I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Kofinas Fertility. We had been seeing another fertility group in the city, but found it impossible to communicate with anyone with regards to our fertility plan or insurance/payments. When we switched over, we started seeing Dr. Jason Kofinas, and he gave us his email to personally communicate with him! His work up was very thorough and he stressed the importance of having a body that would be ready to accept the IVF treatment instead of rushing through things. His office staff were also extremely accommodating and kind throughout this whole process. I would 100% recommend him and his practice if I had to do it again.

This review is based on my experiences at the UWS and FiDi locations.I can’t say enough good things about Kofinas Fertility. From the front desk staff to the doctors and everyone in between they are truly wonderful. I was seen almost exclusively by Dr. Jason Kofinas. He is not only very good at what he does (maybe the best!) but he is committed and responsive as well. I also found him to be empathetic and caring when I had a setback. He is incredibly results driven and prides himself on his very competitive success rate. On the few occasions when I had to see other doctors they were all wonderful as well. Overall Dr. Kofinas strives for excellence in all areas and he holds a vast majority of his staff the the same standard.The nurses, phlebotomists, and other medical professionals were all friendly and talented. I truly felt like the nurses (especially Juany and Tierney) were invested in me and my family as well. I always felt supported and seen by them and actually kind of miss my visits with them.The front desk staff was always warm, friendly, patient and accommodating. Justine, who was often at the front desk went above and beyond the scope of her duties to help smooth a sometimes difficult and arduous journey.The affiliated surgical center is clean and modern. The customer service, patient care and bedside manner is just as good as in the doctor’s office. Not to mention the added convenience of having it all in the same building and the scheduling convenience of it being under the exclusive use and control of Kofinas Fertility.I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kofinas to anyone considering IVF. I’ve compared experiences with folks at other clinics and it seems to me no one out there is as thorough, thoughtful results driven and successful as Dr. Kofinas. I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else.
When I was diagnosed with fibroids and recommended to have surgery, I wanted to make sure that I found a doctor who was concerned with preserving my fertility. I went to see a doctor a Columbia and a doctor at NYU for opinions, both visits I felt like a number, visits were quick and I felt that I was being pushed out the door with more questions than answers. When I went to Kofinas fertility, I knew from the moment I stepped in the door that this was the place for me. The amazing Maria at the front desk, always has a smile on even at 6am in the morning and remembers patients names (no small feat!). Dr. George Kofinas took the time to sit with me and explain his plan for my surgery in great detail. He took extensive imaging and I was informed every step of the way. After having a successful fibroid surgery, I was encouraged to try and get pregnant naturally, even at my age of 39. After trying for a few months with no success, we went back to Kofinas Fertility where Dr. Brzechffa became our go-to doctor. I cant say enough great things about Dr. B. He is the most caring, sympathetic, kindest doctor I have ever met. (and I work for physicians!). During my course, I was also seen by Dr. Narine, Dr. Montes and Dr. C. - amazing doctors who always took the time to answer my never ending questions with patience. I never, ever felt that they didnt have my best interests in mind. Thanks to all of them I have 2 healthy, beautiful boys!!! If I could give Kofinas 10,000 stars, I would. When I first started the IVF journey three years ago I wish I had someone with experience that could tell me what to expect throughout the journey, and I am not even sure that I would then be prepared. But I can tell you what I wish someone told me, GO TO KOFINAS! At Kofinas you start with an automatic support system because every single Doctor, nurse, assistant and employee truly cares. Dr Kofinas never gives up on his patients and is always willing and able to tweak the protocol or approach to what you individually need for success. He is the best of the best. Dr Kofinas runs specialized tests that other offices wouldn’t even consider and has such an overall knowledge of fertility that you are confident that nothing is ever being missed or unaccounted for. He is a true expert in his field. He doesn’t just say he is your doctor and then push you off to an assistant. He IS your doctor and shows up to every single appointment, conducts all of the procedures and answered all of our crazy nervous anxious emails. I always joke that I believe Dr Kofinas wanted this baby for us just as much as we did. What other doctor makes their patients feel that way other than Dr K? I am so beyond grateful for our experience with Kofinas and I don’t think I could ever put into words how much I appreciate the team and the support they have shown us throughout the years. We began working with Dr. Levica Narine December 2020 in the midst of Covid. After our first cycle (it was successful), we returned to Dr. Narine June 2023 for our second cycle. Now I’m 6-months pregnant. My experience with Dr. Narine and her team has been incredibly positive. She replied to my emails and calls immediately. She truly got to know my case and recommended the best protocol for my situation. She and her team accommodated me when necessary due to work conflicts. I never doubted or questioned her protocol because I knew she always answered any and all questions. It was invaluable to have a senior doctor in the practice so attuned to my situation. IVF is a brutal journey filled with anxiety. However, every time I would see Dr. Narine she exuded calmness and would crack jokes to lighten the situation. She would also call me to check up on me after surgery. Although this is our last go around with Dr. Narine, I have recommended a few co-workers and others to Dr. Narine. I will be surely miss interacting with Dr. Narine.

