My experience here has been very personal and tailored.I was able to ask questions in a meeting with the doctor and nurse. They are fast and responsive when you email them. The instructions they send on what medications to take are succinct, clear, and direct. They time the procedure down to the hour. The office is so clean, neat, organized, and aesthetically pleasing.@NHFC Thank you so much for your help and hard work!
I graduated from NHFC today and wanted to share my pleasant experience. As a working woman, I appreciated their flexible early hours/weekends. The office is set up in the most efficient manner which ensured I was in and out of monitoring appointments quickly. The office is also in a perfect location for commuting and is comfortable and clean. All of their departments have associated email addresses, so I am able to get all my questions answered quickly and directly. I normally got an email response within a few hours each time. In terms of billing, IVF in general is expensive anywhere, and I knew this ahead of time, so I did the research and understood my benefits. NHFC was upfront from the first day about self pay pricing and what services are typically not covered, so I knew exactly what I needed to budget in advance. Lastly, the care of the doctors was highly skilled and knowledgeable. I was not over medicated nor did I have much down time after any of my procedures. I found all the doctors, nurses, ultrasound techs, front desk, and the team that drew my blood to all be patient, friendly and overall seem to love their job. I will definitely return to NHFC should the need arise again in the future. Thank you again!!
I give NH a 4 starts because of them I did have my miracle twins and I am forever grateful. Now before doing IVF please do your research so the doctors don’t just do anything with you. I feel as I was a success because I was on top of everything and always asked questions. This clinic has its good and its bad. The communication isn’t that great. I did my egg retrieval and 3 eggs was a success I waited one month for the transfer and without talking to me they wanted to do another egg retrieval. If I didn’t ask what was the next step they would have charged me another $10,000 mind you I paid everything in cash and I think they wanted to take advantage of that. Once I found out what they wanted to do I told them no I had faith in my 3 little embryos. With God my transfer was a success and my babies are beautiful and healthy. The other thing I didn’t like about this clinic was my discharge. I felt as because I wasn’t dropping thousands of dollars anymore and my pregnancy was strong they didn’t tell me what I should do after discharge. Again I had to do my research I was discharge 7 weeks pregnant and most people get discharge 10-12 weeks. But God is good. Now what I do like about this clinic is that it’s clean. The ladies who do your bloodwork are amazing and the anesthesiologist was great for every surgery i had to do. I loved that I didn’t have to take so much medications like most clinics do. I would recommend this clinic to women who have a high chance of getting pregnant with IVF because with the communication skills that this clinic has it can be very difficult for others.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this fertility. Over the course of eight months, I invested a significant amount of time, money, and emotional energy, only to be left with nothing to show for it. I spent around $35,000 or more and endured countless treatments, but the results were non-existent. and I often felt like just another number rather than a valued patient. This entire ordeal has been a waste of my time, money, and health. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking fertility treatments
Honestly the best fertility clinic ever. I just had my baby and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you NH for my miracle baby. If you’re looking for a fertility clinic this one is it!!! I made sure to follow every step and directions they gave me. Everyone is very professional and welcoming. I would say excellent service, never had a problem. Also very clean. My doctor was DR Zeitoun.
My partner and I will not be coming back to NHFC due to the 4 unsuccessful attempts with this center and poor bedside manner. We spent over 25k out of pocket already for an egg retrieval, 3 embryo transfers and one failed IUI. Also was told we had a bad batch of 10 embryosOur first which was doctor Zhang told us false information, he claimed by partner has endometriosis and read the wrong chart saying she had a c-section. I am highly frustrated, disappointed and want nothing to do with this center. Spent a whole year of hoping that something good will come out of this, instead we dealt with failure after failure with no answers from what was reason for the poor batch of embryos. Also was told to terminate a pregnancy in the hallway in front on 4 others.
I have been having issues with their billing department for years. I tried for months to have them resolved years ago to no avail. They then started using a billing company called Embryo Options and I thought that I would be able to finally move forward. The staff at Embryo Options were very kind, patient and helpful. After giving them all the details of my dispute Embryo Options reached out to New Hope over the course of several months with all of the issues. They received no feed back whatsoever and nothing was resolved. Just recently New Hope decided to stop using Embryo Options and now they are demanding payment again without taking a time to look through any of the notes that were sent over by Embryo Options. Someone from their billing department reached out to me a few weeks ago, and I explained the situation. They said that they would call me back the next day, but never did.
All of these reviews are centered around how terrible the billing dept is but in my experience they were the least of my problems with New Hope. The second you enter the doors here youre just a number. You dont even sign in with a person but on a tablet. Nobody calls your name when theyre ready for you - they just put your name on a screen and tell you where to go. Most of the nurses dont even ask how youre feeling or even say hello. Youre just a body that needs to be extracted from. In my honest opinion, this is the entry to hell where bad nurses go to simply survive because they have hearts of steel and would never make it anywhere else. Not only are the nurses terrible (seriously in 4 months of treatment here there were only 2 that I liked) but the main receptionist is a rude, grouchy woman who needs to take the stick out from her butt and learn to be nice to people who are going through a very difficult time in their lives. Im not exaggerating when I say that she made me cry in their lobby on more than one occasion and then everyone else in the clinic just ignored the fact that I had tears streaming down my face. I wont even spend my time on how the doctors used the wrong protocol which completely ruined my first cycle and just left me broken. Just know that youre better off going anywhere else in this huge city. After only 1 cycle I quit this place and found another, much smaller and MUCH better clinic that actually makes me feel cared for and have had much more success with them.Do yourself a favor and ignore any recommendation to NHFC because it is truly hell on earth.
Starting my 1st cycle and so far its great. They were upfront with pricing (selfpay) and are quick to communicate. I literally just called my nursing team freaking out and they were on it!
Firstly, THIS PLACE IS BANKRUPT, literally, as of 2023. I would not start any new procedures here. That aside, I had a horrible experience (somehow 14 follicles led to 3 eggs being harvested after a 3-month process of 7am weekly sonograms and blood draws), and was then double-charged for the extraction process ($4500 over). Called literally 20 times to ask for a refund and kept getting put on hold and then hung up on, blown off, promised a return call that never happened, etc. Im not surprised theyre going out of business. Im a very patient person and not normally a Karen-type, but nobody should have to go through what I went through here. Please go elsewhere, for your own sake. NYU has great fertility centers, for example, and they are professional and responsive.
This the worst clinic ever I seen . Bunch of unprofessional physicians work here who doesn’t even check carefully patient chart why patient here for . Very recent experience I did my 3rd iVF with them . They prescribed me wrong medication on my FET . They prescribed me provide me on June 3rd RX Ovidrel 250mcg/0.5 Syringe (Ml). This meds is triggering shot for egg retrieval not for FET . I call prescription department why doctor prescribed me this injection. I pay out of my pocket this expensive injection and you guy didn’t used for FET cycle. I asked clinical nurse on my FET day she doesn’t have any answers and told me you could keep it . What I suppose to do this meds if you guys aren’t used this injection. Who will cover my financial damaged. They don’t have any consultants after IVF failed, not even doctor called to explain why and what is the next steps . All are just collecting poor patient money without any better treatment. This is a big fraudulent scam business they are running here . Dr. Jung prescribed me this wrong injection. I spoke to several people at the front to send message why they spend my money unnecessary meds no one answers as of yet.so who ever planning to treatment here my advice please look for other best clinics . I spend 4 years with them and spend almost 70 thousand dollars for nothing. They didn’t do anything special for me . After failed IVF doctor asked me why failed? So funny, you’re the special doctor for fertility and you asked patient why failed pregnancy. If patient have that answers they shouldn’t spend money here . So very bad , unethical treatment in NHFC.
This place does not just give you hope but the life you desire and deserve! Had my first at age 40 from NHFC, I was overjoyed. And when I had my 2nd again at age 43, I was not just overjoyed but beyond grateful. My two boys are my heart and soul and thank you NHFC/Dr. Zhang and Dr. Liu for giving me the life that I have always wanted, I could not have asked for more.❤️
I am so grateful for Dr. Zhang , Dr. Liu , all of the doctors , nurses , sonographers , front desk and to the entire team in the Lab at New Hope for dedicating their careers and lives to helping me and woman like me to have a miracle baby .I have been coming here since December 2020 and every single appointment I leave with more hope . I am pregnant again from New Hope and I officially graduate from the clinic next week which is bitter sweet. They are Angels on earth and I am just so glad I choose this clinic. I cant wait to go back again in the future. My doctor was Dr. Liu whom was professional , great at communicating with me by phone / in person , so caring and understanding . Dr Zhang I was with for my first IVF baby and he listened to my concerns and communicated with me very well. Both doctors are experts in their field and I trusted them which led us to success . They are an incredible team.I recommended New Hope to all of my friends that suffered with infertility and secondary infertility which all of whom had a successful transfer, pregnancy and healthy baby thanks to them.If you are looking for a fertility clinic that is affordable , caring , flexible and successful ... choose New Hope !!
The clinical staff here are extremely thorough, efficient, responsive (emails), and does a great job with patient care and providing detailed instructions. I appreciate that and Dr. John Zhang is probably my favorite. No matter what, he’s always at the clinic working and available for his patients. I wonder if he sleeps at the clinic after reviewing charts and looking at ultrasounds all day. He doesn’t pass you along to anyone else even if he only has a minute to spare, he makes time or he’ll give you a call later in the same day. I’ve come in on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and he’s been in the clinic working hard. I’ve only just begun my actual IVF cycle with him and I already know he’s extremely thorough. Before beginning this cycle, he monitored me for one month on my natural cycle to understand my body’s natural hormones and see the progression of my follicles without any stimulation. Now he has proceeded to develop a protocol specifically to my body’s needs. I’ve had three failed IUI’s at a clinic much closer to my house in Princeton, NJ (not their fault - 43yrs old at the time), and now it’s time to step it up, but without harsh injections. Since finding Dr. Zhang at New Hope Fertility, I don’t mind catching the 1-hour train ride for my weekly or 2X week monitoring visits. The reason I gave this review 4 stars is because the front desk staff needs to be more customer friendly oriented. I should not stand in front of a receptionist waiting for nearly 5 minutes without being acknowledged. That is rude and unprofessional - let alone inconsiderate. We, the patients are the reason that they are at the clinic working! We deserve some acknowledgment no matter how busy the receptionists are.
I was double-billed $4250 for an egg retrieval procedure and have now called on the phone 8 times and spoken to people at the billing counter in person twice and have not been refunded. At one point I was told all I could get was a credit in return, despite the explicit admission that I should never have been billed in the first place. Three times Ive been promised that someone would call me back that same day; Ive never been called back. Its been a month. I am considering going to small claims court over this, or reporting this business to the BBB for fraud.I could write a book about the way I was treated medically, too - confused with other patients, asked to do weekly testing for 8 weeks straight because nobody reviewed my medications and noticed that the brand of birth control I was on causes elevated estrogen levels (something youd think a gynecologist would know! And something I myself asked about on my first visit!), told I would get 14-16 eggs and then actually retrieving 3 (no explanation or apology there), told to wait in a room and then forgotten about for half an hour, waiting freezing and half-naked on the table for 50 minutes (yes, literally) for a sonogram, and mocked by the retrieval surgeon while strapped naked to the table. Oh, and given no guidance at all on how to do home injections, which is straight-up illegal and potentially deadly.Go anywhere else. They are shady AF. They will charge you for procedures you never had and make it impossible to get your money back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for too long - now I think its just a scam. I regret the time and money I wasted here.
Our doctor and the nurses were great. The nurses were especially attentive and caring but as soon as you have to talk to billing, the facade of a caring and reputable clinic quickly crumbles. Even though they sit down with you and go over the costs in the beginning, we were still hit with surprise bills from 3rd party companies they work with without them ever mentioning it up front and without giving us the choice to work with them. Getting in touch with billing or anyone who could answer our questions about the surprise bills or our treatment plan was hopeless after the initial call where they collect your money. I was called repeatedly by billing in order to collect money for elective testing, and finally answered one night at 7pm. When I had questions though, they were unavailable. Finally, after weeks and weeks of calling and emailing and showing up to the clinic, we were able to get some answers from one of the nurses. We had already decided to leave at that point. They are understaffed (which my doctor did mention in passing once) but no one will provide any explanations or apologies, not even an acknowledgment which is very frustrating. And most of their billing department is remote so they never have to face you and can conveniently be unavailable for weeks. My advice if you do decide to go with New Hope is to go in already prepared with research and questions from your first visit. They will not offer any information unless you specifically ask for it even if it is helpful.
A huge thank you to Dr.Zang for making this miracle happen I got pregnant in November with this clinic and just had our baby boy on Sunday 7/21/24.Happy and healthy
Today we were heartbroken. Had an egg retrieval done last Thursday, planning for a 3 day fresh transfer which would have been sunday. One egg was retrieved. I had an ultrasound before the retrieval, but apparently the measurements or readiness of the egg they were aiming for wasnt taken into consideration because low and behold I get an email saying the egg was very immature and had to be cultured in hopes of it maturing overnight. Thank God, it did. Fertilization was done thru ICSI, then thank God that was also successful. Then saturday (Day before scheduled transfer) I suddenly get a phone call that the egg hadnt began dividing yet and they recommended to culture with hopes of freezing and transferring next cycle. The doctor was very rude, refused to answer/explain anything, and basically yelled at me over the phone. We felt cornered and agreed. We live 7 hours away from the clinic. Being reassured that we would be notified of any problems or changes. We had to leave that piece of our heart all the way in New York, fully trusting that everything would be done to care for our embryo..Sunday…nothing Monday…nothing All week… nothing.. then after several emails, i get a response weds. They advised that they cannot interrupt the embryonic development by giving daily updates (which was completely understandable!)but rest assured i would be notified immediately of any drastic changes or problems. So we took it as no news was good news. Got thru yesterday ok, hoping for some news.. nothing.. Bringing us to this morning. I emailed once more desperately trying to find out what was going on as 8 days after egg retrieval seemed like an incredibly long time to wait to hear anything. Then quickly recieved an email. Our embryo failed to divide to become a candidate for freezing and it had been cultured out per protocol. Just that easy. Boom. Gone. While just 2 DAYS ago i was told everything was ok. No one notified us about this until i asked. Ive been in complete distress all day unconsolable. My husband has been crying. After weeks of coordinating outside monitoring, doing my absolute best to juggle work and monitoring and traveling to the clinic and the extreme anxiety and just stress in general of waiting and hearing nothing about something so fragile has mentally emotionally and physically taken its toll.I didnt even get a phone call. No sympathy, no support from the clinic, just a dry cut throat email that hit us like a bullet to the heart. So our hopes… dreams.. everything just gone. As far as insurance goes, we have none. Every single thing was paid for put of pocket. Now were left to accept that our little part of us is gone. They could have told us sooner so we would know what was happening They could have called personally to give us this devastating news but they didn’t. We are distraught. Heartbroken. To have placed so much trust in a medical practice, just to be left with doubts, uncertainty, now not having any proof as to what happened or went wrong.. wishing for someone to explain what was going on, instead of making us feel like we were bothering and inconveniencing them if we dared ask any questions can only be described as traumatic.
