I do not recommend for egg recipients. I’ve received 3 donors and out of the 3 I have only been able to do anything with 1. My last donor I didn’t get a viable embryo and they basically told me I’m S.O.L. of the money we gave them. My husband had all his testing had been fine. Waste of valuable time and money with this egg bank. I’ve already received way better customer support from another agency. Please read other reviews before purchasing from them that are similar to my issue of quality. However I appreciate and respect donors tremendously. It’s a Fairfax issue.
I do not recommend to work with FairFax. They do not have a transparency and do not share informative information. I had 2 poor quality embryos and 2 unsuccessful transfer and no positive results. They are just looking to spend lots of money. They did gang on the phone since they know that they provide me low quality of eggs. I wasted my time, energy and money.
There isnt any accountability; they have an elongated process post your results and do not assume any responsibility. They will make you go through the clinics they supposedly work with; to drag it out for 2 weeks and then point out to a clause in their policy that they knew all along. While success it not something they control, being accountable and answerable is something they do. And they do not do anything about it.
I regret to share my disappointing experience with Fairfax Egg Bank. Their communication is severely lacking, and once payment is made, they become unresponsive, leaving customers in the dark. I strongly advise potential clients to thoroughly read every section of any contract before considering their services. Save yourself from frustration and explore more reliable options in the fertility industry. If youd like to hear derails of my story and stories of others please search Reddit and other infertility forums.
Fairfax Eggbank has its quirks but overrall it thoroughly screens its donors and the customer service is superb. Definitely recommend to people trying to build their family!
FairFax EggBank is the worst. They do not answer calls and they don’t call you back… instead they send emails and avoid your concerns/questions.The coordinator I was dealing with was Catherine Cullum. She only sent emails and never explained anything to me! Plus it took a few days to respond. I never received a phone call of how the process works!Do your research ladies... The WorldEggBank is excellent!
I cannot recommend this place enough. I’ve been contemplating donating my eggs for a long time, but never felt comfortable at other offices. This office, though, was different and had a great atmosphere! I’m so glad to finally have gone through with it. What an amazing team they have at Fairfax EggBank, especially Avonelle! She really calmed me down and made me feel confident and comfortable with my decision
We bought a cohort of 6 eggs last october and 5 made to blast and 4 were PGT normal. I got pregnant on my first FET transfer and now 22 weeks with that embryo. I do not understand all the negative reviews ive had only a positive experience from selection of donor to shipping and finally with the quality of the eggs since 5 made it to blast. They also had no problems providing my clinic with all paperwork and the dr was happy with their retrieval protocol. So to those thinking of donating thank you for this gift and it does work and to those thinking of growing your family this route Fairfax is a great option .
I meet all requirements but was rejected. Im the right age, no underlying health issues, no mental health issues, exercise daily, non-drinker, non-smoker, American citizen, no international travel, however despite clearly meeting ALL requements I was not even provided a reason. When I called I was directed to leave a voice-mail even after several attempts to get in touch with the business office. I did leave my name and number but Im just being ignored completely. This seems like a scam seeing the application takes several hours to fill out yet they office cant even return my call after a week.
