Dr. Camran Nezhat is a wonderful surgeon and human being. He is committed to helping women with infertility on their journey to motherhood. He’s a perfectionist and I sincerely appreciate the meticulous detail he took with my surgery. I’m grateful to have had Dr. Nezhat as my surgeon and I highly recommend him!
Dr. Camran Nezhat and his team are just amazing people! They will go above and beyond to support you through the whole process, answering your questions and preparing documentation needed for a short medical leave or any other letters you might need for work. Dr. Nezhat is one of a kind specialist in his field. There is no other like him. He solved a very complex case of endometriosis, cysts and numerous fiberoids that I had. He ordered MRI, ultrasound and all other tests right away. He reassured me that it was not all in my head, that I indeed had endometriosis. He discussed all of the options with me in detail and there was no pressure for a surgery. I decided to do a hysterectomy, which went really well, with amazing nurses by my side. When I got the detailed report I was amazed how much was found and ‘fixed’. I followed his post-op instructions and am now fully recovered and pain free. I wish I found him earlier.
Dr Nezhat is a kind and highly competent surgeon. I am so grateful for him and his expertise in endometriosis. I know he was the best choice for my disease severity, and I am so glad I chose him
Dr. Nezhat and his team helped me with removing endometriosis surgically. I had lost most of the hope when I met Dr. Nezhat because of how advanced my disease was but Dr. Nezhat and his team gave me hope that he is confident that the surgery will help and he can do this. I was in surgery for over half a day and it was a long and enduring procedure which Dr. Nezhat excelled. Dr. Nezhat and his team are one of the best doctors for treating endometriosis. We are very grateful for all the help we received from Dr. Nezhat.
I couldnt be happier with the outcome of my surgery at Camran Nezhat Institute. I was well taken care of and my comfort was a priority to all the doctors/nurses. It was minimally invasive and my recovery time was very quick. I feel so much happier & healthier thanks to this place!!
Dr. Camran Nezhat and his team are thorough, thoughtful, communicative, and professional. I had an initial consultation with the best endo in LA and it didnt feel right so I flew out to meet Dr. Nezaht and was instantly put at ease. They were on top of insurance, billing, surgery prep - many key details that were not given during my LA meeting. In the first meeting, Dr. Nezhat spotted endo that no other doctors had pointed out before. He ended up removing 14 instances of endo during surgery. After having 2 miscarriages before meeting Dr. Nezhat weve now made it to the second trimester with twins! We are so grateful for Dr. Nezhat + his team and couldnt recommend them more to everyone.
Dr. Nezhat and his team are heaven sent. This was my 3rd procedure for endometriosis and my first from Dr. Nehzat. He validated the pain and symptoms I have endured for over 10 years. The bedside manner and wealth of knowledge throughout my journey was a blessing. This team is amazing, professional and thorough. He genuinely listens. In addicting he provides a wealth of knowledge for his patients and their families.
This is a long over due review for the best Endometriosis specialist, Dr. Camran Nezhat.I came across Dr. Nezhat when my left lung randomly started collapsing (pneumothorax) in 2019. My mother researched non stop after we put it together that my painful periods and collapsed lung were correlated due to my cycles/timing in the month. She eventually found Dr. Nezhat’s articles on the web which lead us to his institute in Woodside, CA. He was the only specialist that had first hand experience with thoracic endometriosis. We went to so many specialist at UCLA, Mayo etc. and no one knew how to handle my case. One UCLA doctor just suggested Lupron and called it a day. He had no idea what endometriosis was or that it could be related to my lung problem. As you could imagine this was an extremely stressful time for my family and I. Dr. Nezhat was a blanket of comfort and ease upon meeting him and doing an ultra sound. He had his colleague at Stanford medical perform my thoracic surgery and then he proceeded to do excision surgery on me. He removed the Endo from 30 different organs in my body. After surgery I felt like I had a new lease on life. I had no more painful periods and bleeding was so light and normal it felt unreal.I encourage anyone dealing with painful periods to see Dr. Nezhat and his incredible team immediately (Melanie, Michelle, Leslie just to name a few).At the time my insurance was not accepted at his office but the out of pocket money is worth the happiness and health it’s given me. I went so far as to get a new job with a company that accepted his insurance just to get the surgery done.20 stars to Dr. Nezhat and his staff. He has dedicated his life to this disease and helping women overcome endo and I am forever grateful for his kindness and dedication. I consider him family after all he has done for me. Sending luck to anyone trying to find help right now. Take my word and see Dr. Nezhat. He is truly an amazing surgeon and human being.
