times. Beth was also extremely nice, informative and on task. She had a wonderful attitude! Overall great experience thank you to all your wonderful staff!!

I highly recommend the AFC Urgent Care in Bedford. Ive been here twice, the first was for a flu diagnosis and the second time was for a nasty laceration on my hand. Both were great experiences but the second really stands out because of how amazing the staff were. I showed up right before the clinic was supposed to close and was quickly whisked back to an exam room. I was immediately greeted by Raksa Son, PA-C and her MA Bianca. Bianca helped stem the bleeding and cleaned the wound before Raksa closed it up with 8 very neat stitches. They took amazing care of me throughout this ordeal for which Im very grateful.Thank you Raksa!Thank you Bianca and good luck with your RN training!- Gavin
Was shocked to be able to get tested after waiting only 10 mins - with no appointment - for my entire family of 5. We had the results within an hour. Great job, AFC! We are very grateful. All the other places had multi-hour waits. 👍🏻👏🏻

After three visits and one more to go, I can confidently say that AFC Urgent Care Bedford is OUTSTANDING! Everyone has been kind, friendly, compassionate, cheerful, and professional. I received skilled & efficient care each time from Kim, Sara, and Courtney. Karissa was also wonderful, as well as another young lady who said she liked my outfit (which was actually pajamas, lol😆 Lisa was very patient and accommodating, and I was impressed at her calm courtesy when reamed out unfairly. I took my 3yo son on a Saturday afternoon for sudden onset severe ear pain after he had been dealing with fever/cold (not COVID/flu) for the past week. The PA (John) was really fantastic. He was thorough and kind, and was great with a 3yo kid who felt like garbage. I am so happy we have this place right in town. They’ve been lifesavers on many occasions!
We visited the AFC Urgent Care facility in Bedford the experience was fantastic! They were very understanding, quick to help & provided excellent care.
I visited UrgentCare Bedford on March 29. No wait so I got right in. Everyone in the staff was friendly and helpful. I forgot the name of the lady who took my vitals but she was really cool! Tierney the nurse practitioner was friendly and very thorough! Based on this experience I’ll be back for sure!!!
I took an appointment on the web and went to the center at my scheduled time. After checkin, I waited for a while before I was called by nurse into a store room as there were no rooms available. A bunch of questions and swab tests were done while standing in the narrow store room with no seats. Finally room was available and I was moved there. After waiting there for more than an hour all by myself, I came out and was asking the nurse at reception on why it’s taking so long. As she was explaining , another nurse came by and almost started yelling that they are busy in a very confrontational tone. I was not even talking to her and just wanted to remind the receptionist that I have been waiting. This was completely uncalled for. I then go back to the room and the doctor shows up immediately after. Without any other pleasantries I am asked- how long have you been coughing. I was not even coughing then was asked so what is the problem. She did not look any of the prior notes. In the course of conversation, an OTC drug was mentioned which I asked for in writing but was told to just ask the pharmacist instead. Overall a very bad experience to treat a patient.
I needed an X-ray for a knee injury I received skiing less than 24 hours prior.I wasnt informed by any staff at any point that they had no X-ray tech on duty! Seems like a money grab to me, as I would never have registered just for an lukewarm, less that thorough( as an experienced RN I will say this) physical exam by the provider who saw me. And then Iwas told after the exam that I need to travel to either Burlington or Waltham to get an X-ray! Ugh.The staff who interviewed and examined me were lovely people; thats a plus.
UPDATE 8/4/23: New very complex form to fill out on your phone, including pictures of both sides of your drivers license and insurance card. Although they already had most of this information for me. Once that was done, they took care of my problem with ease. Convenient and fast. Couldnt get a Dr appointment today so used them. Excellent!..UPDATE: the following day I had extreme pain in my belly, which is why I went here. I went to the ER and had a severe gall bladder problem. The ER was surprised that they didnt even run any blood checks. Whether my problem got very bad in the next 24 hours or they overlooked something I dont know. As they say this is not an ER. Be sure you know what service type you need...REVIEW: This was my first time using any of these clinics. I was pleasantly surprised. There was a simple one-page form to fill out. Half of the information you did not need to supply. It was a Saturday morning and it was a little busy, but I only had to wait 10 minutes. It is nice having a screen with the list of people ahead of you and the estimated wait times. The nurse took my Vital Signs and asked a number of questions and entered my answers into a tablet. A few minutes later the PA came in and asked some more detailed questions and did more of a physical exam. While they didnt nail the problem exactly, they ruled out a number of more serious issues which was my initial concern. She gave me some advice and written instructions and said if I wasnt better in a day or two to go to the ER or my doctor. It was covered by my insurance, I just had a copay. Well worth it! My experience here was as good or better as I have ever had at any doctors office. No appointment was needed, a minimal wait, and I felt they were a lot more concerned about my well-being then a typical doctors office.
Fast, efficient and medically competent diagnosis provided. I highly recommend.

