The Kind Clinic is a fantastic organization! Their services play a tremendous role in our community. They go above and beyond with their willingness to provide the care / guidance their patients need.Outside of the clinic, I recently had the chance to work with Khalen Garcia on a fundraiser event and I have to say, it was such a pleasant experience. He was kind, organized and communicative throughout. We need more like him!- Sean D.Owner,A Royal Flush Luxury Restrooms
I would love going to kind clinic a lot more if their scheduling wasn’t so atrociously awful. they keep rescheduling my appointments and then accusing me of missing appointments because somehow my provider is never available to see. i’ve been going here for two years now for my hormones and im so close to just saying screw it and finding somewhere else because there is constantly an issue with scheduling every single time i’ve had an appointment for the past year.
Truly a wonderful place for what I was seeking. From beginning to end, the service was impeccable! The staff and environment was so positive and polite. I want to thank Dr. Passmore for her diligence and compassion towards her care for me. I’m so blessed to share my life and journey with everyone. I can not express the professionalism and organizational structure of how smooth my visit/appointment was. I had a blast, and everyone made it that much better! So, I can definitely say, please set an appointment for not only a “KIND” clinic, but supportive individuals who care and truly deliver the essence of what they are there for!
This is my favorite place to do all my STI testing. Its a nice, cute, little clinic with friendly staff. I prefer to go here as opposed to my regular doctor since this place is specialized in STI testing, and I feel more comfortable here talking about this stuff with them. Sometimes regular straight clinics dont understand the importance of getting tested regularly.
Quick Conclusion: Only come here if you want unreliable & it costs just as much as someplace better.I was wait listed 2023, waited 3+ months & was told to call in to make an appt. within a certain amount of time or Id be kicked off the waiting list entirely. Scheduled appt. in 2023, but the only time they could get me in was 3+ months later in 2024 in the middle of the week. When I asked them a bunch of questions BEFORE getting on the wait list, I was told my visit & blood labs would be free & Id just have to pay for the meds, I was also told the blood test was going to be an extensive one which included hormone levels on estrogen, testosterone, & progesterone, & if I wanted to add something to the test I could. They dont send you ANY reminders, they just call a couple hours before to ask if you want to cancel... like after 7 months Im going to suddenly change my mind?I spent over an hour on the online check in going through all of their extremely weird & repetitive questions. Also, someone misspelled some of my personal information, even though it was written down for them when they put it in?I arrived early so I could take my time, a few people came & went within 15 min, which seemed awfully fast & it makes me wonder why it took me so long to get a visit if theyre that fast. I noticed a new sign that said if you have insurance, we now require you to pay for your visit. I have insurance because Ill be fined if i dont, so i felt like i was lied to. I was never notified of the change in policy before my visit in the 7 months I was waiting. There was a picture of a lady in her underwear posted on the wall in clear view of the whole reception area, for some people that can be triggering. My visit lasted under 1 hour. I talked to 5 different people in very quick succession & they all kept going over the exact same stuff, as an introvert I completely crashed for a few days afterwards because of this, it was almost like they were trying to see if Id mess up or something. The only person who seemed professional was the one who prescribed me my medication, one guy was dressed like he was ready to go to the gym instead...I was surprised at how good they were at taking my blood though, most medical places have had a hard time with me. I was even more surprised though that they read everything I answered on the check in out loud... I would have said less if I knew theyd do that. There is an option to apply for financial help, its a slight pain to deal with but it can pay for the prescription at least, if you qualify & go to a specific pharmacy. I was told the blood work would go through my insurance & Id get billed that way, but that didnt explain much or when Id get a bill or at least a quote of some sort. Makes me uneasy, theyll pay for a $30 prescription but not a possible $200 blood lab? (2 months later, finally got the bill from quest labs... for $150!!! - My previous doctor charged me $10-$15 for better quality test results, but the visit itself with my past doctor would be $150. So there is NO point in coming here for financial help.)The blood test was nothing more than an extremely basic check of red blood cell count, plasma, electrolytes, etc., and it didnt even have any actual numbers, its just a blanket report saying normal.I was told their pharmacy would be better at getting my medication ready, but they are only open during the week. It actually took them 5 business days (7 with the weekend), they make you call them repeatedly so you are constantly telling them to do their jobs. While my old pharmacy would ALWAYS have it ready the same day or at most 2 days & theyre open 24/7, are closer, have a drive through, and no phone calls are required.Doctor originally said meds were 1 month worth per refill, my medical account says it lasts 30 days - but the pharmacy refused refill before 42 days, when I asked the doctor about the inconsistency they said thats what the pharmacy has to do, basically telling me they cant/wont do anything about it.P.S. their survey is not anonymous.
