I’ve been going to this clinic for years and have always been treated well by the staff. My OBGYN, Dr Owens and all of her nurses have only ever gone above and beyond to ensure that I consistently receive high quality care. I’ve seen Dr Owens from puberty through adulthood and now through a pregnancy and there is no one I trust more with my care and reproductive health.
The best clinic! Dr. Galdemez and her nurse Jan are amazing!! They have always answered any issues and questions promptly! They have been amazing through pregnancy, delivery and postpartum! I can not recommend them enough!
I have called every month since JUNE to get ahold of billing. In June and July I called weekly if not several days in a row, and I have not ONCE received a call back. I have left messages, no return call. They keep sending me statements saying I owe a bill however I prepaid the said amount; and when I look at my insurance deductible it actually shows way less than what I prepaid. I even sent a letter back to them asking them to call me, and did they call? Nope. It would be amazing if somebody actually did their job or answered the phones during normal business hours. Honestly love my OB and her nurse there but everything else about the clinic is subpar.
Ive always had a great experience here. Lisa, Heidi, Trudy, and Dr wiedower are very informative, and have always made me feel at ease and welcome.
Worst clinic my wife and I have ever been to. they care more about cash upfront than checking my wife’s insurance coverage and when coverage was validated Lisa in billing terminated her as a patient and canceled her procedure. The office manager and doctors were all conveniently in meetings and couldn’t be reached. Avoid at all cost they don’t actually care about people.
Ive never had an issue making an appointment or getting someone on the phone. When Ive left messages for nurses, theyve called back in a reasonable amount of time. The care I have received here is professional and I have never felt unheard.
PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE BY ALL MEANS. THEY DO NOT ADVOCATE FOR PATIENT SAFETY!!!!!The providers are so busy that they forget about their patients medical needs. Dr. Amy Galdamez neglected patient care by not removing my IUD over a month it being expired. It should have been removed on my annual and wasn’t. I had to make a second appointment and received a second billing statement. This second appointment was not necessary. Insurance could have paid for majority of this on the FIRST APPOINTMENT. Donnie Curtis, the clinic manger told me nothing could be done about the bill or situation and that I was at fault. Here at this clinic apparently patients have to remind the doctors how to do their job. The manager brushes patients concerns over and minimally care.Reasons not to go here:1. When calling you will have difficulty getting through to them. I have had to call over 10+ times to get through. Donnie Curtis has admitted himself that they had “issues with their phone lines.” No you have issues with your staff. When you do get a chance to be on hold, you possibly might get hung up on.2. When you have a scheduled appointment, expect to not be seen 30 minutes to an hour later. Luckily I didn’t have kids to pick up from school and was off.3. The doctors will forget your medical plan. They forgot to remove my IUD for over a month and was in significant PAIN and BLEEDING.4. Billing is hardly available. To discuss my situation I was able to get through to them ONCE. Other times I was on hold and as mentioned, hung up on. Other times the staff member wasn’t even there. Was told “Oh that person isn’t here.” …..Umm, ok???5. It takes a while to get any issues resolved. (If a resolution will even be reached)They do not want to take responsibility for their errors as PROFESSIONALS.I have been a patient here for several years and refuse to recommend this place to anyone. These people just come here to work and collect a check. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS LIKE THEY SHOULD. THESE ARE DOCTORS??????? PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!
Very difficult to get someone to help you over the phone. The nurses’ line keeps dropping calls. They told me twice they would call back but did not. According to their website they are open until 4:30pm so when I called again at 4pm I was directed to their after hours line. Still waiting for a callback. It is now 6pm and I started this ordeal at 10:30 this morning. Hope you can find a better place than this. We certainly are transferring to another clinic.
BEWARE! This clinic is absolutely horrible. You cant get anyone to ever answer the phone not to mention someone at the office leaked my most PRIVATE medical information to someone with ill intentions and nothing was done besides asking people who all of course denied it. I have it all in very detailed text messages but I guess that is not proof enough. The place is ran like a circus. The only person who seems to know this is the lady that does the mammograms (very sweet and kind). I will never deal with anyone in Baptist system ever again. If I could give zero stars I would. BEWARE of this clinic! GO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Such a great experience here every time I go. The ladies at the desk are all super friendly and helpful. And I love Dr Weidower Elbe and Trudy, her nurse. They are the best and so caring! It’s a long drive for me to come here but I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
I went to Genesis Women’s Clinic for 3 years before it merged with Central, and loved my doctors there and had good care and interactions with staff. Since the merge, I’ve been unable to speak with anyone no matter how often I call (or what time of day) or leave messages in mychart. I was asked by the receptionist to reschedule an important postpartum check-up and when I tried to do so, the phone rang endlessly and I was unable to leave a message.I have since moved my care to a new clinic. This is unprofessional, even in the midst of transition. I am sad that I will be unable to continue my care with the terrific doctor I had recently begun seeing- but it’s not worth it to wait around and neglect my own physical health.
