I had some concerns with my health this morning and they was super fast and was the kindest people. The nurse Ruby was the best nurse I have ever had and her name is Ruby. They was all very friendly and give me information I needed as I was not feeling good. God bless them.
The Entire Staff was so Awesome. The front desk rep Aailyah was so nice and very professional in greeting me and providing me all paperwork needed for registration. And X-Ray/Nurse was super kind and polite and explained everything that was going to be needed for my care with the doctor. And the Dr Owens she is so nice and polite/ understanding and explained my situation and took action into what she was subscribing to help me get better. ❤️🩹 Thank you so very much!!
I needed to get a Tetanus booster. They helped me find out when I received my last shot, and let me know that now was a good time to come in. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The medical assistant had a great sense of humor and administered a practically painless injection. Dr. Maskel has a great bedside manner and made me feel at ease. Thanks guys.
Aaliyah was very nice and helped me get checked in due to me not feeling well! Callie took very good care of me when taking my vitals and made me comfortable when getting me the care I needed. Dr.Owens was phenomenal and explained everything thoroughly! She has great bedside manner and took her time when evaluating me! Great job AFC staff!
This place is a joke the lady at the front desk was so helpful but the one that did my vitals could careless she just wanted to be on her phone and she’s an LPN they put me I a room and made me wait for an hour and a half before anybody came and did my X-ray then the doctor really didn’t give a care about what I had going on he told me to a someone in the front when I asked him a question… Yea I wouldn’t dare come back here!! I guess it depends on who you are for them to care!!!!
My doctor provided me a more than satisfactory visit. She extended compassion in my situation, had great bedside manner, and seemed genuinely caring and thoughtful for the entire duration of my visit. I can tell she is good at what she does and shes one of those people thats meant to do whats shes doing! I pray she always be blessed and same for the rest of the staff.
The doctor and nurses are amazing. They take care of you as if you have been coming to them as a private patient. On point with your issues and you feel cared for when you leave. Dr Maskell and his team can’t be beat. My family and friends will definitely recommend.
Everyone there is so nice and considerate. I came in with knee pain and they cared about my pain tried to make me as comfortable as possible. While Im was waiting for my xray to be read I could hear them talking about getting a drink from the fridge. As a joke I shouted out my preference. A minute later the xray tech showed up in my doorway with the drink. And then offered a drink to my husband. Not necessary but appreciated. They got me in and out quickly so I could go home and rest. Super nice facility. Thank you all.
10 all the way Dr. Maskell has always helped me. I appreciate his expertise, so much. The front desk staff is fast, kind, and helpful. The nurses have been excellent.
Ive been here with my son and daughter many times mostly for colds/bronchitis/ear infections and everytime the team is friendly, efficient, and have prescribed meds that took care of the issues. If you go in the morning = barely any wait time. In & out.
Saturday is the worst day to injury yourself at work. With the amazing teamwork of my Wendy the receptionist of the day, working with my job to get me in and answer all of our questions. the friendly and fun staff. Ruby had just the best personality and was a delight to be help by. I will have to make this my go to Urgent Care for now on.
The team here (Trina, Jessica, Ruby, and Wendy) are hands down some of the best people Ive had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of.Knowledgeable, wit, and great bedside manner make for an amazing experience here with this spectacular crew of people.I highly recommend.
Dr. Lynn Owens, Katie, Karen and Aaliyah provided excellent service to me on July 12th when I came in with a huge, very painful hematoma from a fall on July 4th. Dr. Owens & Katie, the xray tech, lanced, drained and dressed my wound which relieved the pressure and pain which had been getting progressively worse for a week. I am now doing great, without pain and the wound is healing wonderfully thanks to their care.
Dr.Maskell always friendly. Mrs Ruby ,Nurse Really really nice. She loves her work Receptionist Wendy really friendly. Will be back Hope no time soon😄
I so appreciate AFC Urgent Care on Wade Hampton Blvd. It is not often that I need their help, but I can count on them when I do need them. Like yesterday. The staff out front greeted me with smiles and very quickly signed me in. When it was my turn, I was taken back by Katie. She was great, very friendly, bright, thorough, professional, and was a good listener. She did the preliminary exam, bp, temp, asked questions, etc. She also did my xray. Dr. Lynn Owens thorougly checked me out, read my xray. She is a very patient, very good doctor. We had a good discussion. I left the office feeling like I had been well taken care of and was clear on what I needed to do next to take of my issues. Thank you Katie and Dr. Owens.
Very professional.... the whole staff that Ive seen anyhow. Heck Id rather go here than to my primary doctor . They do a great job to see to it your comfortable while in the building an the doctors an nurses take the time to actually explain things to you rather than seeing you as a buck in the their pockets .
All the staff were extremely professional and didnt mind having a quick conversation. The doctor even told a few jokes.Would definitely recommend
Felt right at ease, starting with Wendy at the front desk, and then Ruby took such good care of me when I wasnt feeling well. This medical team truly cares about their patients, and I highly recommend them!
Friendly staff! I had some kind of a bug bite that got infected. The doctor told me what to do and gave me my prescriptions. But why did they ask me who my pharmacist was because my pharmacy did not have my prescriptions on file. My doctor gave me my prescriptions by paper anyways
I came in for an injury sustained from a fall. The staff were wonderful from front desk check in, the X-ray technician and physician. They were very kind and efficient.
The staff at AFC Wade Hampton were very attentive to my injury. I had a great experience both times I was there. Rubys customer service, in particular, deserves 5 stars!
This office absolutely is a nightmare! I told my 2 year old daughter today to be seen. When we arrived we was the only patient in the building. We waited at least 15 minutes before anyone came back to get us. When we was finally taken back the lady who was doing all the weight and all never checked my daughters vitals! She made me take her temperature. Was very short with us. After she walked out I was changing my daughter’s pull up and the doctor came barging in. Never introduced himself or anything. Put his stethoscope on her chest roughly and barely listened. He then quickly checked her ears and throat so fast there was NO possible way he could have noticed anything. He looked at us and said use a vaporizer and opened the door and started to walk out. I said you do realize she has a history of 7 brain surgeries! He said she will grow out of it and walked away. I was so mind blown and in tears almost. My daughter will never grow out of her brain issues. It’s permanent. He didn’t swab her or anything to check her for anything!!!!!! She is severely coughing and wheezing and has green mucus pouring out of her nose. She has been fevered. She has severe diarrhea and sore throat and had chest pain. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone I know! I will definitely be letting EVERYONE I know about this experience there!!!!Whoever is over these offices needs to reevaluate their staff and that doctor. He was an absolute nightmare!!!!!
Came in with Question about getting my Blood Pressure Medication Prescription Refilled,,Met by Snobby Attitude by Front Desk Receptionist.First and last visit here,Especially when the Sign says Urgent Care, but get hit with Dont Care a Bit Attitude.
I highly recommend AFC Wade Hampton. Wendy was very nice in checking me in and very professional .The Nurse, Mrs Ruby and Dr Maskell took great care of me, they are very kind and professional.
Doctor truly coudl care less he checked ear for maybe 3 seconds and jus said lets spray with water. There female nurse the one who looks she wants to die and has that stupid look on her face could also care less more than 5 reviews on this site talk about tye same nurse dont go here dont go DONT GOOOOO Even after I paid 200 dollars to be seen the jus gave me ear drops ans u said this should work- didnt even know what was wrong they jus like to guess sense there still getting paid only give person u will meet is the secretary in front . Terrible place to go dont trust people who.dont care about you with your life .
All the staff were great...from welcoming, triage nurse and the doctor. My 10 year old daughter was treated quickly, thoroughly and with care. We certainly will continue to come here for urgent care. God bless you all!
Most pleasant experience Ive had at a facility of this type. This will be my facility of choice should the need arise. Everyone was professional, courteous and knowledgeable from entering facility until leaving.Thank you!
