That is my 4 or 5th trip to urgent care Berewick since May when my husband passed. No matter the ailment they take care of it in no time flat. Its easy to schedule ahead, but most importantly the staff is knowledgeable and handles my needs. My visits have been for pink eye, poison ivy, spider bite.... and a few more I cant recall. Non the less they are better than my GP and Ill go to the urgent care for all of my needs and day!
This is my 3rd time visiting this urgent care. I’ve never had any issues until today’s visit. I came in because I was not feeling well, more importantly to save my job because I had to call out sick. As a flight attendant, our attendance policy is extremely strict, so I knew I needed a doctor’s note to grant me a certain amount of days off. Jeanne Sweeney (the NP) serviced me. I explained to her my job, and in order for my job to grant me a certain amount of days then the note would need to be very specific. Her words in the exam room verbatim were “if you’re not feeling well by Monday, let us know and we can always extend the note.” I leave and receive the note via MyChart only writing me out until Sunday 8/18/2024. My job made me call out for the duration of my work trip which was 6 days which would be 8/20/2024. I emailed her via MyChart requesting the note be edited and even uploaded a picture of my flight schedule for reference, but due to time sensitivity I called the office for an expidited response. What a complete difference from what she communicated to me in the exam room. She tells the receptionist to tell me that she can only grant me 3 days on the letter and that if I’m not feeling well, I’d have to come back in to be re-tested for another note. She never once mentioned that in the exam room. If that’s policy then make that clear. In today’s economy no one has money to waste. I feel this visit was a waste of time and money, because what she prescribed me I could have probably got over the counter or something similar. Not to mention I was pretty certain that what she tested me for I had it, but I did it for the sake of my job, and not having an attendance penalty. I’ve never had an issue with a provider extending, or fixing a note especially when they find out my line of profession. I will not be back! I feel robbed as a paying patient.
I have been here numerous times (only one good experience here out of nearly 8) but after my husband’s visit I will not be returning. He went to be seen for a sore throat. They told him “oh we let things like that run its course.” He went to one spot across the street and they diagnosed himWith strep and prescribed medication to help. The NP who is there right now is nearly racist. Surely she would’ve prescribed some of the same race an antibiotic at least to help the person feel better. So disappointed! I kept going to them because the options were slim. Novant needs to do better with their staff and education of diversity and inclusion. His visit was our last visit to this urgent care.
Long wait time for a Sunday morning 8/4/24 @ 11 AM Walk in and lot of info. required. Pls don’t ask me to fill out a whole application when I’m sick and all I want is to be seen quickly and go home to rest.Once you pass the receptionist; nurses inside are usually nice.
I took my husband last week, my neighbor this week, and myself yesterday. We were all three impressed with the team!! Everyone we encountered was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. I especially have to comment on Jeanne S. She is the most caring professional that I have seen in a while. I took my 84 year old neighbor early this week, and the care and concern that Jeanne gave her was so appreciated and kind. We have been talking about it all week. The quality of care, the immaculate facilities, and the availability of appointments make GoHealth our go-to place when we arent feeling our best.Thank you, Barbara Machin
I came into the Novant Urgent Care with a bad cut(a big swath of skin torn half way off my elbow after a bad fall. No broken bones. The nurses there were so thoughtful and professional and extremely friendly and most helpful. I was so glad I chose that location as they could see me right away!
Quick & Easy. Was there first thing when the doors were opened. Registered quickly and was back in a room in no time. The nurse and Dr. were great. No complaints here. This was my second time using them and will continue to do so in the future.
I had to come to this location late, because it was the only place open. I didn’t feel the ED was where I needed to be. Oren Markowitz, PA, is who was on this night, his lack in interest, empathy, and care is what is wrong with healthcare. I’m a nurse, and the sheer disregard he showed was absolutely disgusting. The way he spoke to me was also unacceptable. You are willing to take my money, and do nothing for me. I went to the Atrium Health ED across the street, and they were phenomenal! The nurses made sure I was comfortable, pain was under control. The ED physician was also amazing, he didn’t brush me off, listened to my concerns and was so caring. Something Oren can take a lesson from. If you’re in the area, and debating where to go, stay away from this UC find another if you need an UC service, if you need an ED Atrium Health Steele Creek, top notch!
Made appt right away and was taken in to see NP quickly. I was in pain and was given medication right away. after my appt I was able to rest and get some sleep and my pain was much better. I was also given next steps in case I felt worse.
Everyone was so caring and helpful , each person from the front desk, to the nurse and Dr. Ploszak made sure I was well taken care of, their compassion and attention to my care was superb. I came in feeling extremely bad and left feeling so much better. I am truly grateful for their hard work and dedication to show my care was their priority and that I have an amazing healthcare experience👏🏾
The nurse practitioner Jackie wasn’t very nice compared to the nurse working on the week days, seems like she didn’t like me asking her questions. So I think I would go there on week days instead so I don’t have to see her again.
