Would have gone to my previous provider but my network changed, so I came to this clinic for a specific procedure I needed to do. I called to set up the appointment, made it clear what specific thing I wanted to do, and did the pre check-in steps online. It did not ask me for any previous medical history or records other than the standard allergies or health problems.I go into the exam room and the nurse started to ask about previous medical records and test results, which I didnt remember off the top of my head because the last time I went to an OBGYN, it was years ago. My first thought was, Why was this not asked about online, when I was filling out all the paperwork?I tried to log into my providers website to look at the results from a previous visit and didnt know how to read them, because of course, Im not a doctor. I tried to show them the results and then they told me that because in 2021 I did that procedure in combination with a specific test, that I wouldnt be eligible to do that again and my insurance wouldnt cover it until it had been 5 years out from the last time (so they argued I didnt have to do this procedure until 2026.)Not only was this contradictory towards what Id been told by my previous provider and just general health knowledge, I have never walked into a providers office and had a NURSE try to tell me what was or wasnt covered. I work in insurance, and from my experience, most providers do NOT have the knowledge or experience to comment on how particular diagnostic codes would be covered under someones insurance plan off the top of their head.Furthermore, I was on a different insurance plan three years ago (with a completely different company!), and again, because I WORK IN INSURANCE, I know that insurance companies dont typically reach out to your previous company to be like, Hey, did Megan have a routine physical in August 2022? Because shes trying to have one in June 2023, which is less than one year later. No. Just no. They dont do that. They then tried to ask me if I wanted to do other procedures/exams/tests instead. At this point, I was deeply uncomfortable with the idea of doing anything else because it seemed like they didnt know what they were talking about, billing-wise, and I didnt want to end up with a huge bill.Afterwards, I contacted my insurance to ask them about it. They said that I wouldnt have been denied coverage for that visit and it wouldve been covered, in full, as a routine visit. I contacted my previous provider to ask them if I was ACTUALLY due for another procedure as it stated in their system. They confirmed that I was, regardless of the testing results from my previous visit. In short: a complete waste of my time and I didnt get the care that I needed, and will need to take MORE time away from work to get my care at a completely different office. Do not go here.
Ive been to several other planned parenthoods and always had a pleasant experience but Ill never be coming back to this location. Yesterday I had an appointment scheduled and I got text and email reminders for it all week. I arrive 10 minutes early, only to be told that I dont have an appointment scheduled and that it was scheduled a month away. I said thats not possible, I specifically scheduled this appointment because it was a available much sooner than with my primary doctor. They said there was nothing they could do because the only appointment they saw was in a month. I ask what we can do, I never got notified that my appointment was cancelled, and like I said I had been getting appointment reminders all week and that same day. I did not schedule this appointment a month away. They say they can fit me in as a walk in so I can just wait. So I sit and wait patiently in the lobby. After nearly an hour and a half, I ask if theres any time estimate. They then proceed to tell me that theyre fully booked with appointments, theres no guarantee that Ill be seen, and that they dont have any time estimate. This should have been made clear when they said they could fit me in as a walk in. They then proceeded to blame me for not knowing that my appointment was cancelled and rescheduled. They said that someone had tried to call me, but my voicemail was full. Absolutely not true. My voicemail is not full, I did not receive a call, text, email, NOTHING about my appointment being canceled and rescheduled. I had been getting reminders all week!! I was speechless and just left because at that point I was so frustrated.I understand that appointments get cancelled and rescheduled, but you have to let your patients KNOW when this happens! Why did I continue getting reminders, even on the day of?!I understand that walk-ins dont always guarantee being seen and you may have to wait a long time, but you should BE CLEAR about that. In the beginning, they made it seem like it wouldnt be a big deal to fit me in so I assumed it wouldnt take hours and hours of waiting.Very, very, frustrated about this experience and I will never be going back to this clinic.
