After multiple unexplained early miscarriages we were recommended to contact Dr. Scher who came upwith a diagnoses and plan that resulted in us having our miracle baby. Dr. Tortoriello and the staff at Scher Fertility were so supportive during the process and easy to get in touch with to address any questions and concerns. We are so grateful that we did not give up on our dream to have a second child and trusted Dr. Scher’s confidence in his protocol to have a successful pregnancy.
Dr. Tortoriello and the entire staff at SHER are absolutely wonderful. From the moment you contact their office, you feel at ease. Everyone is extremely helpful, patient, and attentive to your individual case. You never once feel alone in your journey as there is someone there to guide you every step of the way. Dr. Tortoriello has wonderful bedside manner. He is compassionate, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. My husband and I are so grateful to Dr.Tortoriello for helping us bring our first baby into this world 3 years ago, with another on the way. Thank you to the entire SHER family. You will always hold a very special place in our hearts!
I cannot express enough gratitude for Dr. T and the entire team at Sher Clinic. From the very first consultation, Dr. T demonstrated exceptional knowledge, compassion, and dedication. Their expertise in fertility treatments is unparalleled, and their personalized approach made a world of difference in our journey.Dr. T took the time to explain every step of the process, ensuring we felt comfortable and informed. They were always available to answer our questions and provided great support. The staff at Sher Clinic also deserves a special mention for their professionalism and kindness. Keti (Ketevani) was particularly outstanding, always making us feel valued and cared for.I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. T to anyone seeking fertility treatment. Their dedication and expertise have truly changed our lives, and we are forever grateful.
I honestly cant recommend Dr. Sher or Dr. T enough! We did 2 retrievals and 3 transfers prior to taking a consult with Dr. Sher. I had a general idea of the reason(s) behind my failure and he solidified every single one of them, along with providing in-depth details as to why my suspicions were correct. Prior to taking a consult with Dr. Sher, I had thrown in the towel. I was done with IVF; I just wanted answers. After the consult, I decided to give it it one more go with our hail mary retrieval. Whatever came of it, wed [hopefully] transfer and walk away from.Ive only been pregnant through IVF. My 1st retreival- fresh transfer- which ended in a spontaneous MC at 7w. I went on to have 2 more transfers from that cycle, both failed. I had a biopsy to rule things out. Then went onto another clinic where we did another retrieval- botched cycle.... 1 poor day7 embryo. Then we switched to Sher. He did autoimmune testing and confirmed my suspicions. We did a new retrieval and threw everything we could at it. Im a long stimmer by nature so it took awhile for the eggies to grow. We also tailored my transfer protocol to my new found autoimmune Dx.We walked away with 3 good embryos- 2 PGT-A normal. Ive been pregnant 3 times, 2 from this cycle and were lucky enough to have both cycles result in LB. After all the IVF failure, I thought for sure Id never have a baby. I never in a million years would have predicted a 100% (100!!!!!!) success rate. The office staff is good. Having phone numbers and emails for direct communication is amazing. Irana and Cecilia are the best coordinators/nurses. I had no issues with billing. If youve had previous failure, look no further. Literally. Book the consult. You wont regret it. Ive sent so many people their way for consults after theyve not had positive results/ multiple failed IVFs and they were also successful.
Dr. T. and his staff are top of the line. After years of infertility and many different doctor visits, Dr. T. was the only doctor willing to try it all. He explained everything in a level of detail that made me feel comfortable and he always took the time to answer all my questions. He is so personable that it was easy to just reach him through email. He went above and beyond and was very accommodating since I was coming from another state. Also, all his staff is so helpful and kind, very compassionate and willing to help in any way possible. Thanks to Dr. T, and his staff I was able to build my family through 2 pregnancies. I am very grateful to his work and level of expertise and willingness to help couples build their families. I am very thankful to God for putting Dr. T and his team in our paths.
