I shouldve read the reviews from other patients prior to coming here - what a mess and not a great experience.I arrived early, but not early enough to fill out the pages upon pages of forms needed to be completed.Another guy waiting was getting very frustrated as hed been in the waiting area for over an hour, and proceeded to tell the front desk that youve already lost my last set of results, thats why Im here again. Not a great sign.Staff seem disinterested in their roles, and theres a general air of them being lazy and not very efficient.Trying to get someone to actually explain my results to me ( after they were emailed) is an impossibility, because I was told that technically Im not a patient here, I was referred, and I just used them as a lab. All in all, I am hopeful I dont have to return here. Its a shame as the subject of fertility is immensely important to anyone going through this, couples need information and expect a certain level of professionalism. The experience here does not offer this, and I left feeling a little skeptical. I only hope that others have a better experience.
***WARNING, especially if you have infertility: RMA has too many patients to individually tailor your treatment plan. You will get lost in the shuffle. Their doctors do not apply the current research to their treatment plans. For instance - they placed me on a drug protocol involving high dose gonadotropins, and they recommended I go additional days on antagonists than originally planned - both of which are not recommended in patients with my profile of DOR (Youssef et al., 2018; Liu et al., 2020; Youssef et al., 2016; Loutradis et al., 2007). There is plenty of evidence that high dose gonadotropins actually compromise the quality of any eggs that may be retrieved (Shen et al., 2024), which is especially detrimental for patients with infertility who may only able to retrieve a few eggs. Subsequent consultation with reproductive endocrinologists with a special interest in infertility have also validated the above.I had my initial consult with Dr. Friedenthal and felt rushed the entire time. She marked off in her medical records that she spent 60 minutes with me - the first lie. In that initial consult, she stated my AFC was low, I will likely need to through multiple cycles, and there is a risk of aneuploidy. Thats all she stated in her 60 minutes with me. She never explicitly stated I had a diagnosis of diminished ovarian reserve - I found that out after I read her consult notes (available in your portal), where she clearly copied and pasted a template for patients with DOR, stating she also discussed other things with me which were not actually discussed - the second lie. Moreover, no one ever discussed with me explicitly the risk of early ovulation in patients with DOR - which is what wound up happening, leading to my cycle to be canceled.Dr. Friedenthal also stated I should keep my IUD in during the egg freezing cycle (to avoid the risk of getting pregnant during the cycle). Another example of not tailoring the treatment plan. Another doctor at the practice later contradicted Dr. Friedenthal, stating that patients with DOR may be relatively more effected by the IUDs effects on AMH. While the values were still low, both my AMH & AFC exponentially increased correlated with removal of my IUD.I went through the entire cycle, and even got up to the trigger shots. The next morning, I went for a routine monitoring appointment, but this time, no ultrasound was performed, only blood. The RN later called stating my estrogen level dropped. When I pressed her as to why, she mentioned it could be I ovulated early, but it could also be due to other reasons. Panicking, I asked what the other differentials may be, and if I could get an ultrasound to determine if I truly ovulated early. She got off the phone to speak with the doctor (why the doctor just couldnt call me directly initially with the results, Ill never know). I went back in-person to see if I could speak to a doctor in-person, and they refused to let me in. After a very long and loud conversation with the RN, Dr. Romanski called me back (you never see the same doctor each time). He stated nothing different than what the RN mentioned and refused to offer an ultrasound. Anxiety-ridden, the ultrasound was performed the morning of my egg retrieval, revealing I ovulated early, and the retrieval was canceled. Not a single staff member exercised the art of comprehensive discussion or empathy. I admit, I walked into the waiting room and announced my experience to patients in the event it would help another woman with infertility make a more informed decision. I was met with an inflammatory letter from the President of RMA, firing me as a client (like I would ever go back there for care...lol). As a veterinarian in NYC, I, too, am overwhelmed with my patient population. But I could never lay my head down at night knowing I had my nurse call with negative results, and without offering my patients and their owners the individualized care and empathy they deserve.
We are very disappointed with the service of RMA. While the doctor himself was great, his office team was disorganized and difficult to get in contact with. When we had questions or tried to schedule cycles or follow-ups, it would often take multiple weeks worth of emails or phone calls before we finally heard back or sometimes we would get no response at all.Going through any type of IVF process is such an important and sensitive matter, and we missed the opportunity for multiple cycles solely because of their lack of response. Ultimately we decided to switch providers and it has been night and day so far. I would highly caution others to be careful if going with RMA.
I had a good experience at RMA in San Francisco so was keen to work with RMA in New York. I loved my initial consultation with Dr Nazem - she is clearly an expert healthcare provider, was professional and detailed about what working together would look like, and made me feel excited about establishing care in New York. However, the administration of a medical office is incredibly important for healthcare procedures and I found RMA’s financial coordinator extremely difficult to work with. She provided no clarity about what bills to expect, was vague and condescending when we spoke, and continued to be unresponsive / unhelpful via follow up emails. At one point, it took her ten days and a follow up email from me just to tell me that her department didn’t handle a particular issue. While I would love to continue seeing Dr Nazem, the financial team at RMA Eastside makes me uneasy about working with the clinic. I would recommend that you check out the staff and financial team before deciding whether you want to move ahead with them.
In all my process I have felt very well at the clinic all staff very procesionales, I want to congratulate especially to jossy for his great love of work, his kindness, the smile that gives me feel very calm, It has also been very helpful that she speaks several languages.Happy to be part of this family that helps fulfill dreams as they are doing with me
Unprofessional support staff. The care coordinator Sarah for Dr. Flisser is condescending and most likely a racist. If you’re not white she will make sure you’re treated differently. I feel mistreated by the whole care coordinator team. From lack of communication to complete silence. Even something as simple as getting your records from them is difficult. I truly wonder if the owner(s) of RMA reads the reviews, you’re losing money and patients because of the support staff. Re the doctor Flisser, he was wonderful, it’s unfortunate he has a failed team behind him. Dr. Flisser statistics are good for IVF but the process of dealing with the support staff will make you leave RMA. And that’s what we did, we LEFT RMA!!I will not spend my money to be treated disrespectfully by unprofessional staff. I hope he starts his own practice outside of RMA!
After years of loss and failed transfers at other places, one shot at RMA with Dr. Aharon, and we finally have our perfect little girl. We started retrieval meds in may 2023, and she was born April 2024. I’m so grateful to have met Dr. Aharon and her team.. they are available, caring and run a very smooth operation- I would know, I have done it elsewhere for years. At 40 years old, this will probably be our fist and lay, but if that thought changed- best bet I’ll be running back to her.
RMA bought my original fertility clinic, Shady Grove Fertility, and its been a nightmare from Day 1. The administrators have made it so difficult. You would think that as an existing patient of the acquired clinic that they would have all of my personal information and demographic details. Even though they have all this information they still made me onboard to a new portal as if I were a completely new patient. Emails to their admins would go days without being answered. When I had questions about the process of how my specimens would be transferred to the new storage facility, they blew me off and instead sent paperwork absolving them of any liability if something were to go wrong during the moving of the specimens.Theyre disorganized, unhelpful, and I am not looking forward to my continued dealings with them.
Dr Aharon is great but the clinic service is slower than a USSSA office, you hear all nurses and staff laughing outside while you are sitting in a room for a long time. I am only here for Dr Aharon otherwise I would not come back
RMA has taken great care of me throughout this process! Lisa is especially good at painless blood draws and Dr. Friedenthal is great at leading her team :)
This is a very organized, polite staff (Jenny in particular)..and they had a very full team of support present during the procedure, and a clean facility. Careful about ensuring proper medical coordination with my docs
This place does feel like a giant factory and I loved it. They know what they are doing. Sure, maybe a bit impersonal but they get the job done.Finance department was wonderful and so helpful.Thank you so much RMA and Dr. Copperman!
We are so happy! Thanks to Dr Copperman we are going to have a baby after 12 plus years of trying. His team are so nice and very helpful. Thank you!
Truly an amazing office run by amazing people. I came to RMA for my egg freezing cycle and they were incredibly communicative, efficient (they had me in and out quickly every morning), and talked me through all of my questions and the next steps. They followed up with me almost immediately after and have been great since. Id highly recommend them to anyone exploring their reproductive options!
Disorganized. Horrible staff. Claim to be something that they are not and charge for what they claim to be rather than what they are — a factory for fertility treatment, not a high-end experience focused practice. Just look at the cut and paste nonsense reply to all of the horrible reviews they received. They couldn’t even take the time to write a substantive response. A factory through and through.