They bait and switched me into taking weeks of expensive meds to prepare for retrieval, all the while saying it would be covered by insurance. When I arrived the morning of retrieval, 2 hours from home, they suddenly said insurance wouldnt cover it and demanded I pay $4,250 on the spot out of pocket, or else cancel the cycle. My hands were tied after already investing so much time and money, so I paid them. When I called insurance to complain, they said New Hope had never even attempted to file a claim, and that I should have only been responsible for an $82 copay. They have refused to take my calls, return voicemails/emails/portal messages since May 2023. Apparently they filed for bankruptcy and I am not the only person theyve stolen from. Additionally theyve hijacked 5 frozen eggs of mine, since they wont return my calls requesting they be shipped to my current clinic. AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS.
Great service with friendly staff. Even if your hopes are let down by other clinics they will take their time to make your dreams come true at a fraction of the costs from other clinics. Highly recommend this clinic and wished I went to them before wasting 2 years at other clinics and wasted tens of thousands dollars. I got the furthest with NHFC and have all hopes up as they got me to an embryo stage. My case is complicated and they indeed give you new hope when everyone else is failing you. Still a patient but feel like I will be successful in the end.
I had a very negative experience with New Hope. The nurse in charge of my wifes case was mistakenly delayed in informing their prescription department about needing a time sensitive medication. In order to fill the prescription on time, their prescription department knowingly sent the prescription to a commercial pharmacy which disqualified the medication from reimbursement. After 40+ phone calls, 20+ hours on the phone, and numerous emails over months with the insurance company etc. attempting to sort through the wreckage I ended up asking for a credit on my billing statement for their mistake - which they admitted to! - but ultimately told me they wouldnt own up to their error.Overall, while they have a good grasp of the medicine and the technology, they are horrendous at communication, operations, and patient satisfaction. One anecdote: I was brought in to do blood work at some point. The nurse who was taking my blood asked me if I had anything to eat or drink leading up to the blood work - I told her I had a cup of coffee. She was disappointed as apparently coffee has a dehydrating effect and can affect the blood results. The only thing I could think is: Then why do you serve coffee in your lobby? Theres no signage! I received no prior communication as to any needed preparation! Why is the onus on me to divine what is needed to be done?Another: I was explicitly told by my insurance company that certain types of genetic testing were reimbursed by my insurance plan. Apparently this is unusual - New Hope told me that while their billing department handles all of the pre-authorization submissions etc. for all other charges, they refuse to even attempt to submit a genetic testing claim for reimbursement. After what I went through on the fertility medication I just dropped it and didnt bother asking for the documentation necessary to submit for a claim. Juice simply isnt worth the squeeze.I strongly recommend that you re-consider engaging with these people. They dont care about patient outcomes and only about their bottom line. They dont care about how much they inconvenience you, how little you understand you are getting billed for, whether or not you are getting the support you need to get reimbursed by insurance, nothing. Steer clear.
So far great experience. Diana did not rush anything during our consultation and was very thorough, patient and kind. Follow up call tomorrow fingers crossed we will have a baby sometime in the near future.
Some of these reviews are quite the contrary when it comes to my own experience with them. I had come from two horrifying experiences with un-empathetic fertility doctors pumping me with so many medications, my body shut down completely.New Hope Fertility Center took the time to assess and get a baseline. Waiting for the medications to leave my body and starting me with low hormonal medications and heavily monitoring my levels. Eventually, they found the right balance and went with it, resulting in my biological son’s birth.I always refer my friends and women/couples to New Hope who are going through this tough journey because they didn’t turn me away due to my difficult case. During my experience, you can actually see them trying to decipher one’s medical case and sometimes even conferring with other doctors in the practice to brainstorm. Most fertility centers don’t like difficult cases because they only want high “baby-making” stats! New Hope gave me just that, a “new hope” in having my own biological child. My experience is not worthy of a mere “thank you” for making me a mom and my husband a dad. This is life-changing and priceless. I always pray for them with hopes they continue making dreams come true for others. My dream came true because of them and I will eternally be grateful to Dr John Zhang and his team for that. ❤️
After experiencing the worse with new hope today, I decided to check reviews. Upon reading reviews. I realized that what happened to me today after receiving an email from the director of operations, Renee Finley, is what typically happens in that clinic with many clients. Everything people are saying about billing in these reviews is true! It’s very hard to get someone to return your emails or call you to discuss the glitches. Their method is gaslighting you to cover their internal issues that, obviously, Dr. Zhang fails to address. After monitoring for 2 months, billing wants to tell me that my insurance is not in network. I tried emailing the billing manager , Wendi, 5 times and she never responded. Evidently these people need to restructure the administration. It’s simply horrible. I ended up showing up in person wanting to speak to Dr. Zhang. But be careful with these gaslighting conniving individuals. Wendi rushed to approach Dr. Zhang before I got him. Then Dr. Zhang brushed me off about the billing topic saying they were busy and convinced me to monitor for “free” on that day. He told me he would then speak to Wendi and Wendi would follow up and it turns out Dr. Zhang never communicated with Wendi. I had to follow up with numerous calls and emails and no one responded to me. Again, I showed up in person and spoke to Renee Finley. This woman used the same approach as Wendi. She made me believe I would get a consultation with Dr. Zhang that I requested. But she’s very keen at using psychology. So be ware of her and the entire billing dept. I found out my insurance covers basic fertility monitoring through a pre authorization process that validates my fertility as deemed medically necessary. I approached wendi and Renee regarding this matter. They said they would call my insurance and we confirmed a time to speak again. They never called me at the appointed time, and later, I receive an email stating my services are terminated. Why? The reasons she stated in the email were the most preposterous reasons, stating things like it will cause you too much stress (paraphrasing). Renee stated that after having a consultation with Dr Zhang , they determined termination of patient services. What narrative did Renee express to him that I don’t know about? Is this how they want a woman to feel as if fertility itself is not stressful enough?! They are filthy rich so why would they care about the emotions of the minority (meaning the ones who end up experiencing the horrors with billing vs the ones who are perhaps filthy rich (majority) and are self paid and don’t care about anything else but getting pregnant). This was an insurance/money assumption based decision. Besides if you do your research and google new hope and bankruptcy, this place filed for bankruptcy in April 2023. Beware of people like this during a sensitive journey such as fertility. They are not paying attention to detail because they are disorganized and highly stressed.
NHFC repeatedly ran my insurance incorrectly and then told me I didn’t have coverage. I paid out of pocket since the medication cycle had already been started. My insurance confirmed there was coverage and paid the bill. However, It took them two months to get in contact with NH and make that payment. It is now 5 months later and I just got the refund. After dozens of phone calls and emails and threatening legal action. The woman who finally called to let me know the refund would process was incredibly rude and seemed shocked that I was frustrated with the process. It was also very confusing dealing with appointments and hard to get anyone on the phone. I’m glad my baby is on her way but I DO NOT RECCOMEND.
I had an exceptional experience with the staff member Kim Vilchez at the IVF clinic who handles billing. She showed an unparalleled level of care and dedication towards my needs. She went above and beyond to assist me with my monthly payments, which eased a significant burden during a challenging time. What stood out most was her commitment to keeping me informed – a rarity in todays clinics. She consistently followed up on promises, demonstrating a genuine commitment to patient care. I am extremely grateful for her support and would highly recommend her services. Thank you for your outstanding assistance! Love, Vanessa G
As a patient for 3 years, this has been the worst experience of my life. Unfortunately, I am still a patient. So let me start from the beginning. The first time u go in, everything seems like it’s going to be great, everyone is nice and welcoming, the office is nice, consultation with Dr. Makarov was awesome, she made my partner and I feel hopeful. And then u actually start the process and it’s a NIGHTMARE! Everyone and everything turns to hell. As patients paying out of pocket, u HAVE TO KEEP UR RECEIPTS or u will be paying for things that billing “CLAIMS” u never paid for. The doctor will have u doing procedures multiple times for NO REASON. Everything is the slowest process mainly because you get no help!! Trying to get in contact with someone? GOOD LUCK! But one thing they will do is run u down for a payment even if u already made the payment! Your calls will go unanswered, messages NEVER RETURNED!! I stuck to emailing, and even then NO ONE RETURNS YOUR EMAILS OR CALLS!!! This is a process that is supposed to be STRESS FREE and unfortunately new hope MAKES IT STRESSFUL! No one knows what’s going on, nurses are constantly clueless about LITERALLY everything! No one works together, billing is… well I can’t post those words on google. Dr. Makarov seems over worked and as if she has no idea what she’s doing. I can’t speak about the other doctor, Dr.zhang but I haven’t heard good things about him either so what’s the point. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! They claim to be affordable, they are far from it, they raise their prices 3 times on us BY THE HUNDREDS AND THOUSANDS! TRIPLED THEIR PRICES! They are the most unhelpful and dreadful clinic I have ever been to in my life! The only reason we are still here is because we have our embryos here. Unfortunately after 3 years I’m still not pregnant. And all in all it’s because of the lack of care, lack of communication and the unending stress that new hope has given us! Please go somewhere else. The reason I’m FINALLY writing this review is in hopes that no other couple goes through what my partner and I have been through and are still going through after 3 years!
After meeting with so many different fertility specialists and feeling lost. Coming to new hope fertility clinic was the best decision I ever made. Our first consultation was today and this was the first time I felt comfortable, at ease and not out of place. Our doctor was extremely supportive, informative and helpful with helping us making sure that we get the right plan. So I could be able to achieve getting pregnant successfully. I can tell that they understand how stressful this is for us so they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable.
From a place that started so intimate sold me .. I didn’t not expect guaranteed results I expected a support team with the amount of money I was paying . One financial encounter , I was spoken to like a piece of garbage . Not treated like a human especially not a patient of theirs for multiple years . The drs and nurses went above and beyond as the sonographers and phlebotomists . I love certain workers and they were the reason I kept going with no direct plan . I had HOPE. There have been over a dozen phone calls multiple emails and not one response . To them I’m just another number I assume . I am hurt I wasted an abused amount of money and the amount of years I trusted them to guide me through this journey . Wendy from financial needs to learn how to speak to patients and return the calls . To me she showed they don’t care about the patients they care about the money . Heartbroken and yet here w are months later sending bills not worried about the patient at all . The billing department should be educated on how to speak to patients and financial obligations so disrespectful !
New Hope is a the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. They operate like it is an assembly line or a drive through. There is no real care or compassion for the patients and let’s not start with the billing department. The billing manager Wendy Ramirez never get back to you with any information and dismisses you with no resolution. Every time you speak to her on the phone she is no help, rude, very unprofessional and always sounds like she is running a day care center in the back ground. She bills you for unnecessary charges; so review your bill very carefully especially if you are a self pay patient. I’ve never dealt with a more unprofessional manager in my life. No wonder New Hope is filling for bankruptcy.
I really loved New Hope and received wonderful care when going through the IVF process. This negative review is for the communication, or lack there of, after my embryos have been frozen. Trying to get in touch with my doctors regarding next steps and questions on results, and scheduling follow up appointments has been very difficult. Beware that when you call as an existing patient, you will be transferred to a call center where you rely a message and someone is supposed to call you back. Very seldomly do I get a call back, and have to call multiple times to finally have a nurse or scheduling assistant return my call. This is very frustrating, I shouldn’t have to be on hold for over 10 minutes and then leave a message with no call back, and then have to follow up religiously to get someone on the phone when it comes to my healthcare. New hope please work on this.
We came in 2019, had had a pretty bad experience with the process that I have shared in a previous comment. Now 4 year later, we received a bill for storage we never asked for. We actually sign a form for Disposal/ donation but apparently the embryo was stored instead and they are now asking for storage payment. I have reach out to several people and nobody is answering telling me they cannot locate my file. I sent them the form we signed. At the time but we are still receiving late notice payment notifications and threat to send a collection agency! I asked in June ti speak with legal / management department but nobody replied. What a disgrace. Run away from this place.
I see some negative reviews and honestly suprised. As a patient you need to learn about the process in advance. Dont expect that you will be fed from a spoon. No one will be holding your hand. Do your research, know how to do injections, and follow instructions. They make it very affordable already compared to other clinics.I am from TX and did my monitoring locally. I received updates from the nurses in a timely manner. They are very professional and know what they are doing.I had failed egg retrieval with another clinic 2 years ago because they did not do an US before egg retrieval. New Hope fertility knows better to do an US before egg retrieval. I was impressed with such thoroughness.Also...its not that painful. I did it without general anesthesia.
