Very disappointed with the lab crew here. My first time I went to get lab work done here, I waited for about 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment before leaving because I was short on time. The medication that I was supposed to pick up at the same time also was not available, and had to be shipped out. I did not receive it until about a week later, and some of the pills were melted together. My most recent appointment was scheduled for today at 3pm. It was 4pm before I even spoke to someone after check-in. There were no shortage of issues with the nurse who was supposed to take my blood. Firstly, she flat out argued with me about what my legal name was. She insisted that the old name on my medicaid (which is in the process of being updated) was the only name she could use. This is absurd for an LGBT clinic. On top of that, she had trouble finding veins on either arm, but insisted that she could do it regardless. When I showed concern over this, she began to argue with me and insisted that it would be fine. Upon showing me the needle she would be using, I realized it was much bigger than any needle I was used to for bloodwork, and it wouldnt work for me. I got into a light argument with her over this, with her repeatedly talking down to me during it, that Id have to just deal with the smallest they had, and that they dont have any baby needles for you. At this point, I got up and left. A total of an hour and a half of waiting only for me to walk out without the blood work complete. But its actually not a problem at all, as it turns out, I can just go do the blood work at my local hospital. When I had asked this over the phone previously (as it is an HOUR AND A HALF drive for me to even get to The Center), I was told that I HAD to do my blood work at this location.
The staff at the center is amazing!! They have all been so thoughtful and supportive during my visits. Each person here truly goes above and beyond for their clients!! Ron and Lucas have been top tier in their service and assistance!! ❤️ love this place, if I could leave 10 stars I would. Thank you for all you do!! This place is filled with love, compassion and judgement free!!
I went to The Center Health office for help and I am so thankful I did. I went in last week because of a personal crisis. I was helped as soon as I walked in. The woman at check in immediately took me in and without a word she knew I wasn’t okay. I felt so safe and comforted. Isabella who tested me was amazing and explained everything. She made me realize I was doing the right thing by getting tested. Shayna the woman at check in saved me by taking me right away because I just wanted to run away and hide. I felt so ashamed and scared walking in but thanks to Shayna and Isabella I felt safe & comforted. I never knew The Center existed I am so thankful I found it. All the staff was great, the experience I will never forget and my heart will always have a spot for Isabella and Shayna.
I had an appointment for 1 oclock that never happened. I showed up on time and had to roast outside with about 4-5 other people waiting until someone could find the key to the front door or to finish their lunch. I never even got to the portion of the test where they draw my blood because they couldnt handle a domestic dispute while my urine and feces cup sits, getting cold, in my hand next to another guy waiting to get an invalid result due to the negligence of the staff. Today is Monday, August 12th, incomplete appointment at 1 pm and I was not shown by anyone on staff today that they are trustworthy with my medical care and/or have any sort of awareness for people who need help.
Ive only been here twice in and out it looks very nice I noticed a cafe inside now that is a huge plus as an entrepreneur I was waiting to see someone and I needed to scan and email some documents and was told they did not have anything like that maybe just a suggestionI will update my review based on my tour of the property soonIn the meantime if you are one of 3.8 million viewers please like & share to support our lgbtq community 🏳️🌈🙏👍🏼
I have used their facilities and services many times. As a straight local I can attest that not once have I ever been uncomfortable with anything there. The staff is exceptional, on point for any issues that may arise with the many people who pass thru their doors daily. Go, check for yourself. I bet you will be very content there no matter your sexual orientation. Also of note, the Rainforest Cafe is closed and the space is now occupied by The JOLT Coffee Co. Although I did not try it yet I did take note of several happy customers.
One of the best resources and the most friendly staff that they actually cares about people.
I love this place. It always feels safe and welcoming inside, including other services hosted at the Center.
I regularly participate in activities for older LGBTQ+ type folks at The Center. These activities help me feel connected with others and avoid the loneliness which is often the fate of older LGBTQ+ type folks.
