Dr. Balassiano was great and for that reason I would drive 40min for this clinic. Even after having a huge issue with Dr. Gupta during my labor (Today I know that I should have sued her), I decided to continue even after all of that.Dr. Dorismond started being my new dr but that lasted only ONE appointment as it doesn’t seem like she has a lot of experience, among other issues.I was with this clinic for over 5 years because of Dr. Balassiano but not anymore. They dont care about their patients.

Everybody here made me love everything about my labor experience, from the moment i came in, to the moment i left. every person i interacted with whether they were my nurse or not was extremely kind and caring. Dr. Azad is amazing and i couldnt be anymore thankful she was the one to deliver my baby. all the nurses that took care of me, my partner, and my baby were extremely great, they were kind, caring, careful, and they just went above and beyond to help me enjoy my experience, they even inspired me to start looking into nursing!! they truly make their job look easier than it really is and i am more than grateful for everyone that took care of me.

Because of how the system is set up, you will not know who will be on call for your baby. Dr. Gupta was horrible to me and my husband. She used scare tactics when I was 10 weeks pregnant to do genetic testing and said it was “free” in California. We found out a year later that it is not free and we were faced with tons of bills. She also called the hospital WITHOUT my consent to schedule an induction a week before due date. When the nurse called me to confirm I told her I did not consent to this and she told me not to come in. She of course was the on call doctor. Her attitude towards me was very rude which made the nurses also insanely rude to me as well while I was in labor. I liked the other doctors. However, Gupta was absolutely HORRIBLE. I would never ever go here or recommend it to anyone just because of the chance you might have her for care. And she does not care for you. She only cares to make money.

I was seeing Dr. Azad and Dr. Teng delivered my baby via c section. Dr. Teng is a wonderful provider and person. My c section scar has healed up perfectly and ECWG has followed up with me many times and has been very supportive of any needs I may have. Dr. azad is also lovely and she is very informative and provided a lot of education at every appointment.Sajal is also the advice nurse and she is a sweetheart. She called to congratulate me and ask if I needed anything and was folllwing up. She replied to every email very quickly. The MAs and girls at the front desk are also incredibly helpful as well!

I found that the doctors here were kind and compassionate when I saw them in person but, at the end of the day, that did not make up for the large mistakes made while handling my care. I ended up going through a three-month-long miscarriage process due to their oversight of tissue that I retained. Throughout the process, I raised concerns about symptoms that I was experiencing but didnt feel like I was being totally heard until I *discovered* (for lack of a better non-graphic word) the retained tissue 11 weeks after the whole ordeal began. At my last ultrasound, I was told that I still had retained tissue that would require a surgical procedure. I got a second opinion which (correctly) contradicted this and, adding insult to injury, was gifted a cancellation fee when I went to cancel the unnecessary procedure that I felt rushed into scheduling.

My experience with El Camino Womens Group was a complete nightmare. From the chaotic atmosphere and communication to the complete lack of aftercare and patient support, this gynecologist failed to meet even the most basic standards of care and professionalism. the excessive wait times, losing track of recprds every time (which was a nightmare and excessive time waste to hint them on results of ultrasound/history/lab tests and sometimes i had to postpone my appointment till they find them!), The gynecologists indifference and lack of aftercare left me feeling neglected, frustrated, and anxious about my well-being and my babys health. After delivering my baby, I never met the gynecologist, and the on-call doctor prescribed a painkiller that I was allergic to, despite it being listed in my records. They refused to change it and suggested over-the-counter ibuprofen instead. During my appointment, I waited for 40 minutes, only to be seen by a nurse practitioner who solely measured my blood pressure. When I requested to see Dr. Gupta, she callously declined, citing a lack of time. After voicing my concerns, the office manager contacted me to apologize and offered another appointment. However, the experience was just as disheartening and unhelpful. In my 4th week appointment due to bleeding, Dr. Gupta informed me that I didnt need to return for the six week checkup, disregarding any lingering concerns. To my surprise, I was asked to fill out a questionnaire as if it were six weeks post-delivery, yet none of my specific concerns or questions were addressed.Seeking support for my back pain and other issues, I was met with dismissiveness. Dr. Gupta emphasized that her only focus was the healing of my C-section wound and showed no interest in discussing further steps or addressing my concerns about an ultrasound for a breast issue. I was told to schedule an appointment after six months, leaving me feeling neglected and unheard.Adding to my frustrations, I received multiple certified letters per week demanding payment for their services the same time After paying the requested amount, I received a letter the next day terminating me as a patient, despite it being only two months post-delivery.In summary, my experience with El Camino Womens Group was a complete nightmare. The chaotic nature of the practice, combined with the gynecologists indifference, lack of aftercare, and rude behavior, left me feeling neglected and anxious. I strongly advise anyone considering this gynecologist to seek care elsewhere, where compassion, competence, and organization are prioritized

Incredible care! Had an amazing experience going through pregnancy and the birth of my first child under the care of these incredible doctors. I loved that I got to meet all the doctors so whoever was on call at the time of birth would be familiar. I was always educated, informed and presented with options by the staff that made me feel confident throughout each step. Could not recommend enough!

