This is the WORST doctors office. Please do not come here if you care about your health and well being because they certainly do not. These good reviews must be paid for or bought. Have been trying to get medication for 2 weeks. Saying that again. I have been missing my medication for TWO WEEKS. I’ve tried everything. Went in office because they forced me to. Still no medication. Persistent calls daily for nearly two weeks. Still no medication. Messages sent to patient portal literally begging them to respond. Still no medication. Calls to the pharmacy to beg them to get ahold of the office. STILL NO MEDICATION. This is a factory style office. You’ll never get the same provider twice. No continuity in care. All they care about is getting you to come in so they can charge you. Please for your sake and well being DO NOT GO HERE.
I read all the reviews and I still decided to schedule an appointment since the staff is usually great. However after this visit, not even a great doctor will be enough of a reason for me to return. I am hesitating between giving a 1-3 stars. Simply put my time at the clinic was around 2 hrs. They first made me wait an hour in the lobby after checking in. After, I waited then an 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor. The doctor was great but I have never seen a more disorganized clinic. The practice manager did call me after to apologize and promised next time it won’t be like this, so I do give them credit for trying to rectify the situation. However the situation should not have happened in the first place.
This is by far the worst doctor’s office I’ve visited. Do not come here.Three visits, three instances of waiting over 60 minutes to be seen. Most recently 90 minutes. No, I am not exaggerating. Take a look at some of the other reviews if you don’t believe me.This place should be a case study for medical office mismanagement.
Terrible, unprofessional, disorganized are the most appropriate words to use to describe this practice. I scheduled an appointment for a month ago for a standard annual OBGYN exam. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment, however proceeded to wait 1.5 hours before being seen. Not sure what the point in being able to schedule an appointment is if not only will the time not be honored, but they will be running hours, plural, behind. When I finally was seen by someone, it was the nurse to ask me the standard questions (do you smoke, family history, etc) and then I proceeded to wait another 30-45 minutes for the actual doctor. The actual appointment itself was brief, pelvic exam, sonogram, and blood testing, and I was done in about thirty minutes. I made sure to inform the physician who saw me that I needed a refill on my birth control, and she assured me that I would receive the prescription by the end of the day. Weeks went by without a prescription ever being written, so I called again after three weeks. In the phone with the front desk associate, I was told that on my form it said the physician who saw me presented me with a range of birth control options and that I declined all of them and that was why I had not received a prescription. That information was entirely false, no such conversation was had about options. I let the woman on the phone know this, and she apologized for the mix up and put me on hold for about ten minutes. After being on hold she came back to let me know she spoke with the physician and that the prescription would be filled out once she came in for the day. It has now been five days since that promise was made and still I am without birth control. I called the office again (!) today and this time the front desk woman tells me there is no mention of a prescription or birth control in my file at all! Funny how the information continues to morph! She then tells me to fix this I will have to speak with the office manager. Never heard of having to speak with an “office manager” at a health care practice for medicine. I asked her if she would be directing me to this office manager to which she says no but that she can give me her number. I write the number down and immediately call, twice. And of course, the call went straight to voicemail each time. As I said, terrible, unprofessional, and disorganized. And the place didn’t seem especially sterile either. Avoid this practice at all costs. If I could leave negative stars I would.
I would give it one star, but I actually felt very comfortable in this place…for the one time I was able to visit. I was getting multiple tests done as well as needed to get an IUD replaced. Everything was fine until they stopped answering their phones. I called everyday for months (which everyone I know can attest to cause I talked about this everyday when I would call and get nothing). Well you guys called me once, after a month, telling me that you would call back because my IUD “wasn’t in yet.” I should’ve known that was never going to happen. Now I’m getting harassed for a payment and no one’s giving me answers. Not to mention, the guy was extremely rude over the phone to the point where now, I just ignore the calls. Also, I made sure that my insurance was accepted at this place multiple times before my appt, but there’s apparently “no coverage” according to you guys. So now I’m sitting here with a large bill, an inactive IUD in, and still no answers. Moral of the story. You have some nice doctors but the operation is a mess. Sorry.
First visit was great. Everyone has wonderful bedside manner and the offices are nice, bright and clean. I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable here. 100% recommend.
Location was great. APP was amazing and gentle. Very clean. I would have given them 5 stars had it not took OVER a full month to get my results. I called multiple times over 3weeks and each time I was told the results were in and they would be uploading them to my portal. Not once was this done. Then I finally got a manager to send the results over, but I guess they expect patients to be their own clinicians, because no MD feedback is provided. Why did I come if I would have to Google my own results? Are doctors not there to advise any more? This is completely horrible patient care and after my experience there, extremely disappointing.Updated… it’s been about 2 months and no one has called me…
You go there, they will not be able to answer you properly to your questions in regards to your worry about your health issues, then they will just “LOSE” your lab results…. Then they will never get back to you or read your ULTRASOUND or MRI results they sent you to have …. They just charge your insurance and that’s all… they have been avoiding me since March 2024 now and have no clue where are my results they are confused and never have answers…/
Been here twice with my wife, both times arrived 10 minutes before appointment time, both times waited OVER one hour before a doctor saw us. Not exaggerating. 60+ minutes in the waiting room. The room they finally admitted us to was about 80 degrees, and, you guessed it, we had to stay in there at least 30 more minutes before seeing the doctor. This room was in a state of disrepair - random items lying around, a piece of the drywall missing near the electric outlet, the computer monitor’s side panel was hanging off. They didn’t take down any of the information we provided in our first visit, so we wasted another 30 minutes doing a recap of the first visit. All the staff seem to be roaming around aimlessly, so if you want anything done you need to leave your room to flag them down. While waiting in the aforementioned sauna/patient room, we had several nurse practitioners come into the room not to service us, but to grab supplies. This office is truly a symphony of organizational incompetence. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else - somewhere your time is valued and management doesn’t so blithely cut corners.
I’ve been to this office three times now, today was my best interaction out of the three. All three have had 45 min+ wait times even though I arrived early, and all three have had confused staff unsure of who I was, what room I was supposed to go to, what procedure I was there for, etc. I think this office would be fine if you are going for a routine checkup etc, but anything unique seems to be a bit more than what their office can handle. The saving grace for today was the provider Samantha, who actually listened to/validated my concerns and made me feel like a real person and not just “the 6:45 appointment.” Thank you Samantha.
I visited this location with provider, Dr. Jeffrey A. Mazlin, in July and I felt like I had such a hard time being heard. I felt like my issues and fears werent taken seriously and it felt like pulling teeth to get the tests I wanted. After standing up for myself and being persistent, detailing my full symptoms one by one, he obliged, but the bed side manner was severely lacking. There was absolutely no follow up to explain to me my results and while I have them, since theyve posted in my portal, Im still in the dark. Even after sending the doctor a message and asking for clarity, Ive received none. If you have anxieties about being dismissed or about being seen by a doctor in general, I do not recommend this physician.I usually see Dr. Sonia Kim, but she wasnt available and I really needed to be seen. After my experience with Dr. Mazlin, I dont think Ill be returning to this location. Im really distraught because a good gyn is hard to find and Dr. Kim is great one, but I dont see myself returning to this office.
The 67th Street and 2nd Ave location consistently exhibits extensive wait times for patients. Despite arriving punctually for my scheduled appointment on July 23rd, I found myself waiting for over 40 minutes to be called into an examination room.Upon entering the examination room, I experienced an additional delay of more than 30 minutes before being attended to by a provider.Additionally, there was a considerable delay as a physician assistant student attempted to perform a routine procedure, encountering difficulties with the blood pressure measurement device and displaying unfamiliarity with the charting application. This led to repeated exits from the room to seek guidance, ultimately prolonging the visit.Following the completion of lab work for the July appointment, I submitted two requests via the patient portal for a provider to contact me, but received no response. In an effort to address these concerns, I scheduled an appointment to review my lab work on August 16th at 9:00 am. Despite arriving ahead of my 9:15 am appointment time, I was not seen by a provider and by 10:10 am I decided to leave. This delay led to a significant level of frustration, predominantly due to the practices evident disorganization and inadequate patient care.Based on my experiences, I regret to state that I cannot recommend this location.
If I could have given zero stars, I would. The worst place ever! So disorganized. My appointment was for 1:30 pm. I arrived 15 minutes early, but I still ended up waiting to see the doctor for two and a half hours. They had me change into a gown and wait in the room for another 20 minutes. I had to call the office and ask if somebody was coming to my room or what.
Would give -5 stars if possible, its been the worst ob/gyn experience ever and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. It felt like every doctor and nurse was a trainee on their very first day. Throughout my visit, I kept hearing from the staff repeatedly asking one another for help, saying, Can you please do the exam? Its my first day. Then they asked me would need to do blood test, it was nurses first day too - they tried from left hand, then pricked my other arm - still couldnt get the sample. Then apologized and say its nurses first day too. Then they asked me to go to labcorp to get the sample taken for test. After a disorganized ultrasound, I waited endlessly for the doctor, who never showed up. Instead, an assistant hurriedly gave me a vague summary of the results as it was already around 9:30 PM as they wanted to rush home. I dont know whats the turnover rate of this clinic or they treat their pregnant patients as a joke. After the visit completed, receptionist acked that all OB visits are all covered in my insurance, so no charges will be applied. I was already aware of that so we left the place. A month later, I received a staggering bill from LabCorp, only to discover that the clinic had erroneously marked my visit as an annual checkup instead of a first-trimester scan. When I called the clinic to resolve the issue, I was met with a frustrating game of phone tag—reception directed me to the billing office, who then directed me back to reception, and eventually, I was told to contact the clinics elusive owner. This mistake has cost me a significant amount of money and time.To make matters worse, 1.5 months after my visit, I received yet another bill from the clinic, again mischaracterizing my visit as an annual checkup. It’s absurd to think that a pregnant woman would be visiting for a routine annual checkup rather than a necessary pregnancy-related scan. This reeks of a scam designed to extract as much money as possible from patients and their insurance. As of today, I still havent received any reports from the ultrasound performed during my visit on July 2024. The stress and frustration this clinic has caused me—a pregnant woman who should be avoiding stress—are unacceptable. This was my first and last visit to this clinic, and the OB/GYN clinic I have since switched to has provided excellent care without any of these outrageous charges.I’m writing this review as a warning to other expectant mothers: think twice before trusting this clinic with your care. You are entrusting your health and your child’s health to inexperienced doctors who lack the confidence to handle your needs. You will likely end up paying far more than you should for subpar care. This is the worst possible choice you could make for your pregnancy.
Don’t ignore the bad reviews! I had such high expectations for this place but they let me down every single time. I came here just for annuals until something was wrong so I came in a few times back to back within a couple months. They suspected I had PCOS but couldn’t confirm until the last visit. Instead of having some sort of bedside manner when you inform a patient they have a chronic condition. The PA walked in and said “did you know you have PCOS?” In an accusatory tone, like if I came here for fun or something. I decided to never go back after that. Especially since at no point did I meet with a doctor. Yes, I was billed for a physician visit with the doctor who owns the practice but I NEVER met with a doctor. Always a PA. Unfortunately it didn’t end there. They have called me religiously since the end of 2022 offering appointments. No matter how many times I’ve asked them to stop they just continue. Now when they call and I tell them I’ve already asked them to stop they hang up on me. I’ve tried to contact someone about this but they either hang up or ignore me. I’m not sure what they are going for but this is not quality patient care. Do better.
This is the worst possible OBGYN to go to. I highly recommend staying far away from this organization. They do not care for their patients. I was told they found what seemed to be an abnormality/condition from an initial study of mine, and I have since been waiting for over 3 months to get test results back. The office doesn’t answer the phone, the back office has no idea what they are doing and cannot contact the main office because they don’t answer the phone, and the doctors are irresponsible and unaccountable. In addition to this nightmare of an experience, I was told from the male doctor at the office (that I did not know I was seeing, as I had only seen female practitioners there) that it was great I had lost so much weight because I was so unbelievably sick and then goes on to compare his own experiences to mine. This doctor was probably a 60 yr old male, who thought it was okay to be comparing his own health experiences to a 25 yr old female patient. Stay away from this place unless you want to feel humiliated, inferior, and unimportant. P.S. OBGYN - if you see this, please take a look at my file and have a doctor call me back.
I never leave reviews but this place is honestly horrible. The day of my appointment which was in March 2024, I waited one hour to see my doctor which was not the one I originally made the appointment with. Once I was brought to the back, I waited an other hour to see the doctor. I don’t remember her name but she was cold and not welcoming at all. Then asked if I wanted to do some other test and I said sure and made me wait almost an other hour, I decided 45 minutes in I was done with this. So I got up and went out to tell them I wanted to leave asap! They finally discharged me and after I didn’t get my results until May 2024!!!!!!! I waited two months for my test results and they called me multiple times to give me different results. I’m so frustrated with this place! Please don’t go here!!! They just waste your time.