If you have stage 4 endometriosis and have been to the hospital numerous times then go to the best surgen in the world. I was in so much pain and had a massive cyst on my left ovary. It had ruptured and I had no choice to have surgery. He listened to me and eased my concerns.I decided to proceed with the surgery and Nezhat found endometriosis in my bladder, ovaries, rectum, my lower back and has to take out my appendix. I know if I went to an OBGYN they wouldn’t have even looked. It’s worth the traveling to know that someone who UNDERSTANDS the disease and the organs to check. 10/10 experience couldn’t recommend him enough and so glad I didn’t have my surgery in TX.
I highly recommend Camran Nezhat Institute to anyone seeking quality care. From the moment I walked in the clinic I really felt home and the staff was amazing. They are highly professional and were very responsive to my questions before seeing Dr. Nezhat. Then, when Dr. Nezhat came to see me he was equally attentive during the consultation. Needless to say, I walked out of the clinic happy and very hopeful. Thank you Camran Nezhat Institute!
Dr. Nezhat is definitely the best doctor in the world! He performed hysterectomy on me and i never had any issue since then. His staff are very professional and friendly. I definitely recommend him!
The worst experience I have ever had at any doctor. As a physician I have never encountered this level of dishonesty in my field. I went to his office for a consult, he tried to scam me for an unnecessary surgery stating you can have two procedures with the price of one anesthesia! Obviously this is because my procedure was very simple (just a polyp removal) and not lucrative enough for him. He then tried to diagnose me with endometriosis without a shred of evidence without me complaining of any symptoms. This is not normalBehavior. He then tried to bill me over $10k for a consult ultrasound. Yes it’s not a joke, this all happened. I feel responsible to share with other people. When I called their office they said oh that’s just what we do. And I just found out he has people working for him write the reviews which makes a lot of sense. I would have never gone to him if I knew his reviews are fake.
Dr. Nezhat, the best endometriosis (endo) surgeon! I’m a MD/PhD and not a gynecologist (gyn). I was introduced to Dr. Nezhat, by my prof at Stanford. His reputation is kind, sympathetic, patient, empathetic to his patients, a good listener, and he tries to do the best for them. He examined me on 2/15/10 and diagnosed me with endo in minutes. The 3 other gyns examined me in 5 yrs prior to see Dr. Nezhat didnt even mention the idea of endo or exploratory surgery and they took significantly longer to get me any results.I researched Dr. Nezhat: An incredibly unique professional who brought light & helped millions as he pioneered his invention video-laparoscopy surgery (VLS) & minimally invasive surgery (MIS) for endo. Pubs and even NEJM editorial reflect on the benefit of VLS & MIS, currently labeled as the gold standard approach thanks to all his efforts. It took 40 yrs for the American Medical Association to recognize Dr. Nezhat, for his pioneering, genius work w its highest award the Distinguished Service Award, for “meritorious service to the art and science of medicine” (2020). These facts truly speak volumes of the inventor-physician, who kept on helping patients & teaching the next generation of clinicians despite the ever so conservative medical community struggling to realize the value in such an innovative approach. The next day (2/16), I had surgery as Dr. Nezhat had an unexpected cancellation in his surgical schedule, otherwise unbelievably full. Dr. Nezhats plan was to attempt to treat my endo surgically. It turned out that I had the most severe form of endo (stage 4)! The most shocking part of this day was just how severe endo can get wo giving major symptoms, and as in my situation, can lead to 100% infertility. I had been labeled as an “unexplained infertility”. There is a misunderstanding that many people have in relation to women and their periods: All the symptoms of “unexplained infertility”, w or wo pain in relationships to endo have been normalized-including at times as regular symptoms of a period. Endo could be completely wo symptoms even in sever cases like mine to causing significant pain with its mildest form. There are so many women struggling to get pregnant; I cant help but think, could many of them have endo to a certain degree without knowing?Exactly a yr later, our baby was born on 2/16/11. ~12 years after my surgery, I started having pain. I went to see my gyn. While he was fully aware of my endo, the surgery in 2010, and imaging showing one cyst being bigger than my uterus, he put in writing: No worries, we do series of imaging. The cysts might just go away and surgery can be avoided all together. Then I saw an excellent gyn-oncologist who reviewed my record and recommended that I see Dr. Nezhat due to my past hx of severe endo. I scheduled a visit w Dr. Nezhat, someone who is world-renowned and has been conducting laparoscopic surgeries daily to treat endo for 40+ yrs. He did a massive surgery on 4/29/24 at Stanford again. Based on my research, I can state that no other surgeon would have been able to do all of the procedures alone that involved my bowels, bladder, ureters, appendix, and the entire pelvic region. My surgery needed a gyn, a specialist to address the colorectal endo, and a urologist for endo of ureter & bladder. Instead of having all these specialties participate in my surgery, he did it all himself. I left the hospital the same day and the following day I attended an award ceremony for my 13 yrs old daughter in her school.First time he helped us make our family complete, second time, 14 yrs later, he saved me from disease worsening, or to develop a malignancy. Will I ever be able to fully repay his kindness, professionalism, and the way he cared for me? No. But will I always strive to? Yes! I wholeheartedly recommend him!No words I can use that would in any way encompass the immense and truly beautiful effect that Dr. Nezhat had on my family. Clinicians like him are often only a once in a lifetime find, and thankfully in my case, twice in a lifetime.