I loved this place until recently. I just had my baby 4weeks ago and am trying to reschedule my 6 week check up to see if I will be able to go back to work soon. I called from 8:40am all the way up till 3:00pm and no answer. Not even once. Just me being out on hold then the phone hanging up. I called both numbers provided to me. Tried again just now. Maybe theyre on lunch or something but it gave the clinic hours. Which doesnt make since because that means their open so why is no one answering the phone!
If you are over 40 do not even consider this clinic!!! It is obvious you dont matter! I was left in the waiting room, less than 3 weeks from a surgery, in excruciating pain for an hour and a half!!! Then I waited in the room for another 20 minutes in pain. After waiting close to 2 hours in pain I finally left. I have always been the last person taken back every time I have been there. The office staff are rude, incompetent, and oblivious to the patients needs. Ive had an appointment cancelled while on my way with no apology, then the person argued with me about which doctor I see. She was wrong! I was not given a pre-op phone call with surgery prep information nor told I needed a COVID-19 test before surgery. I only was able to speak to a nurse before my surgery because I demanded the receptionist connect me 3 days before my surgery. The clinic justifies all of the lack of best-practices due to babies being delivered. If you cant manage the patients, dont take them on! DO NO HARM!!!
UPDATE: This review is solely for Dr. Amy Galdamez. The below review is for the clinic itself. Dr. Galdamez supported us through our high-risk mono-di twin pregnancy. I always felt like she was on our side, even with all the unknowns, she really and truly wanted all our goals to be met and for me and the girls to be healthy and safe. From the beginning she let me know we were a team but respected my desire for a vaginal delivery and listened to all my concerns. I knew I was in very, very good hands. I delivered prematurely at 35 weeks after a fall, but with Dr Galdamez, I was able to have a beautiful, smooth vaginal delivery. It was exciting and she knew exactly what to do to bring my girls safely into the world. Could not recommend her enough! Worth all the waiting in the lobby to see her :)I am hoping I can come back after delivery and share my experience, whether it be positive or negative. But I do want to express my frustration. For the past 4-6 months, it has been very difficult to get a hold of the clinic or L&D for that matter. I am high risk with twins. There have been a couple times when I needed advice from my doctor or staff. When I send a message on mychart I dont usually get a response until days or weeks later. Today I slipped and fell at work (35 weeks pregnant) and I was having minor cramping. I was very scared and anxious and needed to speak to someone. I spent nearly 2 hours of my work time trying to get a hold of someone. Now, I am fine, but that was because luckily I work at a school with a nurse and even though she is not an OB nurse, she watched me and made sure I was ok. I cant help but think of other ladies here that need to make important appointments and phone calls and didnt hear back. That is not professional. They NEED to fix something. They said they have been working on their phones but its been months. The health and wellbeing of women and children are on the line, and Central Clinic for Women really need to begin demonstrating they truly are here for our care. If it wasnt for Dr. Galdamez, I wouldve switched practices a long time ago.
Getting more and more frustrated with this office ! The voicemail says that operating hours are from 8 am to 4:30 pm and yet no one ever answers the phone. It just rings twice and then disconnects the line. How can I ask my doctors any questions or make appointments?!Also, I’m not a fan of the sonographers. The lady literally looked at me for less than 90 seconds without saying a word or explaining anything, provided one photo and sent me on my way out. I did t feel welcome whatsoever; more like an inconvenience.Literally the only thing that keeps me coming back to this office is my doctors care - she is top notch !
I have been a patient at CCFW for most of my life and I am trying to reschedule an appointment and the DO NOT answer the phone. You can go into My Chart and cancel the appointment, but I cant find my Doctor or a place to reschedule it. While technology is great, CCFW is becoming user unfriendly. Do I have to go up the the office and schedule in person?
Dr. Galdamez is the absolute best. She takes the time to listen to her patients, and actually searches for solutions. I wish all doctors were like her! I always feel so at ease and comfortable with her and her nurse! Also, the front desk staff are so sweet and always smiling. I’ve never had a bad experience at this clinic. ❤️
Terribly run. Doctor was rude and actually hurt me during my exam with no remorse. Do not go here.
