I have been going to this office for over 20 years now. I have had 3 pregnancies with two live births and have seen Dr. Thompson now for several years for annual checks. They are always professional and friendly, and have some of the best staff around. Their phlebotomist has been there the entire time Ive been going to this office! Thats saying something. Close to the hospital and convenient to downtown, theyve treated me well for many years.
The receptionist was friendly and professional, one thing that I would hope they would improve is the paperwork, if there were any changes in pt.s demographics or medical history, then it would be necessary to complete the forms.Dr. Thompson and her staff were very professional and answered any questions that I have and helps me to understand my concerns. I would definitely recommend her.
It was an awful experience. Dr. Thompson delivered my daughter 12 years ago. At the time, I thought she was talking down to me because I was young. However, I had a recent appointment and she talked AT me and down to me during the entire visit. In order to say anything I had to talk over her and before I could finish would dismiss my concern and keep talking about what she wanted. I wish she would have treated me like a human and not a thing she had to hurry up and dismiss.
Unlike other reviews, I had no problem making an appointment. Receptionist friendly. I would suggest moving away from repetitive paperwork and using electronic devices in which the patient only types what has changed. Way too many forms. Dr. Thompson was friendly and informative. Down to earth approach and very logical. Only suggestion is to move forward with technology versus tired old forms.
Honestly frusterated at this point. Ive received care since 2015 and the direct care I have received has always been very good. However, continuity of care is TERRIBLE. No response to portal messages or requests for appointments. No follow up regarding radiology results requiring additional imaging. I have no problem navigating the health system on my own, however the timely cooperation and coordination of care from the medical professional is crucial when it comes to access to care.
I am an Australian citizen travelling for an extended period of time through the USA whilst pregnant. My Australian obstetrician requested I obtain my 18-20 week anatomical ultrasound whilst travelling in the USA.Staff at the centre were very professional and responsive to my request for an appointment and were clear regarding costs. Please note that I do not qualify for any healthcare assistance whilst in the USA and was a full fee paying patient. For approximately $400 USD I had an appointment with an ultrasound technician who was lovely and explained everything she was showing me on her screen, photograph/print outs at the time of the ultrasound, a report on the ultrasound results by a radiologist and a review of the report by the Obstetrician who then forwarded my results to my primary care team in Australia. The entire process was very simple and straightforward and I highly recommend this practice.
The receptionist was so kind and helpful, it was the only positive part of my experiences here. I had the worst experience with Dr. Thompson. She was very rude and asked me questions like I was being interogated. She didnt start being nice until I started crying. She told me my fibroid was not my issue and I just needed birth control to help my issues. I expressed multiple times that I did not want to go that route, as I had done it before with no improvement. She didnt care to look any further or listen to anything I wanted. The issue actually was much more serious, and had I not switched Doctors who knows how much worse it could have gotten.
Dr Sharon is amazing. She actively listens to her patients and walks us through next steps. Dr Sharon is the best OBGYN!
I have been a patient of Dr. Thompson for many many years and a patient at Central Phoenix ObGyn for over two decades and every appointment has been nothing short of informative and thorough. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Thompson for every woman to ensure she is well taken care of.
For my very first time coming to central phoenix obstetrics and gynecologist was amazing customer service was amazing got me in and out just amazing first time at this location thank you central phoenix obstetrics and gynecologist.
Dr Thompson and staff, specifically front desk receptionist, Allison, are unprofessional, unresponsive, neglected crucial care and take zero accountability for misconduct.
I love this doctor, she has compassion and cares about her patients and very thorough about explaining procedures. Im had a biopsy done. And she made it easy and comfortable for me. Im 55,I wish I had her as my Obgyn, during my childbearing year. She also makes you feel like you knew her forever. God keep Blessing her and her business.
I love this practice! I have been going here since I moved here 6-1/2 years ago. The staff is professional, personable and has been steadily improving processes so that getting an appointment is convenient. Ashley is an amazing nurse practitioner and refreshing. She is very informative. She makes your wellness visit very pleasant and personable. I normally like male Gynecologist---I am very transactional, but this all-female practice is amazing! They provide a level of comfort that sets the bar for me with other medical offices and professionals. I am very confident in the medical advice.
Dr Shannon Thompson is excellent! Ive had so much difficulty searching for an obgyn that is knowledgeable and caring, and she covers both! Im truly grateful to have found her!
ATTENTION PATIENTS DON’T GO HERE!!!!Ive been trying to get an appointment for a month now. I’ve been going there for 25 years.Nobody ever calls me back. When I actually got a human explained I was having some pain theySaid they would call me back. It’s been another week with no call back. This place is a joke!Do yourself a favor and find another gynecologist!!!!
Scheduling issues, beware! Tried to make an appointment for several months and no response. I have left multiple voicemails and wrote in through the patient portal, still no response. Not accepetable. Changing providers now, which is sad because I have been a patient to this practice for well over 4 years and loved my provider.
Update: My phone call with Dr. Thompson today reduced me to tears. I voiced a concern to staff on my online portal, and the heightened voice and aggressive tone I dealt with over the phone this morning in regard to that concern, coming from my provider, was so disheartening. I’m glad others have had great experiences, I really am, but definitely avoid voicing concerns if you’d like to keep your experiences pleasant.Update: I was verbally assured that my next appointment (over the phone) would be with Dr. Thompson. My appointment was today, and it was not with Dr. Thompson as advised. I continued with the phone appointment because I really can’t wait to get established with a new office at this point, but I’m definitely frustrated with the lack of consideration in regard to communication with patients, especially as an eager and anxious first time mother. This is not how I envisioned my relationship with my obstetrics office to be.Original: Overall, the practice was very clean and the staff were very nice. My only concern was the fact that I was unaware of what my first pregnancy appointment would consist of, and it wasn’t outlined for me ahead of time. As a first time soon-to-be mom, I was under the impression that it would be a combination of diagnostics and labs (or at least an order for labs) to establish a few baselines, as well as at least a quick chat with a provider of some sort. Unfortunately my appointment was an ultrasound only, so I was a bit confused and slightly disappointed there. Establishing who your obstetrics provider will be is arguably one of the most important things for new mothers; we want a great provider to be there for us throughout the pregnancy and beyond. Being informed of COVID guidelines and rules for entering the practice seemed to be much more important to them than informing me of what my actual appointment would consist of - the communication to patients has more to do with the rules of the practice rather than anything pertaining to the patient/patient’s appointment. That is my biggest concern. My next appointment will definitely determine which direction I take in regard to the obstetrics practice/provider I continue with.
My first appointment at Central Phoenix O and G was an emergency situation and they handled it with calm professionalism and really made me feel comfortable and safe--and took care of the problem! I decided to stick with this practice as my OBGYN. Ive been back for a follow-up and met more staff, and everyone has been great. I recommend!
Wish I never went here. Dr. Sharon Thompson was the worst. Very unprofessional. Talking to other colleagues in hallway about other patients.
After putting it off for nearly two years I finally scheduled time to get my pap. As a trans person, this can be a nerve wracking experience, but Central Phoenix OBGYN made it so simple. They were able to get me in within a few weeks, and made it easy to reschedule on a few days notice. The NP who did my exam talked me through the whole thing and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I’ve never felt so respected and comfortable at a GYN
Best OBGYN in the country. I would not only recommend her personally for all families, but her office and staff are the most friendly and helpful. I have had the very best experience for 18 years! I was lucky enough to be transferred from my previous doctor to Dr. Thompson 16 years ago when she came on board and eventually took over. She is INCREDIBLE and is an amazing support system.
