Dont let the google reviews deceive you. I was very hopeful by the positive google reviews that this office would give me a positive experience for my first pregnancy. Not so. When I called, I was told to make an inquiry on their website and send all of my paperwork in. Five days later I called their office to try to get scheduled and was told that my first appointment - for my first pregnancy - wouldnt be until halfway through my second trimester. The worst part was the shuffle on the phone. I am disappointed, because I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Rees. If you are looking for a new OBGYN, you may want to look somewhere where the staff treats you as like a human being. Ladies, you deserve better.
Dr. Rees has delivered two of our three children-and has done an outstanding job. My wife was well cared for, our babies were healthy with good APGAR scores. Dr. Rees gives clear instructions regarding kick counts, patient calorie intake, etc. She is well prepared and at ease caring for patients whose pregnancies are considered high risk. Her office staff was always courteous and professional, as was Dr. Rees. Her staff is also well versed in dealing with issues arising from insurance mistakes. We never had any issues getting in touch with Dr. Rees when needed. I always feel very comfortable knowing that we will be delivering with Dr. Rees with each new pregnancy. I recommend both her and her staff very highly. The clinic very conveniently located with ample parking and in a beautiful, historic neighborhood.
Dr. Ruthann Rees is the consummate medical professional. She has that special gift of setting my mind at ease, by listening to my concerns, as well as explaining the why and how my issues will be resolved, without being condescending. She sets the tone for her staff which makes for a very pleasant environment. Thats why shes been my OBGYN for more than 2 decades. I highly recommend her to all women interested in being treated with dignity. Kudos Dr. Rees.
Dr. Rees has went above and beyond for my family! I’d recommend her to anyone. She not only is a top- notch provider, but she also forms a personal relationship with each and every one of her patients. We are lucky to have her.
Dr. Rees is an excellent doctor. She genuinely cares about each and every one of her patients. I am so thankful for her and the care she provides. . We are blessed to have her!
I made an appointment back in January and went to see Dr Rees today. I was not impressed all I wanted to do was have a hysterectomy done and all she kept pushing me to do was have labs, colonoscopy, and a mammogram done before the surgery. To top it all off I was told at the END of my visit they dont accept my insurance they wait until the day off my appointment to tell me this.l made the appointment 3 weeks ago. All I got was an apology and a when you get the bill just call and we can set up payment arrangements. Why do I have to make payment arrangements when this wasnt my fault? I would not recommend her and I WILL NOT be going back.
The amount of times I’ve called, and sent inquiries about scheduling an appointment here is insane. NEVER ONCE received any kind of response, even though their voicemail says “we’ll get back to you within the hour”. Absolutely ridiculous.
My first appointment today with Dr Rees and I was absolutely impressed and grateful for the time she spent with me, listened to my concerns and addressed them beyond what I expected, as well as in terminology I could understand. Not only did Dr Rees make me feel at ease with entrusting her with my menopausal treatment, her staff was amazing. From check in to her assistant Keyana (spelling?), the lab technician as well as all her staff I came in contact with.Thank you Dr Rees and staff for your care, professionalism and friendliness!!
I was recommended to Dr. Rees about an ongoing issue I have been experiencing. Even though I have my own team of doctors already, I was venturing for a second opinion. I made this appointment back in December 2022 and waited four months. When I arrived, I got a weird vibe right away…. I was taken back to my patient room and was not asked about medical history, medications, or a review of symptoms by the nurse. When the doctor came in, she was puzzled about why I was there and questioned where I had gotten a lab order from like I had done something wrong or stole it or something. I was thinking to myself “Is this not in my chart?” Because this was information given to her office staff and her own office staff emailed me the lab orders! It was the strangest thing ever to make an appointment with an office and show up FOUR months later and they don’t know why I’m there…. I understand confusion, but it felt more like an attack on me instead of “how can we help you”. It felt like a waste of my time and I was holding back tears during the whole encounter because all I wanted was a second opinion but instead was treated like I didn’t belong there. Like accidentally walking into the men’s bathroom. I think Dr. Rees is a nice woman, but I will not recommend this office. I’ve never had an experience like this before and I am still totally confused about the whole scenario. Just strange.
Doctor Ruthana Rees knows her job and does it well, She takes the time to listen to your concerns and answer your questions. Her staff are all professionals and friendly people. I love it here.
Dr Rees is one of the most well-informed and helpful doctors I’ve ever encountered. Additionally the office staff and nurses were incredibly helpful. Highly recommend!