Giving a 3 star because 2 weeks later I received a call back from the triage nurse when I requested that right after my appointment with spymtoms re appearing . Luckily i decided to just go to real hospital . But they are kinda slow , especially when neededing to hear back from the doc/nurse you saw prior …but 2 weeks later from a call back was way too long, after I requested that right after I noticed things were not still right. . But then again kinda thankful they still tried calling me back , but 2 weeks later ?!….
I had an appointment on lined up but I wanted to get some testing done asap. I got there and explained that I had an online account and appointment. The staff there were phenomenal, kind and down to earth personality. I explained my situation and they fitted me in for the testing (yes I had to wait for a while but I didn’t care it was worth it). Got done and had peace in my mind! I’m grateful for the help at the Woodbury location! My gratitude to those staff there. Thank you.
Again, Ive never been able to be seen AT my appointment time. Ever. I can show up 15 minutes early and still be seen 10-15 minutes after my actual appointment time. I can show up on time and itll be 15-20 minutes to wait. My appointments are for a single shot that literally takes less than 5 minutes unless Im feeling chatty. Its impossible to predict how much time to block off in my schedule for this simple appointment. What am I missing??
I love this clinic and the people that work there! They are always really friendly and extremely helpful. I’ve had no issues with appointment scheduling or getting my refills when I need them. Just a warning though for my fellow females: One time I was given the incorrect BC pill prescription (same name just different dosage amounts for different days). I only noticed and returned once I noticed different packaging they apologized and helped me right away. Hasn’t happened again nor did it seem like it would; sometimes people just have a long day! Double check what you have is correct before leaving, you probably should do so anywhere anyways :)
My experience at this location has been horrific that past two days. I normally schedule an appointment but have been told every single time that I go in that it’s not necessary for me to make an appointment to get my birth control shot. They insist that I can just walk in when needed. So this time I decided to walk in and the first thing the front lady said was the wait will be very long. Then when she tried to schedule me an appointment, she couldn’t. She then went to a lady in the room near by and was talking about me with the door open so I could clearly talk. My situation could be heard by anyone( luckily no one was there). She told me to come back the next day and they would for sure fit me in. I went the next day to be told the provider is not there and that I need to come back the next day. At this point I’m done trying. This location needs to get it together. I normally love going to planned parenthood but after the rudeness and no help, I will no longer go to planned parenthood for service. I will not recommend either.
I made my appointment easily online and they were ready for me when I got there. They helped me with my financial situation, set me up with extra supplies and supplied the care that I needed. Very comfortable and clean clinic. All staff were super sweet and well trained.
If I could give this place a zero I would. I had an appointment today at noon that took 2 weeks to even make and when I got there 15mins early the doors were locked. I thought no big deal im early so I decided to wait in my car. Then 12 comes along and I go to walk in and the doors are still closed and im a little irritated at this point. Now its past 12 and the doors are still locked with 4 other customers waiting outside with me. After waiting a bit I called them to figure out whats going and got hung up on after waiting on the phone for 15mins. Then I call back again to find out the office is closed for the day because staff decided they wanted called in. I didnt get any kind of call or email notification about the cancellation. Had to reschedule another appointment that is going to take another 2 weeks. This is the worst service I have ever expirenced. An hour of my time wasted for nothing. Even if you make an appointment they dont care.
I went to get an IUD, and I was pretty nervous. I couldn’t handle it, and ended up passing out. The staff was extremely helpful, and stayed late to make sure I was okay. It was a terrifying experience for me but I did feel safe & like they cared. Thank you.
Staff was supporting at first and said I was perfectly qualified for everything and when I went back for what I needed I was rejected with no notice before hand. The lady at the front desk with tattoos told me she would call me after she figured out how to help me and I received no calls! I thought plan parenthood was supported to help women in need... Terrible service!
I made an online appointment and the staff were ready when I arrived. The receptionist was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. The rest of the staff were welcoming as well. I highly recommend!
Everyone is so nice here
I called FIVE TIMES in one day at various hours when they were OPEN and waited on the line 15-20 min each time with no answer. NONE. NOT ONCE.
Always a quick visit. No waits and always greeted friendly
Superior staff consistently since 1983!!!