Was told to text a number I was there. I messaged at 11:05am for a 11:20am appointment. After 10 minutes, no one had responded so I called and the receptionist told me to go ahead and come in. I go inside, there is no one checking in patients and another patient told me they weren’t coming out to check on people consistently. After waiting 10 minutes, someone finally came out and checked in a patient that arrived after me. After checking in, I still waited 25 minutes and decided at 12:00pm to ask to cancel my appointment. After asking what the cause for delay was, I was told there were multiple call offs. My question is, why not inform patients so they can make a decision based on time? Why not show care and concern for people waiting extended periods of time? Where is the respect for peoples time? Why have people message a number that no one is going to pay attention to? Causing them to check in late. They insisted it was a one off issue but based on previous reviews, it looks like the normal routine for this office.
Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. I have had nothing but care from this practice, they have always done there best all the women have been fairly nice to me and delicate. I have been going to this office for almost 2 years now. They always send my prescriptions right away to the correct pharmacy they listen to you and give you options because its all about you. I will keep coming here until I see otherwise
Pay attention to what the bad reviews are saying because they are all true. I dont understand the good reviews because they have not been my experience at all and I too cant wait to never attend this doctors office again. I dont want to say too much personally about all the bad experiences I have had with my pregnancy and even post office visits. However, its completely true the wait times of up to 2 hours per appointment to only see the doctor for 5 minutes. They never know what I am being seen for and the communication is poor. I have had them not schedule my appointments and even my delivery was a nightmare. The worst experience I have reported it to my insurance and the hospital I delivered at, but the service never improves. I dont recommend anyone use this office.
Be prepared to fight for your care. They are very fond of phone appointments, even to the detriment of the patient. We asked for a genetic test, and were promptly told no, after three times of us asking the question. Cited reasons were that makes Healthcare expensive for other people, why do we want to know the gender? The baby is gonna decide later and the worst its not even a baby yet, its just a fetus.Avoid if you can, be aware if you cant.Oh, just to be clear, this was from one of the doctors.
The nurse practitioners here are phenomenal!! I rarely ever see the actual doctors as I’m usually in for my annual visit/birth control. However that is fine with me because the nurses are so fantastic here! They’re personable, friendly, informative, and overall just fantastic women. The only downside is I rarely ever get to talk to anyone when I call so I have to resort to either leaving a message or utilizing the online portal which isn’t all that helpful if your inquiry is time sensitive.
I wrote a review a couple months ago but wanted to write another. I’m currently 29 weeks and have been going here since I was about 10 weeks and have had such a great experience! I’m pregnant with my first and was very nervous about finding a OBGYN that I actually liked! Kassandra and Ashley have been amazing throughout the process and keeping me updated through the portal! They are very caring, patient and knowledgeable about all my questions and doubts! The office, rooms and bathrooms are always kept clean and I always enjoy coming in! The longest I’ve had to wait for my appointment was about 5 mins but they did have a lot of patients. I highly recommend this place for first time moms and any expecting moms!
My last appointment was my first and last at this practice. First impression was very lacking. After submitting an appointment request and indicating on the online form where it asked for my preferred method of appointment, which is in person, they scheduled me for an over phone appointment. Disappointing but not as disappointing as the service provided by Dr. Sharon Thompson. I advised her of my health conditions and the difficulties I am currently having loosing weight. I will admit Im soft spoken and untalkative but I am tenacious when it come to research over my own health conditions. I believe she mistook my untalkative nature for ignorance. She definitely came of as in love with the sound of her voice and as someone who has a habit of strong-arming her opinions onto others. She also spoke over me quite a bit, especially when I was attempting to advice her of my history in order for her to help me. We need doctors who will listen to their patients and will see them as people who are struggling.
Ive been going since 2021 and had a great experience but this year I have been unable to schedule an appointment. For the last month I have tried to call and message every few days but no one gets back to me. Disappointed and will be finding another office eventhough the providers were great. Poorly run I guess.
Ive been coming to this practice for years and have stayed because the care is so good. Recently, Ive had some medical issues and its been super stressful. Ive been in to see the nurse practitioner, Victory, three times this year already! She has the best bedside manner, taking time to talk through my concerns and answer questions. All the staff here are friendly and supportive, and usually an actual person will call me with my lab results, which is nice in case I have questions. I cant speak to the OB part of the practice, but the GYN part is really great!
I recommend going somewhere else. I started going there right before I hit my second trimester. They wanted to start with a phone appointment. The only reason I got seen in person, was because I basically told them that they either better see me in person, or Id be going somewhere else. As for all the blood work, I had to advocate for that as well! 🙄 Somehow theyve forgotten to send my prescription over to my pharmacy.Told me I was going to have my anatomy appointment scheduled for 20 weeks. Im 20 weeks now, and I had to call them to make the appointment. Whomever answered the phone told me they couldnt schedule an appointment over the phone, that they would schedule it by the end of the day for the following week, and it would come up on my portal. Few days went by, nothing, so I called again. I told the lady I needed an appointment, and there she was, ready to schedule a phone appointment. There I went advocating for my child, telling them that I didnt need to talk to someone, that I needed a ultrasound! It always feels like I have to be on top of them, when it should be the other way around. They are not making this a good experience for myself. I dont really feel like me and my baby are cared for.I still dont even know what Dr. Thompson looks like, or where he/she delivers. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the nurse practioner was nice. And its super close to my house. But whoever is in charge of scheduling and all that other stuff, nope.
Absolutely fantastic! All female staff. I was very nervous at first, but every staff member Ive been in contact with has put me at ease. The waiting room is very comfortable and never crowded. I love that I know right away what Im being charged. No surprises. I freaked out during my blood draw and cried like a little girl and was super embarrassed, but everyone was really sweet to me. I was nervous during my ultrasound but the tech was amazing and made me laugh through the appointment. My doctor was very knowledgeable and I felt completely confident in her abilities. Whenever I call with questions or concerns, the staff takes time to help and discuss things. I will never go to another OBGYN office, and will absolutely refer everyone to this place ☺️ Thank you ladies!!!
This is the worst OB to ever consider. I went to my first appointment and only met with the nurse practitioner and she was very lovely. She explained that I will see the actual doctor on my third visit. I wasn’t too sure how the visits were meant to go since this was my first child. But when I finally met the doctor, it was such a rushed visit. She had no emotion in her tone and just felt like she didn’t care, it was just about the money for her. I am at the point of my pregnancy where I get to find out the gender and I called my insurance to make sure for that ultrasound that I would only have to pay my copay and they confirmed, yes. I am at the appointment and the OB office says I have to pay $200 and that was after insurance. I was not in the mood to argue so therefore I paid it. I get a letter from my insurance stating proof that I only needed to pay my copay of $35. I called my insurance to completely verify that and it was correct. I then called the OB office and explained to them that I need a refund. They took forever. First, the person I had to speak to was out and I had to call the next day. I call the next day and she says that she will have the doctor approve it that day and it will be about a week before I get the refund. This was on a Thursday. I cal the following week on Monday to make sure it was approved and the lady I’m meant to speak to said that the doctor did not approve it and she will get it done that day, again. It did get approved until the end of the week. They did not refund it back to my card but mailed a check a week later. But did not call to let me know that it was actually refunded or a check was sent out. Then I have an appointment in July with the same insurance and everything was fine. My next appointment is in August and they call me the day before my appointment to tell me my insurance does not accept them anymore. Okay, that’s fine I’ll find another OB. But now they want me to pay the out of network cost for my July appointment because my insurance didn’t accept them then but they did not tell me that and keep calling about payment but won’t admit their wrong in the situation. This is very shady office and they do not care for the pregnant patients and the emotional toll is takes on us. I would recommend never going to this place. My new OB is Maria Apigo and she is amazing. She truly loves her job and does it out of the kindness of her heart, not just a paycheck.
