Where to begin? First of all don’t waste your time. Shady Grove fertility will share the risk with you financially if you qualify for their shared risk program, this place does not. This place seems to be more money driven than caring about their patients. Dr. Sarhan was not the warmest of doctors and at times gave an arrogant persona. She seemed like we were more of a statistic/number rather than a patient. Not once did she call to check up on my wife after a painful procedure just to make sure she was ok. Dr. Sarhan, if you are reading this, I advise you take/give the 2 minute call to make sure your patients are ok. It will make you seem less cold and will endear your patients towards you. None of which we felt. It will help your career. Trust me. Shady Grove fertility was much more endearing. The doctors are more immersed in your well being both physically and financially. If I could give a negative star review I would. Team Shady Grove all day!!!
Without GIVF, Dr. Udoff, my coordinator Missy Coy, and the rest of the staff, I would not have the family I have today. Everyone was so wonderful, thoughtful, and caring from the very beginning. I truly appreciate Dr. Udoffs demeanor and professionalism - he made us feel calm and confident in all of our decisions. Missy Coy is a wonderful human being who was there for me throughout the entire process and provided the highest quality of care for us. We will forever be grateful to GIVF for all that they did to help make our dreams come true in starting our family and helping us bring a baby into our lives. Highly recommend this place to anyone seeking fertility treatments!
From the moment we stepped into the clinic, we were met with professionalism, compassion, and expertise. The entire team, from the front office staff to the doctors, made us feel supported every step of the way. Dr. Sarhan made our whole process easier with her outstanding knowledge, compassion, and care. She took the time to listen to our needs, answered all of our questions, made sure we felt heard throughout the process. Our nurse coordinator Mandy was absolutely amazing as well and made sure we always had been communicated to and answered any questions I had immediately. Going through IVF can be an emotional process, but the staff here made sure we were comfortable and made it that much easier on us. From consistent communication to outstanding professionalism, GIVF met all of our needs and more. Graduating from the clinic was a bittersweet feeling because even though they helped us achieve a new milestone in our journey to parenthood, we didn’t want to leave!! We will definitely be back in the future and can’t wait to work with the team again.
I have nothing but great things to say about GIVF! From the very beginning of our journey with them the staff and everyone at GIVF has been friendly and helpful. We even moved out of the state but continued going to them because of our positive experience with them! Couldnt recommend GIVF enough!
Worst hospital visited ever , from doctors , to receptionist to medical coordinator and even ultrasound technicians , all are very very rude ! I dont know how all the positive reviews are here ! Landed no where after even after 5-6 appointments , all they wanted to do with patients is ivf or iui ! not ur disease not ur infertility nothing all will be discussed is ur insurance and how much out of pocket u have to pay in iui or ivf , just in the first appointemnt itself , so CHEAP a doctor for which i have waited 3 months to book an appointment to discuss my infertility issues to give some hope in my heart , i just got traumatised by the way the doctor was just focussing on how much will the ivf or iui will cost ! not even bothering to say that they will not do this if it is not required ! Just ivf and iui and how much they will cost !!!! THATS ALLL ! Done 5-6 appointments and they are just glorifying iui & ivf only !! And i cancelled all my future appointments conceived naturally after 2 months !!
I graduated from GIVF last week because of this amazing clinic. My husband and I had no luck at our previous clinic and found this one specifically for our genetic needs after moving to the area. From calling in and talking to the ladies at the front desk to checking in and leaving they were always so warm and welcoming. The ladies who do the blood draws really get to know you and talk to you about your week. Elena the ultrasound tech is very knowledgeable and skilled at her job. I had a few questions about billing and always heard back from Diana within 24 hours. Dr. Stern and his genetics team kept us up to date every step of the way and explained our results in detail. Our nurse coordinator Missy was extremely organized, supportive, communicated with me and Dr. Udoff what changes needed to be made or if there were any updates. She made our experience stress free and always shared the best tips! Dr. Udoff answered many of our questions and concerns during our consultation and explained how their clinic worked which was very different but in a better way than our old clinic. He did my sonohystergram, egg retrieval, my mock transfer and egg retrieval. He always took great notes and gave us feedback before we left. The staff during and after my egg retrieval were very caring and gave us everything we needed to go home. We received so many updates on how our embryos were doing day by day. We loved our experience here and can’t wait to come back when we’re ready for our next embryo transfer!
We went through 2 rounds of IVF with GIVF, and I was incredibly impressed by the entire team throughout the whole journey. Every person I interacted with was incredibly kind, uplifting, encouraging, and empathatic, and it made a challenging experience actually enjoyable.I have multiple friends who have gone down this path with other centers, and many did not have positive experiences. I am so grateful I was referred to GIVF, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. They are exceptional.