As a healthcare professional with a doctorate, I approached my recent appointment with Dr. Camren Nezhat expecting a thorough and informative consultation, especially given my recent diagnosis of endometriosis. Despite reading mixed reviews, I decided to give him a try, as I was desperate for help. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the outset.Upon arrival, I was asked to undress before even meeting Dr. Nezhat, which felt impersonal and inappropriate. When the doctor learned I was seeking a second opinion he seemed taken aback and remarked, “I’ve never been anyone’s second option,” which suggested a focus on his ego rather than patient care. Despite driving 7 hours for this appointment, the consultation was brief and uninformative.During the ultrasound, Dr. Nezhat pointed out a cyst on my left side, incorrectly suggesting that my previous doctors had missed it. This cyst had been diagnosed in 2016 and had consistently appeared in every MRI, CT, and ultrasound since. He even instructed my husband to take a photo of the imaging with his phone to show my doctor, implying incompetence on their part. The doctor confirmed I needed surgery for my endometriosis, a conclusion that had already been established. When reviewing the recent MRI results I provided, he dismissed the actual imaging, stating he only needed the report. This approach raised serious concerns about the thoroughness of his evaluation and left me feeling that my concerns were being disregarded. I sought more information about my condition from an expert, but it became clear that because I wasn’t planning to have the surgery with him, he wanted us out quickly. While the staff was helpful over the phone and via email, providing quick responses, the in-person experience was quite different. When I questioned the necessity of undressing, the nurse walked out with an attitude, adding to the uncomfortable atmosphere.Overall, the visit left me feeling frustrated, unheard, and concerned about the quality of treatment. I would not recommend Dr. Camren Nezhat to anyone seeking comprehensive and attentive medical care.
A lot of patients comes here as a valuable 2nd opinion, or last resort. We the whole family travelled from southern California to see Dr. Nazhat, for this 27min office visit with an ultrasound, we received a bill of $10,480. Yep, 5 digits. And after researching this on Yelp (I wish I had done this earlier), this happens to at least another 2 patients. The ultrasound costs $8454, while normally it costs < $300. This clinic is out of network for our insurance, we had the good faith and travel all the way to see him, but they do not seem to have the good faith of treating the patients fairly. I do not even dare to imagine the cost if we really proceed with surgery in this clinic.Be very aware, you have been warned.
We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Camran Nezhat for his exceptional care and expertise. After experiencing multiple miscarriages and seeing several doctors, Dr. Camran was the only one who accurately diagnosed my condition as endometriosis. His assurance that I could get pregnant again and carry my baby to term gave us hope during a difficult time.Dr. Camrans diagnosis and treatment were spot-on. I became pregnant right away and had a smooth pregnancy, delivering our baby on time. If it werent for the referral to Dr. Camran, we dont know where we would be today.Thank you, Dr. Camran, for your dedication, compassion, and expertise. You have made an immeasurable difference in our lives. Dr. Camran, you are the Angle in our lives.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
The team and staff are amazing resolving my issues, making the process easy for my procedure to go smoothly. Can’t explain how happy I am with the outcomes with everything.Thank you Dr Zehat and team for everything you have done, to make my experience hassle free.
Wonderful experience from beginning to the day of my consultation. Their facility is really nice and everyone is very helpful and friendly. The doctor was honest and open with my diagnosis and gave me true and honest treatment recommendations.
Dr. Nezhat is the only doctor I will trust when it comes to surgery. Him and his office staff are AMAZING. Seriously, the staff are so kind and helpful. Shout out to Leslie for answering all of my questions! Theres been many others who have helped me too. Thank you all
Camran Nezhat is one of the best. Don’t wait like I did to get treatment. Just do it. You will be taken care of like family the whole way thru. You will not regret choosing the Camran Nezhat Institute.
I had my surgery about 4 months ago and I can boldly say that I feel so much better. Dr. Nezhat is an incredibly skilled doctor. If you’re ever in doubt about consulting with him on your endometriosis, I am here to tell you to go ahead and contact his office.I’m so glad to have met him. He took all my complaints seriously and right after my first appointment, I felt some hope.
Best Dr ever, i had endometriosis problems and only one phallopian tube after an ectopic pregnancy I was very sad and thought i would never be able to conceive.I went to visit Dr Nezhat and he said everything was going to be ok, he operated me and fixed my remaining damaged phallopian tube and my endometriosis 2 months later i was pregnant.I am very greatful and happy this Dr is the best there are no words to describe how grateful i am.NHDominican Republic
Amazing group of professionals. I have known Dr. Azadeh Nezhat per years now and she has always been the same knowledgeable, caring and supportive doctor.
