We decided to try Dominion after trying Shady Grove. Dominion has less facilities for monitoring but have a great office staff. Cost is about the same and doctors had great bed side manner. In my opinion I would rate a two due to not having the desired outcome of a IVF pregnancys.

What an incredible team! Absolute miracle-workers. The team at the Fair Oaks office are all amazing, caring, and supportive, as they guide patients throughout the whole process. My primary RE was Dr. Sarajari, she is amazing and seemed so committed to helping us achieve success - I got to meet with the other doctors, as well, and theyre all wonderful. I was recently graduated from Dominion because the incredible medical professionals there helped me and my husband achieve that success. Thank you, Dominion!

The team at Dominion Fair Oaks is absolutely phenomenal, from their bedside manner to their knowledge and abilities, our experience with them was such a blessing and resulted in starting our little family. My husband and I had been trying for over a year when we ended up at Dominion after being dismissed by OB-GYNs despite worrisome symptoms after over a year off of the Depo Shot (amenorrhea followed by heavy periods coming every other week, then amenorrhea again). During our initial consult with Dr Dimattina, he was able to discuss with us what he thought the problem might be, what tests we were going to run to identify the problem, and took the time to explain what the timeline of all of this would look like. We discovered that the problem was lack of ovulation despite being off of the depo shot for over 15 months at that time, and determined to move forward with medicated/monitored cycles to give us the best chance to conceive. When insurance coverage became a stressor, Mary was there to calm us down and offer support and discuss financial options in a manner that showed how much she truly cares about the patients. Christina and Lisa were amazing and with us every step of the process, so thank you to them for dealing with my fear of needles during all of the early morning blood draws and being just as excited as I was when we got our positive pregnancy test. This practice became so much to us for the months we were seeing them, and we were so excited to stop by and show them ultrasound pictures once we graduated to the OB. Our sweet little girl was born May 17, 2020 and we are eternally grateful to Dominion for helping make that happen.

I went in seeking guidance January of 2018 following unsuccessful pregnancies. We’d been trying for about 3 years following one successful pregnancy and birth and 2 m/c about a year and a half prior. I met with Dr Kay Waud VERY shortly, after about an hour wait in the waiting room. Luckily they offered hot beverage selections in the waiting area. Everyone was very courteous and professional from the reception staff to the Dr to the billing coordinator.Dr Waud prescribed a battery of tests from blood work to one that involved going to the hospital and having a procedure done, a hysteroping-something. I was given the impression that many of these tests would be covered OR have moderate out of pocket costs. So like a good sheep- er patient, I had the blood work done and had that awful test at the hospital, which was horribly painful! After most of the tests on the checklist had been completed I came to realize I was racking up quite a tab even with Insurance. I was stunned to learn, after receiving EOB’s from the lab and hospital, that most of what was prescribed was “investigative” and therefore insurance did not cover and none of the expenses went against my deductible either. Not to mention the ancillary costs from using the hospital’s facilities for the procedure. I exhausted my entire FSA account by June paying for these expenses. I had to stop dead in my tracks with seeking fertility treatment because the tests alone to get answers wiped me out this year. I never did get ANY answers from the blood work. I wouldn’t recommend that hospital procedure I went through to my worst enemy. I know fertility treatment isn’t supposed to be a walk in the park, but that procedure was almost as bad as actual childbirth. Full disclosure on worst case out of pocket scenarios would have been nice from this facility. I feel like I was mislead on financial expectations. I really had no idea what I was doing and what to expect when I initially went in. Clearly fertility treatment is for very wealthy individuals. I am saddened and frustrated by my experience here and at the very least would have liked answers as to why I haven’t been able to conceive. I’m sure being 40 was a factor. I never made follow up appointments after the dust settled as I didn’t want to risk incurring further costs from even a 15 minute consult/follow up visit. My advice to anyone beginning their fertility treatment journey: ask a lot of questions- TOO many, never assume things will just “fall into place” because they won’t, and when you get a checklist of tests and procedures to do run it by your insurance first to get a coordination of benefits cost from them so you don’t get any nasty surprises in the mail later.Edit 09/24/21- the next year I got pregnant naturally at 42 and had a perfectly healthy baby boy 02/08/2020. So much for “unexplained infertility”.

Be ware there will be hidden fees and tricks that ruin your credit. We accepted the two failed normal IVF attempts. We fully paid 100% (including anesthesia) before the process. However, they send two additional bill which is not part of the first agreement. If they think that your knowledge of understanding to the whole process is low, they will play money games with you.

Don’t go here.Doctor and office staff are extremely rude, will lie to your face, and are degrading. Many times when I asked the doctor a question it would be openly ignored and I was often talked about as if I was not in the room.I almost didn’t leave a review because I didn’t want to relive this experience.
