Chaotic clinic environment, I dont think Ive seen the same doctor twice during my prenatal care. The whole clinics system seemed great when I used them back in 2022, Im not sure what has happened but the way they operate now is vastly different and not for the better. Due to never seeing the same provider prescription process is slow, especially if you need a refill. I am considered a high risk pregnancy but the doctor who has diagnosed me has not put in the charts I need in my MyChart app to log certain medical issues that need to be reported regularly. All around a messy experience, if I had different insurance I would definitely be seen elsewhere.
From my visit, I didnt understand why there were so many negative reviews. I did have to wait a few months for my appointment, but I was in and out in about 40 mins. Dr. Manning was very nice and easy to talk to. She helped me schedule my salpingectomy and didnt try to talk me out of it being as Im 24, I expected some kind of reluctance from Drs. But there wasnt any at all and Im so greatful she made this a pleasant experience. The front desk ladies were also nice, and helped direct me to the entrance whenever I got lost on my way out.
Dr. Helmich was amazing throughout my pregnancy. She is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. I was sad to switch when I moved.Though they did forget to do my 3rd-trimester labs which resulted in late diagnoses of my ICP, it was handled quickly and my daughter came out perfectly healthy despite her 4-week early arrival. Would recommend her every time!
Years ago I switched here bc I was having unexplained pains & being written off by the OB I was seeing at the time. The Dr discovered I had endometriosis & pushed for a hysterectomy. The dr who did my exploratory surgery bruised me worse than Ive ever been bruised from any major surgery/medical procedure. My abdomen was black & blue & I had to take a week to recover. I refused a hysterectomy & the dr kept pressuring me as if that were my only option. I switched to a different dr in the clinic who helped me get corrective surgery at another hospital. 3 years later I was able to conceive.Although I moved 2 hrs away, I still drove to UAMS to for my care during my pregnancy. They said I couldnt chose my dr anymore but that the whole clinic was my dr now. There was no consistency & I didnt want to be seen by the dr I switched from. My concerns werent being addressed & that many appointments were driving 2 hrs to see an NP for 5 minutes and leave.By 34 weeks I still hadnt seen an actual OB. I couldnt tell you the name of anyone who treated/examined me, they were different every time.My previous pregnancies never made it passed 38 weeks and I had no idea who would deliver my baby nor did anyone want to start discussing my options for a birth plan. I was high risk, having a c-section and they were asking me to just trust the hospital not knowing who would be performing SURGERY on me.I attempted to switch to a different doctor but by that time nobody would take me, I was too late in my pregnancy.Someone saying they were the floor manager called me from UAMS to see how they could correct the issue.By the time I came back I was 36 weeks.I was told it would be put in my chart not to see the doctor I didnt care for and that my appointments would be scheduled as best as they could, with my preferred doctor. At 38 wks I went into labor. The doctor who introduced themselves as the person going to do my surgery, was a stranger to me and ended up not even doing my surgery. The anesthesiologist who did the epidural was AWFUL. I was crying as they stuck me repeatedly bc they missed over 5 times. They injected me 3 times in the back with morphine bc of how much pain it was causing. I was shaking violently, incredibly scared. They dont allow your partner in the room during this time so the only person you have to lean on is your nurse, which was distracted, leaning away from me, so she could help count instruments while they all discussed another woman who was in labor.During the prep of my surgery the 2 anesthesiologists were above my head discussing how they had given me the max dose of morphine, what they would do in the case of me overdosing and about the kind of shoes he wears to work and the spares he keeps in his car.Nobodys focus was on me.Not even an hr after my surgery, the nurse asked me to lift myself up so she could change my pad like I hadnt just been cut in half. The night nurse caused my baby to aspirate by trying to force feed him a bottle after refusing to help me latch him to breastfeed.I became overwhelmed, had a break down and she dosed me with pain meds before removing my baby from my room dispite my birth plan stating he wasnt to be removed without being accompanied by a parent unless it was a medical emergency. They gave my baby an exam and drew his blood without my permission and when my partner went to retrieve our baby the nurse told him it was easier for her to not have to go back and forth to our room from the nurses station. My first post op appointment was scheduled with the doctor I requested not to be seen by. Then when I requested help with issues regarding bleeding, I was told to wait a month to be seen or go to an ER.They knew I was struggling with PPD yet, once my baby was born, they were no longer interested in providing me with medical care. All of this on top of completely dropping the ball on my mental health care during my pregnancy. The therapist I waited over a month to see, in their hospital, was an absolute JOKE.
Not sure what happened with others experiences here, but my experiences went well. They even helped me prepare for my myomectomy surgery at UAMS.