First of all, Dr. Stein is an MVP. He was straight forward, honest, patient and answered all of our questions honestly. He treated me like his own daughter and made it possible for my husband and I could have our own daughter ❤️However, our IVF coordinator was very unresponsive and unorganized. Dr. Stein even answered an email during his vacation, trying to get my questions about my appointments/medications/billing figured out. We are thankful to Dr. Stein and nurse Jackie, but found the coordinators very difficult to work with and had a few upsetting experiences with scheduling/billing.
Had a great experience. very nice and knowledgeable staff. sima did my bloodwork she’s fabulous no pain
Sima was an excellent nurse! So quick with the blood work and very friendly :-)
They didn’t know which lab my frozen embryos were in. My original doctor, Dr Lekovich, who was responsible for my embryos ignored me for weeks and I had to switch doctors in the clinic because I couldn’t get her team to return my calls. Imagine the team with your embryos going AWOL. My medicine with the new doctor for the embryo transfer was totally screwed up..to the point I was injured for several days. The team responsible for my embryo transfer didn’t know where the embryos were, 24 hours before the procedure, and the list goes on. This practice is shonky and are a big machine run for profit. There are too many teams and they don’t communicate. Their patient portal is not up to date and has errors. You also can never call direct to the people in charge of your care - everything goes through a call centre. It took me weeks to complain and give feedback, and person in charge of this wouldn’t get back to me and I had to chase constantly, my points of feedback were not resolved in any way. Avoid at all costs.
Terrible experience. No follow-up whatsoever. Neither the nurses nor the doctors have any idea about your file whenever you come in to do a procedure. Each time I came in, they asked me if it was my first time, they didnt even bother to look it up before entering the room. I had no medical advice on whether or not continuing to do IUIs with them. Eventually they didnt even call me back to know if it worked after 5 months with them. Felt completely alone and unsupported the whole time.
Isha was great phlebotomist, her blood draw did not hurt at all it was very quick and easy compare to others. Also she was very nice and pleasant.
Thank you Dr Flisser and Sara S. For your guidance during my IVF journey. Very organized place and the team there is great.
Awful care and service. Poor management of treatment plan, with miscommunication and late responses. Didnt do insurance pre-authorizations for labs and proceed to claim its not their reposibility so left with hefty bill.
My husband and I started our fertility journey in July 2023. We used RMA of NY and had nothing but positive experiences. The staff is wonderful and attentive and eventually remember you by first name basis. All of the offices are BEAUTIFUL! All my appointments were quick there is rarely ever a long wait time. The staff is very responsive to all phone calls and emails. This clinic is in constant commincation with you. Dr Stein is extremely pleasant and answers all the questions I had. He is extremely encouraging and supportive. As of today I am 8 weeks and 6 days pregnant with my baby girl! I did my FET on 11/22/23 and we were sucessful on our first round! Today was my last day with them as it is now time to see an OBGYN. Its bitter sweet but I will be back when its time to have my second baby. So I wont say goodbye, Ill say see yall later! Thank you to Dr.Stein and all the staff at RMA. I never thought I would ever get pregnant, I am so happy!
When i come to the RMA in madison Jossy V. she help me and my wife everything helpful when mu wife not understand something.
RMA on Madison Avenue gave us our blessing. The process of IVF is very invasive and rigorous, with reasons. Dr. Copperman and his staff (including the phlebotomy technicians) were all very supportive and helpful. They make you feel like you are their only concern. I will forever be grateful to them. I had my son in 2020 but came on the site to get their info to pass it along to someone and saw that I can leave a review. I am here to say, if Dr. Copperman can help me and my husband get a child he can help anyone!
Avoid going here. Whoever schedule the first call with me flat out lied about the out of pocket rate and said everything was included with the number provided. Doctor herself was fine. Everyone else was a disaster, especially the two clinical staff that sounds like theyre just in training with 2 heavy notebook reading repeating sales pitch. Did not end up getting the blood work done here because the first lady on the phone lied about costs. Terrible experience overall. Best to go to a full hospital instead of this place.
0/10 would not recommend.I went into my first cycle and from the very beginning had a bad feeling, the doctor Copperman initially told me my chances were slim and that my levels were too high to start and I would be ovulating soon but if I were to wait until after the holidays, I would just be “two months older” . I am 39 and know many people who have had children via IVF so I never in a million years thought I would have the outcome I did, zero eggs retrieved after a 14 day cycle. The nurses however were nice but the place is run like a factory, at least three different times, the doctor even walked in on me while changing and didn’t have the decency to close the door and let me finish, saying “we’re just trying to be efficient here”.Every time I would ask questions he seemed frustrated and almost indignant at me asking simple things like what size and number of follicles after basically ramming the ultrasound probe into me. Awful bedside mannerThe final straw was after a zero egg retrieval not being able to get an appointment for a week only for him to tell me he thinks I’m paramenapausal and that I should come back in January “if I get a period again”, and when I asked him if he thought it was likely to achieve a successful cycle he told me he was “not hopeful”.Stay far away if you in fact want to maintain your mental health and have the chance of conceiving. This place should be ashamed.
My experience at RMA was very impersonal, stressful and sloppy. It is very hard to get a hold of anyone in the office and it is evident that the staff works in silos from the Fertility Care Coordinator to the Financial Coordinator. I had to send multiple emails asking for a follow-up. After visiting in early June for my first time egg freezing appointment, I was left hanging waiting for an insurance approval update after 1 month. My medications were ordered and I still did not hear back from the financial coordinator to later receive a PDF with the breakdown of cost without any follow-up phone calls. This clinic was a waste of my time. I did not hear from the financial coordinator until mid-July after sending a few several emails asking for an update. Lastly, Dr. Jovana Lekovich herself was very pleasant and the initial consultation went great however, the unresponsive and lack of communication was rude. This is a sensitive procedure for anyone and how you treat your patients is unbelievably disrespectful
RMA has the best embryology lab in the country so we know our embryos are safe and sound. Doctors and fellows were very knowledgeable and compassionate during both of my cycles.
Thank you Dr.sandler,Dr.mukherjee,Dr.Carlos Hernandez they’re real angels on earth, they make my dream come true 🥰 my baby it’s 6 month old a happy and healthy baby… the best clinic in NY 10/10
Ive had an extremely frustrating experience with the administrative staff at this doctors office, which I believe to be the worst Ive ever encountered. Despite repeatedly communicating the tests I needed, they consistently scheduled the wrong ones, necessitating two separate visits. In addition, their incompetence extended to mishandling insurance claims. Obtaining timely test results was a hassle, requiring persistent follow-ups. The frustration reached a point where my partner and I decided to discontinue our consultation with them. I strongly recommend avoiding their services at all costs!!!
Operates like a giant factory, very impersonal, with poor communication with patients. fwiw, i am a medical provider and not new to the hurdles of obtaining healthcare in nyc but i am surprised at the poor level of service for a cash pay procedure. wish i’d read the reviews in advance prior to my treatment here. if further treatment is needed, i will be going elsewhere. the initial MD consultation was fine but I was seen by a fellow or technician most the time, never the same one twice, who did not know details of my chart and often provided conflicting information.
The only urologist there (Nathan) is useless, they made 3 sperm tests and they never contacted me to discuss the results. Keep I. Mind that if you here is going to be a total waist of your time and effort.
Better late than never. Ive been a proud mother to a beautiful, intelligent little girl for the past two years thanks to Dr. Buyuk and the entire RMA team. My experience was nothing short of amazing, from the consultation until my last visit post-transfer. I will forever be grateful to RMA and Dr. Buyuk for all that they did to make my dream of motherhood come true. Thank you! I highly recommend RMA. I wish there were more stars to add. :)
Jossy was very helpful taking my bmi and making me feel comfortable and less nervous.
Mahalia was the sweetest. And first time I ever got blood drawn with no pain!! Thanks so much!!
The doctor is great but the third party team is very frustrating. The team just keeps on pushing you to do every check or examination. After you eventually finished all checks and exams, the third party team told you that there is no egg donor available, you need to wait 4-6 months then MAYBE THERE IS ONE EGG DONOR AVAILABLE. I feel like I got cheated! If you want to have an egg donor quickly, they start to recommend you the agencies which is very expensive and with risk of a donor not passing the screening checks.Or the team would recommend you to use frozen eggs which the success rate is ver low.Almost every patient who needs egg donor is at the age of 48+, how could they wait so long. It makes no sense!Every patient has a legal right that she/he should know the fact before they go to have the medical checks and examinations!