I’m from Chico, CA and multiple local OB/GYNs told me that I had no chance of conception and encouraged a hysterectomy- I was 25 years old without children. My case was so complex and rare, the local Dr.s didn’t know how to treat my condition, but their egos made them reluctant to refer me to the expert. Dr. Nezhat assured me that he could fix me and gave me his word that I’d be a mother one day if entrusted him. After 3 major operations at Stanford- he kept his word and made good on his promise. I now have a beautiful, healthy 4yr old- my son exists because him. He is gentle, kind, comforting, brilliant, and compassionate. God works through him- he is an Angel in human form. I am beyond grateful that I was blessed with his care. His staff was always friendly and supportive. He is a brilliant surgeon and an exceptional man. There aren’t enough stars to appropriately rate this physician.Thank you Dr. Nezhat for helping me when everyone else said it couldn’t be done. I am blessed with joys of motherhood because of him.
Cannot recommend Dr. Nezhat and his staff enough. From my initial consult to post-op follow up, every single person I interacted with was so kind and extremely informative.I was diagnosed with endometriosis a little over 2 years ago after undergoing laparoscopic surgery by my OBGYN where I live in Austin, TX. I had experienced abdominal pain on and off for a few years until it became really intense in 2021. With history of cysts, I thought that could be it but the procedure proved otherwise. Unfortunately the relief from surgery was only temporary and came back after about 6 months or so on and off. My OBGYN couldnt figure out why after I tried Orlissa and birth control to manage the pain. I saw several OBYGNs after for second opinions, as well as a urologist and pelvic physical therapist. No one knew what to do to help and my pain only kept getting worse. I decided to do some research on specialists across the country and Dr. Nezhat was listed everywhere as a well renowned endometriosis doctor. I scheduled a consult and booked a flight to see him 2 weeks later since my pain and symptoms were becoming so crippling that I was struggling to be mobile and show up to work.Dr. Nezhat knew what was wrong with me after one consult in May 2023 once I told him what my symptoms - abdominal pain, nausea, aches, headaches, chills, urinary urgency, and bowel issues on top of the constant excruciating pain I was feeling on the right side of my body. My lower also back hurt, my legs and feet had unexpected muscle spasms, and I felt exhausted ALL the time. My anxiety was through the roof. We decided to go through with another laparoscopic surgery but he had a different approach - look at all the organs in my pelvic cavity since they can be affected by endometriosis. He reassured me that I wasnt crazy and I was scheduled for surgery 2 weeks later. I want to note that they provided me with detailed paperwork regarding every single cost associated with the surgery and outlined what would be covered by insurance and what wouldnt so there were no surprises. I was so impressed since no other doctor has been that transparent on pricing before. The staff was INCREDIBLE at the surgery center. There was a bed heater so that I wouldnt get cold which was amazing. Its the little things! My nurse and anesthesiologist were so attentive and patient throughout the whole process and just made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Nezhat popped in before to reassure me everything would be OK. Turns out my endometriosis was nearly everywhere which explains why I was feeling so awful. I was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis which I didnt even know was a thing. They checked in with me every day for 3 days post op to make sure I was feeling OK and healing properly. They also provided me with the most detailed pre and post operative instructions that Ive ever seen. I knew exactly what to expect going in and out of surgery.Im going into my 5 week post op appointment tomorrow and they sent me another incredibly detailed report/recap of my surgery. I never received anything like that from my first endometriosis surgery - I didnt receive anything written regarding my diagnosis so I was so impressed. I have had SO much energy and feel more like myself than I have in 6 months since having this surgery. It almost brings me to tears. I still have some soreness but so far the pre-surgery pain hasnt come back.Again, I just cant recommend Dr. Nezhat and his staff enough!! I got my life back and I owe it all to them. Dont walk, RUN to see Dr. Nezhat if you are having continued issues with endometriosis or unanswered pelvic pain! It is not normal to be in pain all the time and he knows exactly what hes doing. I could say so much more about the experience but this is already so long lolThank you Dr. Nezhat and team!!!
I have stage 4 endometriosis and needed a surgery for the same (a second time). My previous surgery and recovery experience (elsewhere) was not great, so we wanted to go to an expert and get the best care this time. Did our research and found Dr. Nezhat. He is really an excellent doctor and surgeon. He and his team did my Laparoscopic surgery in late February 2022 and the recovery experience from this time was surprisingly (and dramatically) different from my first surgery. The clinic gave us very clear instructions for me to follow before and after surgery and following them the recovery was truly very smooth and fast. We realized that a surgeons skill can make a huge difference in post-surgery experience for the patient. After the surgery the pain from the stitches and residual gas was much less than I expected, and went down in a matter of days. In fact I was able to go back to work in person in just 2 short weeks after my surgery. Financially, unfortunately Dr. Nezhat was not in-network for us; but their facility gave us very transparent breakdown of all the costs wed have to bear, there were no hidden charges. I am glad we decided to go to him. The best part - after the surgery following Dr. Nezhats advice we did post op endometriosis suppression therapy for two months and then in the third month (May 2022) I was able to get pregnant! I am very grateful to Dr. Nezhat and his team for their excellent care and surgery skills, and would refer him to others without any hesitation.
