Dr. Hermann is great. She’s attentive listens and asks questions. I’m in my sixties and she knows exactly what I’m going through. Very thorough in her examination and explains everything well. I will continue to see her once a year for my follow up. All the staff members have been very nice and professional. Thank You!
This office is like any other healthcare for women. They have fully ignored what i have said i didn’t want and pushed that. I have been traumatized here mostly due to the lack of communication. Never felt seen or heard. Additionally they won’t put extra effort to help you, they just push you on to birth control. Truly they are there to make it easier for themselves and won’t work with you. I only have gone a handful of times and never have i had a good experience. Good luck getting to see a doctor unless you wanna wait 8 months. Make sure to plan your pain accordingly.
Love Dr. Fay and her staff. Everyone is beyond kind and helpful with anything you need. She makes you feel like you’re her most important patient not just another one in line. They have grown over the years and I still feel like they know me like the first time I can in with my first pregnancy in their tiny office.
This was my first time visit with Caring Center. Its a little hard to find, but just circle around the building and you will see the front door eventually. Every single staff member smiled and gave us her name. My partner was included in all aspects of my visit. Her staff informed us immediately that the doctor was held up in an operation and would be about 45 minutes late. Both she and her staff apologized for the delay. I felt very at home with her immediately. She was open and I understood her answers to my questions. This one is a keeper...
I moved to the area almost 2 years ago. After a year of searching for an OBGYN, I’m so happy I found DR. Schumann. She took time to review my chart in detail and asked a lots of questions. She patiently listened to me and answered all my questions. I felt very very comfortable with her throughout my appointment.
I see Dr Hermann and I’d recommend her highly. She always takes the time with me that I need so I never feel rushed and get a though exam. I think she is a great doctor and very in tune with her practice. The office its self is very nice and clean. It’s a big office and lots of patients. I’d prefer something smaller but will stick with it as I think the level of care is good.
My wait time was minimal. The exam was fast and efficient. Dr. Reid addressed all my concerns in an understandable way. She gave me information on mammogram and other procedures that I need to get done. I was comfortable and pleased with my visit.
I’ve been in awful life-ruining bladder pain for 6 months. I’ve went to every specialist, including 2 different urologists before I came to Dr. Irwin. The last urologist said, “I don’t know what is causing the pain, we’re sending you to pain management and I’ll see you in a year.” I felt hopeless and defeated. The wait to get into Dr. Irwin is long because she’s so good at what she does but when her scheduling department heard my story, they got me in within a few weeks. The first thing Dr. Irwin did was a pelvic exam and she immediately found out I have bladder prolapse. Neither of the 2 previous urologists performed a pelvic exam and they told me I didn’t have bladder prolapse when I kept telling them it felt like I did. They weren’t hearing me at all. Dr. Irwin is doing multiple tests thoroughly before we discuss the surgery that will fix anything else finds that is not working the way it should be. I’m so incredibly thankful for her. She has given me hope that I will not feel like this for the rest of my life when the other urologists made me feel like it was hopeless.
Dr hermann is ALWAYS a pleasure. Ive been going to her for over 10 years now and it was a relief to finally find a great OBGYN. She is patient, personable, thorough and seems to really care. I am now driving 3 hrs just for my appointments with her and dont mind at all. I even put my sis-in law onto her for her prenatal/labor care and she loves her.
Dr. Fay was hands down one of the best choices I made for my pregnancy journey. She was always kind, supportive and thorough. She respected all of our choices and gave great advice. My c-section recovery has been flawless and I have her to thank for it. I will miss seeing her so often but will continue to see her for my annuals. If you are trying to narrow down a choice for your OB you will not regret choosing Dr. Fay 😊
I highly recommend Caring Center for Women to anyone seeking outstanding OB-GYN care. The office staff are efficient and friendly, the facilities are pristine, and the medical assistants are knowledgeable and help you feel comfortable. I’ve been seeing Dr. Beth Reid in this practice for many years, and she is a rock star—patient, professional, kind, and so knowledgeable.
Dr. Fay is great! She listens and always has a treatment plan. Great bed side manner. I’ll continue seeing her for all my gynecological needs. Office is run smoothly and very clean. All staff is very friendly!
Dr. Beth Reid truly cares about her patients. I felt heard and supported during my visit. She was knowledgable and shared great valuable insights into maintaining great health.-Having a doctor who is patient and attentive makes such a difference in our healthcare experiences.-I highly recommend Dr. Reid!
This is what some people would refer to as a “pregnancy mill”. They move the patients through as if it is an assembly line. Just milking your insurance as they go along. If you have concerns or want to ask questions about why they have certain policies or procedures, they’ll just dismiss you with a non-answer like “this is just how we do it” or “we’re not sure, we’re just following our policy” instead of providing scientific information or medical statistics so you can make an actual educated decision about your own body. And if you start asking too many questions, you’ll get labeled as “non-compliant” and just ignored. Nobody knows your body better than you ladies. If something doesn’t feel right, speak up, and don’t be afraid to get a second opinion. I know there aren’t many options for OBGYN care in Texas anymore, but don’t come here.
This location has left me dissatisfied for two years in a row. Last year I waited well over an hour after my scheduled appointment. Then the doctor dismissed my concerns and made me feel rushed out the door . This year I talked about health concerns and they pushed birth control on me even after I said I was not interested. The front desk lady was rude and dismissive. Overall I feel like the healthcare providers here do not actually care about you and make you feel 100 percent like a box to check off to get money. Horrible will never be returning.
I have had plenty of experiences here, especially as of recent. I recently experienced the loss of my pregnancy and the nurse was very quick to get me in and seen in a timely manner. I had only seen Dr Blau, but they put me with Morgan while Dr Hermann came to assist since they were the only ones available, and they ended up being wonderful as well. They were very compassionate during the whole process of my miscarriage and Dr Hermann gave me the option to take time out of her schedule to preform a D&C the next morning if I wished. The only issue I have come across was a staff member at check-out (who no longer works there I guess) who when I asked if I needed a follow up appointment after my post-op asked, “Why would you need that if you are no longer pregnant?”. I think compassion is all that is needed from some of the staff members. In an emotional state, that was not what I needed to hear. However, overall, the doctors I have seen have been great and that one bad thing experience does not affect my view on the practice. When and if I become pregnant again, I would feel safe continuing my pregnancy care with the practice.
Unfortunately Dr Reid is not the best OBGYN for me. She spoke to me as if I was a child being scolded by a parent. She failed to wait for her nurse to return to the room before she started my physical exam. This has been the second time she has examined me prior to her nurse being present. I wanted a doctor that was compassionate and caring and for me I did not get that from Dr Reid.
Was SO nervous based on a previously terrible experience at a different doctors office. I made my apt 4 months ago and got called to reschedule, but it ended up working out because Dr. Hermann was so great. She did a full top to bottom overview of my concerns and put together a thorough treatment plan to make sure all issues were addressed. Was both speedy, but didnt feel rushed at all which was refreshing. Really glad I got in with her!
Dr. Fay is hands down the best doctor. She listens and communicates well, and has the best bed side manner. She helped me through my miscarriage and delivered my rainbow baby a few years later. She’s the absolute best!
My wife had a miscarriage and we went in for a consultation. They advised us on what to do and what to expect, and to schedule a visit for ~6 weeks after so they could check if everything had passed. Fast-forward to yesterday, we went to her follow up appointment and all they did was collect their fee and ask some questions, only to tell us to come back tomorrow for an ultrasound. So this first visit was just to collect a fee and ask a few questions that took a few minutes tops. Then when discussing the follow up, they said they didnt have availability for an ultrasound until the next day. This would not only require another payment, but require us to take more time off work. Why not combine that into one visit? It seems very obvious that their intention is to get money for additional visits - thankfully we have insurance (still had to pay the initial copay, and they were expecting us to pay another one today) but I cant imagine what kind of burden that puts on people with no insurance. Well be finding a provider who cares more about their patients than money, and I recommend others do the same.
The Caring Center for Women in New Braunfels, TX is the place to go if you want to feel comfortable with their caring and professional staff. My doctor, Dr Fay, is wonderful and upfront with her recommendations. Her friendly approach puts you at ease right away. Morgan Hurta, her Medical Assistant, is a jewel - patient, kind and professional. If you’re hurting they try to bring you in ASAP to help you out; that is priceless in my book. I’ve recommended them to everyone I’ve met needing their services. I am a die hard fan of this facility!
The office was so beautiful done and refreshing to see as most doctors offices are out dated and sterile. The staff was pleasant. Dr Beth Reid too the necessary time to meet with me without feeling rushed. Much appreciated.
I found Dr. Reid at Caring Center for Women in New Braunfels through an online search and recommendations on a community page as well as the NextDoor site. I have been very pleased with the facility itself but mostly go because Dr. Reid is a kind and attentive physician. She is easy to talk to and has answered any questions Ive had with kindness. My only issue is how long it can take to reschedule an appointment. Its a very busy office.
I was referred here by my insurance provider for my annual well visit. Everyone here is very friendly & welcoming. My provider was Morgan Hurta, MSN, APRN - Nurse Practitioner. She was very professional & made me feel comfortable. I will be recommending this facility to my daughter as well.
Dr Fay is such a caring Dr who has helped me out tremendously. Having had some complications with menopause, shes provided excellent care as well as treatment options that are working wonderfully.
This is a large office. I walked in and there were probably 20 people in the waiting room but I was taken back 10 minutes before my appointment time and I was out of the office 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I very much appreciated that they respected my time. All of the staff and doctors that I encountered were very friendly and professional.
