USING A NON GOVERNMENT NAME TO MAKE THIS REVIEW. I had a horrible experience. Dr. Marcus Gordon is not licensed in the state of NC yet performing extremely aggressive abortions. I’ve had a procedure in the past and never had such a traumatizing experience and so many complications afterwards. They have you sign for sedation, yet they do not offer the service nor do they advise of this beforehand that it is not offered. The doctor and nurse that assists him rushes you and it is extremely uncomfortable and ghetto if I may add. This facility needs to be investigated. Especially Dr. Gordon he has horrible bedside manners and could clearly care less for the female body. I experienced extreme pain and bleeding for two weeks resulting in two visits to the ER and having to call out of work. The facility feels dark and it is even more humiliating and incredibly after your procedure that you have to walk out and sit amongst the people in the entry waiting room. This facility needs to be investigated for allowing a male doctor unlicensed in the state of NC perform procedures on any woman.
I have to admit I was skeptical about employment after reading the reviews but it was a great experience. Learned a lot and my former colleagues were welcoming and pleasant. The only reason I resigned was car issues. Fingers crossed that I’m eligible for rehire soon. Moral of story: Every experience is different. Wonderful place to learn something new.
Very unprofessional, will let you sit in the lobby for 3 hours because they forgot you were there. But will not take accountability for their actions in forgetting their patients and Instead puts the blame on the patients, who are sitting in the lobby for not letting them know they’re still sitting there waiting. How is the patient responsible for letting the staff know where they’re at on the waiting list? Make it make sense and take accountability for your lack of professionalism or hire people who are going to do the job responsibly and professionally.
Everything was great! The team really makes you feel welcomed except the lady with red dreads in the front window who had an attitude both my appointments and not with only me but many clients making many feel unwelcome which was converse amongst one another. Everything else was smooth.
I had services here years ago and never had the courage to write a review. The women that worked there came out to protect me from protesters and I will never forget that. I remember having an appointment on a Saturday where the protesters were rampant. I got scared and ran out. I returned 2 days later to compete the procedure. Given the circumstances I cannot say that it was amazing but it was the best it could have been in the situation I was in. In my opinion, it was the best decision I have made and that was about eight years ago now. I thought I had no one where to turn yet this clinic helped me more than I could ever imagine. The worst part was the protesters, if you go on a weekday rather than a weekend there are less protesters. Plan to stay all day as it is not a timely appointment. I received the “deluxe pain treatment” and I didn’t feel any pain. I am only writing this to let women know that life will be okay and there are people out there that will help you.
Amazing staff! I was so emotional and Dr. Swallow was so confident in me. She talked to me. Told me I wasn’t forced to do it, but gave me alternatives to my problems. The nurses are friendly and non judgmental!! 10/10.
Went into here for a medication abortion. Everything went well until about 2 weeks after the procedure. I went back in for a foul smell and still bleeding a bit . I was dismissed quite a few times. Told that mild odor was normal even though I explained it was not mild. They asked me if I wanted to see a doctor I said yes. I got a transvaginal ultrasound the lady was very rude . They made me undress in front of her. And then was extremely rough with it to the point it hurt. I’ve had multiple ones where it was uncomfortable but never hurt. I went and saw the doctor he told me I had bv. After all of this I felt like they didn’t really care much about my problems I was having so I ended up going to the er. When I went to the er they seemed extremely concerned . I was told that I have an extreme amount of blood and after another transvaginal ultrasound it was found out that I also have retained product hence why the smell. If I didn’t get a second opinion who knows what would have happened . I’m very disappointed with the after care I received here and always trust your gut.I would like to update that my first experience here was really good when I went in for the first day and the second day. I only had an issue with my follow up appointment with my concerns. I did have a representative call me and apologize deeply for what happened and it could have just been the one person was just having a bad day. But my first 2 experiences here were great and very helpful.
6-17-24 was my appointment and the lady at the window was rude to me because I forgot my ID but it was my day2. The lady behind me did two and the lady at the front told her let me check if I have it from your day 1 appointment. The was she was talking to me like if I was slow or something. She shouldnt be at the window of she treats hispanic people like that. She hispanic herself and treat people very rude and talk to them like they dont know what they doing. This is an emotional situation for me and she didnt make it any better.
The care and dedication that volunteers provide is amazing and all about providing support for those that come to use the clinic services. It’s about the clients at all times and making sure that they are able to get inside the clinic to be provided actual, accurate information and services for the clients to make informed choices.
Started an 11:15 appointed at 130. Here’s a tip, if going to take two damn hours to see someone who has an “appointment” then just accept all walk ins. Pure imcompetence.
I had an extremely pleasant experience here. i travelled out of state to come for my 2nd appointment and im extremely nervous for my procedure but everyone here was very nice and very informative. the volunteers outside gave out free Plan B, free snacks, water, and coffee for visitors too. this is coming from a girl with anxiety issues, i was not scared or unsafe here.the forrest park location on the other hand was whack 😭
The women i spoke with to book my appointment was so short and rude, she made me cry. Sounded annoyed at my existence and questions and had a massive attitude with me from the moment she picked up my call. I schedule an appt at another facility and their service member was way more welcoming. She made it clear that their faculties are busy and over capacity and treated me the same. Said expect service to be plus or minus 5 hrs . Horrible horrible service. At The bare minimum your appointment staff should be decent- she gave me no hope that the rest of your staff would be any better. First impressions matter. People matter. Be kind and do better. It’s not hard.
This clinic was terrible! the wait time is sooo bad! i traveled from alabama to charlotte, rushing to get there on time just to wait even longer. i was already tired and had no energy from the drive and was nauseous, so when i got there and had to wait in that hot lobby and uncomfortable chairs, i was MISERABLE…. the staff is soooo rude and unprofessional! one lady raised her voice at me because SHE gave me misinformation. it was embarrassing because everyone in the lobby was looking at me after that. it’s so hot in the lobby and they don’t offer anything to us. no water, no snacks, nothing. they don’t take into consideration that us females are already in a vulnerable state of mind and they don’t care. they are just there to get a check. all i know is, if this ever happens to me again, i will travel else where, even if this means traveling much farther than charlotte. because this clinic needs to be shut down !Ladies, DONT come here. Take my word for it! You deserve to be treated much more fairly and nicely than the “nUrSeS” did here.
This stars are only for GA forest parkHello all I would like to share my experience with this doctors off before this also I have share my review but I have deleted just because I think just for my review they have called me one more time very first time I came they just did the scanning or sono etc and they said 3 days gap has to be there that day also they had check everything even iron in the body too but second time when I came I have to face a arrogant girl sitting on the counter and when my wife turn came she was told that you have low iron thats the reason they cant give you Tab now have some iron and then come and today when I came it at 11.00 am they did the checkup again and made us sit for almost to give one tablet I dont understand why they need so much time to give one tab after taking an prior appointment then too we have to wait so long I would never ever recommend this dr office to anyone its better take precaution or else take ur medicine with in the time frame but dont waste time coming from georgia totally unexpected service and the girl on the counter racists too. After have those medicine still my wife pregnancy was not cleared then we have to wait 48 hrs then I took an appointment again for the next day in georgia forest park and I must say great staff great people working for them when I entered i told the girl sitting on the counter she was so helpful as my wife was not able to walk she offered a wheelchair infact she bought wheelchair and considered my case as an emergency and started the treatment and even the Guy Mr Taylor was so kind he came to drop my wife till the gate and so polite even he any problem pls dont hesitate call us I would like to give⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️For GA forest park location
Please ignore all bad reviews. I was absolutely terrified after the reviews but my experience was great. The staff here is GOD SENT! They do an amazing job considering all they go through on a daily basis (100s of patients, different personalities, protesters etc.) the wait was long, as expected. I got there around 9:30 and left around 1:30 but it wasn’t awful, i survived. I’m convinced the protesters are the ones leaving the bad reviews… the clinic is clean, staff is friendly, doctor is awesome and compassionate, they play movies in the waiting rooms, provide snacks after procedure, and try to do things as efficiently & quickly as possible. I was so scared but they made the experience as stress free as they possibly could. I am so thankful for my experience here and want to encourage anyone who is looking for a sign to chose this clinic, to book your appointment asap! Thank you APWHC i really appreciate your compassion. Also the clinic volunteers outside with the umbrellas and snacks and kind words are GOD SENT they are so kind and comforting, they really made me feel safe and not judged.
Great experience. I got my procedure done in office, and the nurses were very nice. I got assistance from the abortion hotline. They managed to knock off about $500. If you’re thinking about getting the abortion done surgically I would definitely suggest it. Oh, and the nurse who is in the room with me during my procedure it was very nice and comforting to me! They do offer a sedative for an additional $95 but it’s so worth it. If you’re hesitating about the reviews, don’t listen to them. I had mine done at 13 weeks yesterday and I feel fine today. I will definitely go again if I need to and I would recommend it to anyone who needs one.
I was very nervous to take the pill bc I saw bad reviews but this place was great the lady doing the ultrasound was knowledgeable and told me since I was so early the pill would be more effective then the actual procedure. I was able to pass all my tissue. They also called and check on me 4/5 days later and that was nice. The staff was very professional and friendly the place is away from the Highway and makes you feel safe. There were so many women who travel far far away!! Financial assistance was also a plus so I didn’t have to pay too much out of pocket. The wait time was pretty lengthy but the doctor comes and speaks to you before you take the pill and educate you on symptoms and how you should feel. Thank you guys so much
If you are struggling about your next steps, please do not let these reviews scare you. I had deep fear of going, and you are immediately greeted by protestors. But the clinic escorts are angels. So kind and protective, making sure to show you where to park, and to walk you in. You feel safe immediately. There was a little line, but totally tolerable. The receptionist was very kind, and so were the ladies checking your blood pressure and blood. My ultra sounds specialist energy was warm, she was gentle and so so thoughtful. I started to cry during that, and she made me feel like it was ok.I then spoke with the nurse who walked me through options and the law. She answered all my questions and didnt rush me.The scheduling operators were also very sweet. I felt nothing but love all around.I ultimately decided to keep my pregnancy, and so I didnt need to go to the second appt. But I knew if I had, I would be in wonderful, kind, and thoughtful hands.