Ive been trying to schedule for a surgery and so far its been impossible. They scheduled me for a regular appointment and then when I called back, they transferred me to a line that went to voicemail. I left my info, they called but I was busy and so I tried calling again later. Over the last couple days its been going to voicemail. Ive tried morning, afternoon, evening and no one seems to pick up when its supposed to be open.
If i could give this center no stars i would. I am past 20 weeks pregnant and they want to go over two months without me seeing anyone. The last visit i had was just with an ultrasound tech no one else. They ended up canceling my appointment because the doctor was going to to be out of town. thanks to know they have our health in the best interest. I should have already had my glucose test done but have to wait til Nov. when I am due in January. God bless their souls
Unprofessional. Made me wait over an hour to NOT be seen by anyone. No regard for their patients time or health issues. They also sent a patient paperwork packet to an address Ive never lived at in Bryant (???). Btw you will have to pay a copay for an appointment in which you wont be seen by the provider 😂😂
I got to see an OB once for 10 minutes on my inital visit. Each time they looked at my baby it was a nurse and being high risk, over 35 and with diabetes Id ask questions I should be concerned with and she couldnt answer them nor would she bother to get anyone that could. All I got to see was a nurse and a diabetes educator. They constantly made my partner like an idiot for just asking questions and even asked in front of him if I felt safe at home and with him. What the heck. I had an emergency in which I thought I miscarried, the call center would pick up then hang up IT TOOK ME HOURS. They wouldnt let me talk to staff and kept telling me nothing is wrong. Finally one said to go to the ER. So I went to Baptist and got better treatment in the ER there then I got my entire pregnancy. They had the nerve to call back 2 days later and ask me if I got the care I need and what the ER said. Girl bye. Im definitely filing insurance fraud. They were billed as Endocrinologist appointments but I didnt even see a specialist. And now Im being billed for specialist co-pays. NO maam.
I scheduled an appointment for birth control pills. As soon as I walked in the front desk informed me that the computers were down were down that day which I thought would be no problem. I seen the doctor and he didn’t give me even a paper prescription due to the computers being down. The next day I called my pharmacy to see about getting my birth control and nothing was sent over. Every few days I kept calling and getting transferred over to the nurses station which no one reached back to me. This continued for WEEKS until the phone representative told me I had to come in again for yet ANOTHER appointment. This is so irresponsible of UAMS due to the fact that roe vs wade has been passed in this state. I will never come back here again. I do not recommend to anyone. I will be telling anyone who needs OBGYN CARE to stay away.
Mrs Courtney the nurse at UAMS women’s clinic was very sweet!! She gave me the perfect understanding. She was very patience and very respectful!! And I do mean very respectful!! And she kept her word by calling back to schedule me an appointment! Mrs Courtney I appreciate you so much sweetheart and continue to be the person that you are! Thank you so much for all your help!
Thank you so much, 1000 times again and again to Doctor Taylor and his team. They not only gave me the best pregnancy experience I could’ve had but they also helped a family member of mine with her Endometriosis.I cannot express how grateful we are.The staff at UAMS are so hardworking and kind. You guys are so appreciated and have made such wonderful differences in our lives. Thank you thank you thank you.
I was here 3 years ago to get a Nexplanon and they treated me well. I came back to get my Nexplanon removed and replaced and I was treated quickly and efficiently. I walked through the entire process and was made as comfortable as possible.
The doctors here are so kind, present, knowledgeable, attentive & calming, which is the most important factor for me in choosing an OBGYN. However, the office was quite disorganized about my paperwork when I first came—they had down that I’d had multiple pregnancies (I have never been pregnant) & were confused about the reason for my visit even though I called ahead twice to clarify what I needed done. I was also disappointed that I was never asked about my pronouns and was subsequently misgendered and called by my dead name during my appointment. Lastly, this is not exactly an in and out type of clinic - they seem extremely busy and appointments take a long time. Bring snacks.
Just made an appointment for the gender clinic and was so very excited but then devastated to find out the soonest they could get me in is in almost 4 months? WTH? Sadly with the way our laws are here in Arkansas who knows if I’ll even be able to start my transition!
Very slow, and everytime I went I saw someone new, I never had the same doctor so things were constantly being repeated, and none of them were ever on the same page. I had one doctor ask me why I was there, when I was obviously very pregnant... I explained to him, and he just kept asking yeah, but why are you here? Made me question why I had to be seen at a place that clearly had no clue as to what was going on. They are also hard to work with, specially if you cant arrive by a certain time, all my appointments had to be scheduled for 3:30pm so I could make them, and they still tried to schedule things for 1:15pm, then got mad when Id cancel. I hope I never have to be treated at this place again, it was a nightmare.
I’ve always been one to look at reviews when considering a new place and was a lil hesitate about trying UAMS woman’s health, with the good and bad reviews. I ended up seeing Dr. Hughes at 28 weeks and had the best experience with her and everyone I came in contact with. If you want to be seen by same doctor just tell them when you schedule (I seen some reviews on that topic).
