Dr. Shah has been my primary care doctor for three years. She is humble and very compassionate as a doctor. She is very knowledgeable about how I must care of myself by eating natural nutritious foods. For awhile she was working solo, which explains why my follow up appointment took longer than anticipated, but at this time in June 2024, I am pleased to find out that there are other additional doctors assigned to the Assess Rogers Park clinic. From my opinion, based on my personal relationship with Dr. Shah she deserves 5 stars for being present, listening, keeping my preventative care on schedule, and taking excellent notes. I have down loaded the “my charts app” to communicate with her when necessary. Once again, 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for Dr. Shah!!!
1 star is for my gyno doctor that I adored so much (Dr. Frances Locke Rosenberg you’re the best). When I started going here, I really enjoyed it. Everyone was kind and helpful. But as time went on, this place became such an uphill battle on getting answers and the help I needed. My final straw (I guess there’s a few) was when my recent doctor’s appointment was 4 hours long (it was just a check up). They kept confusing me with another patient and kept moving me around. Then I had a telehealth appointment that they completely missed but said I didn’t show up for. When I messaged about it I got no response but they tried charging me for it. And then I was trying to get referral’s to a specialist and they kept ignoring the requests for the proper referral numbers I needed leaving me high and dry for months. This was after I got the initial approval to see what was the issue. It was a mess. I finally decided to switch PCP and they had me come in to sign paperwork to move my records and they did not send them over. There are so many kind people that work there but sadly it wasn’t enough and this place became way too stressful for me. I was also laughed at for my sexuality, and the last few months I was with them my calls and messages were ignored. It wasn’t until this review I got someone to contact me, lol. Every time I call the customer service is extremely rude and not helpful in the slightest. If this place works for you, that’s awesome. I tried to be patient and understanding for months in case it was just a bad day for some people but honestly, I couldn’t wait any more and am much happier now that I’ve switched my PCP. Best of luck, y’all.
Had a good experience, first time here for medical attention. I was a walk in and no trouble being seen by a doctor. Was greeted by friendly staff at the front desk and attended by a very friendly nurse.
I went for my first appt with Dr. Shah and so far everything is fine. I go back for a follow in 2 weeks.
They are very unprofessional they scheduled my appointment and didn’t let me know I couldn’t be seen until the last minute and they had a week - 2 weeks to send me the message. Wasted my time when I could’ve scheduled another appointment somewhere else and somewhere better.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!
For the life of me, I dont know why my blood pressure is always sky high when I go here. I was told it could be white coat syndrome, which doesnt make a lot of sense to me because I absolutely love my PCP! Shes amazing. I didnt think I could top my last two doctors (one is now out of network and the other one went to a suburb of Access), but shes dope.Although I did like the Evanston location better, this Rogers Park location was the only one available for the appointment I wanted with my own PCP. The service and the location was better this time. Nobody arguing in the lobby. Quiet. Peaceful. Its always clean and easy to find a seat. The examination rooms are a little cramped in some rooms, but its still easy to move around. The people who take your blood tests are always super nice, patient and tolerate of my blink-and-you-missed-it veins. Overall, this was a solid visit. I hope this new(er) PCP never leaves Access Health though. If she does, Ill cry a bucket of tears. Three times, all charms!(Side note: If youre voting in the upcoming primary election, its also convenient to have White [Willye B.] Park across the street from here.)
If I could give less than one star, I would. This is the fourth time I am booking an appt to see the obgyn and getting there without seeing her. The first time, I got a call a day before saying she won’t be in for my visit and that I should reschedule, I rescheduled for the next week and I got a message from the OBGYN herself saying that she won’t be in the clinic and asked if I wanted a virtual appt(of course I didn’t as I wanted an in person appt so we can run tests and all),the third time, I got there at my appt time and literally waited the whole time of my appt in the waiting room then saw her hurriedly walk out a few mins later, I asked the receptionist and she said sorry, Dr Lisa has somewhere to be. Today, I got to my appt 5 mins late, after asking me to sit for about 15 mins, the receptionists tells me that the OBGYN can’t see me cause I was 5 mins late for a 20-30 mins appt. I have never received this kind of horrible service before. I’m never returning here.
I brought my mother in to see Dr. Shah because my mothers old provider had left ACCESS. Dr. Shah took the time to review my moms health history in great detail as well as answer all the questions that my mom had. Dr. Shah even adjusted her medications accordingly which I was very happy about. I am very happy that my mom can get the care she needs and deserves at ACCESS Rogers Park. The staff was great also - professional and friendly. I have nothing but great things to say about this clinic.
Extremely disappointed. This insurance network is a money minting scam with no regard for patients. I had an emergency, was told I can go to urgent care, they would cover it. Then refused to later and I was stuck with thousands of dollars worth of bills. One person at access com told me to get a referral from doctor for the visit but the girl at rogers park reception stopped the doctor from giving a referral as she wanted to get money out of people, when they should have given me a referral to pay. Very messed up situation, not friendly. Would not recommend using BCBS HMO Access Com.
