Everything was going well till I became a sceptic of the procedures. I was told I had 7 fertilized eggs (Embryos) which needed no assistance. I was so excited when received the email and the phone call. The doctor asked me many embryos you have? Which I first found it to be weird as he asked, Im thinking 🤔 you should know? I said, seven then he said. are you sure. I replied yes, because the nurse called me and said so and I have the email. So I showed up for the implementation I was told I only have four embryos. From there is when I started having questions. My confidence was broken and didnt want to startled anything because I didnt have anywhere to put my embryos at the time, and I wanted my them to remain safe.contacted another doctor for a second opinion.
I researched quite a few times when it came to who was going to help my husband and I achieve having a little one. I found Dr. Shaykh office, made an appointment, arrived and let’s just say from there I was greeted with kindness, met Dr. Shaykh and he was nothing but kind and helpful! Laid it all out and told me my options, i chose one and he was all for it ☺️ we scheduled my surgery and he that part he was so nice and encouraging, ready to make it happen! My surgery day came and oh my gosh, everyone in that facility was absolutely amazing. It made me feel so much better, the smiles, the laughs!! Dr. Shaykh came in all bubbly and happy, came to see me before my surgery and again, was so kind! Once my surgery was done, the nurse was kind and helped me until they got my husband. From the time I woke up to the time I left was probably 20 min. I had to use the bathroom before I left and I went pretty fast 😄 the whole experience was amazing and I fully trust Dr. Shaykh and his whole office, Rose, Brenda, Stephanie, all of them are so sweet and helpful! No matter if I feel like I’m bothering them, they never hesitate! I will be going back for an HSG soon just for my own comfort and continuing this journey and I just know they’ll be welcoming! Thank you all so much!!
I found this office online after some research. I am pleased with my outcome and although I did have a little extra pain it was definitely worth it for me. I did call after my surgery and Dr. Shaykh was out of town but they got in touch with him and got back to me ASAP. Everyone at the office was very professional, helpful and kind. I have seen a few reviews about them being rude but every single encounter I had on the phone and in person was very pleasant. They all went above and beyond. I even called many times before making my final decision and each time I was met with kindness. I will definitely recommend them if you want a professional honest team. Thank you to all the staff at Assisted Fertility and a special THANK You to Dr. Shaykh!!!! I will be keeping you up to date with my progress!Update:I got pregnant in Nov of 2023 and Im due to have my baby next month in Aug 2024!
If I could do 0 stars I would. My Fiancé is a little person and these people sent us through a million loop holes because she’s a little person. She has no Medical problems but they still made things way too complicated and wasted too much of our time. I would NOT recommend these horrible people to anyone
This place discriminates. 1st they were gonna schedule me no problem. But than they found out that I’m 4’2 so they decided to send my Fiance and I through a million little loop holes for NOTHING. I am SHORT so these people were going to try and make me schedule & pay for a consultation just so that they could do testing because I’m SHORT. So again, if you are short, DO NOT GO HERE. They discriminate and waste the hell out of your time.
I just want to say I wish I could give this office 1000 stars across the board. Dr Shaykh and his entire team are wonderful in every way! I just got my reversal done yesterday both tubes were successfully opened and now I’m recovering at home. The surgery center was great from start to finish I knew I was in great hands thank you all so much it was greatly appreciated. I will give updates again once I get pregnant my husband and I are excited for our new journey again we thank you Dr Shaykh and staff.I just want to give an update! It’s now 2023 I had my first TR baby on 12/2/21 and we are currently expecting our second TR baby on 8/28/23 so needless to say the surgery was a definite success and we are so grateful to Dr Shaykh once again for helping achieve our goal of adding 2 more blessings to our family after having my tubes tied for over 9 years!
