First time visiting (new to Florida) to establish a new patient relationship. The ladies here were wonderful, friendly, professional, and compassionate. I felt well taken care of. They were referred to me by the staff at my family practice doctor, so they have a great reputation from even 45 minutes away.
The worse doctor experience I have ever experienced. Im not sure how they have somany 5 stars reviews. I walked in as a first time pregnant mom, excited for my first ultrasound and get information about my baby. At arrival, I paid the self pay rate of $410 and was lead to an ultrasound room shortly after. After the ultrasound I waited over 30 mins in a room for a doctor to come in to tell me “we cannot provide care due to your BMI.” I’m completely shocked, because I had spoke to this doctor office on multiple occasions and everyone in that office has eyes BUT they never mentioned an BMI limit. The doctor then proceeded to tell me no hospital in Jacksonville but Shands/UF would accept me and “it would be better for you anyway since you are self paid” when my finances were never discussed with the doctor. I walked out with no information about baby, no information about pregnancy and completely overwhelmed. I left feedback for the office and received a call after a week, saying “it was sent to higher management and we will call you back” it has been 3 weeks and I haven’t heard from them again.I have now found a great obgyn who is not associated with Shands/UF. But how this office treated me is unacceptable.
If youre looking for a new OBGYN in Jacksonville, please look elsewhere. My experience here attempting to get an IUD replacement was horrific. Ive had 2 Mirenas before, with easy insertions and no issues. Yesterday I went to get mine replaced, it was a 1.5 month wait to see a doctor so it was done by one of the NPs. It started off standard enough and the IUD got inserted, no problems. They wanted to follow up with an ultrasound immediately after, which Id never had done at my 2 prior replacements. The ultrasound tech found the IUD was sitting too low. What followed the next 15 minutes was complete hell with intense pain, screaming and crying, and NP said she couldnt get it in far enough because I have a retroflexed uterus (Ive always had this) and Id have to wait and schedule an appointment to see if a doctor could do it. When I asked if they ever prescribe anything for pain, I was told no and the only response was being a woman is hard. I know this is not true, because I was prescribed misoprostol for my first Mirena, which was a breeze, and I know there are other interventions that exist. While this was happening, the ultrasound tech was pressing hard on my stomach which was making the pain worse. They kept telling me to stop tensing my stomach, which was impossible with the pain and pressure from the ultrasound and I communicated as much. Overall, the bedside manner was very cold compared to what I experienced my prior 2 insertions. The NP prescribed me a progestin pill (I wasnt even asked what kind of pill I wanted?) and then they basically just left me there to clean up and go home. I wasnt offered anything but a small pantyliner despite heavy bleeding and I left crying and humiliated. Seeing me crying, the front desk staff said they would call me tomorrow to complete checkout, but no one ever did. I called myself this morning to ask about the ability to get a refund since the IUD wasnt replaced, and was told that yes a partial refund may be possible and forwarded me to billing, who then left me a voice-mail saying they have to file the whole claim with the insurance company and then in 30 or 40 days I can call back and see if a partial refund is possible. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I found the doctor who did my first Mirena insertion and have scheduled a consult at her practice instead.
A friend recommended this office, and I am so happy that I switched. There was an issue with my insurance information , but they called and fixed the issue prior to my appointment ,which I genuinely appreciated. When I arrived I was greeted by everyone at the front desk, they were extremely friendly , welcoming and warm. The office was very clean and decorated beautifully for the holidays. The nurse who took me back was very kind and friendly. She made me feel very comfortable and took her time to make me feel welcome and important. The doctor that I saw was very articulate& knowledgeable. She took her time to answer all of my questions & she made me feel very comfortable. I was extremely happy with my visit and every single employee there. I know most women dont look forward to going to their annual visit at the OBGYN including me, but it sure will be much easier from now on knowing that I have such an amazing doctor and staff working with me. If I could give more than five stars I would amazing customer service & patient care. Thank you !
I was a patient of theirs for 2 children. The first pregnancy care with them was fine, the birth and hospital stay was a nightmare. After having birth elsewhere,I realize that the entire birth was absolutely sub par and my tearing could have easily been prevented. Nobody communicated to the hospital nurses that i had a 3rd degree tear and nobody gave me pain medication for a full day after birth, then acted like I was a huge bother for asking for help moving, then acted like I was an even more of a bother when I begged for tylenol or ANYTHING to stop feeling my entire pevlis tear apart when I moved. I literally have PTSD from my birth with them. Little did I know the real nightmare would begin after the birth of what I thought was my last child. I had my tubes tied by Dr Caldow. We had discussed that she would cut and burn my tubes. Come to find out (during my second tubal ligation) during the original surgery, she decided to clamp them, unbeknownst to me. 8 months later, I was pregnant again. When the office found out, it was almost as if it were a joke. They were all laughs and giggles and youre so lucky even after I emphasized and made it extremely clear that I did not want/could not afford/could not mentally handle another child. I even asked for a hysterectomy and was denied. Needless to say, we chose a different OBGYN to help us and they found the clamps floating around in my body. Because of Faben and Dr Caldow, we had another child and are now in a constant state of financial struggle. I am on so much medication for anxiety and depression because of what she did to us. Im not sure if it was laziness or trying to get people in and out of the OR, but whatever carelessness she did will affect us for a lifetime. I love my children beyond belief, but being forced to have another child is absolutely traumatizing on a whole different level. The office handled this horribly and anyone we tried to speak to on the matter purposefully ignored us, which just makes them look like the guilty party they are. I wouldnt recommend this OB to anyone at all. Ever.Go to UF Health, you will be cared for much better and have a great birthing experience. They listen to you and dont give you birth trauma, financial ruin, and trash mental health.Note how every review, good or bad has a review...yet mine doesnt. They know what they did and the more I tell people about it, the more stories I hear about the negligence of Dr Caldow. I honestly have no idea how Faben has any good reviews. The wait times are astronomical, bedside manner is mediocre at best, and they wont call you back if you have any issues.
I love everyone in this office! The doctors listen and show compassion. The office staff is friendly and fun to interact with. I’ve gotten more help here in the last year than I have in 33 years of talking to doctors about my reproductive issues. I highly recommend this group.
Dr. Trotter and her Nurse, Chris, are both kind, caring, informative, and wonderful human beings. My daughter has been facing some struggles with her feminine health, and we had already been to another physician who’d dismissed her as having “normal” symptoms. Dr. Trotter and Chris both listened extensively and answer all the questions we had, and validated our worries were sincere and absolutely not “normal” symptoms. Grateful for both! Happy to have found them for my daughters women’s health journey.
First visit with Dr. Fox on 11/13/23. Prior GYN retired. I am 63 and have never experienced such a caring, thoughtful and compassionate provider. She is super intelligent, yet humble and very interested in me as a patient. I highly recommend her. Staff is excellent, too!
This practice delivered all three of my babies! All of the doctors are just fantastic and being in a practice with all women really makes me feel comfortable. I personally prefer Dr. Kohaut and have been under her care for over a decade. She discusses both women’s and general health with me and gives excellent advice on both. I appreciate her attention to detail and how knowledgeable she is on women’s health issues. She is truly a top notch doctor who cares about her patients.
Faben group is fantastic. First, all the providers are female, which is very important to me. Secondly, I was able to make an appointment in a short time. Third, the front desk staff and providers are very friendly and competent and follow-up with you in a timely manner. I wholeheartedly recommend this group.
This has been the ‘dreaded’ dr’s appointment since I was 14, until today!! Everyone was so friendly and nice. Just made the entire visit so pleasant that I forgot it was my first visit. Dr. Caldow was so down to earth it was like talking to a girlfriend. Being a post-menopausal woman, it’s not something you like talking about but she made it so comfortable for me to voice m concerns. Thank you!!
Dr Mason was amazing! Made me feel comfortable and was so easy to talk too! Her MA Nikki is by far the best ever, even if I am a little bias!!! Would recommend FABEN to anyone looking for a great, competent, compassionate care.
Upon arrival a friendly hello and easy check in process, brought back pretty quickly w an informative nurse and didn’t even wait 10 minutes for Dr Caldow to arrive! Very comfortable exam, never in a hurry, answers all my questions, and very personable! Pleasant check out . Highly recommend this practice- look forward to my visit next year! Thank you ALL!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩🌟
Dr. Fox is truly a gift. These doctors have a heart for their patients, and truly care about every person that walks through their door. The wait times can take a little longer, but it’s because each doctor spends as much time with their patients as needed. I have been a patient here for 6 years and have always had good experiences. There are several female doctors in this practice, so if you don’t mesh with one doctor you can test out the other ones to find the one that fits you and your personality. I would recommend Faben and these doctors to anyone!