I was having no luck being seen by my PCP. Then had trouble finding an urgent care facility that had XRay tech on site that day. I contacted AFC Bedford. The person on the phone was calm and reassuring. I arrived and everyone was kind. I was brought in to be seen in no time. The PA who examined me was thorough and explained everything. I would not hesitate to go back. Thank you AFC Bedford

Everyone there was so friendly, patient, and helpful. I was very impressed with the service I got. It took a whole time to get all the wax out of my ears, but they kept telling me don’t worry will keep at it until we finish. They did. I couldn’t be more pleased.
Even in these crazy times, AFC Bedford made my visit today quick and efficient. Their enhanced safety protocols around COVID put me at ease and assured me that my safety, and the safety of their employees, is a top priority. The staff is professional, their check-in process was simple, and all of my questions were answered during my appointment. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
The clinic was clean and all of the covid precautions were in place. The staff was extremely courteous and professional. I went to ACF Urgent Care because my husband had recommended it to me. I was feeling quite ill with upper respiratory symptoms. I had made an appointment the night before. When I arrived the next day for my appointment, the waiting room had several people with appointments and several walk-ins. The front desk made sure that everyone’s issues were addressed and were very calm and kind under the sort of pressure that only a pandemic can bring forward. I was very impressed with the measured and thoughtful way that they treated each person seeking care or seeking testing.I was seen by three different professionals( vitals, medical history and test). They were thorough and answered my questions with clarity. I received my tests results later that evening via email.I was very glad that I went this to this urgent care clinic and I would recommend it.
Tatiana, the Nurse Practitioner we saw for our 2 year old son who had a medical emergency due to an allergic reaction was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and professional. She assessed and treated us in an extremely expeditious manner and explained everything very clearly. We are so grateful to her and the staff at AFC Urgent Care for their excellent care of our son in the midst of a scary situation.
There is no other location I’d rather go when I am feeling under the weather. Their service was outstanding & timing was perfect. I was in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes. Let’s not forget to mention the cleanliness! Definitely recommend.
When I book an appointment online and give all information including current medications, allergies, medical history, insurance card copies, drivers license, etc., my expectation as a customer is that you would make every effort to make sure I am seen at my appointment time. I think it was too much to expect, as your staff very condescendingly told me, when I reached on time, that they couldnt even tell me how long the estimated wait would be.They were very prompt in taking my credit card number but then proceeded to ignore me for an hour. When I was ushered into the exam room, I sat there for another 10 minutes. This is not just mismanagement but a complete lack of compassion.
Cut on hand,needed a few stitches. After paperwork at desk she said “shortly”. Ok what’s that mean? She said about 20 minutes. 20 minutes later go into exam room. Girl takes history, BP and temp. Tells me they’ll be with me soon shortly whatever. She walks out and closes door. 32 minutes later I’m still watching you tube. Leave room Three people out in hall and they ignore me. Ask them what’s up? Tell me it’s busy. Ok they should have told me after 10 minutes waiting in exam room. Walked out and told girl at front desk don’t bill me.
Wonderful, clean facility with friendly staff. Was able to book an appointment the same day and the process was a breeze. The clinic is also located in a plaza so there are many other options you have in terms of shopping, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend!!
I arrived at urgent care at 7:30 on a Tuesday night With symptoms of dizziness and light headedness that had been constant over the weekend.Ashley and Sarah Were Very nice and extremely thorough.After a few eliminations such as covid, I was diagnosed with Vertigo. My prescription was sent to my local pharmacy. After 2 doses and the exercises I can already feel the difference. I know they close at 8 PM. But never felt rushed at 8:40 I left and I thank them both very much.
The care and bedside manner given by the PA I saw was absolutely horrendous. She saw me for one minute max and decided what she was going to decide before having “treated me.” She didn’t even conduct a physical exam just sent me to another facility for lung X-rays because Bedford wasn’t able to do so. Awful
Primary care could not fit him in to be seen same day, so sent us to ER or urgent care. picked urgent care, always less wait, and problem did not seem to be worthy of hospital visit. went in to get checked out, the doctor found sth in mouth of patient that needs immediate biopsy. we probably would have never checked it t otherwise

