I read the reviews and was concerned I might have to wait a while. I arrived 25 minutes early(I gave additional time to drive and find it) and was called just after my appointment time. Everything went smoothly and all employees were very pleasant and efficient, not at all like the bad reviews. The directions to this place are horrible but if you come to the south side of the Medical complex, there’s a large sign above the doorway that says Canyon Springs medical Plaza enter there elevators are on the left go to the third floor turn right, and it’s down the hall on your left I arrived 25 minutes early checked in.Im very pleased with the service and staff.
I am super anxious of getting my blood drawn and I chose this location in all honesty because it is close to a hospital and that calmed my anxiety a little but it was the phlebotomist that really put me at ease and calmed my nerves. The entire staff were very kind and helpful, I really appreciate Emma Mendoza’s confidence and patience while I tried to calm myself down before my blood draw and her confidence that she showed made me more confident and she was in and out without any problems. I would definitely recommend going here. I was a walk in and they got me in pretty quickly.
Do not go to this location. First issue is they arrived 15 minutes late when they open at 7am. I had an appt at 7:30am. They skipped the person who had a 7am took the 7:15back and then at 7:30 they took the 7 am back. I was waiting and they called someone back who arrived after me. At 7:45 am still have not been called back I go over to the receptionist desk where nobody was sitting and tried calling the staff over several times with no acknowledgement and I knocked on the door repeatedly and nobody came up tried getting there attention again but was completely ignored. Horrible customer service they had 4 people there but nobody drawing blood which is their job. Worst place ever. Should have read the reviews first. Dont come here if you want to get your blood drawn because it wont happen.
They ran more than a half hour late on an appointment scheduled far in advance. To make things worse, the phlebotomist had no idea what was going on in the system. Apparently it had recorded the blood draw as being complete even though it hadnt been started yet. Really frustrating to say the least, I urge anyone to go somewhere else, I ignored the reviews and deeply regret it. Now I probably have an insurance fiasco to deal with.
I don’t think that there are words to express how bad this location is. I have made 2 appointments at this location. It doesn’t matter you are still treated like a walk in. Had there been ANY other location that had appointments I would have gone there. This is ridiculous, not sure what the point of having an appointment is if they can’t stick to it. I bet these are the same people that expect airlines and doctors to be on time for their appointments or flights, and the first to complain when they are late. I bet I could read and or watch the entire Lors of the rings saga before I actually get seen. Ugh, use this location as a very much last resort!!!
Ive had 4 Blood test with different Sonora Quest Locations and this is my favorite. I got lost looking for the exact place but its on the Canyon Springs Medical Plaza. Its the left building, third floor #325. (Check the pictures). I was there 15 mins before my appointment, Wednesday morning and was in and out in 20mins.The best part is that theres no pain! I get anxiety whenever I have my blood drown but I felt a little pinch and have no bruise! I always go home with bruise but not this time. I wish I remember the name of the lady. The receptionist are nice too. Their time gets filled really fast so make sure to schedule early.
Do NOT go here. I left after waiting over an hour for a SCHEDULED fasting blood draw before I decidee to leave. The staff was nice enough but clearly didnt care people were waiting way past their time. Maybe Sonora can come up with a way to communicate with patients on how long or guess of how long they think they will have to wait past their scheduled appointment or even give folks a number. Total lack of consideration for customers. Wish I had read the reviews before I went but know i will NEVER come here again. Very disappointing. If you expect to get served even remotely close to your scheduled time (like normal people), go somewhere else!
What is with the slow wait? You guys take one person back every 30 minutes. You guys are soooo slow. Do NOT come to this location. I filed a complaint with Sonora Quest corporate on their website and suggest you all do the same, because this is crazy.
Had to bring my 6 year old to this location and Jamilee was just wonderful, she made my daughter comfortable an not scared. Our previous appt was at the Chandler Regional location on Dobson and Frye rd and I will never go back there again. They have no idea how to work with children, they intimidated her and treated her like an obstacle that has to be dealt with in order to finish the day and go home. We both left there stressed and in tears and I honestly though that my little one will develop a fear of phlebotomists. Jamilee had changed that! I would recommend her and this location in a heart beat!
