My first visit was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and professional, from the front office, medical assistants, and providers. I had my first pap done here and Dr. Kim made it so comfortable. It didn’t hurt at all. Also got my labs drawn here at the same time so it’s lovely. I had issues with my meds and they fix it by the end of the day. I’d definitely come here again.
They treat you with respect, wait time is not long, the only Thing I don’t like is that they have nurse and social worker giving consult, they are allowed I know, but I prefer a more prepare professional, because I am poor it doesn’t mean I don’t have importance, therefore I will find another place.
Lil Dominican Republic Washington Heights Community Health Care Network League Community is THE SY EVE.ITS THEIR GLORY TO BE IN THEIR ORDERLY CARE.💆💚🥂🤑😇👿🫶. 👉👈👆✌️👇☝️🤘🤝
Dont go here. They screw up apts all the time & it takes forever to get an apt. They call you at inappropriate times. Rude front desk. They dont greet you when you come in. The drs are stupid and have no idea what they are doing unless tou tell them. They dont read their notes on you. Unfortunately, its the only place that takes most insurances.
I have been going to this place since I was 15. I am currently 27, at the beginning yes it was great. But now it has become extremely frustrating when it comes to waiting time. I waited today almost 3 hours for a Pap smear that I wasn’t even due for. The nurses are kind and the young doctors are as well but it just isn’t worth it. I wasted my time and am late for another errand that I needed to get done. I am extremely bothered by the fact that, that was not a concern for them to check when I needed a Pap smear before scheduling me for one. I am going to begin looking for another primary doctor/clinic because this cannot be the best the heights has to offer. They need much more organization.
I’ve visited the both the Washington Heights and Harlem locations and received excellent care & service. It takes a while sometimes to get them on the phone, but other than that I’m utterly confused about the poor reviews. The nurse practitioners and doctors are competent and I’ve not experienced long wait times as I have at other clinics. Perhaps it’s the time that I go which is in the morning or early afternoon. Additionally, before I lost my job I had excellent insurance and went to many high end private doctors’ offices. I’ve found this clinic to be comparable or better in every way. I’ve found my experience with this clinic to be friendly, patient-oriented, down-to-earth, & efficient. It’s clean & everything is connected through technology so you can go to either clinic & they have your information & history on file. They call in prescriptions quickly & don’t make you feel embarrassed to ask questions. They’re patient & explain everything. Whenever I leave a message, a health care professional calls me back within 48 hours (from a private number so you have to remember that & not decline the call!). On the whole, I highly recommend this clinic, particularly the nurse practitioners Evelyn & Amanda. But everyone is nice & professional. I’ll continue to visit this clinic even after I’m off Medicaid & get insurance from my new job.
I’ve been a patient here for over 6 years. Theyve cared for me my entire pregnancy. The front staff has always been super nice and super helpful. The staff in general has always been superb. 100% on their office manners. However the wait time is IMPOSSIBLE. I’ve never gone in and not had to wait hours. It’s like 2-3 hour minimum wait. It’s crazy. Appointment or not. It doesn’t help that their location past and present has the worst service so you can’t even text/call anyone once you get to the back. Also it’s ridiculously hard to get an appointment that isn’t a month away. Those 2 reasons are why I bumped them down 2 stars. But you’ll still have a lovely experience if you don’t mind the wait.
Unfortunately I’m reviewing without having seen any actual doctors here because I never got past the wait time. As a new patient I arrived early to fill out paperwork and after waiting an hour after my scheduled time, I asked for an update. Thankfully I did because I was told there were still two patients ahead of me. I was then offered another appointment... a month away. Mind you it took me a month to get an appointment here in the first place. I spoke to the manager who was extremely helpful and got me a slot with a nurse practitioner the following week, but I have to leave a warning for future patients as I see from other reviews this is a pattern and I’m skeptical I won’t have to wait another hour when I go next week. The front desk staff is very kind and the manager very understanding but the wait time alone was worth a 1 star review.
Extremely disorganize. They just don’t care about the patient at all. I don’t know why this place exist. I was schedule to a phone call appointment, the doctor never called me and I waited all day long. I called next day and they just apologized and made another phone call appointment. They kept doing all that to me for a whole week. Three phone call appointments that I never receive not even a voice mail, a text messenger or an email regarding about it. Until today I’m still behind on my medication. It looks like they call you whenever they feel to. If you care about your health just don’t come to this place.
Insanely long wait time. I arrived for my 11:40 appointment for a procedure that took no more than 5 mins however I didnt end up leaving until 1pm. No one updates you on whats going on or apologizes for the excessive wait time.On my first visit to get lab work done, I was asked to go to the restroom to leave a sample (I was not told the exam was done). So I left my bag and belongings in the lab room and went to the restroom. When I came back a few minutes later, the nurse had another patient in the room and had pushed my stuff asked. I had to awkwardly walk into another patients exam to grab my things.Extremely unprofessional and overall a very frustrating experience. Will not be going back.
I dont have any issues with clinic. Everyone is always friendly and nice. I just wish the doctora were more consistent.Edited to add the how much I appreciate the conversation I had with the director about my constantly changing doctors. She explained the reason and Im looking forward to having a PCP I can see regularly! 🙂
I am extremely pleased with the services I have received at community health network throughout the past 7 years.I am MOSTLY satisfied with the care and support I have received fromNurse Practitioner Ashley Knutson…she is AMAZING!Ashley is knowledgeable, caring, patient, responsive, reliable, and a overall truly altruistic health practitioner. I recommend her and clinic 100%
Im a psych patient at this clinic -- they have a friendly staff, and great doctors. They also took me in as a patient when I had no insurance, and still provided great care. I feel lucky to live in NYC, where we have access to these services. Thank you CHN!