Love this urgent care, the NP provider is very knowledgeable and kind! Ive been here several times and my concerns have been fully addressed each time. Short wait!
Arrived for an appointment booked 90 min before closing with a broken ankle. Staff refused to see me even though I showed checked in in their system. Front desk associate advised “i could risk it for a biscuit “ but the provider would be walking out at 8 whether i had been seen or not. I left with a broken ankle and no options. Very disappointed the rude front desk staff (blonde hair that would not provide her name ). Please save yourself the hassle and skip this location, it is not worth the hassle.
I liked the professionals who greeted meThe nurse practitioner , Jeanie is always thorough , she does a full exam and then determines whats wrong !
Checking in was simple, the ladies at the front desk were nice friendly and polite. The nurse practitioner was very informative on the diagnosis of my toddler with the symptoms she had. It was clean and the wait time was very short. We were in and out without 25-30 mins. The team there was amazing and awesome.
The staff was extremely kind and friendly despite the fact that I was the very last patient of the day and I’m sure they were tired. The Physicians Assistant who treated me was compassionate and thorough. Overall a 10/10 experience .
Today, I had an appointment with Christy, NP. I received seven stitches in my thumb webspace. She was very kind, caring, and considerate. She also did an outstanding job. Stitches are very neat and close together. If you go to this facility, I would recommend that you ask for her.
I have no words to thank God for Jeanne SweeneyShe it’s a great NP she did everything in her hands to make sure what my son’s hadThank you so much for everythingAll staff were great as well
One of the things I noticed was how courteous the staff were. Then the waiting to be seen was short, less than 15 minutes. The PA came to see me with my test results so we were discussing the actual results. The whole process was seamless, very remarkable!
Urgent care Berewick is amazing. They get you in quick - by the time you get there they know you are sick - so they take you seriously, and thoroughly evaluate you. They are important and essential to our community!
I have been to this location several times for my children and myself. Always booked appts online and when I arrived I was seen within minutes of arriving. Staff was always professional and friendly. Physician’s assistant was knowledgeable and proper tests were taken and diagnosis obtained.
I should have read the reviews before picking this place. Rude front desk staff is an understatement. I witnessed the most absolutely absurd argument between the front desk and a sick patient just trying to check in. She was extremely racist and kept saying over and over you came to this country..... Even once someone finally came from the back she just wont let it go and walk away. Kept saying it over and over, well you came to this country. I had to say to the doctor, should we go out there? I was ready to get up and ask the receptionist to walk away. I work retail and had one of my staff made those comments they would be fired on the spot. Then after that fun incident the doctor looks at my thumb, doesnt even touch it, says she cant take the glass out and doesnt really know whomto send me to. So now I have a $200 bill for absolutely nothing takings place. If you take your car to the shop and the mechanic glances at it and says I cant help you you dont have to pay them. Why should I have to pay this bill?
The medical professional who saw me was reassuring. She took into consideration my special needs and prescribed the correct medication for my case. This was my second visit to this Novant location. I feel confident I will receive the best care here.
Roslyn at the front desk was absolutely amazing-which is the only reason I’m giving this review any stars. She was thoughtful, responding the quickest she could and had to deal with multiple people coming in and her being the only one at the front desk to check people in, run tests, and get us seated to a room. There’s also only 1 provider, she was kind and easy to work with, but these were the only 2 employees we seen the entire time. While I realize these ladies were absolutely awesome at what they do, the overall teammate experience is visibly horrible! It’s only two of them and they’re forced to deal with angry patients because of the wait. Not the best reflection of the overall brand “GoHealth” or Novant. I do appreciate Roslyn tremendously
Very helpful and friendly nurses and doctors! We have used GoHealth Urgent Care many times. They are close to our house and always available when we need them the most, highly recommend!
Check-in was easy. The nurse was attentive and thorough on medications I was taking and what test could be run. The doctor was pleasant and came in quickly.
Does anyone have any reviews of the actual health care before I make an appointment here?! Who cares if the receptionist is rude, are the doctors good? The nurses? Did your health issues get taken care of well? People need reviews to know how the service will be. I’m looking for answers and you all are reviewing a lady’s tone of voice and attitude who the hell cares
It was 715, 45 minutes before closing. I was told “the provider wasn’t taking any more walk-ins.” The waiting room was empty! Went literally right across the street to another urgent care and got seen immediately.