I would give this place zero stars if I could. Made an appointment over a month ago and arrived at my appointment time and was still 14th on the list. It took over 10 minutes to hear the first name called back. Facility has minimal parking. AVOID this location.***Update***Finally called back 1 hour and 25 minutes after my Appointment.
If I could give it a 0 stars I would. No one at the front desk. Appointment was at 2:15 had to leave at 3pm. This place is a joke!!!
My daughter had a simple blood draw no Im not sure what its for so I wasnt sure about the appointment to schedule, the woman on the phone said we take walk ins. I went in today and there was 2 people waiting and shes like well its going to be at least 45mins right now and then maybe we will see. I mean come on my daughter is 3. You guys are literally a blood draw facility, how do you only have 1 person doing blood draws. I could understand if it was a room full of people. the front desk lady is has a bad tone and attitude for people without appointments 😒
Horrible. Not sure what the point is of making an appointment if they treat you as a walk in anyway? I was finally seen an HOUR after my scheduled appointment time. Disrespectful.
I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at your facility, prompting me to share my concerns to help other families avoid a similar ordeal. My four-year-old son needed to have his blood drawn for the first time, and what should have been a challenging but manageable situation turned into a nightmare. The initial phlebotomist, unfortunately, demonstrated a complete lack of empathy. Fortunately, a second phlebotomist stepped in and displayed exceptional professionalism and empathy. He went above and beyond to distract and comfort my child, making the experience more bearable. However, the real issue unfolded after the procedure. My son was visibly traumatized, and I made the decision to keep him in the waiting room for a few minutes to calm down. During this time, he was crying uncontrollably. Shockingly, one of the staff members at the reception made an inappropriate comment to an expectant mother in the waiting room, suggesting that her baby wouldnt behave similarly and wont be like my kid. This remark was not only unprofessional but deeply hurtful.I regret not addressing the issue at that moment, as I didnt want to create a scene in front of my distressed child. Never before have I encountered such a lack of professionalism, rudeness, and empathy in a healthcare setting.I strongly caution families against choosing your facility for medical services. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and it seems I am not alone based on similar sentiments expressed in other reviews. I wish I had taken the time to read these reviews before subjecting my family to such an unpleasant encounter.I hope you take this feedback seriously.
I was a little hesistant to try this location because the reviews were so low but its closest to me and I prayed for favor before I went. God is always working things out for me! My check-in was quick and easy. My wait time was quick. Ms. Cynthia (or Sylvia or Claudia....my apologies, I do not remember her name) was excellent! She made me feel welcome and took her time to ensure she struck gold (blood) on the first stick. It was painless and fast. The staff were very friendly and I got my results back super quick. I will definitely be back. You all provided an excellent experience and I thank you! :-)
Always unprofessional, on the phones, and in the office. Girls were talking gangster in spanish about me and my daughter.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT DO NOT GO HERE!!!The most rude service I have ever received. These ladies at the front desk are what I like to call passive, aggressive. I did NOT have an appointment and expected to wait some time as there were a lot of people in the waiting room. After over hearing another women (she had been sitting there for even longer than I had) politely ask how much longer it would be for walk ins. The front desk ladies responded they dont take walk ins. They said its posted on a sign on their door. Maam, I think its pretty apparent neither us saw that sign and when we checked in the LEAST you could have done was gently let us know, this is an appointment only facility instead of letting us both sit there and waste our time. Absolutely unacceptable!!
This place sucks. Nobody works the front desk. You have no idea how long the wait is, so you get to sit around and find out that theres multiple people ahead of you.
This blood draw for 4 vials was a cinch and completely painless because Timothy is obviously a very skilled phlebotomist. We would all benefit if there were more like him. I always make a simple appointment online before I go, I just wish I could request Timothy each time.
I used to go to a different location, where the wait WITH an appointment was never less than an hour. Since this location is by appointment only, I decided to see if it might be any better. I will never go anywhere else! My 5-year-old son and I both had to get blood work done recently, and both times we were in and out in about 10 minutes. The front office staff is actually NICE here, and their phlebotomists are friendly and professional. The woman who did my sons draw was so gentle with him and made sure he felt safe, while also working quickly. The man who did my draw was friendly and conversational, but what most impressed me was his skill. I felt NOTHING with the draw; first time ever!! I didnt feel the needle go in, I barely felt him change out the tubes, and I felt almost nothing when he removed the needle. Best of all, I have no bruise or soreness the next day. This has totally taken the stress out of blood work!!
