I have the honor of being a patient at Woman’s Place in Fayetteville for the past 9 years. I’ve had the pleasure of being a patient and being under the care of Dr. A. Dickerson for the past 7 years. The past few months has been a challenge with my health, but I am appreciative of Dr. Dickerson and her team for their unwavering support; guidance; and loyalty. Continued blessings to you Dr. Dickerson and your team . God bless!SN: Thanks for your hugs at the end. It validates your compassion and connection and ease that you provide to your patients .
My experiences with A Womans Place have been positive in all aspects. Front desk always nice and sweet. Office medical and administrative staff professional, friendly, know their stuff. Dr G professional, friendly, gentle, seasoned with knowledge and straight to the point. I will keep going in and out their door as needed and as long as they are willing to deal with my personality.😁 Yupp, thats it
Do not go here if you are a women of color. I have been to many healthcare offices though-out my life and being new to the area this was by far the worst experience. The medical assistants were kind but the actual doctor’s empathy and bedside manner is not pleasant. She asked me several times if I had ever been pregnant (in which I hadn’t) and if I was sure as if I was lying based on bias and other comments that I will not mention. Very uncomfortable appointment. Also, plan to be there for two hours for a first exam because you’ll be waiting a while. These staff members need a diversity/inclusion training.
I love it at A Womans Place. Doctor Dickerson is awesome. She is very caring. I recommended several ladies go to see this office and they all were very satisfied. Entire staff is great! Thank you Doctor.
This is the Worst OBGYN Place the women are very Rude and don’t have any compassion towards the situation. They are unprofessional and Denied Me to be seen twice because of work insurance when they have been billing my medicaid for the longest. This is a Racism thing because they don’t treat white people like this. I am 5 weeks pregnant and being denied to be seen.
Ive should of known this wasnt a good practice when I walked in for the first time and there was a patient complaining at the front desk staff but I figured everyone has bad days. My daughter was referred to this office from her pediatrician. We waited almost 3 months to get an appointment and I was advised that my daughter will have to be seen by the provider by herself. This was fine and I understood that teens have reproductive rights. I waited in the waiting room for 2 hours after she was called back and when she came out she tells me that all they did was draw her blood and prescribe medication that she was already taking. No sort of pelvic exam which would of been warranted for her chief complaint and they advised her to come back in 2 weeks to do an ultrasound when her bladder is full. This could of been performed the first visit while we were there for 2 hours. The ultrasound appointment comes up and my daughter states she doesnt feel comfortable going in the exam room alone. I called the office and spoke with the receptionist about my daughters request and the receptionist states that its office policy for only the patient to come in the exam room. I explained to her that my minor daughter didnt feel comfortable or heard during her last visit. The receptionist states that she asked the provider and the office manager and they both stated the same thing. This is not the proper way to handle high quality patient care.
DO NOT GO HERE. Especially if you’re a woman of color. I was schedule to have a procedure and a nurse called me back extremely rude. She was very cold and callous in the call. I had mentioned that I don’t feel comfortable with student doctors pertaining to my health concerns and that the last time I was seen it was an hour and half from my appt time. The nurse Nicole, told me that “Dr. Dickerson is always busy, she has a lot of patients and she’s good at what she does, therefore I need to wait how ever long it takes to be seen. I told her that I understood that she has patients can she get me in a time and day that Dr. Dickerson doesn’t have so many patients so I can speak to her about my concerns. I also told her that if I were 15 min late they would cancel my appt. The nurse proceeded to say “When I go to my appts I always..” I cut her short and told her well that’s you. She also told me that Dr. Dickerson doesn’t deal with my kind anyway. When I asked what she meant by that she proceeded to talk over me .She failed to emphasized with the situation at its entirety, she insulted me during the call, she failed to prescribed the prescription, and also told me I should take what she gives. I allowed her to finish so I could get scheduled for an appt. She scheduled my appt for two weeks out and hung up on me afterward. She was supposed to send my meds to the pharmacy but she didn’t. I went to the office to ask her name because I couldn’t remember, and I also wanted to file a complaint of her insults, lack of empathy and horrible phone etiquette. I was informed there was no office manager and that the owners were the doctors Dickerson and I had to speak with them if I needed to make a complaint. The front office girl also said that the doctors don’t speak to patients so I asked who is the liaison for the patient-doctor relationship in the event of this type of circumstances. I was instructed to go through the health portal to make the complaint to Dr. Dickerson. When I did mad the complaint through the portal, I never got a call back from Dr. Dickerson at all. I got a call from another nurse saying that my results were negative and I did not need surgery, when in fact they were positive when I checked the portal. To confirm I tried to access the health portal and I could not. I called the front office again and I was immediately terminated as a patient mid care. I could no longer access the portal to view my results. When I asked for my records they told me once I go to another doctor they would send them over, I told them I wanted them for myself and she told me to come in and pay $15 fee. Which is ok. But why terminate me for the lack of care on their part? I am disappointed in Dr. Dickerson and how she operates her business. I expected more from her and her practice. It’s supposed to be a Woman’s place but it definitely felt like an uncomfortable environment for a woman. Especially “my kind”.
