Worst OBGYN experience. Ive had a few appointments and with each one, my nurse made me feel incredibly small and like my problems were being exaggerated. I got nexplanon put in a few months ago, they didnt do any blood work or check any background information, they just put it in my arm. I had horrible side effects and ended up getting it taken out after about two months. During the procedure, literally knife in my arm, the nurse said something along the lines of I dont know if insurance will cover this since shes getting it out so early. Being by myself as a 16 year old this was so scary to me! Not to mention before and after the procedure I was incredibly nervous and they just made me feel like I was being dramatic and that it wasnt a huge deal. Hinting towards the fact that me getting it taken out early was a bad thing. Overall was a bad experience and I definitely wont come back. As a doctor/ nurse your LITERAL job is to be nice and make sure your patients are comfortable. Every single one of my appointments felt like I was sitting at a lunch table with popular girls who were just silently (most of the time) judging me.
Worst OBGYN experience ever. The receptionist was very kind. I went to the back and the APRN made me feel like my problems were nothing. I said I had a lot of things bothering me and I named off quite a few things and the APRN proceeded to say “is that all, you said there was a lot”. I felt very uncomfortable while being there, it was not friendly or welcoming at all. Won’t be returning. I see under every one star review that “patient satisfaction is important to you” but it doesn’t seem to be because this seems to be recurring.
I couldnt have asked for a better experience with Gina M. Pearce, APRN, CNM. She was compassionate, knowledgeable, and made me feel extremely comfortable for my examination. My OB-GYN retired 2 years ago, and I was taking my time with finding someone to go to. I knew Gina was the person from the moment she walked through the door. I’m so happy I decided to make an appointment. The staff from the front desk to the medical assistants were very welcoming, and friendly. I have another appointment coming up soon for a follow up. I am looking forward to talking with Gina again about my care. I definitely feel a level of trust with her that I haven’t felt in a long time, and I feel she will make sure that I get the best care possible.
The lady who answers the phone to schedule appointments, her tone and attitude is completely unprofessional. I get she hates her job but that’s zero reason to hang up on a patient trying to make an anatomy scan appointment. When I called back to continue making my appointment, I got no apology, silence and when I said “hello?” I received a very short “im pulling your record back up”. Say something to this woman. I’m not the only one experiencing this.
Gina Pearce has been my OB for about a year now, before pregnancy, and now during. She has taken her time with me during each appointment, making sure that all of my questions are answered. The front staff has always been pleasant and I have been pleased with the ultrasound experiences, also. I would recommend West Florida if youre looking for caring staff to take care of you.
Our visit was the BEST experience weve ever had. Ive been in the Medical field for over 20 yrs, and have seen very few Doctors like this. Dr. Hultsteader is wonderful the whole 2 hrs we were in the room he tried to put my Mother at ease and relax her due to the severity of the situation. All the while still telling us what we needed to hear. He is WONDERFUL. I will never forget this man and will always be grateful. Thank you for taking care of my Mom.
Dr. Payne is amazing, shes direct and honest. She calmed my nerves Im a first-time mom. I felt safe and comfortable in her care during and after pregnancy. Her staff is sweet and they answered every question and concern. Shell definitely deliver my future children.
I went for a follow up for a threatened Miscarriage and was told I would have my second round of HCG blood work by the following afternoon. Well after waiting a week and calling every couple of days I got a different answer every time. Well I finally call again today and they told me the results take any where from a week and a half to 4 weeks and not to expect them any time soon. Unless I was dying not to worry about it to much. I Will not be returning at all.
I thought the place was nice. I really liked my doctor (Mary Price). She explained everything well and kept me updated. My problem is how overpriced a new patient visit is. I was only in there for a short 5 minute appointment as a technicality, but I was charged $250 and my insurance only covered a portion of it. If you don’t have really good insurance, expect to pay about $150 for a 1st visit, no matter how short/long the visit was. Other places I’ve been to have charged according to how long the appointment was and for any actual procedures done. I was surprised to find such a high bill for having nothing done. The office staff did not offer any financial help/advice.