In my experience It was awesome I got checked for Covid19 and didnt wait long. They take you into a small room,ask a few questions, check your breathing ,then have you wait in the car. They go to your car and swab ya after. If I had one complaint it would be at all the people who werent wearing masks around the hospital who werent patients.The staff took every safety precaution and where kind,quick,and efficient. I found out within 30 min that I was neg and appreciate their hard work and efforts.
The testing was quick and the office staff at the clinic were helpful. The patient portal failed to deliver my test results. I had to correspond with the help desk for two hours. I ended up driving back to the clinic to request my results on paper. If you are using this for travel and it is time sensitive, do NOT assume that the patient portal will work. It was really frustrating.
My visit to the AFC in Bedford was a very smooth and enjoyable experience; all the Medical Assistants, especially Alyssa, were great! Would highly recommend to anyone.
We did covid testing at AFC Urgent care, Bedford MA. They were very efficient and friendly. We got same day appointments and the process took only 5 minutes. They even messaged me that I can go in for an early appointment since they were ahead of schedule. They will come out to our car and do the testing. We don’t even have to walk in. Great experience overall!

Amazing experience - from the online reservation form, to how organized and prepared the drive-up process was, to the friendliness of the testers, to the quickness of the process itself (done in 15 minutes, never left the car), to the speed in which I got the results, just an overall perfect customer experience. Thank you to all of the amazing front-line workers here who are out there doing this work every day with a smile on their face (well, they were all wearing masks so not certain about that! :-P)
Took 10 minutes to get me checked in despite making an appointment and submitting all my info ahead of time. Waited 30 minutes to have someone take my vitals and then tell me I needed to drive to their Stoneham location for an x-ray. Would not recommend; call ahead to ask what services they have at each location on the day you’d like to attend.
My experience at the urgent care facility in Bedford, MA. was excellent. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and professional. There was nearly no wait to be seen and I was very satisfied with the results. Also they have free coffee and a nice waiting room.
The website appointment system and humans on the other end of the phone werent much help to reserve an appointment for a Covid-19 test. My wife called 3 times and got minimal info each time. So far, were at 1 star... She drove to the facility and spoke to a Medical Asst. who was extremely helpful. We returned later on for the test and the MA who administered the tests was very nice and informative. That was a 5-star experience that averages out to 3 stars.
Terrible experience. Front desk very unfriendly, does not explain or answer to your questions. She did not give me my Driver’s license or insurance card, only when I asked for it back. Long wait. When finally seen, they insisted on doing a COVID test and flu test even though I had told them I was negative. When doctor arrived, they did not check me and only told me to drink ibuprofen for the pain, something for the cough and allergy. Today my symptoms are worse and I’ll have to go to a different UC again to be seen. Do not recommend this place.

Ive been here for multiple times and the first few times is positive or neutral experience. However, the most recent one for a covid test is awful. The waiting time is very long. When I walk in, the receptionist doesnt inform me the waiting time. And after about 1.5 hours wait and it finally come to my turn, they suddenly find I need wait more time because I need a triage which is not ready yet. And a guy come much later than me for a test just enter without any problem. I am pretty sure people before me with symptom entered with no delay. And the staff is very rude, reluctant to explain a little bit except for urging me to take a sit. I feel they basically want you to sit there and wait whatever long without any questions like a dummy. I truly think the front dest staff should be more professional, especially in a busy day.
DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!!my husband called this place beforehand and the staff there encouraged him to make an appointment to get the prescription. During the appointment , the PA was EXTREMELY RUDE and told him that he could not get the prescription and SHE HUNG UP on him RIGHT AWAY!!! There were several problems with this clinic:1. they never sent us a doctors note after the appointment and we had no idea what was going on.2. when we called, the staff there told us we could get the prescription if we booked the appointment. and apparently this was WRONG. now we have to pay $$ for an extremely unpleasant appointment only to find out we couldnt get the prescription after all. and they took ZERO responsibility for it and we have to pay the bill.3. the PA there was shockingly shockingly RUDE!4. AND they charge us the full amount for this 20 seconds appointment where we only got yelled at!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???We will definitely report this.