I have been struggling with what I think is endometriosis for quite some time. I made an appointment back in June for this and the soonest they could get me in was September. I went today for my appointment and they stated that they never even had an appointment made for me. They wanted me to wait another month for an appointment. Totop it off, I was told over the phone that they accepted my insurance but when I went in this morning I wanted to confirm that & I was told they didn’t. So now I have to wait even longer for a different OBGYN that does take my insurance just to figure out why I have been in pain for almost a year. I get times are tough, I understand there’s probably way too many patients to keep up with but this was really unprofessional & not how a place of business should be ran. The man at the front desk was very apologetic though. Just a very frustrating experience in general.Response to add: The paperwork I filled out via email had “OBGYN Specialists of Columbus” written on it. When the call to me was made to set up my appointment, I confirmed the address and it was, infact, the office I went to this morning. I had an appointment with Dr. Rees, who is apart of this office. The man at the front desk also explained to me that everyone was new so possibly my paperwork got lost in the new hiring process? Either way, it truly does not matter because I’ve taken my concerns to a different office.
Dr. Rees and her staff are simply the best!! They are always so polite and understanding and make me feel comfortable every time I go there. The office is always clean and the staff always greets you with a smile. Ive recommended Dr. Rees to someone in the past and she came back raving about how amazing she was. I promise that you cant go wrong with this office!
Dr Rees is a great Doctor! She is very kind and polite. From my first appointment and through surgery she made me feel comfortable. She LISTENED with a SMILE as I shared my concerns and confidently assured me that I had nothing to worry about and that she would take care of me. She also took her time to explain to me in detail my procedure and didn’t mind if I ask her questions. Thank you Dr Rees and staff!
I have been seeing Dr.Rees for quite some time. She is the best physician that I have EVER seen. She treats my overall health and concerns. She takes her time with me and is never rushed, which I very much appreciate. She enjoys teaching and educating me on my issues, which I very much respect. I drive one hour for my appointments and it is well worth it! Her entire staff is EXCELLENT! Everyone is knowledgeable; pleasant; and efficient. I have never had an unpleasant experience. I am so grateful to have found Dr.Rees and her staff…so for anyone who decides to give this facility a try…..YOU ARE MAKING A GREAT CHOICE!!!! K.Watson
Dr. Rees is absolutely amazing and I tell everyone I know about her! Patient, caring, thorough, educational, and the list goes ON!!! She actually listens to you…and takes the time to explain why you are having the issues, then provides a plan to get you well! Cannot recommend highly enough!
I wish there was a way to leave 0 stars. I called to have a payment processed for an important document that needs to reach my surgeon asap and was placed on hold for over 15 mins! Mind you they were supposed to take the payment last Friday when I was in the office for almost 2 hours and did not! I finally decided to hang up and call back and got some type of voicemail during normal business hours! This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional! I am definitely looking for another provider once this over.
I’m so appreciative to Dr. Rees for providing me quality care and taking the time to educate me regarding my treatment options. From the moment I entered her office, I felt welcomed and treated with respect by all staff members. Ultimately, I decided to have a hysterectomy and I am so glad that Dr. Rees was my surgeon, because the procedure went very smoothly from beginning to the end. Everything has gone so smoothly and my healing has been wonderful. I wish I had found Dr. Rees sooner and I highly recommend her if you would like quality care from a compassionate and respectful doctor.
I love this office! From the front desk to the clinical staff, it’s a great experience. Stacy is so nice and helpful with insurance. Denise and Susie are amazing and make you feel right at home getting ready for Dr. Reese and Maggie. Maggie and Dr. Reese are two caring and professional providers who have a wonderful bedside manner and truly care about their patients. I couldn’t have found a better place to go through my first pregnancy with.
I am a current patient of Dr. Rees, (actually the wife of AURktman, he had the google account). Dr. Rees came highly recommended from my sister. She delivered my nephew 14 years ago. My sister had a high risk pregnancy and Dr. Rees was beyond superb to my sister and her needs. I can not express how kind and professional Dr. Rees is. In 2020, I started having irregular periods. Dealing with that, researching different approaches that I could take and then through the results of testing and other procedures, I decided to have a complete hysterectomy. I had the hysterectomy on Wednesday (11-24-21) of last week and everything concerning the whole process with Dr. Rees has been wonderful. Dr. Rees is so patient to answer all of my questions, very easy to talk to, extremely informative, and I would absolutely trust her judgement and advice with anything. She is outstanding! The office staff are so kind and Catherine Green, PA-C was wonderful as well. I did have a couple of visits with her along the way. I can not recommend Dr. Rees highly enough. She is exceptional!