I think its totally unfair to waste ones time. Its not appropriate to ask me to be at my appointment early only to NEVER get called back to see the physician. My time is equally as valuable as anyone elses. Horrible experience, staff was clueless... unprofessional, and rude. When I called to speak with the manager... I just got transferred from one person to the next at least 3 times. I love Dr. Metha. Please consider working on scheduling, dont over book if the patient has confirmed appointment. And if youre running late a simple acknowledgement that Im there would help.
The service here is absolutely terrible. Most of the receptionists are typically unfriendly and not very helpful. My provider left and they put me with a doctor that doesnt seem very experienced and my first appointment I had to wait in the waiting room for over 3 hours. I am tired of West Florida so I am trying to switch providers but it has been an incredibly painful process to try and have my records sent over to the new place. Save yourself the trouble and dont go here.
My ob/gyn is Mary Price. She is awesome, very nice, sweet and down to earth. I feel I can talk to her like I do any one I know. I highly recommend her. Also the staff are very nice as well, they make you feel welcomed and answer any questions you have whether its in person or phone.
I have the pleasure of calling West Florida OBGYN my saving grace! My doctor, Dr. Payne, is literally nothing short of amazing! From telling her my concerns, shedding tears, to bringing in my first baby she was literally holding my hand every step of the way! She is brilliant and so personable! Dr. Payne and the entire staff are so amazing and I am forever grateful for finding them! I know that if I ever need help or have concerns or even going to have a routine check up I know I can count on them!
I am adult now so I have to find my own lady doctor and was scared I wouldnt find the right person, But the lady at the desk, was super nice! My nurse and doctor was extremely helpful and super sweet! Made me feel like family instantly! I am glad I went with them! I would highly recommended them.
Excellent staff all around!!!! Dr. Webb and her medical assistant were amazing! Dr. Webb explained the procedure to me and really made me feel comfortable. She has a very calming demeanor which is much appreciated. Hands down one of the best surgeons at West Florida Hospital!!!
I recently had my first child, and cannot say enough good things about West Florida OBGYN and Dr. Payne. After a bad experience with an out of state OBGYN before moving to Florida, she was a breath of fresh air. Dr. Payne is patient, and answers any and every question you have no matter how silly you may think it is - I never felt rushed during appointments. She’s genuinely invested in you and your baby’s health and has a wonderful bedside manner that puts you right at ease. The entire staff is wonderful too, from the nurses to the office staff, very friendly and helpful. When it came to my delivery, I was lucky enough to have Dr. Payne on call. Between her, the L&D staff, and my family, I had a very supportive and motivating team coaching me through my labor. I highly recommend West Florida OBGYN, West Florida L&D, and Dr. Payne!
I am truly blessed to have been in the care of West Florida OBGYN this week! The women have went above and beyond their jobs making me smile and treating me as if I were family while helping me to get better! I couldnt have asked for better people, I was in the arms of angels!!! Thank you all so much at WEST FLORIDA OBGYN 3rd fl!!! Also to my Dr Payne she is amazing!! She treats you as a person not just a patient! You can truly tell where her heart is and that she has your best interest there! She is very attentive and takes time to listen to your needs and explains everything in great detail which really helps because when your health is down the last thing you want is the lack of knowledge as to why it is! She delivered my first son 2 years ago and now my newest addition and will also be delivering my first grandbaby in January :) We are blessed to have her as our doctor! Thank you Dr Payne!!
At each visit there was never a long wait time. The staff, starting with the receptionist, the MA and the doctor are all so friendly and helpful! Ive been trying for months to get my health problem fixed and finally it is thanks to Dr Jaaks!!
Every doctor nurse and technician I met at my recent appointment was very kind and understanding. I did not have any problems. Dr Hannah especially was very thorough and thoughtful when I had a question or issue with something.
Dr. Gina came in with a warm smile on her face. She talked to me one on one on what to expect in the coming years. She made me feel comfortable. Her staff was kind and respectful. I would recommend her to my family and friends.
I am beyond impressed with West Florida hospital and their Labor and Delivery department. I delivered with Dr. Laura Webb and she was out of this world! All nine months of my pregnancy was amazing! The office staff, the nursing staff, the janitorial staff, and the cafeteria staff was amazing. I was in labor for over 30 hours and the entire staff made it as good as labor can be. If you are having a baby, I highly suggest you do it here!! This hospital is doing it right! Thank you West Florida!!