This organization should highlight it is a rotating practice. I never knew what this was until someone else helped me define it. Don’t come here!!!! I’m 34 weeks pregnant and have been coming here since the beginning of my pregnancy. I’d give them 1 star but I like that they have availability after work hours. They are a rotating practice. You will be seeing different doctors and won’t know who yours is. If you need a doctors note ask them to print it out. I had to ask twice for the emailed pdf and still haven’t gotten it. It’s not in my garden app either. For WAIT TIMES- you will wait 1-1.5 hours to get your vitals, then wait another 20 min for ultrasound then 10-20 min for a doctor. A visit there is a ridiculous waste of time. I wouldn’t have chosen to go here if I knew this is how it would be. And I didn’t know I couldn’t transfer to another OB GYN in the later stages of my pregnancy, so If it’s your first pregnancy, just know to choose the best gyno from the beginning because most doctors don’t accept transfer patients. In addition I explained my symptoms to my doctor and they took 3 weeks to get back to me with test results only to confirm my iron deficiency was worsening and that I failed the glucose test which meant I am high risk for pre gestational diabetes. Now I know why I feel so terribly after meals, which I didn’t understand previously. I took off work because of this. I was passing out when sitting and couldn’t cook for myself. I think this is a great place if you’re needing a fast appointment because they WILL take you. But you will be bombarded with phone calls and texts and emails confirming your appointment which is very annoying. They will ask you the same questions as if it’s your first time. Front desk staff look over worked and stressed all the time. Like I literally feel bad for one of the girls, she looks like she’s on adderall with her eyes open but is supppper sweet. The other one couldn’t take her eyes off my husband and looked like she wanted to eat him alive which I don’t blame her because he’s hot lol . But I found it super rude and I got uncomfortable with him coming at that point. They need to get more organized. I’m always having to re-enter my id and insurance into their system. It’s annoying …I don’t recommend this place if you want to give birth with the same physician you’re seeing because you won’t be seeing the same person. You won’t know who yours is…. So all in all. Do not go here.
Horrible - would rather go to urgent care than this place. First off when you make your appointment it’s not clear which doctor you’re getting, which would be fine but they don’t tell you you could have a male doctor. Then I get there a little bit before my appointment, but an hour after my appointment time they still haven’t seen me and tell me it’s going to be a significant wait. They only have one female doctor on staff and she’s backed up because no one wants to see the male doctor. Obviously! Most people going to the OB/GYN are more comfortable seeing a female doctor and they clearly don’t account for that in their scheduling.A simple phone call earlier in the day to tell me they were backed up and needed to reschedule would be fine! Such a waste of time commuting there and then waiting to never be seen! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, unless you like making appointments and then waiting 1hr+ to be seen.
When I was finally called in for my appointment, the physician who saw me seemed rushed and disinterested. He barely took the time to listen to my concerns and rushed through the examination without explaining what he was doing or why. I also did not understand him due to his strong accent. I felt like just another number on a long list of patients he needed to see that day.Furthermore, the waiting period was crazy. It is essential for healthcare providers to prioritize their patients well-being and comfort, qualities that were sorely lacking in my experience at this office. On top of that , they are having issues with the patient portal and they will not call you for your results you have to come to the office or call . This is unacceptable. I will not recommend this place.4/25/24Ive been waiting forever for my blood test results. Seriously, do not even think about going to this place. They bombard you with endless propaganda and useless text notifications, all while wasting your time.
THIS REVIEW IS FOR AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY FIANCES APPOINTMENTThis place is borderline fraudulent and it seems the other reviewers agree and have had similar experiences. We were going for the initial pregnancy checkup. Everything was fine but they kept on insisting that we come back every 4-5 days for an ultrasound until they would be able to hear a heart beat. The entire time it just felt like we were just a revenue source for them and they would up sell and try to push as many tests and ultrasounds on us to generate even more revenue for them. The doctors would say that they would call us back to go over test results but never got a call back or anything. They forget about you as soon as you fork over the money to them. The worst part is that the doctor told us that she was going to do only TWO tests and gave us the invoice for the TWO tests. However - on the order to labcorp she wrote for them to bill us for TEN TESTS!! We only did two tests! But she had no problem telling lab corp to bill us for TEN!!! This is medical fraud!! How can you tell a patient that you will only administer two tests and have it in their patient checkup summary then turn your back on the patient and bill them for TEN tests behind their back? Shame on the doctors and billing department there!Absolute frauds!!
Unprofessional. Unorganized. Avoidant. After three and a half weeks I gave up trying to contact my doctor. I sent the confusing blood work results that were uploaded on the portal to a family friend doctor and I decided that I guess no news is good news for the pap and swab (even though I was told that they would call either way). Today I received a call saying that I need to come in because of my Pap smear results. I said no because, like I said, I’ll never go back there. The result was that the test was unreadable- both the Pap smear and the swab, and will therefore need to be repeated. It took one month for this office to tell me that the samples they took were invalid and all need to be repeated. I’ll never go back here, not because of the mistake, but because of the lack of communication.
Place looks great, staff is excellent. My only feedback is the wait time. My appointment was at 5:30pm, and I was taken to the room almost an hour later. Lets see how it goes when its time to get my results.
I recently had an outstanding experience at Garden ObGYN, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Kathy and Andzelika.Kathys prompt response to my feedback was impressive. She listened attentively to my concerns and addressed them immediately.Andzelika went above and beyond to ensure I received my test results efficiently. Her kindness, support, and professionalism were truly appreciated.Although my previous visit had some hiccups with waiting times, Andzelika took my feedback seriously and made sure everything was taken care of. Her dedication to patient satisfaction is commendable. Both Kathy and Andzelika exemplify the highest standards of patient care. Their commitment to listening, empathy, and efficient service has restored my confidence in Garden ObGYN.Thank you, Kathy and Andzelika, for your outstanding service!Rating: 5/5 starsI highly recommend Garden ObGYN, especially with staff like Kathy and Andzelika who genuinely care about patient experiences.
Without a doubt, the worst healthcare providers I have ever been to. Not only are they unprofessional, rude, have made me feel bad about myself on multiple occasions but on top of that they make me wait 1-2 hours every time I have an appointment. This is a nightmare office, please please no matter how desperate you are for an appointment with an OBGYN - do not come here and subject yourself to this terrible, borderline abusive service.
Update to below and in response to your reply - if that was true your office would stop calling me to pay a bill for blood drawn twice same visit when that was a mistake on your staffs part by not reading the blood draw request and making me sit through two. As I have advised i will NOT be paying the bill for the 2nd blood draw not covered by insurance because of your staffs inability to do their job correctly.I did a review a month ago - but it’s now missingI would avoid this practiceI was never seen by a doctor ( It was an annual OBGYN appointment so weird no doctors present) but I digress - after a quick appointment - same day- without full lab results - they scheduled me immediately for a procedure at their other office under anesthesia which was the 2nd time three years apart visiting this practice that I was immediately rushed to an invasive procedure. Also on their website they have 5 star reviews but I had a tablet taken away from me as I was writing a review because I had concerns. Three years prior the other office was where the mini surgery was performed seemed dirty and I remember being concerned as I was half in the hallway half naked - if it was even sterile. After I got nervous and went for a second option this time - I can report back the procedure was NOT recommended by 2 other doctors in different practices) I also had to wait 2 plus weeks for my labs which was a week after my procedure was scheduled. Seems strange. If you go or make an appointment confirm you will be seen by an actualDoctor. Seems like the minimum standard of care that should be required when invasive procedures are being scheduled. I have to wonder if this is a money grab from patients and their insurance companies.
I would give zero stars if I could — after waiting almost three weeks, I had to HOUND the office for my lab results. Come to find out the lab results were reported nearly 2 weeks ago but the office never uploaded them to my portal or sent me any messages. They are IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with, even if you manage to get the direct number for their office — Ive been trying to reach my doctor all day and have called literally 15 times (not an exaggeration, FIFTEEN TIMES) with no luck. Not to mention, a very similar thing happened to my girlfriend, so this appears to be a pattern. Plus, you can expect to wait a minimum of 1 hour for literally any appointment. DO NOT GO HERE.
This was my first time going to an OBGYN in a new city on my own and away from my momma! I’m from St. Louis and moved out here with the intention of finding a set OBGYN that I trusted and felt comfortable at. I was not only over-whelmed with very polite and genuine care, but I was also happy to see that majority of the women there are of color. And THAT is powerful. I love it here! I found my new OBGYN💕
Should have known when the NP I saw said that she was leaving the practice at the start of the exam that I would have problems. Billed me for tests I did not know about nor consented to. I talked to the manager who said she would help me dispute the testing with Labcorp. I called Labcorp weeks after, and they said there was no contact. Unprofessional and unorganized.
This is absolutely the worst clinic I have ever been to. Avoid avoid avoid!! They are super unprofessional, the owner is incredibly inappropriate and made very questionable remarks right after giving me a pap exam. The whole office was unprofessional in terms of how they handled everything from checking me in to how long I had to sit there waiting to be seen. I got to the clinic at 4:30pm and left at 7:30pm. This is completely unacceptable. Now, it’s been almost an entire month and I still haven’t gotten my lab results back. I follow up daily and they said they are having “technical difficulties” and unsure when I will get this. Absolutely the worst experience of my life how could this possibly be how women’s healthcare is?! Total disgrace I wish I could give it 0 stars and report the owner altogether for running such a horrible practice.
I absolutely love Garden OB/GYN! The staff are so friendly and professional. My visits run smoothly and never take too long. I am happy I found this place to experience my first pregnancy.
07/26/2024:I am updating my rating to a 4 because, despite the fact that my results took two months to be reported in their portal, their vaginal swab test picked up on something that other OB/GYNs never thought to test for. I was symptom free for a while but had recurring issues again in late June. The testing that Garden OB/GYN did was comprehensive enough to provide a potential explanation. It seems like the results come in around the two week mark, they just arent uploading them into the portal in a timely fashion. Thats my primary issue with this office, you have to hound them for results. It also took a full 24 hours for them to fill my prescription (only after I called multiple times). If they worked out these logistics, this would be an incredible office.I am returning for a follow up appointment in September, though, I am checking in with other providers in-between because I need a faster turn around time.My original review:I never review docs offices but I came here on Saturday, March 2nd and as of this morning on March 12 there are no sign of my lab results. I didnt have an issue with the care that I received, with the wait time, or with the office staff, however, without knowing what my issue(s) are its difficult to know how to proceed. This should not be a guessing game. I can see that they have a large volume of patients but something is very off. I scheduled an appointment with another provider this Friday because Im left wondering if I will have timely answers.
This office really fell off from what it use to be. If its new management then its sad because this use to be a great facility to visit for check ups. Long waits. They bill your insurance with providers that are not in network to make you pay out of pocket. Wont be back.
Horrible customer service!!! I waited for an appointment for a month and received 10-12 appt reminder text messages, I even got a call from the office to remind me of my appt the day before the appt to confirm. 2 hours later I get a call saying that they would need to reschedule my appt for another day and at a different location due to provider availability. I specifically made my schedule work around this appt only to be told that it would need to be rescheduled the day before said appt. On top of this complaint, you’re never seen by the same provider when you go and have to constantly be on top of your care. I was also seen earlier this year for my annual and finally after chasing the office for 4 weeks I was able to view my results in the portal. Busy office with poor follow up, customer service, unorganized and poor provider accountability! I will not be returning!
This clinic employs the most incompetent inexperienced unprofessional team . I have been on hold for 30 minutes now ; this is day four . On Monday I wa stood by the clinical staff my results were in and being reviewed by the provider . I was told I would receive a call back . Now today I’m being told by the receptionist that the results were JUST given to the provider (today Thursday) . Meaning other than informing me that the results were not available they lied to get my off the phone so they wouldn’t have to deal with me or with what was required of them to follow up . Texting through their app all I’m told is please call the office . The staff dismisses people , and refuse to do their due diligence to calm the nerves of someone waiting to hear a possible cervical cancer diagnosis . DISGUSTING!!!
This is a 2-part review. The first is for the doctor, Dr. Peter Maran, who is amazing. He delivered me and all these years later is now my obgyn, and he is patient and thorough, and just a wonderful doctor. I was a patient of his private practice in Brooklyn until it closed several months ago.My experience with this practice has not been great so far. After a whopping SIXTEEN text messages ( I counted) and additional phone calls in the week leading up to my appt to remind me to show up tell me there would be a $30 no-show fee, they called me the day before my appt to reschedule. After rescheduling me to the afternoon, I had to rearrange my work schedule, but arrived 45 minutes ahead of schedule. When I checked in and aid I had an appt with Dr Maran, they just said oh, he’s not in today you’ll be seeing another doctor. At no point when they were rescheduling my appt did they say Dr. Maran wouldn’t be there. When I refused to see a different doctor, they called the other Manhattan office, where he apparently was, and sent me down near Rockefeller Center to finally see my doctor. Ultimately, I spent nearly $70 on parking because I had parked at the original office, and then again near Rockefeller Center, and wasted several hours and unnecessary this situation.Dr. Maran was excellent, as always, but the front end of this practice has inexcusably poor patient services. I now have to call a week before any future appts to confirm my doctor, since they’re unable to guarantee any doctor’s schedule or location a few months in advance.
My experience at this office was great, clean, great Dr that listened, communicated well and addressed all my concerns but the receptionist can be more welcoming upon arrival and attentive during the waiting process and check in process.
First time goijg in February for a check up. It is August now and called me to tell me something was abnormal. Call to get results but told me to check the patient portal which does nothing for me because I don’t understand what the results are. Calling every minute and still no lab technicians to explain what’s going on with my Health . Absolutely ridiculous unorganized. People want results to know about their health why is it so hard to get that?
This place is extremely unorganized. I have been going here for 2-3 years, and there are always some types of issues. Either have no one is there to pick up the phone, no one answers any messages on the portal, or no one explains anything to the patient. So when you have to call them to see if everythings ready yet, youre told youre missing information. Or that something was never filed or scheduled, there is always a new problem and issue, and at this point, it is extremely concerning that they dont even seem to care at all.
It would give this clinic zero star if I could. Avoid at all costs.Very disorganized: I waited 2+ hours upon a 6:15 pm check-in.Unprofessional: The nurses doednt even know how to read my urianalysis and the doctor was rush to finish and didnt seem to care. I was sent home with antibiotics. After a week of taking it - I did not see any improvement with my symptoms. I called back and told the doctor that my symptom was perssist and asked for my culture result and for help. I was told to just wait. I never receied my culture result after months. They just didnt care.
