Not usually one to give bad reviews but I’ve had issues with this practice since the beginning. Weekly/monthly appts during pregnancy were fine as was my delivery, but I found dr olt to always be in a rush in/out (when I actually saw her, most of the time I saw Caroline) and Caroline didn’t take my concerns seriously when I came in having pain towards the end of my pregnancy. I simply felt unheard by my providers. Scheduling was never an issue but billing/insurance was a mess. Vanessa always tries her best to help navigate the billing/ins. hurdles and answer my questions. Vanessa is wonderful. However, now a year after my son was born, there’s still insurance issues and half the time I call I have to leave a voicemail (some of which were never returned). I am due for an annual visit and will be finding a new practice.
Dr. Olt is amazing! After years of struggling, she finally got me diagnosed with PCOS. She is a doctor that listens to her patients and genuinely cares about them
Dr. Olt delivered my csection baby. Had my baby out in 3 minutes. She helped me with my anxiety leading up to her delivery, too. Easy to talk to. Takes her time. Would gladly recommend her to anyone!! Thank you, Dr. Olt!
If I could do 0 stars I would. This is hands down the worst OB practice around. I was diagnosed with blighted ovum and the staff had absolutely no compassion at all the only thing they were concerned about was me paying the 17$ for my hcg draw. Tamara doesnt care to talk or listen to concerns she rushes your appts just to get to the next. I called to speak to a nurse as I was having miscarriage issues and concerns of infection and it took this office over 30hrs to even bother to call back. I wouldnt recommend her to my worst enemy. Dont waste your time with this office!!!
Not a whole lot of good I can say about my experience with Olt herself. Most of the staff are amazing but when you have a doctor that only cares about the money and how many people she can see in a day great staff only goes so far. She argued with me about my gestational diabetes and what my specialist said to me about my treatment. She hardly even looks in your file, she expects you to tell her everything every time. She rushed in and out of the room at every visit. She was rude in the delivery room with my mother (who is also a patient if hers) and my husband present. I went to her based off of family referring me to her, never will I step foot in that office again.
Services are good, office and billing management is very poor. Lab samples sent to out of network lab and has sent them there at least 3 times since even though we have requested it be sent to the in network lab and we have been reassured it was “in the file”. When inquiring they ask for the bill, and the office manager will get back to us……. No call back, no email responses……get it together and stand by your mistakes
I supposed Id say Ive had a good experience with my first child (almost 2) the staff was amazing every time I went in. I didnt have a high risk pregnancy so I didnt have much going on. Amy sees me more often then Olt, before delivery I only saw her twice throughout my whole pregnancy. When delivery time came she was late and didnt actually deliver the baby, a student did which I wasnt aware of at the time, she just stood by to watch. I recently became pregnant and went in today for an emergency appointment. The sonogram technician has always been very kind and explained things to me. Amy saw me and went over my concerns and got me on my way with good news. They wanted to draw blood so I waited to see that lady. She is new, last time I was in they had someone else who I was quite fond of. The new lady however ended up putting the needle in to far and now my arm is bruised and swollen. Id like to think this place is great and recommend it to anyone I could. With my current situation I may consider seeing someone else. I still love the staff and how well their office runs. Some things are different now and Im unsure what to think as of now but I still think they are nice.
Dr Olt is a wonderful doctor. Ive been a patient for years and have had nothing but good experiences with her and her staff. Appointments are easy to make, and shes always on time and you dont have to sit and wait like some other doctors offices. She spends an ample amount of time during the appointment and she is always willing to listen and doesnt make you feel rushed. She seems to truly care about the well being of her patients and is always compassionate, understanding, and kind. Cant recommend her enough!
Very dismissive and unprofessional.Told me doctors throw around endometriosis diagnoses (they dont, women struggle every day and it takes on average 10 years to be diagnosed), couldnt find my previous tests (so just ordered new ones) and addressed none of my concerns about potential sterilization in the future.
Nice and caring doctor but after almost three months of waiting just to find out my insurance didnt cover the IUD I was waiting to hear about. When I did call to inquire about an update I got excuse after excuse.
Dr Olt was always rushing me in & out of my appointments, never taking the time to talk to me or care. Even when I drove an hour away for my appointments. Dr Olt gave me an epidural at 10cm because she was mad I “wasn’t pushing,” after I’d been trying to for over an hour. She rushed me a lot during labor, never comforted me or was compassionate at all. She literally asked “if I give you an epidural, will you push?” Hands down, worst OB I’ve ever seen. Will never recommend her.
Dr. Olt is wonderful! I have been seeing her for the past 8 years. She delivered my daughter and has helped me through miscarriages. Shes compassionate, understanding, very much to the point and she tells it like it is which I love! The office staff is friendly and always familiar faces, I think it says a lot when the staff turnover is very low.
Dr. Olt has been my gyno for nearly 20 years - since I was a teenager. She is super friendly - easy to talk to. She makes it very comfortable. She is real with you. She was so amazing to me during my pregnancy. I was highly anxious and she was always supportive of me. Shes always treated me great and I never hate going to the gynecologist since its her. I go yearly for exams and I think if everyone had Dr. Olt - theyd go regularly too because she makes it so easy.