Great clinic, the front desk girl could be more caring/friendly, but overall good. However, DO NOT TRUST THEIR WEBSITE!!!! It’s never up to date!!! CALL CALL CALL, sometimes they do walk ins, sometimes they don’t, they change testing hours, call before you drive all the way here and get an unpleasant surprise.
Walk in hours are not as advertised, and the website doesnt let you actually make an appointment. The only way is to call this # and wait for a long time :(*UpdateI setup an appointment, but received no text or email confirmations and had to spend another 15min on the phone to be able to talk to someone just to confirm my appointment. I also received no first patient forms digitally as promised, adding time to the process.I then arrived for the appointment on time and didnt see a receptionist for 20min. Nobody was at the desk. When the receptionist did arrive, she sat down without a word and proceeded to check in the three people waiting.Everything about this interaction was unpleasant and tiring. What should have been a 30min walk in + 50min round trip ended up as:- x2 50min round-trips to the clinic- x2 15min phone calls***Update, tried walk ins. Got here at 12:15pm, walk-ins start at 12:00pm. As of 1:57pm I still havent been seen. Appointments will always take precedent over walk-ins. They started turning people away for walk-ins around 1:00pm.
This place is dead of foot traffic came because their automated pre recording said no appt needed for walk ins. I came today and some short hispanic man with glassed and curly hair inform me that walk in was not accepted because the staff is out for training. Although they do have the sign on the door they could have updated their phone system to say something like no walk in available at the San antonio location/branch. The guy said it was intended for the Austin tx location well perhaps yall needs to get a separate a** phone # to be directly for San antonio only cause the automated system did not give no d!@# specific location and I am new to coming over here. So hell no I wouldnt recommend this place. I guess I have to go to down town to get serviced. Be kind my a$$!! If you need to get serviced without an appt go to San antonio aids foundation, I was able to get serviced after leaving from this place.
The kind clinic provides exceptional care, I cant possibly recommend them enough. My visits with them have been some of the only times Ive felt truly listened to and respected in a clinical setting. Each and every staff member has been extraordinarily friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to provide you with all necessary information and care. I have and will continue to recommend their services to anyone who needs it.
Most of the staff was wonderful, but there was one male who was trying to do my bloodwork a few months back and was incredibly rude. Shoutout to the nurse and the person before him for being so sweet. Other than that the phones is the issue. When I tried to cancel my appt I couldn’t because your phone does not connect to the office. You need to make sure the phones actually work so that if we have a question you can answer it or if we need to cancel our appt we can do so. Other than that I love the Kind Clinic!
I went to their clinic and it didnt have a very friendly vibe when I met with the tech. I had to be stuck three times cause the first guy didnt know what he was doing. Then I was told the results would take five days max to get back but it almost been a month. I was in an accident and needed those results from my test so I had to call them, only to be told they lost my results and the blood draw needed to be redone. They had an entire month to contact me but not a word except for a repeated link for a survey on how they did. I wouldnt trust them or waste your gas going here! They seriously dropped the ball and didnt even seem that sorry about basically wasting my time and hurting me with how many times they stuck me just to get a single vial of blood. Also they told me their ability to give free exams was ending too and it would need to be charged to my insurance sometime in January of this year. Just go somewhere else.
So glad I found this clinic, my provider took her time addressing my concerns and discussing my symptoms with me. I have severe health anxiety, and having someone listen and take my concerns seriously really helped put my mind at ease. Got some rest results back pretty fast. All at no cost, cant thank this clinic enough!
Best Clinic Ive ever been too, you cant even tell they specialize in STDs. Their Virtual department is perfect too for out of residents of San Antonio to still receive care!
Everyone at Kind Clinic has been such a great help to me. I am so blessed to have found their clinic that has been helping me on my journey! I always feel welcomed when I go there because it is so serene and peaceful, I can truly let my defenses down because I know that I am in good hands!
Overall a pleasant experience and staff are friendly. Only issue is that the operators on the website phone number can be quite rude. I had a possible exposure last year and got started on pep, and when I called two months ago, they said I had already been there recently(which was a follow up appointment) but in reality it was last year.I had a few hours before the 72 hour time window but the operator made no effort to try and help. They gave me an appointment that I could not make in time and pretty much left me on my own. Thankfully it was a false alarm, but it does seem that pep is a one time thing for this organization.clinic staff: 4.5/5organization call center: 2.5/5
Best clinic ever!! They were the only people i feel like actually listened to me and helped me. They fit me in the same day thankfully and were super nice and explanatory. They made me feel comfortable asking questions and doing any tests. They also were very LGBTQ+ friendly with gender neutral restroom and choices when asking questions.