I have a two year old and am 21 weeks pregnant with another baby because of Dr. Drew Tortoriello. I have truly had the best experience with Sher. I used another practice in NJ in Milburn and it was a disaster, resulting in me feeling the lowest I’ve ever felt. I went to Sher to Dr. T and he made time for me and made me feel heard. After a failed embryo transfer, I set up time with Dr. T to understand what other options I had besides just trying to transfer another embryo. He walked me through what was considered to be the typical process and shared additional testing that I could do. What I most appreciated was he gave me the facts and let me make the decision of how to proceed whereas the other doctor I went to fed me his own opinion with multiple “reassurances” which led to me spending thousands of dollars with zero outcome. I moved forward with additional testing for myself and my husband which resulted in me discovering I needed a few extra things (intralipid infusions and vaginal probiotics) to help make my transfers successful. The very next embryo transfer led to my baby boy.Dr. T is professional, gentle, and will always answer all of your questions without making you feel rushed or stressed. He has a calming nature about him which helps in a naturally anxious situation. AND you can email him directly and he actually responds back in a timely manner!Lastly, the staff at Sher is unmatched!! I have been going here since 2020 and can’t say enough great things. Ketevani (aka Kathy) is a pro and has the warmest, funny, and welcoming personality. Evelyn is like your rock, working behind the scenes, making sure you’re completely taken care of and rooting for you. Bushra is like the Queen of Sher and ensures you get everything you need at the speed of light.I’m so grateful for this team of experts. If we decide to go for baby #3 after this little one arrives, there’s no doubt I’ll be coming back to Sher and Dr. Tortoriello. Thank you, team. For everything.
After multiple Ivf cycles with no success that either didnt take or resulted in miscarriages, I was referred to sher by a former patient. The reason I loved sher was because it was not like a typical factory like RMA and northshore where l previously was a patient. Sher had much more advanced medical protocols like the infusions, vitamins to help with egg quality, and steroids to increase egg quality along with other medications during the cycle. Dr. T was always professional, caring, and calm. From the front desk, nurses, to even the girls in the back..... Everyone was friendly and compassionate. Because of sher I have a beautiful 4 month old sweet baby boy! They were my last resort and they gave me my miracle baby. I wish I would have know about them years ago when I started my journey .
I have had the great pleasure and experience with Dr Sher in helping my husband and I with our fertility struggles. I cant thank him and the center enough in at least giving us answers as to why we have such difficulty getting pregnant. His assistant Patti is the sweetest and kindest. Shes perfect in her role with helping clients in an otherwise stressful time of trying to have a baby. She is so punctual (also so are the doctors and staff) and great to work with. The front end staff has been amazing as well (Cathy, you are so sweet!). The nursing staff were so helpful during our egg retrieval. And of course doctors have been great as well ( thank you Dr T!).Afrer some blood tests (immunology and genetic testing) were diagnosed with having an alloimmune issue with a partial DQALPHA HLA match, which isnt a good prognosis. Knowing this the doctors had me take prednisone and lipid infusions on top of the Estradiol and Progesterone to help with the implantation and we were able to get pregnant on our 2nd attempt. I am due next month with a baby girl. I cannot thank Dr Sher and his colleagues enough for this amazing gift!
Dr. T and the whole team at SFS are incredible. They are trustworthy, intelligent, caring and most importantly deliver results. Thank you for making our dreams come true! Highly recommend.
My wife is currently in an extreme case having super low ovarian reserve (
I cannot thank this fertility clinic enough for the wonderful care and support they provided during my IVF journey. Doctor Tortoriello and his amazing team made our dream come true. Our little bundle of joy was born thanks to him and we cannot thank him enough. This place is top notch! If you are searching for an excellent fertility clinic, this place is the one. You are in good hands with Doctor Tortoriello. He is very competent, professional, flexible and transparent. He fully listens to your personal needs and concerns and guides you in the best direction according to your specific case. In addition to the regular in person consultations, Doctor Tortoriello is very prompt in responding to every inquiry you may have via email which is extremely helpful. The front desk lady and nursing staff are phenomenal as well and will address any concerns/needs that may surface. As a whole, I have had a wonderful experience with Sher Fertility and I highly recommend them. You won’t be disappointed.