Working with Genetics & IVF Institute has been wonderful! I truly have found their front desk staff WONDERFUL. Their billing department is quick, and they COMMUNICATE! Dr. Sarhan has been wonderful and so have the nurses. I came to them after a VERY frustrating experience with CCRM in Vienna. This is a very sensitive situation and everyone at Genetics & IVF Institute have been truly wonderful. I highly recommend working with them.
Dr. Udoff and his staff will always have a place in my heart. They were a vital part of my breast cancer treatment when I was diagnosed at 35. By retrieving my eggs, they have given my miracle daughters. One who just turned 2 and now Im pregnant with my second girl at 21 weeks. I cant say enough how grateful I am for Dr. Udoff and Elena and the whole team for helping me create the family of my dreams. I highly recommend them!
As I sit here writing this review I’m feeling my baby start to kick ( I’m 20 weeks). I have nothing but great things to say about this office. All the nurses, techs, doctors and office staff are all wonderful! I would like to personally shout out Dr. Sarhan. She is magnificent. From our first consultation to my transfer I felt cared for and important, not just another patient. She is kind, intelligent, and wonderful! Dr. Sarhan was extremely informative of the whole process and explained things clearly She always made me feel comfortable and when we transferred the embryo, I cried happy tears and she genuinely hugged me like a friend. Thank you Dr. Sarhan for my miracle IVF baby.
I am sorry I had to say but they were just gold digging with me. Only to suck the insurance for all the tests and blood works and ended up NOWHERE!!!Only for the doctor to put me on a 3x metformin a day (after knowing I have a fatty liver and that would put more pressure on it!) and to LOOSE F” WEIGHT cause if they do the ivf on me they do jot have the proper equipments in case of complications during the procedure. !!!!?After doing all possible tests he still insisted to do the last test they could do to see if my hubby and I have good cells to make a healthy baby??? REALLY??? MONEY HUNGRY!!! That is what I call them!He could not tell me to loose weight before he did all the tests????Whatever!! You lost me as a CUSTOMER !
Had a bad experience here today. Made me come in for an appointment at 7 AM without having insurance approval, didnt bother communicating this prior to my appointment. Nurse director placed the entire blame on me. Didnt own up to the fact that it was a mistake on their end. She was not even letting me speak. Customer service is totally lacking. After sending medical records from my previous fertility clinic this clinic scheduled me for the same tests that were already done 2 months ago. I had to point that out to them multiple times. All the good reviews here are surprising to me.
We had tried to get assistance with another clinic. We sought out GIVF as a positive alternative. We had success twice. What helped us immensely was the candor of our situation- statistics that guided our decision. The doctor who helped with our decision process is not there now, which is worth noting. Being open to options was important to us. We used a donor egg which impacted us positively rather than trying to use my eggs, which are not easily viable. Ask questions constantly as there will be times when you are confused and anxious or stressed out. Ask lots of questions about the purchase of prescriptions. It can be fairly expensive (not the worst) but you want to make sure you know what you are getting and how to use everything. Billing can be annoying from your own provider, not GIVF, so work with billing as needed. I don’t know if Laurel is still working there, but she was the biggest help with all communication and direction.
Look no further! This place is first class and top notch. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Udoff and Missy Coy, they are responsive, caring and helped me tremendously when I needed it the most. If your thinking about looking at other fertility doctors stop now and give GIVF a call you won’t regret it.
Numerous Other IVF Facilities Cant Compare to GIVF! We went to two other (for respect we will keep them nameless) IVF providers prior to GIVF. At both, we walked in and felt they were ALL ABOUT the money. It was like walking into a GM dealership, and theyre only concerned with selling you the Ferrari which was in the back of the dealership hidden. Their staff was disorganized, in many cases blatantly lied to us (telling us they didnt know how much medicines or whatever would cost us out of pocket to financially plan), the doctors were impersonal and seemingly uncaring, I would show up at scheduled tests only to discover they screwed up and never truly scheduled it, and they would often completely screw up billing no matter what the service was. IVF is stressful enough, so after numerous issues at both other providers we went to GIVF. Wow, a complete 180 degree difference. My wife got a nurse that checked on her, reminded her, and guided her through every little step. Our nurse almost became a second friend - if there was an issue there was a seamless transfer from her to an office manager of some sort to figure it out. We never had a single billing issue at GIVF. Dr. Udoff, although a little bit of a dry personality, was a great and very honest and straightforward doctor. He would tell you the truth - whether good or bad (this again was NOT something else we experienced at the other IVF providers). We now have two amazing miracle children from God - a girl and a boy.Yesterday, we attended the yearly GIVF reunion, always scheduled on Mothers Day weekend. Although we were invited many times before, this was our actual first time attending. We regret having not gone earlier - there were professional photographers to take photos of your family, face painters, balloon artists, jugglers, tons of food, a chance to thank your doctors and staff, and meet other families that went through all the tough times of IVF. No matter what, its stressful to go through IVF, but here again GIVF does something the other providers simply dont provide. We HIGHLY encourage others to go to GIVF versus any other provider. We LOVE them.