I absolutely love coming here to receive my gender affirming care. Everyones very nice and it feels like a community. I used to be really anxious due to past healthcare experiences but now I feel at home. Thank you everyone for being so kind. Getting blood work is quick and easy, and I dont have to fight to get the right dose of hormones.
Today was my first time at the Kind Clinic and it could not have gone better. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I felt comfortable and confident in my care with them. I highly recommend them.
Second time going there and the whole staff is extremely nice. The people that take your blood for tests explains everything and is always very nice and gentle. As for the doctors they are also always nice and make sure that you are comfortable and makes sure to use your preferred pronouns. Definitely recommend this place 10 outta 10
The Kind Clinic has shown me that I am no longer am Alone in my personal fight. The Empathy and Understanding the staff has is top notch and I could not recommend a better place for anyone with limited or unlimited financial means. Thank You!!!
Such an amazing establishment with Kind and very up-to-date, modern and respectable team. I love how they are with the times and very educated people who are aware of that in the medical field that people are just people especially when comes to your medical health . I love how the staff is m well-versed and educated and Just wanna make sure you received the best help I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone forever.
Came here the second day of opening and its the best place Ive gone to for LGBT services and much more, very very professional, the entire facility is clean, setting is great, productive, caring, i feel every interaction is 100% genuine, they showed me how to do my treatment and made sure i had no questions left, i use to go to planned Parenthood for HRT services and well.. yeah sucks, so i went here and i left happy and feeling actually taken care of, will definitely come here again and i definitely recommend it! i have no complaints at all
I love everything about the kind clinic. I feel safe, comfortable and able to express myself and when I need something the kind clinic is always there. Thank you. Keep up the good work Jhen’e
I wanna take the time to make a review because i had such a good time here. Im really scared of needles but getting blood drawn here for a test was a breeze. The staff is so caring and helpful i was recommended to this clinic by my cousin and im really glad with the experience. I would 100% recommend
Great for testing and treatment. Very kind staff. But youre not going to get much in-depth care. Find a Primary or Specialist, and try to get answers with them. Be sure to call for an appointment since they cancel their walk-ins. American healthcare is a joke.
Everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable with my reason for going in. There was many health/safety distancing and precautions in place but it was still very pleasant. I personally appreciate the care and thought put into this clinic and recommend to everyone!
This clinic is great. All the employees have been very nice, courteous and professional. They say results take up to 7days. Both times I got my results back in 2 to 3 days. And they explain everything they are going to do and what you will be tested for. And they double check with when they take you the room. We need more places like this.
This Clinic has been a life saver to me. I waited many years for the chance to realize my true gender and with their help and support I have reached my goal. The entire Staff have been beyond professional and also have gone out of their way to make each person who comes for services feel important to the community. I can Never thank them enough. Alexandra
If you need HRT in San Antonio, no matter what your gender identity is, go here. They run all the important tests, and are, as far as I know, the only informed consent clinic in the city that does so. They were able to help both me and my partner, even though what we wanted for our transitions was very different. Highly recommend ! They dont make you sit in the waiting room for hours, and everyone here is kind and listens.
I visited the Kind Clinic in 2019 because I wanted to check my status. I was treated with respect by the two employees with whom I came in contact. The front desk staffer was my initial contact. He made the registration process easy. The medical professional I met with for the testing explained what and why about everything. He told me when I could expect my test results to come back and gave me literature that explained next steps, if they were needed. All in all, a very quick and painless experience.I also want to acknowledge Arthur Landin for getting me the appointment so quickly as he sensed my angst.I am appreciative of what the Kind Clinic does.Thank you.
Ive been here several times, and it is very clean and very professional. However, I wonder if its easier to start gendercare? When I went, the wait was a long time. By the time my name came up, I had been through 3 phones and 2 emails. Its kinda crazy how many teans people their are, and its nice to see u happy and comfortable. I want some happiness, too! Ive been living as a woman for almost 10 years. it would be great not to have to shave and to have breast and / or a vajayjay. Kimd clinc ty so much for caring and girls youre so brave and beautif are you guys even open like I havent heard anything from you guys since before covid look I lost my place in line two or three times already is there anyway I can get some gender affirming care and possibly skip some of the waiting line please Im not getting any younger
Kind Clinic is AMAZING! I have been seeing them for over a year for my gender care services and they have been nothing short of incredible. They helped me on my journey of becoming my authentic self and assisted me even when I didn’t have health insurance. I will always recommend Kind Clinic to anyone needing gender affirming care and nonjudgmental STI testing!