I had my Tubal Reversal surgery with Dr. Shaykh in June 16 2022 and I have to say that if I had to choose a doctor again for this procedure I would choose him and his team. Very nice all my family and I are very grateful for the attention and professionalism. The entire team are very professional from Mrs. Brenda, the doctor and everyone at the Touchton clinic. The doctor gave me back Hope. Ive only been recovering for 5 days and I feel 100%. Thank you once again for everything, I hope to be able to talk to you soon and give you the good news of my sweet wait. If you want to be a mom again, Dr. Shayk and his team is your solution 100% RECOMMENDED
Thanks to Dr. Shaykh and team we welcomed a beautiful baby girl two weeks ago. We are eternally grateful, she is perfect!Dr. Shaykh is straight forward, compassionate, and thorough. His staff is equally as professional. I never felt like a number or a statistic, I never felt in the dark or that I didn’t understand something and most importantly my level of care/treatment was above what we expected. If you’re on the fence, just stop and make the appointment. You won’t regret it.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Shaykh and his team! They go above and beyond and are some of the kindest and most caring people I have ever met in my life. They truly care about your well being and will be some of your biggest and best cheerleaders. Stephanie is phenomenal and will advocate for you at every step. Dr. Shaykh is caring, has a great bedside manner, and truly is a magician at what he does. I am happy to say that I currently am having a successful pregnancy and I literally couldnt have done it without them (for more reasons than 1)! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing a little help in the fertility arena. Thank you guys!
Dr. Shaykh was very thorough at my visit, I did not feel rushed AT ALL. The front desk staff was extremely courteous. What I enjoyed the most was his extremely detailed care plan for me. When I had questions he did not hesitate to explain in detail & if I didn’t understand something he easily explained to me again with kindness. Overall I was very impressed.
Im so thrilled with my experience going with Dr. Shaykh for a tubal reversal. After thinking my chances of conceiving were slim to none my husband and I went for a consult on a reversal. Dr Shaykh and his staff were very friendly. Dr Shaykh was straight for ward and honest . After thorough exams of my husband and myself along with operative reports from my original surgery, I was assured a reversal was likely to be successful for us. I had my tubal reversal on April 5th this year and tested positive for pregnancy June 9th!! I am 38 and had my tubes tied for 14 years ago. I cant thank Dr Shaykh and his beautiful staff enough for all the help with a successful outcome.Sincerely,10 weeks pregnant and counting!
I had a tubel reversal on 01/17/2022 this was the best dr and staff they are so amazing they make sure you understand everything and care about you.. and make sure you are taking care of. I can not wait for my success. To carry a baby for my husband and start or little family..I recommend Dr Shaykh 10 out of 10 he is wonderful. Thank you for making my dream come true and truly caring about me..
Dr. Shaykh is the most honest Doctor in his field. He has a great personality and his staff are awesome. My wife and I been seeing Dr. Shaykh for over 3 years and he has helped us and treat us like we were family. He is not about the money and he has work with us even when we cant make payments. Now we have a baby girl and its all because of Dr. Shaykh willing to work around our finances and giving us options and hopes to make it happen. May God continue to bless you and your family Dr. Shaykh, and thank you for this gift... :) :)
There are no words to describe Sr. Shaykh and his staff. We couldn’t ask for better people to have been on our IVF journey. We started our journey in 2021 we were supposed to have a tubal but after more in detailed review Dr. Shaykh said the odds would probably not be in our favor. So we decided to trust him and take his advice on IVF. We transferred our first embaby in March of 2021 but sadly it was not our time, our transferred failed. Stephanie encouraged us to take time and regroup and call her when we were ready. We took the rest of 2021 to mentally prep for another round of IVF and in January 2022 started the process again. We transferred our next embaby and in February found out our transfer was successful and we were having a baby. We recently just delivered our sweet baby and it’s all that’s to Dr. Shaykh and his staff. Without their expertise, care and compassion we would not have our sweet baby girl today.
Dr. Shaykh along with his staff, are the epitome of professional, while still maintaining a super friendly and caring environment. When you walk in, everyone knows youre name. Everyone is smiling and they always seem really excited to see you. Thats never happened before. Dr. Shaykh is a bit of a comedian too. I dont think he means to be but Ive had several visit where he definitely had me laughing out loud. Even though our time with him was short, we will count it as the most rewarding and memorable experience. We would, without hesitation recommend this Practice 100%.Thank you Dr. Shaykh, Kim, Heather and Marcela for always making us feel like the most important people in the world.