So thankful for the opportunity to attend Kiande event for womens History Month he had some amazing speakers poets artists such a great turnout and I really enjoyed it I learned some things very heartfelt. Im looking forward to whatever else you have coming upKiande
Great staff tons of programs a great place to chill on a hot day!
Truly impressed with the health center, the staff and the doctors here are wonderful. They are very caring and considerate of your time. Took my 19 yr old daughter here for transgender hormone replacement therapy and couldnt be more happy with the service. Doctor visit, blood work and pharmacy all in the same place!
None yet. I recently moved here from California. I’m thrilled that I found your location!
Great place for activities and clubs. You can even rent out rooms for your own parties or organizational meetings. I wanna rent out a room for band practice. There’s also the Arlene Cooper Clinic attached for sexual health needs for the community. This location is a great resource for health and recreation
Ive been trying to get this appointment for a month, last time there computers were down but that wasnt there fault, the people there are amazing they treat you like your human and under my circumstances I needed that kind of treatment!! The lab ladies need 6 stars since drawing my blood was a chore, all four of them really made me feel welcome.I will not hesitate to ever come to the center for ANY OF MY PROBLEMS! WELL DONE CENTER🥳😍
This place saves 🙌 life and gives people there dignity back that was stolen by the world 🌎
I attended a graduation ceremony. The space was really nice with ample parking.
Chill place to hang out, the cafe closes a little early but there are comfortable places to sit and a small library and internet access. They have events, but for the most part it is just a nice spot to hang around in when you dont have money and just need a space to be.
Hard to say they were closed for the Juneteenth holiday when I arrived.
Beautiful building and great facilities and amenities. That being said, front desk is rude over the phone and laughed and referred me to the Las Vegas TransPride center(which I highly recommend) It seems they have groups for gender diverse people just so they can say they do because they don’t promote any of them on their socials. It’s 2023 no one is checking that outdated website. I was told that they were taking steps to move past the reputation they’ve built as a place that’s not inclusive to the trans community but it’s seems the follow through is still lacking.
Was planning a charity event to raise money there staff made it clear they wanted a MIN of a 500.00 donation or there not interested, any they where not doing or being involved in anything just cash please. Ugh how rude nerver support them.
Everyone was nice, kind and professional!
I love their lending library where I found one of my favorite books turned movie that I read back in HS. I didnt get to check out their cafe but I will next time. Used all the magazines on the right upon entering for my vision board. Super nice staff. Was uncomfortable to use the restrooms. But otherwise a place full of good vibes, and tons of resources.
The entrance during the construction out front is this nondescript door on the ramp
Came in for testing to be safe, Michael was so nice and made accommodations for payments for me after supervisors discretion. I really appreciate them going the extra mile.
A ton of services offered here, lots of parking and staff is always helpful and friendly. Love the gender neutral restrooms here, should be an example for all businesses to follow.
This place is quiet and non-judgemental. It is comfortable and they will allow you to charge all of your electronics. The design inside is very modern and it feels comfortable. The music is constantly playing and the soundtrack is marvelous. the bathrooms are very comfortable and they have a lot of gay friendly activities. I recommend that you go here for a nice relaxing afternoon or day.
I had a lovely experience with Jeffrey! Great person who has been a great help to meI thought he was going to be rude, but it was not the caseI enjoyed the time he took to help me made me feel welcome hereThe volunteers to help you out.
Wow.What a great place this is,I was blessed with some assistance, recently, from this center, and,I certainly appreciated it.Thank you.Namaste
Very pleasant place to visit and informational.
The center is for everyone. It has computeràs. Library the books are aimed towards the lgbtq. They have A. A. A meetings.a mens group. Good place to visit. Only open weekdays. Thats the one thing I Would like to see it open on weekends
Amazing location for community members to meet have medical care, pharmacy services and social gatherings
Honestly the best place to get tested. They make you so comfortable as they ask you uncomfortable questions. I will forever come here to get tested and feel safe and healthy!