I was hesitant to return to this facility after my visit with Dr Blaue last year. He was incredibly condescending to me. Dismissed my concerns as if I was an idiot for feeling that way, and his exam was not thorough at all. After realizing my insurance had limitations I went back and my experience has been a 10 since changing doctors.Dr Hermann may be the best Dr I have ever been to. She cared. She asked a lot of questions. She was really thoughtful about trying to help me with a diagnosis.I have also seen the nurse practitioner Morgan who is also very caring and thoughtful.I love that they have ultrasound and the ability to do blood tests at the facility. No need to schedule appts with a seperate facility. The staff is helpful. The office is clean and nice
The services and assistance provided at Caring Center for Women are impressive. This is a top-notch facility with knowledgeable doctors. Dr. Irwin was fantastic! She obviously cares about her patients, took the time to discuss my options and answer questions, and was willing to do whatever it took to help me with my health care needs. I highly recommend this facility and Dr. Irwin, she has provided me with a better quality of life after years of suffering! Thank-you!
Went here for an IUD placement in 2021 and let me tell you - it was horrible and I wouldn’t recommend it to an enemy. The male doctor was nice, but despite the fact it was my first IUD and I had never been through childbirth I was given very little information on what to expect. They manually dilated my cervix without even telling me to take anything for the pain before coming in - prescription or over the counter. The procedure took longer than normal and the doctor apologized midway through but did nothing to change methods, other than telling me the pain was from having to dilate my cervix.Since that awful experience, I have gone to another OBGYN and actually had to have the IUD removed and replaced (it had come out of place) and had a completely different experience. I was prescribed a pain med for the procedure as well as misoprostol to help soften my cervix - something which was NEVER mentioned as an option at the “Caring” Center for Women and made a major difference.Truly rotten experience and I’m still thinking about it 3 years later!
I just moved to Texas last summer. It is so hard to find a gyno who specializes in hormones and follows NAMS! I am so lucky to have found Dr. Beth Reid! The center is beautiful. The employees are amazing. I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time. Dr. Reid was COMPLETELY thorough with me. She is a no non-sense doctor which I prefer (meaning no sugar coating!!). You would think I would be able to sleep at night now....but menopause is keeping that from happening! LOL. The only drag is she is over an hour away from where I live in Blanco. However, I will make that drive just to see her and the staff. Thank you!
Nurse practitioner was absolutely amazing, extremely nice and friendly made you feel very comfortable. I mentioned a slight dissatisfaction with my current birth control and she quickly informed me about different options and helped me find a better option for me that was ready that day. very friendly staff all around doing a great job
This medical center is very much a for profit, and the patient care is less important than the billable appointments from my experience. I had an appointment, biopsy, third appointment for result of biopsy (which could easily have been a phone visit), and had a six-month scheduled, which I assumed would be an exam but it was another follow up- a 2-minutes appointment. I was asked to schedule a well visit when I left, but I decided I’m not going to continue here. Another serious gripe; my total in -office time has been fewer than 30 minutes. My time spent waiting has been 2:45. There is no apology or reason given. It’s as though their time is valuable enough to collect a LOT of money every time i walk in, but my time is not valuable and I’m not paid for being forced to wait on them for up to an hour each visit.
Dr. Hermann was GREAT! She was professional yet relatable. My last GYN experience with a different DR at a different practice was so bad that I had put off my appointments for 3 yrs. I can see why it takes a while to get in with Dr. Hermann, but it is worth it.
Didn’t disappoint! Dr. Irwin is professional yet down-to-earth…making a comfortable appointment. After much research, I found a Urogynocologist without having to go into Austin for appointments. Luckily she has privileges @ Santa Rosa Hospital in San Marcos, closer to me!
The waiting room was nice, and I didnt wait long at all. Dr. Beth Reid and her staff were professional and I was extremely happy with the care I received there. I would highly recommend her!
I went in for my second ever womens exam, asked my older sister about this new place and decided to try it. I got in with Dr. Blaue and he was extremely attentive, understanding, patient and described everything he was doing before doing it as well as during. He is an excellent doctor and I am excited to get on with the treatment he suggested to help ease some of my problems.
Amazing staff and great doctors. they are always available to help with any concerns. some of the best medical staff I have never worked with.
Dr. Irwin is a wonderful urogynecologist! Being a woman, she knows what her patient is experiencing. She answers questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. I love that her office uses cloth sheets instead of flimsy, paper ones!
Morgan was truly amazing. She was kind, compassionate and professional. She created a safe, comfortable environment for me. She listened to every concern I had and never made me feel rushed. The front staff was kind and was able to answer all the questions I had regarding my appointment. I will definitely be recommending this place!
So I came here because of the great reviews of Dr. fay Im 27 weeks pregnant and my work has me working 60 hour per week. Im exhausted, my work told me Amazon that I just need to get a doctors note to not have to work the 20 hour of over time every week so I can just work my normal schedule. Dr. fay said that because Im not high risk now pretty much sorry cant help you. My husband reached out to the office and spoke with the office manager that just restated what the Dr. Fay told me. The front office is beyond rude, but Dr. fay seemed nice enough. Standing on your feet 60 hour a week is exhausting while being 27 weeks pregnant. You can look it up working this many hours can cause me to have complications and I dont want it to come to that. Its like she doesnt care that Im suffering and that Im exhausted. This is my third child Ive never had to go through something like this with my doctor. Im an immigrant from Thailand waited years to move to the USA and I feel like Im being treated like a second-class citizen. Im not one to use my race as an excuse but maybe thats what it is. Ive lived in this wonderful country for four years that I now call home, and this is the first time Ive felt this way. MY husband and I work hard and have never taken handouts, we are just trying to do our best and I hate that I feel this way.
My sister had a horrible birth experience with schumann. Something strange fell out of my sister the day after birth. ?what? looked like a liver, nurses said blood clot, but it was huge like an organ. Placenta? Our mother said this so-called doctor was yanking? on that placenta where it should only be assisted. My sister was miserable until that thing fell out. Was she delivering? Then she had relief?, makes me think it was part of the placenta. The schumann said it was her husbands birthday and was having dinner with him. Soooo? was she in a hurry to leave? At dilation 5, my sister got put to bedrest in the hospital? Extra money? For who? and delivers the next day.. i have 5 kids. I remember walking around trying to get the dilation to move along quickly. The day i went in was the day i delivered! My sister said she called for a check-up appt, but now this lady schumann will not return her calls. ?malpractice of placenta getting torn or strange blood clot? Why did nurses in the hospital not report it? She got a new doc, and he said he gets a lot of schumann patients. Why?This poser doctor needs to be reviewed. Who will sue schumann? Or this practice will get sued? How much can they get sued for malpractice? She has poor patient care manners. Who else thinks her husband is just a mooch? why does he not respect her career? Or was this her ownself over her hippocratic oath to do no harm.Took my sister awhile to heal in natural delivery. Schumann never said anything how to do that? Why not? I was told cleaning care and BM care as well. My kids are now 20s, and wouldnt new educated doctors have better care for their patients? Money? Passion for being wealthy & title? Not about caring for the mother and child.
Truly a Caring center. Dr. Schumann is a very caring doctor who is patient and kind and professionally knowledgeable. Highly recommend this center.
Had a female problem visit male dr did not understand me. There answer was you just need to learn to live with that. Most women have that problem. DR.TERESA IRWIN TOLD ME THATS NOT TRUTH I CAN FIX IT. SHE DID. SO GLAD I FOUND HER.
I went for the first time today and I had an amazing experience. I was greeted and checked in as soon as I walked in. I was taken to the back at the exact time of my appointment. The doctor saw me just a few minutes after the nurse took my vitals and asked some questions. Everyone was friendly and kind. The clinic is beautiful, modern, and incredibly clean. A great experience overall!
The Caring Center for Women was professional and efficient. My experience became very comfortable with Dr. Fay’s entrance. She was friendly and understanding while she explained in detail the findings of my MRI and what my options might be. She ensured that my procedures were booked in a timely fashion. The entire appointment allowed me to feel relaxed and confident that I was placing my care in professional and competent hands. I highly recommend Dr. Fay, she is a jewel!
Dr. Fay is wonderful. Answering any questions/asking questions about any of my health issues. Takes her time to listen and not in a hurry to go on to the next patient. Her office staff is great too. Would highly recommend her if you’re looking for an ob/gynecologist.
Dr. Reid was amazing! Appointment was smooth and fast. I especially appreciated that she took extra time to answer questions and concerns that I wanted addresses. She provided the OBGYN experience Ive had. Thank you so much!
This is a great place! The staff is considerate and experienced. I saw Dr. Reid for a well-woman exam. She was excellent - extremely gentle and very knowledgeable, with a light bedside manner and she was generous with her time, as well. I really appreciated it!
Dr. Blaue was my OB and he was amazing! He is a great listener and his calm and confident demeanor put me at ease throughout my entire pregnancy. His compassionate by the book treatment of my preeclampsia and a series of quick, excellent calls by him and his partners saved my life and now my husband and I have a beautiful baby girl! We were in and out of the hospital for 3 weeks, and I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Fay and Dr. Hermann delivered our baby via an emergency C section and I can tell you that this practice works together as an efficient and reliable team. The nurses answer all questions promptly through the portal and give you a call back within a day and the scheduling department is friendly and kind. Their lab tech was excellent! Easily and painlessly drawing blood on the first try, every time! The office is clean, quiet and well decorated. I only have great things to say about Caring center for women! Highly recommend!
Highly recommend Dr. Blaue. He is not only a professional physician, he cares & listens to concerns. Staff is awesome! Thank you ladies!
I had my first appt with this office in March and did not have a good experience. It was uncomfortable and I felt rushed to leave and as if the questions I had were uncomfortable for him to answer. I decided to go back but this time specifically asked for a woman. Dr Reid showed up and made me feel so much better- she listened, she explained and she never made me feel uncomfortable or like she was watching the clock. She definitely saved my opinion of the office and I will definitely return for future care.
Caring Ctr for women is the absolute place to go. The clinic is very clean staff is super nice. Dr. Reid was amazing. Very friendly, listened and explained everything very well. Answered my questions doubts without rushing me. The medical assistant/nurse was also beyond nice. Highly recommend Dr. Reid and the clinic.