September 18 2006 I had a tubal ligation done... I searched for years for a doctor with a good team I can trust ,Me & My husband agreed on Dr Shaykh after we met with him to discuss everything... I am very proud to say We liked him alot,he was straight to the point & after he reviewed my file.Mrs Brenda gave me a call to tell me YES! the doctor said you can get a reversal done... I was excited & nervous to say the least..lol . We proceeded to make payments & installments for 6 weeks... We paid in full & the Amazing Mrs Brenda gave me a call to schedule my pre opp, surgery date & post opp ... September 9th @ 8:45am myself & my husband arrived to the Jacksonville surgery center... They are truly an amazing team of doctors, nurses ect. They were very attentive to me & that helped me relax alot considering my anxiety was through the roof..lol My surgery was 3hr & 30mins long...being a nurse myself I am always watching how fellow nurses treat others without knowing I myself is also a nurse & I was very pleased..with this teams level of professionalism.. I must say that if you are considering this reversal surgery please please have someone that loves you by your side because you are going to experience excruciating pain for 3-5 days right after surgery...on my way home I was highly upset because I felt every turn my husband made & every pothole he hit had me in tears....I couldnt even cry without hurting.. Its not a joke...I wish someone had told me to be prepared mentally & physically because its going to make you question alot...I couldnt walk & I reframed from using my stomach muscles as much as possible to eliminate feeling more pain... Please take a stool softener at least 48hrs prior to surgery so you will not be in pain & constipated afterwards. I am thankful for my nursing knowledge because I knew that would have been a issue..my husband had to help me get on & off the toilet...I was ready to scream every time...he did my shots for me in my stomach..(bloodthinners) today is September 19 & I am moving about normal again with occasionally pain here & there but I dont need help with nothing any more..Dr Shaykh told me that we can resume sexual activity again in two weeks..lol uuuuuggghhh my husband works on a ship so it will be at least 12weeks before We can resume However thats perfect because I can focus on healing properly internally first.. & learning my Ovalating cycle all over.. The experience was amazing & I recommend doctors Shaykhs & his team. We will start trying in February & I will keep you posted. I started taking prenatal vitamins & assistant pregnancy vitamins.THANK YOU Dr Shaykhs You & your team were amazing.UPDATE: Today is September 2, 2023 We are currently pregnant... I could not believe it! I cried.... Well I will keep you guys posted! Its been 17yrs since I had my last child this is a dream come true! I was about to pay to get the hsg test done until I listened to my husband. 🥰😘 I cannot BELIEVE IT!!!! We are truly excited.
I got the tubal reversal surgery last year August 27th 2020 by Dr Shykah! He was amazing! His team was also great! Now 8 months later I’m successfully pregnant due in December 2021! I’m so over joyed and thankful to be able to be a new parent again with my husband! Thank you Dr Shykah and staff!!!
Dr shaykh gave me peace of mind and restored my hope! It was just a consultation and he went out of his way to do an ultrasound exam to look around in there for me 🤗... he didn’t talk bad about the fertility clinic i previously went to or try to say you should’ve came to me 1st he just listened to me, asked me why i haven’t tried again, then gave me his recommendation. I wish i would have gone to him 1st! He truly cares about his patients and their concerns
Dr. Shaykh was very nice and kind upon meeting him and I felt like he was very knowledgeable. However I had a HORRIBLE experience with his surgery scheduler Brenda which ultimately led to me canceling my surgery and going to another office. Brenda LIED to me about results over the phone so that I would go ahead and schedule a surgery I didnt actually need. All I was trying to ask is if I could get my TSH level drawn first before doing invasive surgery and see if it was high. Brenda told me over the phone that I needed to get my TSH drawn with my primary care doctor and that Dr. Shaykh didnt want to draw it. I tried to ask why it wouldnt be best to do simple blood work before surgery. She said that I would get pre surgery blood work, and tried to tell me that this was all I needed even though that blood work is to make sure you can have surgery and has nothing to do with a TSH. When I tried to push the subject she told me on the phone that I needed the surgery because I had uterine polyps, which was not true and was nowhere on my record. Unconscionable.
Dr Shaykh helped my husband and I conceive our twins and we are eternally grateful. I had an adventure of a pregnancy and the office staff were always helpful with helping me even after I began my prenatal care and appointments at my home hospital. Thanks AFP!