Amazing facility and even better staff! I went in for the first time ever to be seen by my newly appointed doctor and I must say it was a great experience. I was able to speak with the actual doctor and they has never been the case for me at previous doctor offices. I highly recommend this office for it is filled with wonderful ,caring and educated people.
Dr Gronert is wonderful! He is the first male gynecologist Ive had. I was expecting to be uncomfortable with him due to this fact. However, he made me feel very comfortable and listened to. He sat down with me and took time to discuss my concerns without rushing me out. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, and caring.
Dr. Payne is simply wonderful. She sits down and looks you in the eye giving you undivided attention that can be so lacking these days in healthcare. She listens without judgment and appears very sincere and honest. She is efficient without making you feel rushed and makes a generally uncomfortable experience bearable. I feel so very fortunate to have found her and pray she stays at West Florida for years to come.
The group itself, not necessarily the doctors, but the front office staff is the reason to not come here alone. With a generally non-complicated pregnancy they have given us a hard time. There is no reason that the front office should make first time pregnant mothers feel bad for needing reassurance, or to confirm things like appointments and orders from the Doc. Very disappointing.
Know you can say no to a med student, Dr. Webb was very nice and had a good bedside manner. However because she had a med student with her it meant double the prodding, double breast exam and pushing on my stomach prior to the exam I was there for which sent my body into a fibromyalgia flare. She knew I had that and other things it was in my chart and I had just told them for my history. I saw DR. Webb because my usual Nurse practitioner was out on leave. Know you can say no to a med student and only see the Dr. youre there to see.
I had an appointment on 09.19.22 with laura webb i called to verify the time and the lady at the front desk told me that provider was no longer here so my appointment was cancelled. I never received a phone call or a letter or email stating that my appointment needed to be rescheduled do to provider absence. This is very unprofessional and the fact that they could not keep my same day appointment is really frustrating because I have had this appointment for months and was NEVER EVER CONTACTED. If I could leave no stars I definitely would.
Gina Pearce is the best hands down. After trying a couple of other local obgyns, I was directed her way from a friend a few years back. 2 children later, we still adore her. She’s kind, patient, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Im not looking forward to the day she retires, and I’d recommend anyone to see her!*phone schedulers frequently seem bothered and annoyed, but Gina is worth the annoyance*
I went as a new patient a couple months ago. Since then, I have gotten a UTI from their dirty scope. And been treated like a hypochondriac from the Dr and staff. Two days after my first appt when I knew something was wrong, I called to let them know I had something going on that I didnt have b4 my first visit. I was spoken to with disrespect and %100 of the blame for my infection went to me. That there was No Way it couldve been bc of their unceanlyness... Two weeks later at a follow up appt bc I was still having issues with my bladder, the dr himself treated me as a hypochondriac. Dismissing my concerns and sending me to a specialist so he wouldnt have to deal with me not knowing my own body. Turns out the specialist figured out my problem and I know have some sort of treatment options. ... And get this.. when I peed for them, they found the uti I had called about 2 weeks prior...I dont want to go back there. Ever. But bc he holds the monopoly of urologists in the north end of town.. Im trying to get some answers today, Ive been waiting long enough for a call back about my issue or treatment plan from his office. They are pretty rude when they have a problem with what you are saying. And the fact that he treated me as a hypochondriac, even tho the er sent me to him...Ive never been talked to in the manner that I was. Im not looking forward to having to go back for my treatment...