The service was great! Everyone was very professional and helpful. I had NP Arlene who was very gentle with the procedure, I didn’t even realize she was done! Belinda, Denise, and the lab technician were also very nice, personable, and made me feel very comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because my appointment was at 6pm, and I wasn’t seen until around 7pm.
*FINAL UPDATE: I STILL DONT HAVE ALL OF MY LABS. ITS BEEN 4 MONTHS SINCE MY VISIT. BUT THEY HAVE ZERO PROBLEM MAKING SURE I GET THE BILL FOR MY VISIT. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK TO FOLLOW UP AS THEY PROMISED AFTER MY COUNTLESS PHONE CALLS. IM NEVER GOING BACK TO GARDEN.2 MONTHS UPDATE: STILL MISSING PARTIAL LAB RESULTS FOR A SIMPLE STD SCREENING.*OVER 1 MONTH SINCE EXAM UPDATE-STILL NO WORD ON MISSING LABS! As a long time patient- AVOID AT ALL COSTSAfter I posted my last update was the only time someone called me to apologize. However- despite having been told MANY times that my missing labs were put as high priority, I was NEVER contacted. FYI Garden, all of your staff is nice, but nice employees don’t count for anything when you can’t produce lab results and it’s been almost 5 WEEKS of waiting and basically harassing the administration for answers. BIGGEST concern is- WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE LAB?The last person who called me to apologize told me there was some type of DATA BREACH. My now pregnant friend who I once highly recommended to Garden years ago can’t even get her labs back either. I don’t need anyone calling me back to apologize. I NEED ANSWERS AND RESULTS OF MY LABS, as do ALL the patients who are experiencing this. If you guys can’t keep up with the labs or make sure our sensitive info is protected, then you shouldn’t be taking any appts.SEE ORIGINAL REVIEW ON THE BOTTOM**update. I originally had a 4 star review after my appt on 2/17/24. Fast fwd almost a month now, I am STILL waiting for partial lab results and no one has reached out to me despite me having called and texted several times for an update. I am the only one who’s been proactive about establishing communication and calling for the rest of my lab results and it went from them telling me to wait a bit longer, to they escalated the situation, to they had partial results and would upload them to the portal (which they did not) to they had a “delay” and have escalated it again BUT nobody ever calls me back to let me know what’s going on. They gave me the general number when I asked for a manager’s number and of course no one has picked up or called me back as usual. This is CONCERNING. If God forbid I actually had something, I’m out here a month after with NO RESULTS, NO MEDS, NO ANSWERS. They were never like this before. I don’t know if it’s the lab who’s gotten bad, the office, the communication or ALL of it- BUT the part where “what if I actually had a sickness and ZERO answers after one month” really has me upset enough to decide this was my last yr as a patient. Nice and polite staff is not enough to make me stay.ORIGINAL REVIEWI’ve been coming here for years. I think recent changes in staff might play a part in the decreased efficiency of Garden, at least in this location. The pros: The office is always clean, all of the staff is ALWAYS courteous, nice and professional. The wait time is usually minimal. They still have GREAT hours and even Saturday appts. The cons: setting up an appt I asked if the date I chose would be okay and they confirmed it was. I was exactly 1 yr due for an exam. Then I was told by another rep a few days later before the appt that I had to reschedule and the date was not okay (due to my insurance I have to wait 1 yr plus 1 day). I think some of the newer staff might be fairly new or inexperienced. Everyone should have the same knowledge all across the board when it comes to scheduling. I shouldn’t be told yes by one rep who is uninformed only to be told no by another when I specifically asked if the original date I chose was okay. At the appt, my weight wasn’t logged correctly in the system, I saw what the scale said and it was a good 25lb difference. They didn’t ask any questions to update the most recent information like changes in partners, changes in lifestyle like smoking, or if currently taking any prescriptions. The logging on their patient portal is not consistent. I had to call to remind them that I was missing some info and only then they said they would log it in.
Booked an appointment via ZocDoc, went there for a checkup. I was called thrice in 2 weeks time window, in every visit met a new doctor, had to give my medical history thrice, with ALL general tests done thrice including urine tests and transvaginal ultrasound. Had a terrible experience, not sure i understand how much things would change medically in the same week to have to do the same tests thrice in total with 2 scans done in the same week. Its pure business, lacks patient empathy and genuine concern. Would not recommend.
I had a great experience. Everyone was super attentive and proactive and they really make you feel like they care about you and take your concerns seriously. They were also able to do a sonogram and read the results on the spot so really takes the worry out of it. My only complain would be their messaging and calling system is really persistent, I got multiple calls and messages on the days leading up to the appointment to confirm even after I called the office to confirm my appointment. Other than that I highly recommend it.
Terrible. Takes them 2 weeks to get back to you for abnormal test results. Impossible to get in contact with anyone. You wait on hold for 30 min only to get redirected to voicemail then no one ever gets back to you. They’re consistently 30 min - 1 hour behind. Avoid at all costUpdate: they did it again! Tried to give another chance but actually horrendous. Cannot get in contact with anyone. Billing department call about a bill for an annual that i shouldn’t have been charged for but can’t answer any questions regarding it. (Bill doesn’t list what “lab tests” were done just some sort of coding) billing tells me to call their lab dept (who never answer or call back) because they can’t transfer me. Don’t even answer messages on the patient portal. Extremely unethical and useless. Drs are fine but not worth dealing with their office.
Terrible. I got a new job and therefore new insurance and requested the doctor update my prescription for a birth control that is covered. I called the office 30+ times over the course of 5 days. I’m now almost a week behind on my medication and they do not care. They’ve given me numbers to call that tell me to immediately call the office back. Don’t care about their patients, don’t care about the customer service.
Everyone was friendly and caring. It made an uncomfortable event very comfortable and pleasant. Thank you to all the doctors. Samantha, PA, sono folks and nurses at the lab. Thanks.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I went here last week for my ultrasound but the provider was running late so I was told by the front desk the provider will just call me within the day to discuss my result. I waited but provider never called. I’ve been calling the office in 67th street everyday but no one’s answering the phone and mailbox is full. I read the reviews and it’s ALL BAD but I still decided to go and give it a chance but really this is so DISAPPOINTING and UNACCEPTABLE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone!!!!
ZERO STARS! DO NOT GO HERE. They will tell you you need unnecessary procedures like a painful colposcopy when you actually don’t need It. When asked for further information regarding why i needed the colposcopy they told me they couldn’t tell me until after i got It, went to another obgyn a week later and turns out i didn’t need a colposcopy. GO TO ANOTHER OBGYN. They just want to bill the insurance company.
Friendly staff. Excellent service. Now with 8 months of maternity care at Garden, I would like to update my reviews. There are a few hiccups with the organization here. Examples: my OB and supposed regular maternity care provider has been switched 2 times (i.e., three different OB in the span of my maternity care so far). With the switch, comes a lot of confusion and even some missed blood tests. And lately the wait time has been a bit crazy due to the volume of patients thats passing through. However, even with all that said. I still believe that office tries their very best to offer the best care they can. Shout outs to Andzelika!! She really tries her best to provide us with transparency, advice and catch any dropped balls. Love Andzelika! Also another shout out to Dr. Henderson. Though my OB/maternity doctor hasnt been stable, Dr. Henderson at least has been our stable and consistent high risk/diabetes care doctor. At this point, my husband and I dont think all the OB visits are necessary and would just rather go on Sundays to see Dr. Henderson.
This place sucks. They never answer the phone, they called me two months after my Pap smear to give me results with minimal information. They have extensive wait times even if you arrive early. They rush you at every appointment. Don’t go here. I just was on hold for 40 minutes to speak with someone and NO ONE answered. Do better.
Please Please for the love of God don’t go here. They just charge you and never send you any of your results. I should’ve listened to the other reviews. I’ve been waiting on my results for 2 months now. I keep calling and they keep telling me that someone will call me tomorrow with the results but it’s been a week and I still haven’t heard from anyone. Don’t go here!!I will also be reporting this location to the New York State Department of Health, Office of Professional Medical Conduct. Because this is ridiculous. It’s like I paid them for nothing.
Dissatisfaction- each time a new doctor- two interns doing intake / kudos for hands on learning but it’s unacceptable. No one wants to be part of a test lab. Lab work no follow up until 3+ weeks later- then multiple calls received indicating - through notes are not documented and that there is no checks and balances. Another set of labs done and it’s going on a month ago’ “ The lab is experiencing technical difficulties!” Efficiently no errors as applicable to to being billed for something and still have not received results. GOD Forbid there is a need for follow up with labs and prescriptions involved. This is poor management. This is not well care or intentions at all. Furthermore the receptionist on a call has to attentively listen and not totally respond with and answer that is not aligned with the purpose of the call, let alone what was clearly stated. I pray this edtablishmeny does better- the convenience of booking and getting seen is superb BUT is compromised when there is mismanagement and no due diligence. Level up on your service because you are operating in dysfunction. Poor medical management is a liability. Lackadaisical medical care is not acceptable. Your team must be effective in order to sustain. Get out of business or improve your practice for the sake of you wouldn’t want that treatment for you or your loved ones!!!
Reeeally bad communication. After I made the appointment, I had like six different numbers texting me to confirm with all of these links. After I did all of that, I was then told that they probably didn’t accept my insurance. So I called the morning of with hours to spare to double check that they did, I sent them in photos of my card, waited to hear. They didn’t get back to me so I called again, and was told that they needed photos of my card. I told them I had already sent them in. They told me they would get back to me. This is like with 40 minutes to spare before my appointment. It turns out they did accept my insurance, but I still missed my appointment because they couldn’t communicate that to me. Just definitely a waste of time.
I never write bad reviews but I want women to beware what they’re getting into. Not sure why zocdoc reviews are so high because this place is a mess. Long wait times in the office with an appointment, lab results that don’t come for weeks (have NEVER experienced this anywhere else), and clueless front desk staff. I called asking to speak with a physician after an appointment last week as I was experiencing pain and was left on and off hold for 20+ minutes. I stayed on the line thinking I would be able to speak with a physician just for the physician to relay information via the person at the front desk who is NOT a medical professional and should not be speaking to me about lab results or prescriptions but the physician couldn’t take 2 minutes to speak with me. These people do not care about you or your situation. All they want is to get patients in and out the door. Do yourself a favor and find an OBGYN that is caring, consistent, and timely. Won’t be back.
Very nice staff but communication here is terrible!!! My results took about a month to be uploaded onto my profile even though my results came in less than a week after my appointment and when I tried to contact the office it’s very difficult to get ahold of anyone! Communication is a 0.
If you want to play one-sided phone tag and be hung up multiple times, this place is for you. I have been waiting over a month for my results, and STILL waiting but they made sure to bill me. One of the worst medical office experience!
I’ve never written a review of a doctors office before (let alone a bad review in general!) but i’ve been going to garden for 5 years and the service and care has gotten progressively worse. you’re just a number here and clearly they have too many patients to give anyone the attention they deserve - they don’t care about your wellbeing in the slightest. it took them 7 weeks to call me about an abnormal lab result, when I had already concluded it from the lab results myself 3 days after my visit. it’s impossible to get a hold of anyone at the office (i’ve waited on hold for 2 hours many times). you see a different PA every time, who doesn’t review your history before seeing you. i’ve had to retell my issues and history each visit, advising THEM to do certain things based on my prior experiences. waiting room time has increased to around 2 hours. it’s just been a terrible experience lately, and has become quite disheartening that doctors here don’t care at all about their patients. I hope I can find another provider that gives me what we all deserve from a doctor’s office.
After several positive experiences at Garden OBGYN, unfortunately my last experience was less than ideal. I received a survey after my visit and described my negative experience, and expected some sort of acknowledgment of the poor level of service but haven’t had a response to my complaint - the lack of follow up has led me to post a 1 star review. While the OBGYN doctor herself was professional (Arlene), the other staff seemed very inexperienced and I did not feel in good hands. I went in for my OBGYN appointment and the nurse tried to take my blood pressure with the band inside out. She tried to hold it in place herself as it inflated which would have resulted in an inaccurate reading. She took my urine and did a dipstick test but left the dipstick in the liquid for several minutes which is incorrect. She did not seem to know what she was doing. I changed for the ultrasound and she brought another nurse to check out the ‘broken’ machine who showed it was working fine - no acknowledgment that she had been doing it wrong. In the ultrasound room, the technician said I’d feel some pressure and then proceeded to push up the wrong hole! She apologized saying she couldn’t see as it was so dark? I’ve never experienced something like that before and she just continued as if nothing happened. Aside from the discomfort, that is not hygienic…As a patient you have to feel comfortable and that staff are professional when you’re having a doctor’s visit and I just wasn’t.
Deeply concerning and predatory practices here, stay away! Billing department is shady and will try to get you in to the office so you have to use them (for ivf blood monitoring) and then tell you after that they don’t accept specific insurance. Terrible communication between doctors (Trulock specifically) and nurses where they will evaluate someone for the wrong thing despite being told multiple times what the appointment is for. This is a sham of a company and needs to be reported to the business bureau.
I was at this place in 2021 and they misdiagnosed me and still charged me. Appointment that I made with a specialist was switched to PA last minute. I haven’t been at this place since that time and they keep calling me for annual check up. I made it clear I won’t come back and they still scheduled me for an appointment without my consent. When I called them and canceled 15 mins letter I got another call and when I told the girl I spoke with them already she just hung up on me. Their girls don’t have manners and super unprofessional. They don’t monitor who they call and randomly schedule appointments. Their PA and ultrasound girl from 2021 are not experienced at all.