Im currently snuggling my rainbow baby thanks to Dr. Shaykh and his staff. I have nothing but great things to say about this office. When you become a patient thats when you become like family and everyone knows you by name without having to look at your chart. Dr. Shaykh is wonderful and he doesnt make false promises. If theres an issue preventing you from your goal, he will tell you at the beginning of your treatment and find a solution for you to reach your goal. It may not be what you want to hear but thats what makes him a good doctor. I happily recommend his office to anyone.
I am one that suffers from Pcos and Dr. Shayak was not friendly. He was rude and the nurse asking questions was rude. Like how do I know I have pcos because they told me and they showed me in my hometown. Now according to him I dont have it but still willing to prescribe me medication for something I dont have. I have never felt so violated by a DR in my Life and I will never go back there. As a women of my race this was unacceptable and unethical. My questions were not even considered
I love Dr. Shaykh. After having a tubal ligation done. Six months later we were going to be brand new parents. A couple days later the right side tube ruptured and was remove the left side is completely blocked. After my research Dr. Shaykh price, his performance and his wonderful staff. I give birth to a 8lbs baby boy
Id like to think I did meticulous research on this physicians ratings, fertility treatments, and approach to patient-care across multiple platforms.I was incredibly misguided by this doctor.I believed I had picked the best person that was going to be open, forthcoming, informative, and would include me in my own fertility journey. Instead, I met someone who was egotistical and unwilling to collaborate with patients when helping them understand the treatment they were providing. During my IUI , I never received a consent form that explained the procedure or a document that verified the vial that was to be used. When asked for information on the quality of the thawed specimen, I was told, the sperm was moving so it was “Good” despite semen analysis usually done afterwards. In my experience, he did not accepted general questions about standard of care and used a repeatedly aggressive raised tone towards me, in addition to using offensive language, as well. I was highly uncomfortable and felt threatened at a certain point during my treatment. Id highly recommend youd go somewhere else for your fertility needs.
Honestly, the way my sister and brother-in-law were treated calls into question the integrity of the medical licensers in the state. After months of medications and hundreds of miles of round-trip transport preparing herself for treatment, Dr. Shaykh negligently failed to prepare the embryos properly so that they were not able to be implanted. Despite admitting this, he made next to no effort to redress his negligence. We will be pursuing legal action and I will be publicly posting the entire lawsuit and judgment once arrived. Everyone should know that he does not fix his mistakes.
Where do I start.. The entire staff at Assisted Fertility are miracle makers. Each job function helps in assisting with this blessing each patient receives. I visited Dr. Shaykh initially in 2016. When I say how knowledgeable he is , it’s amazing! He looked at some scans I provided from my OB and in 2 mins told me what the issue was even though the OB kept Miss diagnosing me ( I digress) Once all of the wrinkles were resolved, we started the IVF process in Nov 2017. It was successful. We had our 1st child. Fast forward to June 2021 we started 2nd round, it too was successful. I cannot tell you how grateful we are to this team. Everyone is so helpful and assuring no matter how aggy you could be they will never show it or tell you LOL. Dr. Shaykh and team are very knowledgeable and professional. With guided advise we were again were successful. All praises to the most high. I pray this helps someone. Much love
This place is amazing . Dr Shaykh, Brianna, Brenda , and Kim are an amazing team of medical professionals. I came here after a previous bad experience at another clinic and they immediately restored my confidence. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and is always making sure you are comfortable . I am currently going to through and IVF cycle and I always have a million questions lol and I email Brianna or call and I am never talked to like my question is stupid. Dr Shaykh also did my surgery within a week for my endometriosis pain and to keep me on track with my IVF schedule. I have already recommended them to people and I will continue to do so.
I was recommended to Dr. Shaykh in 2006 due fertility issues. He, and his staff were nothing but fabulous from start to finish. In the beginning Dr. Shaykh mentioned that I (we) had a very slim chance of having a baby, however he was very supportive in our decision to continue, and in 2007 I (we) had a healthy baby boy. Even after 7 years I am still a patient of Dr. Shaykh’s today, so I highly recommend him and his staff to anyone who is considering fertility.
My husband and I went to Dr. Shaykh for fertility treatments for five months. We went through three cycles of timed intercourse and two of IUI before getting pregnant. Im currently 31 weeks pregnant, due on November 3. We had a great experience at the Roanoke office, especially with Lisa. Lisa performed all of our procedures, and genuinely seemed happy for us when we became pregnant. Should we need further services, we will definitely return.