Though I was still sad over my failed cycle elsewhere, I went ahead and called Kofinas to schedule my initial consultation. That was nearly a year ago. I am pleased to say I am nearing the end of my first trimester, thanks to Dr. Levica Narine and the AMAZING staff at the Kofinas Fertility Lower Manhattan location. From my consultation to my graduation at 11 weeks, my experience with Kofinas was top-notch. I never felt like a number.Dr. Narine took the time to review my case and investigate all issues. I highly recommend the Kofinas Fertility Group for anyone who needs any reproductive surgeries or help starting a family. I first went to Dr. Kofinas in 2022 after a miscarriage due to fibroids. Dr. Kofinas confidently presented a plan, sent me for iron infusions, MRI, biopsy, etc. just to make sure my body was ready for surgery and to make sure he knew all he could before removing the fibroids. No other doctor presented a plan that was as comprehensive and least invasive. When it was time to try for a baby again Dr. Kofinas team was confident, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. It is a busy practice but everyone knew me by name, picked up my calls, answered emails 24/7. Each patient is cared for with a total individualized plan and frequent monitoring gives the team opportunity to make changes that work for you. This office is spotless and efficient. I am now pregnant and while it is scary, the Kofinas team is comforting and compassionate. I have never experienced this kind of care and I am so grateful for the Kofinas team for not giving up on me and giving my husband and I this tremendous gift.
Dr. Jason Kofinas and his whole team is truly the gold standard of Fertility Clinics. I cant express enough how truly blessed I was to have been under his care. Dr. Jason Kofinas treated me as an individual case, found the root of my infertility issues, and then specialized my protocol to help me have the best chance of success. Coming from a different clinic before Kofinas Fertility, I know this is not always the case. At my first clinic I felt like another person on a conveyor belt with the same protocol as everyone else and no specialized care. He had me do an extensive amount of specialized testing and medically necessary treatments, to lead me to more and more answers and a successful transfer on my very first time! After a few procedures and tests, I was started on medication to stimulate ovulation, and by the second treatment cycle, in October 2021, I found out I was pregnant!Our daughter is now a happy and healthy 15-month-old and is our little ray of sunshine. We first met with Jason after feeling discouraged with our results at another clinic. I remember telling my husband that I came in a bit pushy and demanded a solution. Dr. JK delivered and I left feeling as if I had just met with one of the very best! I was impressed with Dr. JKs knowledge, awareness of recent research, and flexibility. I recall that he presented me with options, at this time related to endometriosis, but I never felt as if he was pressuring me one way or another. More impressively, he demonstrated the ability to form an immediate personal connection with both of us. Dr. JK exudes a sense of capability and level of expertise that is unmatched, yet he is also friendly, witty, and realistic, which we always appreciated during this long journey. Something that impressed us immensely was his accessibility. We saw Dr. JK at every morning monitoring appointment, had access to his personal email, and spoke with him directly when things did not go according to plan, even at 8 PM. He is willing to go back to the drawing board, hears your opinion, and treats each case uniquely. It is obvious that Dr. JKs passion is his patients and he goes out of his way to achieve success. We have never met a doctor as invested as Dr. JK. I will never forget when he said to us, There is no other option. This has to work. That is the essence of his dedication. She made our entire journey as comfortable as possible while keeping us informed the entire way, the customer service was exceptional and the care was unmatched. Wherever youre at in your fertility journey - I CANNOT recommend the Kofinas Fertility Group enough. I was right at the beginning of figuring out what having endometriosis meant and what my options were. I read a lot of books and visited many doctors in NYC - experiencing hopelessness quite often - and feel beyond blessed that I met Dr. Jason and his team.Dr. Jason is extremely knowledgable, kind, and genuinely felt his care and partnership in whatever scenario it was we were discussing. (We walked through A LOT of them, and was really impressed by the solutions he offered and his patience with me as I thought them all through). I had different experiences with other fertility clinics that often treat you like another body to get numbers up, so I was not only comforted but also extremely reassured by the technical expertise at Kofinas that spans decades now. (Im almost certain they were the first private fertility practice in the city, so thats major - you can tell the difference right away). Dr. J is also completely down to the earth, relatable, and funny, so he actually lessens the dread of daily visits that some treatments like egg freezing may require. I cant express how significant the quality of the doctors AND the environment (team, office, etc.) is to these highly sensitive health challenges. Every nurse was warm and quite good at their job, and rufus du sol and other not cheesy/enjoyable music even played in the waiting room. I felt entirely guided every step of the way.I didnt mean to write up an essay here, but I just wanted to share my experience from feeling lost to feeling incredibly supported and hopeful. I feel confident in the decisions I made and am very grateful for the success Ive had so far. Dr Jason Kofinas, his incredible team of nurses and facilities are the best you will find in the USA. The absolute professionalism, quality of standards and compassion his office work to is setting the bar for other fertility clinics globally. Dr Kofinas worked with me to get to the root cause of my fertility issues, solved those issues and mapped a plan for me to move forward successfully with IVF. Many clinics will do transfer after transfer hoping for the best, wasting precious embryos and putting your body through intense hormonal stress. Kofinas is not like that, he is big on finding answers and does the medically necessary treatments for you to reach a successful outcome. I found his staff so compassionate and caring, the team Kofinas has built is the highest caliber of A-players in the business. They genuinely care. The facilities that you will experience are as close to a 5 star hotel as a medical facility gets. I was an international patient so online communications and phone calls where important to me. The response time from everyone I dealt with was always prompt, accurate, reassuring and as always caring. I fully trust Dr Jason Kofinas, he listens, cares, is super smart, and an excellent surgeon, you couldn’t be in better hands with your fertility journey than with Dr Jason Kofinas.
Thanks to Dr Narine we just gave birth to a healthy baby boy after starting this emotional and often times stressful journey in 2022. If youre looking for a fertility doctor Id highly recommend seeing Dr Narine. (& if like me youre more comfortable with a woman Id recommend her at Kofinas) We went in thinking there was a very slim chance with all of my health issues/numbers but Dr Narine never made it feel like that. We will forever be grateful!
