Had a great experience with Dr. Hudson and her staff. Everyone was so sweet and easy to talk to. They don’t make you feel bad for asking questions. And the best part to say is I got pregnant on our first IUI attempt:) Dr. Hudson knows how to help make babies! I would recommend this place to anyone.
Sorry this is kind of long but I needed to include some details to get the full story. First off I am a radiologic technologist with over 10 years experience working in the medical field which is important later. My wife has PCOS. After seeing doctor Hudson she ordered the expected battery of tests on both of us. One of the test performed on my wife is known as a hysterosalpingogram or HSG for short. This test determines if a womans fallopian tubes are open or if there is a condition known as hydrosalpinx which is an abnormal bulging out of the fallopian tubes which can range from mild to extreme. As a radiology tech I am familiar with this test as it performed in imaging centers and the test itself went just fine but our problem is with this Doctor Hudsons shady conduct surrounding our results which I explain below. Our first major red flag was when one of our early consultations with Doctor Hudson and she kept pushing really hard for IVF and misrepresented the outcomes of other treatment options such as IUI or using fertility drugs to induce ovulation to make it seem as if those treatments were not worth our time. The deal breaker came when we got the results of the aforementioned HSG test. When we arrived Doctor Hudson told us that the HSG results were not good and that my wife would require surgery to remove her fallopian tubes and IVF would then be her only option moving forward. Needless to say we were devastated as this meant we would never be able to afford these procedures not to mention the lifetime of potential side effects from them.A few days later I was at my job talking to a nurse friend about the HSG results when it occurred to me that my facility had direct access to the server in which my wifes radiology report and images for the HSG were stored. After I pulled up the report I was shocked to see that Doctor Hudson had straight up lied to us about my wifes results of the HSG. The Radiologist reported her fallopian tubes were open but with some slight dilations of her tubes but concluded that they were very likely insignificant to her reproductive health. Immediately I contacted another radiologist I knew and had them look at the study and he told me the same thing that her measurements were only borderline abnormal for some slight dilations but overall probably had no significance on reproductive health and that my wife definitely did not meet the criteria to have her fallopian tubes removed. After discovering this I gathered up all my wifes medical records and we went to another fertility doctor to get a second opinion. This new doctor agreed that my wife did not meet the criteria for surgery and that doctor Hudson was not following the recommended course of treatments as described in several medical literatures on the subject. At the time of this writing my wife is now pregnant with our first and it only required two rounds of some relatively easy and cheap fertility drugs. If I didnt have my background in the medical field then this car salesman of a doctor could have drastically and permanently altered my wifes reproductive health just so she could charge us for unnecessary IVF treatments. Avoid Doctor Hudson since she is incompetent and deceitful in how she presents treatments to patients in an effort to push for her most expensive and invasive services.
Dr. Hudson is kind, quick, informative and knows what she’s doing! I struggle with PCOS and I got my first ever pregnancy after 2 rounds of IUI. Vanessa is an actual angel that made every step of the process comfortable and I never left feeling uncertain about what came next. Theresa is the person up front and she is so funny and personal! I’ll miss this office when I don’t have appointments to come for. I will be coming back to have my future babies at this office!
Texas Fertility Center, Dr. Hudson, and the rest of the staff are amazing. Dr. Hudson is very knowledgeable about all things fertility. She is kind and will listen to your wants and your family goals. She is patient to answer any and all questions and will have a very well-thought-out answer. The nursing staff-Desiree and Rylee are awesome! They are also very kind and will go above and beyond to make your experience with TFC as comfortable as possible. They quickly answer on the portal and return any phone calls. The administrative staff (shout out Teresa) are amazing. When you walk in the door, you get a warm welcome it helps make the experience memorable from the first step in. The billing department is quick in returning emails and phone calls and will take the time to answer and explain any questions you may have. I cannot thank Dr. Hudson and the team at TFC enough for helping us create our family. There are many options for treatment but having TFC be local to the New Braunfels community is a major bonus! An FYI for any couples considering TFC, Dr. Hudson will make this a team effort. If you are not the carrying partner, don’t think you can take a back seat to this process. Be prepared to be involved!
UPDATE: Dr. Hudson has given me THREE wonderful children. She works tirelessly for her patients. She will do anything to get you the family you desire. I trust her implicitly and wouldnt trust anyone else with my fertility needs. I even moved to her clinic and followed her to her new location in New Braunfels and traveled to her long distances through Austin traffic because she is worth it!Dr. Hudson has given me two wonderful children. I obviously trust her. Shes an amazing doctor. She knows what she is doing.