I would like to say that my experience was not good. The places was very crowded and staff be a bit short and rude. They were overwhelmed with over 80 people. I was number 56 and I arrived 10am. It was very long process and no privacy. All women crowned in every room and every was completely uncomfortable and complaining.I only did consultation and went to another place so I can do procedure. I did not have a good experience or feel confident in this location. I hope you better better help. 😏
Be very, very careful if you chose to terminate your pregnancy and use this clinic. They will give you a false ultrasound date, meaning they will tell you that you are not as far along as you are. Their aim is not only to abort as many babies as possible, but to also receive funding. They told my daughter she was only ten weeks, when actually she was twelve weeks and one days. They were given funding for her procedure and travel, but they did not return the funding after she was not allowed to terminate her pregnancy. She was not allowed to terminate because I asked a question about the condition of the clinic and why they give all of the patients the same time for appointments. Terrible management, terrible people, and horrible place to do business with. These people are dishonest and should be closed down. I also found out that many of their patients develop infections post procedure, so they probably are not even a clean facility, let alone utilize proper sterile methods for surgery. Disgusting people. They keep the funds even if they don’t provide the service. Shut them down!!!!!!! I think the manager of this clinic is very much intimidated by intelligent people, because she can’t answer any legitimate questions when asked, she just simply refuses that service. She is stupid as hell to bring so much negative exposure to the business. Don’t go here, find other options, and there are others, right there in the same city.
I would definitely recommend this facility. I was nervous because of the reviews but soon as I arrived I felt well taken care of. Yes there will be a wait due to the ban in other states so they see atleast 100 women a day. They provide snacks and water during the wait and the staff was extremely helpful. Only part some would not like is the waiting room of some women telling their personal business loudly but overall my experience was a 10/10.
Honestly had the WORST experience of my life here. From the moment I got there, the waiting room was very hot and very very packed. The environment was very uncomfortable as well. My appointment was at 10:50 didn’t make it to the back until after Noon. Once you go back, they tell you the appointment time is 4-6 hours. You get brought to a second VERY packed waiting room we’re you’re sitting for over 4 hours in very uncomfortable chairs. They have no refreshments, no mints or any accommodations for the patients what so ever. The staff was very rude and seemed very uninterested in the patients well being. I didn’t get changed into my gown and waiting for my procedure to be done until after 5:30 pm which was outside the max 6 hour time frame. Once I get to the procedure room, the room was very dirty and looked very unsanitary. It was very painful and all the doctor told me was to be quiet and don’t be loud, not caring for my well being. After your procedure they rush you out to get the next patient in. My pulse dropped from 107 to 64 and I fainted on the ground. 90% of the staff not only disregarded me but laughed and one even made the comment “she didn’t want to ruin her Jordan’s” since when I fainted I did bleed on the floor. Another staff member was questioned why they didn’t take my blood pressure and she replied the doctor instructed her to get me out and make room for the next procedure. After I fainted and my pulse finally was stable enough to move me, the staff was openly discussing what happened in a joking manner telling other patients if they listened to the doctor and breathed through it, “that” wouldn’t happen to them. When my ride arrived, I still could barely walk due to me having to regain my strength. I was not offered any help what so ever. I definitely would NOT recommend this place to anyone and wish I did not spend my money with them and went else where. Honestly, the worst experience of my life.
I came from Georgia and they knew that they told me they would try to get me in sooner so that I could drive home… I sat in there from 11 am- 3pm just for them to give me 1 pill… it’s no privacy it’s about 60 people in the waiting room and 1 bathroom. The so called nurses are ghetto and it was one she has long nails on she kept walking in and out laughing screaming and giggling in and out the door the whole time every 15 mins we are going through a lot and they have us sit in uncomfortable chairs for her to be walking in and out laughing with the front desk lady they was just laughing the whole time being ghetto the only people that are actually nice and helpful are the ladies that escort you into the building and they are white ladies and this is coming from a black woman the black girls that are so called nurses and front desk staff they are ghetto and uncaring about the comfort of the patients I really hate that the white ladies treated me better than my own kind I would choose another place .
My experience was great today. I got the surgical done and felt absolutely nothing. They do offer a conscious sedation, just ask them about it. They won’t give it to you unless you ASK, consent to it, and pay for it. It’s totally worth it and honestly made me feel so much better afterwards. The prices may be scary but call the National Financial Hotline and they will help you with a portion of your bill. I was scared I would have to pay almost 700 but I ended up only paying 245. I would absolutely recommend this clinic to my friends and family. The wait was long, but they warn you it will be as you’re making the appointment. So I wasn’t expecting different. Just be aware, in the waiting room other women will tell their stories. It can make you feel anxious and overwhelmed but just try not to focus on that or worry about it. Every person has different experiences and different pain tolerances. I think the only cons would be how hot it is in the waiting rooms. It didn’t really help with my nausea but I pushed through. The nurses were all kind and very informative however. It was really comfortable once you got to the back! I wished I stayed a bit longer to take a nap but I had to get going. Anyways! don’t be swayed by the bad reviews. I was at first which caused me to be nervous. Do your research before making an appointment and be sure you know what you want to do. If you are unsure the nurses here seem so willing to help! I hope everyone that comes here has a great experience as I did. You got this and know that whatever you are feeling is 100% valid. - Anonymous Account btw haha.
I say the long wait time is the absolute ridiculous. But other than that it’s a great facility would recommend if you have nothing but time on your hands..
No, no. No……. Pretty sure I may have to go get a check up to make sure im not infected. From the beginning to the end this place was horrible. The actual procedure itself was Hell please do business else where or you will regret it. The place is so ghetto, so many damn hippa violations it’s crazy. No real privacy, they make you sign forms to put you to sleep and that is not at all the caseeeeee…. Pleaseeeeeeee run for the hills when it comes to this place. They don’t care about you they care about those funds and that’s it
The staff is very rude, everyone should be fired at that place Definitely need a new staff. No one should have to go through this traveled a very long way to get there and I got turned around I asked to speak to the supervisor one of the workers said they was the supervisor and they werent Because the front desk lady had a bad day I have called the Department of Health. To report them They do not treat people like human being in there if youre having a bad day stay home its very unprofessional to act or treat people in that manner I called HR too I am out of 562.00 I got rescheduled for no apparent reason I never want to come to that building again
Think the protesters where the nicest part . I had an appointment at 10:40 i didn’t leave until 5 . I was one of the first patients to arrive and very last to leave . When arriving the waiting room was hot and smelled like cigarettes . The staff is unprofessional , curses infront of you and does not explain or reassure you . I was told I was gonna be given an injection for pain but i was given regular ibuprofen, 4 hours before my procedure. When walking into the room they’re were still bloody tools in the room , very unsanitary environment. I was also charged a different price upon arrival .Staff is very ghetto and unprofessional .I could hear the staff giving unnecessary commentary and laughing at patients in the hall . They assured me the procedure would be pain less , on my way home I couldn’t even drive the pain was so unbearable I almost stopped at a hospital. Please don’t home here save your money and get the proper care you need .
Unprofessional staff and very short staff. Overbooking and seeing too many women. This place was very sketchy and unethical.Go to GA if possible or find a better place.Everyone is young with no training on how to talk our guide anyone. It’s a joke and it’s not the cleanest place. Make sure you see them wash hands or wipe down stuff because it was a rush the entire time. It was 80 people in one day. And every room full. The staff is RUDE & Nasty! You shall see!
Will not be my preferred choice again. The bad reviews are NOT protestors. Honestly, they can keep the snacks and movie. You can not have your cell phone, don’t have the option of being sedated (only given ibuprofen ), wait time is 5 hours or more and after your VERY PAINFUL procedure your given a blanket. We’re not even good enough for a heating pad! I literally felt like I was in a chop shop after. Please ask for more information when scheduling appointments. All centers are not the same. Some give better treatment for the money you pay. At least some of the nurses were nice.My response would be to not accept more clients than the office can handle or provide adequate care for, whether out of state or in. Also, more information and the sincereness should be shown to the patients while they are there, not after they’ve made a bad review. I hope this information is put into consideration for any future patients you all have.
Using fake name. I was so nervous to pick this clinic because of the reviews but I’m glad I did. The wait was long and that was expected because there are people from all around the country there. However, the doctors and nurses were so patient and so caring. They were so fun to be around and helped with easing my anxiety and overthinking thoughts. Im really thankful for them because I probably would’ve been a complete wreck without their kindness. I’m definitely glad that I ended up coming here!
Everyone was so welcoming I came two months ago. Everyone treated me so kindly the doctor was amazing.
The doctor was great however I do not recommend the location in Charlotte. The lady at the front window charges people different prices!!! The pill procedure should have been $450 when I got to the front window stated the cost was $550 when she been charging everybody else $450. And to be clear $450 is the price without financial assistance I seen other patients receipts who had not had financial assistance, and the charge was $450. Would not recommend a place that would get over on women in difficult time like this!! The lady at the front window didnt have no remorse or any reason why the charges was $550. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!Update : no, maam that lady intentionally charged me $550 everybody that I was in the room with showed me their receipt which I have proof for the pill procedure was charged $450. I was the only one charged $550.
(Different name for security purposes) ~The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because the lady giving me my meds was rude. She ended up coming around at the end.~My boyfriend, our dog, and I drove to this clinic from Georgia. I was extremely anxious about the procedure. Especially upon arrival when protesters are there with large signs and larger voices. But the clinic had staff escort us to park and escort me from the car to the building. Even offered me a snack and water. I was pleased and comforted by their mannerisms. Front desk staff were also extremely nice. I was given paperwork and was told to go to the back to fill it out. I knew instantly I would be there all day. The room seated about 40 people and I took the last chair (at 11am). I was in that room for 2 hours before getting an ultrasound and sent back to that room for another 2 hours before I was sent to another waiting room. Dr. Grossman and the 2 assistants in the room were great. Dr. Grossman was very thorough with answering questions I had before the procedure. I did choose to be sedated because of how far along I was. I was still a little nervous before hand but the pain was definitely alleviated. I even asked at one point “is he doing it yet?” The assistant laughed and said “you’re almost done” my pain was even less than a period cramp. He is great. After the procedure you are taken back to the recovery room where your blood pressure is taken and you’re given a snack. My overall experience here was great.