I’m so thankful to have found Dr Rees. Her team is beyond supportive and helpful. I have so much trust for her and had a wonderful experience with gynecological issues as well as pregnancy. They really listen to their patients and care. Maggie and Catherine are phenomenal. They always made sure I knew I could call or come in if I needed anything at all.
HANDS DOWN, the absolute BEST OB/GYN! In 2006, an RN student, I hand-picked Dr. Rees as my Provider after witnessing her professional bedside manner, compassion, and genuine concern for patients. Dr. Rees, provided compassionate, empathetic care while conducting a circumcision on a newborn, patiently soothing the newborn during the task.At my first visit with Dr. Rees, I waited until my exam was complete to tell Dr. Rees that I am a nurse, and then reminded her that I had witnessed her professionalism and expertise. Of course, Dr. Rees did not recall the experience, but we were both elated and thankful for the past experience. In 2009, during my high-risk pregnancy with 4th child, at 30+ weeks, Dr. Rees admitted me to the hospital for high blood pressure, swelling, and pain. While hospitalized, I requested my Mom and Pastor to bring me a fried seafood platter from Rose Hill Seafood, which was cheating on my dietary restrictions (sodium and fat). Dr. Rees walked into the room and immediately scolded me as if I were her child! 😆 The genuine concern was heartfelt, but I was EMBARRASSED.While hospitalized, my blood pressure trended high. Dr. Rees was concerned and treated me like family while sitting with me and giving assurance. Dr. Rees noted that the nurse had not yet carried out orders written for me. She tracked the nurse down, brought her to the bedside, and ordered the nurse: NOW as this is a serious matter. Dr. Rees does not play about her patients!Dr. Rees frequented my bedside to monitor my progression. Suddenly and unexpectedly, the scenario worsened. Dr. Rees put her cape on and sprang into action, We are going to surgery! Dr. Rees was calm, collected, and reassuring during the entire process. I was scared to death and I cried. Dr. Rees provided an explanation every step of the way. Dr. Rees saved my life while delivering my 3-pound preemie via emergency C-section. 🦸♀️ Need I say more? Thank you, Dr. Rees. Salute! Shandrea, Skye Brooke, The Palmer & Pollard Family🌹
Update: The office reached out to me and Sabrina cleared up the miscommunication. She is the reason I decided to return. I didnt have any more issues with scheduling after speaking with her.I was given a time slot to come in weekly, so I moved my whole work schedule around to ensure I could make it. I call in to be told you have to schedule each week. If Ive been given a time slot why do I need to set an appointment each week? Was it assumed I would know this office policy when it should have been scheduled by the person who set up the first appointment? My time is just as important as anyones in that office and I dont appreciate it being wasted. I was very clear about my needs and was assured they would be met. They werent met in the least.
I simply cannot express words on how wonderful this office is. From beginning to end, its BEYOND perfection! This is the Chick Fila of Gynecology! They truly want the best for you! Absolute woman power here!! To everyone here, I truly thank you!! Youve given me my life back, I am truly grateful!!
I have been going here for a while, and honestly the visits are always hit and miss.First and foremost, I really like Dr. Reese. She is always very polite, considerate, and friendly. Plus, she explains things very simply without sounding condescending or rushed. The being said, there have been several mistakes regarding my diagnoses. I was given false information by nurses and her staff and then when I expressed my concerns, they were pushed to the side. When things finally did get straightened out, I realized that concerning my blood tests, my problems should have been caught MUCH sooner than they were. Most of her staff seems to not want to be there and that, I am guessing, is causing mistakes and simply a bad attitude. Sometimes I get eyerolls or snarky remarks for just asking simple questions.I lived in Atlanta for two years after moving from Columbus and would continue to travel down because I liked Dr. Reese so much, but her staff needs additional training or some sort of major attitude adjustment. I have recently moved again and will be finding another OBGYN, not because of proximity issues, but because of her staff.
I was referred to Dr.Reese by another Dr. to perform my surgery on my fibroids and hysterectomy. The office was really nice.I especially want to give a 5 star to Susie, shes so sweet and kind. She could tell I was nervous about the surgery but assured me that everything was going to be ok. When I first met Dr Reese, I felt comfortable and she took her time and explained exactly what she was going to do. I highly recommend Dr.Reese!!