- I have always used you over many years in emergencies and have recommended you even in recent weeks to a couple people who were very pleased with your service Everyone was professional, pleasant, quick and helpful - Dr., nurse, and reception ! Thank you
Had a visit today and the staff were very nice. Dr. Owen was ver professional and wonderful as always. Thanks for helping me again. Poison Oak is TERRIBLE!
Ruby and gang were pleasant and easy to work with. Relatively easy in and out for a DOT physical. Great vibe!
I came in to get my ears cleaned. My hearing had been completely blocked off from the left side. I left being able to hear like a bat
Took my 14 month old for possible strep. Everyone was very nice and patient with my daughter, who’s very shy.
I have been twice to dr maskell and he is always professional and friendly. Wendy today was a great nurse who checked me in.
Wendy at the front desk was amazing. She got me worked up and then later had to call back because my pharmacy was closed. She made sure to let the doctor know and where to send the prescription so I could start it.Doctor MASKELL, listened to my concerns and worked quickly to get me in and out to start feeling better! The staff were amazing! Merry Christmas
The staff always seems to go half the distance. This is not the first time I have left unsatisfied. I cut my finger, the doc looked at it, put salve on it and a bandage. It still hurt when I got home, I looked under good light and pulled a piece of black iron out of the cut. Very reason I went to the doc
I was treated in a different office location, but Katie from Wade Hampton was extremely helpful in locating tests results for me!
The Ladies at the front desk are amazing, friendly and very helpful. Thats the only reason this place got 2 stars, the Nurse, and especially the Dr. Was very unfriendly, we felt very rushed (even though there was no one else there). I had my 4 year old grandson there to be seen for possible sinusitis and pink, itchy, watery eyes. The Dr barely took the time to look at him, was in there no more 2 minutes, and said hes fine give him over the counter allergy meds. I tried to explain that he is already on allergy meds but he was out the door. We will be seeing our normal pediatrician today!!!
I went in for a x-ray on my hand and everyone inside was super helpful and friendly. would definitely recommend if you need to get a x-ray.
I called this establishment on Friday to see if they administer TDAP and accept our insurance. I was told YES for both. 5 days later I bring my son in for the TDAP and was told that I would have to pay for the vaccination and insurance was not accepted for this preventive measure. So pretty much they wasted my time. The young ladies at the front desk were nice. However, they werent sure of the check in process, billing process etc. (Maybe they were in training). They were receiving directions from an seemingly uninterested lady in the back who didnt feel the need to stop scrolling on her cellphone to assist them. The following day my husband took our son to the AFC facility near Cherrydale. The customer service was excellent. Our son received his vaccination. And our insurance was billed. The process was seamless. Hats off to the management and staff of the Cherrydale location. Avoid the Wade Hampton location next to The Canopy Car Wash at all cost.
I was treated really well by Wendy and Ruby. Competent, efficient and friendly, they were all of it.
I have seen Dr. Miskell for more than 25 years every Couple years without fail he’s always on top of things very professional, and a very likable doctor. The staff is also always been very likable and easy to work with.
My husband was COVERED in poison ivy and was miserable from the constant itching. The staff was so friendly and efficient. From signing in to walking out the door, we were there less than half an hour. The facility was nice and clean and the staff seemed genuinely happy. As urgent care centers go, this was our best experience ever. Wed happily recommend them!!
I really had an urgent situation the night before a long trip. Katie was super nice over the phone and said to be there next day when they opened to take care of me. Dr Meskell and her were super nice, took great and prompt care of me and I was on my way to the airport in 15 min. Very friendly and professional at the same time. Ill be forever grateful to them!
Their website clearly says they do annual physicals but when I went in person, the receptionist said they dont.
The staff is top tier here! 10/10 and the provider Trinia is excellent 10/10 service! Would recommend my family and friends to come here!
Took my 16 month daughter here over the weekend because shes been sick for a few days now with a fever and congestion and pulling at her ears, plus we couldn’t get in with her regular doctors. They checked her ears throat and lungs and said everything looked ok to just keep giving her Tylenol and Motrin. Wife thought it would be good for a 2nd opinion with her regular doctor so we did first thing. Glad that we did because she has a bilateral ear infection! How this was missed I’m not sure. Disappointed that it was and I know it didn’t pop up over night.
Wonderful care at this location! Minimal wait time, friendly, helpful staff, and terrific doctors.
Super pleased with the care received. Only negative was the wait time. I had prescheduled around 9:20am for 10:06am but was nearly 10:35 before I was called in after having 4 others come in sit a few minutes and be called back. Nonetheless, no complaints and nothing but praise for the nurse and doctor. Both were very very thorough and were engaged to know as much detail as I could give. Thankful for their attentiveness.
Front desk ladies were great with check in and answering questions. . Nurse was AWFUL. Probably the most unhappy , most hateful person I’ve ever dealt with in health care. Pretty sure she hates life and she wants everyone else to suffer and be miserable to. She was not kind to my 4 year old , I mean … who’s mean to a sick autistic kid with a fever of 102 ???? The doctor was ok. Better than the nurse , but that wouldn’t take much. I recommend anyone to go anywhere but here. I had no choice because Prisma isn’t taking UHC currently and it was an urgent issue. I will not be back.
Front desk attendant was very nice and professional while speaking to me, nurse that was with us listened very attentively. The doctor I dont think looked at any of the nurses notes that she took down because he asked me about something that wasnt even related to the symptoms I had lol. But got down to my issue fairly quickly after I stated my issues and so far the meds are working beautifully.
I was able to make an appointment online for the same day. I arrived to the appointment and was immediately taken into an exam room. I explained why I was there. I was listened to and felt very comfortable. I had to get an injection in my rear end and Ms. Donna Livingston was amazing. She was friendly, funny and she listened( the most important thing). The doctor, Ms. Livingston and other staff were very professional and very friendly. I also work in the health care field and I was very grateful for their service.Thank you so very much. I am already starting to feel better. I will definitely return to see them if I have any other issues.
I had written a rave review about the facility and the quality of care, however, after two days of suffering with a bad side effect from the medicine I was prescribed, I called to get it changed. I was told the doctor was with a patient and would call me back. FOUR HOURS LATER I called, and was told they had called in a new prescription. When I said it wouldve been nice if I had been notified, I was told they were too busy. So cancel my good review. THAT was unacceptable.
I am always happy with my visits to AFC Wade Hampton. It’s easy to get appt. And the staff/Drs are kind and caring and have always taken great care of me! It’s my first choice for care:)
They r the best Everyone, nice ,cherrydale turn me down service because of a smallbill, call wade Hampton, they help me,they are the best n Greenville, wade Hampton
Very nice people and they get you in and out quick ruby was extremely kinda and helpful.
I always go to this location because I can expect great service. Dr. Owens and Katie were prompt and kind today helping me with a medical issue. Aaliyah is so friendly at the front desk and was patient in helping me update my information. Would recommend!
Great experience when I went into the door with my wife who needed treatment. Receptionist was fast nurse came out quickly took my wife back and doctor was right behind the nurse. The nurse was super great and had a wonderful bed side manner that helped calm my wife down. The doctor could not find what was causing my wife’s problem due too her vitals being so good she got a shot in the butt. She never felt a thing and due to my wife having a fear of a needles, the nurse took care of that problem. We both are super happy with the visit and my wife is her 100% normal today. To us a great place to go and will highly recommend to friends and family.
Very professional staff...HIGHLY Recommend. Wish Dr. MASKELL WAS IN private practice!
Dr. Thomas Maskell is a very knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. I have been coming to him for years. He and everyone who works there have never failed to give me great medical care. When I was there a few weeks ago, my nurse, Donna Livingston was very kind and helpful to me. This is the place to go for emergency medical care.
