I absolutely love it here. It’s so rare to go to a doctors office and have a perfect experience. The front office staff is always so kind, patient and helpful. And Sheryl is great, takes the time to listen to your opinions on your health and really cares about how you feel. I haven’t experienced this before and I’m so happy a good office still exist. Even the lab lady is wonderful. So happy to find this place.
Always been a plesant experience from the beginning when i first met Dr.DeShazo and then was sad to see that he was retiring. But still continue to go there and that is where i met Onyx Reed she is very caring and understanding and professional and very hard working. Will take the time to listen to you and help you with your problem or find someone that will be able to help you with it if she is not able to. Kudos to her and the team there . They have always been reliable and consistent. And also to mention Tina Alicea the manager who has been awesome .
I tried to coordinate with them upon receiving a breast pump for my newborn, but they inadequately filled out the required paperwork. They even submitted incorrect information, resulting in an invalidated insurance coverage claim and I could not receive pump to feed my baby. It is so upsetting because their lack of care, urgency and attention to detail has put me in a position to where I now have no choice but to purchase a pump out of pocket; when my insurance is supposed to cover it for free. Find a more competent doctor and office team to serve you and your families.
I am a new patient for this office. I was seen by Sheryl Kaboud NP. Let me tell you!!! She is amazing. She listens to all my concerns and ordered test that I needed. She is very professional and has great bedside manners. She showed me that she cared about my concerns and health. She also was not in a rush and sat down listening to me. She is wonderful and I recommend her to anyone that is looking for a great healthcare professional. She is amazing and caring. Very knowledgeable, kind, and sweet. Thank you for caring for your patients!!! I am happy I found you as my primary provider.

I trust him and I will always admire his bedside manners with myself and my friends and family ! Now that he has a new staff and office manager ( Tina) everyone is much more helpful and friendly ! First of all, the front desk staff is awesome. But, my Dr. was not. She spent less than 5 minutes with me in our first session. Then, she did not show up for a telehealth appointment which left me calling the office 1.5 hours after it was scheduled to track down where she was. This is not an acceptable level of care from a professional healthcare service and shows a complete disregard for a patients time. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because of the front desk staff. Do not go here.
This office is the biggest waste of time and money! They had us believing we had cancer and needed I biopsy. It took 8 months to schedule due to this office’s lack of communication. All other office responded to safe harbor and they didn’t care or tell us. They wanted our money and to scare us.The worst part is that the CEO Tina had the audacity to come out and speak to me in the PUBLIC LOBBY about a negative review of the situation. We went to the biopsy apt a month later and they told us the radiologist recommended no biopsy and that the primary care provider should have told us. They didn’t know why the primary care let us make the apt. The review was spot on and she tried to blame it on LV radiology and Steinberg diagnostic to make them look like the problem.This place has poor communication and should only be gone too if you are willing to loose your life and money. And if you want the CEO to blame everyone else and narrate you about it in the lobby of their offices…..
Michelle Pierson NP took so much time with me and my husband for new primary care going over all of our needs. We feel blessed to have found her. The office staff is so nice and pleasant. Its so refreshing getting such good care after getting sub par care from our previous primary care provider.
Tina, the office manager, has to be the most rudest and condescending person Ive spoken to or interacted with in a very long time. I emailed the office today requesting paperwork for the EFMP program and was told Id need to pay $50 for paperwork. She spoke to me in such a degrading way and stated, We cant talk about filling out your paperwork unless you pay your $250 balance. RUDE! I explained to her that I hadnt received any information from the office or EOB from my Insurance company. She said so many people tell her the same thing to avoid paying a bill. Im a nurse, and my husband is a Master Sargent in the Air Force. I am not in the business of lying about paying a bill. She was disgustingly rude, and while I LOVE Onyx Reed, I will not return to this clinic until Tina is gone. She is absolutely vile and disgusting. She needs to be fired. I ended up calling my Insurance Company on the phone and merged her into the call. They informed Tina that she has not been submitting my claims correctly, and two claims they didnt even see on their end. They are supposed to input my husbands information since he is the sponsor, but they erroneously submitted mine. I also inquired about the EOB, which my insurance company said they would send to me via mail since they were all currently electronic. Tina didnt even apologize. She was above and beyond rude for no reason at all. I was telling her the truth and she degraded me. Horrible management! As a previous clinic and urgent care manager, I wouldve never handled a patient like this, EVER! Patients run! They were literally trying to take $250 from me for no reason at all. I always pay my $24 co-pay, but that should be all that Im paying my PCP. Theres no way I should owe anyone $250 with Tricare.