The Faben group is wonderful! Everyone is so kind, helpful and caring whether by phone or when I am in the office. Dr. Porter is my doctor and she is amazing! Hands down she is the best OB/GYN I have ever had and I was very lucky to have found her. When I am nervous during an appointment she is so understanding and truly cares. She calms me down and answers any questions I have. I highly recommend Dr. Porter and The FABEN Group!
Gyn visit. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dr Hicks was pleasant and took time to listen to my concerns. I did not feel rushed. I was there 2 hrs for my appointment from start to finish including ultrasound, wait time, and seeing the Dr. which is understandable because nothing is quick in medical. Every patient is different and takes a different amount of time, some more and some less. So just be patient as they are thorough. I would recommend this office. 👌
Everyone there was extremely friendly and kind. The doctor reassured me about my concerns and helped make me an informed decision about birth control. And I was in and out in 30minutes!! It was so quick and easy I most certainly recommend them!
FABEN has been absolutely wonderful! My previous provider/group was good, but they rarely answered the phone, orders would fall through the cracks, and Id have to wait a long time at appointments. FABEN has a dedicated nurse line that actually picks up the phone and everyone is SO NICE. I have a significant history which causes me a lot of anxiety. Theyve never once been rude or made me feel silly. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for OBGYN!
I see a lot of good reviews. Maybe I just chose the wrong doctor. It was a long wait time but during my visit I felt rush and it was a horrible experience. The staff and nurse were amazing! Unfortunately, I will not be returning for another visit with that doctor.
Dr Caccam and staff are great! Dr C is knowledgeable, personable (quite funny too) and professional. The staff is also pleasant and efficient. This is the type of Gynecological office all women would love to have in their corner! Thanks for taking such good care of me!
The staff was great, and friendly. I just felt like when i got to the back and the doctor came it was such a quick exam, but im new to this clinic maybe thats how its done.Other than that definitely recommend
Dr Brittney Megan, she’s amazing, she’s always helping you and taking care of you. She has a great team work and you feel like you’re at home. My experience with the Dr is always wonderful. Also she speaks Spanish 😊, I fully recommend her.
I am so beyond angry with this practice. Faben has sent me to COLLECTIONS over a $300 balance without informing me of any past due balance.I had not heard from Faben through email, phone calls, written letters or any other sort of communication since my last appointment early this summer. I found out through a collections agency yesterday they had past my debt onto them. At the time of my appointment they collected my insurance and told me I did not owe anything at the time. No one at their office could give me any explanation as to why they did not tell me I owed a balance. You would expect an OBGYN to be in the business of building women up. Ruining a young girls credit score when she is trying to receive routine care is not the character of practice I will ever trust again.
Dr. Kohaut is amazing, she listens to her patients, and give the best recommendations for your health. Her bedside manners makes you feel comfortable and gives you assurance that your care and well being will be mangaed to the best if her ability.
The whole team failed me and my baby, They destroyed my life forever.Starting 23 weeks I started swelling and dr Porter were not concerned about it at all, she send me home with compression socks, because of her ineptitude my daughter is not here. As time went ending 23 weeks, the swelling got worse and I appear to had protein on my urine so dr Kohaut send me a 24hr urine sample that came under 300 and they send me home, I came 2 weeks after for the sugar test and dr Kohaut saw more protein on my urine and I went to ROC for an ultrasound but it was to late. I was being statted in L&D because in the ultrasound the dr said the baby had growth restriction (2weeks behind) due to poor blood flow from umbilical cord through the placenta.. They hospitalized me on 10/13 gave me a Magnesium Sulfate IV and gave me 2 steroids shots, I had high blood pressure and while being monitored the baby was having desacelarations on her heart beat… by the time I was hospitalized dr Mason was oncall, the “plan” was to stay pregnant as much weeks as I could but on 10/16 they decided to do a Emergency C-Section - the nurse on turn didn’t had any idea on what she was doing that she couldn’t ever found my baby heart beat and always ask for help and in 10 min they make that decision of c section that I haven’t been clearly told who gave the approval, 3 days later after my baby was in the NICU she passed for being to premature. I’m heart broken just because they didn’t do nothing for me on time. I had Anemia they never gave me iron, I had blood clots they never inject me levenox, I had bad circulation they never gave baby aspirin, because they didn’t care, they didn’t run any test on me to figured out on time why I was so swollen at 23 weeks. I was severely swollen and I told them I was concerned, I should have requested more ultrasounds and test. Just because something is the “standard or norm” doesn’t mean you have to adhere to it. I should have Advocate and push for more. But as first time mom I didn’t knew I’m trusting them and I didn’t follow my gut and now my baby isn’t here and I’m dying inside and burning in pain everyday. This is the worst and most traumatic experiences I’ve ever had and I don’t wish it happened to anybody, all those dr washed their hands from any responsability, all I have said I learned it after the fact reading and I’m not a dr.Dr Kohaut after the baby passed submit on the portal the urine test as normal just to safe them self when I was told I had high levels of protein.. Florida is a non fault state, so drs can do whatever they want. All I know thiscould have been avoided if they would’ve care.
The dr was very nice and answered all my questions but the receptionist and staff in charge of scheduling/returning phone calls is extremely rude. I ended up having to have multiple appointments due to being scheduled incorrectly and in turn had to pay for multiple visits when it all should have been in 1 visit. They also claimed I asked for the additional appointment when I did not. I was told I had to make a second appointment with a different doctor. They didn’t care though. It wasn’t them that was inconvenienced or charged. I don’t feel that the care given was bad but I wouldn’t recommend going to this office either
My appointments with FABEN have always been very efficient and easy. The nurse practitioner, Jessica Hough is competent, compassionate, and relaxed. Her demeanor alleviates the stress of being at the OBGYN.
Today was my first visit, referred by my general doctor after my former gynecologist retired. The staff is extra friendly and Jessica took great care to make me feel at ease. Glad to have finally found a place for my gynecological needs!!
I had a great experience; in and out. The receptionist had a hard time verifying my insurance but she asked me to email her my insurance card and then she called to schedule my appt. She was very polite. I was an early morning appointment, did not wait long and Dr. Kohaut was very kind, compassionate and listened to my concerns. I did not feel rushed like at most doctors offices. Always a good experience here! thank you!
I’m half way through my first pregnancy and FABEN was a recommendation from a friend. Hands down the best medical care I’ve ever received. They rotate you through each OB so you know who delivers your baby regardless, and the rest of the staff is wonderful too. I’ve had to call the emergency nurse line a few times and they’ve always been kind and understanding. Highly recommend!!
I have been going to FABEN since 2006. Have seen Dr. Fox the entire time. Have had many procedures done by her and simple annual exams. ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER AND THIS PRACTICE. She is very personable, great bedside manner, caring, compassionate, understanding to your needs and wants, professional, and just an overall AMAZING doctor. Her staff is AWESOME too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Dr. and her wonderful facility. Also, has 3 locations to choose from. You will not be disappointed.
Very nice staff. Clean office. I am a new patient both the assistant and my doctor very attentive. I didn’t feel rushed. The doctor took her time and addressed all of my concerns.Would definitely recommend this practice!!!
Always had an amazing experience. Anytime I have a concern they bring me right in and address all my concerns immediately. If you need the nurse, they always answer the phone to help. The doctors, NP, midwives have been amazing and take their time with you in the room. I have never felt rushed nor have I waited long in the waiting room. I have been there thru fertility concerns to having a baby and now postpartum. I can’t say enough great things about them - at all locations.
I feel unheard. I have visit the JTB location for the same symptoms within 6 months with no results. To begin with my lastest visit. The young lady who took my vitals was rude and went back and forth with me and over talking me about my problem making is seem as if it’s my fault. I was told by the doctor my symptoms which includes spotting were normal. I feel like they are not trying to find the problem rather just get paid for my visit. The doctor literally spent 3 mins in the room and left. I’m very disappointed in the service. Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the ladies at the front desk are very nice.
I love this office. The staff are all wonderful, very polite and professional, from the front desk to the Doctors. I love the fact that this is an all women physicians group and the doctors are very engaging and knowledgeable which brings a high level of confidence.
I was pleasantly surprised by how professional and nice everyone was. I had seen very critical reviews on Google but my experience was perfectly fine. Wait time was minimal and the doctor was kind and took her time explaining everything. She made me feel comfortable and had a little sense of humor which helped me relax. Her assistant and the front office staff were welcoming and friendly too.
I’ve been going to FABEN for 6 or 7 years and they’ve delivered two of our girls. I’ve recommended the doctors at FABEN to friends and all of us have had great experiences. I went in today and didn’t wait long. The nurses and doctors are amazing about answering questions and the front office staff are so sweet. The phlebotomist has such a fun personality!