There are three Sonora Quest labs approx the same distance from my house. I always choose this location. Theyve never been super busy when I go (usually late am) & the wait time is 20 min or less without an appt. About a year & a half ago I had a lady draw my blood & she got it on the first try with no bruising. Usually people have a hard time finding a good vein to use. I love the location & the office is always nice looking & clean.
Lost my blood sample. Had to call because I’ve been waiting for two weeks. Staff was extremely unprofessional. I don’t love my job in medicine either, but acknowledging someone at the desk in basic courtesy.
You must have an appointment only, which you can do online. The staff was kind and efficient. I haven’t been to place that draws blood be so quick. I was even 10 minutes early to my appointment! I recommend this place!!! I’m coming here next time. Plus the lady who drew my blood didn’t even hurt me...
It doesnt have good service. Hours of waiting and the results take a long time to be delivered.
I arrived early for my appointment. The receptionist told me to signed inn at the Kiosk & then sit down. After 25 mins. the receptionist called me and asked for the doctors order, I gave it to her & I asked her am I be next, she said no, three more people ahead of you. I said, my appointment has passed already. After 45 mins. the phlebotomist called me who did the blood work, who is so slow and even the two receptionist. More than a dozen patients are waiting in the lobby. I think you need to organize your system.
Well, if you need the people who don’t an appointment to wait at least 2 hours you should inform them when they give you the order! The front desk didn’t say anything !!!! Absolutely nothing ! A white older women who doesn’t have an appointment and was patient ahead of us went in 30 mins ago before they finally call me? what the fun? Is this place also racist? I will never come back here,Previously, brought my one year old here to do a blood test. A nervous and incompetent Phlebotomist tried two times before they finally call in a supervisor ! if you know you can’t do it , why not ask for help ! ?
I am what this industry calls a hard stick. Therefore, drawing blood is always a nightmare for me. I feel like a pin cushion. I find this location clean and organized. My favorite person there is a woman named Mary Ellen. She finds my vein quickly and always gets it the first time. She is what I like to call the big guns in this location. She works the front desk and is very patient and friendly. I wait for her as much time as I need because she is that good.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. My wife has a serious Thyroid condiiton and has to get her blood drawn often. We have 3 children and I work during the day. Today she brought our children with her to this location, like she has done many times before. However today, was turned away even though she had an appointment. We now have to find a new time (and definitely with a new company) to get her blood drawn which will affect her doctors ability to give the right medicine dosage. I am disgusted by this company and their staff. The way the handled the situation was completely unprofessional. Due to the fact this could have medical complications with my wife, please expect a law suite soon.If you have kids, and appreciate a company that is family orientated and conscience. STEER CLEAR OF HERE.
I have been ignored for almost a hour , by Gina at the front. I signed in . She took everybody behind me. I made a call to corporal , and am expecting a call from them soon. I arrived at 1:38, it 2:44 right now and I finally got checked in. I thought my appointment was at 2 but after calling, I found out it was at 2:45. I would think someone could of said something, but instead just totally ignored me . Corporate thought it was totally wrong and I should talk to a team lead. Waiting on it!!!!!
I was a walk-in. Two patients with appts were ahead of me, but reception was very helpful, informed me my wait would be approx 10 minutes....was actually 6 and I was done. Pleasant office and personnel professional. Recommend!
Dont bother, unless you want to arrive an hour early with your hiking shoes on. Even then youll probably never find the lab without stopping however many people it takes until someone knows where it is in this giant sprawling campus. Theres only one sign youll encounter, and its while still driving, that neither points you toward the correct parking lot nor the lab. Even if you end up parking in the wrong lot according to the sign and mistakenly end up near the lab - which I unfortunately did not do - youll never know because there are literally zero signs for it. Unless youre already a patient of another practice at this campus then they should never accept appointments here without providing detailed directions - although even those probably wouldnt help because none of the buildings are labeled - not even with a number - so theres no way to even direct people there. Then, if by some stroke of luck you run into someone that knows where it is, good luck getting your results easily online. Their useless website directs you to yet another website. Hows that for privacy? And then that website makes you wait an hour after one of those horrible credit-reporting-bureau-fashioned identity verifications that not even you can pass...lmfao Im not kidding...and then cant even display your results giving instead an email address or phone #. Its been a while since Ive had this poor of an experience with a company on so many fronts but these guys really managed to foul up every aspect of our interaction... Good luck in the future Sonora Quest, you really have your work cut out for you.