My son and I both checked in online today. Waited till I was 2nd in line and we headed over to their office--we were taken in directly. We had checked in online so we had no paperwork to fill out and no wait. Jaime was very friendly and helpful. Tammy was kind and the nurse practitioner, Linda, was thorough. My son saw, Dr. Crumpler and Kellie two days ago (today was follow up for him) and they were also thorough, kind and cheerful. It was a great experience all around. We highly recommend this urgent care.
I made an appointment (height of flu time) the night before, walked in on time and was taken back in about 3 minutes. Waited to see the doctor for about 3 minutes. He heard me out, gave reasonable ideas for treatment and wrote a prescription. Dr M (male doctor with blondish hair) was enjoyable to talk to and got the job done quickly. This was my first here. Great doctor and welcoming staff.
Every person that I had contact with was caring, courteous, and interested in helping me out! That’s very rare these days. I am very thankful for all of the staff at Afc Bon secours in Greenville SC
Amazing team, got me in & out without making me feel rushed or like my health wasn’t important.
Made appt the night before online. Text message received. Went to appt. In, out. Well done! Kind, Busy, very Organized. Way to go with Covid care. Took care of business as I was hanging on the cold walls just to get through the doors.
I went here because Bon Secours bought the office where my doctor is. My doctor is the absolute best but now they have to focus on profit so its very difficult to get in when you get sick.On to AFC... Doc came in and asked so whats going on? Which is customary. I answered, I think I have a severe sinus infection then he replied, still standing in the door in which he walked, No. Its a cold. Then he walked over, looked at my throat, listened to my lungs, sent a prescription for cough syrup to the store and off we go. A couple of hours later my fever jumps to over 102! I decided to take a home covid test and guess what?! Yup, covid!I understand the first string doesnt play every game but this is Healthcare! Bon Secours and Prisma have both gone down the drain since theyve been purchased and now have to turn a profit. I wish I could give 0 stars!!
Thank you for seeing me right before you close. Everyone was very kind and the treatment for my allergic reaction was immediately effective. I know I kept you all past closing but I am thankful you did! The staff was professional, kind, and efficient.
A definite 10. The staff were super friendly and efficient. Really appreciated my physicians caring attitude! Only that the people Ive encountered in Greenville has me seriously considering moving from Charlotte NC to here.
They made me feel like I was a thief. The person at the desk ( the brunette one) is not really people skilled. She is not very not flexible and quite unpleasant. I have an European accent but my English is pretty good. She didn’t make me feel comfortable. She also asked me about my medical problems in front of other people. Very embarrassing. The nurse was very abrupt, unfriendly and unwilling to understand my issues. But ready to denying as she had the opportunity to. I had to wait hours and I have been charged for unnecessary exams.
The staff at this location were so friendly and kind, Best urgent care Ive experienced!!! Fast and courteous service, Extra thanks to Wendy, Catherine and Anissa for the kind and wonderful service
My youngest daughter has made a habit of getting sick on evenings weekends😅, and we’ve had to make several trips here over the years. We are always well taken care of and have never had to wait long. Dr. Owen is great!
Wendy was exceptional and kind. Everyone in the URGENT CARE clinic is very helpful. Beyond expectations. Excellent in health care
I had a tooth abscess on Labor Day and the dentist office was closed. Thank goodness for AFC Urgent Care. They examined me and were able to find my prescription from the year before for antibiotics. Toothache is a horrible experience and those antibiotics calm down.
It was a stressful day, but every interaction we had at this facility helped me and my hurt 10-year-old feel more and more at ease. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism!
I came into office in a lot of pain and was seen right away. I was seen by Katie and Dr Leland with suspected kidney stones. After an xray to confirm, they took really good care of me and had me in some relief before I left. After a couple of days, the office called to check on me and to see if I had passed the stones. After hearing I had not and that I had became sick, Dr Maskell stepped in and ordered a CT scan and a urology referral. At the end of the week,, they called yet again to check on me. I feel like the staff at AFC went above and beyond in my health and well-being. A big shout out to Katie, Karen, Dr Leland and Dr Maskell for taking really good care of me! Also, I have been to AFC before for a different issue and had a good experience with Katie and Dr Owens. Nobody likes having to go to urgent care, or emergency rooms but if you have to, I recommend AFC on Wade Hampton.
I do not recommend this urgent care!!!!Today is December 28 - I saw the doctor on call (December 18) and was treated for an infection in my ankle. While there the necessary samples were taken to check for other problems.I have called twice; and have not heard results of the test. The antibiotic that was given was not enough. Three days after visiting the center my ankle was the size of a jar (I weigh 90 lbs). Thankfully - I went to see another doctor. What a disappointment! How can this place use the name - Bon Secours? This is not Bon Secours reputation and sloppy care.
Receptionist was wonderful! The nurse who took me back was nice. The nurse practitioner Karen was not caring at all . She was quite rude and did not really listen to what I had to say. She kept saying… I don’t know why you are here! I over heard the rude tone she used as she went to the doctor to explain my reason for being there. I would hate for someone who was really sick to be treated like I was today.
I was very disappointed with this particular location. Not only was there an extreme lack of professionalism by the front desk staff, there was no opportunity for patients to share the reason why there were there or their personal information, without the entire waiting room hearing. The front desk employee would often yell to the back and ask information about specific patients, and all could hear, how is this not a HIPPA violation? The doctor and nurse were great, however all of my prescriptions were not called in, when I called back to the front desk, after 15 attempts someone answered, and proceeded to tell me I didn’t need one of the meds. I had to firmly tell her I did, and ask that the doctor call it in. I never got a returned call, and when I called back an hour later, I was told they would call it in to a different pharmacy, which didn’t happen. 5 hours after my appointment, and 3 pharmacy trips later, I got my correct meds.
A reasonable wait time. Courteous service. The nurse was kind and Dr Owens administered treatment I needed and gave me exercises to alleviate pain. Very helpful and will return.
The nurse was amazing, very friendly and awesome with my son. My son has autism, adhd and anxiety, he is scared to go to the doctors office at all! But the nurse took the time and tried to calm my son down!! I really appreciated that! I wish I knew her name! Thank you though!!!
Everyone from front desk, nurses, and doctor were excellent. Not an extremely long wait time, but when I got to the exam room I was in and out. Doctor and nurse were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my situation. 10/10!
Dr. Owens did a great job stitching my finger after a little run-in with a reciprocating saw. She and her staff (Stephanie and Miranda) were extremely kind and personable. I experienced virtually no wait time, was seen by the provider within 15 minutes, and left with 4 stitches and x-rays within the hour. I will absolutely go back to this urgent care -- but hopefully not for more stitches! -- and the best part is that its part of the Bon Secours group, which is preferred by my insurance. Save yourself some time and frustration, and go see these guys!
My concerns were completely ignored. My visit with the doctor was distasteful and unsatisfactory. He did not ask about my condition or spend more than 20 seconds in the room. And after this 20-30second visit he rudely told me as he was crossing the hall into a new room if you need a note you can get it from the front desk. I came in for cardiac and respiratory concerns. He did not ask me any questions, introduce himself, listen to my heart or do a complete exam. He honestly went through the motion not even touching my heart with the stethoscope. Im a very out spoken person and I would normally address this but he went out the room so fast and straight into the room across the hall that I sat there for a couple seconds in shock that this was the medical treatment I am receiving.Granted he was probably having a bad/long day but I feel my symptoms and concerns deserved to be heard. I left their facility uncertain of what to think, or what to do.
This morning i was seen at AFC Urgent care on Wade Hampton.I was in & out in 45 min. This time included getting an xray & eesilts of same. All the staff was very professional, helpful & knowledgeable.
We got in quickly, front desk, nurse and physician were all FANTASTIC. My teenager was quite upset and all of the staff was caring, reassuring and empathetic. Will definitely use again if the need should arise.