Absolutely loved going here! They made me feel very cared for! Very help and gave advice in areas I needed it! For sure one of my best experiences!
Dr. Schumann is absolutely amazing. I have never been able to confidently refer an OB before, but with Dr. Schumann I cannot refer her enough. When I first discovered I was pregnant and told people who my current doctor at the time was, it was strongly suggested that I consider switching doctors. So I did my research and saw the Dr. Schumann was recommended by several people. We had a very difficult pregnancy and I cannot imagine being with any doctor other than Dr. Schumann. She listened and took time to answer any and all of my questions. I never felt rushed or like my question was dumb/common knowledge. She, herself, is truly caring. She is very calm and cool, but in control of the saturation. I felt that I was in the absolute best hands. I truly cannot say enough good things about her. It was such a blessing to have her as my doctor.
Dr Fay is an excellent doctor and explains things very well. I would recommend her for your OBGYN doctor here in New Braunfels.
Great experience here. Everyone was friendly and professional. The doctor was attentive to my concerns and not rushing me. The woman who did my blood draw was very friendly and put me at ease. Office is clean and beautifully decorated. Wait time was short.
Dr. Reid and her staff are awesome. I’m 27 and don’t want kids, so I decided to get my tubes taken out. I was a bit nervous to pursue sterilization because I’ve heard some horror stories of young women encountering disrespect and paternalism from doctors. But she was super supportive, explained all the medically relevant details to me, and her staff even helped me handle insurance and scheduling. My bisalp was scheduled quickly and was super easy. No problems at all so far during recovery!
I’ve been going to CCW for over 19 years. That says it all. Dr Reid and her staff are top notch!
I had seen Dr. Hermann several years ago. I was very satisfied with her taking the time to listen to my concerns and recommendations she gave. I decided to go back to see her this week. Dr. Hermann is very compassionate and takes the time to listen carefully to your concerns and giving good medical advice. The facility is clean and the staff are friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Hermann for any of your gynecological needs.
The Doctors at CCW are Amazing. Always showing true professionalism and compassion for their patients. Thank you
I just gave birth to my firstborn under the care of Dr. Hermann. I could not have asked for better care or a better delivery. It is easy to see how passionate Dr. Hermann is about her practice and her patients care. She truly listens to your concerns and builds a great patient to provider relationship. The whole staff at Caring Center are very friendly and helpful. It is also very convenient that their lab is in office. We really feel so lucky to have found Dr. Hermann and the Caring Center.
So I have seen two doctors here and really don’t get the positive reviews. The first doctor was less than knowledgeable. The next one was even worse! Dr. Blaue has no bedside manner and doesn’t listen to his patients. God forbid you have something serious - would be the worst doctor to guide you through that. I caution everyone to go see this doctor he is very cold and tries to force you into procedures that aren’t needed.
I was already a current patient for this office. Dr. Blaue had done a previous surgery. When I came in for my pregnancy confirmation visit the staff and Dr. were very welcoming and showed great hospitality. They were amazing throughout the whole process. Dr. Blaue always addressed my concerns in the most professional way. He presented things in a very logical manner, which in return helped me make proper decisions as well as help me cope during stressful times.
Dr. Beth is EXCELLENT! Knowledgeable! Competent! Patient! and Kind! She takes her time to listen to all questions. Her staff is also nice too. 10 stars!
I highly recommend Caring Center for Women to all my friends looking for a new lady doctor. Everyone I know who comes here always have great things to say about the doctor they see. The staff is always friendly when you walk through the door and entire office is always clean.Dr. Hermann has been my doctor for years now and I honestly wont see anyone else. She makes me feel at ease and completely comfortable the entire appointment.I met her 5 years ago when I was in the ER. I was scared at of my mind at the time, and had yet to have a yearly checkup... ever. Dr. Hermann made me feel very comfortable and I immediately started making appointments with her following my emergency surgery. She truly cares about her patients and actually makes conversation with them.
Dr. Reid is very informative, listens, doesn’t make you feel rushed, and seems to genuinely care about your health and concerns. So often we, as patients, end up at a doctor appointment and get very little feedback on our issues, just the bare minimum with little to no information or follow up. Dr. Reid spent a great deal of time and effort to discuss menopause and all of the ins and outs of what comes with it, what is treatable and the options available. My exam was pleasant and never painful. She went the extra mile to make sure I understood everything and never felt like I was a burden or a number. Thank you!
Dr. Irwin is an excellent physician. She is very thorough with medical evaluations. She listened carefully and provided clear, detailed treatment plans. She spent a significant amount of time with me.
I really wanted to be a patient with one of these doctors. However when I called to schedule a new patient visit scheduler was rude and unprofessional. She offered me an appt 2-3 months from now even if I told her I was due to repeat an abnormal test. She just told me well I dont have your results so I dont know. She also mention it would have to be with a male provider but I was requesting a female which that would put me further out to schedule. Sadly I didnt move further than a scheduler. Honestly if you have to be dealing with this kind of people like this scheduler is better to look somewhere else.
I highly recommend Caring Center for Women. The staff and medical providers are all well informed, caring and make things as easy as possible.
Got rushed out of the door as soon as my payment was collected none of my concerns were addressed
Schumann is a wonderful, hands on and detail oriented physician. She listens to her patients and responds accordingly. She is extremely knowledgeable and gives in-depth explanations to any patient questions but also about any imminent procedure or appointment. I never felt confused, unheard or not treated appropriately. One of the best OB’s I’ve ever had. I have 3 children. She delivered my last. I wish I found her sooner.
Dr Herman it’s amazing Doctor she understand and care about her patient.
I went in curious if hormone levels were at play regarding my mood and temperature fluctuations. Id had blood work that suggested they might be out of balance. Dr. Hermann was not only dismissive of my concerns, she didnt even assess my mental health status related to the mood issues I referenced. She didnt offer me any other options than portion control and exercise. While exercise is a valid suggestion, the way she discussed diet was so steeped in diet culture I wanted to run out. I specifically requested she not make fad diet recommendations as Im working on my relationship with food and my body. She proceeded to condescendingly explain portion control (without even assessing if I was overeating), recommended weight watchers, and recommended intermittent fasting. At that point, I reminded her that I didnt want fad diet recommendations and she continued to explain what intermittent fasting was. She then described mindful eating to me in a way I would talk to my 6 year old. I was so angry I was crying. She told me that I was waking in the middle of the night and soon to take leave from my job because life is hard with two littles coming out of a pandemic, and that I would be OK. The validation is fine but to just then tell me I just have to deal with it because this stage of life is hard is negligible. She didnt offer solutions. She didnt offer medication. She looked at my labs and dismissed them despite a lack of clarity on where I was in my cycle when my blood was drawn. She didnt offer to get new labs drawn to rule out hormonal issues. My mother started going through menopause at 40 (my age). What harm would it have done to take some more labs to be sure? Ive never felt so awful coming out of a doctor appointment. I dont usually leave reviews, but it is not OK to make a person feel this way. I certainly hope she assesses newly postpartum mamas moods with more care.
In the middle of my pregnancy last year, my insurance was changed and I had to find a new doctor and be delivered at a new hospital. I was so happy that Dr. Fay at Caring Center For Women took me on as a patient. I was immediately impressed with the office. I rarely have to wait long at all. Staff are very professional and friendly. Everything is very clean and nice. Dr. Fay is so kind and makes you feel very comfortable. She answers all my questions and never makes me feel rushed. She delivered my baby and I was so happy to have her there. It has been a true blessing to find her, and she will continue to be my doctor from now on!
Dr Fay is a wonderful, caring and compassionate doctor. I’ve been coming to see her for years and she’s always so pleasant. Always concerned about my wellbeing. Offers advice for my concerns.
I always loved coming to see Dr Herman. When my own physician refers me out to a gyno I always choose her even though she is an hour drive. I would like to thank her for her knowledge, her kindness and her warmth.
Dr. Hermann is a great doctor. From the first pre-natal visit to the delivery of our child she has been caring, professional, and available. Youd be hard pressed to find a doctor that will care more for you than Dr. Hermann. The staff at the Caring Center for Women are very friendly and efficient. The wait times are typically pretty good. Its a clean place with a good vibe.
Dr. Irwin is an amazing doctor, she listens to her patients and helps to solve your health issues.
The check-in was efficient and the wait period was fairly short. The receptionist was friendly. The nurse attendant was nice, but it seemed she was distracted and not as personable. The check-out person was very nice and she made you feel important to her. Dr. Irwin, as always, was very professional as well as very friendly. She was thorough and efficient in the exam and interview. And she had some good suggestions concerning things I could do to improve my lifestyle. She took the time to inquire about my family and to tell me a little about hers, making me feel at ease. All in all, it was a good experience.
Dr. Blaue has been fantastic. We never feel rushed and he always answers every question. The office staff have been great too....my only word of caution is do not waste your time or money with thier 3D ultrasound technician....go to Moon River ultrasound in New Braunfels. Way more comfortable and patient plus support local business!
I was only there for a second opinion and if I didn’t love my current OB/GYN I felt Dr. Blaue would be a close runner up as an awesome doctor. His office staff up front and check in personnel need some serious work on their personalities. Oh, and please read the terms and conditions of the app they send you to check in and put your medical history on, the app shares your information so READ the terms and policies!! But otherwise I really liked Dr. Blaue.