Everything was horrific! Our consultation visit with Dr. Makarov was really good. It was the only consultation we had with an IVF clinic and enjoyed our interaction with her so much that we decided to go through our IVF journey with NHFC. However, the rest has been a nightmare. It was extremely difficult to get in contact with anybody via telephone. Our emails were ignored a lot of times, the staff is extremely impersonal. I barely interacted with the Doctor after our consultation. She always seemed to be in a rush once we became patients. We were informed about everything via email; including my IVF embryo transfer results of a negative pregnancy test.As a first time IVF patient, I had no idea what to expect and no information was voluntarily offered to us. Most of my knowledge came from google and by a lovely nurse that was assigned to me through the financial company we used to pay for our IVF expenses. We had so many issues with the billing department at NHFC, as I mentioned we had taken a loan from Future Family which is a financial company NHFC uses for patients who cannot pay for out of pocket cost for treatment and procedures. The mess between these two companies made my IVF journey a living nightmare; their lack of communication amongst each other was dreadful; we were told twice that Future family could not honor our loan due to an outstanding balance NHFC owed to them.I would never recommend anyone to choose NHFC as their IVF clinic, this process is stressful and sometimes heartbreaking enough without all the chaos and unprofessionalism NHFC come with. I felt like money was all that matters there and I felt like a number not a patient. This is an extremely expensive procedure, no one should feel the way NHFV made my husband and I feel. Honestly, I couldn’t wait until the entire cycle was over.
Horrible user interface and customer service. I have been trying FOR THREE MONTHS to pay a bill. No one answers the phone. The automated phone system doesnt work. Finally I got someone on the phone and she said she cannot accept payment information over the phone. If this company cant even handle payment, how can I trust them with my tissue? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!
Many nice and skilled people - particularly Dr. Z, as well as Penny (coordinator) and Wendy (with the lovely voice and manner) in billing, who is amazing and incredibly helpful. My advice is to be organized and keep good records and notes, so you have information they need to process/settle any issues you might have. Best of luck everyone, and may your fertility dreams come true!!!!
Dr. Wong and his staff were amazing g. They were very patient with all of the questions that I had in regards to IVF and prompt to respond.Cathy from billing was wonderful as well! After my initial consultation she reviewed my insurance coverage in detail and answered all of my questions. In between my treatments, Cathy provided a detail explanation of what was billed through my insurance, along with a PDF file for me to keep. We were also able to reach an agreement for an appropriate payment plan.Thank you everyone for taking care of me during this stressful experience.
If I could give this clinic 0 point, I would. Uncaring, unprofessional, unresponsive are few of the words that describe this clinic. I had my tests done more than a week ago. Never received a call or email from the doctor, John Zhang. I had to call several times and on the 4th call, I finally was able to speak to the nurse named Katie. She asked me to come back and do another set of tests while not letting me know of my first tests results. So, I had to call back again and ask for my first tests results, which I finally received after 11 days. Now if a doctor’s mission is to cure the sickness or conditions of patients and improve their quality of life, this clinic definitely does not align with this mission. Instead, this clinic operates as a production line and you do not receive the care that you need and deserve as a human a being. Based on my personal experience, I do not recommend this fertility clinic.
Their professionalism allowed me to graduate from the clinic in about six short months! Their work was divided and efficient, and each monitoring session took only 40 minutes at the longest, from check-in to check-out. The billing department women explained everything in detail with charts at our first meeting and even checked with my insurance company. I do not speak English, but all the nurses were kind and cheerful. The doctor only saw me at milestones such as egg retrieval and transfer, but I have no particular complaints about that because the nurses were quite knowledgeable and that was enough for me. Most of the communication with the hospital was by email, which was convenient because it was hard to make mistakes and I could see the messages whenever I wanted. The treatment was also quick and responsive to changes, such as changing the procedure the next time if transfer did not occur the first time. Anyway, the clinic was efficient and the staff was very nice and friendly.
I did not have a pleasant experience here. I was told to go here and work with a specific doctor by my OBGYN - I did that, but wish I hadn’t. Monitoring went mostly okay - I do think there are better ways to do the ultrasounds, especially the nurse that skipped reading my chart and proceeded to keep looking for my left ovary which I do not have. It was incredibly painful. The worst part is the egg retrieval. They only have one size of gown - which was INCREDIBLY short on me and didn’t fully close comfortably. When I went to the waiting area and was told to sit down, I opted to stand because I didn’t want my bare vagina to be sitting on their chairs since I was already flashing the other patients there.Once I was called in for the retrieval, I felt a bit like I was in Clockwork Orange with an overhead projector showing what eggs they pulled out. It was very painful for me, and midway through the process I started crying. I was told to not cry, and that the pain shouldn’t be that bad. Well, it was, and honestly, I was scared.Ultimately, after 2 retrievals, I’ve given up on trying to get eggs after going through what I went through here. All the videos and information they give you to read don’t prep you for what actually will be happening from monitoring to retrieval. A LOT of different information without much that’s really useful for what you’ll be going through as a patient. They also explain many times that if you take the meds they prescribe at night, you’ll have less side effects. This is categorically false, and the mood swings and issues caused by chlomid needs to be better explained by them to their patients.Overall, do not recommend. It’s a place made for churning out numbers, not for really caring for their patients. If you have any abnormalities, go elsewhere.
Dr. Jenn was amazing! She took the time to go over options after reviewing our case and asking questions. We devised a plan and she explained everything to us. She really took the time we needed and was so compassionate and caring during our initial visit.
BEWARE FACTORY- Terrible experience! initial consultation and visits were with Dr. Zhang and I decided to book the procedure with him. The morning of the procedure I was lost and kept calling to only get an answering service, they dont pick up the phones! Finally I find the place and meet with Dr. Zhang at around 9:30 am before the procedure and tells me he will see me after the procedure all while making me think he is the one doing the procedure since I did fly cross country to come see him. As they are prepping me for the procedure I hear they mention a different dr. I automatically questioned it and asked where was Dr. Zhang? I had interviewed him and felt comfortable to book the procedure with him. To my surprise, it was in fact another Dr. doing the PRP, someone I had never talked to or even heard of. I was very upset and requested to talk to the Dr. he came out rushed and asked what I wanted. I had to look him up in seconds and see who this Dr. was, credentials experience etc. Needless to say, I was very upset. Then once I decided to proceed anyway, the anestiseologist punctures my vein and blood squirts everywhere making a pool of blood on the floor, she throws a blanket on the floor to cover the blood and apologizes but it was the culmination of events that should have given me a clue about this place- hindsight I should have walked out at that point. Total Disaster! It is now 12:30 PM- 3 hours past my procedure appt. and fasting because I was told not to eat. I was light headed and upset... we finally do the procedure and I dont get out of there until after 2pm. Procedure was rather quick. After it all, there was NO follow up. I tried to retrieve my records for months, unanswered email and unanswered calls. The worst medical experience I have ever had. DONT GO!!!
The 2 stars are only for the wait time you have to endure for a simple checkup which in other clinics takes 15 minutes. The staff and doctor Zhang are nice and friendly, but it’s literally 1.5 hours of waiting for a checkup that should take less than 15 min.
I really dont know why so many bad reviews my journey was really good at this clinic. Dr Zhang its the best in the world. I am pregnant whit twins boys that was my dream and new hope make it happen 🤗
My experience was great at new hope fertility. I went in a little discouraged from a previous doctor, but walk out of new hope happy and filled with hope. I am excited to start a this new journey, and praying for the best possible out come.
I do not recommend this facility. The level of care is consistently impersonal and the only face to face you ever have with a doctor is the day of your retrieval. Many of the nurses consistently bruised me on the blood draws because they went so fast. I wish I had known this prior to selecting this facility. There is a high chance that because of the lack of patient care, my retrieval was unsuccessful because they missed a key hormone level that was consistently all over the place, which I only learned the day of my retrieval. 10/10 do not recommend.
This review is based solely off of their scheduling procedures and how office personnel handled my incident. I booked an initial virtual consult online with Dr. Zeitoun. I picked a specific date and time that worked with my work schedule. I received a confirmation text two days prior with the time and date selected. After navigating their horrendous online patient forms request I completed them the day prior and received another text confirming my appointment. On the day of my appointment, about 4 hours prior I receive a call from the office to confirm my appointment for the following day. I said no my appointment is today not tomorrow, I specifically picked today because of work. That person then told me someone from scheduling would contact me prior to my 2pm appointment. That call never came so at about 1:30 I called to inquire what was going on and was put on hold for about 30 min before I finally hung up. At 3pm an hour after my scheduled time someone finally calls me and proceeds to tell me that my appointment was scheduled for the next day, I tell her I have 3 separated texts confirming that it was today and she says well there’s nothing we can really do about it now and would I like to reschedule? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Very unprofessional office, if the initial consultation was handled this way, I can’t even imagine what other appointments are like!
Calling the clinic is a pain…they will connect you to a line and it will go to voicemail saying leave a voicemail and we call you in 48 hours.. They never call.Customer sevice sucks..Update: Not easy to talk to your doctor. They ask you to sign documents they said it was explained to us but not really explained. You will find yourself lost in the process and hard to talk to your doctor to find answer to some questions.Patients are treated as a number and like in conveyor belts. The billing department is hard to contact. It is frustrating to be dealing with hard journey on IVF and a non-responsive healthcare provider. SmH! This place is like a FACTORY and you are on the conveyor belt.
Dr. Jennifer was amazing. She was able to tell me the best route to take ttc. She was caring, empathetic, and made me feel as though I wasn’t just a number but I was a human being. I am so excited about my journey with her.
I switched from RMA to this facility and couldnt have been happier ! I dont understand all these negative reviews regarding poor communication. The communication through the portal was A1. after every monitoring appointment, just as I was told, a nurse reached out to me with further instructions on medication and when I should come in again. Ive dealt with every department in new hope fertility. The front desk is very personable and professional, theres easy instruction from check in to monitoring. The waiting room was very clean and tidy. The ultrasound technicians were always so kind and answered any questions asked regarding the imaging. Dr Zhang was my main Dr. He is very informative and goes off of a more natural approach. I mentioned some procedures to him and he gave me his feedback with the advice of always going a more natural route. He didnt try to convince me to do conventional ivf or anything I didnt need to do, so he clearly isnt trying to just take your money like I saw in some other reviews. I saw two infertility specialists before Dr Zhang and was extremely pleased with him. On my egg retrieval day and fresh embryo day I had Dr. Kaled ZeitounDr Khaled Zeitoun perform my procedures. I was awake for the egg retrieval and he made me feel very relaxed and assured me everything was going to be fine and that I was doing fine (even when I was very squeamish). I forgot to mention Herminio in the lab was extremely kind as well ! All in all new hope is most def a great facility and Im happy I went through with my mini ivf with them ! Would highly recommend!
Very thoughtful and empathetic to my needs. The nurses and doctors are great. Dr. Z really knows his stuff and take careful consideration in helping me to achieve my goals and dreams of motherhood. I know Im in good hands.
This was my first time ever doing an IVF cycle. The experience was new, exciting, and the staff made me very comfortable during my egg retrieval, transfer, blood draws, and constant ultrasounds. They responded immediately through email. They are quick !! Monitoring is btwn 6:45am- 12pm; best to come promptly early as they can get busy. But results immediately returned within 2 hours with next instructions. If you have questions and concerns they do answer you. You must SPEAK UP. As this was my very first time I had several concerns. Nurse Joanna Tudisco was the BEST!!!! A blessing. She was so compassionate and understanding. There are several friendly faces. Dr. Zeitoun. Performed my hysterscopy and was wonderful with checking in and calling for any concerns with my treatment progress. The lab do take awhile to respond on email but there really busy and do reply in full details with your questions. I transferred 2 embryos. And now pregnant with a singleton. The staff really help me to expedite my needs and wishes.Thank You 🙏 will be back in the future to try for more.
I am currently a patient here. I have been trying to get in touch with the billing department for THREE WEEKS now, to no avail. My embryo is ready for testing but cant move forward in the process until my current invoice is taken care of. In addition, I found out from their financing partners that they are now in bankruptcy proceedings and anyone who is using financing will now have to pay for all services out of pocket upfront because the financing companies can no longer pay them, however New Hope has not informed any of their patients or merchant services. I am currently in talks a out potential litigation and will request my embryos/ samples to be sent to another facility. This experience started off stressful already, but now is a NIGHTMARE. BEWARE and STAY AWAY.
In general the facilities are good. I had clarified from the beginning that we are here just for basic tests whether we can get pregnant or not if we try naturally. But the staff kept on insisting to put us into a program of regular monitoring while the medical experts had told us that everything is fine. If I ask any questions on why unnecessary tests, the receptionist would say, “you want to get pregnant, right?” That was beyond the point. They are not God. We can get pregnant ourselves. We are there to get guidance, not to be treated like babies ourselves. I didn’t feel the compassion or an effort to listen to a patient as far as staff is concerned. As for Dr. Zhang, he met us in the beginning but disappeared when we actually needed him to review the test results. Also, they don’t follow up after test results are out, no explanation of results. When I called them, they said we had scheduled for you yesterday, you missed it. I didn’t receive any email from them. Besides they are supposed to ask a patient before scheduling and not just give any random slot. This happened multiple times. I don’t understand how someone can lie so blatantly and being so rude in a country like America especially in NYC. Last but not the least, I told them from the very beginning, and on multiple occasions, that I can go ahead only if they verify that my insurance is good for their services, and that they must send the bills to insurance company. They just say, yes it a good, for the sake of it but don’t check it before confirming the appointment. Even after the appointment, I had their billing person to go online and verify that my insurance is good. Yet they didn’t send my bills to the insurance company. They try their best to delay sending bills to customer and avoid sending it to insurance companies. Now after many weeks, I see one bill on my insurance portal, but other bills are missing. I am sure that they want to delay it long enough so that insurance company doesn’t accept it anymore. It’s nice that they are helping people have babies, but really they exploit people, doing whatever they like simply because they have power upon couples being desperate for having babies. I don’t know if it is a fault of Dr. Zhang or staff, but there is clearly a problem in how they function. If I call their billing department, no one picks up, their voice mail box is full always.
Dr. Jennifer Kulp-Makarov was so kind and answered all our questions throughly. We looked at reviews prior to making the appointment and unlike the experience others portrayed ours has been perfect! The office staff was prompt and very professional. We will be moving forward with our IVF journey with them.
I have never written an online review in my life as I am one to be extremely patient with customer service, however my experience at New Hope was atrocious. The miscommunication and lack of communication has been unbelievable and disrespect for me as an out of pocket patient was shameful. I was given misinformation about an appointment, charged a fee for the appointment that didnt include what I was told would be included. I then was told I would be given a refund/credit which didnt happen and I was charged again. No one responds to my emails or calls ever. In addition, the doctor suggested unnecessary procedures. If you have insurance coverage, definitely go elsewhere. If not, I understand the financial piece, but you should explore the other comparable clinics. They dont care about patients or their reputation clearly.