Update we have a healthy happy baby boy! We couldn’t be more happy and thankful to Dr Sher and Patti - We are truly blessed -…..We are pregnant with our second son thanks to Dr. Sher and Patti! We have a son born in 2021 and ready to meet our second next month. We are so thankful for Doctor Sher to help us make our dream come true! After five years of trying and three Canadian If clinics unsuccessfully, we finally found Dr Sher. Following his experience and expertise, we have been blessed. Thank you Dr Sher and Patti The experience has been 10/10! Never give up!
I had an amazing experience at Sher Fertility. Dr. T and the rest of the team are simply extraordinary! They treated me with such compassion and care throughout every stage of my IVF cycle. The protocol that was used for my treatment was thoroughly explained to me at the onset of the cycle and I received an email after every visit with specific directions to follow, along with a detailed calendar with all my medications. Calling the clinic with ANY questions was always easy and someone was always available to answer my MANY questions, either via phone or email. After a long fertility journey and unsuccessful IUI and IVF cycle at another facility, I am so glad that I came to Sher fertility. Today I feel overjoyed with my treatment’s success. I’ll be forever grateful to the Sher Fertility Team.
My experience was wonderful with Sher and Dr. Tortoriello. His nurses were great and called often to see how all was going for me. They really made me feel cared about. I did IVF elsewhere that never yielded much eggs, but when I did IVF at Sher I got 12! I have a beautiful son and daughter now. They are the best.
They were able to schedule me quickly to meet with the doctor and I liked him. Unfortunately he ordered blood work for me almost 5 weeks ago and his staff seems unable to put it in despite many follow ups and promises I would have an update. Very disappointed and would not recommend wasting your time and money.
Sher Fertility is an excellent clinic that is well run and easy to work with. Dr. T is kind and compassionate and truly cares about his patients. The clinic provides an individualized approach and never makes you feel like just another number. Dr. T blessed me with two beautiful sons and I cannot say enough good things about him and the clinic. If youre deciding on a clinic, this is the place to go!
Dr. T and his amazing team made our dream come true! We can never thank them enough ❤️ They use the newest knowledge in the field and personalize the protocol. Plus they answer e-mails very promptly. Highly recommend!
Sher Fertility Solutions was highly recommended by my oncologist and I see why. Theyre consummate professionals, compassionate, and truly care about the patients experience. From beginning to end I felt seen, heard, accommodated, and supported. Everyone from the security officer to the receptionist, nurses, and doctors were AMAZING and each played an integral part in my journey. I cant thank Sher Fertility, Dr. Tortoriello (Dr. T), and his WONDERFUL team enough for an AMAZING experience and AWESOME outcome. Blessings in abundance to you all.