I visited last week and was helped by Tiffany. During my visit, she gave me all of her attention and made sure I had all my questions and concerns answered. The level of empathy and respect I reieved was spectacular. I hope to never have to come back, but if I do I know im in good hands.
The staff at the AFC Urgent Care in Bedford was extremely helpful when I came in for stitches. Even though there was a wait, I did receive thorough care with all my questions answered.
One of the few clinics I found that did both drive-up (didnt have to go inside) as well as Rapid (result in hours not days) Covid test. Online registration and making appointment was easy. Day of test, staff was great. Phone response was a problem, but considering whats going on, I still give 5 stars.
I’ve used AFC several times for rapid COVID testing. Staff are professional, efficient, and welcoming. The online scheduling system is quick and easy. The test was just as easy! I parked out front and a staff member came right out to my car.
Everyone, receptionist, nurses etc were very kind, patient and caring. Better care than my own pcp that I’ve seen for twenty years! Nurse Ashley was nice enough to call to share test results since I was anxious about results AND technically challenged @ 72 yrs old..Above and beyond service & would highly recommend. Staff should be very proud of their work especially during these scary Covid times..Thank you!

I have never been to an urgent care facility I really thought that I was going to have a long wait and it was going to be much like an emergency room experience. Instead of staff was very kind and curtised courteous very efficient the service was fast I had just gotten out of work so I was so tired with my daughter who had a double ear infection the staff made her feel very comfortable I would recommend using these places if you are unable to get to your primary care doctor or using it if you just need a doctor they were great.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR A COVID TEST.I went here because it was the only covid testing location in Eastern MA that had an appointment within the week I needed one. I waited 4 days from when I signed up for their first available appointment. There was nobody else there and the test took half an hour. They made me fill out a ton of paperwork that I had already filled out online and took my ID and credit card inside for twenty minutes even though I had already given them photos and card information online too. Then they gave me the nasal swab test, which was fine. When I had finished all of the paperwork and test and was about to leave, they told me the test would cost $200. The MassGov and AFC websites both said testing for individuals without health insurance is free. After waiting 4 days for the appointment, driving 45 minutes to get there, filling out paperwork and giving them all of my cards, this was the first time it was indicated anywhere that the test would not, in fact, be free. It has now been 5 days since I had the test taken and IN SPITE OF PAYING $200 FOR IT I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE TEST RESULTS BACK 5 DAYS LATER.Do not go here. Find one of the free testing sites and go regardless of if you have an appointment.
We were in and out, after 4 stitches, in less than an hour. Everyone that treated my son was amazing, kind, very thorough and efficient. This was my second visit to this location, my first experience was just as good. Love having this right around the corner. Such a time saver!
I came to AFC Urgent Care at Bedford to get my immigration medical work done. The entire process, from the additional immunization shots to the documentation, was very seamless and took less than 2 weeks. AFC Bedford staff was very responsive and easy to work with. I would come to AFC Bedford again!
I am NEVER going back to this place! They only care about their money. My credit card (on file) was charged without even calling me at my cell phone number (also on file)... not even 30 days after the statement was sent. I called the billing department to complain and the representative couldnt care less about losing a customer, she started telling me how I signed an agreement that allows them to charge my card whenever it pleases them! This is the first time in my long history of visiting health care centers that a clinic does this to me.. I pay my bills but I do like to pay them from the account of my preference. Nothing against the healthcare providers but their third party billing company sucks.
Wonderful experience receiving the first dose of the covid vaccine. Was quick, convenient and very safe. Received all needed documents and was observed for 15 minutes in my car. Happy to have access to their services!
Dr. Albert and his nurse, Cory, were absolutely terrific when working with our grandson. Their sense of compassion and patience were so appreciated. I would not hesitate to go here again. The office staff were great, too.
I preface this by saying that I brought my 6 year old, who is on the spectrum, here with a minor eye irritation.The clinic was very easy to navigate to and it had convenient designated parking right in front. My child and I were immediately greeted with warm smiles and quickly attended to. The process to verify our insurance and full out paperwork was pretty easy and the waiting area is clean. They offer a variety of coffee, tea and bottle water while you wait. Also there were several TVs, soft music playing, and free Wi-Fi available.We were brought to a room within 15-20 minutes of arriving and the room was clean and spacious and the staff member put on a movie to help ease my childs visible discomfort of having to go to a doctor. The staff member was very attentive to me as I answered her questioned and the intake/triage process went smoothly.The PA was professional, patient, and quick with examining and diagnosing my child. She quickly and expertly explained his condition, how to treat it and immediately sent a prescription to our pharmacy, as well as, provide us with paperwork about my childs visit and a note for his school.We never felt rushed, the entire staff gave a sincere goodbye and my child left happier then when we arrived.While we have a primary care physician, we were not able to get an immediate appointment. We are very content with the convenience and professionalism of AFC Urgent Care Bedford.