The staff is always great and if you make an appointment you get right in. I get blood work on a regular basis and I wont go anywhere else. Im not sure why their rating is only a 2.2, but I think people get frustrated when they have to wait, but SQL cannot control if they get a ton of walk ins and the wait times get long. If you make an appointment your max wait time is only about 15 minutes.
Was a walk-in and even when nobody was in the room I STILL WASNT CALLED BACK. I was waiting over 2 hours and kept watching them bump my name back to 9th slot! Never even took my info that whole time just a check in on tablet. I should of looked at reviews. Crazy how they can be paid so much to act in such a way. I had to leave due to fasting and being diabetic.
A bit of a pain to get to since it is inside of a high rise building by the hospital, so parking is really limited especially in the am. Had a scheduled appt and went back on time. I like that it is appt only..it makes the waiting room quiet. It is not busy like the others where it is standing room only. However I gave it 2 stars because the phlebotomist was not experienced for the position. Young girl that 2nd guessed herself after she stuck me. She could not figure out why blood was not coming out & which tubes to use. Being that I am a nurse..I told her she blew thru the vein & remove it! They need to shadow their newbies a little bit longer there until they feel comfortable or hire more experienced staff. Not good..
Thank you Myra for making my bloodwork a painless and quick experience. You were amazing at easing my fears of finding a vein, past experience made me anxious. This will be my go to if needed again!
If I could give less than a one star, I would. This facility is the absolute WORST facility Ive ever been in contact with! If you have blood work than needs to be sent to your Dr. In a timely manner, or at all... find another establishment ASAP. NOTHING IS TIMELY. THEY DONT ANSWER PHONES AND THEY ARE ALWAYS SHORT STAFFED. Theyre unbelievably unorganized and have no clue what sense of urgency means, not to mention the rude staff that handles the calls and appts. All the fake apologies to so many disappointed customers should be a heads up to everyone. If they were sincere, the chaos in this office would have stopped when the complaints started and have gone on and on.
Took my wife here for a blood draw, and apparently the staff here doesnt know the difference between HCG (what the doctor ordered) and hemoglobin A1C (what they tested for). On top of this, Barbara the maladroit lab tech bungled the actual draw itself, causing bruising and a fairly significant level of pain and discomfort for my wife. And when she called to discuss this with a manager, she was given the run around on the phone until finally just leaving a message... Which still hasnt been returned. The convenient location is not worth the indifference and incompetence, we will not be returning to this location.
Only make an appointment at this location if you want to wait 1-3 hours to be seen AFTER your appointment time. Absolutely ridiculous. What is even the point of an appointment???
I am scared of needles in general due to phlebotomists digging in my arm in the past (not their fault really, I’m notorious for veins that are difficult to locate) so I was very nervous but Myra was so nice and I barely felt the needle go in. Her energy was calm and I calmed right down too! I’d go to this location at Banner Gateway and ask for her if you can.
I called to make my appoint as i left my doctors office instead of doing the appointment scheduling online. that lady was so rude. honestly if my doctor wasnt sending me here i would have hung up and went somewhere else.