This is a review of the office itself and not the doctors - I used to see Dr. Fay, she delivered my son and I absolutely love her, the only reason I am leaving is she no longer delivers at CTMC - This review is based off of an issue I am currently experiencing. As part of moving to a new OBGYN, I needed to get my records transferred and I decided to have them emailed to me so I could have a copy for my own records and also provide them to my new OBGYN; I requested my complete records including doctors/nurses notes. I was told to have them emailed directly to me would cost me $25.00. I find it strange that Id have to pay for my own records, but I agreed. Today I got a call that my records are ready, and all of a sudden that $25 charge is only for the first 20 pages, every page after that is $0.50 bringing my total to have my own records emailed to me to $109.00. During that conversation, I was informed that to have the records emailed directly to a doctors office would incur no charge what so ever. When I expressed shock at all of this, the woman I spoke to insisted she told me about the $0.50 per page after 20 policy, and I told her no maam she didnt, and that I had stated in the email with the medical release form that I understood I was incurring a flat $25.00 charge; she asked me who I sent that email to and I told her Id sent it to her (which I would think shed seen as she requested the medical release form be emailed directly to her). She told me there was nothing more she could do, but that I could leave a message with the office manager, which I did, I am waiting on a call back now. I just cannot reconcile that the exact same amount of work required to send MY records to another doctors office is free, but for ME to get a copy of MY records, they want $109.00?! To be completely honest, I am sketched out at how much they want to charge me for my own records.
I really enjoyed my whole experience with Dr. Herman. She was initially a little apprehensive about my desire to give birth naturally & without pain medication, but when the time came she respected my decision fully and even praised me after successfully giving birth without needing medication. She was very helpful throughout the whole pregnancy and was very real with me about her expectations for me and how they would help me have a great delivery. She is always so concerned about not causing me pain and was a great coach on the day of my birth. She made sure to be there on the day of my daughters birth even though it was at 1:30 am ! Thank you Dr. Herman for all you did and for helping my recovery go smoothly ❤️
Dr. Schumann was phenomenal and took such good care of us during our pregnancy and delivery. She was patient, knowledgeable, professional, personable, patient, and beautifully delivered our baby. You’re in great hands with Dr. Schumann!Dr. Blau was very kind and we know couples who had a great experience with him, but in our experience we found him unwilling to take ownership of his mistakes which caused break in trust for our family.
If I could leave a zero star, I would!!The receptionist are extremely rude and distasteful. They go out of their way to make you extremely uncomfortable and felt unwanted. Honestly, I’ll give them a run for their money next time I see them. The nurses are good/kind. (That’s the only positive thing I have to say about this establishment)Now moving on the Dr’s… I highly recommend to NOT see Dr Blau. He is the most demeaning and just flat out arrogant. Dr Herman, she’s good but not the best. None is the Dr’s really care to explain or break things for first time Mothers. I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant with my first child and tomorrow will be my LAST appointment ever with this place. Their entire staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. If you need recommendations…. Go see Dr. Blair. He’s WONDERFUL.
Clean, friendly, professional, and accommodating. I’m a patient of Dr. Schumann’s. Both she and her team’s bedside manners are incredible. As a new patient, they had me scheduled within a week. Every concern was addressed appropriately, and she provided referrals to specialists immediately following the appointment. Mrs. June, the nurse running the admin portion of the clinic, followed up with both the specialist I needed to see and corrected insurance concerns I had with one of them. She managed to have my appointments and approvals within 24 hours of my last visit to the CCW. Incredible work ladies! Not to mention, I had a scare today and needed to make a last minute appointment, and they had me in the clinic within the hour. Unbelievable. I love you ladies, and I’m so grateful to have found you! Keep up the great work!
Over all the Drs are nice and when I 1st started going here really took the time to go out of their way to assist with issues. However, after 4 years here it now takes 4 months to get an appointment and good luck if you must reschedule, it will be another 4 months. I also do not like the recommendation of now every 3 years for a pap especially since ovarian cancer runs in my family. The practice has become overly crowed, wait time to get an appointment is too long and even in the office your wait time to see the Dr is 45mins + and then I feel like the whole appointment with the Dr is rushed because of over scheduling.
I am pleased with the service I receive here. Dr Schumann was by OB through my pregnancy, unfortunately I went into labor a few days early and Dr Reid delivered my baby, so I cant say what Dr Schumann was like during delivery. Although I am confident I would have been pleased with how she handled it. She listened to every one of my concerns throughout the pregnancy and gave me advice.I have had my postpartum appointment and she gave me great advice. I really enjoy how professional but caring she is. She never once makes you feel like any question is too big or too small to ask.The nurses are all very sweet as well as the rest of the staff. They remember you even with all the other patients they see day in and day out. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing an OB/GYN
Admittedly as a Practice Administrator for a Practice with several clinics in the New Braunfels area, I tend to be a little more critical than the average patient. In addition, observing for any areas of opportunity for my practice that I can learn from another. That said, I was overall very impressed by Caring Center for Women. The Receptionist, albeit very busy (which is a good sign) was still very friendly & helpful. My Medical Assistant, also visibly busy, did not make me feel “rushed” as we quickly moved through the intake process. I commend her on her professionalism & efficiency. I was then greeted by a very kind & warm PA or NP student who took notes & shared her clinical/academic journey. Having students rotate through my clinics, I’m a huge fan of taking the time to teach our future Clinicians! She was so sweet & knowledgeable. Very shortly after I met with Dr.Herman who you would’ve thought had no other patients at that time but me with her exceptional bedside manor. I wasn’t rushed & felt immediately comfortable & welcomed as a part of the Caring Center family. Even my checkout was flawless. Kudos Caring Center for Women! I wish you the best sweet student & will see your exceptional team again next year!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Hermann for approx 6 years and she has been so consistent. She provides knowledge/info at a level I can comprehend & I highly appreciate that. She is also personable and friendly so your visit with her isn’t nerve wracking whatsoever. Dr. Hermann is OUTSTANDING.
Dr. Herman Is a awesome doctor and if I was to guess she’s just as awesome woman outside of her occupation. She’s always smiling and very interested in her patients and staff. She’s a great listener and definitely treat you with respect and dignity. She makes you feel comfortable talking to her and I’m able to explain to her anything that I may feel embarrassed about. She takes her time with you, goes over everything with you and even provide self help tools for you. Both my daughters, my sister, and few friends are her patient. My family and I have been her patients for nearly 6 + years. She has saved my life twice. As long as Dr. Herman remains in health care I will follow her. Excellent, excellent doctor. In addition, she asks about my family even if they don’t have an appointment. She’s absolutely amazing
Dr. Reid has really helped me to understand my options and the risks associated with each. I feel like she listens to me and takes the time to help me get comfortable with decisions. Thanks Dr. Reid!
Love this place! Would highly recommend! Dr. Schumann is amazing and so patient, knowledgeable and kind.
A very pleasant visit. Dr. Herman delivered my first child and I am so happy she will be my doctor for my second. The has great energy and makes me feel comfortable and like she genuinely is excited for me! The office and exam rooms are clean and bright and decorated nicely. All the staff were very friendly and they did a covid screening for everyone before they sat in the lobby. I would highly recommend Caring Center for Women and Dr. Herman.
Dr. Teresa Irwin is truly interested in getting you on the road to better health. I had a bad female organ prolapse and was miserable. She is easy to talk to and answers all of your questions very thoroughly. She is a very dedicated doctor and very professional. She was highly recommended to me by my primary doctor whom I have been seeing for 20 years so I trust him. Thank you, Dr. Irwin, for your expert advice and taking care of my health issues.
Dr. Fay is a wonderful doctor. She doesnt make you feel like a number but a person. I highly recommend her. Shr is very patient and explains everything so you can understand.
It took a while to get my appointment, but once I was seen everything went smoothly and I felt well cared for. All of the staff was helpful and informative about my medical needs and how the office processes would impact my medical care. Im looking forward to my next visit.
Dr. Schumann is absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond throughout my entire pregnancy with my baby girl to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. She always takes her time to ensure all questions and concerns are fully addressed. She truly does care about her patients.
My doctors office closed when I was 35 weeks pregnant. This is the only place I could find that would take me this late, and took my insurance.Talked to Dr. Blaue about what I wanted for labor and he said no, I’m going to do what I want because I’m a doctor. That’s no way to treat someone, you should have choices it’s your body. I’m low risk. They told me they would refund me, since the required the doctor fee up front. They returned some but not all and will not respond to messages or voicemails.
Dr Schumann is the best GYN I have ever experienced. She has a very calm manner, she’s very gentle, she listens, and office visits are never rushed. She explains procedures and answers questions in language anyone can understand. She makes me laugh every time I see her.
This was my first time at the office, Morgan was amazing and so was her nurse. They answered the questions I had.
Dr. Schumann is awesome! We chose her to be our OBGYN for delivery of our daughter and from the first appointment to delivery, she has been informative, and very communicative. She is on top of everything and was so great during delivery!
So I had an interesting experience here having my baby..They were really good about squeezing me in when I was having pain or issues.. Except the time I told them I was leaking fluid and they sent me to Labor and Delivery who said “nope it’s not amniotic fluid you’re fine” and nothing was ever said about it after..Now The truly FRUSTURATING part for me was when I decided I needed to move to be closer to family and changed ob’s at 35 weeks pregnant. My new OB told me IMMEDIATLY that I would need a c section for two reasons.. one my baby was breech and two I had EXTREMLY LOW FLUID.. two things I was NEVER told in any of my visits with Dr. Fay. I went to her concerned about this exact thing and she brushed me off. I had my daughter by emergency c section at 37 weeks due to my fluid being so low.So to sum it up. I tell Dr Fays office i think im leaking fluid. They tell me no im not... 2 weeks after i leave this doctor because im moving i end up having an emergency c section because i had such low fluid. Makes me wonder what the heck would have happened had i not moved?I went 35 weeks with this Dr and was also never informed that my baby was not head down.. had I gone into early labor I would have been surprised with a c-section despite that I had been planning a VB. I understand that things could have changed and my baby could have turned in the time between 35-40 weeks but I wasn’t even warned AT ALL and I find that very troubling especially since it was my first baby and I didn’t even know that a c section would be required for those issues..Over all I felt like they didn’t care about me or my baby.. and I’m glad that I ended up moving in my third trimester and was taken care of by my new DR.
They provide top notch caring and professional services DR Lauren Herman is the best
Went in for my annual well woman exam. Nurse Practitioner Morgan saw me and did a superb job. Always explaining things when I had a question and talking me through everything she did. Great job, Morgan!