I am currently 27 weeks pregnant thanks to Kofinas Fertility and Dr. Jason Kofinas. The practice discovered my undiagnosed fertility issues and worked with me every step of the way.I love that they have their own surgical facilities so I’m not traveling to a hospital for every needed procedure and the care that they took for each surgery was exceptional. Dr. Kofinas responds to every question and email no matter the time and his team makes sure that you’re always taken care of.I am so glad that this practice was recommended to me. Fertility issues are so difficult and having a team that supports you and makes sure that they’re doing everything that they can to help is key. I will be returning to them when it’s time for my next pregnancy journey.
We are now almost 4 months pregnant and we are very grateful for all the help and support we received at Kofinas. We had the pleasure to work with Dr. Narine and she is amazing. After a few years of trying to get pregnant on our own and a poor experience with another fertility clinic where it seemed we were treated more as a number than as people, we switched to Kofinas (and are glad we did). After a few unsuccessful IUIs, we were able to get pregnant on our first IVF. Dr. Narine took the time to answer all of our questions (trust me, we asked a lot). She is very knowledgeable and the whole process was great. The whole staff from the front desk to the nurses and all the doctors we saw during the monitoring hours were very knowledgeable, kind, and friendly.
I can’t thank enough for Kofinas fertility group for making miracle happen for our family. We’ve been trying to conceive for 3 years and had no luck, so we decided to seek out for help at Kofinas. Since the beginning of our fertility journey, Dr. Harry and the staff have been so helpful. They were able to set up a very detailed plan (finding & curing diagnosis, taking all the necessary supplements, etc.) and after our first try of ivf, i was able to get pregnant and just gave a birth to a healthy 8.7lbs baby boy! Our experience at both locations (Brooklyn, lower Manhattan) were phenomenal - the Doctors and staff all have great bedside manners and are very respectful. Strongly recommend!
I would give 100 more stars if I could. The entire staff from receptionists to all the nurses especially Dr. George Kofinos and Dr. Brzechffa make you feel cared for and truly taken care of. These are not only state of the art, compassionate professionals but also real humans that truly care. The Kofinas group is my second family truly and although my journey is not over yet I know that I am in absolute best hands. I cannot recommend these doctors enough and many of my personal friends owe their children to them.
I can call myself a poster child for the Kofinas Fertility Group. I went into the facility when they were still in Methodist Hospital. I did have 2 failed IVF cycles, but I have two gorgeous daughters from Dr. George and Dr. B. Seeking IVF is a journey that no one can predict; even the best doctors on earth can be challenged by the reproductive system.But, I have to say Dr. Kofinas was able to find out the cause of our infertility issues and in working with his amazing brother Dr. Alexander Kofinas the OBGYN, helped us get our babies. Money is definitely not their goal but its a necessity to get the process done.I have been recommending this facility to all my friends and strangers alike. When I hear people say that they had so many rounds of IVF without a child, all I can say is that try the KOFINAS BROTHERS, OR how I call them THE BOYS. What I found is that you need you need to work hand in hand with DR. Alexander Kofinas(the ob-gyn) as well when you have complicated issues like I did.The best place ever!!! After many, many years of trying to have a baby (my husband and I/ college sweethearts, married for 25 years), thanks to this amazing, outstanding fertility clinic, we are finally holding our little miracle/ our now 10 month adorable baby girl! We thank God for Dr. Montes who never gave up on us even when we wanted to quit! She was extremely optimistic, caring, compassionate, and supportive even when our case seemed hopeless. Kofinas is absolutely the best fertility clinic I could have chose. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Narine and she was absolutely wonderful. From my first consultation Dr. Narine told me that we would make sure that I got pregnant and had a healthy baby. She told me the options that I had including IVF and IUI. I opted to try IUI first and she promptly set up my next visits and told me everything to expect. We ran into our first hiccup when my husband and I were told we carried the same genetic disorder. This was sad for us but Dr. Narine ensured us that IVF would now be our best option and she was super caring and understanding through this unfortunate news. I did 2 egg retrials with Dr.Narine since our first one we didnt get the results we were hoping for. The second retrieval went very well and we ended up with a lot of genetically normal, and now frozen embryos. For my transfer Dr. Narine was there every step of the way. From all my visits leading up the transfer, I felt like she was very hands on. She would adjust my medication accordingly and always check in on me to make sure I was okay mentally. We are so fortunate that all these steps with Dr. Narine led to my first transfer being a success. I am now through my first trimester and can not wait to have our baby. I will without a doubt be going back to Dr. Narine when we decide to have another baby!On another note the nursing staff at Kofinas is like none other!! They truly care about all the patients and always are checking in on you. Every visit I am always welcomed with warm smiles and greeted by my first name, which makes you feel like family instead of just another number. The nurses are also super communicative and responsive to emails and phone calls. Any time I had a random question about medication or an appointment, they always got back to me within hours, sometimes minutes. They always wrote all my insurrections out for me and never made me feel like I was being a bother with all my questions. I truly am so grateful for the nursing staff there.If you are considering any fertility clinic in NYC you would be making the best decision by choosing Kofinas. I’d first like to start off by saying this review is LONG overdue. My husband and I have been working towards having a baby with Kofinas Fertility since April of 2019. Needless to say, our journey has not been an easy one BUT what keeps us going is the commitment, patience, love and kindness that we receive from everyone on staff there. We couldn’t imagine doing this any place else. Dr. George Kofinas and the other doctors there are in a class all on their own. The nurses, Natalie, Christina and Paige (just to name a few), go above and beyond to make us feel important and heard during such an isolating and lonely process. The medical assistants Marika, Amber, Pam, Jyoti and Michelle (just to name a few), are amazing and provide support and encouragement at every visit. My husband and I are grateful for everyone’s hard work and persistence at Kofinas Fertility with helping us create our family.