Extremely disorganized. Emails don’t go through. Don’t file insurance properly. No regard for people’s time. Very poor communication between departments resulting in wasted time showing up to locations for drop offs or appointments they couldn’t service. Seems like their main doctor Dr. sekhon is spending more time creating social media content to drive new business than she is fixing the operational issues in her clinic. The financial coordinator is extremely sloppy and incompetent. We did all of our initial testing with rma but got very concerned with their organization and process and will now be switching to do our freezing with another clinic.
Today was my last monitor at RMA East side and I dont have enough words to describe the efficiency and the professionalism of all staff.Dr.Aharon and her staff accompanied during this long journey and helped us to realize a big dream.I absolutely recommed this clinic!
I wanted to share my recent experience in efforts to help anyone. I was at RMA of NY and did 2 cycles of IVF. Both resulted in miscarriages. The test that took place were sonograms and bloodwork (miscarriage panel). Something in me just felt like RMA operated very robotically and I did not feel that they were making a treatment plan for my needs. In the last miscarriage, I finally switched to a different clinic. The sonogram they did the 1st day made them feel that further testing was needed. I was referred to get an MRI of my pelvis. The results were that I have adenomyosis, my right tube is dilated and needed to be removed and we need to monitor my left side further. I was referred to a surgeon. They basically shared that I would not be able to conceive naturally once this is removed only through IVF. However, this is needed because I will likely have miscarriages. Why did no one in RMA check this? They just wanted to proceed with the next cycle. I lost 2 of 3 IVF trials with my current insurance. I lost money and time that I will never get back. I am so frustrated and sad. Please listen to your gut and if something does not feel right where you are, it is ok to switch. If I had the engery and strength, I would take this action further to prevent anyone else from going through this.
Dr Aharon and her team were extremely kind and caring with me throughout the process. They were very considerate and patient with my questions and requests and went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable throughout. I would go back here in a heartbeat if I was to go through this egg freezing process again. Thank you so much! I look forward to using my eggs in the future :)
Latisha was really nice and friendly. Really appreciate her professionalism
I visited Dr Sekhon after having bad experiences with a lot of OBGYN doctors who were over prescribing and recommending so much unnecessary testing. Dr Sekhon was so patient, informative and she sat with us for such a long time without rushing. She explained everything so well. Jackie the nurse was also super sweet and supportive explaining what bloodwork we needed and she called to follow up after and prescribed the meds on time. Front desk staff was super professional as well. Just very happy with this establishment. 10/10 recommend !!
Income oriented place: doctor Bar-Chama recommended IUI for a few months even though he knew it wont work as per all research results available - I guess his plan was to run our insurances for a few months with IUI attempts and then to start running them for IVF. Other providers told us IUI is less than 2% chance for us to get pregnant and recommended IVF instead. He knew my wife and myself were nurses, lived in different borough and needed to travel to NYC few times per week for monitoring and still tried to rip off...If you have no medical background and have fantasies of all medics being ethical stay AWAY from this place. I dont mind private practices making money but not at such a vast expense on the patients side.
While bedside manner of the doctors at RMA is fantastic, there are several issues with this practice. First and foremost, they do not return phone calls. In fact, my wife had to make an appointment to see a specialist via Instagram DM (messaging the person directly) as they would not get back to us over the course of a month. It has a Factory feel as how you are treated as a patient. Even something as simple as finding out if your doctor will be available the day of performing a procedure is impossible to determine ahead of time. Their e-mail address also does not work! UPDATE: As a response to this review, RMA said they were so sorry and would call me right away.... Its been a full 24 hours and I have yet to receive a call or e-mail. Again, the staff at RMA completely fails when it comes to communicating with its patients. Bedside manner is wonderful, when you are face to face with your doctor the staff is excellent. They have failed in every other respect.
Adding to my original review from my first visit two years ago. I had a successful IVF on the first round and now have my two year old daughter. Extremely grateful and was very happy with my care through every step of the process. My dr has since retired so I’m seeing dr friedenthal for an attempt at another round. She is wonderful, her team responds to emails promptly, the front desk staff is always helpful. Never had a bad experience at any point in the process and any one who has been through this knows there’s a lot of steps/people involved. Still highly recommend.I came here to write my review after my first visit and I am extremely shocked by the negative reviews. Granted it was my first visit but everyone from check in/ check out staff, doctor and ivf coordinator were extremely friendly and helpful. The doctor was very thorough (I was there for a second opinion as I was unhappy with the other specialist I saw). The office itself was a typical office as far as look and cleanliness. I had a great experience for my first time and would recommend to anyone.
I cannot say enough good things about RMA. I’m writing this as I watch my beautiful baby girl taking her nap. My heart is full of joy and gratitude for every single person at RMA. Everyone you come into contact with from reception, blood draws, nurses and all the doctor you will meet are so kind, helpful, understanding and accommodating. I had a 2 losses before seeking fertility treatments and therefore was extremely on edge and scared throughout the process. Dr.stein and his amazing team had compassion and understanding. They gave me my world- my beautiful baby girl and I will be forever grateful and they will also always hold a special place in my heart. If it’s not already totally clear- I highly recommend RMA.
My baby Leo was born 2 months ago and I am eternally grateful for the care and guidance I received at RMA. We froze embryos in 2020 with the help of Dr. Sandler who was amazing. In 2022 we transfered the embryo, with the help of Dr. Buyuk. Dr. Buyuk took over after Dr. Sandler retired. Most of all I loved the nurses. They are the heart of the practice!
I would recommend anyone going through infertility issues to RMA. It’s an amazing practice with wonderful doctors and staff. They operate a white-glove service, providing personal coordinators, nurses, and financial assistants to all their patients, to help navigate the many questions and concerns along the way. I am very grateful to them - especially Dr Flisser.
I recently went to RMA for egg freezing. I was referred to Dr. Copperman by a very good friend of mine who had a great experience with him and got pregnant through IVF. My initial consult with him was fine, but my experience with RMA and Dr. Copperman was very disorganized and uncaring. I had 3 different Fertility Coordinators in a year, and different nurses would call each time with instructions. There was no central point of contact which signaled a high turnover. They don’t show you how to give injections. They also told me that I didn’t have any fertility benefits; when in fact, I have excellent fertility benefits that cover 90%. They also called me half way through my cycle, and said my tests were expired (after a year). I was a bit shocked they didn’t catch this and let me start my cycle with expired tests, which means no one had looked at my charts prior to starting treatment, and they were basing my treatment off of old information. However, my biggest complaint was that my cycle was cancelled on Day 8 with no explanation. A nurse called me to deliver the news, and had no explanation why my cycle was cancelled. I asked to speak with Dr. Copperman and was told his next available appointment was in 2 weeks. I demanded to have a call with him or another doctor sooner, so I could know why my cycle was cancelled. He called me the next day. When I spoke with him, he had absolutely no empathy and basically told me I would not be able to have children on my own, and that I was a good candidate for an egg donor. This was my first cycle, so I was really upset by his delivery and also unwillingness to another cycle. He seemed irritated that he had to call me and was very rude and uncaring. It was a very upsetting call. When you’re dealing with fertility, you need to have empathy for your patients as this is a very emotional process.I went to the Brooklyn location for my monitoring and had a good experience with the doctors there. I wish I would have chosen to work with a doctor there, as I think I would have had a much better experience. I would not recommend RMA. You’re treated like a number with little care or guidance. I’m in the process of going to another doctor to get a second opinion. Save your time and money and avoid this place!
I was referred to RMA by a colleague in late 2019, she worked with them years ago and has two wonderful teenagers now. After browsing the website, I chose Dr. Stein. I could tell from our first appointment that we made the right choice. We were coming from another practice, where we tried IVF three times and had no luck. Dr. Stein was very honest with us about our options moving forward and I truly felt that he had compassion for our situation. It was a breath of fresh air. We made the decision to move forward with RMA soon after our meeting and have not looked back.I have nothing but great things to say. All lab results are back to you the same day. I saw Dr. Stein for most of my monitoring appointment and he was the one that handled my procedures. Everyone is very responsive; I have never waited more than a day for a response to an email or call. They take every step necessary to make sure you are comfortable with your individual situation. Our financial consultant, Cynthia, was patient and informative. She answered all our questions and met with us after work one evening when we could not get to the office sooner. The finance team in general is great. We never had a hiccup with insurance or billing. No confusion!Another standout for me was my designated RN, Dara Berg. Ill miss talking to her, she is knowledgeable, understanding, warm and hilarious.Every appointment and procedure I have had with RMA has been well organized and pleasant. Every interaction I have had with someone at RMA has exceeded my expectations. I have had success with RMA and plan to return to them for another addition to our family in the not-so-distant future.I highly recommend them, especially the West Side Office and Team.