I will not recommend Sher and Dr.T . I had 3 IVF cycles with Dr.T and I regret that I didnt switch clinic after the first not successful one. The same protocol was repeated over 3 times with different dosage, even from the first cycle was clear it was not working for me. Every ltime there were no options or explanations why are we doing this and why not doing transfer or analysis what was wrong on previous one. The doctor and nurses expect you to know everything about IVF- needles and medications without any explanations. They give you 70 page consent paper, to read and find out yourself, or dig in the internet.I admit that Dr. T answers emails right away, however for your 5 questions you get 1 line answer. He doesnt talk much, only if you ask he will answer your questions; if not then just follow whats prescribed. Monitoring visits are short and you will not get a chance to ask questions or talk to the doctor. Nurses are also too busy or shorts staffed, that you cant reach them timely. All this silence vacuum makes you even more nervous and stressed out. This is a boutique clinic; however, no one will hold your hand or even dedicate their time to talk to you and listen to your concerns. Reason i came to Sher clinic in first place, I thought its good that one doctor sees you and does all procedures, however this way the greater chance of only one view and mistakes which noone checks. Also Dr.T manages clinic, meaning he controls bills, staff; payroll etc. besides seeing patients. Sher clinic might was good 10 years ago, but not today. From the view of their exam rooms: their curtains in exam rooms are probably there since opening- so old and dirty; the ceiling and sonogram machines are covered in dust, I cant imagine a lab is being better.I am writing this review after stressful and tough year with Sher. I wish they had better care and compassion for their patients, as its hard go true infertility treatments in a silence vacuum. I felt all they wanted to do more procedures so they get paid more.I hope someone from Sher will read this and make improvements.Their pr team replied to this review and asked to contact them. I left the clinic a long time ago, and no one called when i was a patient to ask how I am doing and no one called to ask, Why did I leave? So Sher or PR team, if you really care about your patients, call and follow up with each patient and ask how they are doing. And call ones who disappeared and did not come back to ask how they are and why they left. So maybe you will find me then. You care about good PR, and start caring about people first!🫶
If I could give Dr. T 50000 stars, I would. There are many doctors to choose from, but Dr. T is exceptional. He is very professional, detail-oriented, and competent. He made me feel comfortable throughout the egg retrieval and the transfer process since I already get extremely embarrassed very quickly! I wish he could be my GYN, PCP, and any other doctor I need. He is very professional, detail-oriented, and competent. He explained everything to me thoroughly from beginning to end, and my treatment was tailored to my body, and it wasnt one fit protocol. I have a positive first beta and cannot thank Dr. T enough for getting me to this point. Dr. T, you rock!!!! Im fortunate to have you as my physician!
Dr. Sher, Dr. T, and the entire team at Sher Fertility Solutions gave my family the precious gift of a second son. Dr. Sher accurately diagnosed my fertility issue, and I am so grateful for the treatment protocol that contributed to me having a successful delivery.Dr. Sher diagnosed an alloimmune implantation dysfunction (partial DQ-alpha match and activated natural killer cells) which was the cause of a prior chemical pregnancy of a euploid embryo with another clinic. The intralipid/prednisone protocol that Dr. Sher had me on until 22 weeks of pregnancy worked. My chances of getting pregnant with my own eggs and my husbands sperm was extremely low given my extremely low ovarian reserve (AMH 0.1), having activated natural killer cells, and my husband and I having an alloimmune disorder (partial DQ-alpha match). We only had 1 euploid embryo in storage prior to coming to Sher, and I knew the best chance that I had of pregnancy (approximately 33% for 1 euploid embryo, a very low probability) would be under Dr. Shers immune protocol. Thanks to Dr. Shers agonist, antagonist conversion protocol, we were also able to get 1 more euploid embryo currently cyro-preserved. Dr. Sher also answered my phone calls each time I had an emergency throughout the pregnancy. I had a short cervix around 21 weeks of pregnancy, and I am so grateful that Dr. Sher advised that I have my cervix stitched closed if my cervix began to shorten too quickly. This was a long journey, and the MFM doctor and my OBGYN realized everything that was at stake (all the fertility treatment) and approved of the cervical cerclage once they knew that Dr. Shers general recommendation, as a pioneer in the field of IVF was to have my cervix stitched closed. This was an extremely long and arduous journey for both me and my husband (3 fertility clinics, 4 IUIs, 5 IVF egg retrieval cycles, 2 embryo transfers, and numerous diagnostic tests for both me and my husband) and we will forever be grateful to Sher Fertility for everything the team did for us to have my beautiful and healthy second son.I hope Dr. Sher never retires, and I think he is the best IVF doctor in the world. I am so happy that I came to know Dr. Sher, Dr. T, and the entire SFS team. I know it was all in Gods divine plan for me to seek fertility treatment with Sher Fertility solutions to have my second son born. May God forever bless the entire organization for all the help and assistance that they provide to those struggling with infertility.Regards - Annet
I had a consult with Dr. sher after 3 failed transfers. He gave us some recommendations and the best path to a family. He did another retrieval for me, and I had the other DR, Dr. T do my transfer. And I am officially pregnant. I live in a different state, but the clinic made it so easy on me. They are amazing at communicating with me more than my local clinic was. And Dr. Sher is SO knowledgeable. He’s been in the business for so long and seen it all. If you are thinking of coming to this clinic, I would have a consult with dr. Sher and switch. This is the best decision we’ve ever made and are thankful everyday for Dr. Sher, Dr. T and their team. I hope the next person reading this gives them hope that it is possible
What a sweet and dedicated group. I did ovary PRP therapy and 2 IVF cycles after that. Each cycle was a success in that I got one perfect embryo to implant. I never ever got so far before. Thank you so much Dr. T and Sher.