Bait and switch: scheduled a Covid test, made me wait anyway, don’t have insurance, system said $0 at online scheduling, the want $100 AFTER you get there. Corporate pigs
Had an appointment there today at 7:30 am, got there and checked in. There were another 5 or six people who didnt even had an appointment (You can tell as they wrote so on the check in sheet). When I got called in, I told the tech that I didnt have my order but that she could call my doctor to verify it as I get the same tests every year. She said she could not do that as it was against their policy. I explained that I was fasted and had limited time to get tests done as I had to leave and go to work which is why I had made the appointment. She refused to help me which would have taken a quick phone call. I even offered to pay for all the labwork cash just to get it done thinking that maybe it was a hang up over money and again they refused. I called my doctor who then said that it was weird they wouldnt help me as they always transmit their orders electronically. The tech could have verified this if they would have taken a minute to help. My doctor also said that in the past they had gotten calls from other Sonora locations when patients are in this situation and its always been verified with a quick phone call. In the end, I couldnt get my labwork done and was late for work which ruined my morning. My doctor even verified that the electronic lab order went through. Avoid this location in the future. I will not give them my business anymore and will be using a CIGNA chandler lab in the future
Front desk check in is rude, appointment only. Really hard to find. They expect you to understand what to do. If you dont have an appointment...they cant tell you approximately how long the wait might be. While I was there...there was no one in the waiting room. All she could say was that I came at a good time....730am!!!!!
This organization has the worst business plan I have ever encountered. Customers are expected to learn all their rules before arriving or they will NEVER be seen. Staff really act like your bothering them. It’s too bad that insurance directs you to a lab that you MUST use. No one would ever choose to come here. I would rate them zero but it only goes down to one.
Wow unbelievable. This place is by appointment only and yet we are waiting over 40 minutes. The lady at the front desk is RUDE and unprofessional, to say the least. I will never ever come back here and will steer everyone I know clear of this place. Being nice goes a long way your staff should try it sometime maybe you can get better than a 2 star google review.
Website - Horrible. Hidden buttons. Deleted appointment. Now wait another week.
I had called Wednesday 3/29/23 for questions regarding my child’s testing sent out by the pediatrician, left a voicemail as requested with my personal information and still have not received a call back almost a whole week later ! Not professional whatsoever.
Walked in at noon and havent even been called up to register. The office person tells you to just sign in and sit down. She should let us know we wont have any other conversation with you for at least 90 minutes before we call you up. Extremely slow. The turn around on patients is awful.
This place was fantastic. My appt was at 10:30, i arrived 15 minutes early incase i needed to fill out paperwork, the lobby was packed, i was in at 10:32 and out by 10:34. My phlebotomist was amazing!! I will never go to another place for bloodwork. Thank you guys!
Very weird about cell phones, and I see why. They try to cover up their bad service with rules like this. The front desk was completely rude, and the doctor had very little care for patients. Wish I could put zero stars for a place like this!
Waited for an hour with our newborn in the waiting room, just for a screening (blood test). The wait time is absolutely horrific. I would clear your day if youve got an appointment here.
Went in at about 3 pm to drop off a 24 hour urine sample and get blood drawn. They were quick, efficient, and clean.
Front desk staff is rude. Waited over 45 minutes for a routine blood draw and there were only 2 people in front of me. Ridiculous. I will not come here again.
Got here at 730 Am. These people are rude. Take them forever to take a drug test. Sonora Quest is bad service. I walked other places it takes 15 minutes. Staff here is horrible.
Ridiculous long waiting time. Only 1 person drawing blood. They have a computer sign-in. Waited 20 minutes just to get checked in. Almost 2 hour wait.
Always busy. Don’t go on Monday or Friday. Computer check in difficult for older patients. Never an appt available on line.
The phlebotomist are great
This place is always super slow there was only 3 people waiting and it took them and over an hour to get to me and its like that every time I go. Looks like its time to find a new lab.
No stars, appointment only. Was told to walk in and wasted my time
This place closed early. Was told by a very rude person to go look up on my phone an open lab. No compassion, patients, or anything you would expect from a health care professional.
Walk ins will wait a least 2 hours the busiest Ive ever seen a lab.
If you are OK waiting an hour when they are not busy then this is the place for you. Cant imagine the wait time when they are busy.
Staff is rude and you have to sit and wait a very long time to get your blood drawn.
Clean, prompt and everyone was nice and professional. No complaints.
We never received the INR results taken April 18, 2016.
Walk in sign in pee in the cup. 15 minutes back in my car.
Staff very nice, people who draw the blood are excellent.
Good service, results were quick
Why were an hour late
Wait time is an hour. No, thank you.
I like that its appointment only
Staff is always friendly
Efficient and knowledgable