I have had failed IVFs in other clinics and I truly regret that I hadnt come to New Hope sooner. I dont understand why there are negative reviews because the service that I have received from New Hope is absolutely wonderful. Their staff is so responsive and there is also timely response if I ever have any questions. I noticed that there are complaints about never receiving replies in the message centre. The trick is NOT to send your email in the message centre. If you send your email directly from your email box, you will receive an message back very quickly from the nurse team (their reply is always in the message centre btw). Today I talked to Dr. Zhang after my monitor and he immediately adjusted my protocol and the new instruction came in within 2 hours of my visit. I truly hope that I would graduate from New Hope this time!
Merve Karga is very unprofessional. Friday 16th 2:30pm I was supposed to have virtual meeting she never attended the meeting nor did she inform me why she couldn’t make. It wasn’t until I emailed her Monday 19th 2023 she tells me she had an unforeseen circumstance. We reschedule the meeting for 4:30-5:30pm. The clinic closes at 3pm it wasn’t until me going online I found out they’re closed. This is very very very unprofessional! I moved around my schedule for this meeting. Very unprofessional Merve Karga no apology for the inconvenience
UPDATE: I have since returned and the level of care has increased. A much better experience, clean and affordable.Believe the other reviews. I went here because I wanted to see if I were pregnant. It is all a sales pitch. It’s been a troubling 2 months and this place could care less about my journey. I saw the doctor and he just talk and talks and asks no questions to see what we have been through or want. We had to cut him off to speak. The consultation is a waste of time and money. They know nothing until the results come in.
I originally spoke with Dr Zhang via Zoom early last year. However, I had to defer starting treatment at that time. No one from the office responded to my portal emails sent late last year. Finally after many calls and messages, I spoke to one of the NPs and had my questions answered and made plans to move forward late January through March. I was told to continue to email via the portal. I emailed 10 days ago to try to arrange for treatment next month and have not received a response back. Now I have to scramble and find another clinic if I want to keep same schedule. Maybe one issue is that I am not in New York and there is added difficulty with remote monitoring. Good luck to you who choose this clinic but I will not waste any more of my time. Pay attention to the number of reviews about poor communication!
New Hope Fertility was a complete blessing to my husband and I. We began our fertility journey with testing in Massachusetts and struggled with doctors being cold, disconnected, and motivated by money. Though we live in New Hampshire I came across New Hope and had a consultation and instantly knew this was the clinic I wanted to be part of. We drove several times from NH to NYC to begin our Mini IVF journey. They were worth all the long hours of driving. The team is so welcoming, supportive and knowledgeable. I hope every woman undergoing fertility treatment has a team that makes them feel as safe and cared for as I did!Our first frozen embryo transfer was a success and I will forever be grateful to New Hope. Because of them we get to start our little family!🤍
Thus far my experience with NHFC has been terrible...my initial consult and planning was great! I felt sure amd confident in them! Since starting my IVF cycle with them, these are my experiences:1. Billing: Im self pay: they email me a list of billing fees and expect me to figure out, on my own, how much 1 ivf cycle will cost2. Communication: at first it was great, now midway through a cycle that is clearly not getting optimal results, I cant get a real person on the phone! Im constantly told well have a nurse call you back...never happens!3.I understand that Im participating in a new type of low dose remote, at-home ivf process, however no baseline sonos or labs were done...when I call and say I have my monthly and get told we dont have anyone to talk to you right now just go for your sono/labs tomorrow (which is now today) I call to get results and get told someone will call you back NEVER HAPPENED! I got an email to continue one med and someone will be in touch tomorrow...I have questions !!Summary: I would not recommend! This is my 4th cycle at a second clinic ,that I left for the same reasons I left the first one I went to...there is no communication!! This place is toying with my mind, my heart, and my body...Im going to give them the benefit of the doubt and just assume they had been really busy the last couple of days stay tuned i will be further reviewing for the next few days!
New Hope Fertility is just wow🤩 amazing! So far a wonderful experience; the patient coordinator & Doctor were extremely nice, they immediately got the ball rolling on a treatment plan for me!! Affordable too!!I found them on TikTok & IG. Check them out!!!!
So overall I would say they are a good clinic with a few very key points lacking. For reference I was an outside monitoring patient so the only time i went into the office was for my egg retrieval.1. I had the same issue with not being able to reach someone by phone (and later getting charged for just having a question hen i did get through) but found out that the nurses will respond to email way quicker, often in only a few hours, and emails were free. So as much as I wish I could have spoken to a live person, email got the job done fine.2. The actual pre procedure area was where I had the most issues. Now, I am a very nervous person and for reasons was told I needed to get off my SSRI. I also have high functioning asperbers syndrome. I sent a whole email about the top 3 things they should know about me to the nurses about 4 days prior to my egg retrieval. I know they have a job to do but at one point i literally had one of the nurses say , you cant cry at everything mama. You have too many hard times ahead of you for that. That was a direct quote she said as i was crying while getting my IV placed. I had cried after every injection. I am terified of needles. But i get through them. When that nurse said what she did i felt like i just had to sit down, shut up, and wait my turn. There were a million other things she could have said to be reassuring but didnt.3. Lastly, I did not appreciate the way they treated my husband and the lack of communication. He was left for about 2 hours wondering what was going on with me. When i came out of anesthesia and asked for someone to tell him I was out of the procedure and awake, they said they would ...but didnt. My husband said no one came out or anything to let him know i had made it okay. This was my first anesthetic event and we were both nervous. This will still be our clinic for future transfers and they are currently storing our embryos...we just wish they would have been a bit more considerate when it came to comunication...and that one nurse was just rude and dishartening. But i cannot fault an entire clinic for one bad nurse my actual doctor was very nice and careing the three times I met her.
I had my initial consultation with NP Mariya Shimonov. She explained the process and told me the steps I would need to take since I’m an out-of-town patient. She was pleasant and answered all questions I had. I look forward to working with New Hope Fertility on my journey to motherhood.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WASTE OF TIME.Applied to be a donor . They got back to me months later by text (not email) which was ok in the beginning but later on felt unprofessional. First, they asked me for more photos of me which I sent to the email they provided and never heard back from them. Two months later they ask again for more photos. I tell them that I had already sent them and asked if they need more . They say they found them and that now I’m good for a medical screening . They provide a date and time and ask if that works for me. I ask if there is any other appointment available and they never responded, so I reckon that was the only appointment available.A day before the appointment I try to confirm and they never answered, so I was not sure if I still had to go, so I call, I explain the situation and I say that their texts and lack of responses feel unprofessional and the customer service representative says that she’ll transfer me to the correct department. I guess she didn’t cause the call ended like a minute after and nobody even answered. I call again, and the automatic message says that my wait time to the next available agent is less than one minute . And in less than one minute I get a recorded message saying that all representatives are not available for the moment and to leave my telephone number and reason for calling and they’ll get back to me (of course they won’t) .
New hope is a very professional facility with friendly staff. Dr.Zhang was patient, transparent with all the treatment plan and provided options, which I think is the most important quality when it comes to healthcare service. Overall experience was pleasant and the process was efficient. The clinic environment is clean and with lots preventive measures for covid-19 situation (such as seat arrangement in waiting area). I also love the fact that they are located at Columbus circle, I always take a short walk in Central Park after each routine monitoring.
Terrible clinic; a money-making, review-hoarding factory that doesnt seem to care about your well-being and fertility needs. I had been visiting a few clinics in the area and decided to also go to New Hope for a free consultation. Compared to all of the other clinics Ive been to and ultimately the one I decided on going with, New Hope was by far the worst. The clinic is huge, the staff seems impersonal, and the wait times are long. Afterwards, they aggressively sent many followups for feedback to get me to sign up with their clinic even though I was still deciding on which clinic to go with. Then just yesterday I surprisingly received a huge bill for my free consultation. I called the office, billing was unavailable and their voicemail box was full so I couldnt leave a message. I called several times with no avail. After many attempts, I was able to get the bill removed after they admitted to their error. So to sum up, do yourself a favor and do your research, meet a few doctors elsewhere (assess experience, specializations, bedside manner, and fit) - and dont come here. They methods are cutting-edge, read: not thoroughly tested and somewhat controversial even though they love showcasing their interviews on the news and media. Their staff is highly impersonal and disorganized. They dont take any insurance and caters primarily to high end international customers who can easily shell out the money. If youre looking for a caring fertility clinic (and NYC has quite a few of them, Im currently very happy with the one I chose) with a great track record and personalized experience during what is generally a very stressful but hopefully worthwhile experience in your life, AVOID NEW HOPE FERTILITY AT ALL COST.
Very personable, cared about my concerns and showed empathy for my situation. Helped address my issues and connected me with a live person. I could feel her smile through the phone. Excellent customer service skills. She is a gem.
As I sit here, (42 years old and 7 months pregnant) writing this I still CAN NOT believe it! When my boyfriend and I started this journey to have a baby 2 years ago we did get pregnant naturally fast however it resulted in a loss.As we spoke to doctors we learned that at my age of 40 and a half at the time egg quality played a role in this and our likelihood of having a baby was slim. We started seeking out fertility treatments and at the first place we went to the doctor tried to push donor eggs saying we had a 5% chance with IVF using my eggs! My AMH was like .015 and high FSH! However we refunded to give up!Upon doing research we came across New Hope and quickly went for a consultation January 2022 with Dr. Zhang. He explained that I was a candidate for “natural IVF” and never once mentioned donor eggs. We started treatment there, did a few retrievals that resulted in only 1 or 2 eggs (as expected) however we were making embryos! In November we transferred a frozen embryo we had from June and this is when we got our positive pregnancy test! Fast forward I am due in July with a healthy baby boy and we owe it all to Dr. Zhang, Dr. Liu, Dr. Ziton and the nurses and staff for all their hard work and dedication to helping us achieve our goal!I would highly recommend New Hope to all women who were told they had low chances of pregnancy! Forever grateful!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
An awesome experience, especially since my wife and I had been to other locations/doctors. Everyone one was courteous and professional, they answered any questions or concerns we had, and even spoke with their billing department on the 1st day. Looking forward to working with them again
There are no words to describe how grateful we are for everything you have done for us. You have always been kind, caring, and professional. You have a wonderful staff. We always felt we were around people who cared and knew how important this was for us. We are very happy seeing our little miracle grow and excited to finally hold her in February. We will always remember and be grateful for what you do.
I went to this clinic initially as a surrogate in 2018. After the 2nd IVF transfer I had a successful pregnancy. I had an over great experience that time. So I decided to come back for myself. I was having difficulty getting pregnant naturally. This experience has been absolutely devastating. I dished put over $9000 cash (no insurance) just for the egg retrieval process. That was unsuccessful. I’m literally still making payments on something that I have nothing to show for. I had a lot of difficulty with the billing department. I would not get any responses after multiple emails and calls. It was very frustrating. This process has been very emotional especially since it was unsuccessful. They were not very sympathetic. Instead they just kept trying to suck more money from me. I understand this is an expensive process and there are no guarantees however after dishing out so much money they should be more willing to work with you, show compassion, and offer at least 2 try’s for this amount of money. I think this place has went downhill in the last 2 years unfortunately. One good thing is the nurses who work here are very attentive and responsive. As far as my overall experience I’m very sad and disappointed with the process and the outcome.
It was a waste of time, energy and money for me. Yes, the nurses were responsive and the Dr seemed to be willing to help but certain things were not properly explained to me in due time. It`s a big money-making machine & in the end they just shrug their shoulders and say: We are sorry.
I contacted the billing department for two days without any responses despite my more than 20 attempts with messages and voicemails. The clinics really need to rethink the way it is treating its patients—who comes first?!
This place was recommended to me by a close friend who had success with the IVF treatment, so I decided to give it a try. The office is beautiful and relaxing the doctors are nice and so is the staff. However, after several appointments Dr Zeiton recommended IVF treatment, he said it would be the best way for me to conceive. I went with his option, one Saturday I went to my appointment got my blood drawn and did an ultrasound. Usually theyre pretty good with following up on instructions. They usually email you the same day , or the next day latest. I didnt hear from the office for 3 days and I was the one who reached out to them. I asked them why havent they followed up and what my instructions are the nurse just casually said oh because youre pregnant. They didnt bother to tell me at all, I ended up getting pregnant naturally, Im currently 4 and a half months pregnant and doing fine! I cant believe they didnt tell me that I was pregnant what if I didnt follow up?? I wouldnt have known until later!!! Didnt go back after this...
I had to pleasure of visiting NHF for the first time yesterday. I was really impressed with the professionalism of the staff. My wait time was excellent, I was not rushed and each person I had an encounter with took the time to explain each step thoroughly. I left the office feeling very relaxed and clear on my next steps. We had some preliminary tests done and we were informed of the results the same day. What impressed me the most was the fact that Dr. Zhang called later on that day to explain everything to me and discuss our next steps. He was so humble and patient and seemed to genuinely care about his patients. I think we’ve found a good fit for us. Looking forward to a stress free journey at NHF.
The doctor we had was wonderful but that’s the only positive I have. The staff is uninformed and awful. We had a plan with our doctor for 3months and no one followed up with us ever, I was constantly chasing answers. I had to refuse unnecessary testing several times from the nurses that the dr told us we did not have to do/were cost effective. I had my tubes scanned to see if they were clear, which they were, but was told by another dr that ran the test my uterus was heart shaped and I’d need further testing(more money). I sent the scans to my endo dr who I trust ver much who said there was absolutely nothing wrong. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid this dishonest money pit.Update: As you can see they’ve replied below. My username is my name and they could have reached out directly upon seeing my review but instead decided on a performative public reply asking me to reach out to them. No thank you.
If I could give zero starts I would. They will rob you blind. No one explains anything to you and they charge you for things after the fact instead of explaining cost upfront. I got charge $95 to ask a question over the phone. When they suggested I set u the call and never told me I’d be charged. Ghetto, unprofessional staff, all they care about is senseless monitoring to charge you. Pick any other clinic. If anyone claims they had a good experience it’s because they got pregnant and that is clouding their judgement. Worse mistake I ever made.