My husband and I struggled through 5 years of infertility, multiple OBs and fertility specialists, and kept hearing unexplained secondary infertility. Every provider I saw told me I was fine and to keep trying. I saw Dr. Nezhat Nov of 2022 for endometriosis excision and isthmocele repair and was pregnant a month and a half later! Im now 6 months and have Dr. Nezhat and his team to thank!
Dr. Camran’s office was prompt with scheduling appointments and the procedure itself went smooth and the post op process was also done effectively and everyone was friendly.
I am a physician. I knew I had severe endometriosis, yet had trouble convincing my local gynecologist to treat me, even when he saw implants on a related surgery. Dr. Nezhat correctly diagnosed me and saved me when my disease had become so extensive some of the implants could have killed me because of where they were. His skill is unsurpassed, his knowledge extensive and his manner with patients is calm, caring, gentle and respectful. I have the highest praise for this amazing doctor and human.
I cant say enough great things about Dr. Nezhat and his team! I was going through IVF and my fertility doctor sent me to him for endometriosis . He knew right away, even when my OBGYN was extremely doubtful that I had it. When I had my consultation with Dr. Nezhat, he listened to all my concerns and made sure to explain everything very thoroughly. He made sure to speak with me before and after my surgeries and months later called me personally to see how I was doing! If there is an example of a doctor who loves what they do and does it to help others, this is him! He truly cares and it shows. I am forever grateful to him for helping me through this stressful time in my life!
Like so many of his patients I cannot sing his praises enough! He is undoubtably the best endometriosis doctor in the country and a medical pioneer. He is completely dedicated to not only helping women with this disease, but also finding a cure, raising awareness and educating other doctors all over the world. I was truly blessed to find Dr. Nezhat at my lowest and most painful part of my 20 yr battle with Endometriosis and PCOS. When I met him I could barely walk into his office because I was in so much pain. After my exam, where he had found problems all of the previous doctors had missed, I sat down in his office with excruciating pain and a nervous husband. He grabbed my hand, looked me straight in the eye and said, I am so sorry you are in so much pain. I dont want you to worry anymore. We are going to help you with this. I was so relieved at his empathy most of all, but also at his ability to find and be able to help with what so many had missed, that I broke down right there in his office crying. I had had two emergency room visits at that point and had initially passed out from my abdominal pain. I found myself in the Stanford emergency room after my first visit locally to the hospital and local OBGYN. The first doctor wanted to perform a full hysterectomy but couldnt fit me in till 2 months later! I had found Dr. Nezhat after looking to find another minimally invasive doctor and discovered that he was the inventor of minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for Endometriosis. Im not going to lie and say that I didnt read some of the scary articles out there about him as well as raving reviews of other women who suffered like me and were helped. After having met him and his staff, I felt like some of the negative articles were really an assassination of the character and integrity of this man who tries so hard to help women with this issue. It really made me sad especially after sitting in his waiting room and reading all of the hundreds of thank you letters from women he has helped who felt helpless and now have miracle children. My surgery with Dr. Nezhat occurred one week later after my first visit with him. I had so many problems with my insurance approval prior to surgery with which Genesis from his office worked so diligently on accomplishing, keeping me informed all along the way. His entire staff from office to doctors were so understanding, professional and truly kind. Every part of the process was so detailed from explaining exactly what was to be done, to risks and possible complications. He made no guarantees that my Endometriosis would not come back or that I would forever be pain-free, but assured me that he would do everything that he possibly could to rectify the problem. He told me that at this point there was no cure for Endometriosis. I was sent home with packet detailing instructions for care and what to expect and was told to call day or night if I needed help with anything big or small. It was a relief to know that I had such good support, especially considering that I live about 2.5-3 hrs away. Dr. Nezhat was able to give me a partial hysterectomy, removed my Endometriosis, saved my ovaries and even took the time to drain all of my 20+ cysts that I had on them. The previous doctor would have done a complete hysterectomy, so I am so grateful that at my age my ovaries were saved. I was left with only 3 tiny marks along my bikini line and less pain in recovery than I had before surgery. I have since had my follow-up where everyone in the office was so genuinely happy to see me feeling better and gave me hugs as if I was part of the family there. I am completely pain free and feeling amazing at this point and would recommend Dr. Nezhat to any women with Endometriosis. He, Dr. Azadeh Nezhat, and everyone in his office are truly angels and I can never thank them enough for giving me a new life!!