Ive been coming here for well over a decade and Ive always been satisfied but today was exceptionally awesome. I had my yearly appointment today at 9:50 and needed to be at work by 11:00. I let the nurse know that hoping that they will keep that in consideration so I wouldnt be left waiting too long and they absolutely did. Dr. Gordon worked quickly and proficiently and even with Labs I was able to get out of there with enough time to get home to work on time. Thank you thank you.
Dr. Dickerson and her staff are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I have been going to this practice for over 21 years. Yes, like everywhere else, there has been staff and policy changes. However, this is completely understandable within a thriving establishment. I must say that the personal treatment and genuinely compassionate staff have remained consistent. I am forever grateful 🙏🏽 to the entire staff at A Womens Place and continue to pray that God continues to bless each one of you as you are definitely a blessing to others.
I am 7 months along and moving to NC due to a family emergency, and they did not want to see how they can fit me into their clinic. I have called all the obgyns in Fayetteville and surrounding and no one can get me in. They did not even want to try to see how they can get me in and denied trying to see what they could do for me. and if you look at all the reviews, you can tell all the five stars are the people who have been going to this clinic for years so it looks like they don’t even bother trying to get new patients in, even ones with extreme cases.
I have been going to this practice for over 15 years. The staff is friendly, Im always greeted when I arrive, at each visit the nurse takes time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I have. Dr. Gordon is the best. I have the upmost respect for her. Her advice is always on point. Simply love Dr. Gordon. Highly recommend this office.
I have visited twice and both times were very delightful. I moved here without having any knowledge of the reputation of health care practices in the area and blindly chose this one based on a Google search and I can honestly say I got extremely lucky. I feel cared for and heard when I am there. Would definitely recommend to any women trying to establish care for themselves.