In the beginning, it was swell. They were really informative and communication was on point. They were straight forward with their billing and all the steps each procedure was. Out of the 4 months experience I had with them, only the first 2 were great. The later two were really upsetting. We choose IUI and was told that doing 2-3 cycles was all we needed. Me and my husband listen to their directions to the T to make sure we were doing everything correctly, but a lot of their directions were last minute (which ended up paying more $$ out of pocket for last minute prescriptions). Along with that, even though we had insurance that would cover the procedures, they still found things that we had to pay that insurance wouldnt cover. I was surprised especially since in the beginning, billing was really insistent that insurance would cover anything and there would be no out-of-pocket expenses (during your first consultation, they check your insurance policy to make sure you can afford/cover it)We did 4 full cycles and it came out a bust. After each cycle, we always ask what more could we have done or is there something we can fix, and their answer was nothing. I asked if we are healthy and if there are some underlying issues. They said nothing. I honestly thought for a fertility clinic, its odd that you say we are healthy and nothing is wrong, but nothing is working. The weirder part was after our 4th try, me and my partner decided to stop and take a break since it wasnt working. They insisted that we keep trying. I asked for their reasoning for trying again and they said we just should. The last two cycles of IUI, there has been a lack of care and communication through out the process. Before, they were really responsive with email messages that usually come before EOD, but now I got nothing. Sometimes someone would call but most times I have to reach out to them to get info. And sometimes that doesnt even work either (they would say a nurse would call me but half the time they do). And then there billing, where you cant leave a voicemail because they never clean their voicemail, they dont respond to your emails, and when you call another line and tell them that you been trying to get in contact with billing, they would just take a message and have them call back (never did).TL;DR- it felt like a bait and switch, just to have you there and suck all the money they can from you. I dont think I would recommend to anyone unless you are super desperate and dont care how you conceive your child.
As an egg donor, I know a lot about different fertility agencies and what goes on from the inside. This is so far THE BEST fertility clinic and egg bank to go to. At the other clinic I went to they retrieved 17 eggs and only two of them fertilized. On top of that they were very slow and didnt seem like they wanted to help me. At this clinic, it was the opposite. They retrieved 28 eggs! Were able to work around my schedule when I needed to draw blood and such. My coordinator was super nice and understanding. She wanted to make sure I was feeling okay and still getting to school on time after morning checkups. And in the end, I know the couple that ends up using my eggs will be paying less here than the other clinic! You dont always get what you pay for, this clinic is the best option. Trust
Very unprofessional and very irresponsible. My girlfriend and I came to this hospital for treatment. This hospital highly recommended genetic testing. At the time, it said the charge was $300, but when I received the bill, it was $349. I filled in the bill payment information. , I also successfully deducted the money, but I still kept sending me SMS messages about unpaid bills. I tried to appeal via email, but unfortunately there was no result. I didn’t reply to the email at all. I decided to call to communicate, only waiting endlessly for transfer Phone calls and all kinds of excuses. When my girlfriend called, I said that my girlfriend was not qualified and must be called by me. When I called, I said that I was not qualified and must be called by my girlfriend. We both It is the party, who is qualified? Finding the staff of New Hope Hospital is also shirking. The staff of New Hope Hospital only cares about whether the patient has paid for the financial department before the treatment, and the follow-up problems arising from the intermediary services provided are all shirk. Don’t come to this hospital, this hospital. A star is not worth it!
I spoke with someone today and so far so good. Let’s see how my physical appointment goes. I’ve seen some negative posts. Let’s see how positive I can make the next post!
I cannot stress enough what a bad experience we had with this clinic. We had a lovely consultation with a doctor as prospective patients. We chose him deliberately because of his knowledge and seemingly lovely and attentive bedside manner. Following our decision to go with New Hope, however, we literally never saw or spoke with him again. He turned out to be little more than a salesman. Our entire case was handled by nurses and embryologist we had never met. We rarely spoke to the same people twice. Little was explained to us. We were constantly in a panic trying to get ahold of staff to make sure the timing of medications was correct. Several mistakes were made with logistics that almost cost us the whole cycle. The procedure itself was very painful and after a complication I was left in a recovery bay with no instructions and no help, bleeding into a chair. No medical follow up was done post procedure either. Worst of all, none of our embryos made it to the blastocyst stage and we found out via a two line email. No one ever called to speak to us about it, or any other component of the process, and we were never contacted again by the clinic in any way. Please protect your emotions, your future offspring, and your wallet and seek a more competent and humane clinic.
Since my voice and concerns are not being heard at NHFC in 59 Columbus Circle, I’ll leave this here so you can help resolve this injustice and senseless act to a patient like me that has been through multiple retrievals for the past year. Never have I ever been told I have to pay $100 to have a quick talk with dr.Zhang during my monitoring appointments until 2 days ago. I am aware ONLY consultations are charged $100 but now for a quick talk during my monitoring I will be charge $100 (which last no more then 3 minutes. It’s bizzare and quiet frankly unethical, that i cant even see or speak to my doctor dr. John Zhang during my checkups. As a patient I have concerns I wish my doctor to answer. Ita imperative that I have my doctor build a relationship with me that reassures me that I’m investing in the right clinic and putting myself in honest hands.I have invested my money, time, heart and soul in these difficult treatments. I should have the right to see my provider dr.john Zhang to have my concerns answered which would last less then 3 minutes. Please don’t apologize in your reply but rather help us patients with this insensible charge. We pay a lot of money already for our treatments and you (staff) are telIing me I can’t ever see my doctor unless I pay $100 during my monitoring, which I already pay $800?If anyone is going through the same thing please speak up, this is unjust, unethical, insensitive and taking advantage of our need for help.
Very professional and very nice to each of the nurses in there. i felt supportive and relax in the clinic. hopefully i would have good news end in New hope fertility. i always ask question in the session of monitoring and the technician are always willing to tell me and talk to me. thanks all the wonderful staff
I enjoyed my fertility journey because the doctors meant business and the staff were all pleasant to deal with. I loved the free dinner mints. I walked out of there pregnant. The waiting area can get crowded at times (before Covid). I wasn’t too happy about the traveling especially with those early morning appointments but it was worthwhile. My baby boy is going to be 3yrs old this year. I do wish there were doctors that monitor you once you do become pregnant and stay in touch throughout the pregnancy. I hated explaining my fertility journey to new doctors because I had to go through similar things over again.
I am not interested in using your services at all. When signing on to get services we are told our doctor will be Zhang. We only briefly spoke with him once on zoom. Since, we have been paying for nurses and practitioners we do not know. It is frustrating that you try to use a place that will have the professionals you need only for them to treat you like a statistic and toss you around to people you did not sign up to work with. Even if screening is done by nurses. The procedure should be taken on by the doctor that I signed up with. I stopped going because I refuse to pay for something and not get the doctor I originally thought I was signing up for
The facility is very, very clean and comfortable. The staff members that I encountered also was very friendly and professional. Dr. Zhang made me feel very comfortable and give me good advice and I like the plan that he care up with for me It was like he knew exactly what I wanted to do.. He is very easy to talk too and I can see why he came highly recommended. I left there feeling joyful and excited.
I was soooo angry today. I went to the office for check up today, and was supposed to get the result from the doctor. Usually, they will let me know after few hours. I kept on calling them at least three times and they told me I still need to wait. For the last time, I called them again, the girl picked up phone said the doctor is checking now, some body will let me know soon. They didnt call me back and when I called for the last time, I found out that the office was closed. I ended up emailing them and finally got the result and found out I have to go in again tomorrow. I know this is not the doctors fault and it was due to the staff, but something like this happens on a regular basis. The main point is that if I didnt keep up with everything, I would have missed an appointment and possibly wasted time and money for everything I had done so far. I have to keep on reminding them about what I am supposed to be having. I havent had IVF done yet so I dont know how good the treatment is, but the way office is run could be better managed. My husband is a doctor in private practice and he told me never to trust staff in a large practice to do follow up perfectly, that I have to make sure everything is being done correctly. He was right.
Women deserve the truth. The numbers presented by this clinic, the information they provide does not provide a remotely accurate picture of their capabilities and your potential results. I know a number of women who have been through cycles here. Average retrieval results are at 70%. This clinics rate among these women is less than 40%. I visited for egg freezing to preserve fertility and was able to retrieve 24 eggs from a clinic in another state. New Hope retrieved only 6. There were failures on their part at every step of the process. They are a factory that runs hundreds of women through each day and collects money on promises pointed at their new hope for the future. This doesnt even begin to speak to my actual experience. Please stay far away from this clinic! i cannot describe how horrible my experience has been. there is no communication and the women coming through are treated like cattle. theyre numbers are exaggerated and they occlude crucial information. its been extraordinarily stressful. the entire experience was marked by anxiety. theyve made critical mistakes every step of the way. they ignored my schedule (though it was clearly mapped out) and scheduled me for necessary monitoring when i was out of town. they failed to order my prescriptions. they kept me on drugs I didnt need and failed to transition me to others i did need.know that they do not have an interest in your swift and comprehensive success. It is in their interest financially that you return for more treatments/cycles. It is important to understand this.they have toyed with my schedule, my money and more importantly, my health and my body. please. women, mothers deserve so much better than this treatment. There are many other clinics that can provide the care and attention you need and will make sure you get the results you want without leading you through unnecessary/repeated procedures.
I have all great things to say about New Hope Fertility Center. All their staff are extremely helpful and empathetic to your situation. I have had multiple ivf cycles with them. I recently had to do outside monitoring because I moved out of state but I still wanted to work with them and even doing outside monitoring they were great and so helpful getting everything done from a far. Thank you New Hope for everything.Ps. They even work with you financially if thats something you need help with
They don’t care about their patients they care just about money. I did two transfers and both failed after that ,they ask me to remove my Fallopian tube . However they new from beginning that I have infection in my Fallopian tube . After the first transfer they should’ve tell me about that instead of doing the second transfer and the worst thing is after the second pregnancy test was negative they send me another doctor instead of my doctor and he gaves me his address for his office in another location . They took advantage and they send me to another location. This is unfair my doctor didn’t even try to talk to me and explain what happen. I was in that facility for 9 month
Ive had a fantastic experience at NHFC! I couldnt be in better hands. It runs very efficiently, Ive never had to wait more than 15 minutes. The staff is friendly and professional. The monitoring results are always emailed same day, Ive asked nurses many questions and never had any issues with communication.Dr. Zhang obviously has a lot of patients but hes been as personally attentive as can be expected, Even call me back to clarified some questions..Thank you NHFC to help me make my dreams come true !!! I could not be more grateful, Now I am a mom of 2 wonderful sons. TWO success treatment at this place.
Experience: Everything people said about being a number and lack of communication is true. I thought this place had a good system but I was wrong. They are more concerned about getting your money than providing exceptional customer service. 99% you will never see the doctor and only communicate with nurses. Embryo was supposed to be sent for testing and was told to wait a few weeks so we waited about 4l3 weeks. Then we ask whats was the results and they did not know what was wrong but gave an excuse that bill for testing was not cleared so they never sent it for testing. No email or phone call was received about saying billing was not clear and im sure they used that as an excuse to cover their mistake in their system. Experience here is not great and needs alot of improvement. AVOID this place if you can!
I visited New Hope for 7 months and the doctor assured me I would have a successful pregnancy. He said if one thing dont work he will try other ways to make it work. He did nothing like that, all what they care about is to take all your insurance money and when it is exhausted they go to your personal savings. They are a bunch of thrives, take your money and do not deliver. I am very disappointed with them and would suggest that no one goes there.Trust me they took all my money and left me broke with nothing. Very bad clinic, do not know what they are doing, go elsewhere
I was overall impressed by their facility and their resources to do labs and ultrasounds in-house. I am traveling from a different state to be in NYC for my appointments so making the best use of my time here was very important. I felt like they really valued my time and we were able to get lots done in a span of one day with multiple appointments.
Was told to check them out by a friend that heard good things about NHFC. Went despite friend never going firsthand. Felt very hopeful from the doctor’s encouraging words, though he oddly lied and said he knew our friend, that had never been there. He said anything is possible and we can have a kid. Then he said bye after 15 minutes because he had a busy schedule. We were hopeful. We were told to go to financial department and got the financial advisor that showed us the breakdown of costs that were about $25k per try. No guarantees. So we left with less hope and $350 less for a consultation that really just lead to showing the true costs. Then we got a surprise bill out of nowhere for another $250?! My advice is find some other place that doesn’t just put you through a revolving $ door.
I recommend NHFC to everyone. Dr. Zeitoun was extremely professional and patient with us during our initial appointment. He took time to understand our concerns and preferences and together we created a plan to build our family. We have two beautiful baby girls thanks to NHFC! I highly recommend NHFC as this is the only fertility clinic that tailors the treatment to your specific needs. (Other places Ive spoken with have you feeling like your on a conveyor belt with a one-size fits all approach that feels very impersonal.)
Very bad communication issues. Everything is communicated through email with delays and without clarification sometimes. Takes forever for a simple question to be answered especially with the billing and prescription departments. 1 year passed, $50K+ gone, numerous retrievals and 2 transfers with PGS normal embryos, I was still not pregnant. I am now 4 months pregnant with another fertility center with just one transfer. I actually feel bad leaving a bad review here since they do have some really good employees there. But at the end of the day its the result that matters. I do not think New Hope tailor their programs to meet each individual patients needs.
This Place is the Worse office to every go looking for IFV Questions- all they care about the Money- they do not bill your insurance properly and leave you the bill. I called them several times to send the bill to the insurance company - they did not. NOW I have to pay. Just a bunch a of lazy people work here and money hungry- they like the rich people only, who pay cash only - Be very careful with this place. Zero stars
I have gone to another well known clinic and they treat you like numbers and probabilities. I end up going to New Hope from someone else suggestion and couldn’t be happier. Today I am a proud mom of two healthy kids and couldn’t have done if it wasn’t for Dr. Zhang. Yes he says the true and doesn’t sugar coat anything. But I rather know my chances and what would work for me than wasting 3 years going to the well know clinic with no results
Horrible clinic. There is zero listening to the client. I was a surrogate and they treated me horribly. The doctor was extremely rude and uneducated. The clinic lies to get surrogates to sign on. When you try to discuss the issue and provide science based articles. They refuse to read them or listen. The doctor will call you but talk over you. He pushed two embryos on a proven surrogate. Waiting to see what complications arise. Horrible horrible clinic!