Dr. Hudson and her team are amazing! The entire office staff is so welcoming (shout out Theresa at the front desk!!). I cannot recommend them enough if you are in need of a fertility assistance.
Dr. Susan Hudson is amazing and such a kind doctor. She made me feel important every visit. The prices are VERY reasonable! I did not have any problems here at this clinic. When I didn’t have my medicine in time they let me borrow medicine so I didn’t miss anything! I wasn’t expecting that. They explained everything very well. I got pregnant my second month being with them. Also, their clinic is VERY clean. Everything is really organized. They also do procedures during the weekend!! You get the very best out of your treatment!
Dr. Hudson and her staff are amazing to work with! She communicates well, listens to you, and is super kind and professional. It is because of her I had my rainbow baby after two miscarriages. I would definitely recommend!
My husband and I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Hudson and her staff. In such a difficult time, she thoroughly walked you through each step and really took the time to understand your needs. She keeps it 100% real with no fluff but does it in a loving way. I also have to give a shout out to her staff, they are AWESOME! When we are ready for baby #2 we will absolutely be back.
I really cant say enough good things about TFC in New Braunfels. Dr. Hudson, Vee, Vanessa, and the rest of the staff are amazing. From the very first appointment to the last I was always welcomed with such kindness at the front from Teresa-which honestly is such a nice change from most medical offices these days. The medical assistants Vee and Vanessa ALWAYS made me feel comfortable and were extremely supportive throughout my time there-all of the ups and downs. Even after I left my appointments and had multiple questions or concerns, Vee/Vanessa would reach out to me promptly and I never felt like just a patient. Dr. Hudson knows her stuff yall. Do not hesitate to see her! My husband and I put so much faith in her after we were referred by one of my own patients and Im SO glad we did! We are truly thankful for the staff at TFC in New Braunfels and I will ALWAYS give them a positive referral.
I do not believe we would be pregnant with our baby girl on the way if it was not for Dr. Hudson and her team. She is kind, caring, and extremely knowledge in fertility treatments. I recommend her without reservation. Thank you Dr. Hudson for all your work to help families grow!
Dr. Susan Hudson and her team are caring and compassionate. They see you as more than just a number; they get invested in your case, and they are happy to help. Dr. Hudson is knowledgeable, understanding and a good listener. She made sure to give us answers by assessing us both. She did the necessary interventions and gave us freedom to decide the right path for us. She was there for us since the beginning and gave us hope. Our little one is currently three months! Forever grateful!
I can’t thank Texas Fertility Center enough, especially Dr. Hudson, for their wonderful care and for helping my husband and I achieve our dream of becoming parents. We had talked to a couple of other fertility doctors who immediately recommended IVF after just meeting with one of us over a video call and didn’t seem to be very interested in learning more about us and the possible reasons why we couldn’t get pregnant.Dr. Hudson, however, was very patient with us and took the time to answer our questions and was very thorough in all of her explanations and gave us clear guidance in the treatment plan she created for us. She made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process and not just like another patient/case. We highly recommend Dr. Hudson. She’s fantastic! After one round of IUI, we were blessed to find out that I was pregnant and today marks two weeks that our precious daughter was born🙏🏼
After nearly a dozen early miscarriages over the span of almost 8 years- it is with so much joy and gratitude that I can say Im 12 weeks pregnant with our IVF miracle baby. My only regret is not seeing Dr. Hudson sooner!Dr. Hudson and her entire staff are such a blessing to our family! I cant thank them enough for their kindness and encouragement during one of the toughest and scariest times of our lives. Thank you, Dr. Hudson and TFC New Braunfels! I cant wait for yall to meet the miracle you helped us create! - Jess & Brandon Wright
Dr. Hudson is an incredible doctor. I went through two IUIs and a round of IVF with her, she does every single scan as well as the egg retrieval and transfer, and her nurses are amazing. I always felt like I was being supported and listened to, and throughout treatment I had the sense that Dr. Hudson had considered all the variables and truly had my best interest. My first transfer has been successful so far and I cannot thank her enough!
Our journey to have a family started 3 1/2 years ago when we first met Dr. Hudson and her staff at TFC. From our first visit we felt so comforted by Dr. Hudson’s knowledge and experience and the attentiveness of the staff. We felt at ease with every step of the process and if we experienced setbacks, Dr. Hudson helped us to understand why. We were very happy to find a fertility clinic with the most up to date practices and services. With the help of TFC we have a healthy 3 year old through IVF and we recently had another successful frozen embryo transfer with Dr. Hudson. We owe our beautiful family to Dr. Hudson and her staff and we will be forever grateful.