I have donated with FairFax 4 times with 3 being consecutive and 1 month break before the 4th round. These are my honest thoughts regarding FairFax and the egg donation process - The Good & Bad.Good:I thought the qualification process was very thorough and made sure my body would be ready for the mental and physical toll of donating. I did not think any of the testing or questions were unreasonable. I am African American/White and did not feel any ethnicity bias or issues with race. I think they took a great deal of time to make sure I was healthy for prospecting families.I had no medical urgencies during any of the donation rounds. I took to medication well, had no pain except discomfort on retrieval day. I never needed to visit the ER during any of my rounds and did not have any issues with hyper ovarian syndrome.Retrieval days were easy each time. I felt safe and comfortable and just took the day to rest after.Bad:This is where Im frustrated - Throughout my time donating, I quickly found out that information is not given to you easily. When it has to do with your results, blood work, issues arising during a cycle, they absolutely will be as vague as possible when letting you know any results and you have to ask very specific questions to get any answers. You do not get any closure or results. When wanting information during a cycle, things that I was concerned about, you pretty much just communicate by email and get their one sentence responses to some complex questions. Forget having a phone call, even if you call or request a call immediately after they emailed you, you will not get a call back anytime soon.Towards the end of my time with FairFax I went from Our medical director would like you to wait a cycle before your next round to Our medical director has placed you on hold until we get some results from past rounds within a week. No context, no more information. And clearly youd want to speak with someone on the phone for this, but nope cannot get a response back even that day. I dont know who would just respond with, Okay, great thanks! This seems like something you should call the donor and explain ..On top of that, you NEVER get to speak with the called medical director. You never get to speak with the doctor in charge of deciding your medicine dosage. They dont know you personally, they never introduce themselves even by phone, and yet are deciding very important hormone amounts to go into your body. Theyll raise your hormone dosage the next round and give you no information why unless you specifically ask your nurse and then theyll just reply with its what the doctor wants to do.Some of the care is very impersonal and I felt like just a number in the rotation after a while.I would say in the beginning youre excited for the pay, it may even sound like a good deal - But I do believe pay is low for this kind of procedure and what you have to go through, and is non-negotiable. Also a good chunk of this will need to be used just to pay into taxes as this will count as income.I would say every retrieval my expectations were lowered a bit, and I felt more frustrated with these last two rounds significantly deciding my feelings for FairFax.
Fantastic donor options, really great customer service. The rep I was working with felt sincere and thoughtful. Anytime I had questions, she got back to me in a timely fashion. Highly recommend! This is such a sensitive journey and they really made it much easier.
Do not donate!!! They were extremely condescending and did not care at all about my health or wellbeing. They blocked me after leaving a review on tiktok as well. After pumping me up with hormones and potentially giving me a condition that causes my ovaries to swell every cycle. They didn’t even call me after I had severe OHSS and passed out and dislocated my collarbone. Even after my first donation they kicked me out of the operating room and made me wait in the waiting room for my ride (who was stuck behind a major accident on the tollway.) LIZ ANDRADE was especially condescending and I could not even ask questions without her being rude or even bringing up the question months later in a “why did you ask this” type of way. I can’t donate my eggs any more due to complications more than likely due to fairfax, but the ladies at The World Egg Bank are so much sweeter, more compassionate and caring then fairfax. Please stay away.
Do not purchase eggs from this fair fax egg bank, they are terrible and don’t give any guarantees. Out of two cohorts of 6 eggs only 6 eggs thawed and only 1 turned into a blast, which didn’t work. My clinic said the data suggest that almost all failed transfers are because of bad embryos. So out of 12 eggs none were good. My suggestion is do not use these large egg banks instead consider the local egg bank donor option @ your clinic. I know it’s less of a profile viewing and fairfax offers more clear understanding but it’s not worth it. This place has terrible customer service and it makes vulnerable woman make quick decisions and doesn’t give them time or information to make a final decision when they want to communicate with their clinic. Their tactic is “make a quick purchase and deal with the questions later.” This place is awful!!! Don’t use them and save your 16000 dollars and give to a local donor at your clinic!
The client relations specialist we were in contact with, was friendly, reassuring, always eager to help and extremely professional. She really was there for us from beginning to end. We are very happy with the quality of the service and the results.
We get a egg lot from Fairfax with Can-Am in Canada. After talking with a specialist, we were told that the eggs were not of good qualities (the eggs were too small). We end up with one small blastocyst so no waranty. We have been told that eggs this small wouldn’t even have been kept normally for an IVF.
I appreciate the kindness and support I received. My questions were answered promptly with kindness and respect. Thank you ♥️
I am absolutely so impressed by Fairfax Eggbank. Andrea was so professional and compassionate during the entire process. I am so glad I got to work with her and she made the process smooth and stress free.