I am 41 years old with PCOS. I went through 3 failed cycles at RMA and had a hard time with the amount of medication. I tried CCRM after and did not return after 1 cycle. I was not going to continue trying but found Mini IVF through some research and decided to book a consultation with Dr. Zhang. New Hope was welcoming and very easily accessible. We discussed my possibilities and Mini IVF is the perfect fit. His support team has been great and since my insurance does not cover fertility, the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend New Hope and their approach to fertility!
If I could give no stars I would. This place only cares about getting money, you go in for your treatment and that’s is it no communication no nothing they just say we will email you on your next step then email you hours later with what medications you must take no one explains what is going on nor does your doctor talk to you and if you do have a sit down they charge you 100 bucks. Been going here since early August and still taking the same medication went in a few weeks ago and one doc said your ready for implantation so he did a water sono which of course is money then prescribed me more medication when I went back the next time they say oh no you are not ready start taking more medication it’s just a game to these people. If I could find a way to sue them for wasting my time and money I would do it in a heart beat. If you are thinking about coming here for treatment don’t do it. These people are a scam they are only in it for the money.
The financial dept of new hope is a disaster. I got a bill statement and shows I have payment severiously past due but I never got the statement before. I tried to contact them for details for three days but never got any response. Also, the attitude is disgusting seems like the patient owns them millions dollars! The communication between patients and doctors are also weak. I am failed for three times IVF cycle .Do Not recommend.
If you paying out of pocket, be aware. They’re explanation and billing is deceptive and untrustworthy. A comprehensive and agreeable approach was presented in my first visit and then towards the middle end of the cycle, they’ve blind-sided and switch-and-bait the billing. There are multiple personnel in the billing dept and each of them had a different quote. Ultimately, the trust and assurance was lost, so before my first treatment, I discontinued with this clinic.
After 7 yrs of trying on our own , I never thought I could get pregnant again and we are now expecting a baby boy ! First we had a consultation back in December, then the egg retrieval and testing of my embryos. The clinic is open 7 days a week , early mornings never missing a day of work , very clean & very professional staff . IVF with new hope is affordable & best decision we ever made .My partner & I took a few months after egg retrieval to relax & find the best time to start the process of IVF . We started monitoring in April and my protocol was to follow my natural cycle . I then met with Dr. Zhang and we discussed the process for my first frozen embryo transfer but unfortunately the first transfer did not stick. We felt the timing was off & so we met again with DR Zhang and we agreed the next cycle to do an ERA .Dr. Zhang listened to my questions and gave me confidence to do another test before trying again .After the Test results , we found out the timing for my next FET . I met with Dr. Lui who would be doing my transfer and he made the process absolutely incredible. Day of transfer he explained everything he was doing and seeing . The compassion and understanding they have for their patients are absolutely incredible. They work so hard and are amazing at what they do . I appreciate new hope fertility nurses , staff , lab , doctors for helping us grow our family !. ** being that this is the only facility I have been to , I did learn you need to do your research and educate yourself with the process and ask questions for clarity and peace of mind . The nurses are easy to communicate with and made this process easier. With that said , I highly recommend choosing new hope fertility!
Do Not Go There! They are too busy to answer your calls or read your emails. You are just a number there. The first appointment was with Dr. Zhang. I admired how organized they were because he had an assistant to take notes and the notes would be emailed to me. But when I saw the notes, I was very disappointed. 95% of the conversation was not recorded - it only told you what kind of treatment would be. I was also impressed that he said someone would follow up with me 2 weeks later to see if I had any questions. Nobody called me. I prepared questions and waited for 2 months. Then I followed up with them. I was then told the following up was not necessary and I was urged to start the treatment as soon as possible. I somehow agreed to start and they gave me an off-site monitoring order to do labs and ultrasound as a base line. I told her I was on NuvaRing (one kind of birth control) , but she made a mistake by ordering the lab order when I was on birth control. I had the phone call with her late in the afternoon and the order must be done the next day. Not knowing any organizations could do off-site monitoring, I called different places the next morning. I was able to get the lab done but couldnt find any places to do U/S. That day, I called them and emailed them many times asking them to fax the order to different placesbecause some places asked for that. But nobody responded. At noon, I called the office again and was able to speak to one lady, but she told me she was not responsible for off-side monitoring and the one who was responsible was out at lunch and told me she would call me later that day. Nobody called back. The next day or so, I was able to talk to a nurse. And she told me my blood test was wasted because I was on birth control. She put it in a way that their mistake was nothing and people can blood tests anytime they want. She told me to remove the NuvaRing immediately and go to get another lab done again. I refused to do so based on the planned cycle starting time. She went to ask the doctor and came back and told me I could remove that a week later to avoid one extra period. After careful considerations, I stopped seeing them because stress is the last you want when going through those expensive cycles.
They fertilized almost none of my eggs, unlike other fertility centers which fertilized a quite large percentage. But worse, their billing department may be the worst I have every seen, and thats an accomplishment. First, they accused me of not paying things that I had paid, because they couldnt read the records right. Then I set up a payment plan to pay down my balance. Despite regularly paying the agreed upon amount, they sent me a notice that my account was going into collections. I still hope that when I actually track them down (they dont tend to return phone calls), we will figure this out. Im not optimistic.Run, run, run. Do not trust your eggs or your credit score to this place.
Pay attention to all the negative reviews, did you find any similarities? Yup, they treat you like a number, and just want your money. They tested us for things we didn’t even need and billed us for it, never told us what they were doing to us. There were no communication between them. Horrible experience!
Excellent nurses!!!! Having to draw blood almost every day the nurses never hurt me. I felt I was in good hands. Dr. Zhang is an innovative doctor. He thinks outside the box, and gives you options and guides to to the right decision for your treatment. I have my miracle baby because of New Hope. I have tried two other fertility offices and they were a nightmare. New Hope was a dream come true!!!! Thank you to the doctors and the nurses. I am forever grateful!!!!
I just wanted to say my experience was what I was hoping for. Everyone there was so nice and cariing. Calming music was in the background that felt you were at peace with your inner you. . I went to a different fertility center in Long Island and oh boy what a different experience. Over there people treated you like a number, questions like who is next? no greetings, insurance cards, doctor will see you have a seat and the doctor over there was an angry person who had no sympathy at all. No blood work, no sonogram, no nothing just talking. I went from no hope to a new hope. I like everyone here from the girls in the front desk to the people inside the office. I give this experience 4 stars out of 5 because I didn’t get to meet doctor Zhang it was kind of disappointing but his associate was a nice person.
Hi, I was at consultation 1 time at this clinic and at 1st I liked it. But after communication I asked them when I have to come to nyc for shots( IFV eggs freeze) in their clinic, so I can plan it ( I moved for few months from nyc to other state) they answered they will train me how to do needle shot myself:))))(!!!!???? and not need to come to them for that. Now Im doubting that I want to do it with them Im the person far away from medicine, never was interested in it and cant give myself a shot on my own!!!!???? ( I literally not a person who would be able to do such things!? far away and never wanted to be in medicine ever. In the 1st place how you, a doctor/or nurse could even think or offer me to do myself a shot knowing Im not nurse neither have any relation to medicine??!!!! So Im thinking to go elsewhere to do this procedure. btw, whole procedure is around 7K and they offer me to do shot myself??!!!!!)) this is Ridiculous!!!
I did a natural cycle IVF with Dr. Zhang and his team. I live in LA and was an outside monitoring patient but from the initial phone call to inquire about their treatment plans to the day I walked out from my embryo transfer I felt so much peace and confidence. They made it easy for me to be a patient from a distance and answered all my questions regarding the process. When we arrived in NYC for my retrieval I was immediately blown away at the organization and system they had in place for registration, billing, labs, pre op, ect. The facility was kept so nice and clean with a lady who continually kept the coffee and tea fresh with some refreshments. Every staff member I had interactions with greeted me with a smile and seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. The retrieval was very quick with no wait. I felt they made sure I was comfortable and asked if I had any questions before the procedure. The embryologist explained everything she would be doing and that made me feel good. The transfer was a very long long wait. That part wasnt fun because they were down a doctor. Those things are out of anyones control, because lets face it, doctors are people too. I would definitely recommend New Hope if youre considering!!
This have to be the most unprofessional people I’ve ever dealt with!!!!! The nurses have attitudes when your asking questions they should already be telling you!!!! I have to constantly call ask for a email with the next steps on what I should do or what medications to take to not take. My doctor has yet to even consult with me about my progression or my chances all they want to know is if your paying and with that being said yes I’m spending thousands of dollars in a place where your basically a number because all they care about is MONEY it’s sad you would think in a place like this where you are actually paying out of pocket you would get better services this place has exhausted me completely I’m not even sure if this was the right place to come!!!! I want to change my doctor and that is probably a whole different process that I’m sure will be over looked. You go for a visit they come in do whatever it is they have to and just walk out No come back this day they don’t even let you know what’s going on
First time visiting a fertility center 8/19/18 with my husband. Was extremely nervous! Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to explain the office function. Loved everyone and look forward to working with them on hopefully one day having a child! So happy I made a great choice on this facility!
Highly recommend New Hope and Dr. Makarov in particular. Her expertise was so reassuring and I think it truly made such a difference to my stress level and our success to be in the care of a doctor who was so calm, confident and certain about the best course of action, After 2 cycles of IUI where we did not conceive, Dr. Makarov recommended that we consider IVF. The outcome at every stage was better than we had hoped and I really attribute our positive outcome to Dr. Makarovs skill and proficiency. I also loved that I did not get shuttled around to a million different doctors -- I saw Dr. Makarov every single monitoring appointment, which is not the same experience that friends have had at different clinics. The nursing staff is awesome (Talia is the absolute best!) and kind and I never experienced any lapse in communication. After every single monitoring appointment I received an email with my levels and instructions. The one time I emailed the nursing staff on the weekend and didnt get an immediate response, the eventual reply on Monday was very apologetic. It makes a difference to be treated with that recognition. I had only clear, positive experiences with the billing department as well.
Our first visit to NHFC was absolutely great. We have very positive impression about Dr. Zhang and his explanation was very clear to understand. Also all staffs are very nice, we appreciate their hospitality. I feel that we will finally have huge support in the future.
As a New Yorker, I was impressed. The ladies working there were genunine and professional. I was impressed at how well structured the clinic was. For example, we are picked up by a lady smiling who took us into the doctors office. When we completed our consulation, another lady took us to the billing office and our financial questions were answered right away. I was curious about protocols and requested to speak with a nurse. They said no problem. I was taken to her office and the nurse answered all my questions. It was efficient, not rush and the transparancy in the conversations were evident. Dont look any further. Try NH.
I am glad that I chose New Hope for IVF. Both my partner and I did IVF and just one cycle I already got the result I want. The process is rather smooth and painless then what I imagined. The first consultation with Dr. Zhang, he explained meticulously about the process, and also reminded me what I should know or do before getting pregnant. The online course and introduction are also helpful. I freeze my embryos and decided to do transplantation later as I still want to focus on my job career for few years. I would recommend every girl who has a plan of having baby or just wants to keep an opportunity should come to New Hope and start egg freezing or IVF procedure as early as possible.
When i found this place i was greatful someone was giving me a chance since i was over 40. I was not impressed in a few ways. First, they are expressive, very little personal attention is given. I felt like I was part of an assembly line. They dont communicate progress, possible failure, or much at all. I decided to terminate my efforts due to no results after 10months. Fyi, u can have a consultation once a month as part of ur fees and no one told me til month 9 of the whole process. That really upset me at the end. Otherwise, physicians are very nice, polite.
The environment was comfortable. One disadvantage was that nobody told me to look at the screen at the beginning and I wasted a lot of time waiting for being called. Dr Mingxue Yang was professional and responsible. My husband’s cousin recommended him to us. We had nice experience with him in New Hope Fertility Center. I highly recommend Dr Yang to patients who have problem of having babies like me. Me and my husband really appreciate his job for us.
This is the only place that got me pregnant after trying for over a year and the only place that I knew of at the time that does Mini IVF. They are truly very thorough and organized, never really seen anything like it. And the 7am hours for working women when you have to take a bazillion blood tests were extremely helpful. Two complaints: after your initial consult with Doctor Z you will literally never see him again--the wait is way too long. And billing made like three mistakes and still owes me about $78. Its worth it though!
Please do your research New Hope is not the best facility by far. The Embryologist arent capable. The equipment is outdated, the Doctors level of successful ivf transfers are less than average. If youre going to spend the $ with hopes of a successful outcome DO YOUR RESEARCH
Im mystified by all the disgruntled reviews. Ive had a fantastic experience at NHFC! It runs very efficiently, Ive never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Even when full, the waiting area is relaxing (and has free wifi). The staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Zhang obviously has a lot of patients but hes been as personally attentive as can be expected, recently he updated me in person after a sonogram. The monitoring results are always emailed same day, Ive asked nurses tons of questions and never had any issues with communication. I just had my first egg retrieval. Dr. Zhang performed it himself and it was so fast and easy I was shocked... and yes, it was successful. To me, the complaints seem more like a case of nerves and lack of patience with the IVF process in general. It can be very emotionally frustrating and I guess its easy to blame the messenger. But from my experience, I am fully confident in NHFC and know I couldnt be in better hands.