This is the 4th time I call them in regards to my prescription that was “sent” to my pharmacy and my pharmacy never received it. 1st time, they said they now sent it and should be there in 10 minutes. Failed. 2nd time, they tell me in 15mins. Failed again. 3rd time, the lady said call my pharmacy in 2-3 hours and it’ll be there. Failed. This is all over a week of making phone calls, I give it an entire day for the prescription to arrive. Nothing. I’m now on the line for the FOURTH TIME with someone who placed me on hold for 15+ minutes.I’m pregnant with iron deficiency so this is even more ridiculous that they act like this.PS: She literally just left me on hold and never came back. Stay away from this nonsense.Update: Called for the FIFTH TIME & one of the call center care team member was able to give me the manager’s phone number, spoke to her directly and now the prescription was “sent”. We shall see… But at this point I’m so disappointed. That last rep we left me on hold, all you could hear was her dog barking nonstop until she just left me there hanging. They need to start recording these phone calls and audit them or is only going downhill from here.
Very thorough care; a lot of things are standard here that are not done elsewhere. They do a follow-up consult in a separate room at the end so you have a chance to ask questions in a more comfortable manner.
*DO NOT GO HERE* Booked a specific doctor after doing research. When I got there they offered me a man doctor even though I specified a women. I waited for over 45 minutes after my appointment time before being handed the iPad to check in. Waited another 30 to be let into a room.
I was pretty early 4 my appointment. That was no problem. They saw me anyway. Everything went smoothly. The staff is super friendly and so professional. I love Garden Ob/GYN!!!
Longest waiting line I had. Why do you have an appointment time if you just have to wait in line?[Edited] They also charged me an insanely high amount of test that I did not even know they did on me. Horrible service, avoid at any cost!!!!!
This practice should be avoided at all costs. I went a few years back and my issues then were: extremely long wait time, filthy waiting room, no real engagement. Doctor was nice enough but nothing exceptional of note. This time around I decided to give them another try, wait time was much shorter, waiting area still not clean, front desk and doctor staff were quite nice. However I did testing now 2 weeks ago and I know they have received the results. I have called 4 separate times to ask for my results or get a reset link to the portal as I can no longer access it and they simply tell me it will happen and then do not follow up. There is no active after care and based on other reviews, I’m just going to have retest with another doctor making it a waste of time when they do in fact have the information to share (and tried to just book me for another appointment while ignoring my questions).
The number of times this place has canceled my appointments is ridiculous. Nice staff but be prepared to not have a ob when you need it.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I visited this place on 2/17. The front desk was a disorganized mess and checking in was a wreck. My doctor and the assistant were nice but that’s honestly not enough. It’s now 24 days later and I still have not received my lab results. I have called several times. The first time they said they were having system issues that started on 2/14. They never advised me of this. Had I known, I would have never gone here. I was told that I would have an update by last week. Last week came and went, still no update. I called again this evening and was disconnected THREE SEPARATE TIMES by different patient care agents! This is quite literally the worst medical experience I’ve ever had. Do not come here!
First time writing a review because this experience was really upsetting and want to let others know what theyre getting into. I came in as a new patient for an annual physical which is covered by my insurance. I was told by the nurse and doctor that as part of their routine annual physicals for new patients, a pap smear, urine & blood tests, and a pelvic exam are necessary. I told them that I didnt need a blood & urine test bc I had already done it at a different place. I end up getting billed for this even though I never got one here. Also, they falsely communicated with me that a pelvic exam is part of the physical and ended up charging me $$$. I would have never gotten one if I did not know it was not covered by my insurance but they told me that it was routine. Like the other reviews, they overcharge and do not accurately communicate with patients. I also reached out about my results and they said a doctor will call me back to review and I never received a call. I also waited ~30min in between each session so I was there for 2-3 hours. Really upsetting experience and would not recommend this practice.
Update: I called the office today to ask them to follow up on my abnormal lab result. I explained the situation to them, they said they would immediately contact the provider to call me and explain as well as send the medication to the pharmacy. They never called back or even responded to the portal and medication was not sent to my pharmacy. This place is scary.I’ve never written a bad review of a doctors office, however I should’ve listened to the reviews recently written because I had a similar experience. 10 days after my exam they called me with an abnormal lab result but did not leave a call back number, I attempted to call back multiple times and no one got back to me. Finally I called and someone answered, I had to remind the provider to review my blood work otherwise I don’t think she would’ve. Fast forward, over a month after my exam they message me on my portal regarding an abnormal result. I’m not sure why it took over a month for this to be communicated to me since this test can be done in one day. They said they sent a medication to the pharmacy, I go to my pharmacy, nothing was sent. I have to call tomorrow and remind them AGAIN. I have never experienced care like this and poor communication. I have zero confidence in this place or the providers to provide health care to me since they can’t even communicate lab results. I almost wonder if they lost my tests and then found it again. I will not be returning.
This is a very unorganized chaotic practice. It was clear as day when I went in there that it was a cash factory and that they were just getting patients in and out. I should’ve known that it was not going to be a good experience when there was so much confusion around drawing my blood, and what test the doctor had ordered now we are almost 2 weeks out and I still don’t have the lab work results, it’s pretty concerning considering most practices can turn around lab results within 24 to 48 hours.I’m extremely disheartened by this experience.
Agree with other posts. They only care about money and not the patients. Made an appt 3 weeks ago and they called me two days before my appt to trying to send me to locations in Long Island. If your looking for real prenatal care please look elsewhere.
I am very unsatisfied with this clinic I been waiting for 3 weeks for results I been calling back to back for 2 weeks I been getting the run around different people telling me different things I been trying to get in contact with a at least a manager NOTHING ! I’ve literally called over 15x you would have thought I would have gotten a call back or something NOTHING clearly they don’t care about their pts ! Now I’m being rushed to the hospital THANKS FOR NOTHING
I have had a terrific experience here. The doctors and staff treat you with kindness & professionalism. Couldn’t recommend this enough!
I was seen by Sidney Boty and she was seriously the best. I usually hate annual visits and getting pap-smears done, but she was so knowledgable and kind that the whole process today was just way more comfortable than I’ve ever experienced before. I definitely recommend her! She’s awesome!
The staff is very friendly and nice…. Though they are about a hour away from me, I’d always consider coming back. Easy, gentle, and always considerate
Can’t get through to speak to anyone about my lab results. It’s been over two weeks and no update on my results. I am concerned at this point because the meds I was sent did not help. Also- Long wait time. Not going back here ever again! Had an appt at 6:15 pm and was called in at 7:10 pm. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.
Good service but wait times can be crazy sometimes. Staff is very courteous and nice. Doctors are great!
Wow. It’s incredible to see the reviews below describe nearly the same exact experience I had at this office. Complete scammers! I was there a year ago concerned about an infection. They informed me that my visit was covered by insurance on site. After I took my tests, they uploaded results saying everything came back clear. I distinctly remember being surprised cause I wasn’t feeling well and sent the results to my best friend, who’s a doctor. Several WEEKS later, I get a notification that new lab results were uploaded informing me I had an infection. NO CALL FROM THE DOCTOR! NO MEDICATION SENT TO THE PHARMACY! NOTHING! AND they BACKDATED THE RESULTS! Liars and scam artists. After that I received a bill in the mail for this visit that makes no sense…And now the office calls me every day to try to collect money. But no one seemed to care to call me when I was ill! Awful beyond words
Booked my appt thru zocdoc, which confirmed that doctor is in network. Then received an email that doctors office confirmed my appt! Now that Ive arrived I was told I dont have an appt and they dont even take my insurance at this location. I work at the medical office myself, I know how these things work. Fix your freaking zocdoc settings for all your location before you make pregnant women travel all over New York for nothing. Never saw the doctor but administrative part of the office sucks.
The staff was very pleasant and courteous. The Nurse Practitioner was amazing , polite and helpful during my examination. It was a wonderful first time visit and I would recommend to family/ friends.
While the nurses and staff are very nice, the place is horribly. People call you with wrong test results (I was told I was the third patient in three weeks to come in for a procedure they said I needed but did not.) You are unable to get in touch with doctors. It is messy. It is unprofessional. It is being careless with people’s health. Shame on this practice and the owners! I will not be returning and warn others against going.
I scheduled an appointment for 1pm. I was seen at 1:15 and then told I would be in an out quickly only to have to wait in the patient room for 2 hours. No one updated me, I had to walk out and ask multiple times and the update was there is still one patient in front of you. This place should not be scheduling appointments if its this backed up and patients are waiting for over 2 hours for their appointment. This isnt the ER, or a walk in, we are taking time out of our day for a set appointment we made for 1 hour, not 4 hours. Ridiculous and awful service.
I’m quite certain this place resorts to purchasing fake reviews. It’s hard to believe that despite the recent influx of 1-star reviews, it still maintains a 4.5-star rating with over 1.2K reviews. This is my second review, from a different account, to express my continued dissatisfaction. Just like my previous experience, I am finding myself waiting for over 45 minutes on a Sunday, despite my wife having an appointment and us showing up early. (We’re still waiting as I write this review). This recurring issue of tardiness clearly shows their lack of respect for your time, a sentiment that is further reflected in the uncaring attitude of the front desk staff. Interestingly, after my last review, I received an automated response within five minutes while we were still waiting, yet there was no real-life attention to my situation. For anyone seeking a reliable OB/GYN, I would advise steering clear of this place; it has been a consistent source of disappointment for me. Their approach to customer service and feedback management seems to lack sincerity and professionalism, which is crucial in any healthcare setting. Lets see if I get the same cookie cutter response to this again.
Update: still no contact a day later from a doctor or the office although they were prompt in replying to this review.Truly a horrible experience. I will say that once you’re in the appointment, it’s great. Although expect to wait in the waiting room for a while. And they have no follow up protocol or after care. I had an appointment last week and tried to call for a follow up question about care. I was told a provider would call me back, but never received a call back. So I scheduled an appointment for the next day. I was on my way to my appointment when they rescheduled the appointment for a different time without consulting me. The time didn’t work for me at all. So I called to try and reschedule it and was informed they were booked for the rest of the day. So I asked to have a provider call me and still haven’t heard a single thing.Additionally, when I called to have the appointment cancelled since they had no other availability, they rudely hung up on me.Overall, super unprofessional behavior even when I tried to work with them. Super disappointing. If you have an actual problem that might need follow up, I recommend trying a different place. For a quick annual exam, it’s fine.
Retraction, their service has become subpar- the great customer service that they once use to have is now pretty much: staff having an attitude over any little thing, getting hanged up on and never called back, call the manager multiple times to inquire about my prescription and never once received a call back. I called the office and spoke to the patient service - whatever it’s called more than 2x, to inquire about my prescription, the girl never took my information, never told the provider. Called back days later and another female doesn’t even know what I am talking about. Pretty much the provider wrote the script wrong and it needed to be sent again to the pharmacy.Ladies save your time and look for another provider that can provide efficient care and customer service, this place is no longer it.
This place is so disorganized. Well woman visit is fully covered under my insurance and they still tried to make me pay money saying I might have problems more than just a well visit. I am a doctor myself and I clearly told them I don’t have problems. They said I won’t have to pay money in that case. Later on, they sent me a bill and when I called, they said it’s co-pay for my labs. So, I paid. Later on, I get a collection notice from labcorp that payment is past due. I have been trying to contact the office and it keeps going to voicemail. I tried multiple times on different days and couldn’t get to talk to anyone. I also work at a hospital but I understand things might not always run smoothly but this is ridiculous.
Wonderful experience.. All staff were super nice and professional from the receptionist to the Dr. I wish I could remember everyones name but Samantha was awesome….
Tried a new office because the location is closer and more convenient. Big mistake. They don’t know how to bill insurance correctly and instead of having their billing department/staff call the insurance company and figure it out, they expect you to do it. No thank you…isn’t that what your billing department is for?I did like the doc though, but not enough to deal with the clueless staff.
This is the worst OBGYN clinic I’ve ever been to. Ignore the good reviews because there are also a lot of bad reviews. They mis-measured my ovaries, endometrium, and uterus. I ended up in the hospital the next day because of free fluid they said was “normal” in my pelvis. They measured my endometrial lining at 26mm when I got it remeasured at the hospital as 16mm. A huge mistake that even the nurse practitioner went to tell me was normal. Never coming back here again and if you want to spare your health then please don’t go here and find another clinic in the area.
I would not recommend Garden. Ive been going to the 67th street location for 4 years now and I dont know why I put up with it. I had an annual appt scheduled for this morning at 9am. I booked this a whole year ago when I had my last annual. Every day for the past 5 days, I received text messages from the office reminding me of my appt, time, and office location. This morning I travelled all the way downtown, had to take some time off work to do so, only to arrive to the office with locked doors. I knocked and nobody came. I called and was told by the representative that the office wouldnt open until 1pm today. Excellent waste of my time this morning! So glad they take my health seriously here!Ill note this is not the first strike made by the office. Two annuals ago, they told me I had abnormal cells and I had to pay to receive a $400 x-ray. The following year a totally different doctor checked me out (for a generous 3 seconds I will note) and told me with confidence I have no abnormal cells. And if someone told me I did, they made a mistake because those things dont just go away on their own.All this to say, Ill finally be looking for a new office that makes my health feel like a priority.
I have an emergency and need a specialist to prescribe me progesterone. Bleeding in early pregnancy. I went to the family doctor two days before I went to Garden OBGYN. The HCG test came out within half a day. It doubled good and the progesterone was low. The family doctor asked me to go to a specialist. The baby was still alive at the time. The ultrasound showed that the baby was fine. But there may be miscarriage. As a result, the lab sent by Garden, hcg and progesterone results have NEVER not come out for two weeks now. Like many comments, the lab results will never come out, which is too late. So I was not given any remedy for this. I was very desperate for a few days and went to another clinic. It was found that the fetus had stopped, but my lab two weeks ago had not come out yet.I suggest sending blood to other lab for testing. My family doctor gave me same test and got the results in half a day.