I love this OBGYN I had my second child delivered by Dr Gordon and Dr Dickerson is who I see more for my appointments have been with them over 12 years not sure about the negative reviews but Ive never had a bad visit here, my friend of 18 years go here as well and have been for about 11 years
So long story short, I used to come here before I had my son and I absolutely loved them. I had to find another doctor because they dont deliver babies and now that I had my son I wanted to come back to this doctors office, so I made an appointment. Once I arrived and got checked in they placed me in a room to wait for an hour and a half, I decided after that I wasnt waiting anymore I got up to walk out and thats when the doctor comes walking in the room. I tell her that it was unacceptable for them to have me waiting that longer and walked right out
I went to this place today and everything was so delightful, the staff was great and the doctor. I couldnt ask for a better place to take care of me. And today was my first time there. I will go no where else for my female needs. Thank you all so much. And I pray everyone stays safe and have safe travels to and from these holidays. Be blessed everyone
I don’t even want to schedule an appointment anymore! Front desk was incredibly rude over the phone. I cannot imagine how my experience would be as a patient
Uncomfortable. had my legs spread in exam room with Dr and 2 nurses waltz right in unannounced (one student in training im assuming) NO prior warning; dr never even informed me or asked if i was okay with this never even introduced them.. totally UNPROFESSIONAL, very uncomfortable for me i wanted to jump up and run out-the Dr should have FIRST informed the patient(me); if there needs to be a chaperone then make sure patient is AWARE/ comfortable with this and ALSO ASK PERMISSION to have a second person/student in the room THERE WAS NO CONSENT, medical stuff is VERY personal and private ESPECIALLY gynecological medicine..just very upsetting like there is no privacy or respect for patient. not to mention the standard of care for womens medicine is midevil times.. just a quick tip, if you need any in office procedure, bring your own leather belt to bite down on because that is the standard of care for pain management prevention/patient comfort. and when you complain that you might pass out from the pain or youll have an anxiety attack theyll look at you and treat you like you are the problem. very disheartening, a womans place should be a safe space for women where consent and comfort is PRIORITY NUMBER 1! instead it felt like patient comfort was the absolute last thing they are worried about here. the worst part is im fairly certain this is common practice i highly doubt this is a one off event. hopefully they see this and can re evaluate how they do things here, &do better. we need good Drs and nurses to stand up and change the standard of care for women, treat patients how you would want your mother, sister or daughter treated.
I called for a refill of some of my medications but they refused and demanded that I make an appointment to be seen in order to get a refill. I get there and they (demanded) that I do a pap smear.. I dont wanna do that.. they refused to prescribe any medications for me even though I need to have them in regular basis. They were very rude.. they have a new receptionist whos kind of rude too.I am being honest here and I have no reason to make this up. I am in pain sometimes and in need of 600mg pain killers. Will contact higher authirities and explain to them what happened and I hope they fix this.
Nurse Keisha work ethic in healthcare falls below the standard of care… I was told this by both an attorney & therapist after I shared my situation/experience with them concerning nurse Keisha…. I was also told by another licensed provider that I have rights as a patient and should file a complaint through the medical board, so I filed a complaint on their website & I was contacted by them within two days and now this situation is being investigated.I won’t/can’t share specific details on what took place or what she did to me, I’m just posting this Review for those women who are seeking a good caring OB/GYN doctor and who’s facility has Friendly/ welcoming/ caring staff as well. Yes you want a good doctor, but the nurse staff also plays a role in your healthcare as well, so please take that into consideration. I wouldn’t recommend this facility due to the type of nurse staff that they have working there.
Waited 8 weeks for a pp appointment. My husband wasn’t allowed back due to outdated Covid policies. I wasn’t even seen because they couldn’t figure out my insurance even though the office I just transferred from had zero issues. Wish they would’ve told me that when I gave them my benefits number when I made the appointment 8 weeks ago. Now I get to just hope and pray I healed correctly 👍🏻 (updating since y’all responded, I moved. That was the reason I was needed a new obgyn)
Lydia Apollo is awesome, shes professional, friendly, highly knowledgeable and is excellent at what she does. The entire staff were more than professional, they were all friendly, warm, patient and inviting. From the time I entered the door until check out was completely above and beyond what Ive ever experienced at any doctors office!!! Dr Dickerson you and your team are doing an awesome job, please continue to do what you all are doing!!?
The front desk staff and my provider have been kind during each visit and the ladies in the lab are very sweet. My experience with the MA today was so awful that I will not be returning as a patient. I have never been made to feel as awful as this individual made me feel today.
I’ve been coming here for 17 years. They delivered 3/4 of my children. The only reason why my 4th wasn’t delivered by one of the doctors here is because they stopped doing prenatal care after 12 weeks. My experiences have always been great and I will continue to come here.
I tried to give this place a chance. I tried for over a month to make an appointment. They required me to my records from my previous OBGYN. Unfortunately he retired so they were not able to obtain them. I asked if I could make an appointment anyway but was told I had to have the records. Logically, I do not understand why that is. I asked them to explain why this is but the person I spoke to continued to repeat they need the need the records. She was very rude so I decided to take my business elsewhere. I am not going to beg them to take my money.