I had to switch to a new GYN doc because of changing health care insurance, and I wasnt too happy about that. However, WF Ob/Gyn has made the transition eminently comfortable and easy. Dr. Payne is smart, cordial, and considerate, and she was sensitive to my needs as a post-menopausal woman. She provided me with a TON of information about how to manage my changing gynecological situation. She looks like shes about 18, but I assure you that she knows her stuff. :)
I had a 11:15 new patient appt today. Called at 9:15 to confirm appt and directions. Arrived at 10:45 as instructed. Checked in, was handed paperwork to fill out, and was instructed to have a seat and fill out the forms. An hour later, at 11:45, I go back to the front desk to make sure I had done everything I needed to, as I was getting concerned about the wait. (Everyone who was seated when I arrived had been called back, in addition to 2-3 people who arrived after me.) My paperwork was taken at that point and I was instructed to have a seat and wait. Ok... 5 minutes later, after yet another person was called back, I went back to the desk and found out THEN that I should have turned all those papers in much sooner, and that there were still two people ahead of me. There were only 4 of us in the waiting room at this point. Ended up rescheduling because I started having a panic attack. I have anxiety. That why I called. Thats why I paid attention to instructions. Thats why I made an appt as early as I could to be seen for an urgent matter, that is now rescheduled due to lack of proper communication from the front desk. I ran out of time to risk waiting too long and cant risk being late to work over this nonsense.I have no idea how good the doctors are, because I never had a chance to see one today. For the next appt we will see if showing up even earlier will make any difference. At least now I know to expect miscommunication and can plan for it.If I felt my issue could wait another month I would go to a different office altogether.***UPDATE*** My husband also called, while I was typing up my I initial review, to speak to someone about my experience there today. Immediate response was to place 100% of the blame on me for not following instructions properly. It took him asking for the office supervisor, who re-questioned the receptionist who failed to give me the correct instructions, before she finally admitted to NOT telling me to turn in the forms when I was done filling them out.I get that this is a small issue, but I voiced my concerns in office. Why I was blamed when my husband called is unknown. Why the receptionist at fault had to be asked more than once before she could admit fault is unknown.Patients, not just me, deserve better.
MD wouldnt prescribed meds for my teenage daughter that she’s been in for over 2 yrs even though she’s symptom free. Finally, takes her into it. Still wouldn’t prescribe for a year(like is customary). Staff very unknowable. I had to pay for med because was not told needed to get clearance before getting meds. Physician blamed “hospital call center”. Very unprofessional
I usually have good appointments. My most recent appointment was less than terrific Im still trying to set up an appointment for other testing and thats turning out to be . I had difficulty getting a prescription filled Im not pleased with having to make several phone calls just to get a couple of things situated
Ive had issues for about 15 years. I went to Sacred Heart for 2 years for them to tell me they couldnt find anything wrong and just kept telling me to stay on my birth control. It took me 2 visits to West Florida Group to find the problem and get a game plan. Loved CeCe Price and the staff. For the first time in 15 years, i dont dread a Doctors appointment and im really looking forward to the path ahead under her care.
We had originally started out with a different OBGYN and decided to find a different one after our first appointment. Doctor Mehta came highly recommended by a couple friends and after meeting him we knew right away he was the doctor for us. Doctor Mehta is calm, compassionate and never makes you feel rushed. He even had to deliver some not so great news to us at one point and he handled it perfectly. He’s the kind of doctor that just makes you feel at ease. His office staff has always gone out of their way to accommodate our needs and remain kind even under pressure. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Doctor Mehta and his staff!
Professional and caring ObGyn practice in town. I have been under the care of Dr. Mehta for years and cant appreciate enough all the medical help that he provided during this time. Very professional and knowledgeable, as well as caring, he always takes a good care of his patients.
The doctors and staffs here are wonderful and enthusiastic. Dr. Laura Webb, DO examined me really well. She has excellent OB / GYN expertise. Thank you so much for WF hospital and Dr. Laura Webb, DO
I’m currently pregnant and so far I absolutely love this office. I’m seeing Dr. Hultstrand and he’s fantastic. I ended up seeing him after trying to go the women’s group, who refused to make me an appointment. I’m so glad I ended up here!
Receptionist who answer the phone to schedule an appointment is extremely rude and none professional. Sounds like she doesn’t want to be there and I’m “bothering” her with my call. I feel sorry for people who have to work with her.
Ms. Price is a consummate professional and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She quickly diagnosed my problem and then solved it. I will continue to use Ms. Price as by GYN provider. She was excellent.
Gena Pearce CNM is wonderful to deal with. She is very professional in her duties but also kind. She listens and talks to her patients even while performing the exam.
I’ve seen A LOT of medical professionals to address my chronic pain and health issues. NO ONE has ever taken the time to listen, expressed such genuine concern for my wellbeing and motivation to improve me quality of life like the nurse practitioner named Cece. I can’t say enough good things about her. As a nursing student myself, cece is exactly the person I aspire to be as I progress in my career. I hope I can make as much of a difference In my patients’ lives as cece has for me.
