This organization does the exact opposite of what it claims to do. AVOID at all costs. They are far too disorganized to offer the services they claim to offer and are likely just living off of government grants based on false information.I tried to get tested on three different occasions, booking time off work. On the first attempt, I made an online appointment on their website. When I arrived, the individual responsible for testing gets called away for an emergency. On the second attempt, I call in the morning and am told to arrive between 10AM and 12PM. After I arrive, the individual doing the testing claims that all their tests have expired so they cant do the testing. Today, I called before coming and am told that yes, there is drop in testing. I informed them I would be there within an hour. I showed up within a half hour of calling and after I arrive, am told that while the person who does testing is available, the computer is locked up and the person with they key is in meetings and then they want to refer me to their office in Midtown -- a good 20-30 minute subway ride away. This organization has zero idea what it takes for people to come in for testing. In my case, I have to do it by booking time off work and even when appointments and phone calls are made ahead of time, they still come up with the dog ate my homework excuses as to why testing cannot be completed.AVOID this organization at all costs. It is harmful to both your physical and mental health. In my case, I have resorted to paying for testing. When I lived in other cities, similar organizations were far more accessible.
The only thing these people might get is that a negative times a negative is a positive. Annoying and impersonal, these are the type or relentless and ineffective “helpers” you want to avoid. Go elsewhere.