I’ve been a patient here for a little over five years, and I’ve never encountered someone as rude as April. I’m not sure if she’s a nurse or a receptionist, but she has to do better. Her responses to my questions were very rushed, as if she could care less what I had to say! Very disappointing because I never usually have this issue with going to A Womans Place. Everyone is usually so sweet and friendly but not April!
This establishment is not efficient, requiring multiple appointments prior to performing a basic exam/pap smear. This establishment is also stuck in irrational 2020 Covid hysteria - forcing mandatory masks on employees, patients, and family members alike - in spite of the entire world moving on.Edit: A basic exam, pap smear, and breast exam are typically done on a first visit. There is no reason not to do these on an initial visit unless its to force multiple visits (with multiple co-pays) for billing purposes. There were no prior records involved, only intentional inefficiency. The sign at your check-in desk saying Profanity will not be tolerated is a Huge red flag for your customer service, but now we understand why that sign was required in the first place. We look forward to having better luck in another establishment with greater efficiency/integrity. Thank you.
On today, July 15th, I am extremely disappointed with how my scheduled appointment with Dr. Dickerson was handled! I was running late for my scheduled appointment & called to inform the office. The representative said there is a 15min grace period will you be here by 1135am, I said yes.I arrived to the office to check-in at 1134am & the front desk associate immediately told me he will need to reschedule me because its past 1130am!Im disgusted because I just spoke to the previous associate who said I have a 15min grace period. This is extremely ridiculous!I am coming to see my ObGyn for feminine expertise, drove to the facility, all to not even be treated with respect & consideration. It sets a president that Dr. Dickerson was only going to evaluate me for 5mins & give very minimal attention to my concern if 1130 to 1135 causes my appointment to not take place. This situation is truly disheartening, warrants removal from continuing any business with A Womans Place, informing my family doctor to think twice when referring to A Womans Place, & completing multiple reviews on the service I did not receive today.I truly expected more of Dr. Dickerson & the practice she runs, here at A Womans Place.I hope this will be resolved.
I have been coming to this office for almost 7 years. I have always had respect, privacy, care, compassion, and attentiveness. I have had three children and each pregnancy had different needs and they responded accordingly. I have received the same great care in other gynecological matters and even had surgery. Those have been handled well and were pretty seamless. This is a wonderful place to go. They are extremely caring and stay in the room long enough to hear my concerns. They are a great source of knowledge and a great practice.
I had high hopes for this place, but like most healthcare facilities around here the staff are very cold and dismissive and really couldn’t care less about their patients. The receptionists are super nice and sweet, but everyone else just…they really don’t care about you. If I were to summarize what I’ve had to deal with here, I’d still be writing an essay. From the doctor telling me getting pregnant was part of God’s plan to some other lady giving me attitude when I asked her to mail me something they promised to mail me since travel was difficult, to the pharmacy they ordered my birth control from not taking my insurance and causing me to go back and forth between them and the clinic, my final straw was when I called the doctor crying on a voicemail and their only response was, “You need to come in. Have you tried (solutions that aren’t solutions but basically tell you we can’t help you)?” I’ve never hung up on someone mid-sentence before, and this place got me to do it.I’ve been to several healthcare facilities in the city and I’ve concluded that in general, you can’t expect to be treated well. People here (the city) are rude, and they don’t give AF. If you’re expecting this place to be any different you’re sadly mistaken. Two stars because if you’re used to this sort of treatment, this may be the place for you. If not, well….
I was a patient here since 2013 but recently switched and so glad I did. I actually got diagnosed with PCOS at my new place which was completely looked over here. I had plenty of symptoms of PCOS and never knew why I was struggling with things that I was. I was never asked about anything else them trying to push any kind of birth control on me and when I said that I didnt want any because I know its more harm than good, I was always asked if I wanted to get pregnant and when I said no or it doesnt matter I was told well you arent doing anything to prevent it. I never felt like I mattered as a patient I felt like I was a number and they are all about get in as many as possible and get them out quickly. I will never be returning here.
