Be aware that the standard practice of this fertility clinic is to bill twice for consults. If you schedule an appointment for yourself and your partner happens to be present (say for support), you and your partner will be billed separately (even if you are not aware that your partner is being considered a patient during that encounter). Having consulted with several reproductive specialists, this is the only fertility clinic I have encountered that implements exploitational billing to maximize their own profit at the expense of patients needs.
Unfortunately, this is not a place I would recommend for fertility treatment. I felt very dismissed and anxious all the time. When I would ask questions, I would get anxiety because the responses always made me feel like I was bothering them. I felt that they didnt look at our specific case and just gave us a generalized treatment. At our new clinic, we learned exactly what I had predicted was the problem and now have had great outcomes with IVF. We also left after our last procedure in April and they have not once followed up to see where we went. Makes us feel like we never mattered. This journey is hard as it is, and I would recommend finding a clinic that makes you feel unique and eases your worries.
It is extremely difficult to get a phone call back or an appointment from this office. Every time you call you will immediately get placed on hold for 10 minutes before you get to talk to a human. Then the receptionist takes a message for the nurse and the nurse never ever calls you back in a timely manner. It took 3 months just to get lab results and a consultation appointment. Received a request for payment of lab services before even getting the results. We had been trying to have a baby for two years and the nurse was very insensitive on the phone. Stating, she had a lot to do and “you’re not really a priority.” Now waiting over a week on cancer results and can’t even get a call back. No one should ever have to wait that long for cancer results! The only good thing is that the nurse practitioner was nice and kind. Very disappointing SIU since the next closest fertility clinic is in St. Louis.
We had wonderful care at this facility! From Dr Loret De Mola to every single staff member being so caring and friendly. We tried for over 3 years to get pregnant and 4 weeks ago we had our baby thanks to them! 1,000 percent would recommend them to anyone!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! Not only do they not answer your phone calls, they don’t return any voicemails or messages from you or another doctor. They even messed up what sounded to be routine orders for testing to start the process costing my family big bucks as they was not covered by insurance! Their reply was oops. Then we switched to a different fertility clinic and they are having a very difficult time getting our records from them even after we drove the 2 hours to sign release documents in person! I do not recommend going here at all. They do not help with anything, they don’t seem to care and the biggie…they are not supportive or just there for your wife when she has questions!
Worst experience from the beginning!!! The lady Reba who handles the registration and insurance was very rude and non-compassionate. This is a a field of work that requires compassion and understanding during such a hard time that patients are going through. I will just make the commute to the chicago.
To say we are PLEASED is an understatement. Dr. Loret de Mola had exceptional bedside manner throughout our treatments. The employees, from the receptionist to the lab director. were very friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldnt have changed a thing. It was top-notch!
Most poorly organized clinic Ive seen in the world. Phonecalls or messages are usually ignored. Tests and prescriptions rarely get sent, unless I spend a month calling daily. We had a miscarriage, and they did not even bother to do an ultrasound or investigate. Horrible place.
There’s always a wait to talk to anyone here. My daughter was referred here recently and I do not reccomend… they are not prompt. We have to constantly call back or no one will call us! They really need to step it up, or they will continue to lose more patients unfortunately.
The nurse practitioner, Rebecca Wangard, is awful! She doesn’t even bother reading test results or follow through on what she was supposed to do treatment wise.
Dr. Loret de Mola gave us our two greatest blessings. Other than that, the office is unorganized and inefficient.
My experience with Dr. Loret de Mola and his staff has been amazing. I just cant thank them enough for all of their care, patience and education.
Don’t even waste your time there. They never answer your call or very long wait time. I wish I knew we didn’t start this treatment with them. Please find somewhere else if you don’t want to waste your time and money .
I am a doctor and final year resident of obstetrics and gynecology. Travel exclusively from Argentina to observe Dr. Ricardo Loret de Mola and his staff. He and his nurses have excellent treatment with patients. They carry out personalized classes and treatments according to the needs with the appropriate support.Pregnancy rates are the highest in the state.I recommend as a professional to come here!!
In my opinion I DO NOT RECOMMEND this clinic, the service they provide is disastrous, they are only good at charging, wasting your time and getting you excited. We wasted a full year doing studies, scheduling appointments, asking for leave at work, traveling almost 3 hours and everything was in vain. This clinic does not care or is humanitarian. So look for another clinic that meets your expectations. My partner and I looked for another one in Iowa and they (doctors and other staff) in almost 1 month we have had better results. And we are already in treatment.Given the facts, the truth cannot be hidden. I regret that SIU MEDICINE is not up to the task of being a fertility clinic.