My husband and I tried for 3 years before turning to IVF at RMA. Our second transfer worked, and were currently 31 weeks pregnant thanks to Dr. Klein and the fantastic team at RMA White Plains and Madison Ave. I had to go to all of my appointments alone due to COVID, and the team made me feel completely comfortable and let me record the first heartbeat on my phone so I could share the video with my husband. The nurses were always friendly and responsive to my questions, and I always got a prompt call back. The team who runs the egg retrievals and the transfers were unbelievably friendly and comforting during a process that can be uncomfortable and scary (especially alone). Id recommend RMA to anyone (and have!).
Big fan of Mahalia Bennett :) bloodwork with her is so painless, and she makes this process a little more fun :)
My husband and I tried for two years before we were directed to see a fertility doctor. When I went on my insurance companys website to see who was in my network, Dr. Matthew Lederman came up and after reading the many reviews on he and RMA, we took the plunge and made our first appointment. From Day 1, Dr. Lederman was personable, compassionate, and super thorough. He was always available for questions, always called back the same day, and even though I graduated to my obgyn, I know he will still be there for me if I reached out. We did 4 IUI cycles and sadly they didnt take and we had to end up doing IVF and our first embroyo transfer was a success. Were expecting our first child, a boy, in March of 2022. I am truly grateful to Dr. Lederman and the entire team for making it possible for us to become parents, I am still in awe of this entire process and know that I will always highly recommend the doctor and the entire practice. Dr. Ledermans nurse, who to me is his right hand person, is a dream to work with. She was so lovely from day 1, answered all of our questions, and always available when something came up. I was the patient that always had an issue from my insurance to my meds not being delivered on time, the team always supported me and helped me in every way possible. Struggling with infertility is a real stressful and unhappy situation, but RMA made it a little more manageable. While I dont wish this on anyone, if you have to get fertility help, go to RMA.
DO NOT GO HERE. I dont think there is enough space to write out all the negative experiences I had over my single cycle with RMA. Everything from the people who pick up the phone (who cant give you any information at all, but take your number to have someone call you back...eventually) to booking the appointments to the instructions from the nurses is beyond unorganized, unprofessional and not in the slightest worth the large sums of money they charge for their service...which is more of a dreadful hassle and a painful experience than a service. I only gave them a star because you need to select at least one in order to complete the post, would actually choose 0.Another poster wrote this and I think it sums it up well - This is an already a stressful situation but the team at RMANY is unorganized, uncommunicative and there is absolutely no bedside manner. On numerous occasions I had to call three or four times before anyone got back, ultimately I had to get the office manager involved just to make sure things were going on track. The level of care you receive from your individual doctor is completely absent. They should be making every effort to make their patients feel cared for knowing the money, anxiety and sensitivity that goes into this process and sadly they made the whole experience unnecessarily more stressful. I switched clinics and have had a completely different experience that only emphasizes how terrible RMA is. On top of that, their results and technology are not as stellar as they claim to be. My one star goes solely to the Brooklyn staff who are all lovely and attentive.
My husband and I are very grateful to have received treatment at RMA NY. We had consultations at other fertility clinics which felt rushed or impersonal, but when we had our first consultation with Dr. Mukherjee we knew right away that he and his team were the best people to handle our treatments. Dr. Mukherjee and all of the staff are incredibly sweet and amazing people! Dr. Mukherjee broke everything down and it was interesting to talk about the actual science of fertility treatments with him. Its really interesting!! I always felt comfortable asking questions and felt like the team was listening to me and my concerns/worries.Dr. Mukherjee never pushed any treatments on us and only moved forward in certain directions when we decided it was the right time for us. When my husband and I decided to move forward with IVF after other treatments, we were extremely nervous, but we felt ready and well informed with the tools that RMA gave us. The RMA team was extremely thorough and we were constantly monitored every step of the way. We always had someone reaching out to check on medicines, symptoms and overall how we were feeling.I was really impressed with the timing for monitoring and procedures as well. I was completely able to receive treatments around my demanding work schedule. And they were definitely able to fit me in for any last minute or urgent appointments.Overall, we couldnt have asked for a better experience. Our first round of IVF was successful and were expecting next year. However, even if we were unsuccessful we would have continued treatment with Dr. Mukherjee. We are really looking forward to working with Dr. Mukherjee again in the future and are so grateful to have him and his team in our corner.
Extremely professional, nurses and doctors were all very friendly and responsive. My husband and I were so impressed with how organized and well run the facility is especially considering how busy they are. Most doctors offices would leave you waiting for hours but we were in and out each time. I mainly visited the NYC Madison Ave location but also made several visits to two of their NJ locations and was equally impressed. And the best part... a successful implantation on our first try with IVF and now have a happy, healthy baby boy :) I would highly recommend them and will be returning if needed for our second child.
I had an amazing Experience at this Fertility Clinic and Doctor Mukherjee was amazing. He would make sure all my questions were answered and helped me with each step. This is my second time going there and it is still as great as it was my first time. He helped bring a Miracle into my family and I am grateful for him and his team.
I truly loved RMA of NY in White Plains. All the staff was so pleasant and always welcoming. My doctor, Dr. Klein, and his team were amazing. Always so responsive and always explained things so you would understand. I was a patient there for about 3 years and when my first two IVF rounds were unsuccessful, Dr. Klein was supportive of what you were going through but there to explain what could be done differently, giving you hope again.
I had a poor and concerning experience at RMA and decided to transfer to Spring Fertility. Insofar as my experience may help others in consideration of a clinic, here’s an overview of my very concerning experience with RMA NY.I had my initial consultation with Dr. Flisser and was impressed by his knowledge and guidance. But what I have learned through this experience with the RMA clinic, staff and nurses, is that a qualified medical doctor does not compensate for poor communication and disorganized administrative operations which, in a medical setting, are dangerous.1. I noticed the first red flag early on when RMA sent thousands of dollars of bills to the wrong insurance provider, even though we called to confirm they had the right one. This issue still has not be resolved following dozens of emails with precise documentation of the error.2. No communication and no personalized treatment plan ever shared with me in writing in the lead up to my planned course of treatment, despite multiple efforts to engage their team. I was worried about the lack of documentation and should have gone with my gut and cut losses here, but after months of planning my works schedule around specific timing, I skeptically stayed at RMA3. On the day I was to start treatment, including high doses of RX medication prescribed and ordered by RMA to me, I requested to speak with a nurse to more carefully discuss what was happening. Through an intensive line of questioning -- again, initiated by me -- I discovered that the RMA nurse I was speaking with was unaware of a medication that I was on (and not supposed to be on at the same time as the other meds they prescribed) -- even though I reported this in writing during my intake process, and verbally several times thereafter. If this had not coincidentally arisen in a conversation initiated by me on the day I was supposed to start treatment, I would have gone through a multi-week course of high-dose medical treatments that would have been entirely ineffective and potentially posed a real health risk. Scary to say the least. Also just completely unacceptable.4. After this near miss, the clinic doubled-down by further advising me on the phone later that day as to how to proceed with my medications. During that call, it became clear that the nurse and doctor were STILL NOT CLEAR about the name of the medication I was on — as in, could not provide the name to me — and therefore, the medical advice they were giving me was wrong again.5. After all of the above, I spoke with the doctor the following day, who admitted their mistake and apologized. But tellingly, he did not seem surprised by any of this, or ask me any questions that demonstrated a concern about how to prevent this from happening to future patients. I informed him that I was seeking treatment elsewhere and that my only request was that he facilitate the speedy transition of my medical records. After all that happened, the best he could commit to was to try. I called the receptionist and only after I made clear that if my records were not received I would be down there in person the following day to collect them, the records were sent to me.This place may have talented doctors but the high-volume practice they are running is operationally disorganized—not a place to entrust your health.I transferred my care to Spring Fertility and it has been a night and day experience so far—proactive, communicative, fast, clear and with a plan that has obviously been tailored to my actual chart. I would recommend talking to Spring as a first stop.