For both of my kids I had two different OBGYNS. I have visited different clinics trying to find the right one but this one was great. I had a midwife who took care of me. She actually listened to what I said and gave me good advice, her name was midwife Killman. The MA who assisted her, her name was Karen was very considerate as well. However Charity who was the lab tech there drawing blood was the bomb. I hate giving blood because I always have to be pricked so many times but she did so good and did it so fast. Everything was great. The receptionist at the front, my nurses, my midwife, and even the lab tech. Highly recommend.
Found this place around 3 years ago!! I love ittttt Dr. Gordan is probably the best gyno Ive ever had in my life shes very to the point doesnt beat around bush while showing compassion and care..... Demarco is also a riot love himm
Dr Gordon was NOT helpful, informative or good at listening. She spent less than 10 minutes with me for 2 visits combined & didn’t bother to explain a new diagnosis, just wrote me a Rx I didn’t even want. Didn’t discuss other treatment options or what to expect going forward. Even some of the nurses don’t seem to like her. She 100% judged me from my uniform and assumed I was uneducated. Phlebotomist didn’t listen to me to not draw blood from one of my arms, so I got stuck twice. It took me 3 weeks & multiple phone calls to schedule an ultrasound because they don’t check their e-mails. The person you schedule your follow-up with was very rude. Positives: Front desk was nice, seen on time, nurses were nice. Will not be going back.
My gynecologist of 30 years closed his office so I was recently forced to find another doctor. I had no idea where to go so I googled, read the mostly very good reviews of A Womans Place and made an appointment. From the moment I walked in, through the initial triage and on to Dr. Gordon it was everything I could ever want in my care. I truly felt like everyone cared about me, my concerns were all addressed and I left feeling like I had found the perfect fit for me! One thing I really like is that even though it is a 100% professional medical office there is a holistic leaning and feel to it.... for instance they hold yoga classes and offer acupuncture! I highly recommend A Womans Place!
I love this place, all the doctors, mid wives, nurses and staff are all great and caring. Ive been going here for almost 3 years and never had any problems. Dr. Gordon is who I see and she also delivered my son. She was and always has been simply amazing! She knows what shes doing, as well as the rest of the staff here!
I loved this office for the fact that once you enter the building all the staff makes you feel welcomed. My lady April makes things happen for you even when u think it can’t be done. The one and only man of the office do what it do each and every time. I just love everyone and special shout out to both of the doctors rock I mean they rock I have real love for them. I would recommend anyone to visit this office.
I’ve been coming here a little over a year now and while I love the doctor that I always see, today I sat for almost an hour. I hadn’t been seen yet by her, because I had an appointment at 10:00, got there at 10:03 (driving an hour and a half away) and by 11am I left because I had an 11:30 appointment. She is amazing so I won’t let that be the focus of this review. However the white lady at the front was beyond rude, she kept making remarks and the black man was keeping me calm not to go off on her. I can’t believe how rude that lady was at the front desk, I mean customer service is your job that you chose. I never said one word and nor did she handle me. Needless to say, I’ll be finding someone local instead of doing this commute moving forward.
The nurse Nicole Killman is a racist, terrible provider, and the wait times here are extremely long (1-2 hours wait at each appointment). They overbook patients instead of spacing them out accordingly.
I just called to make an appointment and the receptionist that I spoke to (I think her name was Emily) was so nice, friendly and pleasant! I have always had a great experience at A Womans Place !
Ive been coming here for years. I love the doctors. But lately I feel they started to go down hill. Maybe its because of covid. I had an appointment and was told I couldnt bring my newborn in even though he is exclusively breastfed, in his car seat WITH an entire carseat cover over him. I was unable to pump and he doesnt take lightly to bottles. I just wanted to be seen to get on birth control so I dont have another baby. Then after being told I couldnt bring him in, they told me my appointment was at 1:30, not 1:10. I had his dad come and get him and HOPE he slept during my appointment. When I went back in they told me they were wrong and my appointment was actually at 1:10 and that the Dr I originally wanted to see (and scheduled 2 weeks out specifically for) wasnt there. I wish someone would have let me know sooner, but luckily I like just about all of them. THEN I kept seeing front desk workers take off their masks, and one did it while talking to me....but they were worried about my newborn..... it makes no sense. And I am very cautious and know how real covid is and how it can impact people and I get it. But please help us moms out. We do not have a lot of options. I was stuck in there for two hours.