Saw Dr. Maskell yesterday because I was starting to develop a URI. When I arrived there was no one waiting. What an unusual occurrence.I was greeted warmly and the receptionist, Ashley, even found a balance on my account. She did all the paperwork for me so I could get my money back. They are very professional and efficient in their work and I was out in less than half an hour. Amazing these days.I really love this office and how they address the patients needs. I would highly recommended them to anyone.
Great service! Quick, efficient, and friendly experience. Everyone I encountered was so nice and kind, including the lady at the front desk, the doctors assistant, and the doctor himself. Thanks for taking good care of me!
Dr Maskell an Mrs Ruby was very kind an helpful in assisting me on my visit
I had a great experience all together. Aaliyah at the front desk greeted me as soon as I walked in the door with a smile. Jennifer and Katie was amazing also, they made sure I was taken care of the entire time I was there. Dr.Owens is very great at what she does and is very informative.
While visiting Greenville my husband fell and broke his right arm. Our daughter (who is a MA) took us to this urgent care and we could not be more thankful. They promptly took us back, examined him, took and x-ray and found the broken bone. Then they sent us home with his discharge paper and a CD with the images on them for his ortho doc to see! What an anxious time and an awesome doc, Lynn Owens, MD! Thank you from the bottom of our pea pickin hearts!
From the moment we walked in it was nothing but rude people. The receptionist about to break the keyboard I half typing our information in like she was mad. She kept saying she was tired of this and wanted to go home. All 3 of my kids were sick and being good to have been waiting a while. How she looked at them and spoke to them were just.. rude. Then comes the doctor.. doesn’t say hello doesn’t say who he is just “who’s first” and he basked what’s wrong with them and just gets a swab and swabs my kids mouth and walks out. Comes back a while later with results and says have a good day and walks out. We go around the place figuring out where to go since no one is helpful in the whole place. Will not be back and do not recommend to anyone
Dr Lynn Owens was understanding and kind. Listened to what we said and explained everything. Receptionist Aalya was very pleasant and helpful. Medical assistant Jennifer was friendly and also listened to us. Been going there for years. It’s the place to go to when you don’t feel good
I hurt my wrist 2 to 3 months ago, I thought it would go away thinking it was sprained or something, I came in for a xray but the Dr I saw was very rude. He didnt xray it told me it would feel better in 2 weeks not knowing what is wrong, he dismissed me and now Im still hurting, waste of money and a waste of time. Drs should stop dismissing people when they are hurt. I cant hold my son or use my hand/wrist, this is very unprofessional.
I was able to call ahead and register my emergency while en-route to this AFC facility so that by the time I arrived I could walk right in with very little time wasted. They understood my situation in a very compassionate manner and communicated in a most excellent delivery of services throughout. I have used this location before and it is not the closest one to me. But I prefer the level of care I received and therefore going out of my way was clearly an advantage. Much thanks to Stephanie, Katie, Miranda and Dr. Lynn!
I went in early on Saturday morning and was taken right back. Ceasar was helpful in getting me signed in and then Hope looked after me. She was kind and patient, very efficient with questions. Dr. Maskell was responsive and able to offer solution to my issue. He was reassuring and I felt confident in his diagnosis. They were all good and even though I wasnt able to do urine test right away, I felt no pressure from them to get the test moving along.I would recommend this facility to friends.Grateful, as I am newish to Greenville to have found a good facility to help me in my discomfort.
Took my friend to Cherrydale urgent care about 8:15 am and while waiting the power went out for the building. We were sent to the Wade Hampton urgent care. Staff at Cherrydale called and told Wade Hampton staff that we were coming and why. The unprofessional staff at the front desk at Wade Hampton admitted they were called and told we were coming. My friend was put at the back of the patients line. When I questioned the staff the lady said other people were ahead, but that was not true. People were checking in after walking in and they were called ahead of my friend. Over 2 hours waiting. Never again!
If I could give this review no stars I would. I went to this AFC location today after not being able to have my appointment at the one on Augusta (much better staff). At around 7pm the Augusta location called the Wade Hampton location to let them know they would be sending a patient over to their location due to the fact that they had run out of the vaccine needed. Immediately they were hesitant. Mind you they were open for another hour and the drive from one to the other was only 11 minutes. When I arrived the younger lady at reception was very nice. As we waited, another nurse had come out to rudely tell me to put my mask on (mask was clearly on my face and was only slightly pulled down to make a phone call, also would like to point out that the nurse at the receptions mask was also pulled down same as mine and we were literally the only people there). To continue, we were finally called back, and another nurse rudely handed me a piece of paper and said absolutely nothing to me. She then as my autistic daughter when her birthday was rather than speak to the parent. Additionally, she gave her the vaccination and said to her, we are about to close. (time approx 7:40). After I left, I called back to the office approximately 10 minutes later to ask about the reporting of the vaccination to the school and if someone was supposed to fill something out on her vaccination report. It took for me to call 4 times before someone answered the phone. Once she answered the phone, I politely asked her the questions I had, and she passively and rudely responded with the following. SHE gave you a paper! Did SHE not give you a paper? Initially, I replied no because I was unaware of what the paper that was given to me was considering no words were exchanged when given. She placed me on a short hold and came back on the line responding. SHE said she gave you a paper. In the moment I looked at the paper and saw that it was a printout with the date and the vaccine. I then asked her if this would be sufficient for the school? It appeared to me due to her age that she may have many years of experience and thought she knew what I should do. She told me to, FILL IT OUT YOURSELF! Thats when I pretty much lost it. Her rudeness and lack of patient care at this point had gone too far. I raised my voice and asked her if she had ever filled out her childrens vaccination reports on her own? There was a severe lack of professionalism and care given today. I do not know what the problem was. I could guess but I will leave that where it is. She really needs to be in a different profession or retire. If everyone doesnt deserve the same care in her eyes she really should get out of the business of people.
The nurse was amazing, thoughtful, and caring. The receptionist was kind as well. HOWEVER, the doctor barely looked at me, acted annoyed, and showed zero empathy for the fact that I was literally crying in pain. He did prescribe antibiotics so I guess he did the bare minimum but way to keep that bedside manner bar low.
Everyone at AFC was extremely friendly and courteous. The nice lady who gave me my Job vision and hearing test had the best attitude ever. Hire 20 more like her and you would have the best staff ever.
Went to get a sports physical since it said on their sign that they would accept a walk in for this type of thing. Receptionist was very nice, but said that they weren’t accepting any more for the day even if though it was around 4 when I went and they close at 8. Physicals only take a couple minutes so very confused. Also there was only 3 people waiting in the waiting area, so it’s not like they had 4 hours worth of patients.
Just got back from taking my 1 year old. He spiked a 103.1 fever so we wanted to make sure his lungs were clear and ears looked good before urgent care closed and we didn’t have to spend time in the ER. He has been snotty and a cough since being sick 3 weeks ago. The doctor made us like idiots and even asked if it was our first kid…he happens to be our third but even so I’d rather be safe than sorry. He was more concerned about the Carolina vs Clemson game tomorrow than listening to any of our concerns. He brushed everything off with an everyone is sick this time of year. Never had issues at the cherrydale location but couldn’t get in there last minute so decided to try this location. I hope we never have to go back there again or we have a different doctor when we do! Receptionist and nurse were both nice and had a quick wait time so that’s worth the 1 star.
I went to Urgent Care for a Covid test. They worked me in a busy schedule the same day.Every single contact I made was friendly and accommodating, from receptionist to the lady who took me back to the room to Dr. Owens. And when they became aware that I had to be somewhere after my appointment, they expedited things and got me out early, of course without cutting any corners. They even waved to me as I left the office.