After almost 3 years of trying to get pregnant and working through some things with our doctors, my husband and I decided to see a fertility doctor. My gynecologist gave me Dr. Hudsons business card. Dr. Hudson explained the reproductive system and why its important to make sure everything is in good working condition before any treatments. We completed the pre-screening testing she ordered, turns out I had an issue that was preventing us from conceiving. I had a minor OP procedure to fix that problem.About six weeks later we found out we were pregnant, at our 1st ultrasound we found out we are having TWINS!! We are 13 weeks along and things are going great.Dr. Hudson and her staff have been great through the whole process. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness and patience. We encourage you to visit Dr. Susan Hudson and her staff if you having issues starting a family. They will be happy to help.Other Info: know and understand your insurance coverage for screening and treatment. Call testing providers for up-front and billing costs.
Dr.Hudson and her team are wonderful. My wife and I went into our first appointment with Dr.Hudson in November 2019, and now we are 9 weeks pregnant. We could not have done this without Dr.Hudson and her wonderful team. The office was always respectful, always answered any questions that we may have and worked around our schedule very well. Scheduling appointments were never hard, if you had to change it for whatever reason, they would do so. Each appointment we were seen on time, and sometimes earlier. The waiting room as well as the patients rooms were always cleaned and felt welcoming. Through our entire IUI process, they held our hands and did a very good job being straight forward about all.
Anyone having issues starting a family, I highly recommend Dr. Susan Hudson! Excellent bedside manner and extremely knowledgeable and professional. She discovered an issue that was causing my miscarriages and quickly addressed it. She tailored my treatment to address my personal needs and answered our prayers. Very easy to get in for appointments and never had to wait! She was always on time or even early to meet with us. Her and her staff were always so welcoming and took their time to answer all questions. We are forever grateful.
If you have concerns about infertility, I cannot urge you enough to reach out to Dr. Hudson and her staff at TFC. Dr. Hudson was always patient in explaining our options in treatment, allowing us to ask questions along the way and make a well-informed decision for us. Sandra works at the front desk, and she was always the most kind, warm and welcoming person. It always felt as if everyone on staff was rooting for our success and were truly alongside me and my husband in our journey. There were a couple of times I also needed to visit their office in San Antonio- the same feelings of kind care goes for all of the staff we encountered there. My insurance did not cover a lot of these expenses (this is very common). Infertility comes with lots of financial anxiety on top of the toll of emotions. It’s a lot to handle, and it’s worth finding a doctor you can develop a high level of trust with.Dr. Hudson is the care provider you want on your side through this tough journey. She’s in it with you the whole way.
I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Hudson twice. I first found her because my former fertility doctor no longer accepted my insurance, and I was so thankful she did, otherwise we would have struggled through the process of getting pregnant. She met with us right away both times, we followed her specific plan and it worked! I have a four year old, and am 8 weeks pregnant. Going through fertility treatment is a scary thing to do, but she helps make the process easier and less stressful. She and her staff are very sweet, efficient, and reliable. They were always able to kindly answer my questions and take care of my concerns.
Dr. Hudson has been a blessing to my family! I have 2 beautiful boys because of her amazing fertility care! We are hoping to use another embryo in the next year or so and can’t wait to work with Dr. Hudson and her team again.
This office is so amazing. My husband and I saw them after being diagnosed with infertility though our primary doctor. Dr. Hudson is AMAZING! She really takes the time to explain everything from tests to results and treatments. They are so helpful and always respond to questions over the phone or through the portal. Maggie and Stephanie are also amazing! They are quick to help and find answers to your questions. Sandra is also very helpful and really good to finding appointment times that work for you she tries to fit everything to your schedule. 10/10 would recommended. I am happy to say after seeing her and following her treatment plan I am now expecting a baby boy in March.I did want to add that i have seen a few *VERY few, because honestly they are amazing* negative reviews. Most of them center around pricing and insurance issues. They are not an insurance company. They DID run my insurance and tell the the estimated costs for what i needed done and what my insurance would cover. The few tests i had to have that they didnt do in office they did advise my that i would have to contact the other lab company to find out the cost. NO costs were hidden. I understand everyones insurance is different, so i would recommend having them run your insurance and then calling your insurance to verify if you are still concerned. This is not an issue with the service you receive or Dr. Hudson. I cannot stress enough how amazing the staff truly are.