I did testings in this clinic and was supposed to receive results in 2 weeks after the procedure, it has been a month now and still no results or follow ups regarding my results which are considered to be very time sensitive due to my high risk pregnancy. I have been contacting the office and still haven’t heard anything back. I’m very frustrated from this irresponsible behavior.
These folks are amazing! With three failed attempts at another very well know clinic, we were directed to GIVF. Prior to coming here, we were told that our case was to hard and a donor egg was our only logical next step. Dr. Udoff’s knowledge of my condition and Dr. Stern’s confidence in our changes of conceiving, small as it was, awakened hope once again. I couldn’t believe it when we achieved success with our very first ivf cycle. At the previous clinic, I felt like a number but here I felt like they actually cared about me. I cannot praise these folks enough. Without them we wouldn’t have our beautiful baby boy!
Constant miscommunication and when confronted the blame is pushed onto the patient, zero accountability. There have been instructions when taking medication that are absolutely wrong and when asked to verify the nurses simply do not take responsibility and instead patient blame that they didnt get back to them in the correct manner. I would assume a place that specializes in infertility treatment would have the directions written down correctly to give to their patients but that is simply not the case. Also this feels a bit like a used car place where they push testing, genetic testing for embryos, that is not covered by insurance and is also not supported by current medical peer-reviewed publications. They acknowledge that publications dont support the test but their testing is better than the general medical community. Sound fishy? Thats because it is.
Public notice for IVF Cost Im posting the actual cost of IVF. The cost per billing for a single treatment is a jaw dropping $ 30,000 and a multi cycle $ 30,000 + Yikes. Most IVF in the DMV hovers around $ 10,000 thousand for a single treatment and $20,000 for multiyear IVF guarantee. But the office staff and billing departments were polite and did answered my question on cost.
Review as a prior egg donors who was encouraged to donated multiple times by the staff of GIVF after being accepted into the program... they would tell me how well I did after retrievals stating that I produce more eggs than the usual donor as if it was something to be proud of! They made me feel like I was doing a good thing, it was great for the recipients and harmful to myself. Warning to anyone considering, unless of course you are fine with the possibility of never being able to conceive, a decision many are likely to change there mind about once they mature and get married....Help others build a family and then as a result down the line when you want to have children know that it can effect your chances of getting pregnant. I donated through GIVF (Fairfax VA) I got picked by recipients multiple times, in fact it was 7 times in less than three years... of course none of the staff or doctors will tell you it can effect your chances of future pregnancy. Now I am left with hormonal imbalances and no luck with pregnancy after 4 years of trying. On top of that when I called the original place back and spoke with Dr. Udoff about a year ago mentioning the issues he simply turned me away with the simple response that it basically is not from donating, no mention of offering any testing to help or show there gratitude for my donation and ruining myself. You all are creating the issue while trying to help the issue. Not worth helping others(now that I know it effected me whether they say so or not) or the compensation. Why do you think they compensate so much?? Come on guys think about it, they are preying on the young and healthy who are trying to pay their way through school or financial hardship. THINK AGAIN!! They are not looking out for YOUR best interest!!! Now I will end up spending more than was initially received just to try at my chance of creating a family with my husband. Again, NOT WORTH IT!!!
I don’t recommend doctor Sarhan at all .The center care about how to take your money only when the procedure get failed I took all the medicine and blood test they made for 5 2 of them they know doctor Sarhan very well they told me everything they did is wrong and they day of the procedure I was bleeding and the doctor insists do completely the transfer also they don’t care if you pay all the money you been saving for this day 28 thousand dollars for nothing I know this kind of procedure do not succeed from the first time but I know when did every step wrong that’s mean they only care about money they did see you as a woman waiting from long time to get pregnant I worked really hard 13 hours a day 6 days a week for this day then unfortunately I found the worst doctor ever
I would absolutely recommend GIVF for your fertility journey. Can’t say enough good things about the place and the staff. So glad we chose GIVF
My experience was one where they took the time to explain procedures to me in detail and cared about making sure they followed up afterwards. They were personable, kind, and professional.
GIVF were so welcoming and extremely corporative with our journey
I called the front desk and I had a general question and Dianna I believe her name was answered all my questions and she was great!!!.
I don’t recommend doctor Sarhan
Do not recommend them