I have been with FABEN since the birth of my 16 years old daughter. They take the time to listen, check an explain everything really well to you. They don’t rush and they do everything they can to prevent any complications or escalations. I haven’t had any insurance or payment problem. Thanks to their “preventive” care my breast cancer was caught in early stage and I will be able to continue my life w/o big changes (besides a double mastectomy). Due to my family history, Dr Hicks was always explaining to me the importance of my annual MRI and mammogram. I know many people with the same family history and their doctor doesn’t doesn’t bother to fight for their preventive MRI. In my case, Dr Hicks took the time to listen to me and justify to the insurance how important a breast MRI was for me and thanks to her, my breast cancer was discovered in my annual MRI early enough to stop any threat.I think they truly care about the health of their patients and treat each one of them with respect . I will recommend them to anyone at any time!
I LOVE THE LADIES AT FABEN! I’ve been going here for 4 years and every time I stop it I have a great time with lots of laughs . All the ladies in the office are very knowledgeable and personable, the office is so clean and organized and those waiting room chairs are nap worthy lol . Shout out to Rae, Angie , Gerry ! Best OBGYN office in Jacksonville!
Dr Fox is so sweet and personable along with Victoria and their staff. They make you feel like your family and always take good care of you. I Love it here!!!!!
From entering the office I was greeted by a smile from the receptionist to being escorted to the exam room, I was greeted by the staff. Dr. Kohut is a wonderful doctor ; before the exam she greets me with how am I doing and are there any issues. She listens and gives her professional advice while not making you feel rushed and then proceeds with exam. Highly recommend!
This is a great practice everyone in the office was super nice and friendly. It didn’t take long to make an appointment and we didn’t have to wait long in the waiting room or during the exam! And my daughter kind of fainted when she was getting her blood drawn and the nurses and physicians assistance really helped her and showed a lot of concern! I totally recommend this practice!
I am having to make a switch over due to insurance reasons and I was so leery on her to call but I must say Tori took my initial call yesterday to get my first prenatal appt scheduled and she was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered. I was unsure of my insurance and there was some uncertainty there on whether my insurance was accepted at all your locations Tori helped me with that something she didn’t have to do but she did. Thank you!!!! I look forward to next weeks visit with your office and many future visits. Tori is AMAZING and if that’s just a glimpse into your office and staff I know this experience will be wonderful!!!
I had the Most Pleasant Dr. Visit today at Faben Obstetrics and Gynecology. I met Dr. Fox today and she was so patient and understanding with me. She made me feel so Comfortable and Welcome. Dr. Fox explained everything that was going to be done and was so gentle. Dr. Fox answered all my questions and Im so Happy that I found this practice.
Ive been with faben for at least 5 years now and dont plan of ever changing it. From annual visits, to urgent appointments for concerns, to monitoring my first pregnancy now, these women doctors, nurses and midwives have not once disappointed me. They have all been very nice, compassionate and there for me in times of need. They seem to live by the words women for women and that says everything. They have a 247 nurse on call that is just a phone call away to address emergency questions and concerns. They agreed to see me for this pregnancy before the normal 6 weeks gestional age visit because they understand that sometimes there may be a need for that and they are there for you.I have had issues with billing but nothing a phone call cannot fix.I have been in the office at times for way longer than I hoped for but I do understand that they leave room and attend to emergencies and they take their time addressing all concerns a patient has while literally holding your hand at times.Thank you faben, looking forward to more visits in the near and distant future.
Front and clinical staff kind, courteous, and welcoming. The only issue was that the front office area smelled like cigarettes (Im not used to that smell anymore). Dr. Trotter was friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. Thank you!
There was less than 5 min wait when I saw Dr Mason, who always greets with a smile & pleasant conversation to relax the patient! She is knowledgeable, professional and kind. I highly recommend the FABEN practice!
Dr. Ana Hicks is caring, patient, professional and communicates options for care clearly. The nurse assistant, Rhonda, is fun, yet professional. The support staff and office ladies at all 3 locations are always kind and professional.I’m so glad I was referred to this medical practice!
My first trimester ultrasound went absolutely WONDERFUL with Ms. April. the first technician I had for my confirmation ultrasound made me feel very unwelcome at this establishment but I am forever thankful for April. she even printed out ALL of the pictures from our confirmation ultrasound which the previous tech just gave us one and rushed us out. Thank you!
Came to my appointment 15 minutes early with all of my paperwork done, covid screening done, and had already paid my copay online. I was taken into the room rather quickly, but then waited for a whole hour after my appointment time before I decided I had to leave. No one had even checked on me or let me know there was going to be a long wait. I had work and an event to get to and waiting an hour for an appointment that should have been a quick 10 minute follow-up is not acceptable. My usual doctor has left this practice and I always had great experiences with her, so I will not be returning.
In my 37 years Ive had my fair share of medical issues and Ive moved around a lot, requiring me to switch doctors often. Ive honestly never felt so cared for than I did yesterday after seeing Ms. Hough at Faben...and she may have even saved my life. She convinced me to stop ignoring a dangerous issue of mine, gave me the interventions I needed right away, and then the office set me up with further referrals within an hour of my return home. When the pharmacy was slow, they called for me immediately; and the response time from the staff at Faben really made me feel like I had their full attention until they knew I had gotten what I needed and they could close my case for now. Also, the office was clean, bright, and very spacious; and again, I cannot say enough about the kind women at every single level of staff. Fabulous experience, very highly recommended!
So I am a pretty sceptical person when it comes to Drs, but Dr. Jessica Houghs was amazing. She personally came to get me, did my weight, brought me to the room, went into any previous medications and questions on specific topics. She was very thorough and is more concerned about my treatment than another number. I appreciate how nice everyone was when I came in. Personally I will be going back.
I’m 25 this year and I’ve been struggling since I was 16! I’ve been to countless doctors and the hospital and nobody ever took me seriously until I came here. The women led team listened and took the tests immediately and helped me get diagnosed with PCOS. I’m now on medication and my symptoms are managed and I’m living much better! They give you tips to make ultra sounds and annuals extremely comfortable and treat you with dignity and compassion.
First time consultation at Faben today! couldn’t be happier! the lovely sweet beautiful front desk ladies, the nurse… i didn’t wait 5 min to be called, this never happened to me!Highly recommend Faben!!!
Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. I really liked it was all women and that they make an effort to let you know they are focused on all ages. It was my first visit and they will most definitely be my doctors from now on.
Jessica Hough is amazing and has been so compassionate with me during this pregnancy after my stillbirth last year. She always answers my questions, no matter how crazy they are!
Dr mason and her team was so amazing very great staff made me feel at home and comfortable as possible during my biospy felt no pain I will forever be blessed she was my doctor the front desk ladies are amazing also Katie and Rae were great made me feel right at home . If your looking for a great team this is your people I would give 10 stars if I could
I have been with FABEN since 2017, and I am very pleased with the care I have always received from staff, and specially from Dr. Kohaut! South point is a great location! I would not get any other Doctor!
I’ve been going to Faben for many years. I’ve been with them with three babies. All the doctors are so kind and knowledgable. The office staff are pleasant and professional. I can’t say enough good things about this practice.
I had not seen my gynecologist , Dr.Bettina Kohaut ,for several years prior to making my most recent appointment. I was visibly anxious and was given such kind, caring reassurance which left me much more open to discussing the point of my visit at that time. I will always recommend this group as both an advocate of women treating women, especially in this field of expertise, but also because they are incomparable as practitioners. You will appreciate this when they are your medical providers... Nancy Masciarelli Retired RN,BC
I have been with Faben since 2019 when the were upstairsBaptist downtown . I have had 2 deliveries with them and they were amazing, which I tell everyone who would listen. However, I noticed that the bigger they are getting, the worse the experience. It started when I cancelled an appointment because I had Covid and later called to reschedule. I got to the appointment and was told they couldn’t see me because I had contracted Covid 2 weeks prior, the same reason why I canceled the first appointment because I am very much aware of their Covid policies. Next was when I fell down the stairs and needed an ultrasound done to make sure my baby was ok. I got to the appointment 10mins early and had checked in online the night before. I was told there was an issue with my insurance which I resolved, they still insist to wait for the changes to kick in before they could see me so I offered to pay out of pocket but the front desk lady told me my appointment time was past(3mins) and that they couldn’t see me. No concern to make sure I was okay, just worried about getting paid. It goes on and on… my review will be a whole essay so I’d just end here… Don’t go there because you will be just a number, no respect, no empathy!!!