I had a fantastic experience with my gynecologist! The offices location was super convenient, and I really appreciated being able to book an appointment on the weekend when many other offices are closed. The doctor and the entire medical staff were absolutely amazing. They created a calming and comfortable atmosphere, which made my visit a pleasant one. Highly recommended!
I dont usually give bad reviews, but I felt that this was necessary. The people working with me at my first (and only) appointment were very kind. But, they do not give any follow-up care at all. My appointment was months ago and I asked multiple times for someone to explain my blood results to me, especially since one of them was marked in red, so I was extremely concerned and wanted some sort of explanation so I could understand what was going on. Instead, they told me someone would get back to me every single time I asked, and no one ever did. I had to resort to sending my blood results to my cousin whos a doctor (though this isnt his field) in order to know what was going on with my body. While the people working there are nice and kind people (at least from my experience), I dont recommend anyone coming here because you will get 0 answers, so its a waste of time and money.
Terrible experience, not a serious medical provider. Dr. Kim dismissed all complaints of pain and instead recommended vaginal rejuvenation to a young woman. Proceeded to charge me for procedures that never occurred and when I disagreed with the charges I was harrassed by phone calls demanding payment.
Great experience, very fast and thorough. Great office, clean and very colorful.
Felt very comfortable and relax with the Doctor.,Receptionist very friendly.Great environment.
I gave Garden multiple chances, and ended up having MULTIPLE negative experiences. This was a while ago, but now for the past two months theyve been calling me once a week to see if id like to get my yearly appt on the schedule. Every single time I tell them I am not interested and ask them to stop calling me, BUT THEY NEVER STOP! Starting to feel harrassed.
Doesn’t even deserve one star. Waited for almost 2 hours from appointment time (new patient for annual exam) including an hour in reception and another hour in the exam room once they took me back. Then proceeded to literally forget about me in the exam room after the nurses took down my vitals. The doctor never came after I checked in multiple times for an update. I walked out without seeing the doctor Completely incompetent staff!!! NIGHTMARE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Absolute scam artists. I had an annual visit for a birth control refill and 6 months later they said I needed to be seen again for an appointment and when the prescription was requested by my pharmacy they didn’t even call me to let me know, I had to call myself and see why they weren’t calling my prescription in. Now I’ll be without medication. Will never step foot in this practice again and will be finding a doctors office with more competent staff.
It’s been almost 2 weeks I still have not got my blood results back.I tried to call for several times but it never went through / voicebox full.It is very frustrating.
This office is literally a mess. It was a waste of time to even go there. I was waiting in the waiting room for over an hour was seen and it was completely disorganized. I have yet to get medication‘s that i need to be treated. I cannot reach the office at all whatsoever after multiple times. they messed up my prescription and don’t answer my calls to correct it. I reached out to the office and they sent a message to my provider and still have not gotten a response in over four days. If you need correct and medical care DO NOT GO HERE! I never leave reviews but this is so horrendous that i’m leaving his to protect anyone else from having this issue.
My wifes first appointment was canceled with less than 24 hours notice, which was particularly frustrating since we had traveled from out of state specifically for her appointment. Now, were at the rescheduled appointment and have been waiting for over an hour, only to be told that the doctor is backed up and the office is very busy today. This has been a terrible first patient experience. Its already challenging to make time for doctor appointments during a workday, and it feels like this office has no respect for our time.
Awful experience. IUD placement and I had never met the MD prior. Immediately after I passed out from pain and whilst passing out, the MD immediately left the room and never returned to check on me. No RN checked on me. Thank goodness I had my sister there to help me back on the table. I am a healthcare provider and 0/10 recommend this place. Stay away.
Please, do not go here. Their website reviews are only 5 stars, that should tell you what they do with their other reviews.I went here for 6 years. I know they remove bad reviews from their site, because they spam emailed me to leave a review after I finally decided to change my GYN. Then, after my review, they called me twice to talk about my review. All that trouble, and they removed my review, because they dont want YOU to know how horrible they are. When I first started going there, I had 1 doctor. Once, she left, everything went wrong. I had a different doctor each time I went, and because of that, it screwed up my insurance paying them out. That wasnt even the worst part of the. The worst part of it, was the doctors themselves, especially the old male doctor that installed my IUD. He was rough during insertion, he was rude, mean, nasty attitude. I had no idea it was going to be a male, all my other visits were with female doctors. Besides feeling uncomfortable emotionally because there was an old male there, his attitude and workmanship made it so much worse.Ive now found this amazing GYN. She is so gentle with her pap smear test, I cant believe I thought the roughness by the docs at garden obgyn was how it was supposed to be.Please dont go here, please, find another doctor. Now that Ive changed doctors, its been over a year, and their office still calls me to let me know Im due for my annual. I tell them Ive changed my doctor each time, and these last two calls I asked them to please stop calling me, please mark it in my file that Ive moved on.This place is chaos. No organization to any piece of their company.Ive now blocked their number. I wish I did a year ago, but, I didnt know theyd be coming around like a clingy ex.
*Review update- funny how they responded to my review but their office wouldn’t respond to any of my calls or emails to clarify my bill. They’re only trying to save face. Don’t fall for what appears to seem like good customer service because your actual experience will cost you a lot of money. Not a good clinic! My second time here in two years. I am a generally young and healthy person, one partner and overall very cautious and safe. I went for an annual exam and told the assistant and the person doing my exam that I was only there for an annual exam and I didn’t want any additional tests that wouldn’t be covered by my insurance. And guess what! They charged me for a bunch of exams that are not part of the annual exam! I tried calling the clinic and emailing them multiple times to ask why I was being tested and charged for these things with absolutely no response back. I ended up paying approximately $200 extra for tests that I didn’t ask for! At first I thought this was a fluke and decided to go back a second time but this happened two years in a row!Don’t be fooled by their nice staff and modern offices. They are just money hungry doctors.
I barely ever write a bad Google review but this time I just could not handle it anymore. I am always about the justice in anything. So, here we go.I found this place online because I needed to have my annual checkup and there are not a lot of places that work with my insurance. I called them, scheduled my appointment. It was hard to do because I had to schedule it on my work day. So, I asked for 3 hours off work on that day, came early, filled out all paperwork and was patiently waiting for my turn. 2,5 hours later when I was about to leave they called my name. I had to reschedule it because I had to return back to work. Rescheduling was okay. I returned in a week on my day off. I had to spend another 2 hours waiting to be seen by the doctor (what a waste of time!!!). I confirmed again at the front desk that my insurance covers the visit and the exam. The doctor was nice, the exam went well. They told me that I am all set and I can go after the exam was over. I went home thinking that my torture is over and I can relax now. The doctor didn’t find anything weird or bad and I guessed there was nothing bad in my tests either cause I would receive a phone call.A few months later I received a bunch of mail from the clinic! There was a bill of $200 that I had to pay for. It was for the visit BUT they told me that my insurance covers everything. And, they started calling me 3-4 times a day while I was at work threatening me to send me to collectors. I was shocked! I went to the clinic on my day off to pay that bill. After I payed it in cash and received my receipt, they told me that everything is good and I payed fully for my visit. A week later I got 2 MORE BILLS from the same clinic. One was $250 and one was $30. It says that my payment is overdue and that this is a collectors notice. I’m shocked! I’m extremely irritated now! And nobody picks up the phone when you try to call them on their business hours. I live far, I can’t travel there every day or take off my working hours because I am not getting payed for those hours.WHY do I need to pay for this?! What are those bills?! When will you stop threatening me with your collectors and stop sending me a bunch of mail that I was told that I ALREADY FULLY PAYED FOR?!
I booked on ZocDoc in very early 2021. Appointment was unremarkable. A year later they were no longer were in network with the insurance I had at the time (according to ZocDoc) so I booked elsewhere, no big deal.2.5 years after the appointment they still will not leave me alone with “you are due for an appointment” reminders - texts, emails, and phone calls. These come random months of the year. I have “unsubscribed” to the automated messages more times than I can count and replied to the non-automated ones asking them to stop contacting me. I have asked no less than 4 receptionists who have called me on the phone to permanently remove me from their patient lists and they always say they will and nothing changes. It is relentless and ridiculously unprofessional for a medical office of all places.
Very good experience. Very nice clean environment. I loved the customer services, Providers approach and felt like I was in a family environment even though I was a new patient. First experience will say a lot and I received the best service. Thank you so much for your hospitality and your welcoming arrival and discharge
I don’t usually do reviews but this time, I do see it very necessary. I had an appointment which I went 30 minutes earlier ( I had 2 hours in my end that I thought it should be enough) I had to do bloodwork and ultrasound. When I checked in they took me after 15 minutes which is great, I get send to the room I provide the referral what I had to do( The nurse barely sees it, she tried 3 times to check my blood pressure and fails.Apparently I had a very high blood pressure and she just disappeared.I waited 45 minutes in the room, Nurse never showed up. I walked outside in the hallway with the rope on since I was waiting for the ultrasound scan. Again they didn’t take me serious at all. Until one of the doctors approaches and takes me to the room for ultrasound scan ( yet no bloodwork was done)I go back to room, waiting for the bloodwork, had told them already that I had to leave by 4:45PM.They only took me serious when my blood pressure was 180 by 140.I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.Never felt like this before.I wish I never went to this place.First and last time.Next say I had to call for the results 8 times, the ladies behind the phone were hanging up on me.I was trying to give the fax number so they could at least send the results to my doctor. After being ignored, hanged up couple times.I got in touch with one of the nurses ( finally) She said that :’’Our system was down yesterday and we couldn’t retrieve report. The team is working on it. I will let you know when is done.’’Okay I got my results back after 24 hours, I did ask 2 times before I went if I’d able to to get the results of ultrasound same day, they kept saying yes.I have no words to describe what a bad experience I’ve had with East side 67th location.
I left the practice and now am being harassed by Garden OBGYN. A little over a year ago I moved across the country and Garden OBGYN even helped transfer my files to my new doctor in my new city. Then a few months later I received a call asking about a new appointment to which I said I’m no longer a patient and I don’t live in NYC - I was told I would be removed from their list. I’ve been called 8 more times - 4 times this month - 1/10, 1/15, 1/18, and 1/29 - every time I beg to be taken off and told I will be but I keep getting calls. I sent a virtual message on 1/18 asking to be removed and it went unread. Some of these calls are before 7am my local time. I don’t know what to do, something is wrong with their system maybe posting this will finally help.
It has been over two weeks and I have not gotten my results. This is ridiculous. The medication they sent me did not work and now I am worried. Last time I called, they said they were having issues with the lab. NEVER GOING BACK.
I went for my first visit at 5 weeks and informed them I was paying out of pocket. The receptionist determined I needed a ultrasound and even before I saw a doctor I was taken to the ultrasound lab where an ultrasound technician determined that she could not detect a heartbeat. I was then taken to a physicians assistant who explained that I needed to repeat the ultrasound in a week. First, heart beats are not detectable at 5 weeks. Why did they make me go through unnecessary stress by over treating me on this visit? I also booked to see an MD and was told there is no MD working that day. I was then taken to reception and told I need to pay $2500 for the scan and will have to pay another $2500 for the repeat scan in 1 week. I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Huge waste of money, was not fully informed or able to consent or understand why these tests were being done as I was not allowed to speak to an actual medical doctor. This office will OVER TREAT AND OVER CHARGE. AVOID!!!
Update 2 everything was resolved ! They called me back and Naica was very helpful. Rough start but I guess I’ll go back again 😊UPDATE to my review. Been about a month and still no results. I have called, texted, left voicemails, and no response. No one ever answers the phone.Every number I see from other reviews saying the same this does not work either. Busy time or “ google number not available”Shorter wait than last time I went but still waited about 20 mins past my app time. Very clean. Nice and unique decor. Everyone was nice and was quick once we actually got started
Avoid at all costs. They treated my infection incorrectly which exacerbated my condition, then failed to call me and prescribe me the proper medication upon receiving the results of my exam. I was the one who figured out what was wrong, and after a day of emailing, texting, and calling multiple times, no physician cared enough to get back to me and prescribe the necessary medication. My situation became urgent as a result of reckless physicians at this office, and urgent care ended up being the ones to help me. Disgusting that patients are treated this way - do better.
This is my first Google review. I’ve been going here for for four years and while the late open hours are why I initially picked this OB, I have nothing positive to say after my last visit. After waiting an hour, both the concerns I raised that are treatable by OBGYN’s were dismissed as not their responsibility. I suppose my requests for visit were completely ignored when I submitted them. On top of this, they prescribed me a medicine that the pharmacist luckily asked about - I’m allergic. Considering they have had my records for years, this is extremely disturbing. I will not return.
Its been 2 years since my first and only visit with this practice for an annual - I have since switched to a different OBGYN, and I cannot be gladder. So while this multi-location practice seems to have every patient experience infrastructure under the sun: from text-based appointments to patient portal access to a post-visit survey on the spot, the lack of follow-ups regarding my results, next appointment and billing is where everything fell apart. The PA who saw me (even tho the appt was under a different person) was nice and efficient but ordered SO MANY TESTS that my insurance kept rejecting - OK fine, I did my part of asking for medical justification from Garden OBGYN to fight some of these claims but no one ever got back to me with actual help through the portal or their SMS platform -- and Ive bugged them tons. No one could even give me an itemized receipt for my bill despite someone from the practice telling me theyll get back to me AFTER I reached out to them. And for the most basic follow-up, there was no notification of my test results: good thing I had a Labcorp account and I checked there directly. I was supposed to have a sonogram scheduled to further explore my issue but no one helped me schedule that. Just no words were communicated about my care once I exited the door that day.Months later, I ended up paying my co-pay (a couple hundreds of $$) for all these tests and that scarred me from getting my annual the next year. I understand finding the right doctor for anything is always a rite of passage but the lack of accountability with Garden OBGYNs patient care and non-existent follow-ups are enough to turn me away indefinitely.