I had a previous bad experience with another Fertility doctor and began to search for a new doctor. I was apprehensive but from the first telephone call I knew that this was the right doctor for me. This has been a relatively quickly process and Im happy to say that from consult less than 2 weeks ago I begin treatment in the next few days. The rates are really reasonable so its obvious he is not all about the money. The costs are under half of the expenses of other Fertility specialists and by switching to him I have saved over $5,000. I look forward to continuing to work with everyone at this office.****** needed to add that I started out what I thought was a quick process had some bumps in the road which included needing a surgery after retrieval. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Shaykh and all of his staff. They are funny and helpful. Readily available for the questions, concerns, oops moments. (I broke my Lupron over the weekend) or just to talk/listen. Choosing this office was the best decision. Im scheduled for a May 12th FET transfer and Im looking forward to a Shaykh Baby I actually look forward to the long drive because I am reassured that everyone actually cares.
Extremely unprofessional. I was referred here online from one of their existing patients, the receptionist laughed when I asked if they would transfer more than 1 embryo and said to pay the 200$ consultation fee and I’d find out. I question the legitimacy of this business being that every other facility answered that question without laughing, without a consultation. Also, a legitimate business of this nature should be able to bill my insurance for a consultation. Also, if you read through their replies to other patients on this page, this business revealed confidential patient information in their responses. Do not trust this place. Unprofessional and untrustworthy.
We saw Dr Shaykh for 2 years . We loved the staff and the dr very much. We are finally expecting our little princess :) We are grateful for everything that everyone there did for us. The journey was emotional and they were all very understanding to all of our needs. Thanks to everyone!!!!!Update: Ariana is now 6 months old and we are FOREVER GRATEFUL ! We love Dr.Skaykh and all his staff
I highly recommend Dr Shaykh and all the girls of the staff, Heather, Kim, Tiffany, Brianna that got me and all my thousand questions and emails all the time without complaining and caring for me and the whole process. Also the nurse Brenda and Maria tranfering my million calls. I got my first online consultation two years before I started the procedure, but as you can imagine its expensive and scary at the same time. When we finally decide to do it prices were very similar anyway. In that time I sent a lot of email asking so many questions back and forward and Tiffany and Kim answered all the time and very fast, these are the first line of duty of the clinic so they gave me peace of mind that I choose the right place because the service was excelent all the time. Then we finally met Dr. Shaykh and he is very nice, we liked him and didnt had any question at that time because I already asked so much to the ladies. Tiffany explained the medicines with a lot of patience, they all take care of you and any doubt you may have. First try didnt work, we were debastated, but you need to be prepared for that, our second embryo is now 9 weeks with a strong heartbeat, cant wait for my next ultrasound to see it. All this time I still contact the clinic for medicines and advise, they dont leave you hang out after you get pregnant and get back to you the same day if they are busy. So I guess this was a very long review but I think is worth it so anyone whos looking to do ivf know that this a very good clinic, amazing, knowledgeable and caring staff and AAA+ doctor.
Absolutely love Dr. Shaykh!I had a successful tubal reversal on April 27 2015 and conceived exactly 4 months to the day after my surgery. I now have two beautiful healthy and happy child to add to the three I already had.Alyssa Jayde Blaske born 05-94-16River Kase Blaske born 04-23-18Thank you so much Dr. Shaykh for helping our family!!
The doctor did not give me a cell phone number when I asked him during the meeting and assured me that I would be connected to him immediately if I call the front desk - they refused to do that - my wife had her periods and I wanted to speak with the doctor immediately so 3 days later it is too late - I do not want to spend between $10,000 to $20,000 out of pocket and my wife taking hormones medications and not to be connected to the doctor on Friday morning.Me and my wife lost 1.5 months of my valuable time which costs the doctor only picking up the phone - horrible experience - I regret dealing with this office - would not recommend it to anybody.