I have stage IV endometriosis, i have had seven surgeries . Two Laparotomies and 5 laparoscopies. I even went to Dr. Seckin, one of the renown specialize in new York city who did not care about my well being, performed laparotomy which gave me more problems and pain. However, i will say i had a wonderful experience with Dr. Comran Nehzat. He was very patience , he listened to me and was willing to help me. I live in Maryland, i flew with my mom to California to stay for a week. The surgery was performed at Stanford hospital. It was all worth it. I feel much better. I thank Dr. Nehzat and his team for the great experience. If you have endometriosis especially stage IV and you are experiencing pain. I will advise you to try Dr. Comran Nehzat in California.Thank you very much, Dr.Nehzat. I now have two beautiful children.A 5 year boy born in 2017 and 2 year old girl born in 2020. Ill forever be grateful .
I cannot find enough words to thank Dr Camran Nehzat. He is a God sent doctor who can help women going through the endo pain which at times feels like an endless suffering. He is the most compassionate doctor I have ever met and known, a very caring person, honest and needless to say a great surgeon. He has got the healing touch for sure!I had a severe endo when I first met him, but he gave me the confidence that he will make me pain free.He performed a surgery on me which was pretty complex, in 2020 and within 4 months I was being able to get pregnant naturally and blessed with the gorgeous baby girl.He has an excellent staff who was very supportive during pre operative and post operative care and follow ups.I religiously followed all the instructions and the dietary changes suggested by him and his team.It helped me recover faster.I am forever grateful to him for helping me through this stressful time in my life! I am glad that I could find him during right time:)
Dr. Nezhat is the most caring and amazing surgeon that I have ever met. He performed laparoscopic surgery on me, and removed severe Endometriosis from my uterus, ovaries and surrounding organs. Not only did it really help the pain, it helped us conceive a beautiful baby girl naturally. I owe so much of my happiness to him and his staff. They changed my life.
After years of suffering, and endless surgeries, 8 years of trying to convince, failed IVF cycle, and endless emergency room visits for pain medication, I finally found Dr Nezhat. I flew all the way from New York to California just to see him because I knew in my heart he was going to be the doctor who will help me. I was diagnosed with endometriosis stage 3 in 2018. I had a total of 3 laparoscopies that were just ablation and to remove chocolate cysts! Literally 2-3 months after my surgeries, the pain was back! And in other places than before! I had lost my left Fallopian tube due to the damage as well. I was in constant pain and not just on my period. It was before my period, on my period, before ovulation, during ovulation I would be in the ER because the ibuprofen and Tylenol wouldn’t help in the slightest, and during intercourse. I’ve been married for 8 years and can have intercourse about once every 2-3 months because I couldn’t take the pains every time. My poor husband suffered with me through all this. I never knew I had endo since I was 13 I had pain, but from the ages 23-31 I was always told I had a “simple” cyst and to take BC pills to shrink them and THEY NEVER WENT AWAY! It was so painful every single month on my left ovary especially. And then one day I said I need help. This is not helping me every month to be on these pain meds! I searched dr tamer seckin but he is out of network with insurance, and I found Dr Nezhat. I found out also he was founder of the world wide EndoMarch along his siblings! I called to make the appointment, got it after just a few days, booked my flight and hotel and brought my mom along! My first visit was on the 14th on january, and my surgery was on the 20th! I know it was such short notice but Dr Nezhat and the entire staff are so amazing and kind! I flew back home 2 days after. I can say that this surgery was way more painful to heal from than the last 3, but this was excision surgery! I remember I could barely walk into that OR because I was ovulating the day before and was DYING in pain, but the lovely Anesthesiologist has gave me some IV meds and not only took the edge off, but helped with the pains! I am 24 days post op and I FEEL AMAZING!!! The pains are completely gone and I feel like I was just reborn! I am 32 years old and I feel like my old 22 year old self again! Dr Camran Nezhat saved me, and gave me my life back! I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me! He is confident that I will get pregnant naturally even with 1 tube and I trust him! He is truly the sweetest doctor ever! Not only does he listen, he respects you and treats you like his own! If I can shout it out loud THANK YOUUU, it’s still not enough! I spent a lot of money for hotels and plane rides, but I can say it was truly worth it! I recommend any woman or young girl suffering with pain, to go see him, because he is miraculous!