My appointment was at 9:40am I came all the way from Georgia. I waited in a room with a lot of other people didn’t get a gown until around 2pm and once the doctor started the surgery he never washed his hands not once he would just hand a nurse the folders then start on the next person nor the lady who was taking women to the back while doing the ultrasound very unsanitary they said it would only take 3 minutes the lady in the room had an attitude kept laughing and didn’t want you touching her at all saying “that’s why I gave you the stress balls don’t grab me” while you’re in pain they don’t care how you feel she very unprofessional should be fired and they will be getting sued Don’t ever make an appointment here!!
Used a fake name for my privacy. I was pretty nervous going into it but that quickly went away. The staff is just wonderful. First off, thank you to the amazing volunteers and security that escorted me into the building. Your presence was calming and much appreciated. All of the nurses working in the whole building from reception to the ultrasound to the procedure itself, were extremely kind, informative and helpful. They all had a very warm and welcoming attitude and made the whole process way less stressful than I expected. The nurse that held my hand through the procedure was so sweet and understanding and talked me through the process and kept me joking and talking to help me keep my mind off of things. The doctor himself was also very nice and professional and was very considerate of my conditions throughout the procedure. The procedure itself was very quick and the pain was nowhere near as bad as I expected. My experience at this facility was positive in every way and I recommend it to any lady that has to go through this. Thank you very much, you wonderful group of people.
Absolutely the most disgusting degrading to women clinic ever. It was at least 40 women stuck in this small cramped area. Not the worst part. Place full of only pregnant women told to STAND some with 10 a.m - 12p.m appointments it was pushing 2p.m women still standing in line from early appointments told to only stand ( nauseous, nervous, ofc the obvious morning sickness) which I was suffering the whole ride from. Some disrespectful female decided to put her input on yelling across a already crowded area “ If you sit down you gon go to the back of the line NO EXCEPTIONS We’re not bout to argue with you DONT SIT DOWN “ the entire front is outraged every last lady it then turned into both the 5’1 light skin lady and the dark skin amazon lace front wearing female. It took the higher up boss over the manager to come out and instead of reassuring the women who are contemplating a lot and just verbally dismayed because who talks to patients or anyone coming for health services like that. Instead she argues with more people and because my mom is a very opinionated person we ending up going somewhere else. DISGUSTING ESTABLISHMENT Turn around.
Staff was great, ladies who worked there and walked you from your car to the door, were great. People who answered the phone were great (called multiple times, got different ppl). They had snacks out front & a movie on in the waiting area. They had paparazzi on the other side outside trying to make women change their minds. The clinic can only keep them off the property. I feel like no one should try to coerce you into doing something that differs from what YOU choose to do with your body.
Do NOT go here. My best friend traveled here from out of state. Her appointment was at 10:40am and she was not seen until after 6pm. The procedure was extremely painful and in the end they told her that it was unsuccessful!! There was still a heartbeat and a full baby on ultrasound. She was still in pain and we spent the entire next day in the hospital back home. Ladies please, this experience is already traumatic enough and this place does NOT do their job.
This was one of the most ghetto and unprofessional places Ive EVER stepped foot in. They treat the patients like trash. One of the workers got frustrated with one patient and REFUSED to see any others causing patients to have to reschedule after being there for 6 hours. They dont offer water, or anything else while waiting. One of the workers walked around cursing like a sailor about how much she wish she would care about these patients. It was horrible and traumatizing and to say the least i am now forced to move forward with this pregnancy. When calling in to complain I was treated poorly by Angie (pt service rep) and was accused of being a bad patient and was told I was blocked. When I asked for a complaint number she told me to google it and hung up. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Go to planned parenthood they gave me all the info I needed to move forward against this independently owned practice
I was so worried to go here because of all the negative reviews, and the experience I had at the atl location. However after today all those fears went away due to the extremely kind staff and doctor. They went over everything very thoroughly, and seemed very well educated and was able to answer anyone’s questions. Great experience. Would recommend for anyone !
I hate having to leave this review but Im pretty sure they are racist. I was one of like 5 white people out of like 40 African americans that came in. The other patients were extremely nice and compassionate but the front desk lady made me see red. She gave me issues checking in, ignored me initially when it was finally my turn at her window, kept cutting off anything I said, tried saying I cant use the funding unless I have a code and I wasnt given a code ... wasted time trying to call ARC just to be told oh I make the code then was rude and said oh so yall DID talk bout a passcode no, not that I recall, but if I did it would only be one thing. Then when finally back, I paid 90 extra for sedation so I wouldnt feel it, I was given the shot then they did it not even 10 minutes later. I felt EVERYTHING the sedation didnt kick in till like 15 minutes after I left and was on the road home... Others that were given the shot before me were still waiting and havent gone back before I even left so I know they rushed me in and out. Some of the nurses were extremely sweet but that front desk lady, no. Nike jacket and gold earrings, no name tag obviously. Ladys outside protecting from the ones damning us to hell were very sweet too. Luckily this isnt some place Ill hopefully ever have to go again, just want to warn others to try and go to planned parenthood instead, if you can. They actually sedate you so your out for the procedure, after they provide a heating pad, someone to talk to if things arent ok and cookies/juice/something for the pain (not ibuprofen....) Im currently sitting here in extreme pain, as if someone is stabbing my uterus but also feels like someones stabbing up inside my hole still too. I cant sit up without sharp shooting pains....I would of held out for an apt at PPH if I hadnt already spent so long in the dang hospital with hyperemesis gravidarum. I was unable to keep my baby due to health concerns, since I lost 15 lbs in one week and couldnt even keep down a sip of water with the hospital directly injecting me with nausea meds. I was informed my hormones were twice what they should be and carrying to term would be detrimental to my health, if not possibly kill me.Edit to add- after seeing responses to others who leave negative reviews, I was nothing but nice so there was no excuse for how I was treated. And I dont know about the 5-6 hour waits, since I was in and out once back in less than 30 minutes.
The staff here made me feel comfortable and took such good care of me. Was so kind, so sweet and so patient with me. Made me feel okay and put a smile on my face at the end of the procedure. Best womans clinic in Charlotte!!!
I went to this amazing clinic yesterday morning. I was really nervous and before I came out the truck with my mom, there were people already there making sure I was okay which made me cry more because of how nice they were. The wait was long only because they were so many other patients so I was actually happy for the wait and the entire staff was so nice and sweet. The procedure was painless and fast but I never want to go through something hard like that again. But I really do appreciate the staff and how caring they were towards me. They work so hard for many hours and I really just wanted to thank everyone I encountered there for helping me.
My experience was horrible all i can say is don’t go here please . My appt was on march the 10th at 10:30am i wasn’t seen to get the procedure done until 4:30pm . And the staff are extremely rude & ghetto . The staff act like they hate they job . While waiting to been seen they have you in a waiting room with 30 other women everybody tired & exhausted from waiting .when it was time for me do my procedure the procedure itself was extremely painful they don’t numb you or anything i felt everything . I was crying & the nurses dont reassure you they just told me to breath . DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE!
I cannot express to anyone enough how well these nurses take care of their patients. Excellent staff !!! They deserve 5 stars ALWAYS ! ANGIE was very very very helpful. Very caring and understanding. Without her help I wouldn’t have made it through my procedure. So glad she’s part of the team there, she deserves SO MUCH CREDIT ! I had a great experience and would recommend this clinic to anyone. THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE STAFF/TEAM.
Very professional and private. All the employees are healthful and understanding . Very at home feel you are not rushed and they do allow you to rest for as long as you need .
Some of these bad reviews are definitely from anti abortion groups because they make claims that are actually impossible. The staff at this clinic are lovely. They are very busy but take great care of patients and work long hours to see as many people as possible. They are also open 6 days a week. Good and trustworthy place
I had my abortion there today and to be honest I felt the staff and experience was going really well. Even though the wait was pretty long I understood because I am a Medical Assistant and know how busy these offices can be. I loved how friendly the staff was and how they explained everything I needed to know. Im very sad to say that my experience was totally turned upside down when the physician came in the room. He was so RUDE to me and also to the young woman assisting him in the room with me. It was already an emotional time and his tone and the way he spoke and treated me made me cry as this was already hard for me. Ive worked in doctor offices before and Ive been to many health care facilities and I have never been treated this way. He was also very argumentative with the lady helping him in the room (very unprofessional) . I instantly wanted to leave. I would recommend to a friend if you replaced your doctor...He made my experience horrible.
Staff is very rude. The worst experience Ive ever encountered in the medical facility. I suggest going elsewhere, even if you have to pay more money.I was yelled at and treated as if I was less than a human being. After the procedure, I was taken into the recovery room. I felt very sick and in a lot of pain. I was told I had so much pain because I didnt do the deep breathing during the procedure. The pain was immense. Its like cutting someones arm off and blaming the pain on not doing the deep breathing-pretty ridiculous. One of the nurses brought me Tylenol in the recovery room. I asked for some water and she yelled back at me in a very rude way Of course I was going to give you some water, I wasnt just going to have you swallow the pill dry.
Had my procedure done this week. Facility was clean and staff was very pleasant. The procedure itself hurt. Only recommendation is to offer an option to put patients to sleep or so that much pain is not felt. There are many who would be willing to be pay for this option. There were many screaming voices heard in the procedure room and it is unsettling. The doctor asked if there were questions and was willing to answer anything we wanted to know. I was glad to see how attentive they were in light of the recent bad publicity they had. My experience was good with the exception of the pain felt during the procedure. I have heard there are some clinics that use other methods and put patients to sleep to feel less discomfort. As a matter of fact my close friend had one a few years ago in Augusta, GA and said she would have thirty more because she doesnt even remember the procedure taking place. All she remembers is waking up in the recovery room. Other than that I would give them an Excellent.