I made an appointment for the day before and had to cancel due to personal reasons. I went back the next day and they already had my info in the system. I had to ask a few questions and it felt like the wait time was shorter then they expected. The doctor and physicians assistant were great. They were very knowledgeable and helped me comfortable. The procedure was a bit painful but manageable. The doc and her assistant were professional and knocked out the procedure on my leg pretty quickly. Afterwards, the doc came back and discussed with me further steps. They even have helped me set up an appointment with a dermatologists. Very pleased with this location l.
I had to worst experience with This AFC. I came in with my sick daughter I was told it’s not a walk-in clinic and we would have to wait until 2:30. I asked the lady at front desk if she could look to see if any other AFC offices could see her she told me no, I would have to call and find out my self. I then proceeded to the cherrydlae location. The lady was nice but said they could not see my daughter until 4pm. She then offered to look in her system to find another one with less wait times. She found the greer location. She asked if I could be there at 11:45am. I left cherrydale and went straight to the Greer location. When I got there she said she could not see my daughter until 12:50. I told her I had an appointment. She said it didn’t matter and I would have to wait. I’m extremely upset with the level of service I received! I use AFC all the time but I will not go back there! They did not care or try to make anything right and my daughter still hasn’t been seen! This is outrageous!
Im only giving 2 stars because this place was light years better before becoming afc urgent care. My diagnosis was youre getting old. Im 44. This was always my go to office for many years, I actually loved the doctors there even more than my private doctor. I will not ever return. A two minute visit to just leave in tears because I felt so I insulted. Im going to have to apologize to my insurance company for being billed. I miss doctors who actually listen and care. Why did this place have to change?
Rude and unprofessional. Karen, who does the new hire drug screens is one of the most hateful and disrespectful health care workers I have ever dealt with. I had to fill out paperwork with urine on my hands because I couldn’t wash them after I gave my sample. I will be reporting them for unsanitary “protocols”, as she called it.
Dr. Maskell or however you spell it at the Wade Hampton office is AWFULLLL !!! He never physically assessed my child. She came in for sore throat, loss of taste & smell, and a rash in her head. He comes in does two strep tests, no COVID test, doesn’t even look at her hair before telling me “there is medicated shampoo at CVS you can buy, it doesn’t need to be prescribed”. Very rude old man.
Receptionist was very friendly. She explained all copay amounts to me prior to asking for payment. They got me back as quickly as they could. They were busy being that it is flu season. The waiting area was clean and comfortable.Nursing staff was compassionate and competent. Explained everything to me and listened to what I had to say.Being that what I had (the flu) was viral, I was not given antibiotics - as they would not help. I was given instructions on treatment of my symptoms and what to do if I got worse. The nurse Jan was awesome. Very caring and kind.
Everyone from the doctor to the nurses and receptionist was very professional, plus nice and very attentive to me and my wife and I appreciate that and and if we Had any questions they were answered so that we understood what they were talking about
The staff was pleasant and very fast. Our appointment was at 4:15, we were seen 5 min early and out the door in 10 min. The dr was kind and quick, the front desk, and other staff were fantastic.
Dr. Maskell and Hope were amazing! From the time they initially saw me until they he issue was resolved took less than 20 minutes! They were both extremely courteous and kind and the issue itself had the capacity to be extremely embarrassing, but they handled it without missing a beat. I was in a great deal of pain when I arrived and due to their quick management of my abscess, I left already on the road to recovery . I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
Very efficient, courteous and professional staff. I really appreciated the time and concern of the PA (I dont recall her name). She listened and answered my concerns and offered good recommendations.
Dr. Owens and staff were real accommodating, kind and helpful to me while I was in so much pain! Thank you for your concern!
Very great experience here ! The receptionist Stephanie was super nice and pleasant to talk to and the medical assistant Kate was just wonderful and funny. Dr. Maskell was super understanding and down to earth. I really like the staff here ! The office was very clean and they used great caution to protect people from spreading germs. I enjoyed my experience here !
When to AFC yesterday and I didn’t have to wait very long, the receptionist Karen was very nice and the Medical assistant Andrea very professional. I was seen y Dr Ta who was wonderful, he took time to listen to my medical history and my problem yesterday. He prescribed the right medication and explained how to take it. Very professional staff.
The best Emergency/Acute care experience! No waiting, no hassles, no regrets. Keisha, Dr. Owens and Katie are awesome! All three were professional and respectful, but most notable was the sense that they truly cared about my condition and needs. Love you guys, THANKS...
Very nice staff. Clean and well maintained building and rooms. Competent and efficient, yet not rushed. I was checked in and was on my way in a very timely manner and found out you can even pre-book online to shorten the wait time.
Very kind and professional staff--receptionist, x-ray tech, and provider.
I felt extremely uncomfortable with my experience here. The doctor didn’t even shut the door when talking to me. Did not ask me about my symptoms, only went off of what I said over the phone when I made the appointment, which was not much at all. Was told that even with the test results, they were not gonna offer me treatment. They also said they cannot offer me any additional information about the questions I had about my symptoms, because they were not “counselors.” They said they can only run tests and that’s it. I did not feel very welcomed when I first came in, nor did I feel comfortable at all. Extremely rushed, no one said hello before they start talking to me, very disturbing.
Dr. Maskell was awful. Terrible bedside manner, barely checked my 4 year old daughter and acted like he didn’t care about us and like I was some sad dramatic mom. So unhappy with our visit today. The front desk worker was great!
I was a patient COVID positive diagnosed at THIS FACILITY Sunday 12/18/2022. I came back as I was experiencing excruciating back pain and chest pain pain in general. LARISSA with an L (her words) decided to make an issue as I was not only unaware I had a copay but also that with me asking her to bill me because I was in desperate need of being seen. Her response well that will be 40 × 3 which equals 120. Like mam Im here because I CANT BREATHE!! She ensured that she also went back and explained to the doctors i declined to make my copay like that has anything to do with the care i should receive.NEVERTHELESS I ended up leaving and going to another AFC facility on Pehlam where they did explain I have a copay going forward. But they seen me gave me a chest xray and sent me to the ER. I had bronchitis on top of COVID and was given the proper medication to treat the infection. I am also a Bon secours employee at a specialty office where we deal with copay. She clearly needs some retraining. Hopefully Larissa with an L will learn empathy and proper explanation on copay and billing.
I have been here with my children many times. They are always wonderful. They have good bedside manner with children which is not always the case at regular urgent care clinics. I also have never had to wait more than 30 min to be seen.
This is the 2nd time I have gotten stitches from Dr. Owens and she is excellent! The nurse who gave me the tetanus shot was great too!
I was in and out in 30 minutes. Dr Mascal is great!
Out of all the other AFC urgent care centers in the Greenville/Easley area this is by far the best one to go to. They actually care about your situation and honor your appointment time. I strongly suggest you get an online appointment and they will serve you faster. Went in due to a terrible cold. got diagnosed with covid and was prescribed meds that helped me feel better the next day.
I was taken care in a timely manner! They are taking precautions to sanitize everything after each use! The receptionist Caesar was very prompt as well as the medical assistant Hope, who was very sweet as well. The doctor Maskell made sure that he got me the medicine I needed! Overall good experience!
Dr. Owens did an exceptional job helping a friend of mine who had unique health needs. Brittney, Katie, and Miranda were very kind and helpful in their care and concern for the patient. I highly recommend them!
Doc is GREAT at what HE chose to do. Front desk staff, one woman in particular, is HORRIBLE at her role in customer service. Whether she chose this career or it chose her, she needs to seriously consider doing something that doesnt put her as the face and HORRIBLE attitude patients first come in contact with. I was completely distraught and there because my three year old son got bit by a dog...in the face. She could not have been more rude, impatient and void of character and compassion. If you dont like people or if they bring out the worst in you, recognize and for yourself and those who dont want to need urgent care to begin with, please find a more suitable career
The staff, from the check-in process and throughout the entire service, was extremely professional and genuinely caring. The nurse practioner was very thorough and knowledgeable with the greatest of bedside manners. I highly recommend the Wade Hampton location.