While they may be medically very successful, RMA seems to have some issues with their financial department. I received an incorrect bill (that insurance had already covered) 11 months after the service. Then I received another incorrect bill 8 months later. The doctors are ok, so are more friendly / open to questions than others, the nurses and phlebotomists are all lovely, but RMA needs to get their billing department organized. This is part of the overall experience with the practice.
Im shocked to see so many negative reviews! It took me almost 4 years to get pregnant, so I spent many many hours at this place getting poked and prodded, and never felt like anyone was not sympathetic and caring. The staff is wonderful, especially the phlebotomists who you see most often. Any time you call and ask for a nurse to call you back, it happens. So I am 100% satisfied with this practice, and my little boy that is a result of all their work.
Never thought I would experience the level of service we have experienced so far. The doctors are nice but how we were treated by their staff and the way they have handled the follow up of our case says a lot of how organized are they. We never got any follow up calls, nor even a results lab call for more than a month. A couple of days ago a got the bill, funny as I am ask to pay promptly and on time while they charge you without even finished their own part of the deal. I am giving 3 stars just because the doctor was nice, the overall service though has very low standards. We will try to find other options, and I would advise you do too. We wasted money and time here.
We used RMA to conceive our third baby. Dr. Lucky Sekhon was our doctor. I told myself before we successfully concieved that I would write an honest review even if the outcome wasn’t what we hoped because I was impressed by my experience from the beginning. This was first based on the kindness I felt from the staff and doctors. From the front desk who greeted me every day, to my coordinator Jennifer Needle who patiently guided us through the process, to the nurses and staff who drew blood and so on, everyone was consistently kind, understanding, and professional. The clinic has an efficient, data-driven process in place so that it runs like a well-oiled machine, to maximize our odds of success in the most timely manner possible. I know from my experience with other doctors that RMA NY covers EVERY base, giving the right tests, addressing any and all possible obstacles right away, and timing things as perfectly as possible. I know even more now, in hindsight, that I was in excellent hands. My obgyn actually said “wow. Someone was taking good care of you” as he looked at my records.Dr. Sekhon impressed me because she seemed a perfect balance of science minded and empathetic so that I felt I received the best care possible while also feeling emotionally supported. One thing I will point out is that I feel i would have been better prepared for emotional ups and downs if I’d realized that it’s quite normal for an egg retrieval to not result in a viable embryo the first time, and that the second retrieval could produce a very different outcome. I would not have been as crushed when the first one didn’t work, had I really understood this from the start. In the end, I am holding the most perfect 16-week-old baby in my arms as I write this. I don’t think I need to explain my deep gratitude for the people who helped me get here.
Cannot thank Dr. Sehkon and her staff enough. From the first appointment she went through all of our options in simple terms that was easy for me and my husband to understand. She understood my husband and I didnt want to spend a ton of time waiting to get pregnant and was able to give us safe and low costing options to do so. The office worked so efficiently to help us with the pregnancy and my crazy schedule. Fortunately our time there was short as Dr. Sehkon worked her magic. Highly recommend!
We tried a few different facilities before finally settling with RMA East. They are very professional and organized. I liked that it didn’t have a “cattle ranch” feel in which you feel like just another number. They are a well oiled machine.
PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS PLACE. This is an already a stressful situation but the team at RMANY is unorganized, uncommunicative and there is absolutely no bedside manner.
Thanks to Dr Copperman and Dr Rosen, who treated my Asherman’s syndrome, I am now pregnant again within one year!! The doctors and office staffs were compassionate, professional, and excellent in communication. I did not have any scheduling or billing issues with them. I am beyond grateful for their timely and efficient care.
If you are looking for a personalized experience, dedicated to help you in your journey to become a mom- this is not the place. This place is more like an industrial type of setting. Dozens of ladies are seeing every day . You are just a number. I can say I was seen for over a dozen of different doctors on my journey. My treatments were not adjusted even though they failed. I was loaded on hormones unnecessarily. I was advised to use a donor - that I wasn’t able to see a picture of and I had to wait 6 month to obtain. Price wasn’t friendly either. I opt to go to Santa Monica in California it was all worth it and a way cheaper. I wish you the best on your journey. Is all worth it!
THIS PRACTICE IS DANGEROUS. AVOID, AVOID!!!! I want women seeking IVF treatment to know about the frightening experience I had at RMA of NY. During an IVF egg retrieval cycle, I was provided with two sets of instructions as to amounts of medication I was to take. One I received via email, and I followed those instructions. Days later, the instructions appeared on the patient portal (which FYI is never updated with your test results, as they promise it will be) which had instructions saying to take FIVE TIMES the hormone amount as stated in the email. I was horrified, as I thought I had been taking 20% of the intended dose. When I spoke to my doctor, he said: good thing you havent been taking the higher dose, because that could have caused OHSS. THE INSTRUCTIONS YOU SENT ME COULD HAVE CAUSED A DANGEROUD MEDICAL CONDITION AND ITS A GOOD THING I HAPPENED TO FOLLOW ONE, AND NOT THE OTHER?!I have since spoken with two other Reproductive Endocrinologists, who said the higher dose was actually the correct one, and it is possible (of course impossible to know for sure) that I would have had a much higher number of eggs retrieved had I been given the correct dose. A fertility practice that sends different medication instructions and then doesnt own up to their mistake? SCARY.Also, the nurse said they accidentally sent more embryos for Genetic Testing than they intended to. ACCIDENTALLY? What other mistakes are being made? She also said I wouldnt be charged for the embryo sent by accident, and of course I was. Such a sad waste of time and energy, not to mention $20k.In addition to dangerous mistakes, the service RMA provides is terrible. The monitoring is always VERY rushed - I waited three hours once for thirty seconds with a technician (not a doctor) and she didnt even look closely at the follicles, but somehow I was told to trigger the very next day. My confidence in this practice is destroyed and I would hate for other women to go through a similar experience.
I cannot thank Dr Stein and the whole team of doctors and nurses at this office for helping my husband and I receive out little miracle ❤️ we started our first consultation in February of 2020 and by the time we had to start treatment it was March and the beginning of covid. My husband and I were concerned The process will be put off due to the pandemic but I have to give this team amazing kudos for putting a plan in place right away to ensure patients like us were not delayed in the process. We were able to start right away and more importantly had amazing support every time I came in, by now I came in alone, and started each step of the way. Because of the pandemic a lot of women have to go through this process alone when going inside the offices but when you work with this team you never feel alone, I always felt supported and more importantly a great upbeat good group of women working there who make the process easier for me. I’m so happy to say we how have our little baby girl and we could not have done it without the help of Dr. Stein and team, I could not recommend them enough. Our baby girl is now six weeks, healthy, Happy and absolutely “perfect” 😍 thank you Dr Stein!
I had a great experience at RMA on the East side with Dr. Flisser. He was always very warm and reassuring and allowed me to ask many questions. The protocol he chose for us worked on the first try and we are now pregnant after our first IVF attempt! The monitoring hours were super convenient. I was never waiting and always was able to make it in time for work. It was nice to be able to call the nurses with my million questions and they were usually very kind and knowledgeable. I had a few hiccups with the financial department and my insurance, but it was eventually solved. The one thing I would say they could improve is to better prepare me with what to expect. A lot of times I couldn’t even anticipate all the questions I would have and sometimes I’d be home wondering what’s next or how the heck I’m suppose to inject this needle in me?? I didn’t really even get a chance to make decisions on what kind of protocol I would be following, it was just handed to me (though in retrospect it was definitely the right one!) I just wish there was more communication and that the doctor and nurses could kind of predict what information is important or necessary for me to know and tell me beforehand.
Unfortunately, this is not a good place for people looking for supportive fertility care. It is a cold, factory-run environment where critical information about your personal care is not shared with patients (customers). According to their policy, they do not do 3-day transfers, nor to they tell you how your embryos are developing until you get into the stirrups for the transfer. Do not expect that information to be in the portal either. I would honestly give this clinic 0 stars, but I cannot.
Dr Buyuk is the best doctor I have ever had. He is very nice and very knowledgeable. He helped me get through several hurdles during my treatment and I cant thank him enough. He is very genuine and cares a lot about his patients. When i have concerns and i send him messages he will respond back in minutes. He goes above and beyond for his patients. His staff are equally as nice and care a lot about their patients.