So I would like to tell you about the amazing Dr. Nezhat. In 1985 I had a pain from cysts that were ongoing. My doctor was going to retire in the next two months (and he was actually a good doctor)....but not before I keeled over in his office from pain. He and his colleague had to perform an emergency laperotomy at Tarzana Hospital in California and noone suspected I had endometriosis. I was keeling over in pain from what my doctor thought was a cyst that they thought had somehow gotten bigger.. The doctors took out what they could in the short period of time as they could not get everything out and even at one point wanted to perform a hysterectomy but my dad who was a physician and a good friend of theirs as well begged them not to and saved an ovary and a half .Just before my doctor retired and apologized for not knowing I had that condition he sent me to the USC center of Endometriosis which was supposed to be the expert hospital on this condition That was so untrue. USC put me on danocrine that did nothing and said my pains were in my mind. Actually the endometriosis was returning but noone believed me including the USC physician. My dad who is a doctor found Dr.Nezhat in Newsweek magazine where there was an article about him doing experimental lazer surgery which was showing great success. He was just beginning to do lazer surgery then. People came from all over to see him. It was 1987. The doctor at USC told me it was a waste of time to go there because he said my endometriosis did not grow back. He showed me an ultrasound and told me there was no sign of endometriosis in the ultrasound and said I was overreacting and imagining that it came back... Wrong he was.. Dr. Nezhat and his brother Farr saved my life. After 5 hours of lazer surgery in Atlanta at Peachtree Dunwoody Clinic they zapped out class 5 endometriosis that had grown back. I was so angry at the USC doctors who told me I had imagined it all grown back that I cried. Dr. Nezhat told me to not be angry but rather to educate the Drs in California and try to let others know about this process. Two months later I got pregnant with my son Jeff now age 31 and two and one half years later with my daughter Lisa who is now 28 and I have a little granddaughter from Jeff and his wife Christine and one more on the way. I know Dr. Nezhat met my husband Mark on a healthcare project years ago and Mark told him about how well my kids were doing. He had not seen pictures of them in about 18 years... Dr. Nezhat was so touched. Anyway he has made a difference in so many womens lives. Endometriosis was misunderstood for so long... I owe everything to him and his brother Farr. So if you have pain and cramping, get an ultrasound and maybe you might have what I did. My life would have been so different if my dad had not read that article in Newsweek magazine and found the wonderful Dr. Nezhat. I owe everything to him. Susan Sulu Dubow Chatsworth California...
Dr. Camran Nezhat saved my life 2 x. I have a very complicated case of stage 4 endometriosis and he was SO amazing in helping me eliminate the pain and have my life with my son. Dr. Nexhat is the most patient and skilled doctor i have ever been too. His staff are professional, kind, patient and always available to help you with whatever you need. Best Doctor & staff. An infinity of stars
Dr Nezhat is far and away the best doctor/surgeon I have ever met. Nothing I can say really does justice to the man: He is extremely intelligent, as in, he wrote the book on minimally invasive surgery for endometriosis. Literally. Yes, literally. He teaches and lectures all over the world. He also tasks himself with sharing his knowledge and gifts by offering training for other doctors in a fellowship program. He is a compassionate and caring person. He is passionate about helping woman and in fact dedicated his life to it. He founded the #worldwideendomarch. A rare breed and a truly outstanding doctor and overall human being. He is nothing less than blessed. I count myself extremely lucky to have found him and recommended him to the nth degree. I would trust him with my life... and have... twice. He made it possible for me to get pregnant (easily) after over 10 years of “unexplained” infertility and pain where countless other doctors had told me there was nothing wrong. My story is nothing short of a miracle. The only regret I have is that I didn’t find him sooner. I now have 2 beautiful children (naturally at age 40 and 45) and I am completely pain free. His office staff are also top notch, making it their personal goal to make you feel comfortable and cared for. They meet your needs quickly and with a genuine interest in you. 💙
I was referred through a Dr. in the central valley he was the only Dr who would refer me out since I had HMO where I worked which was a medical clinic. This was in 1990s no one had ever talked about endometriosis to me we thought constant pain was adhesions. I went 3 years here in Visalia trying to get someone to listen to me they all thought it was in my head. no energy, flu like symptoms for 3 years. Dr. Nezhat saved my life. Changed my whole life around. the most caring, kind surgeon I have ever met. Truly a guardian angel for Womens health. There isnt enough stars to review him with.