Had a amazing appointment with them. They were so nice and kind with me. I felt listened and respected. I love being one of there patient.
The Kind Clinic of San Antonio is wonderful. The staff is always warm and inviting, and they always know how to make you feel relaxed and welcomed. They provide many great services to the community, and they set a shining example for inclusivity.
Kind Clinic is the best place to go when it relates to medical transitioning. They worked to make it affordable for me, someone who works a minimum wage job whilst doing school, and they care about you as an individual. I would highly recommend Kind Clinic to anybody thinking of transitioning, along with their other services, such as STI testing.
The staff, Doctor is extremely professional, friendly . I would highly recommend it. I was not there for myself but they provide all information over the phone. The process was easy to get an appointment and be seen
I come here for my hormones and I must say the staff is the most loving and accepting place to be. They make you feel welcomed and very comfortable. They are amazing to the LGBTQ+ community and they answer every question I have every single time. Come here it’s the best.
I really enjoy seeing Lisa G (the PA) at the KIND clinic in San Antonio. She makes every appointment super efficient and is easy to talk to. She is a caring provider and is always smiling. Dr. Passmore is also lovely and super intelligent. I would recommend either of these two HCPs if youre looking in the area :D
I have had a horrible experience with this clinic so far. Too long to type out. Frustrated to tears. I’m giving them one more chance and then I’m moving on. I have tried to send an email to the address given and according to Google it is not valid. So Sean Dooley look up my name and email me directly. Thanks. It’s now 2/16/22 and they have disappointed me yet again. If I had other options I would go somewhere else. DISAPPOINTMENT on top of DISSAPOINTMENT with THE KIND CLINIC 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 This clinic has done nothing but DISAPPOINTMENT me over and over and over again for months and months. What is going on over there
My frist time visiting the kind clinic was amazing and the staff is always very friendly and helpful and they always are professional people I love them keep up the great work Jhen’e
I have run out of my medications since nobody has called me...and my prescription has not been refilled. Im totally out. Does the clinic care? Doesnt seem so. The staff is so detached that they dont bother following up or checking up with their patients. Forget trying to make small talk or make a joke. Nobody here knows how.Calling and trying to get someone on the phone is an exercise in frustration. If youre thinking about switching to this clinic from the OTHER clinic, do yourself a favor and DONT. Youre better off sticking with the place that has a system in place that actually works.
I appreciate the kind clinic and all they do to advocate for mens health! Its been my experience to date that they actively strive to accommodate my needs in regards to any health issues or concerns that arise in between checkups. I cant say enough good things about them and encourage many of my friends to pay them a visit.
The staff is warm, friendly, and compassionate. The entire experience was great, I dont think I could be in better hands. Its a completely welcoming and judgement free environment. One visit and I love the place.
The folks at the Kind Clinic are exactly that: very kind!!! It was a little busy when I went (11am on a Wednesday), but they took care of what I needed in a kind, professional manner!!! They were absolutely awesome, and I highly recommend checking out their website for more information!!!
I wasn’t listened to AT ALL when telling the person who was in charge of taking care of me when I said I know I was given an sti (I can elaborate but not for the entirety of google) and they were VERY VERY invalidating and they told me they were going to recommend me some mental health help. Because apparently being upset about my situation makes me crazy. I did not leave with any antibiotics to take care of things afterwards either so I’m going untreated until they get my results back?!?! I’m just supposed to suffer til then 🤷🏻♀️
Very nice staff and providers. very LGBTQI friendly, the location is not so great after night but it is ideal if you need immediate assistance. thank you to all the staff who assisted me.
This is one of the best places to get your local care for STD screenings, medications, and consultations. A fantastic resource for individuals that come at No cost for most of the services!! I want to thank the Kind clinic staff for being so great to me and for providing these services to our community!
This clinic is an amazing resource for the LGBTQ+ community in San Antonio. Everyone in the establishment was bright and welcoming, in addition to being obviously well-versed in the specific healthcare needs of queer people. Personally, I found the experience far superior to Planned Parenthood (not to undermine the importance of PP!) when it comes to serving queer individuals and has the astonishing highlight of offering entirely free services. Please support this institution financially if you are able, I was absolutely blown away on my initial visit after meeting with a personalized patient advocate and the most pleasant nurse practitioner Ive ever conferred with. Get yourself tested for STIs, get on Prep, get HRT, etc. An astonishingly bright gem in the San Antonio healthcare system.