I am a first time patient and was seen by Dr. Kohaut. I very much dislike going to my OBGYN oppointments based on passed experiences with other doctors, so I was dreading going to this appointment. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience with Dr. Kohaut. I found her to be kind, caring and attentive to what I had to say and actually listened. I also liked the fact that the office provides you with a robe rather than those terrible hospital gowns we all have to wear for the exam. Im so glad I found Dr. Kohaut and I wont need to stress about future appointments 🙌
The staff has been so wonderful with my recent visits. They make me feel so comfortable. Excited to continue this new journey with these wonderful women.
There aren’t enough stars and words for this team of amazing women. I have been seeing dr Porter for years and even though I am moving out of state, that won’t change. Although everyone is amazing this review is for Morgan. She has literally been a life saver. I found a lump in my breast and went through it with insurance and imaging facilities and she went above and beyond to get me helped. She did more than she needed and I will be forever grateful for her care, concern and empathy. Give that woman a raise or at least a lunch on me. Just couldn’t be happier. Thank you Morgan for everything
I feel like another number on their chart. I recently moved to Jacksonville and needed to find a doctor to offer guidance on fertility. When I called to make an appointment I explained what I was hoping to learn, and asked if they could help. The woman on the phone seemed to hear me, and said she would make me appointment. I assumed that meant I would have an appointment that would get me started assessing my fertility. Turns out, it was a consultation - which means they read the forms I filled out, took a urine sample they told me later they did nothing with, confirmed my address, asked me questions I could have answered on the phone, and referred me to a specialist. No tests. No labs. No help. I was at the office for an hour, nervous about what I would learn, waiting. The doctor was with me five minutes, asked about my health, and said it sounds like Im healthy. Really?? I left frustrated and very disappointed. Then I got the bill. Then I was really frustrated. So I just called the clinic to ask about the bill, to figure out where the communication breakdown was and to see if they would be willing to reduce it. I was flatly told there was nothing they could do. My insurance had already reduced it. Thats the bill. No help, concern, sympathy, NOTHING. Is this normal?? I hope not. But Im not going back.
I LOVE Dr. Fox, however, the office policies are HORRIBLE! My insurance plan specifically waives the deductible for maternity yet they wanted me to pay a $4,000 deductible upfront and then reimbursed me after my delivery. When I mentioned that my insurance waives the deductible for maternity benefit, her answer was “ this is our office policy” not to mention that she showed no sympathy and was rude the whole time. I decided to switch offices after that call.. I understand collecting when you have high deductible plans, but not when your breakdown says MATERNITY DEDUCTIBLE WAIVED.. I will miss Dr. Fox!
I called to get some anti nausea medication for severe nausea after removing my IUD, I was told to contact my primary as it wasn’t a gyn issue……. Um hormone imbalance is a gyn issue. Very, very disappointed with the care I was given. It was the nurse practitioner and not my dr.
All of my appointments have been phenomenal. I feel loved and cared for and not rushed like the next patient. Dr. Hough and Dr. Fox are wonderful ❤️
I was very pleased with Dr, Trotter when she recently performed a biopsy on me. I was surprised how easy and smoothly the procedure went and was happy to hear good results.
I was a little nervous about trying this place. But all the office staff were amazing! They were all super friendly and made me feel super comfortable.
Dr Fox is amazing and very honest and intelligently informed. She took the time to explain things to me and always makes me feel super comfortable. :)
My husband and I have decided to try for a new addition to our band of boys ( 3 ranging from 20 to 7) this was my first time in a while going to the “girlie” doctor…absolutely felt at home and Dr Jessica answered all my questions, even the crazy ones.
The staff at Faben are very friendly. Doctors are knowledgeable and take time to listen to your concerns. Place is always clean and waiting period is short. I definitely recommend faben for all your OB/GYN needs.
All the staff are amazing. The office is beautiful and clean. Dr Mason takes time to listen and is very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!
I’ve moved to Jacksonville, Fl about 6 months ago. I was nervous as a young mother to find another obgyn that I felt comfortable with and that listened to me. The women and staff here are so nice, so understanding and listened to me. The time I am here in Jacksonville for however long that will be I will go here. Also, they have robes to cover with I don’t know about you but me personally I never seen that and that was truly amazing to have that. Just another example of how they care for their patients. If I could give y’all 10 stars I would!!
Been here a few times. The very first and only time was pretty good. Wait time was short. Quick in and out. After that, it was kind of bad. Had to do some tests... and the lab they sent to didnt even performed it properly (not sure if they forgot to order it or what, but that was a waste of 3 hours of my life). Then they were billing to my old house. I didnt get notices from the office or anything about that payment, no call, no online/email notices. And all the meetings with the doctor has been a terribly long wait. Anywhere from 45 to more than an hour wait.... I check in and all. Its even more obnoxious after all that wait, you see the doctor for less than 5 minutes, and get billed $160. And their appointment systems been bad. They contact you to contact them back... but the phone line always seem busy.... the online isnt much better. It been how long now? And theyre sending my prescription to the wrong pharmacy.... =/ Theyre not organized. I have never been charged more for absolutely nothing. Im gonna switch.
Faben is a great clinic! They have multiple Drs. and nurse practitioner to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. The front desk is friendly and I’ve truly never have had a bad experience in the 12yrs I have gone here. They also have multiple location you can choose from all which are amazing!
Everyone has been so nice and caring Drs and staff. Ive gone through a miscarriage with them and now Im pregnant again. Theyve been with me every step of the way. Im high risk due to my age and bmi. Theyre great
I switched to this practice for my OB care I couldn’t be happier with my choice. 10/10 recommend them. Thank you ladies at the Southpoint office, you are a dream to work with. -MJ Hurst
It took over an hour to reach the reception by phone. When I arrived staff was professional and timely. I will note the staff did an extra procedure but based my diagnosis on the urine sample. I don’t understand the point of the procedure if you used the urine sample to determine the diagnosis.
I had to switch doctors which was very scary for me. As soon as I stepped in to the office everyone was super friendly! I was called back promptly and everyone took great care of me and answered all my questions. I am so excited to be with this group!
I lost a baby in 2017 and was pregnant again. I made them very aware of my cervical incompetence and let them know I was medically told I need a cerclage. Instead of listening to my concerns (I was also in tears) they sent me a referral to a local MFM which was great. They however put in the notes that they wanted to do the “wait and see” approach. Wait what? Thank goodness I went and saw another OB who actually listened to me and sent me a referral immediately to the MFM (same one) to get a cerclage. I am SO glad I left this practice. I now have a healthy baby & if I would have stayed with Faben, I wouldn’t have him. I do NOT recommend this practice at all. Go see Full Circle Womens Care, they will actually listen and take the time to get to know you as a person and build a relationship with you.
I am giving this clinic 5 stars, because the doctors have been very polite with me since day one. When I do the ultrasound for the gender of the baby the nurse who take care of me (at their new location) was such a heart.I feel sorry I didnt remember her name ,but never in my life met someone like her.The clinic is very clean. It is my first pregnancy but I really enjoy the time over there.☺️
Staff are nice however I simple 20 minute appointment turned into 2 hours because they forgot about me. The text messages are confusing because it will tell you a different time than what your appointment actually is
Needed to find a gyno in Jax and was referred here by one of my friends. So happy I found a place where I feel comfortable and the fact it’s an all women’s practice is not only amazing but exactly what I wanted! So so happy to be a patient here, thank you ladies for making me feel so comfortable and I know I’ll be coming here for the rest of my time here in Jacksonville!
From scheduling, to check in, in room care and physician care I felt like I was among the most capable of friends. An amazing experience with Jocelyn and Dr. Caldow where I felt cared for and taken care of. I highly recommend Faben for all women.
This is the best experience you could have at a doctors office. The office is clean, the staff are friendly and Dr Kohaut is the best. She is extremely patient, kind, helpful and best of all you never feel like youre on their allotted time frame to get to the next patient.
Excellence. A kind and experienced intake staff, a courteous and informative in-house ultrasound tech, a gracious physician, Dr. Mason. All were patient with complex questions, thorough with responses and empathetic. A Five Star Practice!
My gynecologist Brittney Mason and all the staff are the best, she is so kind and sweet that always make me feel very comfortable and everybody there makes yo feel in a safe environment.
Easy check in process and the wait time was reasonable. Dr Caldow is very friendly and personable. She listened to me and made me feel understood. I would recommend her as a caring, supportive doctor.
All women and extremely fast service! They can get you an appointment within the week, and consulted with me immediately after my procedure as it is done and reviewed in the same place at the same time. My physician recommended me to go here, definitely worth it.