I think fertility treatments are a very emotional service topic and as such you’re going to have very happy and very upset customers. Every case is different and dynamics between doctors and patients are going to vary. I worked with Dr T and had a very positive experience. I felt a cooperative approach and heard through the process. Our first transfer was unsuccessful. Our second resulted in our baby boy. They were the second clinic we went to and I had a much better experience with them than my first (in Canada). Planning to head back for another transfer of our frozen embryos. 🤞🏼
We were previously at another clinic for 2 years before transferring to SHER. We did tons of research and settled on SHER because we felt they would think outside the box rather than treat us as one of the herd. We couldnt have been more right. From the start Dr. T looked at our case and made suggestions that our previous doctors refused to consider. Throughout the process he continued to look at our case with fresh set of eyes. He was not afraid to stand his ground and not compromise when he felt the results were not up to his standards. He always answered questions promptly, even once when I emailed him at night. And the staff never made me feel like I was being crazy, even when I felt that I was. The staff was great, from the front desk, to the nurses to the biller. When I finally transferred to my OBGYN, I received hugs and support all around.Approximately 5 weeks after we were pregnant, we had a scare. Id been at the office earlier that day and when I got back to work I noticed a problem. I called them and they told me to come right back in. They kept the office open for me and my husband as I rushed back there. Dr. T and the nurses were so calming. They stayed in communication with me throughout the experience and when we had another scare a few weeks later and were out of state, I was able to email Dr. T and receive a response immediately. Now that little one is sleeping in his crib. We did get pregnant with SHER, which Im sure plays a role in our feelings about them but still I feel we received much better, more individualized treatment than our previous providers.
I am questioning my sanity, why do I pay for painful procedures with statistically low success rate and subject myself to a bunch of idiots who dont even pretend to like me?! Absolutely rude and lazy customer service. On the 1st time I emailed my forms diligently but the representative did not forward to the nurse office. So the office cancelled my appointment without calling me, just a discreet email notice that went to my spam. Recently I call to make appointment. I was transferred twice so I made a casual comment the customer service outright said it is my fault to call the wrong extension. Really?! The doctor is nice but I know she is all out for my money.
An amazing, caring, kind man and doctor. When other doctors refused to work with me, he did. I had my child when all told me it would never happen and I still have hopefully, with his help, more to come.
A very different experience to another clinic we used. At Sher they answer the phones, they spend time with you, they answer all your questions. Theyre kind and calm. They dont dismiss other factors to support fertility like diet and supplements. And Dr Oehninger was great - very clear, kind and responsive. However, I would advise absolutely NOT using the acupuncturist, Metropolitan Acupuncture, advertised in Shers office - it was the worst experience of acupuncture I have ever had that has damaged a nerve, and the man who is the sole acupuncturist at that operation has refused to speak with me or my doctors about this injury. A very upsetting and stressful experience in the midst of IVF.
I have no words left to thank them. Amazing medical professionals who see people as they are and treat patients with so much empathy. Absolutely the best I have come across. Wonderful services and very kind staff. Special shout out to Patti for being so kind.