Dr. Merhi at the New Hope Fertility Center was referred to me for fertility treatment. I went with my husband for a consultation in the spring of 2018 and we decided to move forward with our IVF procedure a few months later, in the summer. From our initial visit, we fell in love with Dr. Merhi. He is very attentive to his patients, caring, comforting, personable and has a great sense of humor. My husband and I had some difficulty during our process, as this is not a simple process to go through. Dr. Merhi was amazing through it all! He was extremely attentive, patient and strategic in helping us overcome any hurdles that we encountered. The entire team at NHFC is extremely professional and helpful. The communication at NHFC is awesome as most communication is done through a confidential email system, with respect to scheduling follow up appointments and in providing test results. The staff truly works as a team to address patients. I also love that all their procedures are done in-house, from bloodwork, sonograms, embryo transfers, collecting sperm specimens, etc. The medical facility is well organized and the doctors have a forward thinking mindset in their research and expertise. They are always working to make new breakthroughs to better help patients. I cant emphasize enough how much they are patient-centered and have great bedside manners, which was very important to me. It was a bonus that they have early morning hours, starting at 7 am, and are open 7 days a week. This made it easy to work appointments around my work schedule, and not have to take so much time off.I am happy to report I am 10 weeks pregnant after my 1st embryo transfer. My husband and I couldnt be happier, because Dr. Merhi really took his time with ensuring we had as high of a success rate as possible. He did not rush any component of the procedure, even though it took us a little longer than expected. If we plan on having more children, we definitely know we will return to NHFC, without a doubt. I am sad about not visiting New Hope since I have graduated from their care, but I feel I left with all the knowledge I need to help me through this next phase of my pregnancy.
Bad reviews are existing for a reason! Please do yourself a favor , stay away from this clinic. New hope is a very busy clinic that only care about money, never care about patients needs, and treats you like a number. I referred my friend to new hope for IUI cycle. Dr. Olcha was great, super nice and compassionate. However, he left in November, and that’s when nightmares began, my friends always has to chase them down for a prescription, sonogram results, clinic never explain the protocol. She never seen a doctor since then. What’s get her the most was, no one told her she had a cycst and her lining wasn’t idea until the morning of her iui procedure. For those who are looking for a fertility clinic, please do read reviews , do not let their ads and social media fool you !
New Hope Fertility is very professional, responsive and is a company you can rely on to help you achieve your goals in having a family. I highly recommend them if you’re planning to start a family.
From the first phone call to the first visit and now the beginning steps for Mini IVF, it has been nothing but positive experience and professionalism from everyone Ive had contact with. The consultation with Dr. Merhi was such a pleasant experience and it felt as if he was family. He was honest and took time to explain everything in detail. The nurses and reception were friendly, billing department staff, and prescription coordinator are prompt and very helpful providing guidance of process and instructions for medications. Thank you NHFC team for making me feel comfortable and at peace during this anxious but exciting process.
Your blood work Nurses are so mine ..today the second time I got scold . if the seconds it takes them to do theirs job is hard for them ,they dont have theirs place at this clinic.
Finding a clinic that was informative without being overwhelming was starting to feel impossible until we found New Hope’s virtual consultations and were linked with a professional that was able to answer all of our questions and make things seem more obtainable.
The best thing about them is that they’re affordable, but human centered service is severely lacking. This is a business first and foremost and it does not feel like it is about the patient. There are nice people here, but policies and process reign and people hide behind them.So until fertility related services become cheaper they’ll keep getting business and not feel the pressure to change their approach to patients or processes.
I had initial consultation with DR Merhi. He discused my issue in detail, answered to all of my questions and ordered only required tests to identify the issue which save my money. All doctors and staff service was really good and quick. They were taking patient hand to hand and take care of them.Very good thing which i noticed, doctor takes time out of busy schedule and personly call to all patients , discus lab result and next step. This is a place where doctors and staff try to understand and resolve patient issue and try to provide quality service!
I saw Dr. Merhi at New Hope this past Saturday and was very happy with our initial consultation. I came with my most recent tests and medical records and he cleared up a misdiagnosis that 3 previous doctors made and informed me of a fact concerning my situation that no other doctor bothered to address. He laid out a clear, concise , thorough and optimistic plan and was compassionate and easy to talk to . I am basing my rating on the initial consultation only because we have not started actual treatment yet but I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Merhi and New Hope so far. The only area of concern is how quickly I was shown the billing schedule and some of the fees are not concrete and I have questions but I am hoping to start treatment within the month and Dr. Merhi is my top choice. I will happily return to give an honest and thorough assessment of the entire facility after having been treated but so far, so great. I highly recommend a consultation with Dr. Merhi because he is a researcher and physicians that other researchers and physicians learn from and gain their expertise. Plus, he has a wonderful bedside manner and goes through every step with you in a reassuring and genuine way.
God blocked me from them for a reason!! My appointments was cancelled every time !
She was caring and professional. She gave me hope. This place is special. They are willing to explore different avenues because everyone is different.Thank you.
I have many problems with this experience and this clinic, first one is they told me my insurance covered it (they called and “checked“) and then once the procedure was done then later told me that it wasn’t covered by my insurance so I had to pay everything out of pocket, but what has been most stressful is my problems with billing, I mailed and faxed in multiple forms they required for me to stop the egg frozen process. I only wanted it for one year and I am still getting billed, spoken to many people about what has been happening but still getting billed. I keep emailing and calling but with them nothing gets done correctly. I am till upset and traumatize over this and it has been years. If I could give it a “no stars” I would. Please be careful if you go here and get names and dates of who you speak to and what information they give you.
DO NOT go here. Go ANYWHERE else. New Hope purposely does not pull all your eggs so that youre forced to be on continuous cycles, putting your body through unnecessary hell and your wallet through the ringer. I have spent $30k so far and they assumed i will do another cycle with them (because they dont pull all your avail eggs in the first place) I will go to any other reputable place, never here again. Do NOT go to NHFC!
It has been two months I visited the place. Haven’t really seen any result yet, it has very convenient hour to do the monitoring. Smooth and organised process. Dr Zhang is great! However, I would prefer the front desk personnel to have better courtesy and manners. I am not going to the clinic so I received “ORDER” by a front desk personnel. Please be polite and be respectful when you speak !
The place was beautiful so peaceful and serene and calming. The wait time was short and the staff were so kind gentle and informative. I definitely will be continuing my journey at new hope
Lauren was lovely and answered my questions. I’m hoping to have two new editions really soon. Thank You guys
Frustrating experience, I had a confirmed online meeting appointment with Dr.Zhang two weeks ago, waited for an hour and he was not showing, no rescheduling or anything, no explanation. I felt I am scammed
You can feel the presence of life when you enter the building. Its like walking in Heaven without the heavenly sounds from the horns, but its pretty much close enough. Waiting on our little angel now!!
I visited New Hope for 4 months and the doctor assured me I would have a successful pregnancy. He said if one thing dont work he will try other ways to make it work. He did nothing like that, all what they care about is to take all your insurance money.I am very disappointed with them and would suggest that no one goes there.
Absolute worst clinic! The money is only thing they care. they have very good marketing team to get you in the clinic, but terrible service.I am going to list why.1. Communication - Never able to get hold of anyone. spend hours, hours on the phone, and never get straight answers.2. very unprofessional. Doctors see you just as a factory tool. they change doctors very frequent to work on you. the doctors dont know you and your conditions. My suggest, Find a smaller clinic that doctor actual know you and your conditional well.
The clinic was very clean and so organized! The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The doctor was very informative and made sure my husband and I understood everything that was told to us. It was a great experience and they were all very hopeful
After a nightmare with a clinic local to me and quite a bit of research, I decided to travel from Florida to NHFC. After my initial Skype consult with Dr Zhang, what I had already known about him was confirmed. Both he and Dr Liu (who ended up as my doctor) are extremely knowledgeable and kind. They are without a doubt the top of their field. They were very on top of my protocols and any changes that had to be made. I was awake for my egg retrieval - this is one of the few clinics that lets you stay awake. It was amazing to watch! Their embryologists are also some of the best in the country. I had amazing results from my retrieval cycle. Out of my 17 eggs retrieved, 13 of them made it to freeze. When my first transfer failed and second ended in a chemical, Dr Liu was incredibly kind on the phone - taking all the time needed to answer my every question, make sure I was alright, and propose a new plan to ensure the following cycle’s success. I would say my only complaint is that sometimes you need to email the nurses more than once to get a question answered. Not uncommon for a larger clinic, though. There are also one or two doctors that aren’t as skilled as others. When choosing a clinic, the doctors and team of embryologists were my primary concern. I graduated from their clinic a while ago and will return to them once we’re ready to add another little blessing to our family.
NEVER GO HERE!I went through 9 egg retrievals over a year and produced 17 eggs at the ages between 39 and 41 when I was single. At that time, the doctor told that I could expect at least 2 kids in the future. After marriage, I thaw these eggs to create healthy embryos but none of them came out to be useful, though my husband did not have any fertility issues. Their management is disorganized and I always had to go through very stressful procedures. Eventually I changed to other clinics and realized that their protocols are neither appropriate nor effective. My hope was destroyed by this clinic.
There are so many things that I would like to express but it fills me with impotence but really do not trust this clinic they are the worst in fertility treatment for a while this clinic stopped being something special to become the worst 2019 it was a good thing but now I do not recommend this clinic can be called a clinic to say the least
An amazing experience from beginning to end and my Dr., Dr. Makarov and the entire staff showed their expertise each and every time. I’m really thankful to GOD that he led me and my Husband here to grow our family. Talk about another level of joy!!
We got no guarantees but we now have hope that we did not have before and we know we have a chance that we would not have had otherwise. The NP was very open and honest with us about our options and what obstacles we may face. This will be a difficult journey but it will be worth it in the end if we can make our final dream come true!!
The nurse and doctor was pleasant and very nice they made me feel comfortable answer whatever I asked I didn’t feel rushed either I recommend them .They also speak with a soft ,welcoming tone 👍👍👍
After meeting with a lot of fertility doctors, I can tell you without a doubt that New Hope Fertility is where you want to go. They have the exact take home information you want, with simple diagrams, and patient coordinators who are extremely on top of your medications and timing. They are extremely well organized and well run.
An absolute master in his craft! After visiting Dr. Zaher Merhi at both the Long Island and Manhattan centers, I noticed how his talents, unsurpassed skills, and efficiency truly make him the best reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist my family, friends and I have had the pleasure of meeting. Throughout the visits, I noticed his efficiency, timeliness, and wonderful communicative skills that made me feel extremely comfortable. In regards to infertility, many of my family and friends found amazing success with his work, after encountering difficulties and roadblocks at other centers. He took the time to investigate the issues using evidence-based medicine until they were successful. His office was super kind and professional, making sure to best accommodate your schedule and following up. This team truly cares about their patients and makes every attempt to connect with patients across the region. I have had the honor of witnessing the ideal physician scientist at the forefront of the field of REI and one who is bound for continued novel discovery. Dr. Zaher Merhi successful work can make your dreams a reality!
The service is really bad, they are not very responsible to the patients, I cant satisfy the call to ask for a Chinese translation, and I cant answer the phone call. , I dont care about the patient at all. I was very confused before the operation. The doctor only saw him once, and I saw him on the day of the operation. Its not reassuring at all.
Absolutely impossible to book an appointment. No one calls you back, even when your call is “escalated.” Luckily NYC has other options.
This office is a waste of time and money. You hardly see the Doctor. All they do is unnecessary test so you can spend more money. The Nurses do not follow up. You have to be the one to call to find out if your ovulating. You can never get through billing. They always messing up the bill. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
There beside manner is poor. My doctor never did any of my procedures always some one different. I had a failed IVF and the doctor didnt even call me to discuss the outcome. I have recommended 5 people to this clinic. At this time I am disappointed with their customer service. They spend very little time explaining what is actually going.
Dr. Merhi was my doctor. He made my fertility treatment a great experience. He made me feel like his family. He always remembered my name and answered my questions quick on email, phone or in person. He suggested a mini IVF treatment and it worked. I got pregnant at the first try with twin girls. My pregnancy was awesome I delivered on December 15 2018 and my twin girls tare doing great.I have to add that in the absence of Dr Merhi due to his day off or accident in his leg during my treatment other doctors had to see me and they were all awasone. Dr Merhi is my favorite thou. The place is very clean the screen to see the tests of ultrasounds are big, so you can see everything. They are open 365 days so you treatment never has be adjusted due to holiday, office closed or Doctors vacation.I am planning on returning next year for my third baby.Thank you new hope for the great job you all provide to clients.
Total waste of time. I would watch your wallet. Their office is nonfunctional. They will never call you back or respond to your email. Nurses dont follow up with you. They charged me for the visit, while I had the insurance and the insurance covered the expense. However, I still had to fight to get my refund, even after their office and my insurance confirmed that. They are not in an infertility business. They are in a business to reaping people off who need infertility service.
What a terrible place… you are in there like an animal on a slaughter line.. and not to mention, those idiots dont know how to bill straight.I get new bills with new charges almost every day , even when I havent gone to the place in over 10 months! They only want to extract money from you.. they dont care about the patient. After almost a year, even after I paid everything OUTRIGHT, i keep getting bills for blood tests even today ! I mean seriously? their intention is to get whatever possible out of you.. EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE PAID IN FULL !
This place is horrible!!! For the few people that find success here, it is IN SPITE of New Hopes shoddy performance, communication and service.Very few of the people that work here actually feel like doing their job - this is the case most of the time. You can be in the middle of an IVF cycle for which you need DAILY medication instructions. The Lab will send them your blood results multiple times (with receipt verifications that the transmissions went through), but somehow, MAGICALLY, they did not receive it. They did not exercise ANY follow-up skills, because they simply do not care. Evening rolls around with ZERO communication from them. So, I hope you are a good guesser at defining you own medication regimens. If not, your cycle will not succeed, and they will take ZERO responsibility for anything. (This has happened to me personally on MULTIPLE occasions)If only they were only as passionate about IVF as they are about cashing checks… but they are not. They are driven by money, NOT by a passion to help people. The nurses are rude and Dr Zhang just acts bothered when you try to communicate with him. Run, don’t walk - AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.If you want a career where you can fail miserably on a recurring basis but still get paid anyway, this place may the right career choice for you.