I have been going here for 2+ years. Started seeing Dr. Thompson during my first pregnancy. My appointments are always quick and everyone is always professional. Im now on my 2nd pregnancy and I have no complaints. Would recommend this place to everyone.
Ashley as well as all other staff here, were absolutely fantastic. I will always recommend you to every woman I know in need of the services provided. Office was super clean. The staff were so pleasant they guided me through everything. I cannot tell you how much ease Ashley put in mind. She’s a fantastic provider and I am very grateful for our visit.
My phone appt. was thorough and comprehensive! We were able to scheduled a blood panel, blood pressure, and other testing. I went in today and the experience made me feel so safe and secure. The text service is great and efficient. I’ve been going to Central OBGYN for a few years now for regular check ups, Pap smears, etc and it’s been a fantastic experience every time!
I gave this place a second chance and happy I did! They recently changed their staff which was much needed and the place is running as it should now. Before the phone would ring and ring could never get through and nobody would ever call you back to give you results from labs. With the new changes and new nurse practitioners the place is lovely and you feel that youre in good hands. My last experiences have been awesome, last time I went was for birth control consult and she was very knowledgeable and professional and super sweet! I recommend this place to anyone!
This office is great! The staff are all polite and helpful. The OB and Nurse are amazing and attentive. I have had some problems with scheduling before, but when I called concerned the office manager quickly assured me she would fix it and sent me personal emails regarding it! Im due in a few weeks and very excited I have the Dr. I have to deliver.
Not the best obgyn in town. It will takes about 50 mins after your appointment time to see a nurse practitioner. You can explain all your symptoms and concerns and they won’t offer blood work or ultrasounds to see what is going on . Safe your time and money go elsewhere.
My phone appointment recently was thorough, easy and I did not feel rushed or badgered. I was reminded, given suggestions and felt very comfortable. I LOVE this office! The staff and doctor is EXCELLENT! ...and PROFESSIONAL and patient focused! That is important to me.
Dr. Thompson is a great listener and a super creative thinker. Shes the best OBGYN Ive seen in years. I highly recommend her.
Despite having to wait outside in the heat until my appointment time, my experience was great! The women were super nice, helpful and funny. My physician who was inserting my birth control was super informative, sympathetic, empathetic and very sweet. I apologize for not remembering her name. I was in a haze after I left. But she was so funny and helped make the process more bearable.
The reason I give this 5 stars is because the bedside manners are exemplary. The care about the comfort of there patients. It is wonderful to have a fresh laundered gown with a warm cloth towel. I have trusted this agency with all my female care, including my two children in which were high risk pregnancies. The staff are friendly and accommodating to your needs. The doctors and nurse practitioners listen and incorporate your thoughts, wishes, and comments in your treatment. I would recommend them to anyone.
If I could rate this doctors office at a zero, I would. The staff is very incompetent and seem to be unclear on their roles. You have to follow up on everything, even when a prescription is to be called into your pharmacy. I waited weeks before hearing back on lab work and had to follow up with the office. The staff behaved as if they had no idea what I was asking about or why I would even be calling. ONLY when you call are your results uploaded into the portal. This office is extremely unprofessional as well, when you call to try to get information on your results because nothing is in the portal, they behave as if you are bothering them and speak down to you. As a matter of fact, Allison who answers the calls is very rude, and talks over you. When she realizes she cant just talk at you and all over you, she hangs up the phone.
My experience todays excellent in the office. I saw Ashley the PA, she was respectful, efficient, and knowledgeable. The COVID precautions were extensive, which I truly appreciated. I did have some glitches trying to schedule my appointment on the website, but ultimately was successful.
There have been a few hiccups with scheduling only because the Dr. had been called on emergency calls, but the staff was always very up-to-date with letting me know. The appointments go by pretty fast as far as the OB ones, and I dont mind it because I feel like when I do have questions, they get answered thoroughly. I have enjoyed getting to know about the staff, and Dr. Thompson is so educated and skilled in her practice, that I am very confident in her abilities to deliver my baby and have the best interest at heart! Highly recommend! Their lactation consultant is amazing too!! Learned so much in the free sessions!
I have had wonderful care here by Dr.Thompson and the staff. They are all very personable and truly care about the patients. I have had medical issues in my past so I have been to many doctors. The first time I saw Dr.Thompson she walked in with no computer, or tablet. She was telling me about my medical stuff and had to ask me very few questions, I had never seen that before at all, that was impressive. I had my baby with some complications and now I have a healthy fat sweetie and I had no complications with CS scar. I recommend this obgyn.
Everyone is this office from the receptionist, to the nurses, to the phlebotomist & to the physicians were absolutely amazing to me! The receptionist is super friendly. The physicians are also very friendly and take their time with you. They are very knowledgeable & listened to all of my concerns/questions! Im super big on customer service & they definitely exceeded my expectations in that!Dont come here with an attitude because youre having a bad day & making it seem like this office & staff are horrible. I was in the waiting room when a woman walked in already in a bad mood & started having a fit with the receptionist over having to fill out paper work BUT its a medical office, paperwork is necessary! Still in the midst of all the rudeness this patient showed, the receptionist remained super kind! Highly recommend!
I took a hiatus for a while from this office because I felt some of the issues I was coming for were getting overlooked. Recently, I started seeing NP Teresa and I must say she is really good with me. She listens, takes things shared seriously, and waits to get responses back instead of overtalking the entire conversation and then leaving like some providers. I love the change and really feel valued at my appointments now.
The staff were great and knowledgeable! Would highly recommend this facility to others.
Everyone was really nice. Welcoming and attentive. I was 5 minutes late but still with my check-in time 30 minutes before my actual appointment I had amble time to fill out paperwork before being called in. I waited maybe 5 mins and was seen by Dr. Lewis. She was super nice, asked questions, gave me the information that I needed, answered my questions and gave me options of care. I absolutely felt comfortable and like I was getting a great quality of care. Thank you.
The office is well-maintained and everyone is very professional. I have seen both Dr. Thompson and Nicole the NP. I did have one issue last year with not getting test results in a timely manner (no phone call that they were ready) but that was it. I recently saw Nicole for a Well-Woman Exam and she is Great!! Very through and takes the time to talk to you. I never feel rushed with her and she tells you what she is looking for when she does a Well-Woman Exam. I highly recommend.
Dr Thompson and all of her assistance are absolutely amazing. I am an extremely picky person and over the top when it comes to my pregnancy / children. The entire staff has given 100% effort and positive energy at each of my appointments, have made me feel nothing but comfort in their ability, knowledge and service, as well as gone above and beyond for each hurtle my personal life detailed. If you are looking for a great experience as you welcome your little one into the world, then you have found one of the best in Phoenix to partner with your health, labor and delivery.Way to go Dr. Thompson, Nicole, Amy and the entire Central Phoenix OBGYN staffThank you all so much for your positive energy and going above and beyond for me and my family!!!We greatly appreciate you all!
I have really liked coming here! Victory is awesome. She’s very kind and understanding and always takes the time to answer my questions thoroughly. The only thing is I was hoping to meet Dr Thompson sooner. We have a meeting with her scheduled for week 21 so I’m hoping she impresses us as much as everyone else has.
Victory was very kind and professional, she explained everything to me and respected my decision to seek natural medication over antibiotics. All of the staff were very gentle and made me feel more at ease. The wait time was pretty long, I waited 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Overall a good experience.
Ive been a pt. for 20yrs..under differ MD and location but moved with this group. This is the first time Ive been disappointed. No one answers phone, hung up on twice, scheduling is very difficult to do on line and would prefer to communicate through portal. No more customer service or really just care for how office is run. Time for a new MD I guess...too bad because the MD is great...office not so much.