*** Pictures are just SOME of what was surgically removed by a PROFESSIONAL DOCTOR*** Viewers discretion is advised.I promise this is worth the read before you make the terrible decision to choose this clinic. Please go to A Womens Choice.I had an appointment for an abortion at 9:30am on 11/16/21 at “A Preferred Women’s Health Center” in Charlotte, NC. 1-2 hours after arriving, I was called to the back for an ultrasound, informed that I was 7 weeks pregnant, then sent back to the over populated waiting area. When i say over populates, i mean every seat had someone in there and they started seating women in the hall way. After nearly waiting 4 hours for this traumatic procedure, I was again called to the back where I was given an Ibuprofen, antibiotic and handed 2 gowns before being escorted to a separate procedure waiting area. During this 45 minute waiting period, staff indiscreetly discussed how the doctor wants to “leave by 3”, patients were overbooked and staff had not received a break, let alone lunch. Once in the procedure room, I was informed that the doctor would be in shortly. Overwhelmed and visibly distraught, I found myself staring at an unborn fetus in a vacuum container, alone in a room that felt like an asylum, surrounded by contaminated needles and overflowing specimen/sharps containers. 5-10 long, dreadful minutes passed, when I am anxiously approached by Dr. Gordon. Sparing less than a minute of introductory, I was immediately told to lie down on the table and move my hips to the bottom of the bed. He then informs me that he is going to give me a local anesthetic and told me to “spread” my legs. While verbalizing “it hurts”, I closed my legs on reaction, however he quickly pulled them a part, demanding me to “keep them open” so he could see where the needle was going. Before giving the anesthesia time to work, he began the procedure despite informing him that my cervix were not “numb”. During this time, I felt my whole body shaking uncontrollably while crying and screaming that “it hurts”, and repeating that “I feel everything”. Apathetically he responded, “it will be over in a minute”. Once completed, I questioned and was assured by Dr. Gordon that I wouldn’t see the aftermath. Without another word, Dr. Gordon quickly washed his hands and exited the room. I then sat up on the bed, only to face the vacuum with a container holding the remains of this horrific event. The attending nurse attempting to console me, hands me a pad before assisting me back to the procedure waiting area where my vitals were checked. Bp 185/118, I inform the nurse as she is walking back towards me that my blood pressure is high. She then states “it’s more than high” and checks it again; 165/110. Without documenting these critical values once again, I was forced to wait several more minutes until then i was discharged. I have never been so traumatized in my LIFE. Not only was this the first time of ever even having a procedure like this done, BUT Wednesday the day after the procedure until Friday i was having basically contractions so i finally went to the doctor to be checked out to find out i have to go in for an emergency surgery to have a D&C to remove what the doctor didn’t. The procedure wasn’t complete. The supervisor Angie stated tissue can be left behind but i could’ve passed it “myself”. IF that was the case THEN WHY DID I HAVE AN EMERGENCY SURGERY AND HAVE TO BE PUT UNDER FOR THE PROCEDURE TO FIX WHAT THE DOCTOR DIDN’T DO. But also I’d like to mention how unprofessional they are even after making a complaint about the doctor. Including the “Supervisor” that basically told me I’d more then likely not receive my money back and it’s not that “traumatic because i didn’t die”. I am not okay, and they don’t give a single damn. I do NOT recommend this CLINIC. Please save yourself and your mental health that i am now struggling with because i already had a hard decision to make and they made the situation a million times harder. They don’t have any remorse or sympathy for their patients so please be advised.
........arrival to the clinic, which looked like a house..., we saw protesters and we were escorted into the driveway by these angels escorts...who are also out there to show you where to go and to shoo the protesters away. I can honestly say that when I checked in, I did not feel judged... I did my paperwork paid my fees, and I opted for the DELUXE sedation which is fifty dollars more. not knowing that it is against the law to use sedation in north Carolina, u have to be awake for the entire procedure. so I am glad that I got the extra shot, and wait in the recovery room instead of the room with the others. where I was in a spa style chair with a super clean blanket. I dozed off until I was called for my procedure. the staff is very attentive, they even made sure that another patient got help because her car was not starting. they pricked my finger and gave me my extra shot that I opted for. I felt very relaxed. at ten weeks, I was probably farther along than most girls in there but having to be awake for the procedure (no iv sedation/ no laughing gas) was THE worst part of the whole experience. the lady held my hand the whole way and explained what I was feeling. I got through it somehow even though I was crying. it was no worse than giving birth. when it was over I decided to go ahead and get dressed I just wanted to leave. I would definitely recommend this clinic and the other bad reviews are very inaccurate they took good care of me and I felt safe. the place was very clean. they cater to you and check on you constantly.. i felt relief and i hope other girls read this and dismiss the other bad reviews as pro life people who are trying to scare u. good luck on doing what is right for you. i would, however go to florida or Atlanta where the laws are different and you can have sedation. its the evil north Carolina governor who makes sure you are awake the entire procedure but the extra deluxe shot (50) is so worth it the ladies talked to me yes they are overheard talking about lunch or whatever but its because they are understanding and just dont want that horrible, weird awkward silence thing going on they have been in your shoes before. and the doctor, is older but very gentle and he will talk to you its a sad thing its not something u want to go do but if u are in a bad situation its relief to have a choice
I disagree with every negative response. I cant speak for their personal experience, however the facility is very clean or I wouldve left unseen. The paperwork could be filled out prior to going in the back to save some time. The restrooms are very clean, the staff is pleasant and professional. From the front desk staff to the ultrasound tech all professional. The doctor performing my procedure, very professional and compassionate. I did not enjoy the actual procedure and wouldve liked some stronger meds but overall a pleasant experience thanks to the staff. The doctor was fast and the woman assisting guided me throughout and held my hand (thank you I needed that). I didnt mind the wait as I cleared my schedule for the day. Im ProChoice so the protesters did nothing to sway my decision. Thank you to all the staff for being compassionate, professional and patient without judgement.
I took the pill and Ive been bleeding for 2 months. Dont do it ladies
I wish I could give 0 stars. However everyone’s experiences are different, so read this with an open mind. I live in Atlanta, due to the 6 week ban I had to drive all the way here for a medical abortion. I would have done surgical but the wait for that was like a full day. I had to get back to Atlanta. I decided to go with the pill. I have had a medical abortion in Georgia before, worked perfectly no complications. I was told to take the 2nd pill within 24 hours. However, at this location I was told to wait to take the 2nd pill until AFTER 24 hours which didn’t even sound effective. I asked questions to make sure that was correct. The clinic even gave us a “2nd dose” of the misoprostol in case the first didn’t work. WHAT? The first does should work if you take it within the correct time frame! I thought that was absurd how they said that so nonchalant. Of course I ended up having an incomplete abortion. Now, a month later I have a uterine infection out of this world and am in crippling pain and have crazy symptoms from the abortion being incomplete. I called them before going to the ER and the lady on the phone (I believe her name was tonya) she told me to come in for a follow up next week. NEXT WEEK? Mind you I told her my symptoms, that I don’t live in NC, how much pain i’m in, and that is has been a month since the abortion. I repeated that that isnt a good idea, and I couldnt wait that long and if I should just go to the ER. She said “well we may be able to get you in this week for a follow up” I do not need a follow up. It is too late for a follow up and im not driving all the way there for a follow up when it didn’t work the first time. I should have went earlier but I truly believed my symptoms would subside. They got worse. I even started to take the prescribed contraceptive they gave us and that made things worse for me. I should have known, the clinic workers did not seem to care about the patients. They were friendly but they were way too lackadaisical and gave all wrong information. The clinic was not the cleanest, and it felt like a assembly line or factory. Would not recommend ever. However again, everyone’s experiences are different.
All the workers made me as comfortable as they could being in this situation. I asked several if they have been through the same thing as Im going through and they all said yes and explained their situation to help me feel better about my decision. The actual procedure only takes 2 minutes and is painful but the pain only lasts 2 minutes. Once its over I had mild period cramps that were gone by that evening. I paid extra for the sedation which I dont think was needed. It made me worry less but didnt help with pain. The wait was very long (5 hours) but thats expected at a clinic. I would recommend to do the surgical procedure because its over so quickly instead of dragging out time with the pills. I would also recommend getting to the appointment 30 minutes to an hour early because many others were very early as well and already had a line at 845 for a 930 appointment. Its very cold in the back waiting room so bring a jacket and comfortable clothes. Those are all minor issues that are no big deal. I was very happy with this clinic. It was very clean and everyone was very nice and comforting. They told me step by step everything they were doing. The doctor came in the waiting room several times and answered any questions and informed us of everything and explained why certain people go ahead of others. Since I arrived so early before the clinic opened, there were only 2 protesters outside and they were gone by the time I left the office at 230. Everyone is there for the same reason so no one judges you. Instead everyone was motivating and encouraging that we can all make it through this situation and move forward in life. I hope I will never have to have an abortion again but I would recommend this place to others who are considering this option.
This is completely just my experience, but I couldn’t have felt more comfortable or cared for at this facility. Regardless of the protestors you WILL encounter, all of the staff here go above and beyond to answer ANY questions you might have, they explain everything you didn’t even think you’d need to know and they genuinely care about your well being and comfort. The staff here will literally hold your hand and talk you through any discomfort you might endure and overall, I just cannot recommend the charlotte branch enough and I will 100% recommend this facility to anyone in need of help. I am VERY thankful to have found them.
I went to the clinic at 8 weeks pregnant. I chose to have the medical abortion. When I arrived I had to notify the lady that I had assistance with the National Abortion Federation. If you need assistance contact them because they are helpful. Also after checking my vitals I was sent to sit in a room with other females getting a medical abortion. Then I had my ultrasound. After everyone received their ultrasound we were given the first dose. Then after everyone did that we were given the second dose of pills to take home with us. The staff isnt the friendliest however, they are doing their job and they did not seem to be rude to me. I would recommend this place to anyone. However when I took the second dose it did not work for me. I went back to the clinic and they gave me more medicine for free. I didnt really have a personal experience with the doctors but the nurses were fair. I really didnt like the protesters and I liked the fact that people were outside playing their music to drown them out. They also gave me birth control after I tested negative on a test and the prescription was good for six packs of pills. However, it is really expensive. Overall, walking into an abortion clinic isnt something that people imagine they would do but you must have a strong mind.
I have been going to this facility on and off since 2008. Nothing to be proud of , but I have always had a great experience before, during, and after. It is very clean and organized and the nurses and doctor are very supportive and friendly. Afrer the procedure they provide comfy recliners with warm blankets and offer you a juice and snack while you are encouraged to relax. I definitely rate this place 4 stars!
