I have been a member for the Community Healthcare Network for many years. The moment I walked into the clinic this morning Renee Davis was absolutely welcoming. I came down with the Flu and needed to see a doctor. Renee Davis went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable while in the waiting room. She provided a chair for me to sit as the waiting room was packed with people waiting to be seen. When I asked her for water she quickly gave me a cup of water as I have a sore throat. Ms Davis made my wait there pleasant and comfortable and tried her best for me to be seen by a doctor. I saw the nurse but wasn’t able to see the doctor and instructed me to go to Urgent Care.Renee Davis was professional, courteous, kind and extremely helpful! It is because of people like her that keeps me as a member of the Community Healthcare Network. She is a reflection of your center. Very compassionate providers— Kathryn Lind is a phenomenal psych provider, which is rare for community health. She goes above and beyond and truly cares about your wellbeing. I’ll never forget my first appointment with her, she took the time to get to know me and hear my story without any sense of rush. Yes, it’s an imperfect system but having a good, trusting relationship with one’s provider is essential for mental (and overall) health, and she really gets that right. I hope CHN can keep her for a long time!
COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE NETWORK/LOWER EAST SIDE ..Had an appointment with dr. Swepton on 9/6 for medical clearance it took 3weeks to get this appointment for surgery on 9/21 I told her I needed the form back on 9/13 she promised she would, today is 9/14 I left so many messages through the portal and at the front desk she hasn’t answered not one, now my surgery is canceled and I have to go through the whole approval process again cause my approval letter expires in October , I’m so mad and upset the surgeon doesn’t have a next available appointment till next year !! I will never go to the Houston location ever again or be seen by anyone there am just feed up with this health network , dr. Stevens was my pcp but she left
Ive been going to CHN since I was a teenager(over 20yrs) and I hardly ever had a bad experience, but today was the day.There were 2 receptionists: one Hispanic female and African American female. I ring the bell, and they are taking forever to let me in. The Hispanic female is dealing with a patient, and im not sure what the African American female was doing. However, she was behind the desk. They finally buzz me in. I walk in, say, Good morning, and I began to engage with the Hispanic female. She goes over my personal info, making sure nothing changed, I informed her that there are no changes to my personal information. She says to me we have to call you PCP. She then begins to talk to the African American female when they are done. The Hispanic female says to me, I have to call your PCP, have a sit, and I will call you over when I have them in the line. I asked the Hispanic female, Why do you need to call?. Here goes the African American female VERY HOSTILE, AGGRESSIVE, AND DISRESPECTFUL.She begins to insert herself into our conversation and is talking very nasty to me. Doing the hand claps and neck rolls. I was so taken aback. I told them to cancel my appointment because I did not like or appreciate her TONE, DELIVERY, AND MANNERISMS. I was so upset and didnt understand why she took her attitude out on me, when I never said 2 words to her. AT ALL. I never addressed her. I never looked at her, I wasnt standing near her desk or anything. She was very nasty and disrespectful. If you are having a bad morning, there is no reason to take your energy and bad attitude out on someone else. She has a negative aura about her, and I will not be going back to this location. I have never in over 20 years dealt with something like this at CHN. It was distasteful and super unprofessional.I spoke to the manager, and she said to me, They (the receptionist) usually assist each other, and I will speak to her. I understand colleagues assist one another because I assist my colleagues. However, it wasnt her assisting her. It was her tone, delivery, and unprofessionalism that I had a problem with.SB: I have attached 2 photos of the female with a horrible attitude. Its ALWAYS a black person who wants to give another black person a hard time for absolutely no reason.I think its time for me to move on to another clinic and say goodbye CHN.
Everyone here is great. Super friendly and they really care about their patients.
This place billed my insurance for services I did not receive. I reported this to insurance. Dont come here if getting medical attention is your goal. This place is fully staffed with the incompetent who have little value in a persons time. I saw a dentist here with my health plan a month ago yet there was no clue about my insurance when I came in today for follow-up cleaning. Arrived 20 min early also but this wasnt enough time for the staff to have insurance info for my appointment. Is this confirmed before the date of appointment? Apparently not. From 11:15 am to 12:30pm, I am still waiting and have paid $12 in meter parking at moment. Still waiting for dentist. With the star rating here, I doubt the administration will care about this review or do anything about it but, I hope this diverts others from wasting their time.
I have had nothing but a good experience at CHN LES. I previously saw Dr Hang who was great and took all of my issues/complaints seriously. When he left, I was transferred to Dr Hollander who also has been wonderful. She listens to my needs and makes sure that I get the medicine, supplements or referrals that I need. She is also very responsive to private messages on the portal which is nice. I had several conversations with the nutritionist who was also very kind and helpful. I am very happy with my treatment here.