Dr Hermann is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. She is such a good person and cares about you. She always takes the time to listen, explain and even ask about the family. You cannot ask for a better human!
Had my annual appointment with Dr. Reid and was so pleased to be seen in a timely fashion AND I absolutely love Dr. Reid! She is professional, kind, informative and compassionate…what we wish all doctors were!
Dr. Kari Fay is one of the best doctors Ive ever had. I felt completely confident with my care in her hands. She is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but also has amazing bedside manner and hasnt lost her human touch. She patiently listened to my concerns, offered solutions and always has time for my questions. In my opinion, Dr. Fay is the epitome of what every doctor should strive to be. Im grateful she was my doctor.
I love Dr. Lauren Hermann! I am very particular when it comes to medical care. She and Dr. Faye treated me prior to pregnancy for hormone related issues. I was on birth control for 5 years to help with this issue without much improvement before Dr. Hermann became my doctor. I had cystic acne, severe abdominal pain, long, painful, heavy menstrual cycles, crazy mood swings, depression, poly cysts, eczema, gray hair at 15 years old, psychological issues, and more. My hormones tested with in healthy ranges every time. After a couple of years of her monitoring me, I found out it was a dietary intolerance to cows milk and gluten. She was so ecstatic to hear I had found relief in all of the above as well as my vision improved, I required less sleep and felt more rested, my asthma disappeared, I no longer visited the ER monthly due to pain, etc. She is compassionate, hilarious, and highly intelligent. I trust her completely. The staff and nurses at this location are very thorough, attentive, and compassionate as well. The front desk girl knows me by first name as soon as I walk in the door and greets me with a big smile every time. They are very good a keeping me well informed and up to date. Everyone has a professional attitude with a pleasant demeanor. They are clearly very busy but I never feel rushed or that my concerns are put to the side. The facility is quite spiffy as well. I live in San Marcos and there is a closer facility that I used to go to and they are great but I prefer this one. Dr. Hermann goes to both.
Highly recommend Dr Fay and Caring Center for Women in New Braunfels. The office staff is always friendly, I rarely wait more than 15 min in the waiting room (previous ob’s I would wait minimum 1 hr), and Dr Fay is awesome! She is warm, patient and very good at what she does. She delivered my second born via repeat c section after some complications during pregnancy. She kept me informed and calm and delivered my baby girl safely. I wish I would’ve known about her and this office for my firstborn as the experiences were night and day different. If you are considering switching Ob’s - don’t walk- run! You won’t regret it. ☺️
Im so grateful for Dr. Lauren Herman!! I had (2 myomectomy surgeries) and still currently suffer from uterine fibroids. Which I thought was going to cause me a difficult pregnancy. That was not an issue for Dr. Herman, she made me feel at ease with my fibroibs and the delivery of my baby. She informed us of all worse case scenarios so my husband and I could prepare our selves. Thanks to her and God we delivered a healthy baby boy!! Im so grateful to have such a great doctor!! God bless Dr. Lauren Herman 🙏❤
This was a beautiful facility. The staff at the front and back desks were wonderful! Mrs. June the OB nurse was extremely kind and understanding. The two nurses who drew blood on my visits were nice and we talked like old friends. All of these ladies are why the Center gets three stars because they truly do seem to care. Unfortunately it is the doctor that drops two stars. When consulting Dr. Herman on our first visit we expressed the impossibility of my husband and I conceiving, yet here we were in her office, PREGNANT! I told her that we wanted her to help us have a healthy baby.We were comfortable with her confidence in her ability to handle high risk pregnancies. As it turns out, each time we asked about her prior experience, the question was deflected and we were told how good her “research” is. We began to have misgivings which came to a head after our second appointment. She told us when she would address my health issues/concerns in the second appointment. I called the nurse I double check I’d heard correctly. When I confirmed what she said, my husband got on the phone and voiced our concern. The nurse hesitantly said she could talk to the doctor but maybe I should switch doctors. After ONE attempt questioning the doctor in effort to better understand?!?She did speak with her and Dr. Hermann did suggest we see a different doctor. I asked the nurse to wait for me to get back to her.It didn’t matter what I wanted. Eleven weeks into my pregnancy Dr. Hermann dropped me.My husband and I were greatly bothered at first, but now we consider it a blessing. We have found a more seasoned doctor who isn’t a risk-taker with what may be the only baby my husband and I have together. If you aren’t a high risk and just want someone to tell you what to do, Dr. Hermann seems like a good doctor. But don’t question her judgement. You may get dropped like us.Blessings to every baby carrying Momma looking for a doctor, especially the miracle ones like ours!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I started going here when I was roughly 30 weeks with my 1st. Receptionists have always been rude. Nurses were kind and I thought all the doctors were good.( I had to see all of them at one point or another for some reason). I came back for my current pregnancy and I cannot stand it. Receptionists have just gotten worse, I have been hung up on, I have been put on hold and my call just ended. I had a new insurance and didn’t have my card on me yet so I gave them all the info and they said that would work for my appointments until I got it. I go in for my appointment and they were trying to send me home saying that it wasn’t ok I actually needed the card. I live in Lockhart now so that was VERY irritating. I’m still waiting to hear back results from blood tests, checked the portal, left a message on their portal, even called. No one has given me an answer. The Nurse Kaycee, I felt like she really didn’t care about any of my concerns or worries or about what was going on. Kaycee, Dr Herman’s Nurse is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever came across. She will try to help 1 time and when you try to get answers she will just hang up on you. I will never recommend this place to anyone. It’s a feeling of they only look at you like a dollar sign and not a person. Doctors are still good. But just not worth it. I switched as fast as I could out of this place. NEVER again.
This place is perfect and all the workers, nurses and doctors are amazing!!
My husband and I have LOVED our time with Dr. Schumann throughout our pregnancy. She has been so informative, supportive and has listened to any questions I have had with our pregnancy. Everyone we have worked with in the office has been absolutely fantastic, I can’t recommend them enough!
The Caring Center for Women certainly has a correct name! Dr. Hermann and the entire staff are indeed caring, concerned, comforting and professional. I highly recommend this clinic.
Went today to see Dr. Reid about pelvic pain I had been having and right from the beginning I could tell this was a mistake. Her demeanor is rude, arrogant, and NOT CARING at all for a place called caring center. She said its just your bowels or gas and just take birth control. It may or may not happen again, she didnt even know for sure sounded like. I had many questions and it felt like she just wanted to rush me out of there and I had to talk fast to get any info out of her. She wasnt helpful and wasnt concerned. Do not go here!!!
Donna, Dr Irwin and Dr Schuman are all Heaven sent! Before them I did not know what was wrong with me or how to feel better! They listened to me they talk to me about thing and we made a plan and figured things out! I feel wonderful now! Thank you! Everyone is wonderful! The nurses and admin staff are all so friendly and nice! Love them all!
As a new patient, Dr. Fay was attentive to my medical history and took her time with me. I did not feel rushed. All of my questions were answered while she gave me several options for treatment. I felt well taken care of and have peace moving forward that I am in good hands with Dr. Fay.
I moved into the area in March and needed to find a new provider. Finding new providers when you relocate is scary because you have to reach outside of your comfort zone and leave behind the relationship youve developed with your prior provider.Everyone at the office was really nice and gave me clear instructions for providing medical information before my visit and what to expect when I arrived.Dr. Reid was amazing! She is extremely professional and knowlegable. She listened and provided insight and tanglible solutions and information. I am so thankful I found her.
I have had multiple doctor’s in the past and this is by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Every appointment, Dr. Herman is very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The clinic is very clean and all of the staff are always very amiable. The only women’s care facility I recommend to anyone.
Dr. Fay is friendly and you get the feeling you have known her for a long time. The practice was booked 3-4 months out,, and I am glad this was routine and I didnt need to get in right away. That just says how good they are, and everyone wants to go here. Something New Braunfels has been needing, a practice for women!
What a joke of a practice. They are generally an hour late for every appointment, which given the nature of the job- okay I’ll look past it. However, I had an appointment late morning and they called me 15 minutes before the appointment to tell me the doctor wasn’t going to be in! And I would have seen anyone in the group but apparently no one had a spare slot. The front office staff is always rude and unapologetic, which again I can over look because they aren’t my physician. However the canceling of the appointment with 0 warning and no flexibility when I now have to pay a sitter that was so challenging to get- put me over the edge. Secondly, I had my annual apt and went to it... I got my IUD places and they forgot to do the Pap smear. So now I have to not only pay for another appointment, but also deal with the scheduling drama. Find a practice that has a caring staff from start to finish and puts patient’s first.
Dr Fay is the kindest, most compassionate doctor I have ever been to. She will sit down and just talk to you face to face for as long as you need her to. I’ve been going to her for years and she just keeps getting better. Love her!
Dr Herman is awesome and very calming and supportive. The office Staff are not so friendly and not very helpful, almost Like they do not enjoy their jobs or helping other women. I am due to have my second baby in June and I look forward To working with dr Herman. I probably won’t be back though unless they get better office staff. Will update once I deliver.
Love Caring Center for Woman. Front desk receptionist greeted me with a smile, waited a short time before seeing Dr. Hermann, she is very comforting and what a great dr. with a cheery disposition! She is Very knowledgeable and very thorough, she walks you thru everything she is doing. I’m very happy that I found her!
I saw Dr. Schumann I was a new patient and her staff was very friendly! I highly recommend her as a Dr. she took her time looked over my medical records allll the way back to 2016 she didnt rush or anything. She gave her honest straight forward opinion and thats exactly what I wanted/needed. She doesnt force medications on you or anything she explains reasoning as to why she may want you to get certain things done as injections and lets you decide unlike other dr offices that say you need something and want you to decide right then and there. From the point of scheduling all the way through the end of the visit was great! Shes a good Dr and I highly recommend.