I am sitting here writing this review as my 3 month old daughter takes her afternoon nap. Of course she wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the amazing Drs, nurses and staff at RMA. Dr. Flisser was so professional, knowledgeable and understanding and I am so grateful to him and his whole team for making our dreams of having a family into a reality! All the nurses and support staff are phenomenal and got back to me so quickly with all my thousands of questions! Lastly, Dr. Bar Chama treated my husband and we felt like we were in the best hands possible with him. Overall I could not be more pleased and thankful to have worked with everyone at RMA.
Curious, Confused, Bloated, Fulfilled - and very glad I chose RMA of NY:I am 35-years-old in a long happy relationship but both of us are not ready for children. My worries stemmed from can I even have kids to how many eggs do I have left? I went to Dr. Nazem based on research and after discussing the best plan for me (egg freezing), we went right into an exam room and put all my fears at ease.I was immediately appointed an IVF Coordinator, Finance Trainer and a Primary IVF Nurse to start the process. Each step was easy to understand with training videos on how to administer medications, there was personalized paperwork to help keep track of daily shots, and if all else failed a phone call or email was readily available. I never felt alone throughout the process. Each appointment (and there are a lot!) was early and I was in and out within 30 minutes. I spent more time in the uber on most days. Even though they were quick appointments, I always was asked about me and how I was doing. Everyone was always very friendly and considerate of what I was happening. After the procedure I was struggling a bit and the front receptionist walked me all the way to my ride (I wish I would have remembered her name, but I had a lot going on. Thank you for your consideration!). She made sure I was safely on my way home. The bad - I was confused in the beginning with the shot regimen and stressed myself out, shocking but the shots didn’t feel great, I couldnt work out for weeks the way I like to, I was bloated in my lower stomach, trips to the office got old, and I cramped for three days after the procedure (make sure you have a heating pad!)The good - I have given myself a breath to choose when I am ready to have children and to give myself a better chance to live the life I want to lead.I chose Dr. Nazem based on her credentials and what I received was above and beyond a diverse group of women (and some men) who want the best for me and my needs. I found not only a doctor to freeze my eggs, but a facility I will go to for any fertility needs in the future.Thank you to Dr. Nazem, Shira, Geraldine, Tatiana, and all the nurses!
RMA of NYC (east side) made my husband and I parents - twice!! The team of doctors and nurses were exceptionally knowledgeable and kind. Yes, there are a lot of patients, but I still felt like I received one-on-one care and treatment. IVF can be a scary time but they always answered all of my (MANY) questions and walked me through each step of the process in great detail. We used Dr. Copperman and I cant recommend him enough. He is the reason we have our 2 beautiful girls!
I have been a patient of Dr. Steins since 2018 when I decided to freeze my eggs at 34 y/o. Now at 38, I was diagnosed with PCOS so back to Dr. Stein we went! Under his care, we thawed my eggs, made embryos and did our first FET in March. It worked and I am now 9 weeks pregnant and cannot thank Dr. Stein and the RMA team enough for their expertise, professionalism, and kind demeanor. I am so happy I decided to freeze my eggs when I did and found out recently that RMA of NY has one of the best, if not the best, success rates for successful pregnancies from frozen eggs. We will definitely be back for our second child and will forever be grateful for making our dreams of having children possible for us.
I’m shocked at all of the negative reviews on here. I have had a positive experience with every staff member of RMA that I’ve come in contact with. I absolutely love my doctor, Jeffrey Klein and while it is true that this is a large facility I have never felt like just a “number”. In fact, I would say quite the opposite. I had my first baby through ivf treatments at RMA and am in the middle of treatments with them for a second. Unfortunately not as many people who have had positive experiences take the time to write reviews while people who are upset are quick to write reviews. I have had a couple of friends who have also had children through RMA and are very pleased. I highly recommend them.
I came to RMA for a second opinion to Dr. Jovanovic. She was very informative and didnt rush us during our appointment which was good. However she pushed IVF pretty quickly during our consultation. Also we didnt like that she said they are they best clinic in NY and they have the best embryologist. Patients should say they are the best not the doctors. For me when a doctor says they are the best, it sounds very suspicious :-)Financial department is very unprofessional. Caitlyn financial coordinator totally ignored us when we asked her to give us the total out of pocket cost for IUI process (which would have beed 100% covered by Ins). Also they send us bill for ultrasound and consultation at end of January 2020, our appointment was in October 2019, which shows how slow & unprofessional Financial department is. The nurse was very friendly during our appointment gave us her email and told us to contact any time we want. But when I email her to send me my blood result she also totally ignored me. I am very happy I am NOT going forward with them. I wish everybody who need to go to the Fertility clinic do their research and not rush.
Thank you so much Dr Copperman. Not only did he exert extreme professionalism and knowledge, he also had a caring attitude. Im beyond grateful considering I had some really really bad experiences before him.... most notable ...an unnamed boutique in Chelsea was horrible!!! I really liked the efficiency of this place and their commitment to helping make it happen.update***now I have a 10 month old happy healthy baby girl and I owe it to them !! they tried everything until something worked unlike other places that basically told me to adopt or use donor eggs....
Im just now getting to write a review because life with twins has been very busy! Im eternally grateful to Dr. Sandler and Dr. Mukherjee (who did my embryo transfer). During the initial consultation, Dr. Sandler pulled out the text book that HE WROTE to explain our situation thoroughly. We ultimately did 3 IUIs and successfully became pregnant with twins after 1 round of IVF (with ICSI). The physicians are extremely knowledgable, professional and honest. Is the office busy? Yes, very busy - because they are the BEST! People from all over the world come to this clinic for a reason. They pride themselves on results. Our dream came true in 2017 and I continue to recommend this practice to anyone and everyone I meet.
I would give five stars but my rating due to my experiences with the billing department and supportive staff after my IVF. Dr.Stein was excellent, Joanne in billing excellent and most of the nurses were great.
I am surprised at all the negative reviews here. Dr. Stein helped me get pregnant with my two beautiful babies (one IUI and one IVF) and he and his staff were helpful, informative, and caring throughout each process. I spent many hours at this practice and everyone got to recognize and know me and I was always met with smiling faces. I declined many of the optional expensive tests, and they never hassled me about it. I would go there again if I had the energy for a third pregnancy!
From the first moment I entered this office I felt at ease. Everyone is welcoming, helpful and always with a smile. I brought tests that I had done at my Ob/Gyn and Dr. Flisser sat down with me and explained every little detail, things I didn’t even know they have tested for. He also did the ultrasound himself. Later, I met with the nurse (Ariel) who gave me her email in case I had any questions, which I found very helpful. It is my first time going to a specialist (first appointment was 2wks ago) and I feel I have gotten much more done than the last 3 years!
When selecting RMA for your fertility treatments, please keep in mind that your treatment and pregnancy planning is left at the hands of careless administrative staff with attitudes.I was assigned to a girl with a sassy attitude who delayed our treatment by 2 months because she was too busy to send consent forms via email, which essentially IS HER JOB. Her supervisor and colleagues had similar demeanors. Many of the reviews about a factory type of environment are accurate. At RMA on 57th street patients are simply a number. When you go for monitoring (bloodwork), you will encounter a crowded and busy space with no privacy. You will practically be sitting on top of other patients in the crowded waiting area as you wait to be called. Due to the busy and unorganized nature of the office, you may be sitting there for hours. On 2 occasions I waited for close to 2 hours only to find out that they mistakenly skipped my name on the sign in sheet. Please please please review all financial matters in WRITING with their payroll team prior to beginning your process. 5 months after I left RMA I started getting erroneous bills. I emailed and called their payroll team yet they dont respond.Infertility is a sensitive and mentally draining matter. The LAST thing a couple needs is to endure stress from a fertility center whose purpose is to provide a STRESS-FREE environment before and during the fertility process. Please consider other centers that treat patients the way patients should be treated and respected.
We cant thank enough RMA of NYC and Dr. Tanmoy Mukherjee team (Clara, Olivia...)We wanted to thanks them for their support, their help, their professionalism, their empathy, their smile. It all made our fertility journey smooth and we were feeling confident the whole time at RMAWe always felt well listened to and had a whole support team to help us.We would definitely recommend RMA to any of our friends looking for support.thank you again for making our dream come true!!
My husband and I turned to RMA and Dr. Copperman for assistance when we had trouble conceiving. He and his nurses were able to take a very dry and impersonal process and make us feel heard and that our personal circumstances mattered. It is a big office so there are some very efficient administration procedures that can make it feel a little robotic but once you’re in with the doctors that all changes and we are so thankful we got our sweet little boy out of the process.