This place is a God send. Everyone was very cordial and professional. If you feel you’ve been exposed to any type of diseases, this is the place to go. I highly recommend this place and the best part, they are very understanding of your situation.
The stuff is very kind ,respectful and professional. I have only visited the clinic ones and it was recommended by a friend. I felt super comfortable being there I got taken care of
Started Me off on testosterone the ok right away I dont have insurance so they offered to pay for it in full I will diffently donate for them doing this for me helps out alot more than i thought with no insurance definitely recommend to anyone and no matter how old call call call walk ins Are available at 4 no matter what you see or whats said but show up dont call and I will definitely donate money toward kind clinic
Had an amazing experience with the clinic and the staff. So welcoming non judgement zone. Amazing!
Amazing! Been to several city run clinics in the past and this blows them out of the water by far. Very clean, staff is very safe and professional, just an amazing level of comfort and respect when you go there.
The moment I walked in I felt warm and welcomed, the staff was very friendly especially Steven the young man who did my blood work, normally Im very skittish when it comes to needles but he put my mind at ease and made it a breeze.
Staff is super welcoming and always double checks to make sure that all of your answers are answered before ending the session. Would 100% recommend for anyone whos looking for a positive experience with HRT.
Many things have changed and are a bit confusing. Overall experience was ok .
Can’t ever get a hold of anyone. When I do, and that’s a very rare ‘when’, I can’t get anyone to call back. Don’t know when I’m supposed to set appointments, since no one calls to remind you of anything upcoming. One of my friends even stopped receiving his medications because NO ONE CALLS!!Two stars because it’s clean.
An absolutely amazing clinic! Everyone is so sweet and helpful, and my care was exactly what I needed.
This location is terrible and unorganized, they don’t do walk in appointments anymore apparently. But it’s not even advertised. Do not recommend.
I was so much in pain when I had went in months ago. They helped me so fast! Great Staff!! 👍thank you so much guys! Im dew for my routine check up 😁🙏
Incompetent. There are no instructions on how to view results after. The phone number goes straight to toll-free line and hangs up
Truly a blessing to have a place like this to go to for these types of issues. I walked in so nervous and scared but they reassured me with care and understanding 100%. Thank you for eveything you all do.
I took my son to Kind Clinic and have absolutely nothing but positive to say about them. Staff is amazing and extremely helpful. I would recommend them to anyone in need of their services.
There is no words to describe what this clinic has done for me. The staff was respectful and super nice. Everyone was knowledgeable and helpful.
The providers and staff are great. Very helpful and respectful.
Very nice and knowledgeable staff. COVID protocols are great to see even with mandates expiring. Felt very safe, clean, and friendly.
Very sweet and kind staff, if you’re feeling anxious about heading in, don’t! they create a very kind and low pressure atmosphere and have a ton of resources! :)
Had a amazing appointment with them. They were so nice and kind with me. I felt listened and respected. I love being a patient here
David was amazing. When conducting my lab work he made me feel very comfortable after knowing how hesitant I was.
Staff was courteous and friendly, awesome experience overall l, thank you kind clinic staff.
Scheduled office visits are on time and staff is professional and friendly, the facility is very well organized and clean.
Friendly and amazingly helpful. They also just recently opened this clinic, so the wait isnt that bad.
They really are Kind! Im so glad theyre here for us. In my experience everyone there has been unfailingly caring and helpful.
Fantastic experience with every person on staff, from doctors (I’ve seen 3 so far) down to reception. Highly recommend.
Great Staff Great Services Such a Vital Place in Our Community I’ve never had an issue and the staff are extremely kind and compassionate about what they do it truly deserves more the 5 stars
I love the kind clinic it is wonderful once youre able to be met with.
Was seen right away. People were helpful, caring, understanding considerate. Just a nice place to go and get checked on.
Extremely sweet, understanding, and charismatic staff. Attends to needs efficiently. Communication is a little wonky, but these are great people.
All the providers here are excellent! All the workers and staff are pretty amazing too!
My visit to Kind Clinic was the highlight of a lot of misfortunes Ive experienced.
Nice staff very professional! And helpful. And good music in the waiting room.
Everything was quick, easy, confidential and I felt comfortable with the staff!
Very polite and caring staff, I was a walk-in and still made it in and out within an hour.
Went without an appointment, was seen quickly and got what I needed taken care of without a hassle!Thank you Kind Clinic SA