If I could give zero stars I would for front office alone.I dont know which nurse I spoke to or what she was but she was incredibly rude when she spoke to me and told me I needed to fill out a form when I tried to grab the pen I thought she was trying to hand me she yelled at me not to rip anything from handAnd the proceeded to tell me I was going to *just figure out * the form and walked away.
The Caring Center for Women is the best doctors office I have ever been to. All the staff is so nice and the doctors really take interest in you. They made me feel so comfortable and answered all my questions in a way that made sense to me. I have also never waited for more than 5 minutes in the lobby.
Ive been a Caring Center for Women patient since 2011 and I absolutely love the service and staff. They always make me feel so comfortable and answer all my questions. Dr. Hermann and Dr. Reid are amazing and have been there during both of my pregnancies.
Dr. Blau and the staff are very rude and do not explain things. Me and my wife are having our first child and have a quite a few questions. Dr Blau doesn’t care to explain things and seems dismissive of questions. Visits seem very rushed. Communication over anatomy scans and other things are terrible.
Dr. Herman is an amazing doctor. She genuinely cares about you as a patient and is very personable. I have moved over the years and still continue to make the hour commute to her because of her bed side manner. I highly recommend!
Dr Faye is so caring and she LISTENS to her pts. Amazing bedside manner. I would strongly recommend Dr Faye for any and or all ur Gynecological needs weither its delivery or annual woman check ups.👍❤️🤗
Very friendly service. Dr. Blaue is always attentive, he addresses all my questions/concerns. The front staff is always so helpful. Nurses are always very helpful as well. Wait times are great. Office is clean.
Dr. Hermann is personable, a great listener, and her treatment was spot on for my remedy. She has always done a great job of analyzing and prescribing the best treatments for my issues. I recommend her with no reservations.
I say this because I want other people to know before they go here and a have a potentially terrible experience like I did. I got an IUD inserted here and it wasn’t a good experience. Was told it wouldn’t be painful, it was the worst pain of my life. My appointment was at 4pm and they closed at 5. However the insertion was so painful, I felt like I was going to pass out, became extremely nauseous and was in intense pain. They gave me an ice pack and then left me alone in the room and said they’d check on me in 5 minutes. They said I looked white as a sheet and just left me. I was in so much pain that I could not stand up, much less drive myself home. I had to call my husband to come get me( they told me previously that I would be able to drive myself home so I didn’t arrange anything prior). After 5pm, the nurse kept coming in to ask if my husband was still coming, clearly just ready to go home- when I was curled into a ball and clearly in agony. By 5:40 they’d come in so many times to ask when my husband would be there that I just went to wait for him in my car because I felt like such a burden for being there. The nurse and front desk receptionist left immediately after I did and did not offer to help me out. Did not feel cared for at all.
Dr. Fay is an incredibly warm, caring physician who never seems rushed, and really takes the time to listen and discuss my problems and solutions for them. I also have trusted her with delivery of 2 of my children, and I know that she has the skill to save my life if she had needed to.
Dr. Herman is the only reason I would ever return to this clinic. She is an excellent doctor, but I would NEVER recommend any patient seek treatment at this office. The front desk staff is extraordinarily rude, and 9 times out of 10 when you call the office you have to leave a message and hope they get back to you. I was seen for unknown pelvic pain by Dr. Reid after calling and insisting several times that I needed to be seen due to intense pain, despite the busy schedules of all of their doctors. When I did finally get in for an appointment, she was dismissive of all of my concerns (displaced IUD, kidney stone, or ovarian cyst), and instead asked me several times about STDs, because of my age. It took me a whole week and three unanswered voicemails to hear back from them following my appointment to let me know that I had a bladder infection. The nurse informed me of my diagnosis and treatment very rudely over the phone in less than a minute, and didnt follow up to see if I have any other concerns before hanging up on me. I will be switching to another doctor and recommend no one else put their health in the hands of this incompetent and insensitive office.
From my first phone call to schedule my initial appointment when asked for my previous dates of procedures & medical history, I received a “wow, you’ve not had this done before?” Which felt judgmental and not unbiased, I’ve now seen my doctor 3 times. Initial appt was very rushed, didn’t feel my concerns or questions were answered, she just wanted to get through her initial exam appointment and move on. Scheduled an ultrasound to discern next steps. The US tech hardly spoke, was very aggressive and walked out without offering anything to clean with. Came back to review results and was left in the waiting room for over an hour without the option to reschedule. Results led to the need for another procedure. Came in for that appt and the dr was already running over 30 mins late at 10 am “due to scheduling issues”. I rescheduled upon arrival and once I was told about the delay - this was an improvement. Had the procedure done and finally felt like I got some sort of progress toward my need for the first appointment, however when I was told to provide a urine sample I asked what it was for & was told it was required for any appt. So I obliged. Once I was in the exam room I asked again what they needed the sample for and was told it was a pregnancy test. Since I was in for something not pregnancy related and had not requested nor consented for this test to be done (and passed 6th grade science to know what needs to happen for that to be necessary), I will not be coming back. I’ll be moving to a different doctor and practice. I should get to decide what tests are performed on my body and with my samples. I’ve never felt more like some money grabbed lab rat as I have at this practice.
Dr. Fay is caring, thorough & detailed. I am in the years of womens health that I have a lot of questions about aging, hormones, menopause, supplements, labs, bone health, mammograms, and more. She is such a great listener and answers my questions with educational points so I feel empowered about my health and well advised about the decisions I need to make. I really appreciate how she takes her time to explain things and never acts inconvenienced by my questions. I look forward to my next visit with her. She is a fantastic resource!
ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS THAT I HAD AND MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE.
Dr. Brittany Schumann, my GYN doctor at Caring Center for Women, is Outstanding. She listened carefully, spent plenty of time with me, and she was Very understanding and non-judgmental of my concerns. I Highly recommend her, if you are looking for a GYN doctor!! Also, all of the doctors at the Caring Center for Women have been outstanding.
Kind and genuinely caring doctor who is never in a rush. Dr. Hermann delivered two of my kids and even brought me a treat during my recovery. I highly recommend her as a physician.
I cant say enough great things about Caring Center for Women! Im a patient of Dr. Hermann, and she is absolutely amazing! She listens, she understands and she goes above and beyond! Best doctor ever! Staff and Nurses are amazing too! Would highly recommend!!
Everyone I encountered here were great! Smiling sweet face when you walk in. Dr. Reid was friendly and upfront. The nurses were super sweet. And the ever so sweet lady that gets a bad rep because she takes the blood for lab work was amazing. I will definitely be coming here for all my lady needs! Thank you ladies. Stay awesome!
Dr. Schumann and staff at Caring Center for Women have been so wonderful and friendly. I love that Dr. Schumann answers all of my questions about my pregnancy and takes the time to discuss and explain my concerns with me. I am very pleased with the care that I have received from Dr. Schumann so far.
Dr Fay was recommended to me by a friend. I actually live on the northwest side of San Antonio and drive to New Braunfels just to see Dr Fay and her staff (they are closer to my work than where I live). But the drive, either way, doesnt bother me sine I know that the staff is great and the facility is extremely clean! I will continue to drive the distance just knowing its a great place to go. I have been at least 4 times and each time was a good visit.
Overall everyone at the New Braunfels location is great. Dr. Blaue has been amazing also. Being a first time mom I was nervous all around. Dr. Blaue is very straight to the point but, always answers all of my questions with a lot of knowledge behind them. He’s comfortable to be around and has great bedside manners and is compassionate. The office staff is nice too. If you are looking for a OB I would definitely recommend Dr. Blaue & Caring Center for Woman NB! They will take good care of you 🙂
I had an ok experience at the Caring Center for Women in New Braunfels. The staff was friendly, the appointments were quick but I did have issues with Dr. Blaue. 3 weeks after my delivery my c section opened up and I saw the doctor, he said to keep it dry and it would heal on its own. He didnt seem very concerned at all. 3 weeks later it was still open and he decided to get someone from wound care involved and with their help my wound was closed and healing after a week. Not sure why he left me with an open wound for 3 weeks when he could have had wound care take care of it from the start. I had to be out of work for an additional week because of that. I also feel like hes always in a rush and doesnt stop to really listen to me or answer my questions which I dont like. I like the facility so Ill try a different Dr but I wouldnt suggest Dr. Blaue again. I recommended him to a friend and they felt the exact same way, too rushed, not very informative and overall dissatisfied with his care.
I am a new patient and also new to the area. Caring Center for Women has been amazing so far. The facility is very nice and Dr. Blaue is amazing. He addressed all my concerns and issues in a professional manner. I am very happy with my visits.
I would not recommend this place to anyone I went in with non stop vaginal bleeding for 6 months straight and I tried out this place for 6 months after that just hoping they’ll be able to help me. They treat you like a dollar sign, I paid so much money for tests and doctors appointments just for my concerns to never be listened and the doctor to always undermine me and talk over me. I had to break down and cry just to get her to actually listen to me about my problems. The only thing the doctor continually recommended for me was birth control and more birth control, after I made it very clear birth control is not for me it makes me feel awful. I told the doctor I believe I have pcos ( hormonal disorder) and she told me I was too skinny for that. Finally did the tests over it and I was right. After that was proven and I told her I was still getting bad painful periods I’ve never had before and she said we can try a different birth control. I ended up going to another doctor and I had endometriosis and had to have surgery to fix myself since I had a serious condition that she never tried to find. When I told her the birth control I was on was making me feel lazy no libido and have anxiety she undermined me by saying your 20s are stressful for everyone trying to figure their self out.smh she never told me the specific pcos that I had or if I was insulin resistant. One time I had an appointment and I wasn’t even seen until after an hour after my appointment started and I had to go up to the front desk to see what happened the receptionist went to Lunch and came back without telling anyone i was there. If I stayed at this doctor I would have only gotten sicker.
I was at ease the moment Dr. Fay came into the room. She was attentive, listening to what I needed to say and giving the time to do without feeling rushed out of the room. She gave me exactly what I hoped for--an opportunity to have a conversation about my health and coming up with a solution together that I was comfortable with. I highly recommend!