Do NOT purchase EGGS from this place!!! Scam!!!!This place is only about making money. When your feelings of something feels off during the purchase process trust your gut, your feelings are correct. This place is a scam!!! There eggs are absolutely worthless. They promise 6 eggs but will NEVER talk to you abour quality. They sell 6 eggs for 16000 and almost 90 percent of them are Useless. Dont trust this company. They lie to everyone and encourage you to purchase w/out talking to your reproductobe clinic. I cant tell you how bad this company is a scam. Seriously do not spend any money with this company. We purchased 2 cohorts of 6 eggs and only ONE made if- every other egg was less than a morula or it died by day 6. Read all the reviews before purchase!
Im writing this review, since I read the negative reviews, which are not really fair in my opinion. When buying another persons frozen embryos, a lot of things can impact the success of the pregnancy. i.e. (1) Is the purchaser using a gestational carrier? (2) If using a gestational carrier, is that carrier fit to carry the baby? (3) If not using a gestational carrier, does the purchasers body have problems that make it harder for them to conceive? (4) The embryo/fertility clinics experience in transferring embryos; (5) If the person having the baby is taking all of their shots/medications as required by the fertility clinic. As you can see, a lot of people that have failed pregnancies may have failed because there are things that are entirely not related to the frozen embryos quality.I used Fairfax Egg Bank. On or about 1/3/2022, I purchased 6 frozen embryos. When it was time to get the frozen embryos, they sent them to my fertility clinic within 1 week (they only ship once week). The clinic had no issues receiving the shipment. According to the fertility clinic, 5 out of 6 embryos successfully thawed. Then 3 out of 5 embryos became Day 5 Fertilized Blastocysts. Only one embryo was transferred and now I am expecting in a few months. I have 2 frozen embryos leftover.I wanted to share my experience to help others, although this is a private matter. Also, I wanted to give thanks to all of the people/organizations that made this process possible. Overall, I am very happy with the frozen embryos and I have recommended the company to others. I chose this company, because they provide the baby and adult photos for the egg donor. Also, they run a very comprehensive and thorough genetic history test. The hospital ran an Invitae genetic test on the fetus recently and the baby is healthy.
A lot of these reviews are from the donors. As a recipient of these eggs I will tell you this place is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. Once they receive their funds, they are hard to get ahold of, and will not take responsibility for making you feel pressured into securing eggs. Once you decide on a donor they give you a week to sign a contract, not even enough time to actually speak with your doctor about what you’re signing and discuss to get the best understanding of the situation. And they will encourage you to buy even if you disclose issues. Again, as long as they get their money your family means nothing to them.
I purchased eggs from Fairfax back in April of this year. Though this journey has been grueling and emotional, working with Fairfax made the process so much easier. The entire infertility course was anything but easy... so naturall when I got down to having to choose a donor, I thought it was going to be another difficult task. Luckily, Fairfax and my coordinator made it as painless as possible. I am so thrilled to say I am 18 weeks pregnant and looking forward to the birth of our little one!
Please be aware that their guarantee of getting one embryo is false. They will give you ONE replacement cohort if the first one does not create any embryos. That is it! So do believe their statement of getting at least on embryo. It’s a lot of money to give with no guarantee. They don’t tell you this when you purchase but it’s in the fine print. The workers need to to a better job at explaining how things work. $17,000 is a lot of money to spend with nothing in return.
Andrea is the best to work with, she is so kind and compassionate towards all of her patients. She was such a breathe of fresh air to work with, this process can be so stressful and she eased my mind.
Avonelle Cantrell, the rep that I worked with was so friendly and knowledgeable. She really comforted my wife and I through this difficult journey. High quality donors as well!