Getting in line with the rest of the negative reviews here. Poor bedside manners when it came to my fiancée who was referred there by her primary physician. They claimed they were unable to help, and after relaying the reason why back to her primary physician, she was as dumbfounded as we were in the waiting room. However, I’m less concerned with the outcome and more frustrated with how it was communicated.
Please do not bother going to this place!! Poor bedside manner from the front desk help. Very very very rude. If you want to be treated like a human don’t wast your time because the office staff will make it clear with their tone and body language that they are not willing to help, or try to go the extra mile to help patients. It shows that the office staff just care about the paycheck and not the integrity for the for their job. My insurance card is Cross Blue Shield which is active. When trying register to be seen, the office staff had trouble logging in my information. The office staff said they do not except my insurance. I told the lady at the front desk that I went to the GO Health on South Tryon and they had no problem. I called my insurance company while at the Berwick location and my insurance company said that GO health is in our network. I walked in at 6:30pm and at 7:15pm the front desk said we just have to deal with this tomorrow, we can treat you tomorrow, and we close and go home at 8pm. I wasted 45 minutes of my time while I was in pain. Note to your location, work on customer service and show some empathy it will go a long way.
Called just now to ask about my insurance and the front desk lady was beyond RUDE. I tried to ask her a question and she just placed me on hold ( without stating she was) so I waited. I guess she thought I would just hang up and when I didnt she picked up the phone and just hung up on me. I called back because I am in excuriating pain and need to be seen. When she answered again, I asked if she was the same person that hung up on me, she denied it and hung up on me again. I see from other reviews she seems to be an ongoing problem. Come on Novant, is this who you want to be your first point of contact with patients on your behalf? 1/31/23 @ 8:23 a.m.
Wishing I would have attained names, but with being ill and being frustrated with the rude treatment, I failed to do this. As a Novant employee who works directly with patients on a daily basis, I would NEVER speak to a patient in the tone I was spoke to.I was sent for COVID testing after waking this morning with multiple symptoms. On the way to Gohealth, I called and inquired if I could also be flu tested while I was there. The pleasant lady on the phone assured me yes. She would have to schedule a second appointment time because the COVID testing was for my work, the flu testing was my request, but she said I would have both tests done at the same time. When I arrived, there were only 2 ladies that I observed there, both busy with testing and patients there before me. When I was called to the front desk by one of the two ladies, I explained why there was most likely 2 appointments for me in their system, as I could see a confused look from her as she was looking in the system. She asked if I had my work email, which I supplied the printed out copy. She put this down with a slight glance and said that we would first take care of any copays due, get the COVID swab and if that came back negative, then would test me for the flu at my next appointment (2 hours later) that I would have to come back for!! I asked why the 2 nasal swabs couldn’t be done at the same time, and explained I was told by the lady I spoke with that this would be done at the same time. I never received a response to this and was just asked to sign the electronic signature line to approve care. I tried to sign and nothing showed up, so I asked if the signature would show on the screen as I wrote, and her snide comment was, “yes, when it is ready for you to sign it, it will”. I commented to her that she did not need to be rude, and she responded in a raised, defensive tone, “ how am I being rude”? I explained calmly, it was her tone, she said nothing was meant by it. I signed, she told me to come to the room, where she took out a COVID swab and a long q-tip cotton swab. I believe this was only to appease me, as I know this was not the proper flu kit swab that should be used, as that one is NOT a cotton tip! I perform these tests for our patients where I work on a routine basis. On my way home, 30 miles away, I receive a text that I have a new appointment scheduled with them for 4:00pm, this was 11:30am. I call and speak to the less pleasant lady a couple of hours later and was informed in order for a flu test to be done, I have to be seen by the provider and the first available time was 4:00 and I’d have to come back. I just told her to cancel it, that I did not live anywhere close to them and was not coming back out feeling ill.I did just receive negative COVID results, yay, but now am left wondering if I am flu positive. My hope is that this lady was just having a bad day and handled it badly and is not her daily attitude at work. Healthcare isn’t easy, especially these days and times, but it can be very rewarding. I just wish her attitude would not have been so dismissive.
If I could rate them with zero starts I most certainly would. Kathryn is rude to say the least. Very dismissive staff. On top of that they are never on time, even when you have an appointment! Such a shame how they treat the sick people that help keep them open. SMH
Its part of my In Network. Novant. Knowledge. Recommendations to go to imaging place instead of another GoHealth place to get Xray by Doctor to get it done quicker. They had xray capabilities but no technician. Doctor was awesome. Cared.
Lady at the front desk was highly rude. She didnt assist me until I explained to her over and over again that I had an appointment. Meanwhile I watched two walk-ins get rudely turned around. Things didnt go well with the front desk Lady assisting me so I too left and called, just to get her. That phone call ended quickly as she cut me off numerous times and then hung up on me.