Dr Hudson and her team are fantastic! Everyone is kind and happy to answer questions. We did 3 IUI treatments resulting in our beautiful baby girl. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great fertility clinic.
My husband and I were in search of a fertility center and my Gynecologist recommended us to Dr Hudson. Not knowing what to expect for our first visits, we found Dr. Hudson to be absolutely wonderful. She was extremely personable and friendly. She explained the treatments and help us choose the right one for us and our budget. We couldnt have asked for a better doctor and staff during our process, all of them answer any questions or concerns we had .
Ive had a lot of issues with them running my insurance they seem to lack communication. No one there feels warm or welcoming. Infertility is a very painful journey I expected them to be more personable. Im currently struggling to decide whether or not to continue treatment there. Its a convenient location but not sure if its worth it. The visits feel rushed. I have to follow up a lot about financial services and Keagan always seems bothered. Not sure why someone so angry works with people in sensitive situation. I should mention Sandra is incredible.
Infertility can be a lonely, debilitating journey. Dr. Hudson, Maggie, Sandra and the rest of the TFC staff really became our allies on the journey to grow our family. My husband and I endured infertility for 6 years, but we didn’t seek help until 3 years in. When we first met Dr. Hudson, I was drawn to her compassion and care. She gave us hope right from the start. She was very thorough in screening both of us for any potential underlying causes to our infertility. She thoroughly explained each treatment step and answered all our questions. TFC also has a great patient portal: our nurse Maggie or even Dr. Hudson herself were always very prompt in answering my questions. I also appreciate that Dr. Hudson herself does each ultrasound.Due to our specific situation, we eventually progressed to IVF. Our first IVF cycle resulted in 5 embryos, all of which were lost due to severe genetic abnormalities. My husband and I were devastated to lose those babies we loved already. Dr. Hudson picked us up and changed our treatment protocol. She didn’t give up on us. We pursued a second IVF cycle and were blessed with two healthy embryos. I am now 11 weeks pregnant with our miracle son.Infertility is often full of loss and disappointment. We experienced 6 years of that. But Dr. Hudson and her staff were with us in the lowest lows and highest highs. How many people can you say that about in your life? I highly recommend TFC and will gladly visit them again when we are ready to grow our family further.
Dr. Hudson is an amazing Doctor. My journey with her was wonderful, of coarse ivf is hard and emotional but she knew exactly what to do , to get me to have my miracle baby! I was her patient immediately after I lost my right ovary to stage 4 endometriosis December 2018. I made an appt with her office 6 weeks after my surgery in January 2019 and started my baby journey. I became pregnant with my 1st baby November 2020! I now am a Mama to a precious 4 month old baby girl. Without Dr. Hudson and the amazing science we have I would of never become a mom. When its time for my 2nd pregnancy I will definitely be back in her office again.
I’ve been with this office for about a month I want to say , and I have nothing but great things. Dr. Hudson was so sweet and straight forward .My nurse Jennifer is always helping with any questions I have with our treatment process . Also has checked on me while getting sick with the flu. Couldn’t be more thankful to have a great team behind us on our journey to start a family .
Their billing is not good - they billed most of my labs to the wrong place, billings hundreds of dollars extra (that I cant afford), and they could not get my medications authorized on time or even tell me who the right person to call is for my prescriptions. I also did not have much success with them in terms of outcome, and they never followed up as to why that might be the case. That said, there are only so many places to go, its a small field, and you probably have to try somewhere.
Dr Hudson and her staff are wonderful! Everyone is very kind and always willing to help. They always respond to questions either same day or next morning depending on when a phone call or message via the app are left. They never run behind on appt times! You will always be seen at or just before your scheduled time which is hard to come by at a doctors office these days! 10 Stars I recommend Texas Fertility Center!!
If I could give zero stars I would. I am not a person who ever posts reviews, but after the experience I had with this practice, I felt that others should be aware of what you will get if you choose this doctors office. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hudson and was contacted by her office the day before my appointment telling me my appointment is cancelled because she has a scheduled surgery. I had already taken time off of work that I could not get back because it was too last minute. Not only did they cancel on me last minute, they also were not flexible with rescheduling my appointment. They expected me to be able to take off more time instead of being flexible and trying to fit me in. Seeking a fertility specialist is stressful enough, I should not have to deal with the unprofessionalism and disorganization of a doctors office. This whole experience has been very disappointing from Dr. Hudsons office.