Went this morning. Everyone was very friendly and service was quick. Very clean facility. I think I spent about an hour there with wait times and everything. The only thing that bothered me was I felt the nurse and the dr didn’t want to be in the room with me. They were polite when they were with me, but it was like I was a leper or something. I have the flu but good grief I know I’m not the only person to come in with the flu lately... They both rushed in and out. The nurse seemed to stay as far away from me as possible while taking vitals. The doctor seemed to be in such a hurry I could barley understand her orders because she was speaking so fast. I had some questions but she left so quickly I didn’t have time to ask. I was there first thing in the morning and it wasn’t crowded. I could understand that if they had a lot of patients to see, but I was the last of the three that were in the waiting room. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but it did leave me feeling very self conscious and uncomfortable. It was very awkward.
The doctor was in there for at the most 2 minutes for two different people. I had to ask what my daughters covid test was. I asked for her to be tested for the flu and wasnt done. I wasnt even able to ask if my daughter could by chance get some zofran because she was so nauseated and been throwing up but I couldnt because the doctor wouldnt let me talk. Worse place to go ever.
Before Bon Secours bought them they were great. Last time I came for just a TB shot for teaching and waiting almost an hour. It literally took less than 30 seconds to do.This time I’m sick, so it has been over an hour and now they are turning people away because water issues. I overheard them saying that they have only seen 4 patients today and it is 11:30am. The front desk girl is not super friendly either. They only have one doctor.I asked her about why is takes so long now. She said “all our rooms are full”. “The doctors also have to use the electronic system now which they weren’t used to”.I won’t be coming back. I would leave right now if I had not already been here for over an hour waiting.
Amazing staff that really addresses the challenge - I had used teledoc earlier in the week and got brushed off and given only a note to not work - the staff at AFC listened and did everything they could do that I could do my work trip and then go and be with my daughter who is having a baby in a week. Down to giving me pills for cough so that it would be easy to travel with them instead of liquid. If I could give them a 100 - I would!
The only reason Im giving them two stars is because the receptionist was super nice. However, the lady in the back and the doctor, Dr.Maskell, both need to work on their bedside manner. I came in with abscessing teeth, which Im sure you all know, is very painful.Im 40 years old and I know what works for me. I wont go into all of the details but I will say this experience today was awful for me and I wont be back, that is for sure. You just dont treat people disrespectfully like that. If youre in the medical field at any level, you need to show compassion and some sort of empathy. They both were severely lacking in that and I feel sorry for anybody who has to go in there with any sort of real pain. Im honestly disgusted.
Donna the x ray tech was very awesome. Made me feel comfortable and helped me with my severe ankle sprain. This is a great urgent care location
They saw me for a piece of metal I got in my eye charged me 130$ and made me wait for an hour and a half for the dr to come in just to say yes you do have metal in your eye but I can’t take it out. I told them the reason I was there in the first place and they didn’t Inform me they didn’t do that there. Realistically they took advantage of a blue collar worker with a family of 7 in a very tough economic climate. I def do not recommend them to anyone else or at least make triple sure they’ll help you bc they will let you pay regardless. I didn’t try and get my money back bc I already knew they would say that’s there feee to see me. Live and learn.
I wish they would have seen me on the time of appointment and I wish they had more pleasant nurses. I felt like the two people that i spoke to where in a bad mood, had attitudes and didnt really want to be there. The doctor was great.
Super fast and ruby was very nice and helpful!
I am sad to say I had a horrible experience, having a Covid test due to a familys test being positive. Nevertheless, the doctor (male) stood at the door and practically threw the negative test sheet at me. He did not even ask if I had questions, which I did. I am sure my insurance was billed for an office visit but the doctor didnt even take time to check my breathing, or vitals. I am guessing it depends on what day you go. My husband had a wonderful experience with the doctor (female).
My appointment was at 9:12, text instructions and on website said to stay in car until you receive a fall for triage. Call never came. Sat until 940 and finally had to call and they told me to come in and was seen right away. Absolutely ridiculous I was literally waiting for no reason and the front desk attendant did not apologize. She was sitting chatting with 4 coworkers when I walked in. 2 cars in parking lot. UNACCEPTABLE. Train your employees on policies and update them on the site and in text messages if they are out dated.
Bad experience. I showed up with warning with a broken arm. They didn’t ask a thing about how I was or offer any kind of comfort (eg ice). Despite one car outside it was a long wait, which I had to do outside because of COVID, but with nobody in the lobby. The doctor was good. They gave me a CD with my X-rays which I needed for an appointment the next day. It turns out the CD was blank. I called and because no radiology tech is working today I can’t even get my images. What was the point of going to this place?
My wife and I took our child to this office because the childs normal pediatrician/urgent care was closed and we had no other choice. The staff at the reception desk was respectful and professional. We brought in our child for a possible ear infection, and since there wasnt any waiting we were seen immediately. The doctor on duty was Dr. Maskell, he just opened the door without knocking first, did not greet us or introduced himself, he just opened the door and asked whats going on here, the child has a fever? he asked a few minor questions and very briefly looked into the childs ears and mouth and said ill be right back. He walked back in after 2 minutes or so and said give this form to any pharmacy. There wasnt any detailed feedback or what he suspected the illness to be. We felt rushed and unwelcome. My wife and I looked and each other and laughed because we both noticed how odd the interacting with Dr. Maskell was. We didnt say anything but thank you and left and immediately posted a review. Some people might receive a more welcoming side or interaction with this office but we surely did not.
I kept putting off a pain issue and finally decided to go in on a Saturday morning because of the pain waking me up the night before. The staff at AFC Urgent Care Wade Hampton couldnt have been nicer or more accommodating. I didnt have to wait very long and when taken back, I was seen promptly. I particularly liked the Dr --Dr. Owens, She was very attentive and kind. I would definitely go back for care.
Went in for a DOT physical. After having bad experiences with other places I think I’ve finally found a place that does an amazing job getting me in, getting me out and is thorough. Ashley, Jennifer, and Dr.Ta made my trip for my dot not as stressful and I’m looking forward to coming back next year
I saw Dr. Maskell for an inner ear problem that was causing tinnitus and extreme vertigo. He was extremely accurate with his assessment, was able to provide me with medications to hopefully help, and referred me to an ENT specialist. He was also a really nice person. Everything youd want in a doctor. After my primary care physician refused to see me because I mentioned that I vomited (COVID sign?) , I was a bit apprehensive in going to an Urgent Care Center. However, Dr. Maskell, and his staff, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and well cared for. Highly recommend the staff and services at this location!
EXCELLENT CARE! Dr Maskell listened, diagnosed the problem, and provided a treatment plan. Hope took vitals, and did the labs. She was courtesy, explained everything, and treated us like one of the family. The entire process from walking in the door, to going home was very well organized, and very fast. Stephanie checked us in, verified our insurance, and was very nice, and knowledgable. I feel I received STELLAR service from the entire team at AFC Urgent Care. Kudos to Dr. Maskell, Hope, and Stephanie for outstanding customer service, and patient care. I would highly recommend to friends and family.
The staff was amazing, the test fast. My son was Covid exposed at school. A few days later he threw up and slept at school. My son is specal needs and has a limited vocabulary. Since theses are both signs of Covid and sights of migraines witch my son have. The scoop and is felt better getting a Covid test. The staff up front and medical staff were amazing very patient. We got the test witted for the results. When the doctor came in is when it went wrong. The doctor barked “ is there a Hamilton I here” I said yes and he threw the paper at me, and said it’s negative. The left no is there any thing else, no have a good day no nothing. I walked out of the room and he was sitting at the desk. Looking around, I am not saying he needed to have a big sit down but this was uncalled for.