I cant say enough good things about this place. I came into this Urgent Care yesterday in extreme pain in my right ear. I had been to a different doctor in a different facility (Minute Clinics) Because my regular doctor couldnt see me till June 1st. When I got there I didnt have to wait long to be seen. The front receptionist, sorry I dont remember her name, was a beautiful woman who was very kind and didnt get impatient in repeating some of the things she was saying. Between my ear and mask it was hard to hear. The doctor who I saw, Erin, was extremely kind and very helpful. I explained my situation of seeing a different doctor who put me on antibiotic for a middle ear infection 2 days prier. But instead of getting better I only seemed to get worse. Erin was VERY kind and went into great detail about all she was doing. She even allowed my roommate (Who drove me to the Urgent Care) To look into my ears and explained what she was seeing. Turns out I had been misdiagnosed and that the antibiotics wouldnt do a thing. She gave me pain meds which the other doctor hadnt, and one day of taking the ear drops I am doing loads better. This place has been extremely good experience and if I ever need to see a doctor quickly I will be returning here.I also want to say thank you Ladies for working during these times of ours!
Rude staff, period. I have never met such a rude and ruthless medical professional in my life as nurse practitioner Shontay Butler. My husband visited the center as soon as it opened and was told by a receptionist that if we have virtual appointments for my sick kids then they will arrange rapid covid test for them from there so no need to book a walk in appointment. The NP arrived at 12.35pm for 12.20pm virtual appointment only to tell us that we should walk in into the center considering my childrens symptoms. We go there and at first the receptionist sends us in a room to be checked. But then the NP tells him that she can not see us because we dont have walk in appointment. And then the receptionist and her started arguing with us about how busy they are (no patients there when we were there and talking) while me and my husband stand there holding our sick kids each. She had 15 minutes to argue with us about how she can not see my kids because they dont have any walk in appointment available but wouldnt take us in. She could totally check if they have any appointments available or not before asking us to come in. Also when the receptionist sent us in the room at first, totally shows that they could accommodate us but she chose not to. My husband told her how he was sent away in the morning when he came for a walk in appointment and her response was I dont know what they told you but the virtual appointments are for asymptomatic people. I had two virtual appointments with her back to back, she doesnt show up to one of them, she asks to come in and then denied us service and instead she asked us to go to Emergency care. And all of this with a straight face with no empathy whatsoever. So many things wrong with this center and such a knowledge and communication gap. We ended up going to emergency care even when we had followed this centers appointment requirements. I would give zero stars if I could for making my kids suffer.
WIsh I could give less than 1 star. Horrible, rude customer service. Three year old who had a sore throat was advised by Novant Pediatricians office to go to Urgent Care on a Sunday (Mother’s Day). Booked appointment online and showed up 5 minutes early. Was advised to stay in the car and proceeded to wait over an hour. Front desk finally told us that the doctor likely wouldn’t do anything for a 3 year old’s sore throat but to gargle salt water (despite our PCP telling us from the photos we sent there was a strong likelihood of strep) and there was nothing they could do (without even seeing the toddler). We ended up leaving and going to Atrium Health Pediatric Urgent Care, who saw her, diagnosed her with strep and gave her proper care and medication. I’ll be looking to escalate this concern with the BBB as well as North Carolina Medical Board.
Went in yesterday for 3 appointments.Roslyn is rude condescending and aggressive. She got loud with me she wasn’t listening to me . I don’t understand how she’s still employed when people have been complaining about her rude behavior for over a year . She wouldn’t give the NP the contact information for Dante jones . I reached out to corporate hopefully next time we do have any visits she isn’t there. Her behavior is completely unacceptable not to mention she was insubordinate to the NP .
My 2 year old daughter was refused care because two ladies at the front front desk stated that there is an unpaid bill even though that is not the case and they could not see any outstanding bills from their own system. They rudely and very disrespectfully talked down on us and outrightly refused medical care for my daughter contrary to established patient right to care. We are not at all pleased with the harsh treatment from the front desk staff as they were very unprofessional.
The staff at this Urgent Care was so nice. I went in about 3 pm,; had my stats taken. Dr Ploszak was my Dr. She really took her time with me. She ordered xrays of my shoulder and thank goodness no broke bones. Maybe just pulled a muscle. Dr Ploszak wrote a couple of prescriptions and off I went! I was in there maybe a total of 35 minutes. To me thats awesome! If you need to go to a Dr. try this place. I believe you will like it as well.