I wish i could give this practice 0 stars. At my first ultrasound they didn’t see anything besides gestational sac and said it was too early to detect how far along i was. Ok, fine. I go in 2 weeks later and this was the biggest nightmare of my life. During my ultrasound, the sonagrapher said absolutely nothing to me. Approximately 10 minutes later the first words she says to me are “Hmm... did they see anything the last time you were here?” I said no, just the gestational sac, and then she sent me into the waiting room. I then went back to the exam room and waited a whole hour before the doctor came in. While i was in the room i was so scared and nervous something was wrong with my baby. I had people coming in randomly asking if I’m on medications, taking prenatals, etc. At this point I’m just crying because why didn’t the sonographer see anything?! The doctor finally walks in and sees me crying and is confused. She goes and talks to the sonographer and comes back telling me that she heard a healthy heartbeat and not to be worried! I have gone through 2 previous pregnancies and never had a sonographer leave out a huge detail like that. And still at that point they could not tell me what my due date was and sent me away to come back in ANOTHER two weeks! Please, for the health of you and your child, do not go to this practice. They will scare you and leave you with no information. Went to a new OB and was told my due date and got to hear little baby’s heartbeat myself (this is the norm, but apparently not for Faben). Do your research, listen to the reviews. They are incompetent and you are just another number there.***update: i forgot to mention after my first appt, they called me and said i had BV and prescribed me the antibiotic Flagyl. Lady over the phone told me “do not drink with it!” I was like “uhhh.... that will be easy, I’m pregnant....” and she was like “what?! Omg you can’t take this med while pregnant!” I’m sorry but how can the doctors office that told me i am pregnant just suddenly forget and prescribe me an antibiotic potentially harmful to my baby?
I’ve been here three times and so far it’s been great! Short wait times, everyone is friendly and attentive, and the staff is transparent about costs.I’m glad I changed my previous OBGYN to come here.Edited to add:After being there multiple times and seeing different doctors, I highly highly recommend Dr Caccam. She is wonderful, grandpa and caring. It feels like I’m seeing an old-time friend every time I see her.
I have been a patient at Faben for at least 8 years. I have always been happy. I love my doctor and the staff. I really love that they have 3 locations now. One convenient to my house and one convenient to my office
I absolutely love this team. They are always very attentive punctual and professional. I have referred both my daughters and they will be bringing my first grandchild into the world.
I am so disappointed with this facility! Please do not waste your time! The doctors are amazing but the billing process is so messed up. The billing department sometimes doesnt call back or calls back like 5 days later. The reception says one thing and the billing department says another. They made me pay the full amount which was ~$300 in clinic then billed my insurance $550 that I ended up owing another $100 for one appointment. If they were open and honest with me I wouldnt have mind paying but I did not appreciate the lack of professionalism. It makes me so sad to say all these things, I truly wish it wasnt this way! Because I love the idea of an all females clinic with such strong and intelligent doctors.
All I have to say is the reception at Southpoint FABEN are always super kind and friendly. As for the nurses … JESSICA AND KEYA are the BEST. I always love my appointments with them.
I’ve never dealt with such an insanely incompetent staff anywhere in my life. Every time I have an appointment I get a text and an email to check in online. So I do. Then I get another text and another email. I’ll check in three different times with a confirmation and still have to check in when I get here. I got a check in for two different times on the same day. I called twice the week of my appointment to confirm the time. Then when I get here they tell me “they’ll probably still do the procedure but your appointment was 45 minutes ago.” The fact that the staff can’t even read the schedule does not give me any kind of confidence to let them operate on me. I will not be returning to FABEN again.
I have had then best experience with FABEN for several years. From fertility treatment to prenatal care and delivery, Dr. Fox and her staff were wonderful. She goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and she truly cares about her patients.
I have had two appointments with Dr. Caldow and I must say everybody from the office staff to Dr. Caldow have been great. I was seen within a reasonable time period. I was greeted with friendliness. And the doctor took the time to answer all of my questions even asking me if I had any other questions that she could help me with before she walked out of the room. I would definitely recommend..
I love Dr Porter!! She is personable an informational!! ❤️❤️❤️ The staff is great!! Mrs.Gerry was kind an attentive to all patients in the waiting room.
I had a great experience today at my annual appointment. The team was caring and made what all women know is an uncomfortable experience a much better one.
Im currently at 33 weeks and have been very happy with FABEN so far. Every doctor Ive seen at both their Southside and Downtown office have been friendly and enjoyable. With each appointment Ive never been there longer than an hour, depending on what tests needed to be done. They even worked with me when I changed my insurance to a lower deductible (from 4k to $600) and let me hold off paying my delivery fee until after the 1st of the year. I truly appreciated that as it saved me thousands of dollars. I was upfront with their billing months prior and they were understanding. Being respectful goes a long way!Update: Baby is here and I still cannot say enough good things about FABEN! The staff is fantastic and the doctors are deligent. I am making them my new GYN and look forward to my next pregnancy with them!
I love Dr Mason, she is such an amazing doctor and so down to earth and she does not rush you. Highly recommend!
I’ve been a patient for a couple years and today was my first great experience! Jessica was my gynecologist. She was quick and answered all my questions. Definitely would recommend!
All the doctors and staff at FABEN are great! We saw all the doctors during my pregnancy and had positive experiences with all of them. They listen to what you have to say and any concerns you have. I continue to drive to see them even after moving away. I would absolutely recommend them!
If I could give them less than one star I would. I have been to multiple Faben locations and my experience has been the same every single time. I have never been left in a room waiting for a doctor for less than an hour with Faben, usually it’s more like 3 hours of waiting and I’m not even exaggerating. When I finally see the doctors there they are rude, don’t seem to have any information on me and do not care. Worst doctors office I have ever dealt with, do not use them.
I do not recommend this practice to any woman who would like a close relationship with your doctor and nurses. They treat you like a number and not like a person. I was denied a blood and urine pregnancy test all because I declined a $300 up front cost ultrasound. I expressed I was going through a hardship and I could only afford the blood test and Urine pregnancy test. They declined my appt and stated they will only see me if I make an appt for an ultrasound. Also one time they left me in the room waiting for the doc to come in for 30 mins. Not the waiting room. The room where you change into the robe and they tell you the doc will be right in. Lies. I’ve paid all my balances on time in the past so I do not know why I was declined a blood and urine test. If your looking for good quality prenatal care DO NOT GO HERE
The staff here is amazing! They’re all very kind. The provider, Jessica, took her time and answered all my questions! Highly recommend!
Dr. Caldow is the best OBGYN I’ve ever been to. She takes her time and really cares about her patients. Highly recommend her to anyone.
Please listen to the reviews. This is my first pregnancy and being new to Jacksonville I chose FABEN as my provider. I primarily saw Porter and Fox a couple of times. Being a new mom to be I was not given the ins and outs of pregnancy as I’ve been told by friends and associates who’ve had kids. In May I was experiencing dizziness and weakness and made an appt. I seen Fox and she said it was the food I was eating and to cut sugars. I still continued to feel this way and experience bad headaches which I also mentioned a couple times to Porter but there was no deeper examination to figure it out. I summed it up to be a part of pregnancy. Due to the pregnancy issues I’ve been experiencing, I lost my job at the end of July along with my benefits. A couple weeks ago I had an extreme case of fatigue from simply washing dishes and almost fainted. I went to the ER and after numerous tests it was discovered I was anemic. I looked at my portal and checked blood work from May and my hemoglobin was low the entire time and it was overlooked by these doctors. I never felt the need to look at them because I trusted they knew best and were doing their jobs. This could’ve greatly harmed me and my unborn child. The symptoms of anemia affected my work performance and cost me my job which I fault my doctors for. Now they’ve dropped me because I no longer have insurance and would have to self pay the duration of my pregnancy. I am now on the hunt for a new doctor that will accept the state funded insurance I have to take at 6 months of pregnancy being it will be extremely hard for me to find work at this stage. I am beyond frustrated and stressed. DO NOT CHOOSE FABEN!!
I moved recently from Atl and needed a GYN. This place came as a recommendation. My first visit was impersonal from the staff and I waited forever for Dr Fox. Once I met her she was awesome and very detailed about what I needed. I chose to move forward with my procedure due to how much she was caring and attentive. After my procedure(no insurance, paid thousands completely out of pocket)went to my post-op visit and I wasnt told I owed anything and then a month later received a bill. I immediately called to ask why this wasnt included in the initial fee knowing I dont have INS and knowing theres always a post-op surgery visit. No one could answer that, they just apologized and said I still owe this amount. Its safe to say I will not be returning. Very unprofessional from one medical professional to another.