This review is both for the clinic and the OB, both of which were terrible. My wife and I both had a horrible experience with OB Gupta. We are expecting our first child and my wife obviously had a lot of questions and concerns. Gupta offered brushed off all of her concerns and questions. Every appointment with her was at like 5 minutes and then we were rushed out. The clinic will charge you for unnecessary tests through labs that your insurance will not cover. Highly recommend finding a different place to receive your care.

I can’t express my love enough for this group of doctors! I came to them when i was about 4 months pregnant with my 3rd child and they were amazing from the very start. I was so disappointed and discouraged with my previous OB that i wasn’t very hopeful of having a better experience finding a new one but i was so wrong, I feel so blessed to have found the ladies at El Camino Women’s Medical Group. My primary doctor is Dr. Teng and she is my absolute favorite doctor I’ve ever had. She is so caring, attentive & compassionate. She always makes time for me wheater it’s something big or small and that speaks volumes about her professionalism and compassion. I’ve had the pleasure of being seen and cared for by all of the doctors at ECWMG and they are all equally amazing. You’ll always have a caring, trustworthy doctor to count on with this group. The front office ladies are kind and helpful and so are the medical assistants! It’s always been a 10/10 experience each appointment.

I have been seeing Dr. Amy Teng since before I was pregnant, and she has been amazing. She is supportive, not judgmental, and has answers to all of my questions. The office is run very well. It it easy to get an appointment. They give me all of the information I need, often before I need it.The reason I was driven to write a review was because I just went through the hassle of ordering my breast pump through my insurance and El Camino Womens did all the checks for me, wrote the prescription, sent it in to the pump company, and my pump is already in the mail only a few days later. Im amazed that anything medical that involves insurance can be so seamless.I highly recommend this medical group.

This place is very unfair to new fathers. I agree gynecologists are for women but having a baby is an experience for both the parents, it’s a journey for both the parents to go through equally. Throughout the 9 months, I wasn’t allowed to go in to talk to the doctors, I had questions and concerns too! I understand Covid is a concern but am fully vaccinated and test negative every week, but they still won’t let me in. Oh Yeah, but when it comes to payments then they want to talk to me! I would highly not recommend this place if the fathers want to be part of the journey.

Facts:1. At 34 week of pregnancy, Dr Azad’s assistant gave me the WRONG Vaccine. I was supposed to receive Tdap, but they injected me with HPV vaccine instead.2. Baby was born with a birth defect and later we see some developmental delay. No empathy was expressed.3. At the 6 week postpartum checkup, Dr. Balassiano barely spent time checking, and she didn’t address my high score of postpartum depression. When I self-reported I could have depression, the practice told me to find a psychotherapist by myself.4. At 2 week and 6 week postpartum checkups, OB doctors said my C-Section incision looked fine. But at around 9 weeks postpartum, when I brought up the scarring around the incision again, the practice responded “It’s too late to treat”. And again the practice told me to find a dermatologist by myself.5. Unprofessional admin staff, paperwork handling is poor. Both my pre and post delivery SDI forms were initially incomplete. I needed to communicate multiple times to move it forward. Conclusion:Avoid this practice at all costs. Their staff are sloppy and doctors just don’t care. They didnt even know what they were injecting in patient. I feel lucky that I am still alive.

1. My first part of the review is for the clinic. The clinic only uses Obstetrix San Jose for scans so patients have no options. Obstetrix completely missed my marginal cord insertion diagnosis at my anatomy scan, contrary to what they claimed themselves of being good at caring for high risk pregnancy. Also obstetrix is quite expensive and the co-pay and out of pocket expense could easily go to thousands depending on the insurance you have.I also heard a horrible case from a moms group that a pregnant mama was mistakenly administered HPV vaccine by the nurse at this clinic. She was supposed to receive the TDAP instead! In many countries including the US, HPV vaccine is prohibited if you are pregnant, or preparing for pregnancy. This is just horrible practice and bad stuff management/training.2. The 2nd part of the review is for my OB Amy Teng. Most of my appointments with her were like 5 minute long, very fast. Fine, I understand that clinics are busy due to the lack of staff. But she was negligent and didnt even check my fundal height after 20 weeks, like most other OBs do for their patients once they reach the 2nd trimester. I had to bring this up to her a few times that my belly was small for my gestational age. She and her nurse initially brushed off my concern. She finally checked my fundal height and then ordered a growth scan. Then indeed we found out the baby is smaller and later confirmed growth restriction (IUGR) in the following scans. After the growth restriction diagnosis, she did nothing except just routine OB visits. No test, no management, no monitoring. After talking to moms in the IUGR group about how they are treated and getting 2nd opinions from other Obs, I switched to another Ob group and got immediate care such as weekly monitoring (NST etc) and a few tests to make sure the baby is doing ok. With the new ob group, I also had the freedom to work with other high risk maternal fetal medicine specialists in the area for ultrasounds etc.I have been so tired in this pregnancy worrying and researching things that an experienced and caring OB and MFM could have easily done and pointed me in the right direction. If I hadnt insisted for fundal height check and follow up growth scans, we might have completely missed the growth restriction diagnosis. This ob lack of basic training and empathy for patients.