I don’t even understand how they let this place operate when they don’t even want to help anyone!I called the number today to see if they take walks ins and no one picked up.So I decided to drive by.Walked in and there was Zero patients waiting, the lady told me that they are very busy and there’s at least 2 hours wait time.It just doesn’t make sense how that is possible since there was no one waiting.I was the only there with my son.I guess it’s time to file a complaint for this location. We don’t need a service our neighborhood if they are not willing to serve our community
Our family has used Berwick a half dozen times for PCR testing. I drive cross town as the staff is phenomenal - very kind and understanding. They have made repeated efforts to accommodate us. First time, They squeezed us in for a rapid PCR after Walgreens cancelled our appointment so we could catch a flight. Today we were tested after exposure last week. Anxious to get the results as my son was supposed to come home for a visit, the nurse was quick and excited to let me know we were negative. Very grateful!
Took a sick friend here. He accidentally entered the wrong birthday while booking an appointment online. Once we got there, we couldn’t checkin as the DOB was incorrect. When asked to update the DOB, the receptionist couldn’t do it. She tried to send a self-service link for registration but it didn’t work as it still required the incorrect DOB to proceed with the appointment. When asked to help about the issue, the receptionist was very rude. Instead of being empathetic and helping out a patient in need, she would blame the patient saying “who would enter their birthday wrong?”. Very unprofessional. The receptionist wouldn’t suggest any alternatives. We had to checkin at the kiosk as walk-in appointment as a new patient (receptionist could’ve at least suggested this) and waited for an hour although having an appointment scheduled.
I went in with my sick 4 year old. The front desk nurse was friendly and helpful. I waited less than 10 minutes which was amazing bc I’ve waited an hour before at an urgent care. The DR or PA (Amy) was very friendly, caring and helped diagnose right away. I had a great first experience and will come back!
Got a last minute appointment by sheer luck. Arrived 10 min early and we were ushered straight to the back- no wait. The nurse and Practitioner were excellent with me and my sick baby. Excellent bedside and service
The two ladies on the front this morning (Tues. 10/19) were extremely unprofessional. There was a misunderstanding with the timing of when I would receive the results for my COVID test. I understand that that is not their fault but the way they spoke to me was very rude and demeaning. I asked calmly if I could know the name of the person who was checking me in. She said she doesn’t have to give me any information. Okay, no problem. I asked if I could have the name of the supervisor since she was not there this morning. To which I was told we are not giving you any information. The nurse practitioner, I believe her name was Jeannine or Jaime overheard the entire conversation and said there is only a corporate number I could call and she couldn’t provide me with any further information. The level of professionalism varies drastically between locations. I was just seen at the ballantyne location and they were amazing.
The physician was nice and pleasant but when the you have a toddler come in with obvious signs of pain and you are told that they have a fever, that should take precedence when checking vitals. To have people wait an hour in the room BEFORE taking vitals is absurd to me. Ive worked in an urgent care facility, and that was always the first thing done when a patient is called back.
Let me start by saying if you don’t want to wait at a hospital and want to go to the urgent care instead let me start by saying this you have a better chance going to the hospital then coming here . I had a appointment at 10:00 ( I book online ) and I wasn’t seen until 12:30 once I got In there I had to wait 25 minutes just to get seen and a whole hour to come in . Everytime i thought I was getting seen the nurse would say “oops wrong room “ atleast 2-3 times . I feel like none of the so called “dr” and “nurses” know what they doing if we being honest .
This was my first visit to a GoHealth Urgent Care, and I was very impressed! Everything was so convenient from start to finish. We were able to check in online before we even got there, so we had little to no wait time. The woman working the front desk was accommodating & friendly. I would definitely recommend this urgent care center!
I went in on the morning of January 21st at about 8:30am, as soon as I walked in the energy was off as I was not greeted nor did the two ladies at the front desk bother to make eye contact. When one of them finally decided to acknowledge me with a dull greeting I could barely hear her speak as if I was bothering her and disrupting her peace. The lobby was completely empty and they just open so I’m sure it wasn’t anyone ahead of me waiting, when I ask if they were taking any walk in it’s as if they had to think if they felt like seeing anyone that day, they didn’t even bother to ask me what I was in for or how they could help me, sad those two are allowed to work in healthcare with that attitude. I would not recommend this location for any urgent care need nor under any circumstances.