They were very thorough and answered all of my questions throughout my pregnancy. I want into preterm labor, and they acted quickly to ensure the best care for me and my baby.
I saw Dr. Gronert and he was kind, professional and attentive to my concerns, as was his assistant. He wasted no time in setting me up with lab work and a procedure needed before I return.
I’ve seen Cici Price and Dr. Webb, both are nice but their office is SO unorganized. They have no idea what they’re doing. They have screwed me over multiple times. I wish their office and staff was better because I’ve liked both of them but I will not be back.
This is the best office! Cece price is amazing and the front desk is also! They get you scheduled fast and there is never a long wait to be seen. I highly recommend this office.
I am seeing Dr Hultstrand and Dr Hannah at West FL OBGYN for my 3rd pregnancy. The doctors are very knowledgable and kind when I see them during an office visit.
This was my first visit to the West Florida OB/GYN office and it was great. The staff as well as the doctor were very nice and friendly.
I wish there was more help over the phone for minor things instead of having to wait and pay for an appointment over something that could be asked or said over the phone. It would also be nice if there was a replacement doc for when gina is out of the office.
Dr. Jason Gronert answered my questions. Took his time. I really appreciate his attitude and patience with all of my questions. Highly recommend this practice. Great job.
I Recently gave birth to my first child here and it was a horrible experience i would never give birth here again there wasn’t a doctor on call when I gave birth .. my birth plan didn’t go as planned the nurse was stalling my labor i was suffering and begging for pain meds and epridural . I had to give birth natural due to the fact the nurse didn’t do her job , my after birth stay was horrible also the nurses was so rude
Jennifer Payne, MD is Very professional and knowledgeable. Answers all questions thoroughly. Recently had major surgery and very pleased with the outcome.
I highly recommend Dr. Hulstrand, hands down one of the best Drs I have ever had to see. He is very patient and caring , and takes the time to listen to every concern you may have.
Dr. Jennifer Payne is wonderful! She is very thorough and explains everything she is doing as she conducts her exam.
This was my first visit and I have the say everyone was very kind and helpful. The office was very clean and organized. Will recommend friends and family.
Went to Dr.Cece Price today for the first time because my doctor retired I was so nervous because I had been going to the same doctor forever and Dr.Price was so nice I was very comfortable Im so happy I choose her!!!
Dr. Russo was the most professional, compassionate, and informative physician I have ever been to and would HIGHLY recommend her!!!
Friendly staff, Dr. Webb is very caring and attentive to you concerns, she makes sure the care plan is the best action plan for you.
CeCe Price and her assistant were awesome! Down to Earth. Professional. Reassuring. Awesome.
Receptionist is rude and sounds miserable.
I feel like she was just trying to hurry me up out of there. She wasn’t really willing to understand just wanting to prescribe me medication and be done with it.
My doctor is Mary CiCi Price I really hate that shes no longer there now Im wondering has she relocated or what because now im considering a new gynecologist
They ALWAYS are behind. Im sitting here now at 4:36pm still waiting to be called back for my 4pm appt. Happens every time. They should not schedule as many people at or around the same time!!
Office visit went smooth with a modest wait time for my appt. Staff was professional and courteous.
If you going to be 10 minutes late just reschedule because they going to have you sitting waiting for hours to be seen .
Waiting 6/7 hours or longer for a physician to call in a prescription is not professional.
Ive been going here for 13 years and two children. They are great.
From the front desk to my dr. everyone is truly awesome. I love them all.
I love CeCe, I dont feel rushed and she listens :).
They will bill you a ridiculous amount.
Horrible group! If it wasn’t for the nursing staff, it would be worse than 3rd world practice of medicine!
Dr Gronert Go Above and beyond will definitely recommend him!
I love West Florida. My Ob/Gyn is awesome!
Friendly staff, very helpfull with patient needs....
Very good professional gentle doctors.
Dr. Julie DeCesare is the best!
Unprofessional , rude management , and dirty clinical rooms.
Dr. Gronet is an AWESOME Dr.
Short waiting time; great scheduling
The staff is great. Services is great
Doctor and staff are curiosity
