Dr. Cates has been an absolute blessing for my spouse and I wish we had found this clinic sooner. We have struggled to find a primary care physician that provides informative, compassionate care and is also lgbtq safe and, though this clinic is small and focused more on community care rather than aesthetics, we have found what we were looking for here.Everyone on staff has always been kind though they are clearly handling a heavy workload and schedule. Even when there is something is out of their control (marketplace insurance nonsense) they have done their best to explain and help us navigate the issues, going above and beyond.

Tried to get me to pay a $100 copay for initial visit. Maybe they switched to being for-profit. Either way, there are clinics in the area that only require proof of insurance for low cost or free services. Be aware.

Sometimes when I call I can get a dental referral right then and there. Othertimes they tell me I have to wait (months) to see my Dr so he can give me one. It all depends on who you talk to. I brought this up with a few people but it still happens. Now I cant keep my appointments. They will probably need to do x-rays again and stuff. Probably cost extra money, times that by everyone else who is having this problem thats been going on for years. Also your reply to Timothy is just a bunch of hot air. Nothing has changed..

Extremely disappointed by the treatment that Aime provided me along with being lied to. Her communication was terrible along not being told the truth as of now I am still waiting on any feedback regarding rental assistanceIt was so difficult for me to ask for help and she had the nerve to judge me. She needs better customer service and she needs to have compassion. Thank you for triggering g my anxiety in trusting.

Dr. Cates is really nice like the nicest doc i ever had and robert at the front was really good. but lately like for the past year they never ever answer the phone. i call 10 times and no answer, no call back, no appt reminder. robert used to be really good about all that. and dr. endo is not as good about lgbt like he will ask weird questions and make you feel so uncomfortable. im trying to switch to kind clinic but they have waitlist until november. so im stuck just calling aarc over and over. and I have to take whatever I can get cuz theyre literally the only available lgbt clinic for almost 100 miles so they can treat you however they want and get away with it. they really need a new receptionist cuz who they got now NVER answers the phones or does their job ever, and its made a massive negative difference, like I really wanna go somewhere else now just cuz I never get anyone on the phone and they never know what theyre doing and they never remind me of appts or call back, nothing. robert needs to come back to front desk or hire someone else fr fr cuz it ruined aarc for me and dr endo is weird

First off, the case management staff has always been very helpful with everything I need. I very much appreciate them and their helpfulness. Unfortunately the clinic itself has been a disaster to deal with. I moved over to the Aarc Clinic from the Ffacts Clinic about a year and a half ago because the doctor at Aarc could be listed as my primary care physician for my insurance, something that I could not get from Ffacts. My first negative experience happened when I went in for an appointment they made for me for blood work. After sitting in the waiting room for half an hour I was called to the front desk and told I could not have my blood work done there because they could not process it through my insurance and I would have to go to a Quest lab for blood work. Most recently I was contacted by the clinic the day before my last scheduled appointment and told they would have to reschedule because they somehow booked me with the wrong doctor. The next available appointment they had was 5 weeks later. I asked them to put me on a list in case an appointment got canceled. They called me last week to tell me an appointment had opened up for today. I cleared my schedule for this morning so I could make the 10:30 appointment. At 9:30 this morning they called me and told me they would once again have to reschedule my appointment because my doctor would not be in today. I have never experienced this kind of nonsense from a clinic. I have health issues that need to be discussed and addressed but I can’t because the clinic can’t seem to meet their responsibilities to their patients. I will be returning to the Ffacts clinic where I have never had these issues and I will be seeking a new LGBTQ friendly primary care physician elsewhere.

This place gave false negatives, lost my bloodwork several times, got faulty results. Case managers sweet talk you in the beginning and then suddenly its impossible to reach someone. The clinic is ridiculous, if you can afford to go to ACTUAL professionals, please do. Dont bother leaving a voicemail asking any questions cause they dont even respond to voice messages regarding health concerns. If youre totally lost, sure come here to get some guidance. Then leave. Find somewhere that will treat your health like it actually matters. Would not recommend to any friend or family member, maybe just to the homeless.

I’ve been looking to find non judgmental easy going and a safe place to get tested, as being part of the younger lgbtq+ community it’s hard to find someplace to feel safe at, when i came to get tested by arturo not only did i feel safe i also learned plenty of things about sexual wellness that i didn’t know before, i recommend all my friends to arturo and i will definitely be back for the recommended 3 month visits, he was nice, easy to talk to and, very knowledgeable, thank you aarc for having such amazing easy going and knowledgeable staff, i will definitely get the word out more about y’all and what you guys do for our amazing community

I contacted Jeremy Lozano through a referral process and he was unfortunately not able to help me at AARC, but he DID go out of his way to research preventive medicine clinics that would take my insurance and provided me phone numbers and names of people I should contact. He went above and beyond his job and I am thankful for that. Additionally, he followed up a few days later to make sure I was able to get appointment with the resources he provided.

I am the care taker to a loved one, and have found the staff at this facility to be very rude, over worked, and unprofessional. I would not recommend this as a place for care for any loved ones. Dr Kasper is the HIV Doctor at AARC Clinic, he is a horrible doctor that is also in a Lawsuit in Victoria Count Health Department for taking patients health records and not giving them back. He is rude and has been in over 4 cities the past years. Makes you wonder why he moves around so much. Stay away from him...Everyone Else is Great! If Dr. Kasper was gone would be a better place.....