The downtown office is beautiful and the staff is very friendly but two challenges arose that make it hard to give a glowing recommendation for Kofinas:1. Do your own homework regarding your insurance. I gave my insurance info to Kofinas and was told I was covered which was technically true. They just failed to mention that I was covered under my out-of-network benefits and so the costs were much higher than had I chosen to go with an in-network provider. Because bills dont typically arrive for several months after service dates, we were financially in deep before we realized this reality. :/2. Lots of testing, procedures, and surgeries. (Began in February and continued through the fall with fertility testing only, no treatments.)For most fertility practices, there are standard tests they will have you complete before you can be prescribed a treatment plan. However, the testing felt never-ending. Just when I thought I was done, another test was being recommended. This was physically, emotionally, and financially taxing.In hindsight, I wonder if some of the surgeries were really necessary or if they were more nice-to-have operations that we could have moved forward toward treatment options without doing.We ultimately switched to another fertility practice so that our insurance was covered. This was for the best.We had a wonderful experience with Genesis. No frills office but very happy with everything and would highly recommend them. They felt different in that while they did want to make sure tests were completed, they were quicker to get us to actual treatment than Kofinas was.
Dr. Jason Kofinas is the best doctor. He has great bedside manner, very patient, knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and made us feel heard. We are incredibly grateful to dr. Jason Kofinas and the whole staff. I highly recommend this place to anyone trying to get pregnant. Overall , great experience. I’m glad I found this doctor. Great nurses as well. We finally have our miracle baby! After two failures with another clinic who told me I would never have my own baby, I was referred to Kofinas by another specialist and never looked back. Dr. Jason Kofinas was honest and informative, keeping me updated on the latest research and my options. I truly felt that I was well cared for and that I was part of the process. (Not dismissed as I was by the other physician.) This is often a long process, you are in the offices often, and at times it can be heartbreaking. Every single team member - front desk, nurses, doctors, etc. - are not only incredibly kind and friendly, you feel that everyone is rooting for you. So grateful for them!
The staff at Kofinas are amazing. They treated us and our egg donor with such care and consideration while also being extremely communicative every step of the way. Very impressed with their services. Billing was not as smooth and we had some issues with timeliness and accuracy from that department, but that aspect did not taint the amazing overall care we received from the team at Kofinas. Highly recommend.
We had seen many fertility specialists who wouldnt take our case or treats us like a cookie-cutter case. Dr Jason Kofinas was the only person who took our case and left no stone unturned to find out why we were having trouble carrying to term. He took the time to locate and treat any issues BEFORE proceeding with a customized IVF regimen. He wanted to make sure that my body was ready and prepared for the IVF process. His team of nurses were always welcoming and helpful. We never felt like we were just another patient or another case. We always felt like everyone there really wanted us to be successful. They really wanted us to get pregnant and... now we are. I am expecting our daughter at the end of June. It is understandable to be hesitant with many specialists who say they can help; Dr Jason Kofinas means it! We are so lucky that we found him.
To me, Dr. Sullivan-Pyke is hands down the best fertility doctor in town and truly an amazing human being! She’s a miracle worker. I cannot recommend her, and the wonderful team at Kofinas enough. Dr. Sullivan-Pyke is super knowledgable, compassionate, warm and so funny! After an ectopic pregnancy that landed me in the hospital, I went to Kofinas since they have a clinic in Brooklyn, but I ended up having my intro with Dr. SP who is based out of the Manhattan (Broadway) location. I loved her instantly, so I chose to drive back and forth to the city, just to stay with her. I was able to do routine tests out of the Brooklyn location which made it all a lot easier. After trying and failing for years, I got pregnant with my now 3 month old, healthy baby boy through IVF. I still can’t believe it’s all real! Dr. SP was incredibly patient and handled my anxiety so well. She made me feel at ease, and made me laugh so much! And so did the wider staff! You need some light and laughter when you’re having fertility issues and she provides that on top of top quality medical care. The other doctors I met at Kofinas were also brilliant and the staff is so warm and sweet - they became family during a dark and difficult time in my life. Convenience is also where Kofinas excels. All the procedures take place at the surgery located a couple floors above Kofinas Broadway clinic! I cannot recommend Kofinas and Dr. Sullivan-Pyke enough!
I can only say great things about Kofinas Fertility Group. Doctors and Staff are extremely caring, very knowledgeable and true professionals. My experience has been nothing but outstanding, I am completely taken away by his expertise in the field of fertility and medicine. Doctors and Nurses always take the time to explain related medical terms and conditions. They are friendly, genuine and really make me feel like I am part of the family. I have done few procedures with at Kofinas Fertility and they were all done perfectly and as planned. Truly blessed to be in good hands with Dr. Kofinas and Kofinas Fertility team. They made my dreams come true.
This place sounds great if you can afford it and have out of network benefits. Very thorough and patient but billing is nearly impossible to get a hold of (we called 4 times throughout a month) and then we were told we were in fact, not covered for a large portion of services they offer. To waste a month at this stage of our lives is very disappointing.