The staff that answers the phone always keeps you on hold for extended amounts of time or you have to call more than ten times and hope that someone answers or you’re forced to leave a message that’s not returned for days.More importantly, when you get there, you have to read multiple papers posted on the door that says that you have to text a number, provide your name and DOB to let the staff know that your standing out in the hallway waiting to come in.Then, they take so long to answer the door you have to bang on the door to get someone to answer. It feels horrible just standing in a hallway.I wonder how would the people that own the practice feel if they had to do this.Every business has processes in place they feel helps protect a COVID spread, but this process is horrible and not customer/patient friendly.I’ve gone to several doctors offices here in Phoenix but this process makes no sense and is horrible.I suggest that the Doctor that own this practice takes time to learn and visit other practices to gain a better understanding of how to create a process that’s best for all.I’ve even complained to the office manager and the nurse practitioner and as of yesterday, things are still the same which tells me they don’t give a damn. Not to mention the office staff/techs that work there. They are slow, not knowledgeable etc. It’s clearer these doctors don’t believe in making the patients experience first.
I love, love, love the approach Dr. Thompson and team takes to support pregnant women. My concerns have always been validated, solutions have come quickly, and there is no judgement. I am so excited that I might get the chance to have a midwife deliver my child in a hospital if all goes safely. I love how Dr. Thompson and team listens to my wishes, hopes and desires. This has been by far one of the most empowering medical experiences of my life.
New to Phoenix and I was happy they were accepting new patients. The staff is really nice and my visit was great. It was easy to communicate with Dr. Lewis too.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I am 20 and have been to 3 different ob offices. Why? Oh let me tell you. My experiences with most offices have been terrible. To most offices you are a checklist with nothing to say. But my experience here was beyond amazing. I truly felt cared for and listened to. I HIGHLY recommend this office I cannot stress that enough.
I have been looking for a permanent gynecologist and decided to try them out. Yes they are in the process of moving and are in an area that is too small but the nurse practitioner that saw me today was awesome. You can tell she was very knowledgeable and had a personality that I enjoyed. She was very attentive and made sure every concern was addressed. I am definitely going back.
Definitely will not be going back to this doctor. She seems to have a great attitude and I only had one issue with the office staff because they did not call and verify my benefits and were asking for a referral which I did not need.My main concern is that it was her first time seeing me, she did not review my records and history before she suggested a specific treatment which because of my medical history, I cannot have. I tried discussing this with her but it sounded very much like she was a salesman with a script trying to get me to buy into the medication she was prescribing more than it sounded like she was interested in what I have been dealing with. No exam was performed or suggested before she had someone in the room trying to book me for an appointment to insert an IUD which I had not agreed to do.Another thing that was off putting, my husband was in the appointment with me and she did not acknowledge him once. He is always present at appointments with new providers especially when discussing medical treatments. My health is just as much his concern as it is my own. The fact that she didnt acknowledge him was off-putting to my husband and I definitely understand his concern with not being acknowledged as part of my care team.
I was new to the area and looking for a new doc. Everyone at the office was very helpful and nice, they got me in right away. The building was easy to find and parking was no problem. Inside was very clean! The receptionist and PA took great care of me. Other patients were really friendly!
I was so excited for my upcoming appt that was scheduled Mar 22. However, since Im not a permanent resident of AZ (Im a travel nurse), I was denied service. I have NEVER been turned away from receiving medical care due to the fact that I AM NOT A PERMANENT RESIDENT of the state Im seeking care in. I was so excited to go to an african american provider, someone that looks like me and could be trustworthy, however thats not the case. They waited until after I filled out all of my new patient paperwork to tell me instead of telling upcoming patients their bs rule up front. Theres no telling what other bs rules they may have as to why they wont see patients. Id avoid going to this providers clinic at all costs. Find an OBGYN who accepts all patients, and doesnt pick and choose ... especially a healthcare provider who is refusing another healthcare worker. So, just a heads up, no matter whether youre insured or uninsured, save your time and money and go elsewhere where providers are appreciative that youre wanting to entrust them with your care.
I have been coming since 2007 since Dr. Chambers was there making sure my son and I were great through the whole pregnancy. My son will be 12 years old as of tomorrow 7/10/20. I Love This Place. Its like my 2nd home. Dr. Thompson, you are the best and a strong wonderful loving caring spectacular woman. I Thank GOD & You for making sure all of my pregnancies were good and all 4 of my labors went wonderfully. Thank You So Much. Love You All @ Central Phoenix Obstetrics and Gynecology Office. Stay Blessed & Keep Safe. Best OBGYN Office In My Book.
The PA Ashley Miracle is by far the best clinician I’ve ever been to. She genuinely cares for her patients and actually listens to their concerns. She explains and educates in a way that I’m able to not only understand the what, but also HOW and WHY. Taking a holistic approach to healthcare, Ashley understands the interdependent factors (medical, behavioral health, and social determinants of health) that contribute to overall wellness. I can’t thank Ashley enough for all of the advice and support.
Doctor is 5 stars/ Admin is 1.I love Dr. Thompson. She has been my gynecologist since Dr. Johnstone retired. However, I never recommend this practice to my friends or family because I am always on the verge of giving up on it myself. The problem is that there has never been staff at the front or someone who answers the phone, who instills confidence in those who call. It was always a young people who sounded like they were given the job out of kindness and probably didnt graduate high school.Twice I had what I considered an urgent need to see the doctor. Both times I couldnt get access to the doctor in a timely manner or not at all. The first time, I had what according to internet research, seemed to be a cancerous development. I tried making an appointment on their awful appointment website, but the site absolutely wouldnt work. I called and explained what I was dealing with. The girl said she would get back to me to see when I could get in, but she didnt call. I called back every few days and left messages. I then got a hold of someone who said that the doctor was on vacation. They said theyd call me when she got back. They didnt, but I called and she had been back. It took weeks just to get an appointment on the calendar! The second last straw was less than a year ago when I injured my private parts going down an 8 story water slide. I thought I needed stitches and didnt want an urgent care doctor to be sewing me up down there! I wanted my Dr. Thompson! Again the website wouldnt work. I called but never got to talk to anyone. I left desperate messages for several days, but no one called me back. I gave up as I began to heal on my own.I just called now, but the recording says that if you leave a message, someone will call you back within 3 days. I dont think there is any staff answering phones anymore. The teenagers mustve quit. Everything is supposed to be done online.I remember the old days of Central Phoenix Ob/Gyn. There were real ladies who answered the phone. They cared about the women who called. They had answers and you knew they were going to get you in. They were calming and mature. The amount of money a practice saves by not hiring such women is not worth the dissatisfaction, frustration, anxiety that it causes patients.
Staff and providers are wonderful. I have seen Victory for the past two years. Last year she found a lump in my throat and advised I follow up with my primary care. Upon following up at my primary care’s office and after having an ultrasound and biopsy, I was diagnosed with carcinoma. I did end up having my thyroid removed. I don’t think it would have been caught if she hadn’t taken the time to throughly check me. She is great! Thank you Victory and everyone at Central Phoenix OB/GYN.
Ive been coming here since I was pregnant with my son who is now 3 years old.😊 I love how friendly everyone is and I admire how welcomed I feel every time. Dr Thompson is awesome and always makes sure to schedule me for my next appointments while Im there.😊 thank you guys! Love it here.
I just established care with this office last week and have been very pleasantly surprised by how punctual and friendly the office as a whole has been. I had my initial visit over the phone, due to COVID precautions, for which the provider called me right as scheduled and explained things thoroughly to me. I went in for blood work this morning and the office was very clean and nicely designed inside. The phlebotomist was very kind and answered all my questions.
