Context: 11 years of occupationally-related lower back issues to include nerve damage and bilateral sciatica, which creates daily round-the-clock discomfort and pain.I visited Dr Hudson today for the first time and was referred to him by my care team at the VA.Dr Hudson is a subject matter expert in his field and his bedside manner and social connectivity with his patients is superb. Easy to talk to, takes the time to listen and then asks deeper follow-up questions in order to elicit specific information used to better treat the patient. He has a great sense of humor and an easy going demeanor. Additionally, we spent a long time discussing my complete medical history, which a) exceeded my expectations, and b) applied immediately and directly to my physical care when we subsequently moved on to the acupuncture and mobility manipulations portions of the appointment.I can truthfully say that tonight I came home with significant improvements in pain and am looking forward to getting some actual sleep for the first time in years.Give him a shot. In my experience it’s already been well-worth it in just one appointment and I’ve already made a second.
