I called Los Olivos in distress and in tears at 5 weeks pregnant because I was having significant abdominal pain and bleeding and didn’t know what to do. I was told after waiting for nearly half an hour that no one would give me any assistance because I hadn’t been seen in their office yet for liability reasons. Literally would not tell me anything even though I expressed concern that I was having a medical emergency and I wasn’t sure if I needed to go to the emergency room.I understand there are certain liability issues when giving advice over the phone, but I cannot accept that a medical provider’s office would refuse to help someone figure out if they should go to seek emergency care or not. I could have bled out at home out of ignorance and they would not have cared.Ironically, I had been a patient at this office 3 years ago prior to moving out of the Bay Area and I had had a good experience with their office which is why I had tried to return as a patient when I moved back to the area. I don’t know if this has changed since I’d gone away or if this is just how they treat new/returning patients.
It seems impossible to make an appointment through the office. I called two days in a row and was just asked to hold and hold and never got through.
Great front desk staff. Very professional, friendly, and efficient. I came here to see Dr. Buzi and she was great. The office was somewhat difficult to find (it being in multiple bungalows) but once I figured it out, I realized it was right in front of El Camino Health hospital.
Front desk staff is rude. Making an appointment is next to impossible and patient care is abysmal.