Do you enjoy hounding medical providers and having no one call you back over weeks at a time? Do you appreciate inconsistent responses to emails that leave you more confused than when you started? Do you like feeling as though time is slipping away from you as you approach your 39th birthday and no one cares enough to actually help you achieve your family goals when that’s supposedly the business they’re in? If so, this is the place for you! Otherwise, do your research and seek guidance elsewhere because this place is consistently incompetent, unhelpful, and non-responsive.Update: You know what’s also great? When you make an appointment 10 days ago for 7:15am at the Brooklyn office, confirm it with both a receptionist and nurse, only to get an automated email the day before telling you your appointment is at the Madison Ave office. Bonus: they send the email after hours so when you call and email back to fix the error, no one can actually fix it until the next morning, which is useless because you’ll already be on your way to Madison Ave after waking up at 5am to get there on time. And all you can do is HOPE you make it to work on time after that because you’re a teacher and 20 students will be waiting for you. 🤬
The Billing department is horrendous. They are so self assured they talk down to you even though they ultimately were proven wrong. They cost me money, stress and anxiety during a time already stressful and anxious. Id reconsider this organization if only because the stress with the billing department. I should mention I shouldnt have had to experience this with an insurance that accepted them as a center of excellence.
Disgusting place with very poor service. The last place you want to go to for intimate services. Not sure why it hasn’t been fined and shut down yet.
If you want to feel like a number then go here. I saw my doctor twice in the five months of care under RMANY. For my consultation, my doctor didnt even bother to do an ultrasound or any other evaluation, but just read my GYNs test analysis. I should have known then that I would get sub par care. There were never any followup calls or explanation of what was going on during my treatment. The office staff is fine, but the receptionist at the soho office was particularly rude and dismissive. Its a factory.
My husband and I are so happy we found the RMA team. This has been the best clinic we have visited with excellent results thus far. All the team members are professional, excellent with time management and very responsive with answering any questions you may have. I certainly would recommend this clinic to everyone who is seeking infertility treatment with excellent professionalism. Keep up the great work RMA team!!!!
I went to RMA after 5 1/2 years of trying to get pregnant with no success. I would not have my little angel i have today without the help of Doctor Murherjee. He really is the best. He is very patient, kind, compassionate and knowledgable. He helped tailor a treatment option that was good for me and my husband. I highly recommend going to RMA if you are having infertility problems. If it worked for me it could definitely work for you too. :)
My wife and i were treated with respect and care. They were very helpful, encouraging and offered great support. We went through the process of doing IVF however we found out that my wife was pregnant (naturally) 1 day before the IVF treatment was to begin (thank God). We are blessed! But if you need help getting pregnant, theyll treat you with kid gloves and kindness - and considering the stress that the patents are under, that kindness goes a long way.
Dr Buyuk, Dara, Emily and the rest of the team at RMA on the UES and Soho are wonderful. They were always patient, helpful and kind during a process that can be confusing and emotionally taxing. The office staff and phlebotomists are great too. I would highly recommend this clinic.
I had a great experience with RMA of NY. I have a beautiful baby boy 3 months old now. After my husband and I tried for along time to conceive. Dr. Eric Fleischer and the staff were very helpful, they guided me with all my treatments ,we were happy to conceive on our very first try. Thank you RMA.
IVF is an utter roller coaster of emotions, and the team at RMA could not have been more kind or patient. We were so grateful to have their expertise on our side throughout this process. Honestly, I can only imagine how hard this process would have been without their guidance. And the IVF worked, which is all anyone going through this wants! Needless to say, we love the whole team there, and are thrilled we went.
I just have words of thanks for everyone who works at RMA OF NY. from the receptionist, nurses and my Dr. Benjamin Sandler and his collaborator Carlos Hernández for making my process the best trip of my life, they really are the best doctors who could touch me always kind and willing to my concerns. I can only say thank you thank you for making my dream a reality. quality is not improvised and they are proof of it because for me they are the best because they are a clinic where they do not make you feel like another patient, if not that you are part of them and that are things that are priceless.
I just completed an egg-freezing cycle with Dr. Lucky Sekhon, and Im very glad I did so. The procedure is expensive, usually not covered by insurance, and may not be the best option for everyone, but it made sense in my situation and I think the cost was worth it.Fertility is very much a matter of genetics and nothing is guaranteed. I was lucky in a sense that at age 37 I had a high follicle count. But that was also a double-edged sword, in that a higher number of follicles leads to more hormone production, more discomfort, and a higher risk of complications. For all of those reasons, Im really glad I went with RMA -- which has a well-established practice with several locations around the city -- and with Dr. Sekhon, who did a great job overseeing my cycle closely and tailoring my medication dosage for the best possible outcome.Egg-freezing is an interesting process. Over a carefully-time cycle, a woman injects herself with hormones to stimulate ovaries and egg production for a period of 10 -14 days, and when ready the eggs are harvested surgically while the patient is under sedation. Every woman responds to this process a bit differently, of course, and so its important patients come in for bloodwork and monitoring periodically to see how things are going.Dr. Sekhon provided an excellent and detailed consultation to let me know what to expect. While I wasnt able to see her each time I came in for monitoring (the physicians do that on a rotating schedule at various locations), she communicated with me, watched my progress closely, and was available if there were urgent questions. And she handled the retrieval. For the most part, the process was well-organized. A patient coordinator helped me find medications for a good price (I was paying out of pocket), and nurses were available over the phone throughout the cycle. It was also relatively easy to come in for monitoring around my work schedule; I could go to whatever location was most convenient for me, and monitoring was usually quick and always conducted relatively early in the morning. As I said, overall I had an excellent result, and Im sure the care I received played a significant role.
If i could give them more stars, I most certainly would ! This place gave me and my husband our happiness back. We got yet another reason to be thankful for! the entire staff at RMA of NY treated us with the utmost professionalism and respect and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. i got the special opportunity to work with Dr. Lederman and his team, and i wouldnt have it any other way. Thank you RMA, you have no idea, what you have done for me and my family. PS: HUGE THANK YOU to Rena, i truly could not have done this without your help and support- youre such an incredible person!
Absolutely do your homework. I was very patient with Dr. Stein but after 6 months of not getting taken care of i gave up. When dealing with infertility every month is painful. He was very dismissive and my 2nd and 3rd opinion Drs said his reasons for hesitation are not anything more than protecting his stats. The anxiety I had for those 6 months was unwarranted as my new doc has never made me feel like she didnt want me to have a family.
Terrible experience! just felt like another dollar to them or should I say couple of hundred dollars! i wouldn’t recommend them at all. Lost my Fallopian tube during the ivf process and never heard from them again after! Never even did a transfer, me and my husband conceived on our own during the medication process nobody even knew we were pregnant they did an egg retrieval got 15 eggs (no eggs survived due to overstimulation) and that’s when we lost the baby, they couldn’t find the baby so they did a dnc that obviously didn’t work so they gave me a medication called methotrexate, a month later to the day I was falling over with pain! i was rushed to the er and had to get emergency surger to remove my left Fallopian tube. The whole experience was just horrible and the Doctor I had has no bedside manner.... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! .
RMA of New York is a money-making lab. Their priority seems to more financial than aiding the patient. Numerous calls were made to set up appointments and price quotes. Once arrived we were hit with unprecedented numbers that were way above what we were told. Do your homework before visiting this facility. Record names of who you spoke with and write everything down. Their website might look professional, but the staff is NOT.
This place is a commercial venue. The doctor Benjamin Sandler made my husband and me to take many expensive lab tests. On diagnostic, he told me that my eggs were very old because I was 42 years old, and I had less than 1% of chance of being a mother. So according to him, the only solution would be the insemination that would start in USD 35,000 with no guarantee. When I sensed the commercial environment, I left the place quickly. I got pregnant naturally one week later after he tried to sell his package. My baby was born very healthy. I feel sorry for prospective parents who still believe in this place.