After years of desperately trying to start a family unsuccessfully Dr George Kofinas was highly recommended to me and Im forever thankful! His team was very thorough in diagnosing and treating our exact infertility issue. From the office staff to the doctors and nurses everyone was very friendly, helpful and caring. I don’t even know where to begin when writing this review. I was so discouraged and frustrated when I walked into kofinas’ door after having a terrible and failing experience at another fertility clinic. Dr. B reassured me from day one that they would do everything in their power and that I WOULD have a baby. This process is not an easy one, but every single person at Kofinas helped to make it the smoothest and most enjoyable one. With the thorough explanations and examinations, to seeing a doctor at every single appointment, they exceeding my expectations beyond words. I recommend them to every single person I know who is struggling and cannot say enough amazing things about them. I travel from out east in Long Island to them because I know they truly care. I would give them 100 stars if I could. Thankfully to every single doctor, nurse, and staff member at Kofinas we now have a beautiful, healthy, perfect 9 month old baby boy and they made our dreams of becoming parents a reality. We owe them everything!

5 stars are truly not enough to describe how wonderful Kofinas Fertility Group is. I don’t know who to rave about more, the nurses or Dr. JK?! The staff being as wonderful as they are, is a direct reflection of Dr. Jason. Truly a place that makes you feel at home. From the wifi they provide for those of us that are catching up on work when waiting for it to be our turn for monitoring, to the nurses who know you by name and ALWAYS greet you with a warm upbeat tone, to Dr. JK who truly knows every detail about each one of his patients. I have been a patient since Spring of 2022 and not for a moment have I felt like a number. I am SO happy that I found Dr. JK and know that my fertility path is in the best hands under his care. I cannot recommend this place enough. You will not find a doctor who is more invested and THOROUGH than Dr. Jason.
My journey with Kofinas started with Dr. Masbou in 2020 at age 30. I am now 33 and 16 weeks pregnant! I never thought I could get pregnant but at Kofinas they took the time to run test and figure out what my body needed to conceive. I was diagnosis with PCOS + Amenorrhea at 15. I married at 24 and had been married for 8 years but unable to conceive because I did not ovulate. Shortly after starting with Dr. Masbou (October of 2020), she went on maternity leave and left me under the care of Dr. Sullivan-Pyke. Both doctors were extremely thorough, professional, and compassionate. Dr. Sullivan explained every procedure I was going to undergo and why. I always knew what was coming next and felt safe under her care. She is a knowledgeable doctor and an amazing person. The entire medical team at Kofinas treated me with respect and care- the medical assistants and nurses were caring and always answered my questions in a timely manner. They also all knew me by name and took pride in providing high quality care. During my time with Kofinas, I saw Dr. Harry, Dr. Montes, Dr. Narine, and Dr. G. Kofinas— they were all phenomenal —especially during some of the hardest moments of the process when I was ready to lose hope. I had three transfers (all with my eggs) with different results- one chemical pregnancy, one ectopic (Dr. Narine took care of me for this- she is a skilled surgeon), and my 16 week miracle. It was a journey for me but I trusted Dr. Sullivan wholeheartedly. I refused to go anywhere else. I knew she was going to find the issue and get me pregnant. And, she did! From oocyte retrieval to embryo transfer, I trust Kofinas to do it all! Very grateful that my friend referred me here. By the way, she started her journey at Kofinas at age 40 and after running test and a surgery to remove fibroids, they also got her pregnant! If you want to be a parent, go here. You won’t regret it.
I was a patient at Kofinas for more than 2.5 years so I could write a lot of things... most of them positive. I was a “difficult” case, severe endometriosis, adenomyosis, autoinmune disease... .. I did a lot of cycles and I needed 3 surgeries, Dr George Kofinas followed my case closely and he did a great job, and specially amazing after my first transfer failed when he did my 3rd surgery that I believe changed everything. I’m now 30 weeks pregnant from my second transfer after years of struggles. I visited other clinics before Kofinas and I had consultations with other Drs meanwhile and I know for a fact that no other Dr or clinic in NYC would have made my pregnancy possible.Some things about the clinic: All Drs are great, Dr. Kofinas can seem serious but you can tell he cares about your success, Dr B is very kind and understanding, Dr Sullivan is the sweetest and so is Dr Montes, and the rest are just as nice. There is no email communication, it’s all in person and through phone; All the monitoring is done by Drs, which is great and doesn’t happen in other clinics, so you get your instructions on the spot. My only suggestion is that sometimes you need to have initiative and follow up, specially between cycles or appointments.Their surgery center is top notch, specially for fibroids, endometriosis... you want to go there! I referred two girls there and one got pregnant shortly after her surgery. (The other couldn’t get surgery done bcz of insurance) Shoutout to the nurses too, specially Cristina! It was a long journey for me, but worth everything I went through. I was 36 years old when I got married. I never thought it would be so hard to get pregnant. I had gone to a fertility specialist for two years with no results. I was told due to having stage 4 endometriosis thatI’d only be able to get pregnant through IVF. This was after I had gone for laproscopic surgery, six IUIs and spent thousands of dollars. I was about to give up all hope at that point. Then a friend recommended Dr. Kofinas’s office. I had heard some great things about the office so I figured I would give it one last shot. I had no issues getting an appointment. They had me go to their city office for a few tests and was told I would need another laparoscopic surgery. Willing to do anything I went for it. On January 10, 2020 I went to Dr. Kofinas’s office in downtown NYC and had the surgery. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. I had a post-op appointment with Dr. B a few weeks later. His advice to my husband and I was to go home and try on our own for about two months. Then come back and discuss other options. Well on March 12, 2020 with the help of GD and Dr. Kofinas’s office I found out I was pregnant. Im now 42, with a beautiful 17 month old girl! I just went back to Dr. Kofinas’s office today to start my journey again for baby number 2. I received my miracle and I pray for all those waiting on theres. Im hoping my story will help others to start their journey with Dr. Kofinas and his amazing staff members.