Dont recommend this place. This evening they denied medical care to my disabled 20 yr old demanding her photo ID or drivers license even after repeatedly explaining to them that shes incompetent and doesnt have one. The medical provider on duty couldnt comprehend what that meant even after stating that I was her legal guardian. At which point, they requested my ID which I showed them but wouldnt allow it to be scanned. They had no protocol for patient who declines to have ID scanned and proceeded to call the medical director who then instructed them to decline medical care. The patient is a regular Novant Health patient currently under physicians care and all records and info are on file and fully documented with our situation. Never have I ever had to have an ID scanned for her or anyone else to be seen at a physicians office, hospital or any medical facility. If they cant seem to get past not scanning an ID, it definitely doesnt make me feel comfortable with them handling the urgent care for our community. When I requested the contact info of the person that was contacted, the medical provider on duty was evasive and tried to gloss over the info and gave me a nonworking phone number for the contact.Even though this facility is within walking distance of my home, I was forced to drive to Atrium Health Urgent Care on South Tryon St. Though not as well-lit nor aesthetically enticing, I was treated with grace, courtesy and respect, only asked the pertinent questions necessary to address the situation in which an ID was not requested, was seen, diagnosed, prescription in hand and out the door in exactly 30 minutes. The medical provider even went out of her way to locate the name of a previously prescribed medication despite not having access to Novant Healths records. Aesthetics are irrelevant when you have an urgent matter that needs to be addressed and its your business to do so. As a new facility, this wasnt the best introduction to the neighborhood.
Had to do a rapid PCR test to catch an international flight the same day. The staff were amazing! Got me and a few other travellers done in time. Super friendly and patient considering the circumstances. Very clean. Everything is sanitized between clients.
Took my daughter there for pink eye. Made an appointment online and got right in. Without registering online first wait would’ve been 60 minutes.Doctor and staff were great professional and friendly.Daughter ended up having ear infection also.Would definitely go again and highly recommended
Unprofessional location especially front desk personel. My hippa rights were violated. Team member spoke so loud that every patient heard what she was telling me about my test results. Also made unnecessary remarks towards me and why I was there making me feel like I am a bother when am at a place that is suppose to make you feel better and is there to help.
I was seen today at this urgent care center and EVERYONE was extremely professional and treated me with the utmost respect. I had to go to the South Park location for an ultrasound. Again, the staff there greeted me with a smile and knew exactly what to do in a professional and timely manner.Thank you all for what you do.JV
Absolutely terrible service!! Front desk staff rude and very unorganized. They are not knowledgeable about the wait process what so ever. I was told I had a two hour wait. At a little over an hour I was told there were 3 people ahead of me. At 2 hours I was told 8 people in front of me. At 3 hours, I was told that there were 3-4 in front of me. At 3.5 hours I was told that they were getting paperwork ready. It wasn’t until 4 hours later I was called. Needless to say, at that point I had left.Coming from a nurse, this place just needs to shut down. No point in having a place open where people need empathy and care, and don’t get the least bit of that.
Steele creek... Extremely unprofessional receptionist and a doctor who has ZERO code of ethics.I Sat and waited with no greeting, then doctor sat right across from me and discussed results of A patient who just walked out... No privacy! In front of a whole family she asked me why am I there? (Any other Novant urgent care have you fill out the paper) Very bad and uncomfortable experience... Sad!I will continue to go to the midtown location, which is amazing!
Excellent care! Everyone from the receptionist, radiology tech, and NP! Everyone was amazing, kind, and patient! I wish I remembered everyone’s names but I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Thank you for everything! ❤️
I get repeat Tonsillitis, about every 3-7 weeks for the past 7 months. My tonsillectomy is scheduled 3 weeks from now. This urgent care refused to treat me unless I tested positive for strep and told me this up front. Every throat swab test I’ve been through, results negetive for strep yet possesses identical symptoms. The symptoms include white & green patches on one or both sides of my throat, swelling to my uvula, severe pain, can’t swallow, can’t eat, change in voice, low grade fever, and extreme fatigue. I know when this starts to come on, I get to an urgent care or my doctor ASAP for antibiotics & steroid shot. This will not subside without them and I despise taking antibiotics unless I have to.This place wouldn’t help me. I’m here for work training, have a dead phone, and needed care. I don’t know why I was refused. What is the point of urgent care if they turn you away.
DO NOT GO HERE! Absolute waste of time and money if you are sick and want to be treated. Not once but twice did my kids go here on a weekend for legitimate illness only to be completely ignored and treated as if COVID-19 is the only illness out there. The first time was SOMEWHAT earlier in the pandemic so allowed some grace and decided to make an appointment for the other child this past week. They did not even let him get out of the car. No physical exam including but not limited to temperature and bp check. What an absolute failure to any patient who needs care. I thought doctors took an oath. Both visits kids tested negative for COVID and still their complaints were not even considered. Each time they saw a primary care doctor the next week day available and were treated appropriately. This week a very serious infection was overlooked and could have been deadly. But hey got a negative COVID test result. Do not tell me to email wecare@gohealth as a response. I have already tried to speak to your manager Leslie and she is MIA. Do not go to this urgent care if you are seeking legitimate medical care.
Came here to have stitches removed. Even though online it said there were not spots available, they took me anyway. Everyone was very nice-funny even! I wouldnt say I enjoyed my visit-it hurt getting the stitches out. But all the staff helped an unpleasant situation be not so bad after all.
