The service from this team is amazing! Starting with their Admissions Counselors, Christy and Anna..they are amazing!!!! All the way to Dr. Angel, one of the most professional and caring HIV Drs (aside from Dr Luong) that I have ever encountered! His smile makes you feel at ease and in comfort with his recommendations and health guidance!! Thank you FORT WORTH AHF TEAM for always being patient with me and being so attentive to all my needs!
I hate having to deal with this aspect of my life because it brings up issues I still have a hard time dealing with after being positive for 28 years. The staff there was wonderful and made me feel completely comfortable. This was one of the rare times that I did not break down and cry after my appointment. Thank you. 🙏🥲💯
The doctors office side has been bad for a really long time. No accountability, no returned calls or follow through on promises. Its like a recycling program. Such a high turnover in staff, especially with the doctors. I dont ever learn names anymore, it would be a waste of my time. Now as far as the Pharmacy side of AHF, they are the best Ive ever dealt with. They always answer the phone, return calls, make an effort to get my refills when the Office side should handle it, I even had a Pharmacist deliver my meds on a Friday night on his way home from work. Was shocked and amazed yet extremely disappointed due to the fact there is no reason why the Doctor Office side couldnt have the same level of customer service and go above & beyond and to always be kind over the phone. I pray one day things will turn around for the better.
My son is being cared for at this facility. And I use “cared for” in the best possible sense. The staff ave been warm, helpful, friendly and responsive. Expect to be treated well.
I have had my issues with this place over the years. The high turnover rate of doctors and staff is pretty high. The phlebotomist and Celia have been the longest standing employees I have observed. Realizing I had to take a step back and ask my doctor how HER day is and how SHE is doing, I discovered that Life is a two-way street. I know this place has good intentions of giving the care needed to patients. As far as the pharmacy, they have been PHENOMENAL! They give me a call when my refill date approaches and send it to me via FedEx, all over the phone. The AHF phone service is automated and sucks when you need to speak to a human. But over all, I am thankful for the care they give me.
The AHF staff was great, and Pharmacy staff were always super sweet. Had a few issues, mostly with the constant change in doctors/NPs. Every other week, it seemed like someone was leaving to go somewhere else! Most of those events were planned, but sadly, all the good doctors eventually left and I was kind of left in the lurch. Eventually I had to seek care elsewhere for continuity, but I did enjoy my time with most of the staff at the facility. I had an issue now and then with pieces of the process that come with the services they provide, but most of the time it was perfect for the budget they have to work with, and the amount of money some of them are paid.
Used to be a good place. Granted, they have provided some appreciated help. I recently made a return to them when i felt i had no where else to go. But, i quickly noticed a change that was not for the better. Sure, they will run a gamut of labs, some unnecessary. Doctors that i have seen at other places have never ordered so many labs unless there was something specific going on. Never have i had to do rectal swabs like i did at this place. Ordering unnecessary labs and swabs may be easily justifiable, but i suspect its also a way for them to milk whatever program or insurance that pays. They will help to get you on a program but expect an endless wait. If you have a concerning health issue, ask too many questions, or become their little annoyance, they will likely abandon you. When calling, expect to be greeted with voicemails and prompts to more voicemails. Leaving messages to get questions answered or make inquiries will not work. No one returns the message. They were great in the beginning about communications, but that changed once they became aware of my needs and limitations. Was frankly ghosted. Well, this place has a high employee turnover rate for many reasons and i expect in a year or less, they will have another set of fresh faces making the same conscious mistakes. Ive seen many doctors and front office staff come and go. Thats been their norn. As for the pharmacy, well, it seems completely independent of them and to compare the two would be like comparing winter to spring. Takeaways: Can be a good starting point for short term care but dont expect anything much beyond that.
I’ve been coming here since 2018 when I moved to TX. I desperately wish I had an alternative option. I’ve bit my tongue not writing a review over this period of time with the hopes of things getting better. This place is a joke. From the high turn over, to no one returning calls, to lost emails, to no followups on recertification for RW, to the long personal calls employees are making while you are waiting. Not to mention how unsterile and rundown the facility feels. I mean it’s literally what this place is meant for and the people are the most incompetent, especially Celia. I had high hopes for awhile when they seemed to get better people for a couple months but that seemed to be a blip. Honestly, how some of these people still have their job after all of this time is beyond me. TX is bottom of the barrel when it comes to healthcare as a whole and this place is a shining example of that.
Love the Fort Worth location. however walking in the last few times Iv noticed the lobby is becoming little trashy and the receptionist desk for some reason they keep the lights off and it just not very welcome feeling when you walk in.i wish they could clean up the lobby and turn the lights on and bring back the welcome feeling it use to have.
Let me explain why the 1 star rating now. This place was very helpful for the most part, in the beginning only. When my husband Victor was alive and we were both sent there for treatment. But only partly helpful as it was a major headache to get the paperwork through. Due to our situation in the beginning the hassel was with obtaining the necessary information from other sources. Once we got established and a proved the firt year finally went smoothly. Then we were dropped and Victor was very upset because we were told no patient is ever denied treatment once in the system. Well we were for over a year. Then when we were reentered and our job changed to our own business, we re-did all the paperwork. Being in a business together, our information on certain things was identical. So tell me, Victor was approved on that information, then why was I denied on that exact same information for 6 months I was not given my medicine that year. And I was denied treatment for several months off and on the last year of his life and treated worse after Victor died. So much so, I finally gave up and switched all my medical to the VA, as I am a USAF Veteran. I told them in March of 2018, a month after Victors death, that I needed my records to be transferred to the VA and why. Filled out the proper paperwork and returned the following Monday so I could get my records as instructed and they refused to give them to me. It took over 9 months of both my VA. Doctors and myself send requst and authorization for them to send my records. Whats more, several months later I got a call from the AHF docort asking why I haden been in to see him. I told him that because of the way I had been treated by the different departments and denied treatment for a total of a year off and on, that I had switched my treatment to the VA and would not be back to AHF. He, the doctor was never told I was nolonger a patient there since I first told them I was switching to the VA.My decision had absolutely nothing to do with the doctors, med techs, or pharmacy employees they are all genuinely helpful and concerned for the patients. It is entirly due to the treatment and disrespect I received from the other employees there both before and after Victors death.
Front office is first class, Yet Dr Angel is a goof suffering of delusion of grandeur no longer seeking service from him, All finance s are by self,

Awesome staff . Great place for free fast HIV testing and condoms. Know you status and this place makes it a painless and efficient way to find out same day. Walk in service for testing. Appointments as well
Friendly staff...but very shady on billing and your insurance. Check to see whats covered before you let them draw blood..I got stuck with a $550 bill cause I wasnt covered through lab corp and had to go through quest...but they didnt bother to tell me this.
Very helpful love the staff. They will help you if youre not financially able to pay for HIV care.
Hard to get calls back or to get a referral to a specialist. You have to bug them to get things done.
I go here for treatment. The staff is very friendly, and always willing to work with me.
Great doctors, sometimes it takes a little time to get in.

I think it is a place where countless people are served, in particular I am 100% satisfied and my only recommendation for people is . If you dont like the service, look for another place to serve you, dont go there by force. Or if? I would do it
Hello, I would like to know if you help with ART treatment for HIV?