I went to the Kofinas Fertility institute for my egg freezing process and the staff was absolutely amazing. The front desk was always kind, patient and greeted me with a smile. I saw Dr. Narine and she was professional, had great bedside manner and took her time to answer any questions I had. Dr. Narine was thorough and ensured I understood every step of the process. The PAs and nurses took their time to explain the medication to me, break down any steps and calm my nerves when I seemed to be anxious. I highly recommend Dr. Narine and working with the Kofinas group.
The fertility clinic represented to me prior to my appointment and on the day of appointment that they were in-network (for doctor, laboratory and ancilliary services), after obtaining my insurance information for checks. I was later slapped with a $3,000 bill after one consultation/ visit as they turned out to be out of network, and this $3,000 bill only covered bloodwork, ultrasound and a consultation from that one visit. I would not recommend or trust that the clinic will convey the right insurance coverage to potential patients. You would be in much ethical hands elsewhere.
Kofina’ s fertility group staff at 65 Broadway was amazing to me they treated me with kindness and compassion. I am a surrogate and it can be hard to feel like someone other then a womb. Natalie and the staff made me feel comfortable, important and appreciated not to mention there attentiveness to detail. We have been trying for a baby for 2 years. My husband and I have been to 5 fertility clinics. When we found Kofinas, we knew we chose the right place. From our very first phone call with the practice, which was 45 minutes long with the woman who answered all of our questions, to dealing with the nurses and office staff, to Dr. Jason and Dr. George, we have been so pleased and happy with our treatment. We now have a beautiful baby girl who is 5 and a half months old. She came from our first IVF try, and I would be praising the office even if it didnt work round 1. Dr. Kofinas has been honest with us from day one. We went to have IVF and ended up finding I had been suffering from endometriosis....something 4 other doctors missed. He was extremely thorough and cautious and as eager as I was to have my transfer, he made sure my body was in the best condition possible. The office staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone responds in a timely manner and no matter how many emails and phone calls I made, I always received an answer with a smile. Thank you for everything!

The team of doctors and nurses are amazing. The compassionation and time invested in me is unbelievable. They’re so thorough when investigating infertility and do everything possible to help you get and stay pregnant. Its been wonderful just to call the receptionists. I read some bad reviews about Kofinas but dont believe everything you read sometimes you have to try a place for yourself. This facility has made our dream come true of having our daughter. This was our third fertility clinic and was quite exhausted already. Dr. Kofinas was so professional and kind and it put our mind to ease with every step of the way. The facility is clean and welcoming. The staff is amazing. We mostly appreciate the phone calls when we received important updates.

We were trying to conceive for over 2 years. Dr. Kofinas and staff were all amazing. Everyone is very professional and empathetic. I thank Dr. Brzechffa for everything he did for us. He gave us the hope we needed when another clinic told us that I was not a good candidate for fertility treatment. The process to conceive was lengthy, but we were able to conceive on our first IVF transfer. Thanks to Dr. Kofinas and the other doctors on staff, we now have a 3-month old baby boy. I still cannot believe we are parents. But, our dream of becoming parents came true with the help of Kofinas Fertility Group. My husband and I cannot thank them enough.
My experience was absolutely amazing! From the very first appointment Dr. B walked my husband and I through every step. I went into this entire experience expecting the worse and everyone from the receptionist to the nurses and all of the doctors made it so personable. To say that I was scared and nervous would be an understatement but they made me feel as if getting pregnant could be done. We had been trying on our own for almost 2 years with no luck and I felt as it would take a lot of tries and assistance to get pregnant. Everyone’s experience is going to be different but you have to have faith and the Kofinas team made me feel as if it was doable. I went through IUI and it took the second time. Dr. Alex Kofinas was there every step of the way throughout my pregnancy letting me know that I had the support of him and his team. My pregnancy was high risk but physicians felt amazing. I actually looked forward to my visits because they were so forthcoming with information. I have since recommended them to anyone that I know that’s having difficulty getting pregnant and have even given cards to strangers. I give them 500 stars if I could! Dr. Chantae Sullivan-Pyke, is amazing!!!!!! I went to her in 2019 after having a horrible experience with another clinic. I decided to come to Kofinas for my 2nd IVF round. From the first day I meet Dr. Sullivan she was warming, patient, non judgmental, and very knowledgeable. Im happy to announce with my very first frozen cycle with her I am 9 weeks pregnant!!!! My baby is now 1 years old and I cannot thank everyone at the Kofinas Fertility Group enough. I tried IUI and IVF to have a baby. It’s a rough road, but everyone from the doctors to the front desk staff were all amazing. I had 3 rounds. When things weren’t working Jason changed the protocol till I was able to have a successful outcome. This is not a one size fits all shop. I feel so blessed every time I hold my little one. I am forever thankful.
If I started from the beginning google would eventually cut me off. So really really long story short, after a few years of my husband and I unsuccessfully ttc we were referred to Dr. Montes and the Kofinas group. Unfortunately that referral came at a time in our marriage when funds were not quite stable enough to take on the weight of IVF. Still wanting to help us, Dr. Montes suggested IUI and unfortunately it did not take.A couple of years go by and our financial and insurance situation has changed and we were ready for IVF. Dr. Montes was nothing short of amazing. She made an aggressive plan and continuously made adjustments when it seemed necessary. Whether it was her, Dr. B, Dr. Kofinas or any of the nurses that were responsible for my care I felt important. I felt like I was being cared for as an individual. Having experienced IVF where the doctors applied a cookie cutter approach and simply doubled down when it didnt work, I was relieved to have people that love what they do and take pride in success. I am now 16 weeks pregnant and so full of love. They literally held my hand through the first 12 weeks and were available for every question, concern and fear. I now live in NJ and so the Staten Island location provided a convenient alternative for early morning appointments. Dr. B is so amazing and he was diligent about following the plan laid out by Dr. Montes. There is really so much more but honestly you need to experience them for yourself. I am so grateful to them and look forward to going back for my next transfer.