The staff here is really wonderful. The nurses here are all caring, accommodating, kind, and very compassionate. The doctor told me step by step what was happening the entire way. Very very friendly. Its not the easiest situation...but the staff made it s much better for me. I highly recommend!
The nurses were professional and friendly and everything went well. The nurse doing the ultrasounds was my favorite. Very thankful for all the brave staff who go to work there every day with nasty protesters outside their doors. It was a little unnerving to walk in while people yelled untrue and negative things at me and my boyfriend through megaphones, but there was an escort/security officer who stayed near us and talked with us on our way in which really put us at ease.
Went with a friend and she said everyone was very nice and informative when explaining the procedure ,risk and other available options. The one thing that bothered her was the staff in the recovery room were rude and made her feel like she was being rushed. She said it was a girl at the desk who was sleeping when she 1st entered and after the girl noticed her she asked her whats her painlevel like 2x in 5 minutes so my friend said she guess shes ok to leave. Then the same girl had her sighn paper that shes leaving against recommended recovery time which is an hr. She said Dr who performed procedure was nice and so was the assistant. The overall look of the place was like any other womens clinic. There are protesters but youll have an escort that will cover your face.I had to let them copy id to pick friend up.Hope this helps someone ,this is an honest review!!Gave a 3 because of the rude recovery staff ...they are getting paid and should have some type of job etiquette !!
Went just last Saturday. Some of the staff are friendly but not many . It’s a very much ratchett facility as well , mostly young workers and not much classy or professional with it . When I finally got in the room there were tools laying in a drip of old blood. I wish I should of just waited until Tuesday to go to another one. But I hope nothing is wrong once I go get my check up.Only Person was generous is the nurse in the recovery room. Soooo UNPROFESSIONAL.
I absolutely loved the nurses who took care of me. I was very nervous before going into the office, I actually went to another place called family reproductive health they were so unprofessional and mean they just took my money and said they couldnt help me! So I called this place when I pulled up there were a few crazy protesters but I didnt stop for them I just kept going into the office. The first thing I noticed was it was bright and clean and the woman at the front desk was nice and asked if I was ok. I called around and some of the people that work at these places are not so sensitive on the phone but not this place, they were very nice, I wish I would of called them first. The office was clean and the nurses were amazing they were very knowledgeable they made sure I understood everything that was happening. The doctor came and checked on me several times to make sure I was ok. There were some other girls there, I actually made a friend in the waiting room who I still talk to. I really felt comfortable, they really cared about me. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs an abortion they even helped me get financial assistance, because the other place took my money.
Reading some of the bad reviews had me nervous about going. Once I got there the staff was not at all like the reviews I read. They were nice and professional. They wait was long but that was expected. My experience was a lot better than I thought it was going to be.
Please dont go here lied about everything . I ask for pain medication when getting surgery procedure when I 1st scheduled my appointment they didnt do it so I felt everything and it hurt so bad women was coming from the back crying I was screaming in the the room I was told to not scream . Imgur this was a night mare I drew all the way from Atlanta and had the worst experience ever please please please dont go here lady was scheduled at 9:55 am didnt get out of there until 3 pm . They had all of us bunched up in a room it so unprofessional here dont no I repeat do not go here
Worst doctors and customer service at a woman’s clinic ever . They sent me home to have a miscarriage without any pain meds after waiting 5 hours for a hour procedure. The techs. And nurses were amazing . But the foreign ( Indian doctor) was horrible, his attitude and bed side manor non existent. When i called they were unable to help in any way. The protestors made ever woman feel bad as a walked in to handle their own personal issues unknown to the public. I wouldn’t go here just for those reasons. A woman’s choice clinic right up the road from them was much better . Do better people !!! Theses are real people with real issues , it’s already hard enough.
The wait is soooooooooo long it’s insane if you go in @ 11 you’re not gonna leave until atleast 4. It’s so annoyingly long i cannot make this up.
They do a good job, I haven’t had any complications as well I go back for my follow up soon and it is a little painful but they are very welcoming and make you feel very comfortable and let you hold there hand through the process. And I was the last one there and they gave me pizza.
The whole staff was 5 star. Professional, knowledgeable, caring, understanding, helpful this is never a great experice but they definitely helped me feel better. Ill never see this place again. Wish i knew names. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and not like i was in a cold clinic getting ready to have a life changing moment.
I will be honest there are some protesters out side that will scream and call you a murder... It’s highly unprofessional, but so are a lot of the escorts they will get up in “protesters” faces and use vulgar language. Seven moths ago I was contemplating getting an abortion. I had just signed up for another semester at college. Had no husband and no financial support, when I got pregnant. This is the hardest decision you will ever have to face you have a million things going on in your head and to have the escorts playing loud pop music and dancing in the parking lot made me feel so uncomfortable. I found that to be highly inappropriate. And I won’t lie I thought the people standing on the side walk where only going to tell me I was going to hell. So I went to my OBGYN and found out I was 7 weeks and once I heard that heart beat I completely changed my mind. I’m not saying hearing it will change your mind. But there are genuine people out there on the sidewalk that want to help. And all they want to do is show you all your options, not take them away. They do give real free ultrasounds from licensed professionals. And can give you information that can get you help if you choose to keep your baby, or give it up for adoption. I just want all of you to know what you will be walking into when you get there. Don’t be afraid. Don’t let anyone make you do anything including everyone from staff, to escorts, to protesters. Just get as much information as you can before make this life altering decision. Talk to the people inside and out.
My procedure was done two weeks ago and I finally have the Chance to leave a review.. I have a few names that deserves a five star first name is Miriam she was the nurse in the recovery room.. she was really awesome. Her all around customer service and genuine care deserves an all star. Very sweet lady. KeeKee was the Nurse in the operation room. The care and sympathy she had for me was outstanding and as a woman in a position to make a decision as such with deep emotions running through; she was the right person. Her overall kindness and care and genuine talk she had with me was deeply needed. The love I felt from her was everything I needed to get through. She walked me through the procedure while explaining what will happen next... which really calmed me down during the whole operational surgery. And before I knew it, it was over. She held my hand and wiped my tears away. And told me everything was going to be alright. Pam was another nurse that stood out to me. Before I could do anything she checked my hemoglobin which was extremely low. She gave me a pep talk before the surgery and one after the surgery. She cared enough about me to tell me to keep taking my iron pills. She was humorous and made me smile. I really liked her. Last but not least was Ashley. Ashley is the lady that did my ultrasounds. She was sweet. I asked her questions and she answered. I had a few requests that we aren’t really suppose to see or hear. But I wanted to see the ultra sound and hear the heart beat. She fulfilled my request and was nice about it. These ladies deserve a five star. However I gave an overall 4 star because some things didn’t sit well with me. The organization of this place is all out of Wack.. the other nurses that I don’t/didn’t care to get their names because they were horrible. The lady at the front desk that you pay (Latina woman) has the nastiest attitude. Couldn’t answer questions fluently. The other Latina woman (older lady) that took my blood simple was rude to another patient while assisting my blood work. (I speak fluent Spanish but look as if I don’t speak Spanish) the other patient was a Latina woman who could not speak English and she waited 2 whole hours before anyone could help her. (Seriously, no paper work was done and she had not taken any meds they give to you) I offered to translate because the nurses claimed they were too busy but the Latina nurse was rude. I told her I didn’t mind because us Ladies are in there for one reason and the longer it takes to get stuff done the more it bothers you mentally.Other than the few bad apples and the lack of organization of the clinic... they still deserve a 4 stars because of the four names I’ve mentioned earlier.
I had a appointment at preferred women’s center Charlotte NC 04/26/2021 I made the appointment there due to them telling me I was less than 17 weeks because I know they can’t afford to do the other abortions right now, when I got to my ultrasound the women took awhile but she told me I was less than 17 weeks as well and told me to go back to the waiting room and she’d let me know if their was a price difference but they could definitely do the procedure. A couple minutes later she took me back to the ultrasound room with another women I guess her boss, the new lady then gave me another ultrasound and told me and the first nurse that I was 17 weeks and unable to get the abortion. They charged me $775 I wouldn’t of even made the appointment there if they didn’t give me false information and they gave me back $90.I had my new abortion appointment today 05/01/2021 at a women’s choice of Charlotte NC and they told me I was 17 weeks and two days so a preferred women’s choice charged me 210$ gave me back 90$ and told me they couldn’t do the procedure because i was already 17 weeks. Mind this was 5 days before I was 17 weeks and two days so I was only 16 weeks and four days but they lied and said I was 17 so they couldn’t do it.I recommend anyone looking for a abortion or birth control go to a women’s choice of Charlotte do not waste your money on preferred they lied to me and took my money.
You got two stars for the amazing nurses. Heres why you didnt get five:You didnt have me anything remotely like what is described on your website. I was not only aware of everything, but also I bled everywhere and screamed. I remember every detail and have been diagnosed with PTSD because of it.The doctor has zero bedside manner. Hes not nice to any of the patients. One girl there was crying and he said, Toughen up, as she was guided to the recovery area. Id like to see how HE feels if someone jammed a vacuum up his pelvic area. I was the last patient and by that time, he was VERY grumpy and became irritated with me because I wasnt relaxed. I paid for the deluxe and got traumatized instead. The doctor said all of ten words to me both days I was there. He didnt tell me what he was doing; the nurse did. That doctor left tissue in me and Ive had an infection and complications ever since... nearly 3 months ago. Its not exactly fun to bleed, hurt, and feel sick every single day. An OB/GYN doctor I saw said that he gets girls from your clinic all the time with infections, left behind tissue, and permanent cervical/uterine damage/scarring.Your facility is NOT clean and NOT well run. Theres graffiti everywhere outside and it feels like Im walking into a drug den instead of a clinic. Why dont you use some of those $1,000/ea payments to fix up the place?