If you want get dropped as a patient in your third trimester, this is the place for you. I started my prenatal care here in March. Went to every appointment and billed my insurance accordingly. But somehow they failed to disclose that Baptist Health does not take my insurance. In the their word, I slipped through the cracks. So I changed my insurance plan to Florida Blue Select to Aetna, called to get back on the schedule, and they tell me I need to get re-approved by a doctor I havent seen for my entire prenatal care (Porter). The next day, I got voicemail saying I was denied with no explanation or reason! This stressed me out significantly! It took three days of calling this Rachel person that the nursing dept. keeps sending me to, but no one can tell me her role. In addition, they were incredibly rude and blatantly lied to me stating that she was the only one that help. ( wish I remembered her name, but I know voice)I called the appointment dept. pleading for assistance and God bless her, Shanitha, I think, actually took the time to hear me and get her manager involved. She actually knows the definition of patient care. Finally, I was advised by the office manager that Faben was at capacity and I would have to find somewhere else to finish my care. How does that make sense? I missed my August appointment because of your office neglect and now I had to be penalized and dropped as a patient in my THIRD TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY! I will never go back there. How can you treat a pregnant woman like this? After much searching, I found a way better Obgyn, that allows my partner in the appointments and the people are so much kinder. Good luck to the current patients there.
Completely unprofessional and dishonest! My wife was dropped from their care for refusing to get a voluntary test! Wasnt even informed of the test until an hour after leaving the appointment because Danielle Key, one of the nurse practitioners, failed to mention it in person. Additionally, that same appointment my wife had an extremely rude ultrasound technician who asked my wife to remove her pants with no cover and also LIED about our baby appearing to be fine but was later informed by the nurse practitioner the ultrasound tech was unable to see our babys heart, legs, gender, hands and feet. My wife was 20 weeks along at this point and the ultrasound technician should have seen ALL of the items missed above! For this reason, my wife was referred to ROC for an echocardiogram and further evaluation. Upon arrival to ROC two weeks later, she was informed no referral came in from Faben for an echocardiogram. We have tried contacting Faben for weeks now to get further explanation as to why she was dropped and to tell our side of the story but Sabrina, who is apparently the only patient liasion at Faben, has yet to contact us back after recieving numerous messages and voice-mails. No other manager or anyone for that matter has contacted us back. Stay away from Faben at ALL cost!!! Recommend you read all their reviews on different social outlets and online to see for yourselves. Their average rating is under 3 stars (out of 5)...
The staff is very unprofessional. There is a lack of ownership and accountability when trying to assist patients with questions. I had a simple inquiry and it took almost a month for someone to provide an answer. A patient should not have to call 5 times in the course of a month to constantly hear Oh theres no notes on your account or Oh I see Queenie was the last person you talked to, Im going to have her reach out to you or Im going to have someone in Billing follow-up with you.I wouldnt recommend the Southside office to anyone.
When you expect to come to an OB/GYN office you at least expect common courtesy and sympathy . the customer service is so poor, the Front desk Rep is rude and didn’t show a ounce of empathy. I only had one phone call with them my doctors office referred me to them for a OB/GYN clinic. And the first 30 seconds the rep didn’t care no empathy didn’t show any kind of interest. I just had a question to see if I was able to do a payment plan because of personal reasons I wasn’t able to make the full payment in full . her attitude was like nope oh well that’s not my problem. And kept one wording me. you don’t know what people are going through or what people situations are especially pregnant women to be that rude. . First impressions are everything and I will never go to this office.
For the past few months I’ve gone to so many different places trying to get answers to help me but had no luck. Right when I was seen by Dr. Caldow she immediately knew what was going on and was beyond reassuring. I will never go anywhere else again. Thank you guys for all you do!
These group of OB doctors are really good, very prompt to attend your concerns and friendly at the same time, staff is also great. I have only seen 3 of the doctors but I most definitely recommend seeing Dr. Bettina Kohaut, she is wonderful, hands down, she loves what she does and you can see it with the level of compassion she shares with you when in the room, she treats you as a human being rather than a price tag, she always follows up with you and takes the time to explain, she will actually look at your problem after you are done explaining your situation. On my own experience, on our last visit, we needed to check the babys heart beat, we have a 5 year old daughter, and Dr. Kohaut used her assistance to find the heart, she took the time to interact with our daughter as well, to make her involved, she is just an amazing Dr. and person. Changing all my appointments with her when she is available at the Southpoint location. Thank you very much Dr Bettina 😀
Everyone is always nice. Dr Trotter is wonderful. Im glad to have her as my doctor.
This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a GYN visit. This was my first time going to Faben and I’m so glad I didn’t read the reviews here first or I probably would have gone elsewhere. Dr. Kohaut was fantastic and answered all my questions no problem. I usually leave feeling awkward and with unanswered questions but not here. I strongly recommend this group to anyone looking for a good experience.
Dr. Fox and Faben OBGYN are amazing! I’ve been going to their practice for over 12 years now! I’ve had nothing but positive experiences. Keep up the great work ladies!
In response to your response:Your message sounds authentic but unfortunately certain individuals who are seeking your care arent experiencing any of that. Saying is doing If it were a question of quality care for the patient you wouldnt drop them without warning nor provide referrals to these professionals that you say can serve them better. So excuse me but my original post still stands true. It was very unprofessional and uncaring the way my friend was treated. They are the worst. They care more about saving face then actual medical care. They dropped my friends prenatal care because she is high risk and over weight. I wouldnt recommend them to any women looking for quality care and professionalism. Shame on you!
Tammy(Manager of billing dept.)and the whole billing department is unreasonable. They are nasty & doesnt know how to speak to customers. Im pretty sure if it wasnt for the great doctors at FABEN that the billing department would run ALL the patients away. I was told that that are not setting up any payment arrangements due to the Corona Virus & that they needed all the money upfront even after me trying to explain during the pandemic that I couldnt afford to pay what they were asking. The Manager of the billing department told the rep that was on the line with me that if I couldnt pay over $300 then call them back when I can. And I was trying to make an appointment concerning a serious health issues. Ive Never experienced the LEVEL of rudeness ever in life until I started coming to FABEN. They dont answer the phones, And on rare occasions when they do answer they answer with such attitudes!!! It unbelievable how this company is still standing. WHO doesnt have something in place for patients who been affected by the Pandemic this year. FABEN!!!!!
Idk why there are so many negative reviews! Everyone was very friendly and professional. From the receptionist to the nurses and even the doctor treated me with respect and listened to all my concerns. I wish all gynos were like this one! Very efficient, didn’t have to wait long at all for the whole appointment, but also wasn’t rushed through things either.
Always warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them. I sent my sister in law and she had both her babies with them too. They are the best!
I don’t understand the bad reviews. I’ve delivered 2 of my 3 children using Faben and it’s been wonderful. Women treating women! Every pregnancy is different and I happen to be a “high risk” pregnancy due to blood clots and they were all still wonderful! They recommend I see a high risk OB in addition to them and I did for a while, but it got too expensive so I opted to just see Faben. They didn’t agree, but it’s the patients right to choose and they respected that.I wouldn’t go anywhere else but Faben. Yes, wait times can be long because OB appointments take a while and they spend time in the room with you. And if your insurance isn’t good, copays will be a lot, but that’s not Fabens fault.Ignore the bad reviews and give them a try! I’m glad I did :)
The staff @FABEN were kind and caring during a very confusing and frightening time. I appreciate every person I met, but unfortunately my concerns were unable to be resolved which for the situation, was reasonable.
They are very caring and professional. They always make sure Im comfortable and are thorough with every question I have. I have gone to them only a few times but have always felt safe here.
I do not even give one star to this facility. They have the worst billing department ever that I see. They charged more then 2k before the baby was born by saying that it is their company rule. But I had friends who went to same facility and did not charged any thing like this before the baby was born. But they kept saying I had to pay it otherwise they would not see my wife. So I paid. It seems like they claimed to insurance company and insurance company paid them most of their claim. Which means the money that they got it before was not necessary. But they did not reach me or told me anything. Even I took my wife twice to that place 5 and 6 months after baby was born. They still charged money for those visits and did not even tell me that they have money that they owe me. Later I got a bill from hospital and wanted to check my insurance claims and saw that I overpaid them. I called them and asked for the money. On that time they accepted that they took more that what I supposed to pay. They also said it was my fault to not to let them know that they owe money. Now they sent a check and the lady said that it would take 30 days to reach me! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYBODY! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY
My experience at FABEN was great. The staff was very friendly and my OBGYN was thorough and made sure I was comfortable. I would recommend FABEN to my friends and family.
Ive had great experiences with the doctors at this practice for 5+ years. They always allow sufficient time for questions during my appointments, are knowledgeable and have excellent bedside manner.