I am very disappointed in the service we received. My daughter went for a Covid test and was told she would have results in a day or so.On the day of her appointment she did not get seen until 45 minutes later than her appointment time. I thought maybe they were short handed because every place is right now so it wasnt a big deal. However, it has been 4 days and we have no test results. Ive called at least 5 times and no one answers. Ive left 2 messages with my call back info and email but no response. Weve had to cancel dentist and doctor appointments because we didnt have the results. Just a very frustrating experience.

I had an EXCELLENT experience at AFC Bedford. We were going for a Covid Test but they carefully asked other questions to determine what was happening. Both people that came to the car were pleasant, professional, and dedicated! Really impressed.
Just got a rapid COVID test. What a great experience. So easy and quick and painless. Everyone was friendly but direct and completely covered with their ppe. And it was easy to schedule an appointment on line. Hope I don’t need to go back for another test anytime soon but if I have to I will definitely go back to AFC Bedford.
Never received my 30 minute check in text, went in 15 minutes early and was told my email must not have worked. Many people, some obviously ill in the waiting area and constantly being told we are running a little late. A great deal of confusion as people approach the desk who have been waiting as to who was checked in and who they were seeing! My 3:45 appt was not done until at least 4:45 after I complained in the waiting room. Very disorganized and unprofessional!
So glad my friend recommended AFC urgent care. We were in and out in about 25 minutes. Everyone was very nice. The P.A. was great. Professional and friendly. Diagnosed quickly that ear pain was not an infection but most likely allergy related.
This review is only because they are incredibly understaffed or are horribly uncoordinated. I had an appointment for a covid test at 2:30 and didn’t leave until 4:30. I appreciate the work they are doing and everything but if you need to go to an AFC go to a different one.
The first part of my visit for a PCR Covid test which I needed for travel ($150) went well. I had an appointment at 12:45, and the clinician was right on time coming to my car and taking my sample. She told me Id have a text in 30 minutes if it was negative and a call if it was positive.The frustration was the six hours and at least as many calls (from me to them) with no call or text - only the explanation that the lab was backed up. And, after 6 pm they stopped answering the phone.If only I had known that AFC had sent me an email 5 hours earlier (2:45 pm) inviting me to view my medical record! When I accepted the invite I was able to see a document that was hard to decipher but had one critical line: SARS-Cov-NAAT: Negative.This PDF ultimately did the trick to get me onto my flight but the lack of clear communication was frustrating - specifically: telling me the lab was backed up when they had sent my results via email, not texting as they said they would (I never did receive a text) and not answering the phone after 6 pm when they are open until 8 pm.I hold AFC and its workers in extremely high regard for providing this critical service at a reasonable price, but am submitting this review to (1) guide others urgently needing their covid test results and (2) hopefully impress upon AFC the need to address these communication issues.
I needed a COVID test to travel within 24 hours so I went to AFC Urgent Care Bedford and asked if I would receive my results within 24 hours. The cheerful woman at the desk reassured me that the hefty $150 fee was due to their new lab that provides rapid testing results. I was relieved and she had me complete my registration on my phone, including my email address and telephone number. I was astonished a week later when I still had not received any testing results. I had looked on the AFC Urgent Care Bedford website and attempted (without success) to reach them by phone all for nothing so I went back. Oh they said at the desk. Yes in fact there does appear to be a problem transmitting email addresses. The lab (NOT AFC Urgent Care Bedford but their provider they took great pains to observe, washing their hands of all responsibility) is not receiving the email addresses and consequently not sending the results. They are just taking their $150 cheerfully and sending the customers on their way. I strongly recommend giving the AFC Urgent Care Bedford a wide berth for COVID testing or any other services and going elsewhere. Their disregard for their patients requirements verges on fraud.