This is the 2nd and last time I visit this clinic! After changing the a private insurance I was referred to the clinic I made my appointment at 11am which I arrived a couple minutes early it took them 40 minutes just to have the nurse come take my vitals and was sat again in the waiting area. After waiting 50 more minutes I called it quits and proceeded to the front desk to let the girls know I was leaving but as per usual they were all huddled up in a little office by the reception desk. After basically almost wasting 2 hour of my life just sitting in the waiting area to get a refill on my birth control contraception because on the first visit she on gave me 3 refills instead of 6 just to have me come back to this hell hole. Never again will I go to this clinic or recommend anyone.
Give yourself at least 4 hours for an appointment, even if its just to have a conversation with your doctor about your test results. I dont know a good way to call and leave messages either... mine are never returned, and I really really need to get this time-sensitive prescription filled. hopefully the post it note on which I was just told to write my medical question for my doctor makes it to her...
Where do I begin? For starters, It is difficult to get someone to respond. Once you are finally able to get a hold they address you in a very rude manner.Upon visiting this community center, I realized the poor job that they are doing & the way in which they treat the community residents. As a community center and resource for the most vulnerable they should treat all people that seek assistance with the most care and respect. Instead, they undermine them, talk over and raise their voice. Whoever hires these people need to rethink their hiring practices.Lastly, if people are in need of food assistance, why on earth would you require so many appointments? Why not just make it accessible to all who are able to show proof of residence/ID? They make it incredible difficult to schedule/reschedule appointments. All appointments are during the day which are usually the times people are at work. Why not make it more accessible to people to schedule by simply scanning a QR code or proving a link? They have people line up outside the facility in freezing weather. They also give out expired food to community residents and this practice needs to change. The community really needs to stand up and demand that this changes because their salaries are provided by the public. They need to remember who they work for.I welcome Community HealthCare Network to reach out to me. I would gladly volunteer my personal time to go model and mentor their employees to show them how people need to be treated & implement need structure/ideas to make this organization better. I will also be forwarding this review to Ydanis Rodriguez so that he is made aware of what is taking place at this community center.
The last time I went in for a normal check up, the nurse was given the instructions to do a routine blood test. I asked her a question about the test before she even tried to take my blood and she didn’t know the answer. I should have known at that point to leave. Then when taking my blood which she obviously had no idea how to do, she pulls the needle out of my arm after poking around in their for a full minute. My vein is swollen, she leaves the wrap tied around my arm and my fist clenched, pulls out the needle and blood starts dripping down my arm. At this point, I basically faint from my blood pressure dropping so low and the blood lost. Five other doctors come into the room and try to act like it’s my fault. Asking if I had eaten that day and if I’m scared of needles, when in reality they should have asked the nurse what she did wrong because my arms was already swollen and bruised. She never even hit my vein to get any blood into the needle, but kept moving it around in there asking me if it hurt. They can’t even take a simple blood test routinely (which I have gotten done many many times in my life without such an issue). And don’t even get me started on their sketchy doctors pressing you to come back every two weeks for appointments you don’t need just so they can bill you insane amounts because they don’t accept your insurance but fail to mention that they don’t but the clinic itself does. Plus the two hour wait time before you even see a doctor. DONT GO HERE.
This place u professional . There’s about a good 3 people in this place who are polite & come to work to actually help people . The rest of them always have a face , looking real miserable . They never answer quick on it but when I come in it’s never busy . Another thing I was on the phone making a appointment the next available one the receptionist told me was January 17 , I came in & my appointment was scheduled the next day by the nurse lol . Crazy .
Ive been coming here for years and theyve gotten only better. I usually dont wait more than 30m to be seen. The doctors and nurses are great. The clinic is clean. I personally love it here.
The lady at the front desk took an hour to put my information in the system because i was a first time patient. And than i had to wait an extra hour to be seened by the nurse, if its your first time in this facility do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I hate this place they dont know how to talk to U if U missed Ur day to go in that give U a attitude on the phone and when U go in just to talk to Ur doctor they dont let U I have Keniysstones and I dont even know if its bad or nothing like I dont know what to do because they dont know how to talk to peoples and I called today and some ladie. Name rosa. Picked up talking like she dont want to work and I told her to take me out the system thats all I bet if I go some where else they wont act this way
It has always been a bad service because of being ubderstaffed there. Been going for almost 4 years now but i just let it slide, but how does a clinic cancle an appointment and you not get 1 call to be advised of this. This place needs a serious customer service training
Great staff and space but the overbook and are understaffed. Yes you will be waiting for hours for a 15 minute appointment. But when you are seen it will be with great care and effectiveness.
Ive been going here for years and sure before it might have been a nightmare with the excessive wait time but theyve drastically improved since then imo.
Staff is super rude they do not listen before they made their conclusion. They hang up the phone before you finish explaining your needs. I am glad I’m no longer a patient there!
Amazing service. Even Apps for those of us who enjoy the modern world. The doctors and nurses are very sweet and understanding!
Chris Williams l like the people and the doctors there so nice its been that way for a long time
Unbelievable wait timeIf you’re late you’re penalized and your penalized if your on time because they make you wait more than an hour for your appointment
Great looking to connect and continue.
Excellent health providers. Healthy as a horse
Very bad experience with this clinic.