First of all, the girl at the front desk is super rude and has zero customer service. She would be better off cleaning the bathrooms. Now I went there because I started having a big headache and fever the day before which was 12/6/18. I woke up the next day and vomit, now everyone knows that having a headache, fever, and vomiting together is not good. I went there and since I was a new patient I filled the papar work needed. Now here is the funny part. They asked me to pay my insurance co-pay then...before I was even seen. They said it was $50, now I knew that was wrong. My co-pay for general doctor, which is what they are is $25. $50 is for specialist. So went ahead and paid it because I was in pain and just wanted to be seen. I am called in and the nurse was super nice. The nicest person I had encountered from the staff since I got there. Doctor comes in, askes me more of the same questions the nurse asked and says she needs some test from my nose to check for flue..that is done & leaves. Doctor comes back and says the test were negative for flue and that is most likely some type of flue but we had had to let it run its course. She sends me home with NO MEDICATION. I said to my self at this point, no wonder they ask for the co-pay upfront, if I knew that she was not going to give me any medication I would have not paid the co-pay. So Im at home with fever at 102.3 and vomiting, I could not even drink water because it would come right back. I went to sleep and woke up around 2am. I had some water hoping I would not vomit it because i was really thirsty. Well around 3am it happened, all the water I had drank came right back up. So I decided to go to the hospital, you know..where REAL DOCTORS are at. I would not recommend this place to anyone my rating for this place would be a 0 of 10.
In and out pretty quickly. Everyone was nice and helpful. The doctor was personable and funny. Great experience!
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Front receptionist was very nice and even made me a copy of my insurance card from my phone.
It was a smooth and fast service. Got my ex rays and results real quick and the staff were very kind.
Front desk staff extremely nice. The physicians are thorough, kind and engaged in diagnosis and treatment. Although there are several AFC Urgent Care Centers in the area, this one, is hands down my favorite!
The manager, I think her name was Alisia was so kind to my dad and very accommodating throughout the visit. He was really ill and she did everything to help comfort him until the Dr was available. Top notch service. I would recommend any day. Thanks to all the staff!
My third attempt at using this urgent care outlet based on referral from my primary care Dr., when they can’t work me in. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. This location is more concerned with Covid protection than any problems you may be having, and there is NO SUCH THING AS WALKING IN FOR CARE. I have had to make an appointment every time, and then return for that appointment only to sit in my car for an hour or more before being seen. In EVERY visit I have had here, I get little or no help from the Doctor. Just sent away with an answer of “not sure exactly what is wrong, but here is a prescription.” You can get that with a tele visit, so don’t waste your time here. Tried them three times, three strikes, so never again. What ever happened to Urgent Care?
This place is absolutely horrible !! I went here twice for spitting up blood and they gave me allergy medicine to treat it !! They did not run any test to make sure and when I asked if they could do a throat swab the doctor looked at me like I was stupid and to add on to that i let them know I’m prego and they were very judgmental! If your not gonna take the time to actually find out what’s wrong with your patient then don’t come to work !! I have a baby inside me and me spitting up blood wasn’t concerning enough for them to run a test ? That’s ridiculous! Save your time and energy cause all they wanna do is rush you out the door
I visited this clinic 2 consecutive Saturdays, the first to be diagnosed with COVID and the next to receive follow up care and reassurance. On both occasions, I was seen promptly and received thorough, compassionate care. I will not go anywhere else for an acute illness.
The little blond receptionist needs to be fired. I went by on June 18 2018. To get one of the Doctors to sign some documents.i arrived shortly before 3pm. They were unusual busy so I figured I would have to wait awhile. So I go up to the receptionist and explain why Im there, she takes the sealed envelope from me and tells me to have a seat and she heads into the back with the envelope Im assuming to give it to the doctor. The receptionist returned to the front without telling me anything. Like I said I figured I would have to wait a while because of them being so busy. So sit patiently. At 5pm the receptionist leaves still without advising me of anything. Another lady comes in and takes over for here. So about an hour goes by and the new receptionist notices me and as me if I was waiting on someone.i explained to her that I had been waiting since 3pm on the doctor to sign some documents for me. She ask my name, and proceed to the back to see what the status was. About 5 minutes goes by and she returns with the documents. And advises me that the doctor that needed to sign wasnt even working that day and that she had found the sealed envelope just lying on the counter in the back.I know in my job if I made a customer wait 3hrs because I didnt know what to do the I would be unemployed.
My almost 3yo son fell and busted open his lip. Took him to AFC as the doctors there (usually Maskell or Alexander) have sewn up all 3 of my other kids at some point in their lives and done a great job. They took him back after accepting our copay, but unfortunately, due to his age and the location of the cut (right through his top lip), they recommended we go to the ER. They refunded our money, which was unexpected, since they did try to help us, but we were grateful. We know the ER will be much more costly. We appreciated their honesty about wanting what was best for our son though.
I came in on the weekend with a severe toothache. There were no dentist offices open on a Saturday that could make room to squeeze me in. Somehow I had chipped it and exposed the nerve. The doctor was very professional and had a very comforting disposition.Id recommend AFC Urgent Care to anyone who needs help with a medical situation where a regular doctor isnt available.
Doctor Maskell was completely unprofessional. Did not introduce himself and left the door wide open for the entirety of the visit, (which was all of 5 minutes). Also worth mentioning, I was there for a full body rash issue.Did not give me the time of day/ did not address all of the concerns I had. Better off going to the ER. Nurse did a far more thorough job of asking me what was going on.Not sure what else this Doctor had going on today but it must have been pretty important for him to blow me off like that.0/10 would not recommend.
The staff has cared for my family forever! They are knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and kind. Ask for Lindsey, she is the receptionist and goes above and beyond. Glad to know theyre courteous, close and convenient!
I am new to the area and had a small issue that needed attention. Katie was so kind and helpful in determining they could provide the service that I needed. I waited less than 5 minutes. Dr Maskell helped address my problem. We chatted for few minutes and he was just very sweet and addressed my concerns thoroughly. I highly recommend the facility!!!
Fell off my bike on Paros mountain, and was brought to this facility. The staff was immediate in my care. They took me in right away and treated me like a member of their family. Great compassion and care for patients is so greatly appreciated during this time of Covid and they, from front staff to X-ray, to the doctor- they gave it! Thank you so much. 👍👍
You can tell that the office manager here isnt a doctor. She is very very rude, no compassion for the patient at all, and cares more about money than a patients health/well being.Had an issue with insurance, that is currently being resolved, and she refused to let me be seen. Never mind I had my military id, or that all i had to do was get documentation from the VA showing i am covered and they are trying to correct the issue. Nope, she wanted 500 or more to be seen, despite her knowing i am having consistent bleeding. Youd be better off going to the er, or ANY other urgent care than this
Came on a morning where they were booked for the day and they still fit me into their schedule for later. Katie and Jan were super helpful and also made the experience way less uncomfortable for me, was honestly an enjoyable day at the doctors and they were quick to help me and find out what I needed. Definitely recommend coming to this location 10/10
In keeping with all my visits to this location, I was pleased with the help I received yesterday, June 13, 2019. I had fallen the day before. The Doctor, the Ex-Ray technician, the nurses, and the administrative staff were all so kind and attentive. I always get superior care at this location. Thank you AFC- Wade Hampton -Greenville Debora F.
My Dr was real nice but that medical assistant was rude. She better be glad I was sick because she would of got the business. If u dont like your job plz work someone else. Cause next time she goin to get it ...
Dr. Owens and her staff are the BEST! Whenever I need Urgent Care I go out of town to visit this location. It is worth the drive to be surrounded by such friendly and efficient healthcare professionals. I love this place!!
Being more professional and not giving me someone elses medical information. Also, offering another test to confirm my results due to receiving someone elses. Even while advising my experience to receptionist they had an I dont care attitude. Services were rushed because they were ready to go home.