This place is a mess. Doctors quite all the time so you get shuffled around from doctor to doctor as a patient - and as a result your prescriptions get messed up and run out of refills. I now have to wait a full month to get a prescription refilled because I have been waiting almost 2 months to see the new doctor that was assigned to me. They clearly do NOT care about the heath of their patients. Go to any other doctors if you want to actually receive help/your medications.
Literally one of the best clinics I know in the entire NYC area. I have been coming here for years as well as other family members. I can say like any other practice they might have their off days but when it comes down to REAL emergencies the staff & doctors are more than prepared!!!! They called the ambulance for me immediately, were ready to perform the necessary procedures to treat me with a code blue (scenario) & for ANY problem I have whether birth control related or a simple cold, they’re always willing to help the patient out. I wouldn’t change doctors not even if they paid me. I’m staying right here.Perfect for anyone and everyone/ 0 discrimination and judge-free zone.
Ive never seen a clinic with scheduling this bad. Ive been here about 5 times for a variety of reasons, and typically have to wait more than an hour after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. My Dr. Visits are never more than 15/20 minutes, so really I end up wasting hours for a quick visit. DO NOT GO HERE!Youre better off finding somewhere with a 30 minute commute than going here. The entire experience will take less time and you wont be lied to about your appointment time. Dont waste your time with this awful place.
Spend at least two hours to see the doctor my every single visit. Even it’s just going over the test result, which usually takes 10 min but have to be prepared for at least 1.5 hour wait to do that. Patients curse and yell at each other. Horrible experience. It’s just ridiculous. My appointment was at 1 I arrived on time. Waited 2 hours already and was told there’s still at least 45 minutes wait. So by the time I was seen it was 3 hours after my scheduled appointment. Another time I waited 3 hours to get my second hepatitis B shot. Waited for the first hour and wasn’t called so I checked in with the front desk they didn’t know what was going on either so I waited another half an hour was seen by the nurse for regular body temperature blood pressure check up and went back to the waiting room sat another hour to be seen by the doctor and it was just like ok u are getting your second shot today and so I was sent back to the waiting room to wait another half an hour to actually get the shot which takes 2 seconds to complete. What is the point of scheduling appointment if it makes u wait 3 hours every single time. They always over book appointment. If u have an appointment, be prepared u are going to spend your entire morning or afternoon sitting there dealing with rude staff members and angry patients. Completely waste of time. Avoid at all cost.
I have such a terrible experience every singletime I come here. There is absolutely no point in making an appointment at this place because you’ll literally still be there three hours after your scheduled appointment time. I had a 10:30am appointment and didn’t leave till 1:30pm and all I needed was to get my blood drawn.It’ll be your lucky day if you call and they answer the phone on the second or third try.Like a previous reviewer said, I’ve been trying to get a physical form filled out for weeks now and they’ve kept delaying it, having me get vaccines i didn’t need and giving me the run around. They have no consideration for people’s time.Are the staff here unaware of how unprofessional and terrible their service is?They take their time as if people don’t have other things to do, it’s ridiculous.I used to come here as a kid and loved it but it’s definitely changed for the worse.I’ll be changing my primary care physician immediately.
I was just hung up on 4x while trying to reschedule an appointment for my disabled mother. When this place opened they were awesome, now youll be placed on hold and they will pick up and drop the receiver on you. Just like that. I would normally be surprised for a health clinic to act this way, but its become the norm here. I expect to have to call 3-4x when Im scheduling her for this place. Shame on you guys for literally hanging up on a patient, let alone 4x. Why even pick up the line if youre not ready for the call? What is this action even for? I recorded the last hang-up because Im just so astonished this is how a health facility conducts itself.
Doctors and nurses are very good... the staff running the place are terrible. Their waiting room is about the size of a small kindergarden classroom and chairs are set up that way except typically they schedule 50 or so patients and jam them into this space for hours waiting. This is just sloppy management, who all seem to have ample space and offices of their own. Overall though the doctors here are excellent, Ive always gotten excellent care once you finally see them... which can take hours. Though their dentists are awful and work in 30 min appt which is not enough time to do one filling and will attempt to get 4-5 done in a rush w sloppy work. Theres a better dentist right across the street. I only use this place because its a block away from me and if you catch them at slow hours its tolerable and actual medical care is competent.