Got an MRI and ultrasound for a lump in my neck in October. Was referred for a Biopsy. The Biopsy office has requested information and faxed them several times they never send the complete information. I call them and leave voicemails no one ever calls me back. I was referred to get a biopsy in October it is now January and this medical office still doesnt care and wont send over the images. If I end up having cancer im going to spend all my money on a lawyer if it could have been found sooner due to medical negligence.
I’ve been going to Harbor Medical for 15+ years. I’ve been a patients of Doctor Garry and now Onyx since Dr Gary’s retirement. The staff is friendly for the most part. Yolanda has been there for a very long time and is caring to us patients. I hope they take good care of her and she sticks around for a long time.
Not the same without Dr D. Went in with chronic cough voice loss for over a month… NP didn’t even bother look in my ears nose or throat… you know… what doctors do… I wrote a timeline of what happened and what drugs urgent cares have prescribed me… the NP rolls her eyes and says “ do you want me to write these scripts or not??” (Referring to all my old scripts). I replied… well don’t you want to figure out what’s wrong with me before you write those? If you need real medical help I suggest you go else where… if you want someone to write you scripts, this is your place. Just for clarification it was not Dr.Reed (she’s actually really nice).
Ive been going to Safe Harbor Medical for 20 years. Dr Gary DeShazo unexpectedly retired about 6 months ago. He was a really good Doctor and I miss him. Luckily Onyx Reed took his place. She is a very caring person and a really great healthcare provider. Im so glad I dont have to run around looking for a new Doctor. The transition from Dr DeShazo to Onyx Reed has been pretty much seamless. I really appreciate the care she has given me since Dr. DeShazo suddenly left. I feel very fortunate to have found her. It isnt very easy to find a good Doctor with the kind of caring qualities most people would like them to have here in Las Vegas or anywhere for that matter.😚
The staff are friendly, but my two complaints are that the billing was incorrect more than once and I was not called for telehealth appointments on two separate appointments. I chose to find another provider.
I have been a patient of Dr. Gary DeShazo for many years, along with my husband, son, grandson and granddaughter. We have all found great comfort in Dr. DeShazo and since his retirement have adjusted very well with the staff who are employed at Safe Harbor. This clinic is extremely clean and run with the upmost of care from all who work there.
Horrible place to go..went to see my PCP after emergency visit for my hear almost 3 weeks ago and still havent processed my referrals correctly and left them 5 calls with messages and even emailed 3 times with no response in over 2 weeks this place fell apart would not recommend i am now looking for a new office. I would never go back.if i could give 0 stars i would i ended up back in for emergency visit do to my bp 180/115 and they told this time they would get me in how horrible of an experience. And emergency visit because they couldnt process my paperwork correctly and put my life at risk.good job there. Please go somewhere else if you want good health care.
Was out of medication because the office closes if there aren’t booked appointments and the 2x I went there they were closed, didn’t return 1 message I left, didn’t return 2 CVS messages for refill. Tele Doc appointment was the only way I was told, last Thursday. Appointment was scheduled for Tuesday 5:40pm. Waited and waited. They didn’t call. I was out of medication for over 5 days. That’s not good.
This is a grip pod nurses posing as physicians. They have poor clinical experience and judgement. Save yourself the time and visit real physicians offices.
Was so lucky to get Onyx, she is so amazing and that is hard to say about here in Vegas. HIGHLY recommend her, she is so detailed and thorough and really listens and cares about what you need. Not to mention the front desk girl is super helpful and professional!!