The receptionist was very nice and friendly and so was my nurse. However, the male doctor was unproffessional and made me feel uncomfortable. He didnt introduce himself so I dont know what his name was. I am 21 and he treated me like a small child, using baby talk. He also doesnt wash his hands.
Everyone here is friendly, knowledgable and professional. I was bit by a dog and was pretty afraid and in pain. The Nurse and Doctor that cared for me, put me at ease. The Doctor is a Pink Panther movie fan and actually remembers alot of the funny things that the Detective said in the movies! Sure made me feel better! Thank you all for your care you gave me.
Set up an appointment online at the 1494 West Wade Hampton office @ 1:30PM. Didn’t get seen until after 2PM. The x-ray tech was on vacation so we got sent to the 2310 Wade Hampton office with a note to have lungs x-ray. Never unprofessional office and x-ray. We’re sitting in the waiting area and hear the tech asking about the other office x-ray tech and my girlfriend’s x-ray. After sitting there for close to an hour and seeing people that came in after us get called into the back I ask the x-ray tech when was she going to be seen? She replied when she got done, we’re waiting on her. She had just gave another man in the waiting area a check, and started filing paperwork in the front desk. The went into the back and was talking to another employee about chipotle!!! Called for my girlfriend about 10-15 after that. She don’t need to be working there, or be trained so she know that her job is doing x-rays, dealing with patients and other things pertaining to the job, not chipotle. We sat in the waiting area over an hour before being seen. Now we know why there wasn’t many cars outside with people inside waiting to be seen.
Short time wait to see Dr. Dr was professional and easy to talk with. Tell the Doctor to call me when hes ready to play a round or two. Enjoyed the visit.
My family and I have been here multiple times for general sicknesses and on weekends. I am very happy to have this office and staff so close to home. Dr. Tom Maskell is wonderful and has always taken good care of us. Thank you!
Took my 2 year old son there 5/18/23 to be seen for pink eye in both eyes and he is on the spectrum for autism Kellie Thompson refuses to see him because he WASN’T cooperating. She literally walked out , I don’t know if it’s because of his race or disability but this shouldn’t be acceptable.
Saturday morning...during a pandemic & they still act like you’re the most important one in the room. Love that they do X-ray and injury so you don’t (hopefully) have to go to an ER. Jan, Ashley, Kellie, and Katie were all wonderful, kind, and efficient. Will continue to use this provider.
The girl at the front desk is one if not the ruddest I have ever encountered. We have used St Frances for years but will never go back to there doc in the box. The office mgr was equally unqualified. I told her we probably needed to go to the back and in a rude tone she said Excuse Me!!!!. I again told her she probably wants to go to the back so others would not hear and the stupid person said we can talk here. So in front of all the other people in the waiting room I explained what happened. I didnt do a good job of explaining because I was so upset but I dont think itwit would have made a difference period. The gentleman Itookthere is 90 years old and he has used them before and said he will never go back. Service would have been just as quickly at the emergency room.
We were treated with professionalism and kindness. We were seen quickly and with concern. That meant alot to us. When you are sick you dont feel like sitting around all day and we were seen quickly.Thank you
The receptionist politely told me I couldn’t be seen due to a $95 balance of my daughters however I was not mailed anything or nor did I receive a phone call I asked could I speak with an office manager to see how to rectify the situation and she stated they don’t work weekends and don’t have contact for them just her personal cellphone of which she could not give out. Her name is Ashley hopefully I won’t have to come back weekends. Nothing worse than nice nasty rudeness when you have sick children
Not a Real doctor. Went there twice over the past 8 months first time for a light pain and the second time for the same pain but now half of my entire body. He literally gave me the same information the second time. Just ice it. Didnt touch the spot or any test. Now Im sitting in the E.R with loss of motor control on entire left side of my body.
My son saw Dr. Thomas Maskell on 10/14/19. He is 19 years old and was injured on the job (10/3/19) and came in as a follow-up visit. He had a laceration on his hand which required stitches. We waited over an hour to be seen and when Dr. Maskell walked in he was in the room for no more than one minute! My son is having pain and numbness after the accident; he tried explaining this to Dr. Maskell but his concerns were completely dismissed. He barely looked at his hand, asked him to move the fingers and simply said You will be fine, soak it in warm water and Epsom salt and come back in 2-4 weeks. We had seen our family physician (who removed the stitches on 10/11) and he recommended my son see a hand specialist to rule out any issues. Dr. Maskell did not care about our concerns and simply said Well, thats his opinion! Looking at his bio, it states he is an expert in handling conditions, he certainly does not act like an expert. He acts like an incompetent physician who does not care about his patients at all. Perhaps he had this attitude because my sons visit was related to Workers Comp; however, that should not matter at all. He has no bedside manner and acts like he is arrogant. I would NOT recommend Dr. Maskell to my family or friends. Just because he has been practicing for 35+ years does not mean he is an expert!
Great and friendly people, in and out fast! They immediately emailed my prescription straight to the pharmacy and got it within the hour. Receptionist is fast, friendly, and amazing; great woman she is! Highly recommended!
If you need care and want to go to a clean and knowledgeable crew, this is the place. Miranda F. Is wonderful and very nice and will get you seen quick. Walked in and went straight back. This office is awesome and the doctor was great.. THANK YOU AFC WADE HAMPTON AND MIRANDA F. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!😁
I just came to get a COVID test and I was happy to find out that they don’t shove the Q-tip all the way up like they do at many other places. The staff was very nice and let me sit in my car until they were ready to see me which only took about 10 minutes. Very pleased with my experience.
Went in yesterday to have a cyst removed. Dr. Rosenblum and nurse did a great job. I’m very grateful and would definitely go there again if needed. Thanks Urgent Care!
My daughter is away at college and this was the urgent care we were able to use. They were so kind and helpful! So thankful for good kind people on this day we live in! They truly went above and beyond!! Thank you!
Thought the facility was exceptionally clean...and liked the doctor and nurse that helped me very much. Very kind medical professionals!!! Very rare, sadly, in todays world. Thank you!
The doctor was professional and caring. Everyone at this office was thoughtful & courteous.
I visited this location in April of this year with symptoms consistent with a cold or sore throat. I mentioned also having issues hearing out of my left ear, which turned out to be impacted. After attempting to flush my ear and clean it out, I left with it feeling worse and actually could hear less than before. I figured it would get better with time and the use of the prescribed ear drops, but after a couple weeks, I decided to visit another location (Cherrydale), where they noticed my ear was still impacted. They quickly worked to address the issue. The result clearly indicated that the Wade Hampton location did not successfully complete the job despite significant pain within my ear and charging $121. I will not return to this location and will not recommend it to a friend.
My experience here was very good the young African american lady at the front desk was great. The doctor that I saw was also great they have a good team...
Im sorry, they most definitely didnt have the best manners, the doctor didnt give me any information about my issue, like literally didnt speak about it. While being short with me for asking! And was just over all a..... hand me your money and leave environment. Waste of time and money.
Dr was in the room with me for two minutes tops. Prescribed meds without telling me what I can expect them to do and what they are. Didn’t ask me if I had any more questions. Was in and out of the room before I even had time to process that I didn’t get to say everything I needed to say. I’m sick, my brain is foggy, give me a minute to collect myself, take more than 2 minutes to talk to me, examine me, determine why I’m there and what help I need.
Thanks again staff for my CDL recert physical.
New in town, went to AFC Urgent care, seen Dr Maskill in just a few minutes. They referred me to a specialist and put me in contact with a primary care physician. Steven G.

I got back very quickly, which I was grateful for, and Dr. Thomas was very relaxed and amiable and kind, which I appreciate immensely.
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Dr McCaskill is like going to see a friend who happens to be a doctor. Highly recommend.