Saturday August 27, 2022 I took my daughter and niece to this clinic to see Dr. Cook. Let me say the staff was very professional. The front desk welcomed them with open arms and the MA and Provider took their time to insure I received everything I needed. Thank you for a great experience.
This clinic is the best!! I feel comfortable with the providers, especially Dr. Cook and Dr. Oldham. The staff is kind and caring!!! I love this place and always able to get an appointment when I need it. Thanks for everything!!
Mark is attentive and compassionate. Every visit with him I can tell he is actually listening, which is rare these days in healthcare. He always works with me to find the cause of my health problems and develop a plan to resolve them. I have been with him for close to 7 years and plan to continue with him for many more.
After receiving many (and I mean many) unsolicited phone calls from ACCESS Community Health proclaiming them to be a provider for my Blue Cross health insurance, I made an appointment for a checkup. The visit itself was fine, conducted not by a doctor, but by a competent Physicians Assistant (I was not advised of this in advance). Twelve days after my visit I still havent received the results of the blood panel collected during my visit. To reach the clinic, navigating the phone tree can be frustrating, as it includes repetitive prompts. After getting through to a real person on a recent call, I was disconnected while being transferred. During a separate interaction, when I inquired about specialists in a particular field who are part of the Access network, I was *refused that information, stating that no doctors names would be provided without a specific referral. Needing a referral to have an office visit with a specialist covered by insurance is one thing, but outright refusal to disclose what specialists are within their own network prevents patients from researching the qualifications of available doctors, and in turn, the ability of any individual to have a say in their own health care. Access is just a name in this instance– and this medical group is simply another insurance-driven conglomerate– less interested in personal health care than in generating profit. While the health network is very apt at sending me *repeated robocalls asking me to review their services (after just one visit), they are negligent in returning phone calls left on a voicemail after navigating that phone tree but not reaching a real person.
Ive always had positive experiences with their staff and doctor. My doctor has always been professional, courteous and understanding. They have been very efficient with my appointments and making sure I obtain access of my medical needs
The staff is terrific and always treat me with kindness and empathy I can’t say enough about Dr Stolspart Dr. Lisa Russell,Maria,Martine and the entire team! I’m so grateful for each and everyone of them! Thanks for all you do
The Nurse Joana g is a number oneIndoing blood work so if you need your children to get a flu shot or have blood work done request her cuz you wouldnt even feel it the doctors are great too dr. Mark and dr.shaw are both great.
Dr. Shah is wonderful and easy to work with and genuinely cares for her patients. The office manager, Maria, is wonderful and addresses concerns and questions promptly and with compassion.
I had the worst experience I have ever had with this location. The lack of communication at this facility wasted my tome and money. The doctor I saw here was the worst doctor I have ever seen. She was rude and provided nothing of value. Perhaps this was cause by laziness.
Being with my family on Thanksgiving and being asked what I was thankful for made me think. The first thing that popped up in my head was my Dr. Mark S. I could go on & on about who he is and what kind of dr he is but not now. Ill just say this Thanksgiving I am thankful to have him as a dr for me and my family. He is a great Dr.
Bunch of liars. Dr Cortana scheduled me for a visit knowing my condition, when I got there, she sent me back home without seeing me or checking my condition. Not a good doctor. I would recommend seeing someone else.
Great staff all around, but I keep coming back because Dr Mark always makes me feel like he cares. That is hard to find in a doctor from my experience.
I’ve always had positive experiences at this location. Everyone is friendly and professional. Wait times seem to be pretty average for a walk-in healthcare clinic.
Nice staff, good facility & professional help. Been going here for 14 years and only had one problem during this time when I was refused water by a staff member who said she was too busy?!
Friendly and helpful staff. Only a small wait to see doctor after my appointment was made the same day.
The worst clinic I been to in my life they take to long to see patients even if u have a appointment seems like no doctors are around
Ive been going to this clinic for 3 years and the staff and doctors have been great
Mark and Brenda have been instrumental with overcoming some major obstacles in my life.
I like it, its a good place with good people trying to help who has issues of health and/or health insurance.
They took horribly long in the front and in the back and give false information
Everyone is so nice here ☺️
Wonderful doctor and social worker
Everybody there was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.
Never had a bad experience here
NP Mark is great !
Is this place still open?
Good service
The worst clinical pediatricians, very bad and despotic, you make an appointment for 10:40 and they serve you at 12:40pm Hispanics receptionist, very bad and poorly educated, you ask for an explanation and they dont know how to tell you, then they say, you are late and you arrive on time and they dont know how to take the information at once. Line of 5 people and when it is your turn to give the information for the appointment they say you were late, how is it possible if you are waiting in a final for them to take your information?