Almost everytime we were called atleast 1hr late to our scheduled appointment time. Its just really frustrating sometimes especially when you take only couple of hours off from your daily work.My suggestion to anyone is to check with the reception about your early checkin because it depends on the checking time not your appt. Time.
Dr. Goodwin is the best! I had a stressful pregnancy and she was there every step of the way. My son had to come early at 35 weeks due him suddenly not moving and not practicing any breathing movements. She performed my C-section and did an amazing job. I was even able to go back to work a week and a half later so I could save time when he came out of NICU. Highly recommend!!!
My husband and I love love LOVE Dr. Deed!!!I have used her since I was 16 as my GYN Doctor. I got pregnant right before COVID and switched to using her as my OB. Being pregnant in a pandemic was not ideal and not easy, by any means. Eventually going down to no support person during visits, made it very difficult but Dr. Deed made the appointments as personable as she could and allowed me to Facetime my husband for the heartbeat checks and ultrasounds.I became high risk at 29 weeks after randomly going into pre-term labor. I called Dr. Deed and she had me come in for Braxton Hicks just to be checked out. She immediately sent me to L&D to be monitored and I eventually got moved to a delivery room about to have a baby. Scariest time of my life but Dr. Deed, again, went above and beyond for my comfort, nerves and our baby. Dr. Deed stayed over night in the hospital with us multiple nights to assure to be there if I ended up delivering. That alone says so much about her bed side manner. LUCKILY, my pre-term labor was stopped by the grace of God and Dr. Deeds amazing medical knowledge. Instead of having a 3lb NICU baby, I carried full term and gave birth to a 7lb, 1oz HEALTHY baby boy.My family and I are so thankful for Dr. Deed and I will forever refer her to any woman searching for a good OBGYN.
This is a fantastic, affirming, safe practice of OB/GYNs. I have trusted my care with Dr Amy Galdamez for years. I frequently recommend this practice.
My doctor is awesome and THAT is the only reason why I am dealing with this clinic. They REFUSE to answer the phone and when you call the Medical Exchange they tell you they cant do anything until after 5! I have been calling since 3:30 and NOBODY is answering the phone, it sends you to a message. Bad office experience, they need new office staffing ASAP.
I love my doctor but as I’m checking in, the lady asks me to confirm my name, my address and phone number—all read aloud. I know it’s not PHI but it is PII. They should pull it up on a screen and ask you to verify instead of reciting all of your details aloud. It’s just a good practice. It’s 2022.
The WORST doctor I have ever been to. Dr. Deed is a joke and doesn’t care about her patients. She communicates via LETTERS IN THE MAIL, and if you expect a call back from the nurses you might as well hold your breath. On top of all that, they don’t let you switch doctors. They force you to pay for their careless service. Please spare yourself the headache and find a different doctor!
Dr. Emily Averill and the staff were professional and nice. Dr. Averill listen and gave me all the information that I needed. It was my first time coming here and I had a great experience.
Ok.. try to get my birth control implant a year or two ago. Says I need to be on my menstrual cycle before I can do that. Back then, Im ....completely speechless and dismayed by their attitude and lack of professional conduct. Waited months for my period to show up due to stress. I called them. Denied. In the background, I hear them mocking me, lol. Vincent has same requirements... Fortunately, I call a different clinic close by and was told you only need to take a pregnancy test to see if you can get the implant. No need to wait for periods and risky daily control pills. I thought there was another way. In the end, you lost a client. Im sure people will still go to this clinic and I wish them the best of luck.
I’ve had wonderful care from Dr. Hubach. She has delivered my two babies. She was always attentive, cautious, professional and approachable during clinic appointments and delivery. Highly recommend her!
Dr. Galdamez is the BEST! She always makes me feel at completely at ease! Really thankful for my experience with her and her staff! Keep up the good work!
Waited for a hour in the waiting room. This is NOT the 1st time. I’ve also called in for a script and had to call 3x before it was sent to the pharmacy. I will not be returning to this clinic again.
I love Dr. Deed & the staff. Always helpful and very nice. I feel super comfortable & cant wait to have my first baby!
Dr. Deed is amazing and very professional, had an excellent experience with her when I was pregnant and when she delivered the baby!!!! Definitely would recommend her.
I called 2 days in a row, got put on hold twice, then I got told I get a call back, never happened and had to call twice the next day.
My Doc. It’s good but in 9 months they did only 1 ultrasound always a new excuse of why they couldn’t do it.
I love Dr Deed. She is always there to listen and has delivered both of my kids.
Long wait, doctor didnt listen or take me seriously at all. Would not recommend.