I was referred to this facility by my pcp upon finding out I am pregnant. Wait time for initial pregnancy assessment was quick and the mid wife is awesome when you get in.The biggest issue and quite concerning if you ask me, is that you can never reach a nurse for medical advice when you are having complications. Im currently looking for another ob/mid wife since I cant even seek medical advice for follow up after ER visits. This very serious issue needs to be addressed very quickly as it could definitely lead to further complications for moms to be.
I hated the experience, no one ever answers the phone and they waited more than a week to give me test results. My doctor Dr. Noel is weird and they never asked me if I preferred male or female.
Excellent facility, front desk staff, and physicians. I use Jeni Warrior for my yearly check-ups and for any problems that arise. I have nothing but excellent things to say about her. Jeni Warrior is incredibly thorough and informative. As a patient, I felt her attention to detail was something the medical field needs more of. She cares about her patients and has the knowledge and expertise to provide exquisite patient care. Also, her bedside manners are excellent. I would highly recommend Jeni Warrior.
Love my Dr Lindsay Sward she is kind and patient and doesnt rush in and out like I have experienced before with other doctors. I feel comfortable with her and she is great to talk with. I have used her for many years now and I would not go any where else.
Very in organized. Even with the new facility, very unorganized. Waited over an hour for an appointment just to be told I was never checked in, and I was never checked on. Employees were literally leaving and clocking out as I was waiting with NO assistance, to the point where I and two other ladies were the only people left in the building. I waited a MONTH for THIS appointment that I had to get rescheduled! My urine was even misplaced here once. Do better
I have never been here and been seen less than 30 minutes after my appointment other than being with a group. I have recently asked twice after much time had passed and been told I was checked in. The second time, I found out I was checked in 20 minutes after I was supposed to be after the receptionist came to ask me questions in the lobby. I have also had issues with them getting my history after I have even handed then paper copies THREE times since they couldnt figure out how to get them from a previous provider after I was told they should have received them. Staff is also hateful including the doctor I seem today for the first time. Also YOUR PATIENTS CAN HEAR YOU WHEN YOU SPEAK ABOUT THEM. If the appointment is not already scheduled I refuse to be seen here.Kemberley bell
I drove my wife who is a disabled veteran to the UAMS Women’s Clinic as I am also her caregiver. The screeners at the front denied my entry saying I was a visitor or guest before ever giving my wife the opportunity to explain that I came to assist my wife in walking due to the procedure they had scheduled. The office informed us in advance that I would be allowed to accompany my wife and would grant us both access but the young lady in the lobby had already made up her mind about my qualifications and privileges. This is no way to treat our disabled veterans.
The scheduling staff here has absolutely no idea what they are doing. My wife and I were sent here for a level 2 ultrasound by our OBGYN. After confirming the appointment for this location in Little Rock (through email and a phone call the week prior), we showed up only to be told we were supposed to be at the facility in Fayetteville, AR, even though our doctor, the email, and the phone call all indicated that we had an appointment at this location. After a 3 hour wait, we were finally worked in. If you can go anywhere else, you should. Awful experience.
Terrible Clinic if I could get it 0 stars I would These people don’t care about Pregnant women at all worst place I’ve ever experienced wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone who cares about themselves and their unborn. Highly unprofessional. I’m sure the worker do Hard drugs please ladies this not a great environment
Dr Wendel was the best! Explained everything and made you feel comfortable. I cant imagine going to anyone else while pregnant. He took the best care of me. I was high risk do to me having Crohns and he stYed in contact with my G.I. doctor and his staff is awesome too.
When I finally seen the doctor…..I noticed she did not wash her hands, rather came into the room rubbing her hands as if she put sanitizer on it then put gloves on. She talked for a bit but never explained exactly what she was about to do. Her nurse came and and she didn’t introduce herself I looked at her and the doctor stated “this is the nurse.” I have no idea what her name was. She put on sanitizer and then gloves. Even during a pandemic no one is washing their hands and there were three people in my room the doctor (who coughed and sounds like she has a running nose, a P.A. student, and the nurse. I was never asked if the student could actually be in the room. Needless to say I WILL NEVER RETURN.