If there was a 0 star rating, I would have clicked that one! 0/10 highly do not recommend. These people are rude and unprofessional. The people at the front desk are not kind what so ever, and will mumble things about you under their breath like you can’t hear them. The billing lady is 10 times worst, does not care to be bothered, and when she is she responds by slamming your items all around the office, huffing and puffing, rolling her eyes at you and shoving things back to you in your face! They talk crazy to their patients, and don’t even deserve the one star. I sat in the waiting room with tears in my eyes due to how poorly I was treated. Every time I come here there is an issue. After being brought to the back I have been waiting here for 45 minutes just waiting to be seen. Fortunately I have been able to find another primary care physician and this will be my last visit here! Spare yourself the stress.
The office can not get an appointment right for me . I have the appointment card the girl gave me when I checked out , it says 4/13/23. They texted me that my appointment was last week . Now today I was informed it was a telehralth appointment, it was for a doctors visit . This is the third time my appointment was changed from my original appointment . I hope it’s only me that they are confusing appointments with
Dont joke with your patients health. Front desks very rude. Dr R dont care about the patients, not paying attention with time. Dont care about how her previous patients or checking on them or during Telehealth or the promised email for recommendations to other DR. Unreliable. Find someone else to put your health a priority because its not in this place.
Totally agree with the other 1 star review here... The doctor we really liked but the staff here.... Step up your customer service!The staff here are not helping each other out but rathing pushing responsibilities on to another. My family member has been waiting for a medication for over half a year!?! Everytime we called they said they were gonna solve the issue but they never did... And after I called multiple times, they just said They person you talked to last time is not here. Ill let him call you back tomorrow. Im like wait what?! Arent the patient records all sitting right there in the office?! Why the hack do I need to talk to a specific person just for something that you all should know? AND GUESS WHAT?? No phone call the next day, or ever.Luckily we dont live too far from them, so I started driving by couple of times just so that they might take it more seriously. And now they are just making promises that they would never fulfill. More than 2 months have past since the first day I personally came to talk to them, and yet still no medication, or even the reason why.
Dr. D. is a true professional with a straightforward approach. He takes a sincere interest in what you have to say which seems to be becoming a rare trait in the healthcare industry. I typically only see him for annual check-ups but he always remembers me and greets me with a smile and a handshake. I highly recommend him and his office to anyone looking for medical care.
I have seen Gary DeShazo literally there does not exist a Dr. with a better bed side manner and who really cares for his patients really...He remembers everything about and its not fake its genuineI have been seeing him for 20 plus years. Because he cares and listens expect to wait a while to see him in the waiting room. I almost didnt even want to get on here because I dont want him to have more patients. He is good and you wait for a Dr. To really listen to you and care.

Ive worked in the medical field for 7 years and NEVER been SO DISRESPECTED over the phone !!!!!!!STEP UP YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!I was calling this office because my medical office needed medical records on a mutual patient we were treating. Who ever answered the phone was completely rude and stated “WHY CANT YOU CALL QUEST FOR THEM?” never was even interested on which patient i was talking about or even had a heart to even want to help me……i was totally taken back by the tone of voice she used because our medical facility is all about patient care and would do anything and everything for the better interest of the patient and their care BUT this office obviously does not think this way. I hung up because i was so disgusted !Then decided to call back and speak with the office manager (thinking she would care), who apparently is Karen. I proceeded to tell Karen how I work at another office and how disrespected I was on the phone by on of their employees when all i was trying to do was get records. Then Karen, THE PRACTICE MANAGER tells me “how annoying it is that “specialty” offices just call in for records and they are just suppose to drop everything and send records it to us”.Im sorry KAREN but if your office PUT PATIENTS FIRST THEN SENDING RECORDS SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM FOR YOU OR ANYONE! I saw great reviews for this place but just the way they treated me over the phone, there is no way the patients comes first. Obviously they are too busy to care about patient cares and is a PRIME EXAMPLE of why healthcare has such a bad name in Las Vegas !AGAIN STEP UP YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!