I was scared and in need of treatment. They were able to get me in for an appointment in less than a week with one of their midwives. She was compassionate but direct and I really appreciate that. The news wasn’t the best but it was delivered with care and sympathy. I am so grateful to them for going above and beyond in my care. For my body and my peace of mind.
I first was an accupuncture patient of Dr. Dickerson . I felt very comfortable with her and the staff . I am an older lady with a deceased husband and had not had a pap exam in a long while. I became her OB patient and she was extremely thorough, pushed for answers that I thought were not important and they turned out to be very important. I was referred to Duke and had a complete hysterestomy and a small cancer was removed. Dr. Dickerson is an excellent physician and I am truly grateful for her thoroughness.
Every time I make appointments, the office ends up calling me to reschedule. I have been trying to get in here for months. Probably since the beginning of the year. As disorganized as they are with their scheduling I can only imagine what kind of patient care they have to offer. Strongly recommend patients look for other offices for better care, better organization, and more flexibility.
I just want to take the time to thank my obgyn drs Dr Nicole Killman for putting this into motion and with all of my follow up appointments staying on top of this matter most of all i want to thank my surgeon Dr Dickerson for making this happen my sergers was a success i knew that i was in good hands this morning i woke up feeling so good after my surgery no discomfort feeling no pain no cramps thank you drs for all of your hard work my hats off to you all keep up the good work.
My daughter had an appointment with this establishment. I dont even want to call it a Doctors office. She was in pain and needed to be looked at and be treated. The symptoms had nothing to do with COVID. These unprofessional, uncaring people did not treat her, because on the previous day, she told them she had a temperature. News flash folks, EVERY TIME YOU HAVE A TEMPERATURE, IT IS NOT COVID-19. Apparently, the oath that the physicians take: to treat the ill to the best of ones ability, does not apply at the establishment.
A Womans Place has been my primary care provider since I recently moved to Fayetteville in 2014. The doctor and nurses are friendly. They do their best to make you feel comfortable. The environment is nice and clean. I would definitely recommend others to visit A Womans Place.
Dr. Dickerson and Dr Gordon saved my life as well as my daughter. They made the life saving decision to deliver her early to prevent us both from loosing life. They were also extremely supportive while my daughter was a patient in NICU for 2 months . I was very blessed to have them as my doctors.
DO NOT , I REPEAT DO NOT go here . My experience was horrible . I came with the two concerns , one was barely acknowledged just gave a prescription. The other I have to make another appointment to get it handled . When the issue should’ve been addressed right then and there . The prescription was supposedly being sent over to my pharmacy . After waiting 2 hours and numerous calls to the office for my prescription, I still haven’t received my prescription . Smh Listen to the reviews!
I was recommended to a A Woman’s Place by a friend 3 years ago. Upon meeting Dr. Dickerson, her warm personality and how she made me feel comfortable I knew she would be my gynecologist while I am living in the area. Through conversations I found out she was from the islands.
Dr. Smith and Dr Gordon saved my life after Cape Fear Valley let me hemorrhage for 2 1/2 hrs before getting someone to take care of me. Dr. Smith was the first one there and she is extremely knowledgeable about her profession as well as being kind, gentle and genuinely caring person. Dr. Gordon is a caring, nice person as well.