I had my tubal ligation in 2012 after my third son. I was only 24. Since then I have went through a divorce and I have been with my new partner for three years. We had always talked about wanting a baby together and I am only 32 so I knew I needed to hurry up and get on it if I was going to do this. We found about the assisted fertility clinic through someone I knew who had also used this same clinic and so we went for it. I drove to Jacksonville FL from Georgia with my sister and older niece by my side. Had my surgery last week July 30,2020. I am 8 days post OP and feel great. I can tell you this surgery is nothing easy nor can I tell you you wont be in pain I would be lyining. What I can tell you is that thos offfice does a great job. Miss Brenda helped me through all my questions and fears. Also Jacksonville surgery center had great nurses and made my day as comfortable as could be. If you have a tubal reversal in your mind, I HIGHLY recommend Assosted Fertility Program you will leave 100% satisfied!!!! 💓💓
After 4 miscarriages, 3 failed IUIs and a year of fertility testing, I began researching IVF clinics all over Florida and Mexico. I had my treatments with Reproductive Medicine Group but when IVF was suggested the quote they gave was more than I could afford. Mexico had very affordable rates and a few doctors with good reputations but after adding up the cost it would work out to be the same cost in America. Plus I wanted to work with a doctor who was closer obviously. My research led me to Dr Shayks office. He was affordable but I could not find many reviews online for IVF patients. Some of the reviews online made me hesitate, I read a few that said the doctor and staff was unorganized, and that doctor had a bad bedside manner. I went in thinking ok, I will have to stay on top of my game to keep them on their toes but was comfortable be cause I knew what to expect. On the first visit, I was Impressed. The doctor had a great demeanor. He was very laid back, he didnt make us feel small and took the time to explain the reason for his suggestions in full details which was a stark difference from the Dr at Reproductive Medicine Group. We felt like we were in control but he was our informed support. We decided to move forward and from their we delt solely with the staff. We paid the deposit and chose the month we wanted to try. I got my prescription and 1st calender by email but felt being that it was my first time, it could have been explained in more detail. Some of the staff was ok. The girl at the front desk was a bit rude everytime I checked in for my appointment. The medical nurse who took my blook pressure everytime I came was very friendly but always asked the same questions about my miscarriages and number of pregnancies which I thought was a part of my file. It was just weird reliving the memory over and over and also the blood pressure cup always malfunctioned which waisted time and was annoying. One of the nurses was always all over the place. She mostly handled paperwork and calendars. Everytime I would call for something in my file she would say I dont know where your file is, maybe the Dr has it. She often had to call me back and seemed rushed and all over the place. The other nurse I liked so much. She talked to us, kept us informed, didnt mind explaining things as she had been through IVF with the doctor before. She seemed to keep the dr. In order and we could tell her anything. On the day of retrieval, we were so nervous because we needed this to work. The doctor was super professional and very skilled. I was fearful the dr wouldnt understand my wishes. We only had 5 eggs and of the five, only 2 were grade B. Because we wanted to increase our chances we wanted to put back the best 3 and freeze the worst 2 because we felt guilty discarding them and we knew we would try again and would use them with second round. He completely shocked us with his approach. He listened to our wants. He asked us a few trick questions about how we would adjust to multiples. After we answerd I assume correctly, he suggested we put back all 5 to increase our chances and to ease my mind about the other 2 eggs that didnt look to good. We were happy considering Im 34 and my other dr had a strick policy to only put back 2. We felt positive about the whole thing and Dr Shayk and Kim made it so unstressful for us. At this moment I am 5 months pregnant with a single little girl. I cant be happier with my experience and the outcome. I wanted to give a real honest review so you will know what to expect. Overall I had a good experience with a very skilled and knowledgeable doctor for a very reasonable price. I plan to do it again a year from now and totally trust dr. Shayk and his staff.
Dr Sheykh and his outstanding team have helped us through what can be a challenging process.I am now 23 weeks pregnant and expecting a little boy.I had been to a different fertility clinic before and it was a completely different experience. With Assisted fertility, you feel like you have one on one attention during the IVF process. In other clinics you are just a number. His wonderful staff gets to know you by name and they help you with every detail. Always quick to answer your calls and give you information you need. I highly recommend Assisted Fertility.
Dr. Shaikh was extremely thorough in explaining all of my options as well as listening to the issues I was facing. Im generally not as comfortable with male REIs or gynecologists, but I was very at ease with him. Highly recommend!