I was referred from my original OBGYN Dr. Beck with Baptist, she explained due to my weight and pre-existing diabetes, that I need to see Dr. Dajani, which Dr. Beck have spoke so fondly of, however I did not think of so fondly of her or this clinic due to not seeing her often none to at all. If I were at a normal OBGYN, they would actually see me instead of her APRN’s and in-training residents. I also did not like the incompetency of her APRN’s specifically Gordon Low, he is terrible, and dismisses you when you concerns, even when you’re supposedly high risk. They have said my child would have low blood sugar due to my diabetes...which was not even considered diabetes, at 6.2. In my medical school years, diabetes is diagnosed at 6.5, when they told me I need to adjust my diet, I did! I have brought my A1C down to 4.9 with no medications, but prescribed insulin at night when my sugar was “too high” for their standards. Just illogical. Also, they kept mentioning my child would be big, and measuring big also. If you go to this clinic being pre-diabetic, best believe they will treat you like a number...and not a pregnant woman. I will NEVER go see them again. I will never see Dr. Dajani, or Gordon Low. One year this week, my child is very healthy, and I don’t take any diabetic meds. My A1C using diet and control is 5.0. DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC!
I did literally hate it there. Worst experience ever. The only OBGYN I ever liked was one that I met in the hospital at Baptist Health and I cannot remember her name. I only saw DR. Larrimer here, but trying to talk to billing or any management to get insurance or billing help is like pulling teeth. They are arrogant and dont like to listen. I was done with them in May of 2014 and I am still have billing issues. Horrible, horrible experience.
Ive been to this Clinic with my daughter Stephanie N. Freeman. And, you all took care of her, with her Dialysis conditions, Pregnancy, and High Blood Pressures. Plus, she had Dieabetic too. After having her baby, on May 15th, 2017; her Diabetes has did a turnaround. She is now Nursing her son, named Elijah Luke Freeman, & hes doing bottles Feeding too. I thank GOD, for being there for her, and I. Sothat, we can find out what was going on with her body, and others health problems.Sincerely Yours Truly,Virginia R. Ford
Love Tesa Ivey!! She was the best experience in the medical field Ive had!!! She listened and understood my issues!! I highly recommend!!!
Wow. Google keeps shutting me off before I can rate correctly. I give 4 stars, staff is amazing. I gave one less star because there is a lack of communication between doctors, and from what I hear Im not the only one with that problem. Overall been a great experience.
Had a 3:15 appointment. Have been here for two hours now without being seen. Was also told I could get two things done in one appointment, find out I can’t when I get here. Overall incredibly dissatisfied, won’t return, and certainly won’t recommend.
My close friend went in for her appointment today and she felt rushed, hardly explained anything about her pregnancy. She is very upset about the whole appointment. That was her first and last appointment here at this hospital .
Y’all need to fix your parking lot!! Went for an appointment today and got $1200 worth of damage to my car just parking in your lot! When I tried to figure out who to talk to y’all were very rude and said it wasn’t y’alls problem!!! It’s bad enough I have to pay hundreds of dollars for an appointment but now have damage to my car y’all won’t repair. Wow just wow….
I like this clinic better than any other clinic The staff are friendly, and the doctors are excellent. They fixed whatever issue that I have. So thank you guys very much. This is my first visit here at this particular clinic. I did recommend my friend here.
I haven’t had any problems so far! Only gave 4 stars because the wait times take forever sometimes but otherwise a good place for prenatal care! 🙂
Literally every appointment Ive ever had here it takes an hour to an hour and a half to call me back past my appointment time. Inconvenient and unprofessional.Im supposed to be here 15 minutes early but they can call me back 90 minutes late. Unbelievable.
Staff is always so friendly and I never wait for my appointments too long!! So excited to be giving birth at this hospital
Wait time for appointments are very long. I found a place that helped me much quicker. Ill be canceling my appointment here and keeping up with the other appointments.
Over booked under staffed. Been waiting so long the lights went off in the exam room! All for a follow up appointment
Horrible experience cant even go see my child at all on the ultrasound my wife is in there alone without me just because they are counting my 3 year old daughter as an adult and they wont allow me in with her...its such a pitiful world we live in where families cant be together during a pregnancy its really sad so yes very horrible experience sitting in the parking lot wishing I could see my unborn baby on the ultrasound
The doctor and nurses are so respectful and courteous. But the front desk attendants could use more hospitable personality.
Amazing nurses and Doctors. Even tho they rotate and you dont get the same doctors and nurses. They make sure to take good care of us. Amazing!
Best staff ever💖🤗🤗🙌🙏 Everyone is inviting and informative👍👍👍👍 I love the attention to detail. Over and beyond customer/patient care😍😍😍😍😍 I am so honored to be a part of this family 🙌🤗👍😂
Had a high risk preg and the staff was amazing. Loved my nurses and dr newton. Great experience
I USED TO LOVE THIS PLACE, NOW I HAVE TO WAIT AGES FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND STAFF OVER THE PHONE IS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!
Better location and building friendly staff. Really nice upgrade
Very thankful to have such a proactive caring team
Horrible clinic! They botched my hysterectomy
Longer waiting times. 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs
Shannon Graham is sooo awesome
Awesome place and kind and considerate staff
A good high-risk ob clinic
Large parking lott
I love them, they serve very well. To the people