I have been a patient with a Womans Place for the past 3 years. My first baby delivered was in 2012 and was a still birth. My second baby was born a year later and was a healthy baby boy. I am currently pregnant with my third baby with them. My first two experiences were nice. They were attentive to my needs and took good care of me. This pregnancy, on the other hand, has been a bit different. Let me say this first, the doctors here are good doctors. However, some of the staff and the Office Manager Gina leave a bit to be desired. I have a very high risk pregnancy and I have to take 17p shots. On a few occasions my meds were gone before I used all 5 shots. I watched a Nurse named Nadine draw my medication from a bottle that I knew for a fact wasnt mine (the bottle was empty after she took out the 1 ml shot and I had just brought the bottle in the week prior), one another occasion, someone took a piece of tape and covered the 5ml that was put on my medication bottle by the pharmacy and wrote 4ml on the tape to cover it. When I asked about it, a nurse named Kiesha became very very defensive.I started to suspect someone had possibly used it for another patient. I ended up leaving the office crying my eyes out this day because of how she spoke to me. I apologized to her before I left because I too had gotten a little upset with the situation and I wanted to keep the air clear. I called the office manager about 5 times to get this situation handled with no call back so I left it alone and decided to just keep up count on my own meds. The next bottle was fine I got all five shots. I went in on last Friday and to my surprise I was told I was out of my 17p. I instantly told her that her info was inaccurate and that I should have one more shot left. She showed me an empty bottle and told me that I was out. I was given 5ml of medication from Stewarts Pharmacy and only received 4 ml from the bottle. Sally gave me a shot from the office supply and I was okay with that because I received what I had paid for. I also had alot of questions for the insurance department and they ignored me, shooed me away, and acted as if I was doing wrong by trying to get them paid. It seems like as soon as I became proactive about my care and the treatment I was getting they didnt like it. I called A Womans Place alot because I talked to my insurance company and I was attempting to help them to get the bills paid. They discontinued my services with them and I am 30 weeks pregnant. They said I was being disrespectful because I simply asked questions, and sometimes through my tears, fears and frustration because I am very tight for money and they were charging me for what my insurance company is told you me they would cover if they called them and they would walk them through proper billing codes to fit my insurance. This was stressful to try to prove to people who would not listen or call the insurance company. I have to find another doctor, to finish my pregnancy out because I had questions. This is a very scary time for me because I had developed a trust for the doctor I was using there. I have to put my body into the hands of a stranger, to be cut open during my scheduled C section. If you decide to go here and have a high risk pregnancy and do not have medicaid as a primary insurance PLEASE keep up with your own meds and do not allow them to make you pay for their billing mistakes. Its unfair. This showed me that this office, doesnt really care about the well being of the mother and baby. Somewhere the passion for the profession has been lost here. I know that my unborn baby and me will be fine because God is the ultimate doctor. Please use extreme caution when going here...they will lie on you to cover their own butts!
I set an appointment for a big lump in my stomach that has been their since I had my son October of 2018. Two appointment prior to that for the same reason. So I set the appointment to get help. I ran out of gas with my baby and all trying to save me. Which I was denied help because of a 3 dollar copay. They also said I couldnt come back because Im crying, hurting and asking to speak with someone in private. You just dont do people any kind of way just cause you can. I feel my race played a big role in the situation. I have been to more then three spots in this town and no one wants to help me nor tell me why i have a big lump that growing and causing major pains to my body and brain .
Demarco is awesome! He took me under his wing when I had a bad experience with one of the mid-wifes, by making sure I saw the right doctor I needed to get the right treatment. With the assistance of Damarco, I was placed with doctor Dickerson, and my experience/appointment could not have went better! I will be back. See Damarco, he is awesome and will always have a place in my heart as he expressed so much compassion when helping me, he even remembered my name, my second visit!
Very knowledgeable but also very quick to put you on a lot of medication. Absolutely charges far too much, and when they cause an error that charges you extra money, they will apologize but will not work with you to fix the error. Half of the staff is friendly, the other half not so much. Do not check their staff’s prescription orders which causes errors.
I recently transitioned from having tricare for years to being able to use off post facilities, I found A Woman’s Place by searching for the best reviews and I just want to say this was the most pleasant experience I’ve had with an obgyn. Everyone is so friendly from the front desk, all the nurses and doctors, and the checkout staff. You feel right at home. This will definitely become my primary obgyn for the future!