What a waste of time. I got different answers from everybody I talked to when I was there and bottom line is they couldnt do much for me. Told me to take a week to get my test results back. Could get a prescription. No provider on site. Where is the girl I went down with God help with everything. Seems like they were looking for an excuse just not to do their job. Like the old saying says you get what you pay for. If you can afford to go to Quality provider I suggest that. This place is for bottom feeders.
I came in as a walk in and they were so sweet about and although the wait was lengthy (my fault i was a walk in) i feel like it was worth it. The staff was so kind and caring. i genuinely felt like i was being cared for thank you .
Always welcoming. Many resources
The people are very nice helpful with information I needed and let me use the Wi-Fi.
Absolutely Amazing Place!! If ever lost and need a little direction this is the perfect place ❤️ & They have so many great resources available too. The Center is seriously a blessing! Thank You for all your guys hard work and dedication! Muah! 😁
1st and 3rd Fridays the food bank is open
The place was Kool as hell ...everyone was nice place was clean other then some bad apples but neverminded them ....
Its just an amazing center the food is great the people are loving and I feel safe there. Its where I love to go to meet new people and I love people. For people in our community its hard to find friends who are just like you. Having this center helps us get to know more people in our LGBT community❤💛💚💙💜.
Im trans. Even at my age my peers are looking for a friendly port in the storm. And baby its stormy out. For me the Center offers a smile, some inciteful knowlege and services I cant get from Medicare. They have programs for all age groups. Regardless of how you express yourself, someone knows how it is for you out on the WorldAnd they have good options to help you thru anything. Look them up if everything is closing in on you. Youre not alone. There IS someone that cares. They were there when I took my first medical trip out of the country because no one would help in the states. They have always been available when trouble found me. Not a fixall for lifes problems but more than that, someone that has Walked a Mile in my Shoes.
I love the fact they give food 1st n 3rd FridayI appreciate all of the volunteers hard work
❤️❤️❤️Such an amazing place to visit. Great resources and your fingertips. Everyone there seems warm, welcoming and friendly. Everyone is accepted Gay, Straight, black or white crazy or sane. Check them out you won’t be disappointed ❤️❤️❤️
Great placeMany resources
Talented, caring and helpful staff providing vital community services in a welcoming and loving environment. I feel at home from the time I walk in the door.
This place is one of the best places to go for anyone that is a part of the LGBQI2 community. So many differrent programs and so many caring people. It is also a great place to meet new and exciting people. There are so many different groups that you can attend. The center is a safe place for anyone gay straight trans or whatever you might be. Also the food at the Cafe is some of the best food you will find.
So great to have the LGBT Community Center in the neighborhood! My favorite place by far. Also a great place to get some work done via their free WiFi and have lunch/coffee. Much LUV to The Center!
Who the in their right mind Denies a twenty year old FREE HIV testing because they dont have a Nevada I.D its honestly disgraceful. You make your company look awful and completely unwilling to help. If I could give zero stars I would.
Love this place. I attend meetings here a few times a week. I miss a certain security guard, D, who had the nicest dreads and a great personality to match.
The volunteers Are amazing but the upper management people are shady and will say one thing to your face and then do the complete opposite. I am very saddened that an organization that is for our entire community and not stand up for the ENTIRE community
LGBT center with support meetings, Cafe, and a very good queer studies library. Friendly staff, accepting environment. Many events available.
Got turned away from inclusive lunch and learn because its a seniors event, which wasnt mentioned on the events page, and I cant seem to find any trans events on their calendar
Excellent resources for anyone who calls Las Vegas home - jobs clinic on Friday, homebuyers class once a month, drug screenings, hair cuts, showers, and other services!
Love the free condoms. I used every one them with great pleasure. Thank guys and gals...
WOW!!!!!! This place is a wonderful place not just for the LGBTQ+ . Go see Kris, hes such a sweetheart.
Sympathetic kind people ❤️
EXCELLENT PLACE ... Staff is very helpful and respectful. Cafe has excellent food and selections! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Definitely an attitude-free zone!