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE EVER!!I came with my wife to her appointment (November 16th - 2021) I left her at 6:10 pm at the front door, she got checked in and told to wait , after an HOUR they put her in a room without her clothes on and make her wait for another TWO hours , it’s already 8:59 pm , and she’s still in that room waiting for someone to check her!!!!I don’t usually do this kind of reviews , but this is unacceptable , come on!!! 3 hours !!!PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE EVER !I have asked couple of times , and they don’t say anything, horrible experience. Playing with peoples time
Excellent location, open on weekends, beautiful studio, friendly staff (Phenomenal lady at the desk helping me navigate all different portals to connect the dots of my medical history), addressed all my concerns.Only reason why it’s not a 5 is1. Length of waiting and total visit (1.5 hours+ total)2. Doctor felt super duper rushed in crazy hurry.
Was looking for an OBGYN closer to where I lived and was experiencing some health issues, so visited Garden OB/GYN in the UES 2 times and have a pretty bad experience. First visit was fine, but during the second visit (follow-up since I was still having issues) something clearly went wrong with the check-in process because there was confusion among the doctors/staff about where my charts were and I never received results for the tests I underwent - and there is no record of my visit in the patient portal. I also found the doctors bedside manner unpleasant in the second visit (was a different person than in the first vision). Ultimately, I went back to my former OBGYN and had the same tests / examinations done and they diagnosed the problem immediately and were shocked that Garden OB/GYN didnt see the issue. Wouldnt recommend going here for anything beyond a basic annual check-up, it just didnt feel like they were reliable.
Ive been going to Garden OB/GYN for years and have seen the service deteriorate this past year. Ive had lab work done twice this year. After the first time, it took 2.5 months of calling them for me to finally get a hold of someone to go over the results. In those 2.5 months, there was no delay in them sending me a bill. Last month, I had to go in again and only went back to Garden because I didnt have time to find a new place. The healthcare provider was not confident in answering my questions and was quick to give me a diagnosis without asking for information, symptoms, or tests. She also forgot to call in my prescription. Ive called twice to get my new lab results and was told to give it 10 days for someone to reach out to me. Its been almost 40 days now and I still havent heard from anyone. Im refusing to go through this for another 2.5 months like I did for the earlier results. They also changed their policy on birth control prescriptions and now only give rx for 6 months at a time. When Ive asked why the change, they told me thats our policy now. They want you to come in every 6 months for a birth control consultation. Why? Because women cant be trusted with their bodies for more than 6 months at a time? Theyre in the wrong state for regressive reproductive care. Fortunately, theres no shortage of ob/gyns in the city and Ive found a new place. I recommend others do the same.
This was my first time attending this office. The doctor I received was Dr. Casey -Ann Collins. She was very welcoming, professional and kind. She listened to what I had to say and made me feel comfortable by expressing what was happening without being dismissive (as I experienced before with other doctors). She walked me through every test I was going to take before I took them and clearly explained all results afterwards. Her bedside manners are excellent! She’s my new GYN now!
Overall I had a great experience with them. The office moved quickly and I felt like everything was very thorough. The one thing I didnt like was that there was a copay for an ultrasound in addition to the standard copay. Overall, very good experience and I felt like everybody was thorough and friendly
Sharing an experience from a visit on October 17th, 2023 with Dr. Wells-George. The ultrasound technician was fast paced insensitivite and hurtful to the point that I had to ask her to discontinue the ultrasound. I then saw Dr. Wells-George thereafter to review my results and she began speaking to me about a topic unrelated to the reason for my visit. I asked her if we could focus on the reason for my visit and she became more curt, rude and inappropriate speaking about topics that were not the focus of the visit. She never asked me anything related to the reason for my visit. As I sat there in a daze of confusion and asking her questions about what this has to do with the reason for my visit she became frustrated and continued to derail the conversation. Eventually, things became worse as she told me verbatim, “don’t look at me like that.” I then stated excuse me im not looking at you in any way. I am overwhelmed by the fact that I am here to address a specific medical issue and we keep discussing other topics. Then she said “ok what is that you want? Why are here today? I was so shocked I told her that she is inappropriate and not to speak to me in that manner. Dr. Wells-George then stated “well you weren’t very nice to my technician and she told me about you.” At that point I was so appalled I told her that she is unprofessional by using hearsay as her barometer for the care of a patient. As soon as I advocated for myself she got up from her desk abruptly and stated, “ok that’s it I’m getting a chaperone.” At that point I decide to leave the visit and ended up with zero care and my issue related to my health was never addressed. Dr. Wells-George even verbalized, “I don’t care if you give us a bad rating I already know your going to do that.”I felt compelled to share this experience and want to state that people of all races, creeds, needs and medical issue deserve care. Not based on a doctors preference, emotional defensive hearsay of staff, bias or anything that is not specific to the patients needs. If you are a woman who values her uterus, who respects her needs for gynecological care please do not begin or maintain your health and wellness journey with Garden OBGYN. The staff, the doctors and facility reflect extreme toxicity. Adding a photo from a patient who witnessed the entire outburst from Dr. Wells-George and the disrespect that I experienced. Thankfully she was kind enough to share another location with me for care as she saw me leaving the visit in tears. Your decision just sharing my experience. I will never return.
The front desk was helpful & professional. The NP who saw me was not, she couldn’t even remember the name of the medication she is going to proscribe, she didn’t even bother to explain things to me. Not good bedside manner. Poor communication. She sent me a medication that’s not cover by my insurance, I asked her to get me a different medication. She ended up told me sent it out to another pharmacy without even asking me if that’s pharmacy i use or not. Very poor service.
I had an attentive nurse and a great provider help me. I was treated well and my concerns did not fall on deaf ears. Felt safe and comfortable to explain my issues. I’d recommend them!
Update - though they leave a response to the review about reaching out to them, when you email or call, no one can be reached. Would appreciate if they actually sought ways to contact you. This is a review mainly about the organization of the office - not about the doctors and their team, who I do find wonderful. After reading so many bad experiences about billing from others, I do not look forward to dealing with them, and quite frankly do not find this common negative experience from others surprising. My appointment for an womens annual physical was scheduled at 5:45pm on a weeknight. Prior to my appointment, I completed all necessary documents online and submitted them. Once I got to there, I waited for 1h30mins to be seen. When I followed up with the receptionists in around 30 minute intervals, I was always told youre next - only to NOT be next. Not sure how the office is doing the scheduling, but a 1h30min wait is ridiculous. They should stop scheduling so many people all at once they cannot handle this many people at once. I had plans at 7:45pm that I ended up being late to, because in no way did I expect to wait for more than 30 minutes. Will write back when any bills are received and in my experience, that can even take up to 4 months to come. Terrible, which I hate to say because I have had great experiences with the doctors, but absolutely dread the rest of my visit having to deal with the front desk and billing offices.
This is a terrible office. Every single time I come in for my routine 6 month visit, I have to wait over an hour to be seen. I think they double and triple book their appointment times. Today was my most recent visit — my appointment was at 5:15 and I arrived at 5:05. At 6:40 I still hadn’t been seen so I asked for an update. They told me there were still 2 people ahead of me so the approximate wait would be another 40 minutes. I couldn’t keep waiting; I had to cancel my appointment and just walk out. I’ve been a patient for years so I remained here out of convenience since they have my history. But I’ve had enough.
Irresponsible practice that missed a pre-cancerous diagnosis due to cancelling my annual exam labs and NEVER reaching out to me to reschedule. I had to have my annual exam performed TWICE due to the negligence of this practice. On top of that, they will call you 100 times to schedule your annual exam BUT DONT PROCESS THE LABS. This is a money grab, go somewhere else.
Terrible experience they are keep sending myprescription to WRONG location, I went for the appointment on Friday and I still could not get my pills till today which is Sunday. I called at least 3 times to make sure they send out the prescription to right location. What does the reception do? chatting with other staff?so unfriendly and NOT helpful. DO your work please
The entire staff was friendly it was my first visit and it will not be my last. It was clean fast and efficient.
Very easy to find. Clean and nice place. Plenty of space to sit. Great reception. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Very gentle with any treatments. Ask detailed questions. They have online personal records for you to check your results, easy and helpful to use. Have referral for further assistance if needed.
Let me start by saying the front of house is great and have been very accommodating to try and solve problems. Appointments are easy and usually on time.My wife is newly pregnant and we requested a physician only for her OB appointments. None of their sites currently offer physician only appointments (aside from specialty on weekends). Youre only able to see a mid-level. Apparently there is a physician on site, but not available for individual appointments. For some people thats fine, but to not have a phyisican even available for appointments is insane. We switched practices to another location with physicians available.Just know that you will probably see a non physician provider if you go (again no problems with it, but if you dont prefer that the practice doesnt readily make it known) in fact all my wifes appointments were listed under Dr. So and so but on the actual day only seen by a PA or NP.
Ive always had pleasant experiences with staff, but the scheduling is HORRENDOUS. I went in for a scheduled annual and had to wait over an hour past my appointment time before I could go back. On a more recent occasion I was scheduled for an appointment at 7:15 am, and I confirmed multiple times that the appointment was at this time. I show up only for the office to be locked and no lights on. Two other patients were also scheduled before 8, leaving us with no option but to wait outside in the cold until staff started to arrive. This was NOT the staffs fault, it is the fault of scheduling completely. After all of this, I finally check in with reception only to find out that the service I was scheduled for isnt available at that location. WHY WAS I SCHEDULED FOR A TIME SLOT THAT DOESNT EXIST AND FOR A SERVICE THAT CANT EVEN BE PERFORMED AT THE LOCATION. I made sure to specify the service when I made the appointment. It was a terrible experience. Like I said, staff is great, but the lack of coherence and attention in scheduling is flat out terrible. For this reason, I will be finding a new primary going forward.
So firstly the front desk and nurse assistants are magical. However, Dr Terrani bedside manner was unacceptable. I am unsure if it’s because of my race but he completely disregarded me, rushed through my exam, rushed through my concerns, and even rushed through my final meeting with him. His nursing assistant took care of me more than he did mind you it was my first visit. On top of that I originally wanted to see Dr. Culotta and my original appointment was cancelled. Then I had to reschedule without even meeting the doctor which I took a chance with. Also, the medication was prescribed by a doctor I didn’t even meet with. His name is Jeffrey Mazlin. I think it’s weird as a doctor you cannot prescribe medicine. It’s giving very much sketch. I will not be going back her being that my health was not taken into consideration. And what really blows my mind is on my way out seeing Dr Tarrani how he escort another patient who was of another race so effortlessly and assist her and not me and I’m a NEW PATIENT if anything you’d want to be kind and appreciate being that they’re new. My time waiting for the “doctor” being assisted by the staff and s assistants 10/10 the “doctor” DOUBLE ZERO.They also have a broken toilet seat that needs fixing 😔 and there was no paper towel to wipe your hands. I’m headed to NYU LANGONE HEALTH for my continued health and well being.Thank you for giving me an update on my health and catching it before it’s too late but if I were you ladies I would just have a back up just in case. Go elsewhere if you can afford to.
I’ve been coming to this office for a few years now and up until this year things were good.It took them two months to notify me about test results that I should have received in a week. No apologies or anything. The patient portal wasn’t even updated. Things went as far as someone telling me in their chat options that I just needed to go to urgent care if I had that many problems.I heard from billing faster than I heard from doctors about test results.
The Dr (cant remember his name i think he may have been arabic?) said i was going to have a miscarriage because they didnt see anything after going in twice for a scan. Even after i told them i knew the exact date of conception and i had a feeling i was just early. He disregarded and was very dismissive about what i said. Almost like he didnt care. He even told me: if you start having any bleeding this weekend call us. He was very adamant and almost guaranteed me because the shape of the sac.I went into a depression that weekend, i had already told my family, and my husband and i were so excited. This is our first baby so you can already imagine...The doctor told me to come back in a week and if they didnt see anything they were going to schedule a d&c. Can you imagine if i went and they took out my baby?I waited a week and instead i went to see my previous gyn. She did a scan and even asked why didnt i just to go to her to begin with. Due to her being a bit far out i decided to go to these people, but i knew why i had not gone back in the past... (i was a previous pt)She said theres nothing wrong youre just very early. I see a yolk sac, and it looks normal. Why would he say youre going to miscarry? Nonetheless she told me to come back in 10 days rather than every 3 days like these people were doing to collect my copays. Theres no point in going every 3 days its too soon.Went back 2 weeks later and there he/she was. Strong heart beat.3 months later and everything is going well.Im glad i didnt go back here. Not to mention the sonographers are a bunch of newbies. The only one who seem to care was kathy. Thank God i didnt listen to this doctor.
Would give 0 stars if I could. I have been (unfortunately) a patient here for 3 years and every big appointment with them has been like pulling teeth - biopsy results not being shared, no communication, losing my genetic test results, claiming my insurance wasnt valid for birth control, etc. etc. Every time I call I am bound to be hung up on at least twice, and the admin staff is incredibly rude. I can go on for days but I am officially done being a patient at Garden.
Wait time was minimal, beautiful, clean, organized location. The staff and doctors were so professional and welcoming. All of my questions were answered, I did not feel rushed and most importantly I felt heard. Thank you all at Garden OB/GYN.