I’ve met with PA twice (via phone call) already and I’ve been really impressed. I’ve had a longer and detail conversation with Ashley than I had with my regular doctor. She takes her time and doesn’t rush our appointment. I’m extremely happy with the service they provide that I will be doing my yearly check ups going forward.
Love. Love. LOVE this place!!! While under their care for about 7 years now I’ve had 2 kids. I literally have zero complaints and have always felt like I have been given personalized, heartfelt care. As we have moved over these 7 years I have changed my dentist, the kids’ pediatrician, and my PCP. I will drive as far as I must to keep coming here. They are THAT great!
Horrible horrible place, I do not recommend!! This place does not deserve 4 stars. First of Dr Thompson will not be delivering your child, she has not delivered a child in 3yrs. You are sent to her delivery team. Second you will probably only see the Dr 3 times if your lucky, the rest will be scheduled with the NP which I have nothing bad to say about them. Third your appointments will be moved around last minute, will be scheduled incorrectly and they will blame you for it at the end. If you are looking for a great experience this is not the place
Was referred here by my original obgyn AND my MD on an urgent referral, the original scheduling was horribly confusing and very extensive. After giving them all the information for the appointment, they only booked me for an ultrasound, not the urgent referral need to see an OB, and they dont even do the post ultrasound consultation with a physician to discuss if everything looks healthy (which is why I had an urgent referral). I tried to reach them after the ultrasound and got no response and am now having to circle back to my MD to get a new referral because the process here was so complicated. Not to mention, this is the only OB that refused a guest into the ultrasound room AND denied the right of the patient to get photo/video or do a video call to share in the experience with the father/my daughter. Staff was inconsiderate and condescending at best.
I have been coming to this office for years and have always had a great experience here. They are always friendly, professional, and they get you in and out of your appointment quickly, while still allowing you to feel comfortable asking questions if you have them. I am very glad I found this OBGYN.
This had to be the WORST OB experience I’ve ever encountered. I did not continue my scheduled appointment today because i was told before i see the dr, i needed to pay $250 upfront for my visit. My question to the person at the front desk was how much is the full visit going to cost and what amount is going to be billed to my insurance? Her response.. well I’m not really sure what the cost of the visit is going to be but this is the amount you have to pay based on your insurance. The communication with this office needs MAJOR improvement because this information should have been shared with me prior to setting a new patient appointment.Something as simple as “if you haven’t met your deductible we expect $X upfront”. Not after you’ve waited weeks For the appointment, took time off of work to make the appointment and wait around only to be told you have to pay $250 before you can even get into a room. I’ve never experienced anything like this and I left disgusted. I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for both quality care and service.
BE WARN to check eligibility and verification of insurance before making an appointment to this office. They will not give you notice that it is your responsibility to verify with your insurance. They do not follow standard medical office customer service procedure that you may be accustomed to in other medical offices. They are not complying in good faith of the patient, which is against the medical oath.I highly advise that you confirm which procedure, test, medication, and labs are covered by your insurance before you set up an appointment, do not complete any procedures, or send any lab work to the lab until you have confirmed with your insurance first. so you avoid getting billed for something that you could have gotten somewhere else and covered by your insurance. I am appalled at the level of customer service in this office. The manager is not following standard protocol for verification of insurance. They need to notify their patients of this with ample time at the on set of an appointment, posted in their office and in their policy. Patients needing care and visiting various offices for medical services count on a standard procedure for office customer service. If Central Phoenix OB/GYN is not going to abide by these standard procedures, they need to notify patients as a courtesy and in good faith. This statement doesnt reflect on my opinion regarding Dr. Thompsons care. I was very pleased with her attentiveness to my needs and questions.
I saw Dr Dern more than Dr. Thompson and Dern was the one who delivered my baby. She was great! The hospital did not want to admit me but she saw my discomfort during labor and had me admitted. As far as an office appontment I am always having to wait A LONG TIME. My appointment last week was cancelled because I was 20 minutes even though I called telling them I had left work late. I came in today and now I have been in the room for 50 minutes waiting. Totally unacceptable.
What an amazing OBGYN office! I spoke with Ashley and she was extremely knowledgeable and reassuring about my concerns. She took the time to go over all my options and was very thorough. If I could give more stars I would!
I have been with Central Phoenix Ob Gyn for over 7 years. i have had excellent experiences with Dr. Thompson and her staff. I see the one star reviews but Im not sure they were at the same office or seeing the same provider I saw. I have recommended Dr. Thompson to other friends and family members and they have had the same great experience as me. Do your own research but you wont find a provider who cares more than Dr. Thompson.
I made an appointment for a delayed period, got to my appointment about 2 weeks later to them all assuming I was pregnant...even after I called and said I had gotten a cycle. I sat on the table with my pants off and they had the ultrasound machine in the room and the dr never even examined me or anything... no pap nothing. I go out to the from and they tell me after insurance I OWE $250.... just for the doctor to talk to me for 5 minutes and say continue taking prenatals... I went back inside after leaving because it didn’t feel right and they said now I have to want 30 days to maybe be refunded some of what I paid. I’m sorry but they clearly need to get it together between staff because that doctor should of told her no ultrasound was ever conducted and no exam was even given. And their pee cups were literally paper cups and the bathroom was filthy... literally never considering this practice again. Let’s hope I actually get the money back for that ridiculous overcharge
Overall, I’d probably give a 4.5, however Dr. Gibson is truly the best doctor. I’ve been seeing her for 4 years and she is empathetic yet direct, listens to your questions and provides answers. I would highly recommend her as a doctor. The only reason I would give a 4.5 stars is at times the office administration has made some things a bit more difficult than it needed to be, but in comparison to other doctor offices not really that bad. Errors every once in a while is a small inconvenience that is totally worth it for a great doctor.
I cannot recommend strongly enough against going to this practice. I called to make my first appointment back in October. I was told that both Dr. Rachel Dern and CNM Emily Tarazi had availability for pregnancy patients. I told them I wanted to see Dr. Dern. At my first appointment, I was not seen by Dr. Dern, but instead by Emily Tarazi. The office is scary looking, chipped paint, whiteboards that hadnt been updated, fast food cups and bags on the reception desk. Reception is in a back room, so you could walk in and not be noticed. The patient rooms open directly into the waiting room, with only cardboard to block you from view.Their method of collecting urine samples is completely unhygienic. You enter the restroom, use what looks like a fast food water cup (clear, plastic, no lid) and leave it in a cabinet thats fully inside the restroom (no external access). You then sit and watch as several more patients file in after you leaving their own samples. No one comes to collect them in the 20 minutes you sit there waiting, making it increasingly likely someone could tamper with your sample. Finally Im seen. Very quick and perfunctory. No real discussion or effort to make me comfortable. Id been experiencing excessive nausea, and she only prescribed an expensive new medication not covered by insurance. At my next visit, I waited for nearly 2 hours (totally naked, mind you). They had informed me that Emily was on a delivery (which is understandable), so I could reschedule or see the other CNM. Setting up appointments around childcare is no picnic, so I opt to see the other CNM. After an hour and a half of waiting naked, I dressed and asked how much longer it would be, since I had another appointment to get to across town. They said it would be right away, and to get undressed and wait.So I wait another half hour (naked), and am finally about to give up and go to my other appointment when she comes in. It ends up not being a vaginal exam, so I didnt need to be undressed. Shes more friendly than Emily, and makes it obvious there were a lot of things Emily should have discussed at my last visit (including birth defect testing that wouldve needed to be done that week). At the end, I received a bag that I was supposed to get after the first visit. It contains a bottle of prenatal vitamins with the seal broken and pills missing, as well as some pamphlets. I dont even schedule my next appointment, because I know Im never coming back. I also ended up being late for the other appointment after all. That night, coincidentally, the insurance claim goes through for the first visit, and though my prenatal care is covered 100%, they billed it incorrectly, and I owe hundreds of dollars in co-insurance. The next day, I switched doctors. A month later, CPOBGYN still hadnt transferred my records, so I had to call again to get my records transferred. After months of insurance run arounds, Im told rudely by a billing supervisor (who apparently does not have a manager, according to her) that they wont be fixing the error because thats what all doctors offices do (funny, since the other two OBGYNs Ive visited for pregnancy havent). My second visit still hasnt been submitted to my insurance, so who knows what thatll be. From the sounds of it, theyre planning on billing that out incorrectly as well to recoup the losses from me switching to a new doctor. In the meantime, Ive received multiple bills from Sonora Quest Laboratories for nearly $1000 because they havent submitted the claim for my second visit, and they gave Sonora Quest incorrect insurance information (how is that even possible? They photocopy your insurance card for heavens sake). Ive since cleared all that up by talking to Sonora Quest, no thanks to Central Phoenix OBGYN.Overall, it was just a horrifying stressful experience that no pregnant woman should have to go through. I switched to Maricopa OBGYN after my experience there, and can highly recommend them instead.