When I first started going to this practice I was about 16 weeks along in my pregnancy. I was coming from a terrible office in yulee, FL.. so coming here I was very excited to have a new doctor. At first I was treated phenomely! It wasnt ever a long wait, they were catching me up in treatments that my old doctor lacked in doing for me, and I felt reassured. Now Im 30 weeks along and the last 2 appointments have been... uh... questionable. Im not sure if the staff communicates with eachother or not because Ill get phone calls trying to set up an appointment when I literally just set one up the day before or have an appointment literally the next day... or the woman at the front desk will be unsure of what Ill be getting done on my appointment. They also messed up my lab results somehow someway for my glucose test so I had to do it twice. The second time around the woman who took my blood asked me if my name was the name on the tube and I realized they didnt ask me that last time. Unorganized maybe??? Also I have tricare insurance and I shouldnt be paying upfront for a circumcision yet they keep telling me I have to pay it regardless and that Ill get the money back ... then why make me pay it ????I also have a few issues in my pregnancy so they have to keep a closer eye on my baby, meaning ultrasounds every visit... But at my last visit they didnt give me one since I was redoing my glucose test due to their mistake. At the end of my appointment, the lady at the checkout desk was confused in why I didnt get a ultrasound. Clearly theres no communication amongst the staff.Would I recommend this office? You tell me.
This is hands down the best obgyn experience I have ever had in my 47 years of life. Thank you for your kindness and gentleness and your willingness to listen. I felt heard, not judged ,and taken care of. I look forward to continuing a long relationship with your practice.
Everyone is very friendly and helps the best they can. Never anxious to go to the obgyn and never scared anymore, they make the appt relaxing and non stressful.
Everyone was very nice. The results of the test was explained and offered options to help or resolve issue. Very happy with the service.
I’ve seen Dr Caccum for many years she’s very thorough and will take her time with you to answer any questions you have. I recommend this office they are all very nice and professional.
My experience here was a hit and miss most of the time, the staff were kind and some of the doctors were great. The only thing I didnt like was Dr. Mormak, she doesnt have not one kind bone in her body. I would have had my baby at home with my husband helping before I ever let her touch me again. Horrible experience with her!!!!!
I am not the patient here but faben doesnt care about anyones time. We had an appointment at 2:30pm at the southpoint office and waited for over an hour to get called for the ultrasound. Meanwhile we got jumped ahead by another couple who came in after us. I also have to mention that the downtown office didnt label the blood they drew from my wife correctly so she had to go again for that. Overall this is a very poor practice and for future pregnancies we are going to the many alternatives
Always I feel comfortable with them! Thanks for everything and Dr. Mason is amazing.
This is a mixed review, because there were things I liked and didn’t like about the practice but ultimately I left about halfway through my pregnancy and found a different doctor group I felt more comfortable with.I’ll start on the positive: extremely clean and updated facilities, great online portal system and communication, very nice ultrasound technicians and for the most part the doctors were very kind (while meetings were brief, I’ll get to that next). Now the negative: it is a big practice and I personally felt like just a number. This is my first pregnancy and came in with lots of questions, concerns, etc and always felt rushed and that my long list of questions was more of an annoyance than anything. One doctor actually dismissed some research I had done as “hogwash” shaking her head as I was speaking. I felt incredibly unheard and dismissed. She went on to say that I had probably learned this from mom blogs and that everyone loves to share their birth story, this wasn’t the case as I had done research on birthing techniques from speaking to my doula, taking webinars, and reading Mayo Clinic books. If they were this dismissive in meetings, imagine how they would be during the actual birth. They were extremely cavalier when I asked about their C section rate just stating that if it has to happen women are generally happy because it saves baby but yes it happens very frequently. One thing important to know in their practice is you can only give birth when it’s time for the baby to come on your back with your legs in stirrups. This is fairly common with doctor/ hospital practices I’ve learned, however it is not necessarily the most comfortable for mothers or the most effective for getting the baby out. While being in a hospital to deliver was important to me I found a doctor group that has 2 doctors and 2 midwives and you can labor and push in any position that is healthy and comfortable for you and baby.I implore women to do research and not just take what the doctor says as law. I’m incredibly happy I switched practices and feel so much more confident leading up to my birth now.
All the staff and doctors are very sincere, and kind. They are always open for questions and provide great advice. I always feel comfortable and welcomed.
Dr. Brittney Mason was amazing, professional, knowledgeable, took my anxiety away, and very pleasant to speak too.
Dr. Mason thoroughly answered all my questions and never acted rushed. She made me feel comfortable and listened to and offered me options.
Ive been coming to Faben for a few years and have been to two different locations. Very nice places. The staff are always super friendly.
Perfect service and expert team, the staff here are so familiar and friendly they provide all the necessary support and information and the most important thing they are smiling all the time..
I’d like to start by saying the Doctors I’ve come across were nice especially Dr. porter & Dr. Fox the other one I can’t remember her name but I haven’t had a issue with them, however the nurses/ whoever answers the phone are just not friendly.starting from the top I’m a FTM and I expected the drs to give me information & what to expect and what not to do/ eat because I don’t really know it’s not until about my third appointment where I had to ask. There was also a time where I had to have a telehealth visit which I thought was unnecessary because honestly those questions could’ve been asked at the appointment prior but anyway the time came for the appointment no one called so I had to keep emailing and calling the office (no one answered) to figure everything out, which was frustrating because I took time off to have a 10 minute conversation but I had it make 2-3 hours later. A had a ultrasound tech that didn’t speak at all or explain to me what I was seeing around 10 weeks again I’m a FTM so I just expected them to dumb things down and explan things to me. Also my drs failed to tell me I was considered “high risk” i found out on my patient portal vs from a dr. I ended up changing offices for many reason but mainly because they were a bit unorganized in fact they “lost” some of my blood & they had to redraw it they can’t tell me what happened with it exactly. Something that I also didn’t like is they didn’t let spouses in for even just the ultrasound while my new office does, I’m a first time mom and I just feel like they neglected to explain & treat me as a valued patient. Hope they can do better.
THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! I paid in full all my visits in May and I ended up delivering 4 weeks early. Now they are stating I owen them money but how could this be? What happened to those 4 visits? I have given them multiples calls and NO ONE!!! has called me back with an answer. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! THEY OVER CHARGE AND THEY DO NOT PAY BACK
The staff is super friendly and efficient. I love Dr. Fox. She is so personable, down to earth and straight forward. Shes awesome!!
It’s very comfortable having women checking women. The staff and doctorwe’re all extremely nice and helpful. Thank goodness I found this practice.
Wonderful, Kate at the front was wonderful. I absolutely Loved Doctor Logan. Very easy to talk to. Great bed side manners.
Very poor customer service and ommitting information about services prices. Only communicated with me when it involved getting money from me, but when I needed to speak with someone I was ignored for over two weeks. Also with services provided I got no actual diagnostics, just suggestions to have more procedures done. Again, only money oriented. Do not recommend unless you want to add stress and headache to your life.
This OB/GYN is extremely unprofessional from the staff and down to Dr. Mormack. The staff is rude! They NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE! Wait time is absolutely ridiculous! And you are asked every time, what you are here for whenever you go inside of the office! It seems like nobody’s ever on the same page here! I have had to wait two hours before because somehow my appointment was not in the computer AFTER I checked in AND want in the back. Me and my husband are having issues getting pregnant, that’s why I went to this office! I was advised that they can do three cycles Then they will send me to a fertility specialist. I was diagnosed with PCOS by Dr. Mormack however every time I went to a appointment Dr.Mormack kept bringing up my weight, Which made me very anxious and very nervous to go to my appointments because I knew she would bring up my weight! Even with all the red flags and feeling the way I did! We went and started our first cycle , I had a extremely good follicle my first cycle however due to Dr.Mormack not sending my prescription for my hCG shot, and the office not answering their phones I was not able to advise anybody of that until my cycle day 12 appointment. When I brought it up to Dr.Mormack , she was annoyed with me and of course I was blamed for her mistake! So my first cycle and my follicle went down the drain because I didn’t have what I needed to possibly have a better outcome! Cycle number two I had no good follicles, and the 3ed cycle that I actually used my hCG shot for I unfortunately didn’t end up pregnant! I feel like she should have it done it 2 more times due to the fact that I only used my hCG shot for one cycle. I didn’t get my three cycles like I was advised in the beginning of this whole process. At my last appointment she told me if I don’t end up pregnant this cycle she’s going to send me to a specialist, I was very upset about that because if I had the money I would have went to a specialist from the beginning and not her! After my last cycle there was no follow up or anything. Due to this being a ALL female OB/GYN office I thought there would be a bit more understanding and more compassion when it comes to women having difficulties with fertility, but unfortunately I was completely wrong and it was the complete opposite. I must say I did have one inquire with Dr.Fox and she is amazing I wish that it was a possibility for me just to see her instead of seeing Dr.Mormack I feel like she is a more understanding versus the rest of the office !