This rating is for the business itself rather than the OB, who I had no issues with.I only found out that any procedures at the hospital would not be covered by my insurance, so I had to scramble to find a new OB for a time-sensitive procedure. They refused to refer me to another provider. I just wonder why they took me on as a patient if they knew my insurance wouldn’t be accepted. Also, the nurse/medical assistant who attended to me kept on calling me by the wrong name, even after I corrected them. 3 times in one appointment. This was in addition to a general feeling of inattentiveness.Overall I did not feel looked after by this practice at a vulnerable time, and I’m glad to have found better care elsewhere.

All all got from this clinic was lack of consideration and rude answers on the phone. Due to my husbands new job, I needed to move to California being 7 months pregnant. I called this clinic many times to schedule an appointment with Doctor Erika Balassiano, the attendants requested medical records before scheduling, which were sent on the same day of my first call. After that, I called many times to check if I could schedule the appointment. I was told that Doctor Ballassiano was reviewing my records and that I would receive a call. Its been more than 3 weeks since then and I got nothing. If you are not accepting new patients or did not approve them, be transparent and responsive, you just cannot say you accept new patients, ask for medical records, and then completely ignore them. Luckily, I did not wait for a call and I found a clinic with considerate people that did not leave a 7 months pregnant in the limbo for care.

I dont recommend this place and group of doctors to anyone who I know and care for. This is more of place for business, than caring for ppl.Only Dr. Azad is caring, but probably more caring by comforting you through her words.you need OBGYN to be with you, when things get complicated during pregnancy / delivery. they were not there for me. I am very sorry for myself that I did trust them.i was also referred to their therapist, after delivery. the person who you cannot find in forty five days and after your appointment finally reaches, they call to reschedule!!! this is not professional, when keep repeating....

I delivered my first child here. It was the worst experience of my life. I am thinking about filing an official complaint. I had an emergency C-section because the anesthesiologist did a horrible job administering my epidural. This led to me having a spinal leakage. The doctors/nurses didnt figure this out until the fourth day at the hospital. Everyday when they asked about my pain level I told them about my headache and no one said anything about the possibility of a spinal leakage! When the anesthesiologist on-call listened to my explanation and asked me to test to make sure it was a spinal leakage, which was very simple: to lay flat on my back, he was reluctant to provide care. It took them another day to have someone apply the blood patch. Imagine the hardship of having a day old child and one of the worst headaches of your life! At the end, there were no apologies.

They’ve so outdated office vaccination policy. I’m assisting my friend and I have my 2 doses of vaccines, I have my mask on and I’m not even sick and the ladies in the front desk doesn’t even let me to sit and wait my friend at the waiting room. They especially came and told me that I have to wait outside where there’s nowhere to sit, because I don’t have a 3rd booster and ‘this is their office policy’ .They also don’t accept tests and only Pcr even for visitors.??!!! I doubt how 3 day prior Pcr would be more effective than the antibodys which are done just at the moment. You can go any waiting room with a vaccination card and a mask. I’m so disappointed by their outdated office policy and I couldn’t help my friend whose husband is not with her for the visit and needed my support. Such a shame…

Im giving two stars because one of the nurses was very friendly and sweet. However this place is very unorganized (wrong birth date on my lab papers, telling me I didnt need a urine sample then after using the restroom telling me they DID need a sample, etc.) I also did not enjoy my experience with Dr. Balassiano. I made an appointment to go over some signs and symptoms I felt were related to a certain condition. I made the appointment over the phone and explained the reasons I wanted to be seen. Instead of a proper doctor appointment I was called into her back office where she seemed very distracted and didnt take the time to even look at the skin issues I was having. She said I needed to make a physical appointment for her to see me- Well why didnt someone explain this to me on the phone when I told them why I needed to be seen? What doctor doesnt look at the condition your complaining about? She proceeded to tell me its all about exercising and eating healthy- she absolutely did not listen to me or my concerns. It was a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.