My visit to Dr. Rees office today was one of the best doctor visits I have ever had! Dr Rees is very personable. She listened and addressed any and all of my concerns. All if the staff interaction I had during the visit was absolutely great. Everyone is very nice and professional. Awesome experience and I would highly recommend them!!
Trying to get an appointment with this office was like pulling teeth. First they make you fill out paperwork before even making you a new patient appointment, which I have seen a couple offices do, but still not convenient for the patient. Once sending in the paperwork I did not hear anything for a few hours. So I requested an appointment online and got a text message saying someone would contact me shortly to confirm my appointment. Few hours later, still no call, so I called to make an appointment over the phone and after stating they would call me back that afternoon to schedule after adding me into their system, still nothing. Called this morning and sat on hold (put on hold twice) for 7 minutes before moving forward. Was then told self pay for my first visit seeing the doctor would be roughly $750 for a cash pay patient. That is WAY too expensive in my professional opinion for ONE appointment, however that is their price. Had the scheduling issue not been so annoying and time consuming, they could have saved themselves a negative review. Be better.
Dr.Rees is awesome yall! Her and her staff were with me every step of the way, very kind and patient, answering any questions you have. Dr. Rees deliver my last daughter and did an outstanding job compared to my other 2 childrens deliveries. I would def. Recommend her to any expecting mother!
The doctor is amazing!! Dr. Reese took time to answer all of my questions. Her front desk receptionist staff, specifically Stacy was horrible over the phone. She was rude, unhelpful, and condescending. She acted like there was nothing she could do to help me. Instead of asking questions to address my needs, she made me feel stupid and worthless. I will not be back because of her attitude.
Dr. Rees and her staff were very proficient and professional while putting me at complete ease. Dr. Rees and her PA were both very patient and willing to listen and explain things in a manner that made me feel completely comfortable . I am very thankful that I chose this Dr. as my OB/GYN.
This is my first pregnancy and wanted to find a caring Dr. / staff. The staff is RUDE and unhelpful! I was filling out my paperwork on which hospital I would be using and I went up to the front desk and had a couple questions and the girl was VERY rude and could not tell me which hospital had Neonatal care(we only have two big hospitals here). Im sorry but if your front desk person does not know which hospital has neonatal you have a problem. I was never greeted with a smile. Dr. Rees was always late even when I was her first appointment and the staff never let me know what was going on nor did Dr. Rees say she was sorry for the wait. ALL lab work has to be done at Labcorp and the wait was 2 hours for me the nurse who took my blood was VERY rushed and lost my chart. I left that office and found one with a wonderful staff and it has a lab in the office!
Overall I have only one complaint. That is, follow up on phone calls. They say they will call and dont and/ or you request a return call and you dont get one.I have had no issues with Dr Rees staff, all are professional and nice. Blood work was done in her office- no need to go to Labcorp.
Dr Rees was wonderful!! I had no problem with her staff, they have even been patient with me while I fight with my insurance company for not paying for a pre-authorized in-office procedure. I had an intra-uturine oblation in Nov 2012, there was quite a bit of pain afterward, but Dr Rees was very accomodating and supportive. She was very helpful in discussing my options, was very informative and patient while I was indecisive. The oblation was great and I have had no problems since.
The best Doctor i have ever used! Dr Rees has taken care of me for over 10 years now without her my life would have been miserable. Thank you Dr Rees and staff for taking care of me during my Hysterectomy and the BioTe!
Dr. Rees recently conducted my 2nd endometrial ablation. Love her and her staff! They were all very comforting, professional, and caring. Without a doubt, I trust Dr. Rees and her wonderful staff for all of my gynecology needs. Thank yall so much for being here for me during such a strenuous and anxious time in my life!
This was one of my first visits with an GYN as a young adult, looking back, she had a lack of care about my health and no investment in my long term care. I would not recommend this doctor for gynecology.I saw Dr. Rees a few years ago and she prescribed me Metformin for PCOS, only on the basis that I was struggling with adult acne. I had NO other symptoms of PCOS. I never filled the prescription. Doctors are supposed to help solve and detect problems, not just throw medicine out that can be harmful to their patients.Edit: FINASTERIDE was prescribed to me. No bloodwork was ever taken.I’ve never had a cyst on my ovaries, never missed a period, not overweight. no bloodwork was done, no ultrasound was done. Fast forward a few years later, I conceived naturally, birthed children naturally, have had no signs of any hormonal imbalance, PCOS, or diabetes, yet this serious medicine was prescribed to me from Dr. Rees years ago. I hate to think that if I would’ve started the medicine that she wanted me to, my life and health wouldn’t be as good as it is now.