Tons of services, safe space, cute little coffee bar & friendly staff
Great Food Bank on 1st and 3rd Friday every month.
Very nice people and confortable
The latina navigator doesnt take your clarity card when you are trying to check mail. And she says that you dont have mail when you got an email stating that your mail was delivered.
Check it out. They have education health answersAA MEETINGS great Community resource.
I love the Center, they are an amazing community asset...very loving environment.Coffee shop is awesome!
Great people providing great service. Very helpful in a warm and cozy atmosphere. All bathrooms should be gender neutral like theirs
Safe & affirming space for everyone to find LGBTQIA+ community resources and make new friends. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
They are so great helpful and friendly :) and have amazing coffee juice food bar the little rainbow cafe :)
Great atmosphere. Kind people. Wonderful service.
The new director discriminated against and terminated Blue Montana, Director of Transgender programs. She claimed it was because of his post on social media, in which he was standing up to PRIDE for calling the transgender group “TRANNIES” at the grandstand on microphone, leading others to believe it’s ok to use that term. (It’s not)There are no written rules or policies in The Center handbook re: employee personal social media. This was a wrongful termination. The new director forced the first non-gendered baby in Nevada out of an event, which was only bothering her per sources. Happened to be Blue and his husbands baby. Blue’s husband emailed a complaint to the fact the new director was discriminating and that the GAY & Lesbian Center was supposed to be inclusive of all.I put GAY AND LESBIAN CENTER IN caps because they’ve not changed anything to represent the entire LGBTQ Community.I will not be donating my money, help, anything (which has been a lot over the past few years) to The Center. The board must fire the new director to rectify this. The board, itself, needs a makeover considering its President allowed the new director to fire Blue (discrimination). In closing, you’ve lost a supporter, a donor, and a friend of the Center.
This is a wonderful place ; the staff is wonderful and are extremely helpful and are very dedicated to helping you to your needs
This place is amazing newly remodeled very modern, the staff and the volunteers are absolutely exceptional
The YLI institute holds their meetings there. Very nice facility
Horrible place manager disrespectful. I have autism and was being loud. Understandabl . But calling the cops and saying I am under the influence. If you have any kind of mental disability and dont want to be disrespected. Dont come here.
The new Bob Forbuss Building in beautiful. A heartfelt thanks to all those who set out five years ago to create a safe place for our LGBTQ youth, seniors and community members gay and straight. Your continued efforts toward education and health of the LGBTQ community is tireless and I appreciate all the volunteers, staff and sponsors who make the Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada a symbol of our community.
Good location in Las Vegas. Nice, clean, helpful staff, cafe with good prices, interesting library and many events.
Hospitable space, and beautiful framework for the city’s ongoing social inclusion efforts.

Awesome place, free testing done here and CMA meetings every monday.
The Center is an awesome place to meet and find new friends very nice I love it there . But the best part it the Youth Center
The worst people work here, they are not here to help the LGBTQ people, I had a horrible experience.
An underused, highly valued resource for people that are in or support the LGBTQUIA+ community.
I am a DJ for the center when there are events. The people are Great! Friendly and loving.
Good and friendly people with your best interest at heart
Great testing center, super professional.
Medical service in disarray.
I was just walking past after a long walk from dwntwn decided to sit on the brick wall literally at the sidewalk the security guard must be bored came to talk to me see if i was alright.
Nice place if this lifestyle appeals to you.
Helpful staff, especially Krysthal. Quick testing. Arrive early.
Really enjoyed our time here at the FUPI event!
Im missing jamie mulder! My transsexual girlfriend! Im sorry baby Im not perfect but Im blessed with the money now to stay in vegas baby! Im so sorry baby!
They seem to be losing any Trans specific programs, or leaders other than translations on Friday nights. It saddens me.
Great place to get information, harm reduction location, and several community resources not just for LGBTQ community.
Wonderful resource. So glad this is here for our Las Vegas community.