My opinion concerns the way I feel and not a general judgment for everyone else. I believe NOT all are getting the same treatment all the time. Some people just happen to like that place and think it is good because it meets their needs. For us.. I just dont think its a good place. The music has always been boring. The doctors there dont look into additional tasks that we needed UNLESS we mentioned it. A lack of communication with one another to keep track of treatment. As I am typing these words, I have other tabs open searching for another place.Good luck.
The nurses can be rude depending on which one. I didnt like my doctors there was only one I liked she was a black short haired lady (new). They dont do proper checks on birth control neither. Mine was out of place and caused issues and didnt find out until the new doctor checked me.
I disagree with their policy of if a child is under 18 not allowing their legal Guardian with them. The staff is nice and they are only following the directions of the place. This is wrong especially if my child wishes to have me back in the room with them.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE COME HERE. They are rude as hell. No reason to be rude. Trying to be efficient shouldn’t come off as rude. I seriously hate coming here and will be looking for a new ob asap. And FYI even the guy at the front desk is hella rude. That should tell you all you need to know.
I have been a patient at A womens place for 8 years now and Ive never had a problem here. Dr. Gordon is a caring and professional person. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Everyone is wonderful, I was referred here by my PCP for some complicated things and they were thoughtful and got me in very quickly, flexible with scheduling for me and quick with lab results and communicating what was going on with my health. I would highly recommend them. Wonderful care!!!
Have known Dr. Gordon since 1997 when she was active duty in the Army, and Dr. Dickerson since 2008, when I worked at Cape Fear. Both are very professional, caring, truly are concerned about your health and the babies.
They have no care or compassion for the patient or well being of the child. Rude staff refuses to help and would rather let you and your child suffer. Dont experience the neglect they offer.
Great Place to make your OBGYN home! Very friendly staff and ALL the Doctors are GREAT. Dr. Smith is the absolute BEST!! Very comfortable setting.
Dr. Gordon is my OBGYN and shes fantastic! All the staff members are very nice, friendly and non-judgmental. I would recommend this clinic to anyone.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Im 32 weeks pregnant trying to change doctors... however when I called and spoke to the gentleman at the front desk he very rudely told me that they were no longer excepting new patients at this time, then hung up the phone. If this is how they treat people trying to get in I feel bad for the people already being seen here!!!
Wonderful place!!! Very friendly staff, I always feel comfortable. Dr.Appollo is the best, I love her she is full of energy and get the job done and feet with communication!
Doesn’t know how to answer the phone or call back.
Best staff . I always have Wonderful experiences every body is so friendly and sweet . Dr killman is awesome as well.
Everyone here was so friendly and made me feel safe, comfortable and welcome. No complaints at all.
I have been seeing Ms Apolo, midwife for years. Beyond excellent care.
Dr. Killman is always wonderful! I am happy to have found her!
Google maps has the wrong directions so it would be best to call ahead of time and get her to tell you how to get here. You dont go to the sub division you go past the apartments and its suite 201 in the red brick building.
I wish I could give zero stars! We had the worst experience with the front desk secretary and my wifes OB/GYN doctor Dickerson.
I will not come back here almost I passed out in the back area talking to the nurse they basically blamed me for the whole thing saying Im not eating and I felt the same way when I left Im 27 weeks pregnant and Im trying my hardest to find another doctor before I give birth I have been having spells for the longest and they have done nothing to help me
The receptionist this afternoon at the front desk was super rude as hell. There was a miscommunication and she made it like it was my fault.
Very unprofessional. This is the last place a woman should go for anything. How do you prescribe a medicine without knowing the official diagnosis. As a woman Im honestly concerned this place needs to be under investigation.
Great place Mrs. Dickerson is excellent. The staff was friendly would recommend.
Nice clean comfortable environment. No long wait and from my experience great communication.
The person on the phone told me they don’t do maternity care yet it’s literally in their description, and they are an OBGYN??
I have nothing bad to say about the Womens Place so far its a pretty cool place to go.
Very rude receptionist . Trying to make an appointment to get check out and he didn’t even hear what I said he just said no
Love this place.. They will take good care of you...