Dr Fay is the best! She is very knowledgeable, caring and friendly. She listens and makes you feel comfortable (at an appointment that doesnt usally feel comfortable). I would definitely recommend her to others !
I’ve had 3 babies here and I absolutely wouldn’t go anywhere else.. and I live an hour and 20 south of NB! I’ve seen Dr. Reed for the majority of my visits and hands down one of the best drs out there! Hears you out, and responds in ways that you can understand and like an honest friend. You’ll be blessed by any Dr here at this practice!
Excellent care. I just really like Dr Schumann. She cares so much about my problem
Great patient manners from reception to Doctor. The whole staff was very caring. My mother is in a wheelchair and unable to stand. That was not an obstacle to have the same great care and service everyone else received. I am changing my own medical care to this clinic!
Dr. Hermann is beyond amazing! Not only is she my obgyn, she is also my mothers. She has helped my mother diagnose issues specialist couldn’t find, because she knows a woman’s gyn health means treating the whole woman. She has helped me to solve some issues and helped me to bring my daughter into this world. My journey with her throughout my pregnancy was more than I could ever imagine! I felt so special, cared for and we had a GREAT time! She is so funny and really makes sure that you know that she genuinely cares for you. We’re starting our second baby journey together and I’m so excited to have her and her nurse Katie! They make this whole process fun and exciting...everything you want out of a pregnancy!
DO NOT GO HERE. I was looking for another OB-GYN to help with some of my problems during my menstrual cycle. ended up having a hysterectomy with doctor Blaue, after my surgery at my follow up I was still having extreme amount of pain and was just told to take Tylenol to deal with it or go to the emergency room. the front desk ladies are always very rude when you go in they dont care about what you have to say, just worried about money. Ended up having to have an emergency surgery 9 weeks later due to vaginal cuff dehiscence. I was recommended to go back to Dr Blaue for a follow up due to he did my historectomy, again the ladies in the front would not even make me an appointment and said I need to see the surgeon who performed my emergency surgery. Even though obviously something went wrong during my hysterectomy. Dont waste your tome or money here. Find a real doctor.
Dr Irwin is an excellent doctor. She listened to me and answered my questions, was so thorough even though I had hard time describing my symptoms. She covered all of her bases and I believe has solved the issues I was having. Would highly recommend her!
I had a terrible experience for my first OB appointment for my first pregnancy with Dr. Hermann. She had inappropriate commentary, a cold/ dismissive attitude when asked questions, as well as condescending discourse when discussing natural birth options. I did not feel any more educated or supported after leaving this appointment. I would not recommend Dr.Hermann to anyone that I know, nor will I return to this facility again.
Highly recommend Dr. Fay! She is always friendly and personable. Knowledge and answers any questions I have in a way I can easily understand. From the moment I met her, I knew I was switching to her as my OB.
I like how the Dr has organized the staff to do what needs to be done.
Very disappointed in the care my mother-in-law received from Dr. Barrett Blaue, she walked out crying from a horrible experience. While he was discussing the procedure he laughed and mentioned to her that when she sees the price she would be shocked, also after he preformed a rough pap smear, he walked out of the room leaving the door wide open with her on the table still undressed. He was not professional at all, thankfully the nurse that was assisting Dr. Blaue was nice enough to help my mother-in-law out. She contacted her primary doctor who referred her to him and her doctor mentioned she will no longer refer patients to Dr. Blaue. I strongly suggest finding a new gynecologist.
Friendly, professional, clean! everything you could want from an OBGYN.
I loved seeing Dr. Reid. SHe was honest, great and smart. The office was beautiful also! Very Happy!
Have been dealing with urge incontinence greater than 10 years A couple of years ago I was introduced to Uro-gynocology. I was devistated when my doctor ended her practice and wasnt able to find another. Then I moved to New Braunfels and was referred by my PCP to Dr. Theresa Irwin who is so knowledgeable and informed about many treatment options. As a semi retired registered nurse, I am so appreciative of the open dialog I am able to have with her. I was enlightened to realistic outcome expectations and what roles the physician and patient play in the treatment planning. I HIGHLY recommend consulting with her if you are having issues
I love Dr. Fay and the rest of the Caring Center Staff. All the women in my family see her and we can’t imagine having to try and develop a relationship with any other group. Thankful we have this group and particularly Dr. Fay to see and especially through our insurance company.
I was a first time visitor with the Caring Center or Women and saw Dr. Blaue. My whole meeting with Dr. Blaue lasted at most 60 seconds. I was only able to ask two questions to which my last question was answered with a handful of words, I was then handed a brochure and he literally left the room. It left me completely amazed that someone as seemingly uncaring as him sees/treats people for a living. My partner and I attempted to bring my concerns to the office, but all they could say was that this had never happened before and they werent sure how to deal with negative feedback. They then told us they would return our phone call and they never did. We have since attempted to call and have left several messages and have not received a response back. I am extremely disappointed by this offices lack of professionalism and customer service. It was a waste of a co-pay and the time I had to take off of work to be seen by someone who didnt really seem to care why I was there in the first place. Sad. I would not recommend this office or Dr. Blaue.
Always made to feel comfortable. Everyone is kind, professional & informative.
I love this facility. Dr. Irwin is amazing. She helped diagnose me with endometriosis but didnt jump straight to surgery. She attempted other sources to help but surgery was definitely needed in the end. Everyone is kind and wonderful and always try womanly needs.
Staff is rude and dismissive. The Male Dr I saw was completely dismissive and uninformative. He seemed to be annoyed with me, as I have very high anxiety with these types of Dr visits. The front desk was just plab rude. They treated me like I was a number and not a person. They cared only for my insurance information and got annoyed easily. I was very disappointed in the whole experience. Also they did not fully treat my illness so when I called to make an appt for a second visit (because I could not get into a another dr quickly enough) they still said it would be 3 weeks and made no attempt to help me.
Dr. Lauren Herman is, by far, the BEST with making me completely at ease. Im almost 50, 3 births, etc. Hated those experiences so badly. It took me many years to go to a Dr. With Dr. Herman, Im not afraid and look forward to getting answers. Shes calming as well as professional
Waste of time and money, and actually turned out dangerous for me. They put me on the wrong hormone and did so much more damage. I was never allowed to see the Urogyn, which is why I was referred her. Never more than 5 minute visit, waited forever, and Dr. Ried was absolutely horrible in tone, patience and expertise. I went back to my regular obgyn in much worse shape than when I came here. Find another place, they do not care, they just want your money.
Horrible horrible experience here. I went here when I was pregnant and was also seeing a second doctor in San Antonio. Thankfully I saw my SA doctor twice before choosing Caring Center. The reason I’m thankful- because when Caring center LIED TO ME ABOUT MY DEAD CHILD I was able to get a same day appointment with my doctor in SA to tell me that I did experience fetal demise. Dr Reid is judgy AF. She was nasty to us because we were from CA. Even made a nasty comment about how everyone is flooding in from CA and destroy Texas. Making assumptions we were just like every CA person.. The funny part is after vocalizing this to us to our faces- she found out later that we were military and it had just been our last duty station and we aren’t actually from CA. We switched to Dr. Fay. She is amazing and sweet. So kind, honest and willing to work with us. I was high risk due to two other MC and she cared. But when I asked for progesterone etc- they wouldn’t do anything. I have a medical background and I knew something was off with my child and demanded progesterone but they refused. Then I started bleeding and they did a US. See thing is I can read an US due to my medical background. I could tell my fetus was dead but the doctor I saw that day( it wasn’t Dr. Fay) lied to me, refused to really scan for a heartbeat and when I got angry and obviously distressed. Demanding to have her actually check a heartbeat she told me how my child had moved and they couldn’t do so. (The fetus was just properly placed to scan for a heartbeat) She told me how I needed to go to see a psychiatrist for medicine because I needed in “her professional opinion” psych meds. (Sorry I was upset because I could tell my child was dead!) she refused to tell me anything and LIED TO ME TELLING ME EVERYTHING WAS FINE. As I was leaving I watched all the doctors run into this doctors office and close the door after she saw me. I called my other OB and told him the situation, drove to they and they did an ASAP ultrasound and told me honestly that I had lost my child. Luckily my doctor is amazing and made sure I was prepared to miscarry which I started that night and for the next couple of days. These doctors are liars and any team of doctors that would lie to you about your child being dead- stay far away from them. They don’t care about you at all.Every single negative thing written on these reviews from long waits to nurses not being nice- it’s all true. We spent HOURS in the rooms waiting to be seen. Doctors Not being in when we scheduled our appointment and never told they weren’t in. Being forced to wait hours to be seen. I thought it was just people being negative people . It’s not m, it’s truthful and It’s been months since this occurred and I still feel this needs to be said.
Dr Schumann is very thorough while also being compassionate. She listens well and makes you feel comfortable with any questions you ask. She is honest and encouraging.
At 38 weeks, Dr. Blaue stripped my membranes- without my consent. He said he was going to check my cervix, but that was not what he did. My BP was 147/cannot remember, but I was nervous for the appointment. I went over to the hospital (since he told me I had to), and they checked my BP and it was COMPLETELY NORMAL. After giving birth, (my epidural was not effective any longer)I had mild hemorrhaging. This doctor stuck his entire hand into me and then asked the nurse “why is she acting like that, like she’s in so much pain?” And rolled his eyes. The nurse proceeded to tell him that my epidural was off already & he just said “oh. Oops”. This was traumatizing to say the least. Do not recommend him at all.