I was in the process of filling out their new patient registration form when I had a question. I called the facility twice because they did not pick up the first time and when I asked their receptionist the question, If I download the registration form in a google doc. and fill it out, because I do not have access to a printer, is this acceptable? it seemed to have irritated her. She replied, just fill it out and well let you know if you need to re-do it. It seemed to have bothered her that she had to explain to me this information and she hung up on me before I could say thank you for your help. Never going to a facility where your front desk staff is so rude.
Absolutely love Dr. Rees🫶🏻. Very thorough on my visits and our chats are always informative and fun. Very helpful at this stage of my life💗Thank you Dr. Rees
Dr. Rees as well as her staff are a rare treasure to be found. Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable about questions I asked. It is rare that a Dr take the time to actually listen to you, make sure you understand the answers to your questions, and most importantly not make you feel like you are just as important as the next person.
Horrible. The office staff was always rude & the wait time once you arrive is around 45 min. They will call you back and take a urine sample and put you in an exam room to contiue to wait for 30 plus min. If you are just seeing a nurse for an ob check up its not as long but if you are actually seeing dr. rees , which might i add is rare, be prepared to wait. She has a very cut & dry attitude & is not affriad to share her opinions about your personal life or spouce. She ONLY delivers at the Medical center & dont even ask to deliver at Doctors Hospital!!! She RUDELY dismissed me from her practice for sending Colubus regional an e-mail asking why my doctor prefered one hospital over another and was there any way they could help. I Am 20 weeks pregnant & now have to start over from scratch with a new physician. She printed out my ob records & told me she would no longer see me for sending an emil behind her back. But, I had many more problems with her than just that.
My appointment was at 3:10 as a new maternity patient. I arrived at 3:13 and was the only person in the waiting area. Within thirty minutes three other patients arrived. The office treated the young woman whod come in AFTER me before me. Its now and hour and fortytwo minutes later and Im still waiting to be seen.
My first visit to this office and I was in awe from stepping in the door. It was decorated so nicely and the staff was friendly. Upon meeting Dr. Rees, I was completely comfortable with her and she was very informative.
I love, love Dr. Rees and her staff! Kim is the best PA in the world. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She responds to my questions after hours.
Wonderful and courteous staff. AJ was a joy to talk to and help ease the anxiety of the appointment. Ive been with Dr. Rees for years and wouldnt think of ever changing.
I have confidence and respect for Dr. Rees. She and her staff have been very helpful and caring since I have been going to her. She is a good physician and surgeon. God Bless, Annette
Great staff! Very sirene environment to be a doctors office. NP Specialist Kimberly Hall is the best. Shes a very down to earth people person.
Lost my baby under this practices care. I hope it wasnt the baby aspirin I was prescribed. No sympathy given the day I went in to find out my babys heart stopped. Also no care given in finding our reason my baby died, but Yaz was given as a birth control immediately, even with all the law suits attached it. Very bad experience...ruined me.
The whole office was very polite and inviting.Reese was a very lovely woman and great doctor shes very thorough and makes you feel very comfortable. I would recommend that everyone who needs an obgyn come here.
Very caring and understanding. Really looks into your heath issue to find out the exact cause and listens to the issue you are facing. She is a dr who cares about her patients health.
Dr. Rees is awesome. She delivered my twins over 14 years ago. Highly Recommended.
Dr. Rees is very knowledgeable and never rushes you. She is willing to take the time to explain your condition and answer any questions without rushing. She is very pleasant...
Had a sudden death in the family when I made my first appointment and now all of a sudden I cant book at all. Yeah reall trash cause who do not want to make money smh. Maybe God saving me from an error.
Dr. Rees has been my ob/gyn for over 10 years ❤ she delivered my 3rd child (in 2008) - I only wish Id found her during my first pregnancy!
I ADORE Dr. Reese! She is the most compassionate, professional, knowledgeable doctor!
I have been a BioTE patient for years & love the staff & providers. Highly recommend!
Dr Reese is very concerned and professional. Im very pleased with her and her staff.
All of the staff is amazing and the doc spends time and explains everything. Rare to find the total package in one office!
Awesome Doctor and she explains everything. Staff is friendly and has great customer service.
Best OB in Columbus, GA. Her office is efficient and great! love them
Best Doctor Ever!!!! .Love Dr. Rees!
Waited 60 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Very Rude will not go back
Patient, thorough, professional and kind.
Very clean and friendly environment. I was in and out for my labs..
Love all of the staff and Dr. Rees