I was a long time patient of this office, and now the office itself is awesome but this review is about the billing practices. As previously stated the office itself is fine, it’s clean, people are friendly, the staff is all very pleasant which makes me not wanting to go here anymore even worse.I have been a patient here for a few years and I never had a problem with the billing. I would pay my copay at the front and not think about it after my appointment, my insurance took care of everything. Now, my insurance didn’t change, but their billing did. I received a bill for a amount that I didn’t recognize so i immediately called my insurance. My insurance stated that I don’t owe that money. When I called the “billing agent” that worked with Garden she flat out told me that she would have to speak with my insurance as she has the amount that I owe and that’s that. I offered to email or fax my bill to her to clear things up but she was only interested in collecting what I didn’t owe. Finally my insurance was able to speak with this “billing agent” and she wasn’t even with the insurance department she was in collections!!! So whenever I tried to get my insurance figured out with her and she kept telling me she was with the insurance division it was a lie to get the money that I didn’t owe.I will NEVER be returning to this office, and I can’t believe that the agent lied to me about what her role was to get me to pay money that I didn’t owe. Oh, and I was threatened with having my bill sent to collections, a bill that I don’t owe. I suggest if you’re self pay, then go to this office. The people are amazing, but if you have insurance find someone else who won’t try to screw you over.
Amazing Staff from the front desk to the doctor and everyone else who took care of me. Great Comfortable experience. Def would reccommend.
Just coming out from my annual appointment, Im a new patient of theirs. Really great staff through and through, very pleasant, calm, understanding, and great listeners. Im so glad and relieved to find a great GYN team.
So my experience here was absolutely terrible.First - They spelled my last name wrong .Second- all they seem to care about was what wasn’t covered or is covered by my insurance the entire appointment.Third - don’t get me wrong the nurse was nice , and the supervisor seemed nice as well. How the provider ?! Very rude and didn’t have a great demeanor. I walked out !
Waiting for 2 hours for an annual. Office is crumbling. Made me pay $30 to come in to tell me to get more tests.
If I could give 0 stars I would. They changed my appointment time without notice or approval (9:30 to 9:45) . They call you, email you, text you nonstop to confirm your appointment and don’t update their system when you do. They ask you to check in through their system but make you go through the same process when you’re at the reception desk. The wait is over 1.5 hours and they never improve. They don’t care about patient quality of life at all. Dr Kim rushed me out because she was “busy”.0 stars, would not recommend.Have to update this review to add that the office charged my insurance for an office visit despite the fact that I never even saw the doctor …
The most frustrating experience: my pharmacy has been waiting for the provider’s approval to refill my medication for days and none at Garden OB/GYN took care of it. I have been calling them for 3 days straight hoping I could get my medication on time and none was able to help, the provider did not took the time to approve it and I don t have my medication yet. I will never come back. Little regard and respect for their patients and their health
I try to book my appointments early in order to avoid long wait times. I booked my appointment through text, which went very smoothly. I was seen almost immediately. The office looks very nice and clean, the staff are courteous and efficient. I didnt get the script I needed when I left, but that was immediately resolved when I texted.Doctor Kim was friendly, but the appointment felt somewhat rushed, which is fine, as long as Im there for just an annual exam. While I was in and out very quickly, that would not be desirable if anything serious or concerning were going on. Im fairly certain the appointments are spaced out only 15 minutes apart, which does not leave a lot of time for each patient.
I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but I’m hoping I can help someone else from getting in my situation. I’m sad to say all the poor reviews I read were true regarding their billing and I regret not listening to them. I went to this office in a moment of desperation as I was unable to see my regular doctor. She rushed through my visit and left me with no answers to my issue and suggested I go see a dermatologist. After my visit, I was surprised to receive lab bill for $250 that I owed even after insurance coverage due the independent lab they use for testing even though I was in network. I reached out for help and spoke to Garden OB/GYN about with this bill multiple times which only led me in circles and no resolution. They have not followed up with me after I’ve called and messaged multiple times on this issue. I would not recommend going here as a result of this experience.
Excellent staff from receptionist to Nurses practitioners and doctors. Extremely clean and well maintained. Usually in other OBGYN clinics you dont get to see the doctor one on one properly and discuss your matters, its rushed, but here the doctor gives you his full time and attention and to discuss at length.
Very good staff . There’s a wait but they always squeeze you in
Im writing regarding my 7/19 experience at the Lake Success location. Staff was wonderful, including nurses and surgery staff. My only complaint is that I was told I needed to be at the office at 9:00AM for a 10:30AM appointment. I had pre registered (as requested) and sat for 1 1/2 hours before the appointment. Understand the need to come a little early, but 1 1/2 hours was a bit much and a waste of time.
Quite busy but they do their best to see everyone on a timely matter. Staff is amicable and the facility is nice and clean.I saw Dr. Colleen, who was very friendly and a paid great attention to the things I had to say. Gives a thorough explanation of planning and care.EDIT: Medical Assistant drawing my blood seemed impatient and/or rushed. Got a call within the following week saying I need to come back to get more blood drawn because there was not enough for testing.
Got an early morning appointment, waited 1 minute to be seen once I checked in. Aid helped to process vitals, she was courteous, sweet and efficient. I was seen by Michelle, a Physician Assistant, for an annual. Again, she was kind, great bedside manner, explained each step of her process. After the appointment, I was escorted to the office manager to assist with submitting a form with my insurance company. They made me feel like a priority as this was being processed during the appointment. All I had to do was provide clarification and had all my requests with insurance hashed out on the spot.Look forward to going again in 6 months (only required for first time patients).
The doctor I saw (The physicians assistant) was so pleasant, I would like to see her every single time. But I found the office environment itself so hard to be in: its freezing, you have to wait for a significant amount of time even if you fill your paperwork in ahead of time, and the TV is always playing anxiety-inducing shows in the waiting room... That being said, Ill continue to come just because I like the doctors here, but I wish the office itself were a little calmer...
Wouldn’t recommend at all. I chose it because it had good reviews on Zoc Doc and google but I’m sure it was paid. I was waiting for 2 hours before anyone saw me. They got my name wrong many times at the front desk. I was in the examination room for an hour in the gown and it was cold. Their toilets were running and didn’t flush and the sink water pressure was super weak. When peeing in the urine cup they had me walk in the rr by where the patients waited in my gown with my backside exposed. When doing the urine test they did it in front of me and dropped some urine on the counter and cleaned did with a napkin (didn’t sanitize). In total my appt was at 12:15 and I left at 3:40pm.
I am shocked to see all these 5 star reviews, please go to Yelp and see the many 1 star reviews before booking an appointment with Garden OBGYN. Many of these Google reviews are from them handing you an iPad at the end of your visit.- It is impossible to get ahold of anyone via phone because all calls are routed to their call center with very long wait times.- They recently changed their policy for “contraceptive appointments” requiring an appointment every 6 months if you want a refill on birth control. This is clearly a ploy for more money and not medically necessary by anyone’s standards.- As other reviews have mentioned, they are consistently overbooked and in my 5 years as a patient I don’t think I’ve ever been seen by the doctor.- FYI it is their standard procedure to administer a pregnancy test to all patients at their annual checkup. I only learned this when I received a bill for said pregnancy test (which my insurance didn’t cover) - no one at my appointment mentioned the test was done or the results of it.- They never bill my insurance correctly. Every year I have to call multiple times (see above comment about not being able to reach anyone) to get my appointment or lab work coded right.Thankfully I recently moved, which was the motivation I needed to finally find a new doctor after years of frustrating experiences with Garden OBGYN. Good riddance!
Worst, most violating experience I’ve ever had with a gynecologist. I cried afterwards.
I don’t usually give bad reviews but I second some of the other negative reviews of the more recent conditions on here and yelp.I waited more than an hour from my appointment time to be seen. They put the wrong reason for appointment on my chart and I waited another half hour after being admitted
This place is odd. I had a couple good experiences there, but the last few times I went I was waiting over an hour in the waiting room, they left my urine sample in the bathroom while multiple people were in and out using it, and I was always charged mystery $20 charges after the fact. They just called me to tell me I was due for my annual visit, and when I told them I switched providers they just hung up and didnt say anything. This place is unprofessional, I wouldnt recommend it.
Horrible experience ever!I had visited yesterday around 5:07 and my appointment time was 5:30. They took me for the check up around 6:15. I had booked my appointment for Dr Sonia but there was another doc altogether for the checkup. They tested me for lot of things so today when I called them for my reports after holding the call for like 20 minutes, they said they take around 2-3 working days to just upload the test result once done. The results of the blood tests done will take 6-7 working days. The lady who attended me over the call was rude and she had absolutely no idea about the portal and when I told her that most hospitals upload the results on the portal once done, she said try calling tomorrow. Talking to her was a nightmare.Good luck if you are even thinking of visiting there!Modified: I wrote a bad review and they called me and said they have uploadedALL my reports so that I go and change my review. They didnt really care about anything else. Even then, only HALF of my reports were uploaded.Later I visited another doc and she wanted to know what went wrong and so she asked for my reports and she was shocked to see so many tests done on me. She said apart from one, nothing else was needed. The bill for that visit came out to be $750 out of pocket. This visit was not only heavy on my pocket but I felt the doctor even spoiled my case. He was absolutely clueless.
Amazing place , a little bit of a wait. Staff was so nice , don’t know what the bad reviews are about
Terrible office. Dr. Trulock is a mess. Specifics: Answering service that makes appointments gives out misinformation. Waited 45 past appt time to be seen by doctor. Explained to answering service, front desk, and doctor that I was coming for IVF monitoring which requires some specialty ultrasound and same day blood work on a strict schedule (thousands of dollars of out of pocket costs for meds and procedure depend on it)- answering service and front desk confirmed it was possible. the doctor said they couldn’t do the blood work but they could do the ultrasound. waited 20 more min only to have the PA mid ultrasound say that my annual was fine. the doctor didn’t tell her that i was there for an IVF ultrasound, after i’d been waiting in the office for over an hour. billing dept is also a mess. they called 515 the night before the appt to leave a voicemail that they were wrong and don’t take the insurance. i called back at 521 to find out what the self pay costs would be and the front desk told me the billing dept leaves at 5 and there’s no way to find out… when my appt was the next day with no way to find out before i arrive in the morning. dr trulock sucks. seems like they’re just trying to gouge patients. should have known when other patients the waiting room were arguing with the front desk.
Ive been going to this place for over a year and the service is lacking. Ive recently had labs completed and I havent received a phone call to explain, despite multiple messages to the office. Do not try to get any of the front staff on the phone because they do not answer. I feel like they do not review your chart prior to your appt, which is horrible because most of the time you see different people. In all, as a patient my care is not taken seriously. I am now in the market for a new provider.
Service with Dr. Trulock is great but he has left Garden OB/GYN so God knows where he works now. Front desk and billing is a nightmare. Got a text message in the middle of the night (2 am) saying I have an outstanding balance 2 months after my last appt, saying I owe $736 (self pay). The appt cost $705 and I actually only owed $31 for a urine test. Online the system would only let me pay the full amount of $736. Spoke to three people on the phone for 20 mins to sort it out, their IT system is a mess. Get it fixed. Now.
From the moment I checked in, I was greeted and taken care of by the front desk people. I didn’t wait too long to get my appointment started either. The bedside manner was great and the doctor made sure I had all the right tests needed to do for my situation. I highly recommend this clinic!
The staff is so professional, friendly and welcoming. This was my first appt at a GYN ever and I was super scared. They never made me feel uncomfortable during the whole process. They were informative about the entire process start to finish and eased my fears. Definitely a positive experience!
I was their patient for over 15 years and have used several of their locations, in Manhattan, Queens and Long Island. The practice has really declined in customer service in the past 5 years. Each time I visited the office, there would always be a wait and it would be quite significant, atleast 30 mins to 1 hour from appointment time. It was always very difficult to make an appointment with a DR, only the PAs were available, and you would see a different PA each time. When I tried to change providers they made it really difficult to get my records and I never ended up being able to get them sent to the new Doctor’s office. There were multiple occasions where I was charged more than my insurance required and it took multiple calls and several weeks to get this refunded. There was also an incident where a sono tech was texting on their phone throughout my appointment, while I was in the room being examined. The last straw was when I was given some very unfortunate news by Dr. McLean. While she was delivering the unfortunate news, which she made light of, she thought it was appropriate to make a Covid related joke. So happy that I am no longer a patient and decided to move to another practice for my pregnancy.
I visited this clinic on 04/01/2022 to do my first annual Pap smear, I thought everything went well until I received a bill for a sonogram. I was under the impression that all that was done during my ANNUAL PHYSICAL Which I mentioned several times it was my first time- they took advantage of my lack of knowledge and did an examination which I figured was part of the annual exam and sent me a bill for 400- it was originally 378 but it somehow continues to increase??? Anyways I spoke with my insurance and they agreed this needed to be removed from my account given 1. The doctor did not inform me 2. I was unaware of such fees and thought all that was done was part of my annual. I followed up with multiple representatives who work for garden obgyn and every time I reached out there’s a different story. Now they are claiming they did blood work on me, they did not. I did a physical prior to going to my OBGYN appointment which I told the woman who completed my Pap smear, so now the story is apparently they drew blood from me? I want to see these “ blood work results “ that they so called drew from me because I am 110% they did not.I have yet to hear from Kathy, I have left them several voice mails and tried to get this resolved with my insurance which they have told me several times that this clinic has not gotten back to them regarding my case. They will scam you if you are not knowledgeable and the excuse will be “ you can decline your services “ so use this for future if you ever go and it is your first time receiving one, because apparently I am a doctor and know what is and what isn’t part of an annual Pap smear.i will never return to this clinic and I will not pay this wrongful surprise bill in which not one person from the billing department has made an effort to assist me with my concerns.
Ive been going to Garden Ob Gyn for years and never had issues. They are professional and very throughly.