Very bad experience. Ive been going to this clinic since I was a child and I called 10 times to make an appointment they do not answer or they pick up and hang up on you. I called private after I called 10 times and they picked up. They highly discriminate people and talk bad about patients there. The waits are between 1-3 hours as well. Even if youre going to just get a prescription it takes up to 1-3 hours of waiting. AVOID THIS CLINIC IF YOU DO NOT WANT BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST OR DO NOT WANT TO WAIT UP TO 3HOURS FOR ANY APPOINTMENT YOU MAKE ! HORRIBLE CLINIC
This place is completely horrible you make appointments months ahead and they still will call you and cancel your appointment. If you go in there you will wait for almost two hours which makes no sense. I had an appointment for 1045 I was checked in at 1030 the lady called me to take my blood pressure and give them a urine sample there was 4 other cups in the holding box before I put mine in there. I waited an whole hour before I found someone to ask how long does it take to check urine the lady gonna tell me dont rush them they will do it when they ready. Ive been coming here for almost 5 years and this is by far the worst experience Ive ever had with this place . I will never go back here again. They dont even serve a star
I am constantly having terrible experience with this clinic. The staff are incapable of doing their job. I had scheduled in my 3 month check up with my doc month before and got informed 2 days out that he wont be in that day. To then be told I wont be able to see him for another 2 weeks. I made that appointment but had to change it again due to work commitments and then turn up for the appointment to be told I dont have appointment booked in. I dont understand how hard it is to book a patient in? is this something the staff need to be re trained? After demanding to see a doctor asap they were unable to help me out. So i will be going to another doctor moving forward.Wait time to literally get blood test is a joke. I am on average there for 1.5 hours. Appalling!! What service is that?Staff are unprofessional and terrible at their service. This needs to change.
Its a good community service but definitely a mixed bag. Reception staff is disorganized and disinterested. Expect exceptionally long wait times. Ive had mixed experiences and dont want to discount those doing great work here, some doctors are really wonderful and genuinely take time to care for the patients.
I waited over a month for my appointment, then the day before my appointment they called me to tell me they entered my insurance incorrectly and that my insurance isnt accepted and that I need to cancel.
I would say this is probably the worst experience Ive ever had but it IS the WORST experience ever. Doctor Gayelle said I could not have my birth control sent it to my pharmacy because I havent seen her and Im away at school and cannot come down to Manhattan. You would think a doctor would be more considerate. One of the nurses, Burnadette, was very helpful. But these people are very unprofessional, i dont know how these people are still in business. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THEM ANYMORE. I hope someone reads this review and takes it into consideration.
Horrible. You can’t get in touch with the office ever. Looping automated voice messages. No one ever returns your message (you’ll be dead before you get in touch with your doctor). I’ve brought up repeated concerns and issues that never get fixed. Very unorganized and unprofessional. The office manager (sounds like a young guy) is super unprofessional, unhelpful and obviously doesn’t know what he is doing. What’s worse he blatantly doesn’t care and show a complete lack of regard for the health of the patients. This place need to get a check up from the board of health.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME!!! Ive NEVER written a review before, but in this case thought it was very necessary. I have been going to this place for a few years now and have nothing but one complaint after another. Ive complained to the office manager a few times only to hear were sorry. Each time I go the wait is anywhere from 1 HOUR-3 HOURS. NO EXAGGERATION! Even to call on the phone Ive waited up to 22 minutes OH HOLD!! Why did I endure such torture? Because the only saving grace in that place is Dr. POLINSKY (forgive me for the misspelling?). If not for her I would have left a long time ago. She was the reason I kept returning time after time. A good doctor is hard to find; an AMAZING doctor- even harder. Believe me Ive asked Dr. Polinsky if she has a private office. I would go in a heartbeat. BUT today Ive made up my mind to seek another PCP elsewhere. Ive had enough. I called today to make an appointment with Dr. Polinsky for my daughter who was discharged from Cornell after being there all week. I gave the receptionist all this information, was put on hold for 13 minutes and then was disconnected! I called back only to receive the voice mail. Again, Ive never written a review before for anything and I hope that this helps someone else.
The doctors and nurses are very friendly, helpful and lightens me up everytime I go here. The people in the front desk are sometimes good and sometimes bad but the times I have been here everyone has been nice to me. Because of so many people going here, wait times can be long but setting a time for the evening at 5 or 6 can lower that wait time by a lot.