I had a really good experience with the ladies at Bedford Urgent Care. I had some really back neck pain for over a week, the meds she prescribed me helped a lot within a few hours of leaving. They even checked in on me 2 days later to see how I was feeling. Very convenient and helpful, Ill be back for sure!
My visit was seamless. I made an appt and was taken right on time. The NP was lovely, gentle and knowledgeable.
Sent two different prescriptions to two different pharmacy’s. Ended up not being the medicine I needed. This isn’t the first time either, happen to me another time. Told me they were going to send in a prescription. They never did and then closed up for the night. The nurses that work there were very nice though.
What a place! Perfect if you want to get top quality health care that’s covered by your insurance and not have to deal with the wait of the emergency room! Vaccinations for going abroad can be done quickly without having to wait months! Lindsay and Shannon are great as is the health care professionals that take care of you here! Highly recommend them!
Everyone at AFC was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The waiting area is serene, and the free coffee or tea was a very nice touch on an extremely cold day. Ive been to other urgent care clinics before, but this one is the absolute best.
The staff was pleasant and good to work with. My appointment at 3:45pm left me going home at 5:30pm. Needless to say, it took too long. It was an hour wait to get into the room, then it took a while to get seen. It seemed they were overbooked and or short staffed.
I had a really scary health situation, I thought I had Covid, I literally could not breathe, my oxygen was down, fever, the whole nine yards. I had never been to AFC Bedford and the only thing I remember was how incredible the staff was. Danica was the receptionist who checked me in, incredibly beautiful girl who was as friendly and compassionate as could be. I saw the practicioner, the other nurses, all beyond my expectations. This is absolutely a 20/10.
Amazing visit! Great young smart doctor working with a superbly professional and friendly medical technician. Needed diagnosis for Covid/flu/rapid pulse—satisfied and received script for Tamiflu.
My Mom had the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine today. The whole process took 20 min total including 15 min wait after injection. Very friendly professional and helpful staff and excellent process organization. I would definitely recommend AFC Bedford.
I decided to visit the AFC Urgent Care in Bedford this past weekend, and was very pleased with the service. I didnt have an emergency, but I did have some lingering health concerns. Concerns that might get me an appointment with my primary care physician in a month or two if Im lucky. Once admitted, there was a quick form to fill out similar to any medical office and within 5 minutes I was being seen. After my appointment I received follow up phone calls to notify me of the three unique blood test results (which came in two days later), and to offer additional recommendations if my health doesnt improve. They were nice enough to send the blood lab results to my primary care physician as well.Its a very nice facility, and the service was both pleasant and efficient. Definitely go if you have any general health concerns, and dont want to wait to see your doctor. Saved me a lot of time and headache!
Very good experience. Second visit this year. Prompt, professional, great intake experience and excellent response and communication from PA. Good results with treatment. Im so glad we have this in Bedford, especially morning hours or weekends, especially with this team - full confidence in their abilities. Thanks.

Nice people, clean and service is good...
I was stung by at least 5 yellow jackets and received excellent care here and had no wait to see a nurse practitioner. I got an EpiPen shot and some other meds and was sent to the ER immediately. The ER nurses and doctor who saw me were very impressed with the detailed notes taken by the nurse practitioner Tiana. If I have another medical issue or someone I know does, I will be sure to recommend AFC Urgent Care in Bedford.
