Went in for an HSG and left in tears. The nurse and person performing the procedure (never knew who they actually were) were cold and laughing to each other about their personal lives. They didn’t ask if I had any questions and just immediately started with the procedure. She injected the lidocaine but didn’t give any time for it to kick in. Within 30 seconds of removing all the equipment from me, they left the room in a hurry leaving me laying on the table in tears, feeling really scared about what just happened, and in pain. A lot of women, like myself, are probably having this procedure done for the first time and nervous about its reputation. And though these nurses may be desensitized from the repetition of what they do, it doesn’t give them the excuse to pay no mind to what the patient may be going through. They showed absolutely no empathy and I just feel traumatized from the whole endeavor. I hope other women have had better experiences with this. I will never go back to that place.
My issue is with billing. I was an outside monitoring patient (my embryos and transfer was out of state). They refused to bill my in network insurance directly, over charged me, and now over a year later Im still trying to get them to give me all the information I need to have my claims processed.
Dr. Nackley and staff are amazing!