As a recent college graduate pursuing a career as a surgeon, I was very fortunate to have the wonderful opportunity to meet with Dr. Nezhat. He ever so graciously took me under his wings, and I have been his intern since September.Working with Dr. Nezhat is truly an honor and a privilege. Words cannot express how appreciative I am for being able to learn from him and his outstanding team.My internship includes seeing patients, observing surgeries, conducting research, and working at the Million Women March for Endometriosis Headquarters. Every single patient I have seen with Dr. Nezhat and his fellows has nothing but wonderful comments to say about their experience. The most remarkable thing I have experienced, and continue to experience, is the great sense of humanity and compassion Dr. Nezhat and his fellows embody, when dealing with each patient. They genuinely listen to patients’ stories and actually care about personalizing and administering the best treatment for these girls and women. I have seen a multitude of physicians, due to my own health conditions, and it is very rare to be treated as kindly as Dr. Nezhat and his fellows treat their patients. My early encounters with patients, whether it was before or after their surgery, made me quickly realize how incomparable Dr. Nezhat is to other laparoscopic surgeons and endometriosis specialists. Without a doubt, from the testimonials of his countless patients, Dr. Nezhat is the best in the world, as easily proven by the numerous women who travel not only across the nation, but from around the world as well to see him. While I am still in the beginning stages of my medical education, I have learned more than I ever have at any other internship. Not only does Dr. Nezhat teach his fellows the necessary skills to successfully perform his surgery, but he also teaches them the art behind healing, which I find to be very humbling.I wish I could thank Dr. Nezhat in a way that encompasses my eternal gratitude towards him. He has enriched my life in so many ways and I know he respects me, even though I am incredibly miniscule in his world. All I can say is that I will always strive to follow his footsteps and to never let him down. Dr. Nezhat, thank you for revolutionizing and enlightening the expectations I should hold myself to as a future surgeon. I hope I will make you proud.
Dr. Nezhat and his colleagues performed a minimally invasive surgery on my wife for endometriosis, which we discovered after a painful, late-night visit to the emergency room.Throughout the whole process, Dr. Nezhat and and his team were incredibly supportive, empathetic, and encouraging. They patiently explained everything that we needed to do, all the steps in the process, and what we should expect afterwards. Everything was very clear, and all our questions were answered. They provided us with all the information we wanted, including primary source articles. On the day of the surgery, everything went perfectly, and after a speedy recovery, my wife was back to playing beach volleyball in just a few weeks :) The surgical scars are tiny, and the surgical teams attention to detail was outstanding; they checked for all sorts of other problems, and luckily found nothing other than endometriosis. Its so rare to find a doctor who is willing to invest this kind of time to actually get to know their patients, and Dr. Nezhat is a brilliant example of a real, honest-to-goodness doctor who cares about the people he helps. He is what I wish every doctor could be. Dr. Nezhats extensive experience and soothing manner inspire confidence, and in this hurried, modern world of health insurance and managed care, his compassion, empathy, and dedication to patient care have an almost old-fashioned quality. But at the same time, he has pioneered cutting edge techniques for minimally invasive surgery. I am so incredibly glad that we chose him to perform my wifes operation.A big thanks also to Dr. Parsa, with whom we also worked closely prior to the surgery! He was also incredibly informative and reassuring. The whole team was excellent!
As other said, Dr. Nezhat and his team are EXCELLENT. I was diagnosed with two ovarian cysts and endometriosis. My symptoms were vomiting, cramps, night sweats, headaches, backaches, fatigues, and continuous bleeding. I did my surgery on 3/12/2020, and it went GREAT. After 4 weeks, I was able to return to work feeling healthy.THANK YOU DR. NEZHAT, DR. ASIAII, and TEAM.
Himself and the staff are the best most kind people ive ever met they are so genuine and always on time with my appointments accommodated to my needs always very helpful dr nezaht saved my life!! He helped me with my stage 4 endometriosis and i am now pregnant with triplets!! Love this place i highly recommend already referred 3 of my friends with endo to him.
So far i have had a great experience with Camaran nezhat and the office.
He can sniff the endometriosis out! He is an amazing doctor, treated all my pain and now I am pain free. I trusted him every step of the way and felt cared for the entire time. I flew from Idaho to see him in Palo Alto, Ca and its the best decision Ive ever made.
Dr. Camran Nezhat saved my life when after multiple surgeries my pain remained debilitating and doctors at the Mayo Clinic declared my remaining symptoms to be all in my head had referred me to their psychiatrist. My symptoms were actually endometriosis that had deeply penetrated through my diaphragm muscle under my heart and lungs and into the sheath of my phrenic nerve. It was scarring my liver to my diaphragm so every breath felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife. in my shoulder and an ax above my navel. He had operated on me previously but he listened and went back in and did not give up. He changed my life. I actually was able to resume my career and carried a child to term in my early 40s after multiple miscarriages. THANK YOU DR. NEZHAT. I will be forever grateful to you, my personal hero!
I ended up getting pregant after excision surgery with him! He’s an incredible specialist and very careful to preserve your fertility. Highly recommend a consult to anyone who even thinks they may have endometriosis!
Pleased with the doctor’s assessment and the staff overall.
The man is as cold as ice. Had surgery with him and never heard from him again. He likes being a god, money, and recognition. He does not like actually caring for women’s unique conditions.
Everyone at the office is so kind. And it’s so nice to hear “you’re not imagining this”, “your pain is real”. I would 100% recommend this office. I drive over 4 hours just to be seen here.
I felt he was a little fat phobic
He is simply the best