It’s hard to describe exactly how grateful I amTo Kofinas Fertility Group! I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter thanks to them taking me as a patient. As an overweight woman I was scared that no one would even give me a chance at IVF let alone give their all to help me achieve my goal, and Kofinas and his team did! They never made me feel my dreams we unattainable because of my weight and although encouraged me to be healthy, they did not turn me away and instead embraced me. Dr. Montes was so generous with her time and answered all my millions of questions, met with us when we needed and gave me her honest opinion on everything. I never felt I was just being “sold” on IVF, I felt like I was being given all the information both positive and negative so I could be fully informed! I feel the Kofinas Group is like family and I am forever grateful for them!
After trying to conceive for 10 years and being a patient at 2 other clinics with no success, dr Kofinas and staff were able to help and now I have a beautiful baby girl- a real miracle that wouldn’t happen if not for knowledge and expertise of dr Kofinas and his staff. Also the hours were accommodating and I was able to work full time during my treatments. Also Dr Brzechfa is exceptional! Pleasure to be a patient! I sent 2 of my friends to the office.
I highly recommend the Kofinas Fertility Group. If you are struggling trying to conceive, this is the facility you n-e-e-d to try. The doctors and staff are wonderful, professional and compassionate.I had seen several gynecologists over the years, not one mentioned endometriosis.Fast forward to the Kofinas Fertility. After meeting with Dr. Narine (who was immensely patient with my numerous questions), it was determined I had endometriosis.I will be honest, after the surgery to correct this, my husband and I decided to try the IUI route which failed a few times (it was expected as I am older). We then attempted the IVF route, began the injections and half way through, Dr. Kofinas informed us we needed to stop IVF as I was only producing 1 strong egg.THIS is where this facility stands out. As I held my head crying, Dr. Kofinas, in the most compassionate manner, comforted me and believed it would happen when I lost hope. Rather than scrapping any attempts for that month, Dr. Kofinas said the egg looked very healthy and attempted IUI (eventhough it failed in the past) and that decision is how I became pregnant.My pregnancy was fantastic and labor was smooth having found a fantastic gynecologist (Dr. Paone). My son is turning 3 and is a sweet, happy, smart, energetic toddler.That one decision by Dr. Kofinas changed our lives - my husband and I couldnt be any happier having our little boy - exhausted but very happy :)If its one thing to take out of this review, it is this:Other doctors would have stopped IVF treatment for that month if the attempt failed, then start again the following month. I say this as other people I know have endured this with different fertility facilities. Dr. Kofinas, driven as he is, continued with the IUI attempt, if he did not make that decision, I would not have my beautiful child today.Trust in the Kofinas Fertility Group.

We had the same experience as Katelyn below. Kofinas masked that they were out of network saying we were covered. We are in network for Progyny and out of network for Anthem, we only found out 9 months in to the process. Some procedures are under IVF/Progyny and others are medical/Anthem. None of this distinction is clear.The clinic, doctors, and nurses are great. Their business is unethical.
My acupuncturist suggested I see Dr Kofinas at the Fertility Institute because her clients that were under his care were getting pregnant. I left my first RE because, after my first failed transfer, I wanted to have testing done on my uterine lining to see if there was an issue with implantation. I had sort of been diagnosed with endometriosis which had resulted in severe pelvic adhesions on my reproductive structures. But my current Dr didn’t believe in auto-immune infertility and wanted to continue transferring embryos until one stuck. I found the process so devastating I really wanted a Dr to check and see if there were any problems I didn’t know about before we moved forward.Dr. Kofinas and Dr. Montes knew immediately what to do. I was set on a course of testing that addressed all of my concerns about my lining. When I complained about pain with my period, Dr. Kofinas took my concerns seriously and did a laprascopy to try and clean up the endo as much as possible. The surgical care was excellent and I was back on my feet in no time. I was so grateful not to have my pain dismissed.Another great bonus at the Fertility Institute is they offer free admission to a fertility support group led by an excellent psychotherapist, Karine Feldman, who specializes in this particular life crisis. Going to the group was a wonderful adjunct to my treatment at the clinic. I found out the other attendees were paying $400 but for Dr. Kofinas’ clients, it was complementary.I am now happy to report that my husband and I are expecting twins. Dr. Melissa Montes guided us through an emotionally trying phase of our lives with genuine compassion and down to earth realism. She was always present to our concerns in an extremely nurturing and supportive way. I can tell that Dr. Kofinas, who was overseeing our care, is extremely passionate about his work and gets upset himself when procedures fail. His passion drives him to study the latest on cutting edge research in the field and if you go to him, you know he is doing everything humanly possible to help you get pregnant.I feel so blessed to live in an area where this level of medical care is offered. Not only were we treated with the latest in fertility innovation, but we were always treated with respect, kindness and deep compassion. Dr. Kofinas and Dr. Montes are excellent health care providers and I am forever grateful for their expertise and their compassion. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone struggling with infertility, especially if you have a difficult diagnosis as I did.
What a great experience, between the ladies at the front desk to the doctors, techs and nurses in the back! Calling after hours was never a problem and I always felt that I was being taken care of. Dr Nguyen is my all time favorite doctor, he was so down to earth, very helpful and always up to date with studies and statistics. Between Dr Montes, who is the ABSOLUTE BEST and Dr Nguyen, this was a great experience during the most stressful time of my life. I would recommend this group to anyone!!