I went to NYC RMA last month and saw Dr.Flisser who told me I had to lose 16 pounds before he would start treatment. They ran blood test and put me on thyroid medication and told me to contact them when I lost the 16 pounds. I lost the weight in 1 month. I contacted RMA on CD1. The nurse told me over the phone she would send clomid to my pharmacy and I had to go the next day for bloodwork to make sure my thyroid levels dropped. I called the pharmacy twice that day to see if they sent the clomid. They never sent it, but not a problem I have to go in for bloodwork the next morning. I go do the blood work the next morning and I inquire about the clomid. The nurse tells me she will send the clomid and contact me later in the day with the results of my blood work. The nurse calls me later in the day and says my blood work came back fine, but Dr.Flisser said I have a BMI of 45% and in needs to be below 40 %. I said well Dr.flisser told me I needed to lose 16 pounds to start treatment. The nurse said she will speak to him and call me back........SHE NEVER CALLS BACK. I was so upset that the Dr.Flisser and the nurses gave me false hope and deceived me in such a sensitive time. The nurses and Doctor out right LIED to me. I was at work fighting back tears and got so depressed. My insurance covers EVEYTHING, and I refuse to have my money given to a practice that deceives patients. I spoke to a friend of the family who referred me to Kofinas fertility group in Methodist hospital. She got pregnant with twins on the first try there, didnt have to lose weight (shes heavier than me) and has alot of medical issues. Im going there tomorrow, and I pray that they work better than RMA.
Thank you to all the staff at RMA and Dr Mukherjee amazing commitment and dedication from beginning to end. My process took 2 times finally was pregnant on the 2nd round and everyone is there for you every step which I find helpful when your feeling stressed.Would defiantly recommend RMA NY to anyone wishing to go down this route as they made this journey even better for me and my husband. Thank you!!! Xx
Dr. Sekhon is incredible. She is knowledgeable, down to earth, friendly, compassionate, and very professional. Dr. Sekhon and her staff take such great care of you every step of the way. Special shout-out to Kim, one of the nurses. She is a gem of a human and goes above and beyond for the patients.
Unfortunately this place is NOT the place to go if you want a team that cares about your fertility. The staff is extremely unprofessional and incompetent even in the most simplest tasks, its beyond frustrating and sad to say the least specially when dealing with fertility and creation of embryos. You are simply just a number. Embryologists are overworked and make many many errors even in just filling out essencial documents. Imagine the mistakes made during embryo creation IN THE LAB!!!Save yourself frustration and stay away.
As simple task as booking an appointment with this office turned out to a mission impossible event , thanks to their receptionist, name Patricia. Her indifference was clear to me from the first moment she answered the phone and placed me on hold without even asking me if it’s ok . Waited on line, then she finally answered and while looking for availability she accidentally hanged up on me and when I called back- no apology , fine but then she couldn’t spell my name or my e mail address after I spelled it for her multiple times and to top it off , she accused me for having an accent as to justify her inability to spell my name correctly and she said she having a problem to book my appointment because of that ! Sure , my accent was the problem and not the background noises of these loud conversations and laughs of her co workers that I overheard this whole time!!! Patricia, If you not happy with your job do yourself a favor and just quit, as it is absolutely unprofessional and illegal to discriminate people by their nationality ( or accents ) , who are by the way your business’s potential clients, trying to make one of the most difficult decision in their lives.
Very disappointed! This is like a factory, they just want to try protocols on you and don’t even bother to adjust or change even it keeps failing. Waste 2 years here. If you are looking for personalized treatment, don’t go here. Doctors don’t like to be questioned. If you are lucky and young, you will get good result, but I guess this can be worked out any other IVF clinics else, but not due to their special treatment or protocol. Run away!
I was referred here by a friend. My friends doctor was based in the Westchester office and I needed to be able to go to the city office. After looking at the credentials of a few of the doctors here, I settled on and made a consult appointment with Dr. Mukherjee. After meeting with him I decided that I liked what he had to say and got a good vibe from him. I explained that I felt like a sheep in a herd in the previous office I was at. Although this practice is way bigger than the previous office I was at, I never felt like sheep in a herd here. Dr. Mukherjee would even get back to my emails relatively quick. Any time I had an appointment and would see him walk in, for some reason just seeing his face put me at ease. I always felt like I was in more than capable hands and I very much appreciate Dr. Mukherjee and his team.
Reception was super friendly, Christine was super helpful. Thank you!!
Ive had a very good experience with RMA, and in particular, Dr. Flisser. A well run and effective practice. The fertility journey is a challenging one, but I always felt well cared for and in good hands at RMA.
Nurse Lisa did my bloodwork and is great!
They dropped me from their practice with no warning. Im still in shock. I thought I was a pretty undemanding patient-- just wanted some extra monitoring after a couple of miscarriages-- but it seems like they only care about you if they think youre going to shell out for their more expensive services.
This place has had many red flags for me. I tried tirelessly for over a month to get in contact with someone and she would never call me back. The staff seems very disorganized and makes me feel like its either just there to make money or its a scam. After my recent experience I would go somewhere else where they are excited to have you.
Horrible service. Lack of communication, they will only speak with you when the service is ongoing. If you need anything else, you will run around from them. Financial department consist of 1 person and she will never get back to you, it takes months not days to resolve or get an answer from them. I would not recommend them at all.
Dr. Alan Copperman didn’t care about me. I helped him with infertility panel he hosted and when it came time to help me with my infertility needs he was unresponsive. Don’t waste your time with doctor that doesn’t keep their word.
My whole journey with Dr.Mukherjee was so great he’s such an amazing Dr I will always recommend him to everyone I come across that asks me about my experience he’s #1 in my book thank you so much to the whole RMA STAFF YOU GUYS TREATED ME LIKE FAMILY AND I THANK YOU ALL FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT YOU GUYS GAVE ME 💕
I had such a great experience at the RMA Eastside location. The staff was friendly, polite, professional and super helpful. I would recommend RMA to anyone who is in need of their services.
I emailed multiple times, with the requested information to a verified email address they provided, have not received any response in a week, even after a phone call. The email was about pricing / quote.
This place is great . I usally don’t leave reviews but I had to because their Literally the most sweetest doctors I’ve ever met . Definitely if I could , I would give this place OVER a 5 star rating . I 100% recommended this place , all the staff is so helpful and answers any questions you have , and makes sure that your taken care off . Definitely going back 👍
Danielle was incredibly helpful in resolving our issue! This is a big practice, but we selected it due to the excellent reputation of the lab and doctors.
Friendly staff, efficient at vitals, blood draw.
Lisa was great. Quick and thorough
Thanks to Dr. Stein and all of his amazing staff, we are having a baby daughter, and our son is going to be a brother, after years of trying. We can’t thank them enough.
Stay away - worst care and customer service my wife and I have ever experienced. RMAs team of administrators are unfriendly and downright rude in their approach.
Worst experience ever! Stay away!
Thank to this specialist I have a beautiful daughter, I have to be always thankful to this clinic in special thank to Dr. Benjamin Sandler My daughter have now 15 months.
Beth was the best doctor for us. She was really awesome.
This place is so dirty whoever is cleaning this place needs to be fired, the place is disgustingly dirty for a place that makes babies please do not come here to make a baby especially the 59th street location is the dirtiest
This place is freaking stupid ahhhhhh fill out patient infor every time!!!
Aisha was AMAZING!!
I would give more star but I’m not happy about this place I’m very disappointed I stopped going to this clinic.
Extremely friendly staff, made me feel very comfortable.
Thank to NYCRMA I have my first son his is now 15 yrs old ...
Best service
Lizbeth is amazing! I’m a tough stick and she always gets it right. Best part - doesn’t hurt!
The doctor treated me very well!! Also, if I give the employees 3 stars, it is because if you pay $450 for your consultation, it is outrageous that in the final part, when they send you to wait for the financial advisor, they make you wait an hour and a half until I get tired and ask them if the advisor was on the way, THEY WERE NOT EVEN AWARE that someone was waiting for the advisor, they werent even on their way!! I had to leave. It seemed disrespectful to me to wait so long for someone who wasnt going to arrive soon and who knows how much longer I was going to spend there...
I dont know how much money I spent there, I only know that it was a lot and without results. We only saw Dr. Stein the first day and after that he only left us messages with his nurses or secretary, we did 4 intrauterine inseminations that were negative and everything pays because our Medical insurance does not cover infertility, after all that we requested an appointment with Dr. Stein and he only told us that he could no longer continue treating us because what was next was IVF and it was very expensive and that we did not have medical insurance and that we did not We could pay, without wondering if we could do it or not, thats why we went to another clinic where a woman treated us. Very kind, she looked for all the ways to help us and happily we are pregnant.
My experience with RMA new was bad, they only care about time and money 💰 and as a patient you dont count and everything you hear about them is sorry we can try again I dont recommend it after 3 ivs
Mahalia was amazing!
Mahalia is amazing!!
The worst clinic I have ever seen, they dont help at all, they only care about your money.