Do not use this location or company. I called ahead asking if it were possible to come in quickly for antibiotics for Staph. I was in and out within 7 minutes. one would think thats great service, and to some extent, it was helpful. But then I got a bill for $230 that was coded wrong and its coming from a company that is essentially price gouging New Clients. funny times since so many new client come there for COVID testing...I dont allow people to take advantage of me. My attorney is taking over. rather pay him to handle the business.
The check-in process is too time consuming for returning patients. Please determine a way how to save registration info to easily retrieve for returning patients.
10 we already recommended to family Easy check inFriendly facesHelpfulness of Lady at deskDoctor and nurse bedside manners are exceptional .
We went here on July 24th for a Covid PCR test we needed for international travel. We got the results in an hour, which is excellent and very unique to the Charlotte area. The staff member who took the sample was very friendly and efficient. It was a great benefit to be able to take the test so close to our departure.
Jackie P. , the nurse practitioner took great care of me and my laceration. Thank you so much for your kindness, Jackie:) I wish the front desk folks were more empathic. So sad that they are irritated when an injured person arrives 20 minutes before closing time.
If I can give negative stars I would, I was recently involved in a car wreck 3 months ago and because of that accident I have been having extreme pain in my back. One morning I just couldnt take it but I could not drive too far to get to the emergency room and I have a disabled child which whom I cant take with me to places like an emergency room, I made myself to this facility since it is up the block from my home and the negativity started with the receptionist, she asked what brought me in, I explained my situation, she then cut me off and said oh if it was from a car accident you know you have to pay out of pocket right? I then told her I have Insurance I can choose to use my personal insurance and that I have not had an issue with that this whole time seeing providers, she then looked at me and said K sarcastically and ignored me for 15 minutes then got up and went to the back..I realized she wasnt going to attend to me after another 5 minutes so I got myself up and the doctor comes out and says, oh wow are you ok? You look like your in a lot of pain, I told her what I was experiencing and she then said Oh Im going to be real with you maybe you should see the doctor you were already seeing or go to the emergency room. I told her that he is too far and I cant walk or drive long..at this point I had tears in my eyes and she said well I dont know what you want me to do for you, what do you want me to do? A DOCTOR TELLING A PATIENT THAT!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I asked her if she can help me with the pain at least so I can make it to the other doctor and she said oh well there you go I dont have anything for that. She then came across me and opened the door to the facility to see me out!!! I could not move for 9 days after this due to my pain. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE, they pick who they want to treat. Unprofessional receptionist and a doctor who has no code of ethics. Nice building for horrible staff.
Came here today 4/25/23 . Just a little after 5 pm. The receptionist is rude ! Not welcoming at all ! Shows no compassion towards patients just rude and rushed. The rude stare is cringey 😬.
My first time visiting this location with my son. Made my appointment online and was taken to a room within minutes of arriving. Care was friendly, quick and efficient.
The staff made a very stressful situation so much easier to handle. They also were so nice to my 4 year old. Very convenient that we were able to schedule an appointment online and didn’t have to wait long to be seen.
Dr treated us with respect and kindnessTaking her time to explain things and what to expect while recovering from Flu this week
Had a video call with them and scheduled a Covid test for travel outside the U.S. They called 30 minutes before my appointment to say they were out of PCR tests. Unprepared and unprofessional is all I can say. Then had the nerve to say they are billing me for the video visit.
Came her about 3 months ago and the nurse was great , visited today and both front desk staff members were very rude , argumentative and unprofessional , the didn’t care help with any concerns AT ALL. I called prior to coming and they were rude I came in an spoke with the other staff member and it was the same terrible attitude. I get better experiences with atrium
Whoever the nurse and PA are working today 11/14/2020 are completely worthless. The nurse has zero personality and the PA just kept making excuses and trying to refer me to a specialist. Glad I paid a copay to get zero results
Im not a sick person so goin to urgent care is weird. As soon as I walked in was a wonderful experience. The front desk ladies, to the Dr that helped me.And u waited yin ur car til it was ur turn
Haley is a wonderful Physician Assistant! She is friendly, knowledgeable and helped me get better.
I went here when I had COVID and the doctors and nurses were so kind and welcoming. They really explained things I needed to do clearly to get better.
They were very professional and fast, they got me out in no time.
It is the second time that I go to this place and for the SECOND time I was disappointed... I went last Monday for severe pain (I am a patient with 7 months of pregnancy) and the only thing they did was give me the address of another urgent care because they simply they couldnt help me. if you really have a medical emergency, DO NOT GO TO THAT PLACE.. go straight to the big hospital
This is the best urgent care in the world along with our sister gohealth urgent care clinics! We give the best care to the best of our abilities. Come give us a try! I love working here!