I find it really disappointing when a medical experience is overshadowed by the billing staff. I made a same day new patient appointment over genuine medical concerns I felt to be urgent. During my check in, there were discrepancies between their understanding of my insurances. The front desk allowed me to speak with the billers who informed me I would not be seen unless I paid the copay upfront, even though I should not have been charged in the first place. I asked them to bill me if the insurance didn’t clear it and that was not an option. The billers told me to cancel my appointment instead. What if I was a patient who did not have the money to pay? You’re telling me a $25 copay discrepancy is worth sending a patient away? I might’ve just paid it if they’re attitude wasn’t so dismissive but once I realized they valued the payment more than my concerns, I knew it wasn’t the office for me. These large medical chains sure are experts in dehumanizing patients.Shoutout to their front desk staff member who was incredibly helpful and empathetic about the situation. She is a star.
Front desk Staff was very professional. I was seen promptly. The Nursing practitioner was very informative and shared information regarding the medication I am presently taking and we discussed alternatives which are safer for my health.
Don’t recommend this place at all. The level of care here is close to nonexistent. They’re more focused on collecting payments than taking care of their patients needs. The woman in the billing department Susan Harowitz is also very rude. Paying a deductible for a 5 minute office visit is already frustrating. Donot need the unnecessary attitude.
Their billing department is completely corrupted. They charged me lots of copay and in advance and yet did not pay the labs. Till this day I am receiving co payment bills from those labs. As soon I found out, I left this practice. Only positive thing about this practice is the nurse, tech or phlebotomist are attentive and nice. The doctors do not seem to be caring, attentive or compassionate at all. I saw Torres and Kim both were pretty same. The manager is all about business and money not treatment and patient care. Past forward I had to come back to this place to ask for my first Ultra sound report ( for maternity leave from work) which took me a week and half to get. I Was under their care from August to early November. this whole time according to them my Due date was 4/8/22. However when I noticed different date on report which is 4/17/22 I asked them if they could change it correct date. The manager carmen told me that it was based on measurement. I explained her how this effects my maternity leave to postpone almost 10 days. She then replied well you are under another practice so ask them do a u/s for you and give you a correct date. This is ridiculous that any medical practice can be this useless and selfish. If I could I would give them 0 star.
Staff is friendly, wait time a little long, it took almost an hour to even check-in but theres only one receptionist so its to be expected. I hardly leave reviews, but the 1 star feels appropriate as the facility is not wheelchair accessible which violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. The building to the facility itself has a ramp, but does not lead directly to the entrance of the doctors office. When I asked if my disabled partner can be allowed entrance through the backdoor to which the ramp leads, I was told no as they would not move aside the refridgerator that blocked the door off (the area the entrance leads to is their break room). I have reported the facility to the DOJ because all health care facilities are legally required to have a ramp. This one does technically, but not a usable one.**editGiving an extra star because the receptionist Corsina tried to make it right by giving me the information to a Garden OB/GYN branch that is wheelchair accessible on 7 W 51st (but she wouldnt have had to do that if the facility just followed the law).
First time at this location, although it was a wait to get seen as most doctors offices usually are, once I was attended for the Doc was super nice and informative! She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of properly! I had a great visit and would go out of my way to see the same obgyn again.
Ive visited this office a few times during my pregnancy and the office is always so clean. I wait a couple minutes after my arrival to be seen and everything is always smooth. The best part about this location is the ultrasound tech, Barbara! She is truly incredible at her job, super thorough and has the most calming and charismatic energy. Its always a pleasure to have her do my images!
I was so happy with my visit. everyone staff, ma, and my provider were so nice to me- no hesitations whatsoever in answering all my questions. never felt this comfortable visiting OB.
The office overall is very disorganized. Zero communication between the staff and patient. I’m always the one calling. I shouldn’t have call back 4 times to get something done. Never have I had so many issues with a doctors office before. Especially over a simple prescription. Mind you I was there recently. For me to get a new prescription I had to make another appointment. Oh and by the way ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS DONE during that last appointment. These people will milk your insurance for every last dime. Definitely not going back and definitely not recommending any of my patients here.Already got my prescription from somewhere else.
Im absolutely changing my review after a recent experience thats left me with a lack of confidence in this office. This is the 2nd time my labs have been completely messed up! Labs? How do you mess up something as important as pt labs? I really like and respect Dr. Mazlin and hes the only reason I came to this office after being a pt of his old location. Ive been a pt of his for about 10 years and its a shame the staff is careless. When and if this situation is resolved I will NOT be returning. I asked to speak with Dr. Mazlin or the owner and neither got back to me probably because they havent been notified.
I would give this place 0 stars if it was an option! Do not come here if you are pregnant! When I called for my wife they gave me the completely incorrect billing information over the phone. When we arrived for the appointment they tried to charge us almost triple ($300 original quote, increased to $880 then reduced to $680 after complaint). It turned out the test we had asked for was not even available. So not only were we misquoted, the service they were attempting to charge us for was not even available. If you want a calm and stress free way of confirming your and your baby’s health please stay away from this practice.
I love every single garden obgyn that I’ve been to so far (which are 3 different locations). The wait can be long despite the schedules but I kind of expect that with any medical appointments. But once I’m seen, I always have a great experience. I feel comfortable, my needs are met, and all questions answered.
Provider’s office rescheduled due to last minute unavailability from providers side. Gave an appointment for annual check up at 11:15am on a weekday. I arrived on time. Made to wait 45 minutes in the waiting room, then another 25 minutes after finally being taken into an exam room. No updates provided during the wait. Waiting room staff were apologetic afterwards. Huge waste of time during a work day.
This is the second time I go into the office and don’t receive any results. I went back in February, never received my results and was told that they lost my records and don’t have any documentation for my visit after doing multiple exams and being charged $350 by the lab. I had to go back to redo the same exams since I never received my results the first time around and have yet to hear back again. I have emailed them twice and have gotten no response and no update to my records. The doctors were very nice, but not worth it considering the lack of care with follow up and results. Truly a waste of time - now I need to find a new doctor and redo the tests a third time.
-Easy to get an appointment last minute but be prepared for medium/long wait times in the waiting room and once you are placed in a patient room-I went 4 times within a 4 week span and had a different doctor each time, I don’t even know the name of the third doctor since my appointment confirmation by email never changed to the correct doctors name-Long wait times when you call the office however the texting app Klara was good so I preferred to use that to communicate with the front desk/doctors-Front desk are friendly but always seem a little overwhelmed as the office is very busy-The doctors will take the time to answer your questions but you have to make sure you come with all of your questions ready to go as they don’t offer extra information. I left one appointment wishing I was given all my options/more information instead of immediately being scheduled for a surgery that I ending up not needing.-my primary doctor has a phone app. A suggestion is, It would be nice if they created an app for a more seamless experience to communicate with them, book appointments and check test resultsOverall I would come back if I still live in Manhattan as the location is convenient to where I live and the medical staff, front desk and doctors are knowledgeable and friendly.
Edit: (5/24) After more than 5 months and letters from our insurance to them to get a refund, nothing.Never again. The place was nice and clean. Sonographer was lovely but the overall experience was not so great. The wait for your turn to see someone is way too long. You have to set aside at least 2 hours for an appointment. Visit with doc was short because I had some complication which needed an ER visit. But everything felt transactional.Trying to get someone on the phone for billing/payment for insurance matters have been impossible. Called once earlier and after waiting for someone to pick up for 15 minutes, it hung up on me. Trying them again now and no one is picking up (has been 30min)Tried texting them via Klara.1st text: 3 Jan 2:14pmReply from Stephany at 4:01pm saying there was a glitch and if I still require assistance.2nd text: 3 Jan 4:08pm3rd text: 4 Jan 3:17pm4th text: 5 Jan 1:22pmNo reply. Will not recommend anyone to visit because I will not be revisiting in the future.
I had an appointment yesterday at 5:45 to take blood for an upcoming procedure. Karina Agard was the nurse who was supposed to take my blood. The first thing she does, which was a little shocking, was the other nurse was helping escort patients from the waiting room to bring them in. Karina screams my name from across the office, and doesn’t bother to walk over to the waiting room. I walk over to her and she goes “Gabrielle?” With a hint of attitude in her tone. I respond, “yes!” and she doesn’t respond, just turns and starts walking to the room in which they take blood. She says, “put your stuff down”, and I proceed to put it down on the red chair next to my seat. She goes, “No. Hang it over here.” and points to a small area where i guess i should have hung my jacket. I move my jacket over to the hook and proceed to wait for her, but all she does is stare at me, for at least one minute. I respond, “do you need me to move my bag as well?” VERY politely and she goes, “well i’m going to need to get to the computer SOMEHOW” with IMMENSE attitude. i was so shocked by this response I couldn’t help but almost chuckle. She then goes “What blood work do I have to do for you.”, with sass in her tone. I said “I have no idea” because I genuinely don’t even know what she meant by that question, nor why she made it seem like she was burdened with the task of doing her job. She goes “you are going to need to wait because now I need to ask a doctor” and I go “Well I’m going to have a procedure on Thursday.” and she responds with an AUDIBLE groan. I go “Does that answer your question?” she responds “ummmm.. YEAH.”I tell her “is it possible to see another nurse? I’m already anxious to take blood and eventually get a procedure and I don’t want to have this extra sass and attitude adding to my stress.” She then drops everything she was going to use to take my blood back into the cabinet, startling me, and goes, “fine but now you wait longer”. and continues to walk out on me, not giving me any sort of ETA, or any assistance.I cannot believe the level of disrespect and lack of professionalism. I am now frightened to do a procedure in an office that she is in because she does not have any competency, is extraordinary rude, and acted like she wanted the absolute worst of me.No one else I’ve ever dealt with at GARDEN has given me a reason to question the practice, everyone else is quite polite and professional.
I am a new patient and Im about to become a former patient. Its incredibly frustrating to text and not be able to get a response and to not be able to call the office directly my doctor and the health care staff are wonderful. I lost something at the office and can’t get through to anyone. I texted, which is the suggested method, nothing. I signed up for the portal and tried to message that way; but my doctor wasn’t listed nor I’d the location I went to. I called the main”corporate # three times and have been on hold three times for 15 minutes each, no one ever picks up
Im usually seen 20-40 minutes after my appointment time, but Im used to it now. The staff is always friendly, while smiling and apologizing for the wait time. Itd be nice if they didnt over book all time. Overall, its a clean facility, nice staff, and theyll work with you on a realistic payment plan.
The patient experience here is awful. First of all, I never saw the board certified doctor with whom I booked my appointment. I only saw a PA and a nurse and I booked my appointment for an annual check up and also to address an issue I was experiencing. Then I was told to come back for a follow up visit and again they were only planning on having me see a PA! So o complained and then I saw a doctor but it was never the doctor with whom I booked my appointment. Since I didn’t know her, I had no idea hat her credentials were or if she was board certified. The wait time at the clinic was also absurd. I waited more than 2.5 hours. Oh was the worst medical experience ever
I always feel I am in good hands at this office. The doctors are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. The staff works well together from the time you walk in the door. They are friendly and efficient. And most of the time they are able to accommodate a same day appointment. Thank you to all the staff. You should be applauded.
Dont go here if you want lab results. They take over a month to give lab results every time.
Im super done with this place. The 3 times Ive been for my appointment, Ive never been seen on time or even near on time. Ive sat for over an hour in a waiting room and watched other people who came after me get seen. An annual appointment took me over 2 hours. I also wasnt seen by the doctor I selected because she was on vacation. have a great patient portal but the mild convenience of that doesnt outweigh the frequency of not being seen in a timely manner. Wont be coming again.
I Love Everything About This OB\GYN. The Atmosphere, Interior Design & Staff Are All Welcoming & Makes You Feel Very Comfortable. I Will Definitely Be Returning & Recommend 100%.
I’ve been to the 67th street office a few times (for yearly and occasional extra visits). The office has always been clean. The staff of nurses and doctors have always made me feel at ease. Most importantly there was a women at reception, I think her name was Shelly or Shirley... she was working her butt off! It was a busy day and it seemed like she was training the other desk help. She was answering phones and patron questions and helping with training. This woman is a superstar. She is amazing and she deserves a raise!
I was incredibly pleased with my experience here. First and foremost, the staff are professional, courteous, and operate in a timely fashion. The facility and the environment were pristine and relaxing. They even had beautiful art work throughout. The doctor I saw directly was knowledgable and showed concern for my questions. Highly recommend this office. It embodies what the health care experience should be like!
UPDATE: 2 weeks later and I still havent heard from anyone, even after they replied to my review. Straight garbage.I saw Dr. Kim for a routine yearly examine in July. That visit went very well: no long wait, she was compassionate and thorough. Dr. Kim set me up to have a surgical consult that week and I saw the surgeon 2 days later. All fine. When I made the very tough decision to have surgery, I called to schedule. And called, and called, messaged, called, and called. I never got on reply or return phone call. Over a month later, still nothing. I don’t understand how you can walk a patient to this difficult path then just abandon her with no explanation. I won’t be coming back or recommending this office. Neither doctor is at fault at all. Dr. Kim is a wonderful practitioner.
The office is beautiful and clean. The staff is always friendly and professional. This was my first time meeting with Dr McLean and she was so sweet and caring. I don’t know of any woman who actually ‘enjoys’ going to the GYN but they make you so comfortable and the visit is so quick and easy, it’s not a bother at all.
I’ve been going to this location a few years. Idk if they are understaffed but I had an apt on June 28th for testing and it it now August 9th and I still don’t have results. I called them, they told me their testing area was closed lol. How is the testing area closed during the week? I was told ai would receive a call back and have yet to receive one.Very unprofessional to Just sweep my health under the rug. Will not be returning