Some of the negative reviews on here are probably written by protesters, my experience couldnt have been more opposite of those reviews. For starters there are about 3 different restrooms available and not one of them was filthy or blood stained as claimed in an earlier review. Had that been the case I would have left immediately, so this was the first thing I inspected for. The facility in general is clean much like any other doctors office. The staff is easy going, and considerate of your needs and dont make you feel judged. I recommend booking the earliest appt possible which is 9:30 and being there by 9:20 at the latest. There seemed to be several 9:30 appts and you certainly dont want to be amongst the last to arrive since the process is already kind of long (3hrs) so make sure ypu eat before you go! If youre getting surgical, I highly recommend the delux deal which is 50.00 extra for sedation. Now to be honest you still feel quite a bit, such as the shots and minor menstrual like cramps during the procedure BUT I dont think its something I could have mentally recovered from quickly had I not been sedated. Yes, It is somewhat invasive, and possibly traumatizing but the sedation made that experience doable for me personally. A woman who just had the procedure done before me said she did it without sedation and was totally fine during the process so it really is dependant on your mental state and pain level. But if youre on the fence as I was Id recommend the deluxe. There is a male and female doctor so if gender matters make your request for the day the doctor of your choice is working. Mine was female, very professional, and quick, she and her assistants were kind and kept me informed of what was happening and the sensations to expect during the procedure which I really appreciated. The procedure was less than 5 minutes but im sure length of time depends on how far along ypu are. There are protesters outside but they appear not to be hostile. In any case just keep driving, they wont follow you into the parking lot which creates a safe distance between you and them. The physician also writes a prescription for birth control if you are interested. This is a good choice if you are unsure where to go.Follow up: its been a little over a month and Ive had my first menstrual cycle since the procedure. I read about stories claiming that my period would be painful or more intense, none of that was true, but my periods were never painful to begin with. Every thing is functioning as it should. Im so grateful to the staff, especially the women who coached me through the procedure and the doctor who performed it. This is not a murder mill, My body was not capable of handling pregnancy at this time in my life as Im still in recovery from certain medical conditions. You cant allow yourself to be bullied in this situation, God has already forgiven you. You only need to receive the forgiveness.
I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. To begin, I had an appointment today at 10:45 am. I was escorted by a pro-choice woman at the facility. Upon arriving, I went to check in. I was asked for my ID which I wasnt told to bring. I was dropped off at the facility. I had to have my ID texted to me to avoid going outside. Then the lady tells me that the cost was $475. I only had $360 on me because the lady I originally talked to when making the appointment told me the cost of the pill would be $350. I ended up paying her $360 just to get the response that she didnt have change to give me back. I was told to shut my phone off and hand it over. I find that completely weird beings Ive never handed my phone over in other facilities. I go back, fill out paperwork, and get my finger pricked. By this point Im completely pissed, because Ive been lied too and they just took away my mental support on the other end of the line. (My fiancé who I was talking to and getting through this with) So at this point, Im alone and he has no idea whats going on. I ask if I can have my phone so that I can call him to tell him whats going on. The rude ass lady behind the desk gets smart with me then says I cant go out from the back. So I was forced to stand right at the desk and hold a conversation. I end up spending more money so that I can do the pill and do this in the privacy of my own home. I was in there for 3 hours total and it was not a great 3 hours. It involved staring at the walls and hearing the staff talk about their personal life while laughing at cutting up. Look into other options. The only people that really seemed to care in that whole facility were the ladys that escorted me from this morning.
This was my first time, nothing Im proud of but its life and you have to do whats best for you. The ladies & doctor were phenomenal and so caring. I thank them for the kindness, professionalism and service, dont believe everything you read and hear. I originally came for the pill but decided against it, the survey was sort and barely pain filled. Consider all your options and do whats best for yourself.
The whole place is unprofessional starting from the parking lot (The protesters and the escorts) just makes the place look terrible. The ladies at the front desk were decent but then I had a nurse or whatever title she holds called me into a room but then disappeared when I was looking for her she came in through the back door stomping out a cigarette and then put the whole pack in her pocket. Then the rooms are not properly cleaned (disinfected) Its a medical place I think they should follow a lot of OSHA regulations but they DONT. Blood was on the floors in some rooms including the bathrooms where you go to get dressed after the ordeal. However they managed to get the job done
I wasnt expecting anyone to pacify me for the decision I chose to make and most people cant possibly Imagine supporting someone who they dont know know. However today at preferred womens health I received kindness I never even expected and respect I didnt feel as if I deserved. They literally held my hand and offered emotional support that was reminiscent of a family member. They effectively explained every detail of my service and professionally provided me with the best standard of care Ive received at any medical establisment Thank you cannot convey my gratitude...
If you are visiting this facility, please be advised, if you see a bus or RV on the side of the road with individuals in scrubs outside, they ARE NOT affiliated with the clinic. DO NOT STOP YOUR VEHICLE, even if they walk into the street. Just honk and keep going. They will attempt to trick you into missing your appointment. They are NOT medical professionals, they are professional anti-choice protesters. They WILL NOT help you financially, and will only try to give you religious pamphlets. Get into the parking lot as quickly as possible, there will be escorts with umbrellas to walk you into the building and protect your privacy. Look for the pink shirts or pink vests! All clinic staff and approved volunteers will be on clinic property in the parking lot.
My experience overall was okay. The staff is friendly but they seem more concerned about the money than their patients. The waiting time is ridiculously long everyone in the waiting room was falling asleep or either just walked out completely from waiting too long.
Very rude staff....EVERYONE I argued with one of the girl. GHETTO AS HECK.... MY JOB AT RISK. Yes your job. Not mine. I know why I’m here. Not professional at all. Amazing doctor.I only got loud with her because respect is give when given. Not only that, they had my money and I work to hard to let anyone speak, treat me the way they did with my money in the hands. Refund of not.... The lady with the dreads. And 2 girls up front are awesome!
After having 2 children already, and not being in a financial position to afford one me and my fianceé decided that this was the right thing to do. At just 9weeks I went to have the medical abortion. The only annoying thing about this place is the PROTESTERS with their speaker! My fianceé and a couple others let them have it. I went on a Saturday and it was pretty crowded, I didnt feel judged (because we all knew what we were there for anyway) and any questions I had they answered. The wait time was pretty long but since Ive had one before I gave comfort to the other young ladies who were there and letting them know what to expect. I took my pills and my procedure worked at home just fine. I would recommend this place to any girl or woman who is making this kind of decision. No one was rude to me and the only thing that hurt my feelings there, was the lady who pricked my finger. Overall I had a good experience.
Disappointed.I came here April 17 and was told that there was no fetus in the sac and that I should come back in two weeks. Speaking with my spouse, we came to the conclusion that I should just let everything happen naturally and keep the baby. So the following day I called and asked for a refund because I would not go on to have an abortion. I was told that it would be mailed to me 4-6 weeks. I have called here and I am constantly told the same thing It will be sent out with the payroll and it will take 4-6 weeks to receive. I ask to speak to a manager and was sent to voicemail, I left messages and no one has reached out to me yet. I then asked could I pick up the check and was told that the policy is to mail the check ...which to me makes no sense at all. I am currently still waiting for the check. It is unprofessional to have to wait to receive money that you worked for and very fustrating. I dont work to give my money freely. The African American women make sure each individual is treated with respect and were very helpful (Thank you ladies, I really appreciate it) but the guy who did my ultra sound was arrongant and made me feel very uncomfortable. If I knew what I know now I would of went somewhere else to get a free pregnancy test and ultra sound without coming out of pocket. You live and learn.
As I drove down Latrobe road I saw a protestor here and there which didnt bother me. I had read reviews about the abundance of protestors outside the clinic harassing you, so I was really worried about the encounter with them. I was relieved to see that they werent actually on the property, but on the side walk on the road, so you were able to pull into the parking lot and not have people banging on your Windows saying whatever they see fit to say. I respect their opinion and decision to fight for their beliefs and I also wish they could respect our opinions to make a choice, a very difficult one at that, that we see fit for our lifeslifestyles. They have no idea what our situations are, and that is something that we will have to deal with personally. Anyways, once you park you go into the building and check in, everyone tried to avoid eye contact aside from a quick smile and they continue to stay inside their own little bubble. After a while I noticed that no-one really has an appointment set just for them, but rather an appointment so that you can be seen at some point in time. Saturdays are early very busy days, as people do not have time to take off during the week. Once you get called to the back you sit in a waiting room and fill out paper work, someone starts talking and then the next thing you know there are several conversationa going on, mostly people just talking trying to get their mind off the reason they are there and nobody is judging anybody because you are all there for the same thing. You wait for a while for the lab associates to call you back and do what they do, then the U.S is done, then you sit for a while, take some pills, sit for a while, get your gowns and sit for a while until you are called to the room where your given instructions on what to do. As you sit and contemplate on what the experience is going to be like, you may have the urge to run out of the place, cry, pray, sleep, or whatever, your just hoping for the best. The doc comes in, and his/her assistant tells you whats going on and your done. You get dressed and go into the room until your cleared to go, which is rather quick if everything checks out right, and your sent home with b.c. and pain meds, relief or whatever emotion you may be feeling at the time. I only gave four because the appointment time you were given was not truly an appointment time. I dont think they should let that many people come at one time with one provider on duty as they may make a mistake. Other than the long wait time and the lack of clocks they were very nice, professional, and empathetic towards you, but not giving you a pity party. You get what you came for and you go home. It was a no judge zone and nobody turned their nose up to you. Some people were alot further along than others and they were discussing it, I guess trying to get a self approval, but none of us can judge you, thats a decision you have to live with. I didnt hear any unprofessional chatter from the nurses, techs, or providers, and all the clients were courteous towards one another. I hope and pray I never see any of those people in that environment again and that we learn from this experience, but I am grateful that we have the freedom to make a choice.
They made it as comfortable as possible. You have Christians standing on the other side of the parking lot with signs. I guess they think (they dont think for themselves) corpses should have more bodily autonomy than a living woman and that their beliefs trump the rights of each individual. However when you walk in the environment is very comforting with 0% pressure. Im thankful I didnt have to jump down stairs, or have my child when Id have to give them away or keep them when Im not mentally prepared and definitely not financially. Now I have the chance to become financially stable and someday have a family when Im ready. Not when I cant afford birth control. I hope this helps.
No sense of good customer service whatsoever. Doctor was rude to me and management is very buddy buddy and not helpful. It was crowded & hot. Rescheduled at Womens Choice (Carolina center for women on google). Facility is much nicer, staff is polite & anti abortion people arent flagging you down at entrance.