Went there feeling pretty sick. They took great care of me. As always.Thank you so much 🙏😊Ricky Vacca
Awesome experience! Great group of doctors at this location!
A very friendly team managed to X-ray, diagnose and put my broken arm in a sling in just about an hour. I felt welcomed and taken care of despite being in a lot of pain!
I came in the evening the lady says couldn’t attend me cause i have a new york insurance. When my insurance covers me from another state in emergency terrible because i am Spanish she try to attend someone else before me i looked her that i am waiting.
I had a tiny piece of glass in my heel. PA Michelle was so professional. Cut the wound open, couldnt find it because the piece of glass was so small. She advised soaking in warm water for the rest of the day so the glass could work itself out. Bingo, all better. Thank you Michelle.
This is a COVID testing only facility, I guess. I called, and made an appointment on the website, none of which mentioned it being Covid testing only, and whoever called me let me know by condescendingly saying “CO-VID.” Over me speaking. Just looking for someone to help me with a chest x-Ray for pneumonia, so it was awesome to drive away crying because of the way your staff treated me.
The doctors are great super professional & very nice! The receptionist is horrible her name Purina!! Very rude, & nasty, will not be going back because of her! I will be calling to speak with a manager tomorrow.
Everyone was so helpful, so efficient, so nice from start to finish
This office is the epitome of a team of consummate, caring professionals. I hope I don’t need them again, but if I do, I would not go anywhere else!
They are very pleasant and the convenience of walking in to rule out Covid. Im at ease knowing that I tested negative.
Made an appointment online for a covid test for international travel. Got right in and out and everyone was super friendly! Got our results in less than an hour.
My 5-year-old son with autism has sensory and behavioral problems, the nurse told me that he had to wear a mask, I told her that he cant I have a note from his doctor, so she tells me ok but to stay put in one place that he does not move I understand if he was sick but he didnt go because he was sick it was because his face is swollen and we dont know why it is because he is non-verbal, the man who attends the front is the same bad attitude
My daughter was refused to be seen her injury unless she gave her SS # awaited for over an hour the clinic staff are unprofessionals.
Run from this place. They were more worried about their personal life and who they knew within the company. We waited 20 minutes to be check in. Trust me save your time and drive to park road or Ballantyne.
From the customer service to the doctor, everyone was amazing. Keep it up. Very satisfied.
Great service, took care of my needs.
This location is turning down walk-in patients after 3 PM. This is the only location that I know that does this to people. This is definitely not considered “urgent care”.
The staff is truly caring and thorough. I’m so glad the gentleman at the front desk was able to get me seen today. If you’re reading this I’m sure you know how hard it is to be seen late in the evening.. thank you!
Nora, assistant of Dr. Wiggins is awesome!
I was so relieved to see how nice this urgent care facility was! I received great care and wouldn’t hesitate to go back, or recommend them to my family and friends.
Waste of my money and time. Told me they were able to remove surgery tape and then told me they couldn’t after they took my money. Unprofessional!
Great place. Make an appointment during the week and it’s easier to be seen. Everyone is nice and helpful here.
I’ve been to this location more than once and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the doctors and nurses both times. I’ve been treated with kindness and care, and both experiences were positive.
The staff and provider were friendly and professional. The facility was clean and welcoming.
Disgusted by the video I seen on Social media regarding the racist medical receptionist. How dare she say “but you want to be here in America”.
Shontay Butler was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She deserves 5 stars!
Excellent care and on-time appointment. I would not hesitate to return.
Great staff. Front desk knowledgeable & very professional. All personnel were great. I will recommend this office highly.
There is only one word Excellence.
The doctor who saw me was AWESOME. They did an x-ray, diagnosed pneumonia, gave me a prescription and it went away. The end!
Always bad experience when i come here. This was the 3rd time! I will not come back. They are rude no customer service. It’s like why are you working in an urgent care.
The person answering the phone is extremely rude. She doesn’t even answer the phone properly. Why would I feel comfortable telling my business to someone and I can’t even get their name?
Use them last week for a rapid covid test. Everyone was exceptionally kind! And professional.Thank you for all you do♥️
Doctor was very professional and helpful. Quick service.
I was seen today and Jeanie NP, Leslie EMT, and Purina XT treating me wonderfully ! Thank you !
The professionalism, knowledge and care of the personal.
Stop saying appointment not required for covid test online and then you gotta have an appointment
Fast service and nice staff!
The staff is always friendly and caring at this location.
The Lady on the front desk was extremely rude .. dont go to this location . Terrible experience . Zero stars.
Worse urgent care I don’t know why still open
My experience was great.
Great ladies!
Helped but very rude
Great staff