THIS FERTILITY CLINIC HAS CHANGED ME AND MY WIFES LIFE FOR THE BETTER !! THANK YOU SO MUCH TO DR.SHAYKH FOR BEING SO PATIENT, UNDERSTANDING AND GENUINE!!! YOU ARE SUCH AN AMAZING DOCTOR AND ARE GIFTED !! STEPHANIE IS SUCH AN AMAZING NURSE SHE WAS OUR BIGGEST ADVOCATE AND BIGGEST SUPPORTER ALONG WITH LULU, ROSE, and BRENDA WHO MADE THIS JOURNEY SO HEARTWARMING!! AND I CANT FORGET CLAIRE!! SHE SHOWED US ENDLESS LOVE AND SUPPORT FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!! THIS ENTIRE FERTILITY CLINIC HAS BEEN AMAZING !! THEY DIDNT TREAT US LIKE A NUMBER THEY TREATED US LIKE FAMILY!! IM SO GRATEFUL WE FOUND THEM.. THIS CLINIC IS ALL ABOUT HELPING YOU ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS OF STARTING A FAMILY.. THEY WORKED WITH US IN EVERY ASPECT AND DR.SHAYKH HAS ABSOLUTELY MADE OUR DREAM OF STARTING A FAMILY COME TRUE !! I TRULY BELIEVE GOD WORKED THROUGH THEM TO GET US HERE.. EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THAT OFFICE IS ONE OF A KIND AND IM SO GRATEFUL FOR EVERY LAST ONE.. MY WIFE DUE 09/03/2024 .. AGAIN THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH❤️❤️(BTW the first round of IVF was successful )
I was seen by Dr. Shayk in Roanoke, Virginia. Both Dr. Shayk and his staff there were very accommodating and friendly. They were very understanding of my schedule and worked with me. My husband and I were very blessed when our daughter was born December 11, 2013. If we have any future problems, I would not hesitate to go back to Dr. Shayk.
Definitely not impressed! I chose this office after lots of research online. The price was affordable and reviews were decent. The overall experience was weird. The doctor gave me the creeps. I did the IVF process. When it came down to transfer day, I was told I had 4 viable embryos. I drove 5 hours for the transfer. Dr. Shayk tells my husband and I that we could either wait two more days or transfer them. This would have been nice to know before making the drive. We chose to do the transfer and felt persuaded to transfer all 4. Once we agreed to doing all 4, he then proceeds to talk about abortion if all 4 embryos survive. He went into details as to where to go to have the procedure. Very odd to be discussing abortion when you are trying to get pregnant. Our transfer wasnt successful. When the Dr called to discus this with me, he recommends I use donor eggs the next time if I wanted to do it again. This was surprising considering I had never been told my egg quality was bad before by and doctor. He couldnt give me a real solid explanation as to why he was recommending this. I asked to put him on speaker phone so my husband could hear the news and he seemed annoyed that my husband had questions. Fast forward 6 months later and we visit a new doctor. We were told donor eggs werent necessary and Im presently pregnant with a child. Be very cautious and do your research for whomever you use for ivf. Its an expensive and stressful process. I wouldnt recommend this office but after using a different provider, Id say you get what you pay for at this office.
My husband and I had the best experience with Dr Shaykh. We weren’t sure if it were possible due to health and weight.Ultimately Dr Shaykh was very clear on everything. Now we are on our way to making babies! Lol Praise Jesus
I had tubal reversal surgery a week ago and Dr. Shaykh and his staff were wonderful! I am healing up nicely and they all worked to keep me calm and comfortable and answer all my questions.
I had 2 mental breakdowns that included hospitalization after finding out that this place needed $3,500 (for fertility drugs) financed on top of the what was suppose to be $5,000 (just procedure) cash pymnt I made. Which changed the price to $7,500 (just procedure) I was robbed. Recieved nothing back they offered me $2,300 and only had ONE in patient visit. I tried scrapping up $$ but had 2 mental breakdowns and one almost successful suicide attempt. This is a scam. Not to mention the finance company that paid them for a procedure that was NEVER received. Do NOT pay these people cash they take advantage of people who desperately want to have a child. Im certain Im not the only one this has been done to. Id like to know how this is even legal?!!! The outcome of this stole 5 years of my life.
My experience with the man was horrible. He will try to push you into a c section so he can go eat dinner... nurses call him the cutter. After doing a c section on my girlfriend he only gave her half the normal amount of medication. The nurses also informed me that this was normal for him. Guy is friendly enough before labor. Definitely ruff. But he made this pregnancy a nightmare for us.
