My job hasnt paid me in 3 weeks, Im all out of food. Its cold and raining. My case manager is never in the office. My phone is off. I go in to try to get a new food card. Explain my situation and the receptionist, she tells me to call my case worker. Hopefully Ill get paid tomorrow. My support system which is this place, is often limp. Often unavailable. Often.
When it comes to centers this has to be the worst unreliable source. The supervisors and case management has some major improvements to make. When calling, asking for needed help, or even advice, this entity only thinks about the lack of work they have to do. They never truly have the correct initiative to help the clients who they serve. When in a profession to help you should go above and beyond. No matter the stress, nor the criticism of others who arent doing the same. A case worker and his/her supervisors should be willing to do what is best for the community. That is what the Philadelphia Center should be about. Currently all we have working there are non responsive, non emotional humans. Very sad.
This is an AMAZING organization. Sabastian did my intake interview and was very knowledgeable and helpful with letting me know all the services and very nice in person. My case Manager Ms. Madison I spoke with her today and she is an angel we laughed and talked both were so eager to listen and patient with me on the phone. I started the process Friday and by today Im already getting the help I need... Please keep up the great work and may God bless each of yall for being there for people in need ! ❤️
Welcoming and encouraging people with open arms and no judgement
The women answering the phone here are pretty unhelpful and rude. They act like its a burden to answer the phone and God forbid you have any questions. Its similar to the government workers staffing places like the school board, public health department, DMV, or the VA. Secure in their jobs paid by our taxes and therefore they feel free to be rude and create ineffective and inefficient public services. I moved away from Louisiana so its always a shock when I come back and have to deal with the incompetence of these types of interactions, which are notably worse here. And its sad to think these women are the face of The Philadelphia Center, and what the local community has to deal with when coming here to confront a very sensitive situation, often the very worse moments of a persons life. I used to donate to The Philadelphia Center, until I had to call for a friend. Seeing the other side of it now...I dont think I can anymore.
Perhaps the greatest service to help reduce the spread of HIV infection and manage AIDS (for those who have tested positive) in the Ark-La-Tex. Comprehensive STD testing, not just for HIV. Services are free. The staff is amazing: helpful, dedicated and caring.Even if you do not use or need their services it is worthy of your donation and support.
The most helpful place Ive gone to for receiving case management. Monica was the most helpful person Ive encountered in my time of needing case management and the Philadelphia center has provided more help than I knew I could receive.
The Philadelphia Center is the local HIV/ AIDS resource center! You can get free HIV tests done here, and the results are ready in only 20 minutes!! The workers there are well trained counsellors who are professional and very kind!! They will help everyone who comes in their doors!!! What a wonderful service for the community!!!!
Great and compassionate staff 🙂 although Ella stuck out to me 🤗 Me and my partner are currently here we got tested and she was there every step 👣 of the way I recommend everybody to come here very professional and confidential setting this will be my go to every time 🔐🤞🏾
The Philadelphia Center is so professional and caring. They dont make you feel uncomfortable and afraid. I love how personal and confidential they are. I always go to this facility to get my testing done.
Its an amazing place. It has amazing programs. Its full of amazing people. No judgement, no fake sympathies or pity, just genuine people
Whos going to just tell the truth a lot who come here are just addicts who come up just they just dont want to spend the money at a pharmacy; here you get more bang for your buck.