I feel comfortable going here👍😊 I get along with the staff everyone is so sweet. Dr Thompson is very kind and chill she makes me feel relieved about any concerns I have. Victory is just such a sweetheart she makes everyone smile, and always feel comfortable 💜💚💙
This place was a trainwreck in every sense of the word. Never mind the fact that the incompetent staff here didnt order CRITICAL tests for our unborn daughter, and the person my wife was seeing quit the practice. Now, more than a year after we left to find an OB/GYN who wasnt an idiot, we receive a bill for $15 for services rendered in April of 2016. Seriously? Naturally, they dont have online bill pay, so when I called to sort this stupidity out, I was promptly put on hold for 15 minutes. Do not, under any circumstances, trust these people with your care.
I would highly recommend them! They took the time to listen to all of my questions and concerns, advised and recommended steps to take better care for myself, and were gentle with the pap smears. I get very anxious when getting them done as they often hurt me but they made me feel comfortable and I was able to get through it with ease.
I have been coming to this practice for 3 years now and honestly if it wasnt for Nicole I would have changed offices. Nicole is kind, attentive and doesnt rush through visits. She educates you as you are being seen and can honestly not say enough good things on her.Now the bad -*Front office and phone staff speak in a way that seems they have no idea what theyre doing*Got billed for 3 visits that were a year old - during makeshift office era*2 Physicians I use to see have left, Rachel and Luba, within the last year*Labs take 7-10 days for results!!*Seen speculums stacked on top of autoclave*Their phlebotomist has NEVER been able to draw my blood - 3 separate times was enough for me*There are no sinks in the individual rooms*Wait times can sometimes be longThis practice needs to clean up a bit and realize that Nicole can not hold the place together. If you have too many patients, please stop accepting more. Also, please invest in disposable speculums or clean yours correctly.Id like to note that Ive only been seen for GYN services , not obstetrics.
My 1st appointment today and it went great. Dr. Nicole made me feel very comfortable and took her time to explain everything. Everyone in the office was very caring and made the visit perfect. Totally recommended.
I have been attending Central Phoenix OBGYN for years! They have employees who care and a new office that is not only in a great location/building but will be spectacular! They have good amount of staff so you re always being attended to and I cannot say enough about Dr. Sharon Thompson! She is attentive, knowledgeable, personable and professional! After a few years of being in her care I am not pregnant and have great peace of mind knowing she will be the one assisting me with my delivery!Thank you, Dr. Thompson! I highly recomment Central Phoenix OBGYN!
Dr. is great... but I was over charged... I called my insurance to verify what I should pay and that the doctor is in network. They told me it should only be my copay. I am not a fan of insurance companies by any means, but just a heads up if they tell you, you owe more than what you think you do verify with your insurance and check your statement when you get it. Again I really like the staff and physician and think they do a great job.
Bad customer service, waited 7 weeks for ultrasound results that were performed at this office. Upon calling the office to find out why I was waiting so long, Adriana was very rude and unprofessional and told me well we just didnt follow up. I continued to ask her what the office protocol was for results, she continued her rudeness. Finally another rep called a week later and ask where did I have the ultrasound performed!!! WOW!! I normally dont give reviews but this is ridiculous, Im sure we all know where the conversation went from here.
Ive been coming to this practice since 2007 with my first pregnancy and have never had any issues. Theyve delivered both my children and will be delivering my third one. I wouldnt trade them for anyone the staff has always been friendly and the providers really helped me out a lot.
All I can say is I absolutely love Dr. Thompson. She is an amazing woman and offers FREE Lactation classes to all of her clients. She is even there until 8:00 at night with her patients. As for some of the comments mentioned earlier.... Dr. Thompson does not give as many vaginal exams as some doctors at the end of pregnancy. Studies show 1- increased risk of infection 2- increased complications 3- and that dilation has no say on when the baby will be due. I completely trust Dr. Thompson and she does what is best for her patients in any given situation. I would recommend anyone to see her.
I’ve been going to this OB gyn office for 3+ years but the service quality seems to be lowering as the years go by. The wait time is ridiculously long. Not sure if they have staffing issues but if you want people to be on time, make sure their appointment also starts on time.
We love Dr. Thompson and her staff! She delivered our first baby and are getting ready to have our second. The new office space is beautiful and conveniently located across the street from Banner Good Sam hospital.
I explained to them that I’m high risk and will need a cerclage and they just charged me $400 for a ultra sound and wouldn’t even let me see a doctor. They care more about money obviously then patients because it would of been nice to meet a doctor that cared about the patient that has already lost 3 babies. I paid $400 dollars just to get a picture and be told I’ll get a call. They didn’t even try to comfort me when I explained how scared I am. Smh
Worst doctor I’ve ever visited. The head doc spoke to me as though I made up being sick while pregnant. Thank goodness I’ve had a good relationship with my primary and was able to get the help I needed. Black or not, I do not recommend her.
My favorite gynecology office that I have been to by far. I never saw Dr Thompson, but her PAs were always amazing and understanding. I always got back on time and felt taken care of.
Found the staff to be unwlcoming and a bit rude. Waited 10 minutes before anyone was even in the lobby to check me in and then tried to turn me away when i was there at the time they stated to be there at over the phone. In the end, I was seen an hour after my apt under the guise of being accommodated which I was on time and shouldnt have been treated as though i was late in the first place. This is the 5th time Ive been seen my an obgyn for this vaginal issue. The dr acted offended over some of my concerns regarding my issue and was able to offer me the least help for the price of $40, an hour of my time, and a whole lot of embarrassing tears in the office.Would not reccomend.
I adore Dr. Thompson, the staff - meh. I called 3 times to see if this was the year I got my Pap. Always promised to get a call back - never happened.Today I had a 9 am appointment, got there at 8:45 to fill out the voluminous and repetitive paperwork, and wasnt seen till 9:35. Dr. Thompson apologized, she wasnt even running behind, and didnt know why her staff had been lollygagging.
They dont answer the phone and they cancel appointments with no call to follow-up to reschedule. Very unprofessional.