Love Faben Ob/Gyn. Staff is very professional. Service provide by the physicians are excellent. Listening too you. Great Office
Dr.Mason is absolutely wonderful, she took her time, listened to my symptoms and was very thorough making sure everything was well understood!
Faben Obgyn is a money hungry practice to say the least. They charge insurances using which ever method that will financially benefit them the most. They even make their patients pay for services such as circumcision for newborns out of pocket even if your insurance covers it and leave it up to you t go through your insurance to get reimbursed. Not only is this practice money hungry they arent quite honest as well. When I first started seeking prenatal care I specifically asked about their views regarding VBACS since my situation was a little different before being that my last delivery was vaginal although before that I had 2 prev C sections. The first Dr. I saw told me that basically if she was the one delivering that day as long as baby and I were fine she wouldnt mind me trying for a vaginal again. The second Dr. I saw basically told me that it wasnt up to them but up to the hospital and their policy. Well I contacted the hospital and as I figured the hospital stated it was up to my Dr. to make that call. So then I see a 3rd Dr. and she basically stated that a Vbac was out the question but instead of scheduling at 39 weeks they could wait till 40 weeks and see if I go into labor on my own. The only thing I can say about the 3rd Dr. I saw which was Dr. Hicks was at least she was honest..she did not lead me to believe that they would be willing to try a Vbac but just flat out told me that was not an option. Your doctor(s) are suppose to be trustworthy people not deceitful and to be honest this practice is full of deceitful Doctors. There was also a incident with one of their MAs/nurses.. I went in to take my glucose tolerance test and that morning I was drinking a smoothie.. The MA/nurse came and said I had to reschedule because of this when I told her that no one told me that I could not eat/drink before the test She had the nerve to reply But you have other kids. That was so unprofessional!! Especially since its their job to inform their patients about specific instructions when it comes to any lab test or procedure. Also I would make sure you check your visit notes for each visit, there was a time were the wrong vitals were inputted for my vitals. I understand completely that this is their career and its ok to be about your money but you should at least ACT like you care about your patients. Im just happy to say that after wasting my time and money with this practice I was able to find a trustworthy, caring, VBAC friendly doctor/practice!! I switched at 33 weeks, so ladies just know if you dont feel comfortable with your current provider its never too late to try and switch!!
The best Gynecologist office I have ever been too. The entire staff is great and I’ll definitely be making this my primary gynecologist.
I only have good things to say about this group. Ive loved all the doctors Ive met. Majority of my appointments Ive been seen on time or even taken back early. When Ive had questions after hours or on weekends, Ive left a message and had my call returned in a timely manner. The new location is beautiful! This was my post prior to delivery. As my due date approached and baby grew, we decided to induce because she was measuring on the larger side. My husband and I checked into Baptist and everything went pretty smoothe. We started with cervadil to ripen my cervix and hours later, got an epidural. About 8-9 hours in to the 12 hour medicine, the babys heart rate began a roller coaster ride. The RN ended up stopping it a few hours early because baby just wasnt tolerating it well. Dr. Caldow came in after and we spoke about possibly doing an elective c-section. I was really against it initially but told her i would do whats best for my baby. We decided on trying the pitocin and just seeing how things went. Baby did well with the pitocin but as we got more dilated, it seemed the epidural stopped working and I was in a lot of pain. After another 10 hours or so of pitocin, we FINALLY get to 10 cm about 9 pm the day after our check-in. The RN calls Dr. Caldow who apparently had just gone in on an emergency c-section. We were told we could NOT push and the pitocin infusion was STOPPED. The RN assured us that c-sections generally are short and it shouldnt effect our progress. Hours pass as my contraction strength dwindles. Approx 1 am the nurse returns and says she got the ok to continue. Pitocin is started AGAIN at the lowest amount and works its way back up to the amount we ended at. For nearly 3 hours I push, never once seeing Dr. Caldow nearly 16 hours previously. Suddenly, babys heart rate is dropping then unable to be detected by 2 nurses. Dr. Caldow was paged once it dropped and guess what, SHES AT HOME. When she finally arrives, she checks baby and decides we need to do an emergency C-section. I am rushed to the OR. Quickly I am cleaned and drapped and anesthesia works on my spinal tap. Unable to get me numb (I feel the first cuts) they quickly put me under and intubated. An hour goes by as my husband and family sit wondering if baby and I are alive. No one updates them, not even Dr. Caldow after she finished my surgery. Finally baby is handed to dad and hes told by a nurse Im still being worked on. After 2 hours, I am finally wheeled to recovery when Im pale as a ghost and shaking uncontrollably. Never once does Dr. Caldow check on me or speak to us about what had happened. Baby had a low apgar score but was doing ok. Post discharge I review my records through baptist and notice my hemoglobin levels were extremely low and really should have received a blood transfusion. I was never treated for my blood loss nor notified of it. When I met with Dr. Caldow for my post partum care, I began to question her about my experience. SHE DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHO I WAS. Why are you seeing me post-op with not even checking my record???? I work in a hospital and see patients and I would never do that without knowing their medical history, otherwise things get MISSED. I truly believe she could have killed me and my baby with her negligence. I delivered 7 months ago and still to this day am traumatized by this experince. I wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to deliver here!
Dr. Fox takes time to listen to her patients and offers wise and thoughtful medical advice. I feel heard!
Clean place , and very comfortable. The doctors and staff care and show genuine concern for your health . Its affordable as well for such a nice place and attentive staff . They definitely get you taken care of
Very friendly staff. Very informative. I was a nervous wreck but they made me feel welcomed. They were quick and efficient. I highly recommend them and I’ll continue to use them.
Went in for some issues prescribed a method of treatment once she found out I was self pay she negated a procedure three rounds of different antibiotics still have same issues. Asked about procedure she negated she said, “it’s not the next step in treatment it’s really just an old wives tale.” smirks and grins like my condition is amusing caddy ass women. Found new gynecologist of all things a man who actually cares and is old enough in the game to know what he’s talking about not a script of how to over charge insurance for made up procedures.
Love my first visit with Dr Fox and can’t wait for my blood work to come back for my follow up appt.
Thanks for making my visit very comfortable. I love the atmosphere here. The nurse made me feel relaxed and I appreciate it the information that was giving to me.
Would give 0 stars if that was an option. Horrible doctors. Just because you don’t fit in their perfect pregnancy box they will drop you like a bad habit. All the doctors here are bourgeoise and picky and if you aren’t their perfect pregnancy candidate they just leave you high and dry. This is my first pregnancy and would not recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love my docs office.Everyone is so nice & friendly.
I am a 69 year old woman that was really upset about some clinical Labs I had and and the medication that I was given for it I was really afraid to use it because it being what it was Dr Mason explain to me very well on what the condition was what it really meant it wasnt scary as I made it out to be when she set my mind at ease and Im very grateful
They are always professional and very polite. It’s easy to book an appointment and they don’t make you wait long . Their online is amazing .
I love a doctor who take me on my appointment time and respect my time as I respect theirs. The office staff is friendly and the office is clean.
I have been a patient for almost 9 years and my care has been outstanding especially Dr Porter and Dr K. I highly recommend for all OBGYN needs.
The staff in the doctor is absolutely Wonderful, what a great team. Answer all my questions, thank you so much.
Very careless and incompetent group. Jennifer Porter did a terrible job of repairing my lacerations after delivery. When I went in because of complications from it, she dismissed my concerns and tried to fool me into thinking there was nothing wrong. Well I sought a second opinion and of course had to have surgery to undo the damage that she had done. That’s only one of the horror stories. Please stay away from this group.
Great staff!! Friendly. Dr Porter is an outstanding Dr!!! She takes time to listen to her patients. 😊 Thank you Dr. Porter and staff.
If you are a single mom without the ability to find care for your child do not come here. They will turn you away even if you have a little one. I drove 35 minutes to this facility only to be turned away.
Amazing group. My doctor is Dr. Kristin Caldow. Office is inviting, questions answered, very comfortable and staff was helpful and curious.
Ive been coming here for years. Each person Ive dealt with has been extremely kind and always keeps my private issues private.
Staff always friendly and establishment is clean. Im never too long with my appointments and I like that!

Dr.Hugh and her team is amazing. I love the way she has a genuine passion for her patients and her profession.
I’ve been going to Faben for 5 years and had my son with them. I primarily see Dr. Caldow and would recommend her and the office to anyone!
If i could give 0 stars, I would. Thanks for canceling my appt 2 days before knowing that I had made special accommodations and used all of sick leave and PTO in order to be in Jacksonville for this appt. Thanks for telling me to have a nice day as I was sobbing on the phone asking what other options might be available to me and hanging up on me.
Wonderfull places , friendly and all the time you received attention . I appreciate to the Dr Ana Hicks for to be alert with my test result and this saved my live . Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