Stay away from this company...they exploit people who are already in despair like us. Having dealt with infertility for so many years I already had a lot of self-blame, guilt, & feelings of inadequacy. After several failed IVFs with my own eggs I was at my wits end. We decided to try Fairfax as we thought that obtainIng eggs from a 25 year old donor who already had a child would be the best option as Fairfax swears by the quality of their eggs. We purchased $18,000 worth of 6 eggs & spent another $9,000 with our lab to make the embryos. It was the last little bit of savings we had...& pretty much our last chance at this. Fairfax guarantees at least one embryo in the “early blastocyst stage”. Out of the 6 eggs 5 survived. Out of the 5 only one made it to what my clinic defines as a “pre-blastocyst” which they transferred. Unfortunately it did not result in pregnancy. When we took the case to Fairfax this is where we realized we have been exploited by this company. They got away with saying that the embryo that was NOT considered as a blastocyst in our clinic was considered a blastocyst in their standards. However after they reviewed my case, I was shocked that they decided to give me another 8. We were hopeful bec we chose a donor with recorded pregnancies. Out of the 8 only 4 eggs survived thawing although they claim they have 95% thaw rate. Out of the 4, 2 got to day 3 & my doctor chose to transfer then. However nothing happened. Again As a result we are left with nothing by this company after spending all of $31,000 with buying the eggs & making the embryos twice. Not only did they take our money without any compassion of how difficult this situation is...they also took away our last hope of having a family. Companies such as these prey on desperate people by making it seem so easy to buy the eggs of younger, apparently healthy good looking women but evidently the eggs aren’t as great as they represent them to be. Yes they honoured the 1 embryo guarantee but at the end of the day they have taken away our hope of having a baby & our hard earned money without accountability as to the quality of eggs they provide.
I cannot say enough good things about Fairfax! My entire life has been revolved around helping people and families. I am a registered bone marrow donor, I donate platelets weekly, blood every 8 weeks, and so much of my time. Ive always had a desire to do the most I could do with my time on this planet ha.I first saw fairfax on an Instagram post, and instantly wanted to learn more. I spent some time looking into them and their mission and their past donors and knew right away this is something for me!To give a couple the chance at a family, their dream, was definitely something I was called to do.From the signup process to the egg retrieval, every single person that helped me was so kind and took their time with me.I am a very friendly, easy going, and nice looking girl; yet fairfax still wanted perfection and had every test done and evaluation to make sure I was healthy and suitable to donate. They did their homework on me and made sure that I would be great to help a family in need!I highly recommend Fairfax for both donating and receiving eggs. I see the process I went through and just know that if youre looking to start a family, this is where you go!Thank you Fairfax
Thankful for all Fairfax Eggbank has done for me and my family
Such an amazing company. Everyone I have spoken to has been super knowledgeable and helpful on my journey. Highly recommend!
Place looks neat & staff is great. I definitely recommend this place
Horrible place. Very unprofessional to deal with. Was trying to get some information for a patient and they refused any donor information and told me they dont need our business and that they could care less and have plenty already. Terrible customer service. Their poor donors. I will make sure to tell several other physician offices not to use their egg bank.
I have not purchased anything from them, however, they were absolutely amazing at answering all my questions over the phone.
Avonelle was super helpful in answering all my questions and made me feel so comfortable and confident!
Amazing job! 10/10 recommend!
The preferred egg bank for my clinic!
Really great customer service!
Andrea was very easy to work with! 5 stars for Andrea!
The most helpful eggbank around!
Worst experience..Money hungry...Unprofessional...I would NOT recommend this agency to any couple..Me and my wife had the worst outcome from their products and they are not willing to replace or refund..I would recommend that u stay away from this horrible place..
Money hungry.Totally uncaring of the humans they are trying to create.Predatory advertising targeting young women to become egg donors on apps for teenagers.
Andrea was incredible. Very professional & super helpful.
Avonelle was very helpful!
All but impossible to donate to. Crude customer service.
Avonelle is amazing!