Receptionist dont care about their job. lady with glasses complaining can I just go home? no one is here when clearly there was about a handful. I was suppose to see my nutrionist at 9:30 but nothing for half hour. walked up to receptionist and she didnt submit me in the system for nutrionist to know I was here. receptionist made some BS up saying, she knows youre here. HA! asked the nutrionist and she didnt know I was here until 5 minutes before she came out to see me. So receptionists are not only lazy gossipers, but incompetent. however, giving 2 stars because if you actually do see the nurse, doctors and admin (people who actually know and want to do work) they know and care about your health. reception is horrendous. look out for the short lady with glasses, shes a hell of a gossiper about other patients and super lazy and does not have a welcoming look
I had a physical on Monday, April 22nd with Nurse Practitioner Amy Roberts. I came in with a very basic well ness form from the state to be signed by a doctor. I completed my standard physical and even full blood work and Amy Roberts sent me home, assuring me that my paper will be signed in a couple of days and she would give me a call. A couple of days had gone by and I ended up calling the clinic to see the progress of the signature on my very basic physical form. The clinic told me that there was no signature and they would call me back with further progress, on Thursday, April 25th . I don’t get a call from the clinic about my form being completed until Wednesday, May 1st. The clinic called 2 times on Wednesday, May 1st and 2 times and Thursday, May 2nd, all times I was at work and each time I answered I said please stop calling because I’m at work and please leave a note on my file that I will come pick up at earliest convenience. The receptionist informed me she would leave a note in my file so I would receive no more calls and I could pick up my paper at my convenience. Friday, May 3rd I get a fifth call from the clinic saying my paper is now not ready to be picked up because Amy Roberts wants to do more blood tests. Again this is a very basic wellness form. I requested to talk to Amy Roberts for this was very surprising to me and annoying for I am being bothering in the middle of my work day and given the run around. It is now Wednesday, May 8th at 1:20pm and I am at the clinic waiting on them to rectify a copy of my form with a doctors signature on it. This has been the most inconvenient experience. Amy Roberts your job isn’t to make people lives harder. Shame on you.
I attended this community healthcare network for my nexplanon birthcontrol, and I loved it! The workers are very helpful, kind and fast. I absolutely loved my healthcare worker Janay White, she was amazing help! She made me feel super comfortable and welcomed. She answered all of my questions and was super positive! This place deserves my 5-stars.
I’ve always had a good experience here. They are definitely very busy but they have the patients best interest at heart.
THE RECEPTIONISTS ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORSE. THEY ACT AS IF NO ONE IS ABLE TO BUZZ YOU INTO THE FACILITY WHEN INFACT, THEY ALL HAVE BUZZERS UNDER THEIR DESKS. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONES, WHICH SUCKS BECAUSE THEYRE THE ONLY WAY TO ACTUALLY SCHEDULE OR CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR DOCTOR. Not to mention, theyre never on time. Youll be here for hours, even if youre on time or early for your appointment. I still gave them 2 stars because the doctors there are amazing and very helpful.
Extremely rude staff and dishonest. Especially the nurse Nicole Villavega. Also the entire staff is dishonest as they refer to a midwife as “doctor” when the individual has prescription abilities but no doctorate degree
I was trying not give any stars because they dont deserve it. I waited for a whole month for a physical form to be filled out. They kept trying to get me to get all these vaccine which i already had. I brought them records and still. They just wanted to bill my insurance. Horrible dont go there unless you need FREE CONDOMS...😁
If I could give 0 stars I would. The staff are friendly, but the scheduling needs major improvement. On 2 separate occasions, I had appointments and the first time had to wait 45 minutes before being brought back, and the second time I had to wait >75 minutes. Whatever you do, go somewhere else for dental exams.
I Love the Community HealthCare Network *CABS. My favorite locations are the East Village and Willamsburg. However, both locations need to update/computerize their checkinfor appointments. The wait time for checkin is horrific! Most Doctors are kind, caring an attentive. Unfortunately, I met two God Syndromes. I immediately changed to another Doctor. Also, I must say I never meant kinder Nurses and Staff! Most locations have Dental Services. All in All it is a Good, Clean place to go for Care.
You can be confident that this office will screw up your medical needs every step of the way, from scheduling appointments to diagnoses, the level of incompetence from all parties involved is staggering. Avoid at all costs.

I have been going here for 7 years and the only downside is there are long waittimes in the waiting area. Otherwise I have been extremely happy with the professionals I see and how through and consistent the staff is.
Called to make an appointment I change my address I tried to give the lady my address she was talking to me in rude tone I told her there’s no need to yell and she hung up on me what is the point of having a clinic to help people if the people you hired don’t want to do their job or don’t feel the need to be Sarah I will go to another cleaning I don’t want to be going down there no more I would not encourage anyone to go there they are rude
Okay, service honestly like most nurse then the doctors but what I hate the most of this place is calling time ends an hour before they even close. I tried calling 10 minutes ago and the call just drops.
I have been going here for 10 years and happy with the services. The staff are pleasant and the providers are knowledgeable.

Very bad experience, I have been taking care of myself for 5 years, and I have two children whom I take to the clinic as well, but it really annoys me that when you call they put you on hold and I have been waiting for up to 12 minutes, if it werent by DR. Holy & Dr. Polanski, who are excellent professionals, I will change clinics!