This facility does not populate when you google infertility clinics in the Jacksonville area however Assisted Fertility Program is amazing. They accept many of the insurances. It is a small office and the staff is very informative and very welcoming. Anytime I had questions or was uneasy they calmed me and did not make me feel like a random. Dr. Shaykh has been great and is even funny. The IVF Nurse BriAnna are great and will insure that she gets you the best price for medicine.Overall, a great place and awesome staff.
We have been extremely pleased with AFP. Everyone treated us with care and respect. The doctor is experienced but flexible and personable. Practice is well run and communication is great. Definitely recommend.
Dr. Shayks and his great team are doing great job. They help us our dream to become true. All the time then I call them, they always have answer for my question. Thanks a lot for your support, help, bringing happiness in our life, and making our Holidays brighter.
One of the best fertility doctor in Jacksonville. He does not judge if your big or small. He gave me information about what I can do to start my fertility journey. I am slightly in the heavier side where he did not even mention my weight. Which a lot of doctors that’s the first thing they talked about with me. I also do have PCOS and can’t wait to starting conceiving.
Just had surgery with Dr Shaykh and I must say best staff and Doctor ever. He is awesome! I am so pleased with how I was treated from day one! Thank you Dr Shaykh for all that you do!
I had a bad experience from the first day I was in Dr. Shaykh office. After he went over the forms that I completed, automatically he suggested me IVF. It was my first visit (before consultation !!!). Everything went well at the consultation with nothing abnormal, but next he suggested me to do a hysterosalpingography (HSG) to check my tubes. The doctor did not advice me to take any pain killer medicine due to the pain of the procedure. After the HSG he was not able to give me a clear response about my tubes because he could not completely perform the procedure due to the pain that I felt. I do not understand why they did not use a local anesthesia to do the procedure correctly? I did this procedure for no reason. Next, he suggested me to do a laparoscopy which is a more complicated procedure. Another test to hear everything is normal or not when this could be done with HSG.The visits to this doctor made me feel that is all about IVF, when in my opinion this is one of the last steps that couples that can not have babies should do. No everybody needs IVF.
Please go elsewhere . the moment I spoke with the doctor he just jumped straight to Ivf , not everyone needs Ivf. As also mentioned in another reviewers previous post.. He didnt listen to anything besides the fact I had insurance lol the office staff is very disorganized . I asked for my medical records to be released so that they could take a look at my previous records ..they never requested them and when I called to ask why not they told me the paper was not in my file (which is pretty odd) thats the only paper missing ...the nurse is uneducated and when I asked about the difference between two procedures she told me incorrect definitions. I asked questions just to understand what was going to be done to my body and she took it personal that I was questioning the doctors expertise. In which I was scheduled for an procedure this morning called off work to do and this morning she called 3 hours before procedure to cancel saying I was questioning the doctor? Which makes it seem as your not able to ask questions I never said I wouldnt do procedure ever ..she got in her feelings because she couldnt answer my questions correctly .. I never got blood work done, never been diagnosed with any fertility issues but to him it was just all about ivf!! Any doctor that just want to jump straight to the most expensive procedure there is is someone you need to avoid because are you really taking the time to understand me and my specific need or just see someone whos going to help pay for your vacation trip ...he doesnt even show up on the best fertility doctors in the area so use your best judgement !!
Dr Shaykh was patient, kind, and understanding. We have 2 healthy happy 7 year old boys thanks to Dr Shaykh and his terrific staff.
Dr. Shakyh was very knowledgeable. He went out his way to look at me during the consultation. He put my fears at ease. He explained to me what was going to happen. He has long experience. I highly recommend this doctor.

Had my tides untied 12 year after my tubal ligation. I gave birth to a healthy baby boy almost 2 years from the day of surgery!
I had a tubal reversal done in March 2019 and 6 months later BOTH tubes are blocked :( im so hurt and disappointed words cant express my feelings. However im not mad with the doctor because he cant control how my body reacts to the tr im not sure why they blocked could be scar tissue. I will be following up with Dr. Shaykh for my next moved in the process of having my future baby. I love the office and staff and the surgery center was so nice.