Money is their top priority. They will push procedures on you just to bill. On a visit, when a doctor was asked a specific question, the doctor had to look up the medical file to be able to answer. she didn’t even know my wife’s medical case and situation. They have no time or interest in their patients, they prescribe the same treatments like an assembly line in a factory. We ended up spending over a year with 0 results and crazy bills. But hey, it’s in a prime location in New York and has swanky offices.
Sher Fertility (SIRM) has amazing staff, prompt appointments & most importantly Dr. Cary Dicken was amazing. Very compassionate and she paid very close attention to our needs. I underwent 2 IUI treatments within 2 back to back cycles. The second cycle medicated with clomid was a success and my wife and I have welcomed our beautiful baby girl on Feb 4 2019. We are looking forward to working with Cary Dicken again as we plan on doing reciprocal IVF & I’ll be using my wife’s egg to extend our family. I highly recommended this facility!
Im breastfeeding my 8 day old son. He was born as a result of IVF - FET.Are fertility treatments painful and expensive? Yes. Do they work? Sometimes. As a patient I was able to develop an excellent rapport with Dr Cary Dicken, and to advocate for myself to get custom treatments. My body always overreacts to medicine, so we have developed a plan with micro IVF, and then natural cycle fet. Dr Dicken wanted a more aggressive treatment at first, but she willing to work with what I wanted including a kind of useless dry run prep iui cycle, which confirms I overreact to medicine.Well fresh cycle IVF 1 was torture, but natural style frozen with leftover stored embryos fets were so much easier on the body. Lots of prayer from my friends around the world, and the last embryo took and became a baby! Im grateful to Sher, Dr Cary, God, and my support circle for the miracle of life.
Horrible experience. After 4 rounds of IUI and 2 IVF with no results I did one IUI with gen next and GOT PREGNANT! There labs are old and can cause many issues within the process. Also I received a test that was out of network without being told and was billed $4,412! They have one method of doing IVF and even though I requested a new method I was never given one. The doctors also go on their own vacations for weeks at a time which can really interfere with your treatment. Do yourself a favor and go to a clinic that has better lab quality and will work harder for you.
Dont do that to yourself, please. I am traumatized by this practice.- the Dr are not reliable. I had 36 eggs retrieved. I had to take medication during one week after the retrieval ( additional cost 1500$) to decrease the blooding, only 19 fertilized.I went to an other practice (RMA NY ) 30 eggs, 29 fertilized, no medication after the retrieval, no blooding, shorter cycle!- I was running out of medication, they was nice enough to help me until i received by meds with EXPIRED MEDICATION. I noticed that 3 days after!!!!! Can you believe that, they gave me expired medication!- I got one of the eggs they retrieved transfered by RMA. I was pregnant for 10 weeks. Then we discovered the embryo has some genetic default which should have been discovered during the genetic testing they have done (very expensive). I am sure they took the money and didnt test the embryo . Thank to them i am 10 weeks pregnant and I am just waiting to have this fetus dies into my body as it had genetic default!!!!! Can you imagine the trauma.- They obviously failed at an other transfer I did with them.- They charge you for everything. Everything. They just care about the money . You are a number with a $ value no more. I think they dont want you to be pregnant as they will make more money if you arent.Just dont do that to yourself
Great experience, currently on my fertility journey. Amazing staff, very friendly.
Visited many IVF clinics in Manhattan, but this place was the best, and Dr. T gave me two beautiful daughters. I can only thank them!
Rude customer service they need to learn how to speak to Patients. Not a friendly no manners
When you work with Doctor Tortoriello you are in good hands.
Absolutely the best, compassionate, caring facility. Dr. Wang is a gem!!
Worst experience ever- everything is about money and they don’t even care about you. I absolutely don’t suggest
Def dont go there all about the money..i am having the ny times writing a story about this place.best of luck
The best RE on East Coast is Dr Jeffrey Wang!