Horribly unprofessional. Had one single appointment where the doctor told me to come back in 1 month with just speaking to me and not even bothering to examine me. While leaving I clarify if I owe a copay, $20, which I pay. Day before my 1 month follow up I am called and informed I owe $80 for unspecified services. I demand to know why and the woman on the phone is automatically nasty and rude with me and refuses to tell me. I come in and the woman in charge of billing is extremely unhelpful and lists the coding for the service I went in for (AND DID NOT RECEIVE) and only offers that maybe someone will be able to explain why by tomorrow. Im honestly s hocked since this place came off as not horrible my first appointment.
I never leave reviews... Im also trying to understand theyre in the process of remodeling but my last visit was a nightmare. Dr. Dern is a sweetheart, its the assistants thats moving too fast and not taking time to go over charts before they take you into a room. Im trying to find a PERMANENT gynecologist but on the fence with this place. Word of advice.. Document every call you receive and PLEASE read the charts throughly before rushing into a room. I feel like the communication isnt where it should be... But under the circumstances, the building and location is nice and clean.
Been coming to Central Phoenix OBGYN for over a decade since Dr. Whitehead, to Dr. Johnstone and now Dr. Thompson. I left once and came right back. The environment has always been a pure pleasure and the staff treats you well. Sometimes I come out of there feeling like I just had a therapy session lol, but they do make you feel as if they truly care about you.
Worst ever. Was hardly seen by Dr. and when seen it was quick with little to no info. Felt like the Dr really didnt take the time to get to know about anything. If youre the slightest bit of late you will have to reschedule but theyre quick to ask you to reschedule when its their fault or theyre over booked. Always billed incorrectly and front desk can never answer a billing question and when you ask to speak with someone who you think would may know what theyre talking about youre asked to leave a message and never hear anything back. I Wish we would have done our research before going. Also left a pair of Versace glasses in the room where we were seen went back to get them 15 minutes later and the front desk lady said they might have cleaned up already which told me I wasnt going to see them again. I go back to where I left them of course they were gone and no one in the entire office seen them so that was disappointing as well.
Never on time. But if you’re late they ask you to reschedule. The doctor or nurse isn’t very personal seems like they run down a checklist. They provide minimal information compared to my original office off pecos. And the nurse is always asking about my child’s father like is going to be there and why isn’t he here. If I wasn’t so close to birth I’d go somewhere else. They hound flu shots and whooping cough but wants to talk you out the Down syndrome testing. Then the dr put emphasis on me not gaining weigh during PREGNANCY since I started off heavier. How in the hell is that supposed to be comforting. I’m tiiiiired of this place and it’s not making me enjoy this pregnancy at all.
Ive been going to central Phx Obgyn for almost 4 years. Even when I moved to east Mesa I stayed with this office because its an Awesome group of medical professionals. Ive never been anything but pleased by this office. If youre looking for a permanent Obgyn Dr. Dern and Thompsen are fantastic. Ive had well over 20 appointments here, had 3 babies with this office, and several lab tests and vaginal exams. I have no horror stories.
I can’t say enough nice things about central Phx Obgyn, they make you instantly feel at ease and are always explaining what they are doing and why.The nurses and doctors take as much time as you need and I’ve never felt rushed. They’ve answered my questions thoughtfully and listened to my individual needs. They remember little details, even after just one visit with them which is so rare to find.
I thought I was scheduling with Dr. Thompson. Didnt happen. Should you leave a voicemail message, it takes DAYS for someone to respond. The website is faulty. I set up registration in the portal and was locked out of it. Therefore, I couldnt receive the private messages that were transmitted after my appointment. Imagine the nerves I am dealing with. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.
Getting an exam is not fun, but at least the staff make it as pleasant as possible. NP Nicole was outstanding at taking the time to do a thorough exam, explain each step, give helpful advice while being warm and friendly. Truly dedicated!
This place has been great! The staff is wonderful and they made the experience very comfortable. I went in with a concern that I wasnt sure was a legitimate. They were very attentive and assured me that I was being reasonable in what I was wanting. The only reason I took off a star is because insurance might be difficult for some people since they seem to be out of network.
I had to make a last minute emergency appt with a gyno on a Friday afternoon- worst timing ever! Out of 10 clinics, Central Phoenix OBGYN was the only clinic to offer me an appt and I am so glad they did! The ladies at the clinic are very professional and make you feel at ease/comfortable. Victory (NP) is one of those people who radiates care and compassion. She listened to my concerns, validated them and went above and beyond to care for me. I just moved back to the Valley so finding new medical teams has been a stress of mine and my interaction with Central Phoenix OBGYN could not have gone better. Thank you!
Explained infertility issues and concerns to Dr. Thompson, both appointments she just advised me to lose weight. Never ran tests to determine reasons behind my infertility or considered my request to start fertility medications. Horrible and complete disregard for the patients concerns and request. Total waste of my money and time. NEVER GOING BACK!!!
Victory and Dr. Thompson are amazing and so informative on WOMENS health. Always made me feel really comfortable and they really listen. Ive been going here for 2 years now and its a great experience every time
Its a great place. I have been going to them for about 3 years and they are amazing. The staff are so nice and super friendly. Its never a long wait time. The doctors are really great and you can really bond with them over your visits. Its all around a great place I love it❤💜💙
I spoke with a NP about weight and it was a waste of time. I talked to her about a new prescription for a med that my previous GYN prescribed for hot flashes and she recommended something over the counter that I had already told her didn’t work. She said estradiol wouldn’t be good since I had migraines. I’ve always had migraines and estradiol never effected me before. The call was a waste of money and time. I paid for a conversation and not medical consultation.
Dr Thompson is very thorough in her assessment of your health and the path to take for treatment. She researched the impact of medications and treatments which is so much appreciated as a new patient.
Enjoyed having a black woman as my doctor who actually listens to my concerns. I felt a lot more comfortable and the rest of the staff is so nice and friendly. Happy I found this place!
Earlier this year I saw Dr. Thompson and I felt that she did not help me identify what my issues could be. She never issued any labs/blood work to test for anything that could be happening she took vague shots in the dark about what could be happening. She was so focused on getting me on some type of birth control and as a 45 year old woman, this is not what I wanted to do. For each visit, she went on and on about weight loss and celebrities. At one point she said well just face it your older and are going to die one day, and added that even Hallie Barry is going to die out of no where, which was puzzling to me. She offered no other solutions to my issues or concerns and I do warn anyone with serious concerns to stay clear. I will not return to see this doctor. This was definitely a waist of time, since now I need to start over with someone new.
I had an excellence experience! I’ve only been once but I’m anxiously awaiting my next visit. I’ve never had a doctor that actually listened to me and gave me as much information as my doctor here. Seriously such a lovely clinic!
Im not very good with doctors because i have had alot of bad experiences. But the staff and Victory made me feel comfortable and safe. Im glad i chose them to help me along the way with my pregnancy.
I have to say Im disappointed with this Obgyn. I have been seeing this obgyn since 2007 and I never realized how substandard of a service I received. You never get to see the real obgyn anymore; they only let you see the nurse practitioner. This wouldnt be a bad thing if they didnt mislead me about my pregnancy and the multitudes of tests they put me through for about 6months. In reality I found out the real reason of what happened after describing what happened to a new doctor and I am now pissed at the lack of communication, lack of notification of tests, and pure lack of knowledge about pregnancy! I would seriously find another doctor now until they get some competent staff. Im glad Ive moved onto to an excellent doctor for my pregnancy that is 900x more knowledgeable.
I have always been very pleased with this medical group. They take the time during my appointment to assure all my questions are answered. They are professional and kind. They have demonstrated great sensitivity to my specific needs. I highly recommend them.
I’ve been going here for a few years and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff is great, especially the PAs, and they’re excellent at making you feel more comfortable. They’re also usually easy to get an appointment with and really responsive to issues.