Recently moved to the area and needed to get in with a local RE. I called and spoke with someone weeks before the move and they told me to have my previous RE send the orders and it wouldnt be an issue. Ive called multiple times to try and set up an appointment and they wont even call me back to tell me they cant see me. As a medical professional myself (Bedside RN) I cant imagine following up with someone in need of testing. Completely unprofessional.
Dr.hudson was our saving grace !! We now have a beautiful 3 year old little girl !! I owe this all to Dr Hudson and her staff !! When you visit her office you will never feel like a visitor ,you will feel like family !! Definitely the best Dr around !
In a sea of doctors who are either A) quacks or B) wholly insensitive, Dr. Hudson is an amazing individual who is both skilled and sensitive, and who has found her niche in fertility treatment. Fertility Institute of Texas is NOT a one-size-fits-all office, which is good because no situation is the same. If youre just not sure about fertility assistance or where to start, heres some simple advise, go talk to her. Youll be in good hands.
Stay far away from this clinic. They don’t care about you as a patient they only care about the dollar sign attached to you. She made my husband do a test that they told us we wouldn’t see a bill for, a month later we got a $3800 bill, I called insurance and they told me it wasn’t covered. I took it to my next appointment and the receptionist said she would take care of it because we weren’t suppose to be billed. A week later they sent me a new bill for $1200 bucks and the receptionist basically told us “oh well guess there is a bill for it”. After our first round of IUI ended in miscarriage they told us we needed to immediately start another round because it was the best way to get pregnant and stay pregnant after a loss. So we did, two days after our loss, we didn’t even have time to process it. When that one ended in a miscarriage too the doctor wouldn’t speak to me by phone and said I needed to go in for a consultation. I was with her less than 3 minutes and they charged me $192 which they were suppose to credit and over a month later still had not done it until I blew up about them wanting to charge me 40 something bucks to have my records forwarded to a new doctor. During my “consultation”, which was the day after my second miscarriage, (so I was extremely upset) the doctor told me when needed to move on to IVF when I told her that was out of the question financially (she quoted me $25000) her immediate response was “oh don’t worry we will finance it for you”. Another staff member later suggested to me that I take out a second mortgage on my home. I told her I wasn’t doing anything else until we got answers why our pregnancies kept ending in losses. So she ordered one blood test and when the results came back negative her nurse called me to set up an appointment to start IVF. I told her no we weren’t ready. A few days later another staffer called me to set up an appointment and I yelled at her on the phone that we weren’t going to do that right now. Her nurses are awful. They can’t even answer basic questions and they have a terrible way of explaining things and when you leave the clinic you are more confused and have more questions than when you arrived. Her receptionist favorite response to everything is that’s our policy or corporate makes me charge that and I can’t change it. We have been fortunate to find a new clinic that has great staff and a doctor who sits down and explains things to us and doesn’t make us feel rushed.
We couldnt have asked for a better doctor and staff during our IVF process. Dr. Hudson and her staff were very compassionate and knowledgeable throughout our IVF journey. They always answered all of my questions and did everything to make this complex hurdle in our life as easy as possible.
Dr.Hudson and her team are amazing. I highly recommend them for your fertility journey. Not only in their expertise, but also in their availability and propt response to any questions I had. As a fertility patient, this really helped ease anxiety and made me feel cared for as a patient.
Extremely thorough and had I stayed maybe it could have been great results...but started to feel like cattle....move em in, move em out. When I wanted to ask questions. Dr. had already left while Im being shuffled to two other people to talk about costs and options after Ive already been seen and had multiple tests for weeks. No-one deserves to be shuffled around when they are making life changing decisions. The price was outrageous maybe ok for some but geez thats 4 times the amount of other places. When I wanted to talk about specific medicines doctor wanted me on, she had already left office and I had been waiting to talk with another staff. I know its a process but no-one wants to feel less than mediocre when trying to have a baby.
Dr. Hudson and the staff are all very nice and welcoming! Its a tough in the beginning but they are very good! Looking forward to having our first child thanks to Dr. Hudson!
Does anyone else have a hard time contacting the clinic? I’ve called on multiple occasions and get sent to a voicemail. Or I will connect with someone but the person I need to speak to is unavailable. When I give my call back info, no one ever actually calls back. Feeling a bit discouraged and I haven’t even had my first appointment.
Cannot say enough about Dr Hudson and her nurse Maggie! The entire staff and every location we visited were top the best!
This place has the most attentive and kindest staff I have ever encountered! The lady in the front was a Rockstar! 10 out of 10 would recommend this place!
Maggies my fav!
Wow