When I pulled up I was overwhelmed by the protesters outside yelling at me and making me feel awful and I was in tears but I was met but an escort who made me feel a little better. All of the staff and the dr were very nice and informative. I didn’t want to have an abortion but it was medically necessary because i have a medical condition where the umbilical cord doesn’t attach to the placenta and it’s not safe for me to deliver a baby my son and I both almost died. I would recommend this clinic to anyone in need!
Considering this was my first time everyone made it pleasant. Obviously there is nothing sweet about going through this process. But the entire staff down to the receptionist, was a extremely helpful and caring. I would recommend anybody to come to this clinic, if needed.
I came here few days ago to take the abortion pill. Immediately when I got there my intuition went off. This place is GHETTO and unsanitary. The lady that worked at the desk smelled like a pack of cigarettes. The woman that took my blood to test for negative or positive was not professional at all, she looked like she took drugs to be honest. I felt so uncomfortable, I was asking multiple questions that they should have already went over before I even asked. The waiting room with other women seemed as if I was at some illegal place, and the other women that were waiting for their abortion were laughing and joking like this isn’t a serious matter. The ULTRASOUND room was DUSTY and raggedy. While I was waiting, I heard a women screaming on top of her lungs. This place is the WORST place to get a abortion done at and needs to be SHUT DOWN. I did NOT go through with the abortion pill, I left feeling better and more SAFE keeping my child and going through with my pregnancy. I absolutely hate this place.
Absolute best care! The ladies there took such great care of me I was a ball of nerves and emotions due to a medical condition I couldnt carry without it harming by health being that i have two small children at home and a medical condition I got diagnosed with in early December. I recommend this place to anyone who needs to have it done. Its very hard but they will guide you through it
I had a good experience here. Being with all the women in the waiting room and be ableTo express concerns and chat with each other made the situation less stressful and more comfortable. It’s hard enough to make the decision but I do believe this is a good clinic if you are making this choice.
This center lies about the people on the sidewalk. Those people offer free ultrasounds from certified nurses on their RV. With people who actually care about your life. They are not there to mislead, but to give real help. In my opinion, the center doesnt want to lose your money if you go see them. Do it anyways...*** My response: From what Ive witnessed, the people with the RV are not mean... but offer solutions with any situation.... Im thankful for them.
I havent been here, but I saw a video about the protests happening and want to give 5 stars for your dedication and support to your patients. Thank you for continuing to show up for women and our rights to our bodies.
Alright, this is my second time coming here. Lets know, noone wants to come here, but the staff here make it a little bit better by showing compassion and not making it worse. All except the first person you meet. The young girl at the front desk. She was very rude to several of the girls there today including myself. I was so Ill with her, I went.. sat in my car and cried about what I as already there for and finally sucked it up and told myself not to let her be the change of my opinion because I knew why I was there. So, I went back in and the second time I had to speak to her, she was nice.. but whatever. Too much for me to worry about her right now. Once I got to the back with others, about 3 oyher girls said that she was mean to them as well. Outside of that, everything went as expected.. id suggest bringing socks nd a thick sweater or hoodie because your wait could be long and it does get cold back there. As well, if you need help with paying, Id suggest calling NAF or asking the clinic for places that help. And as far as the clinic being dirty, I disagree. As far as the doctor wearing weed socks, I couldnt even picture that on his day off. It was kinda funny though. And the dr was charged with something, I saw it on the news but common sense would tell you that obviously he wasnt guilty to still have a license. Ive been here twice, had the same dr and i havent had problems. A lot of these negative comments are from protestors that want to tell us what to do with our bodies. If you know the reason you came, thats all that matters.
Not professional at all. Went to the Forest Park location and found out that i was further along than I thought however, that was the first lie. Decided just to get a refund and go somewhere else. Never received my refund at all. Called back and ask about it, it was never processed so I decided to go ahead and travel to their office in North Carolina to get the procedure done since I was told I can use what I paid already towards the procedure. To make a long story short, talk to a friend who had a procedure there and was told that the staff was not that nice and the doctor was very cold, so I canceled my appt and requested another refund still have not got it. Talk to Courtney today and was told that she could not look it up, I would have to talk to the manager, Angie, well she was not in the office and I still do not have my refund, was told that it takes 6 weeks from they day I requested. Please find somewhere else to go, also will be contacting someone because when I finally had my procedure done at another I was not that far along.
The staff was great. I gave three stars because of the wait time. Be prepared to be waiting 3 to 5 hours for something that takes less than 10 minutes. I just wanted to get it over with not be sitting and waiting for hours.
Horrible unwarming place. Me and my friend both felt uncomfortable. They make u sit with ur gown on in front of the general public while u wait . Felt various pains during her procedure only give u ibuprofen . Very rude workers . I called to follow up about birth control and was told they could do nothing and it was a courtesy they gave it out . After spending 500$ on procedure and still having to pay for birth control I was disgusted
Please look for the clinic escorts just inside the parking lot in brightly colored safety vests. Neither van that is frequently parked outside is affiliated with the clinic. The people who are there to help you are wonderful and will protect you from the anti choice protestors so be brave, we have your back.
A clinic like this is as good as it possibly can get. Both their information phone line were extremely helpful and the staff, I could see how hard they work to accommodate so many patients with as few people as they have. They were all very nice, respectful and helpful. No one is going be forceful, this place gives you a feeling that you are here by choice and no one will get mad at you. Id recommend APWHC to anyone that has hit the wall of last resort in a desperate time. I came here back in April, my experience was as I expected, definitely be prepared to wait a maximum of 5-6 hours when you get here. My procedure for a 14 week pregnancy was I admit, painful! But it was quick, think it lasted 5 minutes or so. And it was surprisingly quick to recover from. I only had mild menstrual-like cramps on the 5-hour ride back home. After 3 weeks, the bleeding stopped. I never needed the pain pills I was prescribed, then my menstrual cycle came back as normal, no problems. I didnt bother going to my fallow-up appointment, but like I said, didnt feel I needed to. They will also write you a prescription for birth control if you say you want it. And yeah, getting to the clinic was a bit intimidating. When you drive down the street, you will see buses with some people waiting to run towards your car to hand you their pamphlets. Just KEEP, DRIVING, SLOWLY, so you dont run them over when they almost run towards your car. These people get stupid. When we nearly got to the parking lot, there were THREE BUSES and a guy with a megaphone preaching and all, just keep driving on into the parking lot. I whole heartfully thank the two security guards and volunteers that help protect the patients just trying get into the clinic. This decision was definitely mine... A little about myself; I am a seven year happily married wife with one 4 year old daughter. At my first child, it was never going to cross my mind to not have her, I was ready to have our baby girl regardless of everything and I love her to pieces and I thank all of our aid resources that helped make it happen. But then four years later, I was unexpectedly pregnant again. And I immediately wanted this child, but then looking at our finances, it turned out to be impossible. I called every number I could for housing assistance but to no avail. We were still living with my husbands parents in crammed quarters and there wasnt even enough room for a baby bed! I was not going to allow my in-laws to get furious at me for bringing a child unplanned and make the whole situation a nightmare and post-pone our living improvements, so abortion seemed the most rational solution. My husband was going to support whatever choice I make. Yeah, Im just a normal person trying to do whats best for my family in a difficult time for finances, not a teenager that made a mistake on a date. Youd be surprised at just how regular people end up having to get an abortion because of any rational reason. I hate how these pro-lifers insist on sugar-coating the idea of ABANDONING a newborn into the scary, unforgiving world into the hands of mere strangers is more humane than a legal abortion. i cant fathom ever having a child to not be involved with. These folks hardly think about the sheer lingering guilt of a mother giving up a child to the unknown. Remember, a terminated fetus happens in nature all the time. Nature decides too, and no one can stop a miscarriage. If you decide legal abortion, you are not a murderer for plucking out a human seedling, you are deciding what is best for you. After two months, I swept all of this under the rug, and I still feel I made the right decision for myself and everyone. I have no regrets. I am only sad that my current lack of finances made no room to prepare for a 2nd child. But I will have my next baby when we finally move in to a house and a new job. Fallow your heart, only you know when youre ready. And only you recognize the severity of your situation. Dont let anyone manipulate how you should actually feel. Everyone makes mistakes.
Fake name for privacy purposes. I have not been to this clinic yet but the person I spoke to on the phone was very nice and understanding. I am traveling from another state and am fortunate to have the opportunity to come here. I thank you in advanced.
Very unprofessional. After paying 450usd for a pill procedure i was directed to wait 4hrs in a waiting area on the floor because all seats were taken. They booked 68 patients having on 40 seats in the lobby. Instead of telling the drivers of the patients who bought drivers to sit on the floor or wait in their cars me and several other paying patients sat on the floor. Very disrespectful.
Supportive staff and they provide clinic escorts that will walk with patients from their car to the building if you want it. There are usually protestors but, the clinic escorts make patients feel safe and secure while receiving services.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR SERVICES. I came to have a procedure done back in august 2016 and i found out i had an ectopic pregnancy. Because they completed lab work, they owed me a partial refund for not completing the entire service. Mind you they took my $400 before they even took my name. Here it is 12 weeks later, Ive been calling them every week for my refund and theyve been slack and incredibly unprofessional handling my case. Every time I call, they give me some bs excuse or LIE and say that my refund is on the way, yet I havent received it. Im moving on with taking legal action against the company. Take your money and business elsewhere because you may get screwed out of YOUR money.
My experience was OK at the facility but the aftermath was horrible. The procedure was done incorrectly and there was tissue left. I went back and forth to the doctor for months BC I would always bleed and my vaginal wall had become so sensitive. I ended up in the hospital 2 months later for a infection in my uterus that I was told if I would have waited one more day. I would have died. They did a internal exam and the pieces of tissue that should have been removed in the procedure. Learned my lesson I will never ever do that again. It was the first and the last
Dont pay any attention to the protestors or the purple RV out front- theyre part a sham clinic used to harass women! Ignore them! Look for clinic escorts (in the bright vests) to help you make your way inside, theyre there to support you. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff will be waiting.
I have been to 3 abortion places & this one was THE WORST. unprofessional as hell ! No one read instructions , nurse & dr failed to inform us on anything . Just took our money upfront & didn’t even speak to us individually & This place make too much money to use all that old equipment too. This place gotta do better . Treat us Women better .
I went here when I was 18 years old. Glad to see they are still around after all this time. Everyone was so nice to me. Worst part were the protesters standing on the road leading up to the clinic.. Hopefully there is a fence or something up now...
Staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable in a hard situation. I want to say thank you to everyone especially the doctor who was warm and friendly and the nurse that talked me through it.
HORRIBLE!!!!!! I went to this place because they charged a reasonable price. The staff was ignorant, they made me pay $50 for a shot I didnt even need but they told me if I ever wanted children in the future it was a good idea. The shot was for a negative blood type, I later found out Im a POSITIVE BLOOD TYPE. Then after the painful procedure I went home to excruciating pain because the didnt complete the procedure!
Because of the circumstances I cant review that I loved this. However the staff were friendly and professional, and the clinic was clean and neat. The clinic was busy, unfortunately, so the staff was not overly personable, but I wasnt expecting them to be anyway. They were informative and polite though. I already have one child and at the time my fiance and I were not financially capable of provding for another child. We discovered very early that I was pregnant and made the descision before the 8 week mark, which is our personal feeling that is the only right course for abortion. I took the pill, which is called a medical abortion, and it worked exactly as described. I experienced something similar to a heavy period with moderate cramping. The protestors on the sidewalk, which is far from the actual building, were annoying, but it was simple enough to ignore them. I chose this particular clinic because they are certified by national abortion and womens health organiztions, all clinics do not have to be certified to operate, do your homework and feel confident in your choice before going. This particular clinic gives student/military discounts. Definately bring a supportive friend/family member with you when you go. From what I could gather the surgical abortion is painful, so I would reccommend paying the extra for the pain killers.
My experience with Preferred woman has been a blessing, I wanna give a shout out to three superb workers, PRECIOUS ; her name says it all, Keisha; always know just what to say to keep u smiling, and lastly the site supervisor, took care of me threw it all, thanks lady god bless!!!!!!
My experience at the clinic I was very disappointed they operate like a free clinic but it’s not..... they are also under staff with no compassion for the patient everything is just strictly business and do not let me get started on the 35 protesters this outside with the loudspeaker there’s also no privacy there at the clinic .....whether you are fully dressed or waiting for surgery all the women are houses together in a small waiting room that looks like A closet and on top of that they put the women altogether whether you’re fully dressed or not....Don’t get me started on their black plastic bag where your belongings supposed to go ....... We live in a Society today it’s all about money this company could do better but all they think about is the next dollar....P.S......(No woman deserves to be treated like that) the Clinic needs to be closed down😤Million dollar industry🧐 And I will be having someone look into the company.......😤And is only one doctor on staff🤨
Im only leaving a 5 star to counter the knuckle dragging cave people who think theyre clever by pretending they received services here. It must be difficult to be so useless in your life that you decide to be a bully, both in person and online. These people are the human equivalent of an unsalted pretzel: disappointing, bad taste, useless, and no one wants it.
Stay away stay away… I had surgery a month ago and the doctor who done my procedure still left a lot of contraception inside me and had to go to the Er a month later. my pcp my main doctor and they obgyn said it’s called a failed abortion. Stay away or go to another place
Still have not recieved no call from the nurse this is my second time rescheduling the lady on the phone I was talking to was extremely stern to me when I was explaining to her I haven’t gotten a call yet she tried to explain to me what all the nurse said n the nurse has not called me nor left a voicemail here’s for proof for the recent occurrences.
Not my account but I got an abortion last week of september these people are careless and Rude, dont really inform you much about what going to happen during the wait or what could happen during abortion just very unorganized. My abortion was scheduled 10 am and wasnt seen until 5pm because i never had kids and they rush you out of the recovery room right after abortion.
This place has the WORST I mean WORST customer service when it comes to refunds!! I’ve been waiting since May 22 to get my check and it’s now September 28 and still NOTHING! They some how keep getting my address wrong? The fact that y’all keep entering my address wrong is not MY fault! I should’ve gotten this check ALONG tIme ago! I am never one to write a bad review but this is unacceptable! I WILL BE taking this to court if I don’t receive my check by the beginning of next month!
I was 17 week sept 1st 2018 I screamed they covered up my mouth the dr have in thong sandles they was rough and not emphatic at all I was traumatized tremendously I’ll never go here again
The most unprofessional staff and the director of the facility along with there staff was very unsympathetic to what the women are going through it was 4 different women from Atlanta besides myself who went somewhere else due to the staffs attitudes wish I could give 0 stars
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone! Keeping the persons name unsaid, I have a friend who had procedure done at 11 weeks and was cleared to go home. Only to have never stopped bleeding and later went into hospital and had to have an emergency second abortion done in hospital because preferred women’s health left HALF the baby still inside. Placenta and all!
The staff was very respectful and the volunteers outside the clinic made me feel more comfortable about walking in. The only complaint was I have is the wait time. I was there from 11-2
I cant tell you how much that I appreciate what youre doing to help others, I just watched a video how your clinic is being attacked, stay strong and dont let these bullies, push you around! Ive sent you 3 dozen roses showing my support! Thanks again!
When you get there please do not go to the purple rv/bus. They do not represent the clinic! Please look for escorts in brightly colored vests. They will help you get to where you need to go.
This place was great. Loved the service from the moment I walked in. The ultrasound nurse was the most polite nurse but they all were very welcoming.
The whole staff was very professional and helpful! They made sure I understood everything from start to finish & that I was comfortable! Ladies, I highly recommend A Preferred Womens Health!
The lady who get the calls is so rude and bad person.
This place is so unprofessional, the receptionists are so rude and the nurses are very unorganized. Was placed on hold for almost an hour just to be hung up on THREE times, I ended up canceling my appointment I highly suggest you go else where
M.D. Susan Alberto is insensitive and rude! I can’t believe this is e health profession she chose with the type of personality she had. I did not have full understanding of the medications prescribed to me, instead of taking a moment to explain she says “you need to reread your paperwork because you don’t sound like you’re onboard” and then dismissed me. I would NEVER refer her to anyone.
The nurses here were very caring and genuine. They make sure every patient here was comfortable and all were patient and kind even to the more difficult patient.
The nurse was very helpful throughout the procedure. Helping me breath through it. Coaching was wonderful. However the wait was very lengthy.
Staff is kind, professional and ready to answer any and all questions. You are safe and comfortable while in their care. Prices and range of procedures are excellent.
If this is your choice to do this. Then is the place to go to. The staff is WONDERFUL they don’t make you feel bad about your decision. They are very helpful through the whole process and they got good snacks..
The doctor was very nice and she explained everything step by step. The staff was awesome as well. I felt comfortable.
The worst , terrible customer service , no time table or updates on patients getting the surgery . Literally arrived for an appointment at 9am and i am still in the lobby waiting on my friend and nobody here can tell me how long it’s going to be or if she’s even ok ... mind you I been here since 9am and it’s damm near 2oclock and they are about to close smh
I called there and the lady I spoke to was very positive her name is Liz Ann she comforted me at my time of need this was such a painful decision in my lifetime but after I got off the phone with her and the way I felt toward killing my baby that god trusted me with I decided not to go through this procedure due to certain reasons and the kind of dreams I been getting so I decided to keep my baby and raise my child to the best with love
Staff was very friendly and made the difficult experience as easy and comfortable as possible. If I needed to cry they were right there to comfort me.
I have yet to be a patient here, but knowing I have the option available to me if needed is so relieving. Thank you for continuing to fight for womens rights and the bans off our bodies!
I had a great experience! Everyone is polite, and care about your well being. It definitely eased the feeling of nervousness and scariness.
Was kinda rude to me when I went there. They talk about me bad where i can hear them . But the lady in the lab room was very nice.
The nurses were so awesome . Professional and passionate, I felt safe and everything was clean. The protesters were awful!
The following procedure was not as painful as I thought however the nursing staff had me feeling well with the care and patience they provided.
It was wonderful the nurse was amazing and she made me feel better and really talked me through everything.
This is a very good place to go. The nurses are very very helpful¡ Not a long process and the move fast here and make sure you are comfortable!
Although my experience was good I made an appointment at 10:45am and I wasnt seen until 6 pm. I would recommend them but the wait was too long
The place is very taken care of and manageable. The workers here is are very nice helpful through this difficult time that you are going through!! Great overall!
Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for standing up for womans rights! This is a SAFE place for woman, and I truly most genuinely thank you for that.
I had a wonderful experience with the staff. Everyone was very welcoming which made this experience easier. Thank you so much for this opportunity!!
Waiting was pretty long with the fact that I had an appointment set but other wise staff was nice. & everything was quick in easy
The staff and doctor are all really friendly and nice they are not judgmental at all! Highly recommend!
The staff is was nice friendly safe and understanding. They make sure you are doing well at all times.
This place is very disgusting do not come here they are very inconsiderate and they do not care about your feelings the doctor was very rude and disrespectful towards me. I had the worst experience of my life.
The staff was very nice and welcoming. They did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable.
I had a very good experience considering the circumstances. Everyone was very nice and comforting throughout the procedure.
Very long but overall great experience. Im grateful
This place is nasty! The staff are rude and inconsiderate. All they want is your money and have no interest in really helping you. Dont go there expecting them to care.
Glad it was a easy and confidential. The staff is nice and mad my experience more comfortable
Although it was a scary experience, the staff was great. the facility was very sterile, everything was orderly.
Sometimes a girl has to do what she has to do. & if it needs to be done, this is the place to do it! They make the experience a pleasant one.
The staff was wonderful! I appreciate every last one they made me feel welcome
I love all the people here they treated me so nice knowing I felt like I was doing something so bad ! They show they care and that was a big deal for me at the time ! Thank you guys so much 🖤
Not the best experience, they have no sympathy for their patients and very rude staff members.
The staff was very nice and helpful and made you feel welcomed and notmake you feel bad about your decision
Very friendly. U can be yourself. I wouldnt wanna go through that again but if I had to Id definitely go back.
Front desk girl is nice but thats about as far as I made it. Everyone else is rude and unorganized.

It is not a beautiful experience that as a woman I will remember, but the attention, the good treatment, the team of doctors and assistants who are so professional, concerned about each of their patients and making them feel comfortable and calm, even with their language, I thank All that wonderful team and thanks in particular to Dr. Manning who made me feel very calm even though I was nervous. He has hands of gold.Thank you.