They dont have good service. I dont recommend them. Dr. Thompson has a problem with checking you to see if youve dililated. She didnt want to check me mind you Im 37 weeks prego. She said it doesnt matter if you did because it doesnt mean that your going to have the baby. Told me she had a patient that was 6 cinimeters she didnt have her baby till 3 weeks later . so therefore it doesnt matter. Im to far in my pregnacy to go to another doctor. But when I first went there my mind was saying find another doctor. I didnt and now I really regret that I didnt listen to my first mind. ;(Like I said I dont recommend them. If I have another baby I wont go to them
Very professional & compassionate. Answered all my questions & gave me a lot of vital information. The staff there really cares about their patients. I would recommend Central Phoenix OBGYN to anyone who is looking for a doctor in that field. Excellent work, ladies!
I found my new obgyn office. I received great customer service and worked with knowledgeable staff. The PA gave me a step by step of what was going to happen and provided me with some health education.
I really don’t like this place... always have bad experience with them, they always rush the appointment without giving me good info that would help me, I had to literally look up everything online to put my mind at ease from people’s pregnancy experiences, I actually never met the doctor that’s doing the delivery, I’m 35 weeks pregnant now and I feel that it’s too late to change doctors. They’re expensive, and I’m never coming back after my delivery.
I have been coming here for years, They are Always so helpful and kind. I love Ashley. She is so comforting and informative its like talking to a friend.
I was there this morning for a nexplanon exchange, I had misunderstood my appointment and they let me come in later on to have it done which Im thankful for. The front nurse attendant was kind and the doctor who did my procedure was very kind and informative.
The staff is amazing! They genuinely care for your overall health and well-being. It’s hard pressed to find a healthcare professional who will look at you holistically and not just care about your reproductive organs.
Dr Thompson is an awesome doctor! She listens and gives professional advice! I had a telemed appt and didnt think it would be all that. Happt to say it was so much more! Great appt with Dr Thompson.
The LPN I had was so kind to me. She made me feel very welcome and cared for. She was also a very good listener!
Staff are friendly but they have no real consern for patients concerns. Good luck getting a problem resolved with them.
This office is clean, efficient, and the staff is wonderful. Dr Thompson is compassionate, upfront and very knowledgeable. I am so happy that I trust her with my health needs.
This is my favorite gynecologist Ive ever been to. They were so kind and understanding and helpful to me when I went in for my well woman. I would definitely recommend them to anybody.
This office is great. I have been coming here for 10 years. I have had great service every time. Staff is very attentive and professional. Even with covid time they have adjusted to my needs. My questions have always been answered. Highly recommend this place to family and friends.
Im grateful for the level of service in this office! Ashley is always helpful and kind. Dama, Victory and Virginia are always hospitable. Feels like a family when I arrive. :)
NP Victory is amazing! Extremely attentive and was very thorough. She explained everything with detail and her calm demeanor made my experience a great one!
I love the physician I see here, she is so thorough in not only her examination but also in the information she goes over with you so you understand what you need to look out for as a woman. She always takes the time to answer any of your questions.
Dr. Thompson is a great doctor. However, the clinic is very busy and waiting for your consultation for over an hour of your original appointment time is extremely disrespectful of the patients time.
I love this office they work as team to take of me and they are always just a phone call away. Great service with compassionate care.
I have been going here for five years and they are fantastic. If you are unable to get in with the doctor, see NP Shelley. She is so helpful and willing to answer all your questions. I highly recommend.
I absolutely love this office and the medical staff. They are always friendly and timely. I would reccomend this OBGYN clinic to all my women friends and family.
Their staff is helpful, friendly and attentive! I am so glad I found them, and feel at ease knowing that I am well taken care of.
Only come if you do not value your time. You will wait hours, and to make make it worse you will wait standing in the hallway. Also you will see nurse practitioners not doctors.
I have been coming here for nearly 3 years now, and I absolutely love it! The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the new location is lovely. I have never felt uncomfortable or out of place here. Highly recommend!!!
What an amazing experience from prenatal care, through the delivery, and post natal care. Caring doctors and staff made giving birth to my second child the truly amazing experience that it should be.
My wife switched recently due to the lack of care that Dr Thompson shows her patients, she ignores your questions and brushes anything you have to say off if you want a doctor that makes you comfortable she is not what your looking for.
Everyone at this office is so friendly and welcoming. Its hard to find a doctors office where I feel comfortable and I finally found it! Thanks Central Phoenix OBGYN!
First time visit and saw Dr. Nicole. She was so warm and kind and made me feel comfortable right away! Very happy with my visit!
I love this place and all the staff Dr. thompson is the best of them all everybody is respectful and understanding they make you feel safe its always clean peaceful quiet and quick i look forward to all my appointments
The wait time is HORRIBLE!!! If you go and plan do go back to work after DONT, you will need to take the rest of the day off because you will be waiting in the waiting room for them to call you back for like an hour maybe an hour and a half. Once you are in the back you will be waiting another 30 minutes to seen my a Dr.
Drove for two hour from Rimrock. Had not been here since 2013. Planned to find new dr. In northern az. Changed my mind and will drive. Great experience. Will make the trip.
What I really greatly appreciate about the doctors here is that they take their time in explaining to women their medical condition and solutions or options. They show interest and concern for their patients. They are kind and caring.
I have had great experiences with the PAs and Assistant PAs over the past 3 years I have gone to Central Phoenix OBGyn. They are very respectful and helpful.
This place is great! My doctor makes me feel comfortable and always answers my questions. They are very helpful and the receptionist are very kind.
Dr. Thompson and Nicole are wonderful. Nicole reallllly makes u feel comfortable and talks to you about every single issue or non issue.
The entire staff was friendly and inviting. I appreciate the attention to me and my needs that the NP Shelly showed. I am glad they were recommended to me. I am now a lifer..lol
Dr. Thompson is amazing also very knowledgeable, her nursing staff is exceptional. I recommend her OBGYN office trustworthy.
I thought Ashley was wonderful and she immediately moved forward with my issue. Im thankful to have her as my OBGYN.
Don’t recommend this doctors office at all!!!! Victory is amazing other than that this doctors office is the worst! Always saying they’ll call you back they never do until you call them again and demand answers and they still get mad!
The office is actually amazing, what isn’t is finding out this office does NOT actually service your delivery. She claims to deliver at st joes and banner and she does not have rights to either hospital
The staff is awesome & the provider is so personable & really does care about her patients.
Best OB-GYN I’ve been to. They have excellent customer service and the providers there are down to earth.
New Patient. Had a great Telemed with Victory Amen, NP. Looking forward to my next appointment with Dr. Sharon Thompson.
All staff from the scheduler on phone, from the front desk chk in, to m.a. vitals,np Teresa to the lab tech...all absolutly wonderful staff ,had great experience from all.

Absolutely love this office, always a great and comfortable experience. From check in to check out everyone is always very helpful and professional.
Good location and I never have problems scheduling appointments. Staff is always professional and courteous.
Awesome office. Kind and helpful staff. Willing to do phone appointments due to COVID which I really appreciate!
Everyone that works here is so nice and friendly. I’m so grateful to have finally found doctors who are able to give me the answers and help I need.
I always had to call. Never got a call back when they said they would. Now they keep calling me to take my money and they forgot about my follow up appointment. Expensive and not worth it.
I love them! Very understanding and answers all your questions you have as a nervous first time mom!
Christina was so great ...she went above and beyond to anwser my questions and to give me anwsers that my regular provider couldve anwser
Every experience is professional and informative. I always feel at ease and well taken care of. Highly recommend!
I have been going to CPOG for over 10 years and I would never consider going anywhere else! Its great to be treated with respect and the staff is great!
Dr Thompson is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Stays current in her profession.