The most amazing team of doctors, nurses, and techs. They’re compassionate and truly invested in their patients. They’re so thorough when investigating infertility and do everything possible to help you get and stay pregnant. Even their receptionists are wonderful.
Caused me to lose months on my journey and I caught their staffinsulting me. They send many patients for an exploratory endometriosis surgery, so beware. Collecting medical records from them took over 8 weeks. I literally had to remind their staff every week and they would lie and say they shipped the records when they didn’t, which is when one of them accidentally cc’d me on an email where she called me names. I lost precious months because of this place.
After a very lengthy process with Kofinas, my result was negative. I started my process in august of 2021 and completed my process November 2019. Although the staff was very friendly the entire process was fabricated. Normally when doing IUI its done two days back to back. Kofinas did one on Tuesday and one on Thursdays. After doing the procedure then they gave me the trigger shot. Normally, trigger shots should be done before you go in to do your IUI process. Then after looking at my husband sperm the solution look pink, and from my knowledge sperm is normally white. After discussing my issues they want me to pay them again to come back to sit down with the doctor. This place is no good and out to get peoples money. Just note if you go in for an IUI your first one will fail so they can make you come back.
They drained your money without doing anything good. Minimum is $50,000 just for consultants and lab tests. Some lab works are unnecessary in fact. Not including procedures. They over charge you for everything they are doing. They sent the blood work to the lab which is not in your health insurance coverage. This is a fraud in billing.Moreoever, staffs are nosy, and impolite. Please do not come here.Other reviews with five starts are fake.
I have to say, the first impression is amazing, everybody is nice and everything. But basically you say good morning and they give you a long list of tests - which are not cheap to do without any explanation or requesting any prior medical records. I am a healthy women under 25. They put you on hold ten times before you even say hello, the finance personal does not know how to access a PDF file sent in an email and honestly anything!!!! Promise everything is covered under your insurance and then lying to your face. They give you a very hard time if you try to speak to the doctor without having an in-person appointment. After a few tests and visits and many calls, I decided to change the doctor office. After getting a second opinion I learned that they made tests which are not necessary. The process itself is very stressful and they do not make it any easier - just asking to spend more money.
Excellent experience with Dr. Jason Kofinas and staff- as someone intimately familiar with the shortcomings of the American health care system, they made the process a breeze. Professional, competent, and highly recommend.

I had been trying to have a baby for ten years but once i met Dr Jason Kofinas he saw what other doctor’s didn’t see and after a few procedures i delivered my beautiful baby girl at 6 ponds 11 oz. The Kofinas Fertility Group is friendly, caring, and committed to getting you pregnant. They conduct several medical tests and advise you on what are your options. I would recommend them to everyone.
Literally the worst service of any kind I’ve ever received. From the start they got information wrong confusing my file with that of someone else- going as far as sending a prescription for the wrong ailment due to an error in being so unorganized with their charts. From there it got worse- they never knew what I was in for (clearly don’t read charts before seeing patients), always had to wait 1.5 hours plus, they never showed me how to do any injections (when calling in panic the first night, the nurse/doct on call was very nice and sent me to YouTube links, which would have been helpful beforehand). On the night of trigger shot they prepped the medicine for me in the wrong size syringe so literally use a paper clip to keep it from releasing medication until that evening and never told me to refrigerate it (so was not chilled for over 10 hours). I am appalled by my experience. And now I’m dealing with 2 lab bills that they submitted incorrectly to quest (the second is just a copy of the first that they submitted a month later incorrectly/in duplicate). I’m now at a different clinic that is night and day and so much happier. Don’t waste your time, money, emotion with this place. So sad.Update on 4/1. Hysterical that they say call us, Im still dealing with a billing error they made to quest from September and they never call back/answer emails. They shouldnt even be allowed to operatesee patients, completely incompetent office.
I can’t say enough how much we love this practice. From the doctors , nurses , reception , and insurance dept. everyone is absolutely amazing and we always feel well taken care of. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for help to start their family.

These people take all your money. The Staff is unprofessional. I witness a Patient standing by the Nurses station waiting to be seen while all the Nurses and Doctor just standi NH around gossiping. Finally, bother Nurse finally came and ask the Patient if she is being helped.
I came here in May 2020 and saw Dr. Levica Narine. I am very pleased with the care and service I got here from the nursing staff and my doctor. they were very thorough and I would definitely recommend this place to any woman having fertility issues.
We have two kids thanks to Kofinas - both IVF cycles took the first time. God is good and Kofinas knows what he’s doing.

I would definitely recommend using them. They gave me the best gift, my daughter. The staff is very friendly and the doctors are very professional.
Be warm you’ll be waiting for hours, so bring breakfast or a snack. Biggest problem is they make appointments and they don’t actually see you until hours later, like what’s the point of scheduling an appointment if you won’t be seen until later.
Dr. Jason not only have us hope, but gave us a baby after 10+ years of trying. We will be forever grateful.

I commenced my journey with Kofinas in January 2023. The road to pregnancy has been long, but thanks to the exceptional care provided by Dr. Narine and the entire staff at Kofinas, particularly, this journey has been remarkably smooth. Dr. Narine was an invaluable source of support for us. From the outset of our check-ups, we had numerous preparations to make for the IVF process. During my time at Kofinas, I underwent several surgeries and multiple egg retrievals. Despite the challenges, we eventually found a healthy embryo and had it implanted. As I write this review today, I am excited to announce that I am expecting and based on previous sonograms and check-ups, the baby is developing healthily and progressing as expected. I am immensely grateful to Dr. Narine and the entire Kofinas team for making this IVF journey of mine unforgettable and truly worthwhile.