The service was fine. The billing and communication was handled horribly. The first time I went I paid what I thought was everything, and it wasnt cheap. A month after my visit I get an email telling me I still owe more. I tried calling repeatedly to ask why when I had already paid everything and got transferred and played phone tag with several departments that never answered the phone. Finally I get a voicemail telling me the doctor made a mistake and its my responsibility. So their mistake fell on me, lovely. I really needed the service so I paid it and went back. A month after my second visit--when I specifically asked if I owed anything and they flat-out said no--i get another unexpected bill. This time I got multiple emails, a text, and an automated phone call about my owed bill all in the span of 30minutes--very aggressive on a bill from a month ago that I had no idea existed. Also other times I tried to call and ask about the status of something I was waiting on I always had to leave voicemails and never got a call back. Overall a terrible and frustrating experience that the service did not make up for.
Even though this place is called The Caring Center for Women, they really do not care much for their patients or the concerns their patients have about their health...at least thats how my experience was. I went in to discuss heavy and painful periods. First of all, like any prepared patient, I wrote a list of concerning symptoms. When asked what brings me here today, I mentioned I had a thorough list. The doctor told me to just tell her a few symptoms that were bothering me the most. Then when I told her I might have hormone issues, she argued that I didnt because I had a normal cycle. She did offer to perform an ultrasound and found a thick uterine lining, to which she dismissed because I had just had my cycle. Fast forward 1 year later, I returned because I had lost 30lbs without trying, my periods were getting worse, and I was now dealing with possible infertility issues. My PCP even recommended that I go see her too. When I returned to the center, it was the worst experience ever. I was left in my room for over an hour, and when I went to go see what happened, I was treated rudely by the nurse who insisted they did not forget about me and to be patient. Once the doctor came in, she refused to do another ultrasound because she said nothing would have changed in a year. She then said she would prescribe a bandaid med that would make me not bleed so heavy. She told me to go try to conceive for 3 months and if not successful then to return and she would perform a D&C procedure. This all made me feel very uncomfortable so I went to ARC for a second opinion. Here, they listened to ALL of my concerns and even probed to learn and understand more about my symptoms. They insisted we do an ultrasound to make sure I didnt have any fibroid tumors or polyps that were causing the heavy bleeding. This ultrasound revealed just that...I had several things in there as well as a very thick lining, but this time, procedures were recommended immediately as well as a referral to an REI specialist at the Texas Fertility Center. Once here, they performed their own ultrasound and saw many concerning masses so they recommended a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy to fully diagnose and treat all symptoms. Post surgery, the diagnosis ended up being polyps and endometriosis that had spread from the uterus to my ovaries and fallopian tubes...all of which is related to hormone issues. My new doctor revealed that trying to conceive under these conditions was the worst advice she could have given, because it would have resulted in a miscarriage and additional turmoil/stress. He also said that the polyps and the thick lining was definitely causing the excessive bleeding and infertility. He fixed everything up and now Im on the road to recovery and can hopefully try conceiving again once all is healed. If there is any thank you I can give the Caring Center for Women, it would be a thank you for being so rude and terrible, because it led me to a second opinion, a true diagnosis, a caring staff, and progression of treatment so that I feel better and can move forward with a potential pregnancy. So the lesson here is that I will NEVER return to this center and neither should you. Dont let the name of the center fool you. Austin Regional Clinic is way better. Go there instead. They actually care about you and your health.
Dr. Lauren Hermann is a lovely person, she listens, and is helpful. She is professional ,pleasant and caring. I highly recommend her as a physician. Blessed to have her as my physician.
I am new to Dr Schumann’s practice. I was completely pleased with the competence, completeness and timeliness of her care. I highly recommend her for your female health care needs.
The faciltiy is very clean. The staff from the front receptionist to the check out counter are very helpful and polite. Dr. Reid is very detailed and takes her time to give you the attention needed to address all your concerns.
Caring Center for Women is a very apt name. I felt cared for as a person and not just another patient to be run through the system. I saw Dr. Herman because of her excellent reviews and was very happy with her kind attention.
Dr. Schumann is the incredibly attentive and explains everything to me with not only thoroughness, but passion. I can tell she genuinely is fascinated by her work, and that is rare.
Dr. Fay and her staff are friendly and caring. Dr. Fay takes the time to listen. I would, however, prefer to attend the San Marcos facility since it is more convenient for me and would like for it to have more days/available there.
The nurses are the only reason for the two stars. Dr Reid was who I was assigned to and to say she doesn’t care about the well-being of her patients is putting it mildly. In a 3 week span I had developed asthma, an infection (with a fever that is harmful to the baby) and a severe case of constipation that caused me to be hospitalized. I called MULTIPLE times pleading for help, advice, even just a call back from my Dr. I got nothing. She didnt call once. I had been seeing other drs, a pulmonologist, gastroenterologist etc and faxing Dr Reid all of their notes and she still didnt care to respond. This facility looks and seems nice but the quality of care from their Drs is garbage. I have found someone who does thankfully care for my health and have switched and I encourage you to think twice before signing up with her.
Do NOT go see Dr. Blaue!! He’s very dismissive and will treat you like you’re an absolute idiot. He refused to address a single one of my concerns and reasons for visiting, even though I had to wait for the appointment for a month. And as much as I hate to rag on nurses, his nurse Myra was just as awful. The only kind person in the office was the front desk lady. Will NOT be returning.
Every visit the Care Center is wonderful. So glad I found them! Dr. Schumann is wonderful and I’m always pleased with the level of care received! Highly recommend them to others.
Great office, friendly staff. Appointment was right on time. Dr Hermann and her medical assistant were professional, friendly and really listened to my concerns. Absolutely recommend this office!
I have NEVER experienced such inhumane treatment by another person, much less a medical professional. Not only did Dr Blaue make me feel humiliated and violated, he went as far as to make a scene in front of his receptionist when I asked them if that was the kind of work environment they had to be subjected too. I had direct questions for this so called doctor which obviously aggravated him to the point that he started replying with condescending answers such as the sooner we get you out of here the better and even slammed the door as he exited the exam room. When he saw me approach the receptionist due to the escalating tensions from this guy he came into my personal space and informed me that he was the head of the practice there was no one to report him to.At which point, I informed him he was too close and definitely not practicing 6ft distancing, which he literally laughed at me and told me he did not have to. So I went to the opposite side of his receptionist desk and told him no sir we may not have to but as a professional I would think that you would be considerate of safety parameters. I am not sure what exactly he said after he told me I was the rudest person he had ever come in contact with bc he had me shaking so bad I just had to get out of there.I am in the process of filing a report on him through the state of Tx and the Comal county officials, as well.Do not waste your time with this non professional, please spare your well being this kind of abuse!!!!
Dr Fay is so friendly and informative. She doesnt rush in and out, she actually talks to you and cares about you! So glad I chose her!!
Great physician that was very personable. Beautiful office and everywhere in office felt very clean. Will be returning!
This is a beautiful place: stunning art everywhere, friendly and timely staff, knowledgeable and skilled doctors, especially, Dr. Kari Fay. Shes great. Im glad I found her.
I absolutely love Dr. Hermann! She is caring and informative. She is currently my doctor, helping me through my first pregnancy.
*****Warning*****. THIS PLACE IS FULL OF LIARS!!! We are local to Seguin and have been having a hard time finding a doctor in our area who accepts ChampVA. I had a doctors appointment in the area of this Doctors office last week so we swung by to see if they accept ChampVA, we were pleased when they said they did. It was a bit far for us but it was worth the money we would be saving. My wife set up an appointment for tomorrow. Last week she was in contact with them to figure out what we were going to have to pay. She got a quote for almost triple what we paid for our last baby a little over a year ago and they hadnt run the quote adding ChampVA. My wife spoke with a lady in the billing department who essentially said Ill get to it when I get to it and Im going on vacation tomorrow. My wife told me this so I called trying to find out what was going on. She wasnt available so I left my name and number. When my wife got home that day, Thursday of last week, she let me know just how rude that lady had been to her. So I called and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. I was told that she was on the phone and she could call me back. I told the receptionist that I wasnt busy and I could hold. About 10 mins later the receptionist got back on the phone and told me the supervisor had to leave....convenient. I asked the receptionist who the managers boss was or what company owned them. She informed me that it was the doctors who owns that office. I asked if she could have one of the doctors call me so we sort this out and so I could tell them how their staff treated my wife. The receptionist laughed and said yea thats not going to happen but shed give my number to the manager when she returned. To my surprise I got a call about 20 mins later from a female doctor who tried to tell me that our secondary insurance, ChampVA wouldnt pay the portion that my wifes primary wouldnt. I tried to explain to her that ChampVA isnt like other insurances, but she kept cutting me off. I also tried to tell her about how rude her staff was to my wife which she didnt acknowledge at all. The conversation was ended with us telling her we would be there on Tuesday and we would bring the ChampVA paperwork so we could work it out. Today at about 4:45 my wife gets a call saying that I cussed out numerous staff members saying the f words, called them idiots and morons and they were canceling our appointment. None of this is true. Was I irritated? Sure. We were getting the run around and nobody was answering our questions, but I didnt cuss them or call them names. To me it sounds like they wanted to bill our insurance and make us pay $270 a month for 6 months. With the insurance we have we should have had no bill. This place is a scam and full of liars. Please look elsewhere. Having a baby is supposed to be a stress free fun part of you life this office does not care about the patients just the money.
Dr. Hermann and staff made me feel important and comfortable. I appreciate the follow up calls. Highly recommend Dr. Hermann; wonderful bedside manner, respectful, and thorough.
I like dr. hermann but this clinic is ridiculously overbooked. every visit eats up 2-3 hours of my day. not worth the frustration of waiting so long. i always leave feeling like i’m the least important patient.
So disappointed, so unprofessional service. They collect the money in front before talking with the doctor even if you decided do something different and as pluss the let me know that the doctor wont talk to me anything else that she will only remove my birth control implant.I work in health and I never received this treatment ever in my life.I dont think even on public the will do this.
Great care team led by a wonderful and easy to talk to Dr. Reid.
Dr. Hermann is an amazingly phenomenal doctor, very knowledgeable , has a sweet and friendly spirit, as the phlebotomist there in office I get alot of great feedback about our doctors and staff they all are amazing 😊 I love working with them, Overall i highly recommended this office.