If youre like me, youve been feeling frustrated at the fertility clinics youve been to. Ive been to two before NHFC, and I felt like the staff didnt really listen to my story, my concerns or my struggles. NHFC was the complete opposite, and I am so relieved that Ive finally found a place that values my physical, emotional and mental well-being. Ive always taken a whole holistic approach to healthcare, so I was super drawn to their Mini-IVF offering which requires less medication. Special shoutout to Dr. Zhang, who made me feel so much less anxious and listened to my whole story intently and kindly. The office itself is located at Columbus Circle, right by public transportation and super easy to find.
As an outside monitoring patient, I have had an excellent experience. I knew my chances would be low given my advanced age and I am now on my 7th egg retrieval cycle. The low doses of medication and holistic approach is entirely consistent with the care I received. Dr. Zhang has been available for consultations whenever I requested his advice. Dr.Yang is a brilliant doctor who is exceptional at completely painless minimally invasive, local anesthesia only retrievals. Nurse Liu and Gao have been notably involved in my care and great at communicating with the doctors. Its worth the travel from out of town. Im hoping for success, but having tried other clinics and whether or not it works, I know this was the best clinic for me.
I will never forget the amazing staff especially Dr Zhang. THE BEST!!! I had about a 2% chance of having a baby and on my 5th try I was blessed with a beautiful daughter. She is now 12 1/2. I was 45 when I got pregnant and they were patient and willing to do whatever it took. It is the hardest but best process in life. In retrospect, it was easy. We forget the pain and only know of the joy our child creates. Thank you again Dr Zhang and staff. BEST EVER!
The good thing about NH is that they dont turn any one away- the bad thing about NH is that they dont turn anyone away.. you are in a factory line of patients and no one really listens to you or addresses your questions or needs. i asked a week ago to speak to Dr Zhang and his Human Resources dept said it would take 30 days! (and at the time i was his patient and he admitted to having made mistakes on my cycle.. if you ask questions no one really wants to deal with you- just to speak to your doctor takes incessant phone calls and emails. it took 2 weeks from the day of my retrieval to get Dr Zhang to call me back after incessant emails and over 5 emphatic phone calls. he is over worked and has very little time to deal with you unless it is to sign you up for IVF. the Human Resources dept will not follow up or address your concerns. the only professional aspect of NH is the front desk and the embryology dept (why i went there). SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PRECIOUS BABY MAKING TIME.. there are plenty of fertility specialists in NYC.
It was explained to me perfectly I could understand exactly what she was talki About she was nice and took her time with my questions
I am forever grateful to have found New Hope! Dr. Zheng, Dr. Yang and Dr. Liu were wonderful! After 2 failed expensive traditional Ivf treatments at NYU - where I felt more like cattle than person - thanks to a friend I came to New Hope. After Dr Zheng reviewed my chart he told me a mini ivf with less medication (and a fraction of the cost!) was a better route for me. His approach was right on. I felt the doctors (especially kind Dr. Liu) were as invested as I was. The staff and atmosphere were also so much more relaxing than other clinics. The only thing I would say to future patients, is to remember that you have to be in charge of your cycles and proactive in your care. Despite the wonderful medical care there were a few administrative hiccups (medicines sent to wrong pharmacy, etc) because I was following my cycle so closely I was able to call and have issues straightened out right away.Overall, I found the staff and doctors friendly, caring, responsive (especially by email) and helpful! As far as Im concerned, their approach to fertility is right on!One try and one healthy embryo later - I am pregnant!
This place is great! All of the staff made us feel very comfortable and Doctor Zhang is excellent he explains things so that you have a clear understanding. He’s friendly and funny i would definitely recommend New Hope Fertiliy Center. I wish i could give more then 5 stars!
Very professional and friendly staff and doctor too. Explaned us what is the plan with our IVF journey. The Billing department take a time to explane to us all expenses very clearly
Here the billing department used to be a little aggressiveHowever, the embryologist and the doctor here are really good. My very old eggs were successfully fertilized by the embryologist Lv Zhuo. I tried some clinics but couldnt do anything,A good clinic mainly depends on the laboratory facilities, as well as the embryologist and doctors skill, it is really really great and fast, thank you very much.Dr lv and Dr liu
Coming from a bad fertility treatment experience with other facility I was eskeptical and unsure of my expectations will be at New Hope Fertility. Dr. Lipkin gave me the assurance that My husband and I are in good hands, she made us feel very confident and positive to our options. She took her time and explained, discussed our concerns etc.Looking forward for the next journey of my fertility treatment with NHFC.
The doctor did a great job of explaining how/why egg freezing works (he was extremely knowledgeable and polite), but when it came down to the actual procedure and process, I felt a little lost here. The Center is a large facility that handles many different aspects of fertility; the doctors/nurses are all well-versed pros at fertility and can probably do many procedures in their sleep on autopilot, but I needed a little more hand-holding and information on what was actually going on. (Another issue is that they were ready to start my process immediately, but I wanted to wait a few more months; this got lost in communication between so many doctors/nurses so there was a stressful confusion of mismatched next-steps between them and me.) However, what was impressive is that they reached out when I expressed frustration, and genuinely seemed to care about my experience and how to make it better in the future.
Initial consultation was great, so very thorough and lnformative. Dr. Zhang is both self deprecating and smart. He immediately put us at ease and explained things in a way me and my husband could understand. The billing was unquestionanbly the hardest to decipher. No answers and no pricing informstion. Hope they can fix that part and this will be a 5 star review. The staff was amazing.
The billing department sucks big time. No one bother to respond to my repeated email for reimbursement of cancelled cycles. Please understand what a person goes through and have some curtsy to respond in time.
NHFC gives hope to folks who for the most part have no hope of conceiving a child. Its just a money making factory. We went through multiple cycles to no avail and spent 10s of thousands of dollars. Their follow-up is horrible and forget trying to get anyone on the phone. During the critical phases of the cycle we had to pester and pester to find out if we needed to come in or not for a retrieval. It was very stressful. Their only success is making money and they do hand over fist. On a positive note when you are in the office, the staff is very professional, and the nurses and doctors are great as far as bedside manner.
Shady, lies to rope you into multiple cycles, totally disorganized and had several screw ups. Run as fast as you can away from this clinic. Dr. Zhang is noncommunicative and caters to Asian patients and Dr. Merhi is nice but phony and overly optimistic. He is also apparently afraid of Dr. Zhang and will drop you like a bad habit without explaining or following up at Zhangs request. Totally in it for your money only. Worst experience ever!
My wife & I have been to so many doctors and they all turned their back on us or treated us a certain way but Dr. Merhi made us extremely comfortable and very confident that we will finally be able to create our family! This was just the consultation and I’m super excited about allowing him to help us on our TTC journey!
Maria was amazing to talk to and appreciated me as a customer. I truly enjoyed talking to her.
I have been to NHFC twice. Everyone and I mean everyone - the receptionist, phlebotomists, ultrasonographers, nurses and the doctors have been great. I have been treated with kindness, compassion and respect the entire time. People come here because they want a child or to extend a family and they have roadblocks. The staff seems very mindful of this and desirous of helping couples conceive while being also being honest and upfront too.
Wasted our time and put us in a worse situation then when we started. My medical and fertility stats were in very good standing but we werent able to conceive. New Hope doctors, staff and process are THE WORSE. The doctor was careless and in a rush during one of my egg retrievals and damaged it - this is horrible for a woman who only produces so many eggs in a lifetime - and THEY KNOW THIS. During my first visit we waited 7 HOURS! We were told to wait for results every time that I brought our long wait to their awareness. All those fools kept us waiting for NOTHING because in the end, we didnt have to wait. Their waiting room is more congested than an ER room on its busiest day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! THEY TREAT YOU LIKE A NUMBER AND DONT EVEN CARE TO TALK TO YOU OR WORK WITH YOU IN ANY WAY. THEY TREAT PATIENTS LIKE $$ AND NOTHING ELSE. We wasted our time and now our chances to conceive are even less.
Very unprofessional they dont care about the patients all they care is to make money .first time when you go they treat you nice and give you estimated cost but dont believe them the actual cost will be way more. and if they charge you extra also you wont get it back because they will adjust it in some other charges. always read the reviews before you go.
Im very disappointed at their incompetency, lack of attention and care to timing of the procedures when the timing is the key in the process of conceiving and complete lack of communication with the patient as well as among the staffs/nurses/doctors.Ive attempted at natural cycle IUI using donor sperm. The clinic tried to inseminate donor sperm (which survives 24 hours at most based on the advice of lab director of the most reputable donor bank in the States where I purchased the viral from; also the only one non-profit donor bank in the Stares, highly regarded for their research, confirms this) without triggering or seeing whether Im ovulating. They made the decision to inseminate purely based on the 22 mm follicle size!, which does not indicate whether Im ovulating at the time. When I raised this, they wanted to give me the trigger shot which releases the egg approximately 36 hours later (by which time, the sperms would have lost the potency and all gone?!?).A procedure such as an IUI using frozen sperm, the timing is essential. Why not give the trigger shot first, space out by one day, do the IUI so that the ovulation and the sperm injection are in synch?!? I tried to explain this to the doctor. He simply said if you dont trust me, go to another clinic and walked away.He could not or did not answer why the logical timing is just disregarded. He offered to give me the trigger shot that day and have me come back the following day..., but theyve already the thawed the frozen sperm...I am appalled by the behaviors of the doctor. Just as much upsetting is the protocol they have set out that does not make any sense. I do respect Dr. Zhang but the story ends there. This clinic throws out one-size-fits all without providing adequate consultation or paying attention to each patient. It runs like a factory. On each visit, a different doctor steps in and there was a day there was no doctor was available??I have traveled from overseas to undergo the procedures and expended lots of energy, substantial time and some money. And given my age, each cycle is precious. I would not recommend this clinic.
STAY AWAY!!! RUN RUN RUN!!!New Hope Fertility Center should be called NO hope. I cannot imagine I spent my precious two years to do IVF here for many cycles. The doctors are not knowledgeable and I had many failed cycles because they use inappropriate protocols and even cannot do the trigger timing correctly. I have seen many patients with messed up cycles because of doctors mistakes. Their lab is well-known to be unstable and bad quality. For example, they even let junior embryologist directly do ICSI without going through training. Why? Save cost! You have no idea how your embryos died in their lab. The success of getting blast for embryos can be significantly lower in busier seasons, such as summer. Can you believe that? This clinic just cares to take your money! They dont care about you.Its cost is cheaper compared to other IVF clinic but it is still not worthy it. Save your time and stay away.Dont believe their good success rate on SART!!! It is tricky! I heard patients like me who never get a chance to transfer an embryos wont be counted as data points for SART.
Great information. Dr. Zhang read all my history and new which direction I wanted to go with my fertility journey. He answered all my questions. Very informative and looking forward to working with New Hope Fertility Center.
The worst billing department. I get the voicemail not matter when I call. If they call back, its weeks later even if I leave a message saying all I want to do is pay a bill!!As for the service itself, Dr.Zhang was very overzealous about getting me in to do IVF. He told me I needed to do IVF right away because I was 39 and statistically my fertility was falling off a cliff although I explained that my husband and I had only been trying to conceive for just over 3 months and Id gotten naturally pregnant and had a miscarriage in that time. I decided to pass on IVF and was naturally pregnant with a healthy baby 9 months later. The feeling I got from my month at New Hope was that they wont turn anyone away and want to get as many desperate women to sign up for IVF as possible.
I have been on TTC journey for some time now, and the name says it All “New Hope” I am so impressed by this facility they are very kind, courteous, informative, most of all professional. Thank you for helping me on TTC NEW HOPE
Thanks to everyone who left a comment! I was about to go to the facility .but they never follow up with me .or Call me . then I couldn’t get in contact with anyone. I emailed and called! No response ! I’ve never see any doctors office like this.... I feel something is wrong ...Lucky me I read all the Google reviews
Dr. Lupkin was very caring and understood what I was going through, I was diagnosed with PCOS since I was 18 yrs old, and she made me feel comfortable and confident that with my condition I can still become a mom. The nurses were all very friendly as well. I would highly recommend this Fertility Clinic.
Overall, well-run, clean, efficient, and friendly place. It definitely put me at ease to be there. Fertility challenges and treatments are so stressful; its important to be in an environment that feels calm and safe. Thanks, New Hope for fulfilling this expectation. -Carla G.
New Hope staff have always been friendly and attentive whenever Ive needed anything.
Every aspect of NHFC is exceptional: the space, the location, the PAs, the front desk staff, and most importantly...the doctors!!! IVF treatments are stressful enough, and NHFC do everything in their power to continuously make me feel at ease. Their kindness, graciousness, patience and calmness is all that Ive ever needed in a fertility clinic. I feel like I was seen as a HUMAN, not just another patient with the same problem. To anyone out there feeling defeated and frustrated with the IVF process, I really cant tell you how much NHFC has helped me and my family. I had been experiencing reoccuring pregnancy loss and Dr. Zhang discussed a variety of procedures/diagnostic testing that could help with implantation rates.
Dr Makarov was very kind and took her time in explaining everything to me. I look forward to working with her and the rest of the staff at New Hope Fertility.
After two failed IVF cycles, I switched from a top clinic to New Hope. I am glad I met Dr Yang, really knowledgeable, professional and patient. My baby girl is 3 month old now.
I made an appointment, but I have a few questions before I go. Wei answered my phone, she can hardly answer any of my questions. She turned upset, her altitude is really bad. So I cancelled my appointment because of her. I dont think they would treat me well, since the the staff have no patience at all.
I’ve been trying for almost 2 years to conceive to no avail. I came to New Hope Oct 2020, and inspite of having very low AMH high FSH and Hypothyroidism Dr. Makarov and her team made it possible for me to become pregnant . I’d recommend New Hope 110%. Thank you Dr. Makarov i will forever be grateful!
I have my first healthy baby boy in July, 2017 when I was 42 years old. Without Dr. Zhang and New Hope Fertility Center, my dream as being a mom will never come true. I had breast cancer in my 20’s, so there were two other Manhattan infertility doctors rejected my case . One of oncologist told me that I would only have 4 % of chance to get pregnant. Dr. Zhang made my dream come true. Now, I am 45 and come back NHFC for 2nd healthy baby.
After talking to the doctor I’m so happy they can work with me! Very excited about this! Praying that they can make my wish come true soon