I absolutely adore Amy and Dr.Olt. Amy is an outgoing and extremely friendly person, she shows her genuine concern for her patients. Dr.olt is blunt and promt which is what I love in an OB. She has no time for gimics and is straight to the point and has always been honest about any health concerns for mom or baby. She has delivered for 2 of my pregnancies and her bedside manner is fantastic. I also have multiple family members she has delit for as well. The rest of the women in this office are wonderful as well, I absolutely love this office. Its worth the long wait in the waiting room for the care you receive (iv never waited too long personally😋). I understand how many patients they really do see, so it doesnt bother me one bit. You do your thang ladies!!!! ❤️
As a gynecological office, I would expect them to not be too lazy to order an IUD. 3 months later, and regular excuses as to why they pretended to order one, they gave me one type of IUD that I didnt want, just because they had it laying around the office. After one month of horrible pain, I had to make them take it out. It took less that a minute and the nurse practioner ran out of the exam room. I expected her to return to tell me what to expect next, how to take care of myself, and order a new one. But she never did. I was still in pain for months as a result of this. There were a lot more of telephone excuses after this when I asked why I was still in pain
I remember how cruel Dr Olt was to me after a miscarriage and how she said she wouldn’t touch me because I was 39 and have uterine fibroids. She sent me to collection over a $100 bill that I was paying on but was battling depression after numerous miscarriages. I delivered a healthy son the day before my 41st birthday and had a perfect natural delivery. Dr Larry Overcash at Women’s Health Institute was amazing I thank God I found him after I heard many complaints about Dr Olt while I lived in Peoria. Just want her to know what a terrible physician and caregiver she is as a person.
Dr.Olt Is always caring and informative at each visit. She listens and answers each question you have. She is down to the point and makes you knowledgeable of what is going on and explains all options and possible outcomes. I felt very confident and in control knowing she was the one in the delivery room. Dr.Olt is very calm and confident which made me feel safe.
Recommended, very nice staff in person. Had a bit difficulty with communication at first, but that was partly my fault. They are very quick, the wait both times I have gone in have been under 15 minutes during completely different times of day, different days of the week. (9:00am, 3:00pm Friday/Wednesday). They are quick when they see you, but they don’t rush. They make sure you have alll they information you need and are clear about everything. I have had lots of vague, unclear, rushes doctors and then some doctors that are very slow. The staff here are a perfect balance for me, thorough and fast, but not rushed at all.The text reminders for appointments are amazing, no other doctors office has had that that I have gone to (lots)! The woman who sometimes answers phones can come off a little rude, but that’s okay, I doubt she means to be rude. the rest of the office staff are extremely sweet and kind. They make you feel comfortable in uncomfortable (for me) situations. Definitely would go here again.
Her and her staff were very judgy when I was there. I’m not sure why, either. They also publicly talk about patient’s health information. She used to let her son sit in her office and I know he overheard some very sensitive information too. I felt bad for one lady. The receptionist made sure that everyone in the waiting room knew she had an irregular pap. No just stay away.
Dr. Olt delivered my youngest son 14yrs ago and I just started going back to her after switching jobs and changing insurances. I was having some issues that I needed an OB Gyne and I was happy to return as an patient of hers, I love because she really pays attention to her patients and does what is necessary to help her patients.
Dr. Olt got me through a difficult pregnancy. I still credit her for getting me through it. I honestly don’t think my twins would be here if it wasn’t for her care. She is amazing. Big plus, she listens to you. If you fee something is wrong, she looks into it. She didn’t take any chances.
I have been going to Dr. Old for over 12 years and had to have a very large ovarian cyst removed at a young age. She has been very helpful over the years and has always been willing to do whatever she can to help me reach my health goals and work towards having a healthy pregnancy someday.
❤️Dr. Olt and the staff are amazing! I have been to several doctors offices and found the best here. Everyone is friendly, helpful and so efficient. They give you the time you need to educate you on your health while still getting you in and out with very minimal if any wait time. Dr. Olt is the most personable Doctor and it shows she cares and wants what’s best for her patients. ❤️
This Doctor’s nurse wrote my fiancé the wrong prescription 4 times. She was without the prescription for five days because of it and was experiencing some pretty bad symptoms. We are getting married in 20 days and just really didn’t need the added stress. No one called us back to explain why this mistake happened so many times either. My fiancé would leave a message and another wrong script would be sent over an hour or so later; very odd. We have it corrected now, but it took way too long with no explanation about the strange mistakes.
I live in Galesburg, IL and when my ob wasnt taking my daughters heart rate seriously I looked for another opinion. As soon as Dr. Olt learned of my daughters heart rate and cervical bleeding she immediately put me on bed rest and did further testing to find that my daughter has an enlarged aorta heart valve and it needs to be monitored!
Wouldnt recommend her to anyone. Im going on 37wks im high risk Ive had 4 appointments in 2 weeks and still havent got to speak to her I always get a message passed through a nurse.
Absolutely terrible. She shamed my boyfriend for cheating on me 5 days postpartum and told me I had HIV when it was only an infected stitch. DO NOT GO TO HER.
I wouldnt think about going to anyone else. Dr.Olt and Amy including her staff helped me through a difficult pregnancy. I couldnt have asked for a better place or better care! I HIGHLY recommend this office🙂
Treated my niece horribly! If you are pregnant and unmarried she treats you like trash. Ive never seen judgment like this in my life
Horrible place !!!!!! She dismissed only sent 5 minutes with me the staff never answer the phone changed the portal no contact about where it is again won’t answer the phone and very dismissive about my concerns do not go to her
She became my ob when I was pregnant with my son. I had a lot of problems and she was always here to hear me out. Thanks for all u have done.
Love Dr Olt .. Very friendly, caring, easy to talk to, and the nurses and rest of the staff are all really nice as well.
