Amazing doctor. I was my surgeon for a laparoscopic hysterectomy two weeks ago. I have had close to zero pain and discomfort. My incisions are healing beautifully, should be no scars. I would recommend him over and over again.
I am happy for the people who have had good luck with this surgeon but I did not. After multiple appoointments to remove stitches, some of the stitch heads had become inbedded in my skin causing a lot of pain. Finally got them to remove the stitch heads (which I was told would dissolve; are nylon so that is impossible) he did remove them but then charged me separately for a cyst removal. Was told this was because it was past 90 days after the surgery. Changed to Mercy and am very happy with the new doctor.
I saw this doctor in 2008. At that time he had the bedside manner of a turnip. Perhaps he has gotten better through the years. I saw him for endometrial cancer. He examined me and while I was still in the stirrups he started discussing my case with me. I didnt even have a chance to get dressed. He insisted that I had to loose 50lbs in 1 month, and take a very expensive new medicine before he would treat me at all. When I told him I didnt have any insurance for the meds, he just looked at me, offering no suggestions. I admit I was obese at the time, but to be told that my cancer treatment was contingent upon an almost impossible weight-loss goal was incredibly unprofessional, as was how I wasnt even allowed to get dressed before he launched into everything. Thankfully I got a second opinion from another local gynecologic oncologist, who sadly is no longer in the area, and was treated with respect and had the surgery within a week. Interestingly enough, when I was having my pre-surgery testing for this other doctor, we learned that Dr. Bonebrake had a reputation for treating patients unkindly, so much so that when my friend mentioned what had happened, the other person asked if was this doctor, by name. 13 years later, I am still cancer free and so very grateful I didnt go with this doctor for my treatment.
Dr. Bonebrake is hands down the best gynecologist ever! Very thorough when explaining things to you. Takes the time with each patient they need and does not rush you out. Very gentle with his patients. Very knowledgeable!
Dr. Bonebrake was absolutely incredible during the time I was in his care. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking gynecological oncology. He is very thorough when explaining things and does not worry you needlessly.
I had a round of chemo, last one today. Dr. Bonebrake did my surgery. He definitely knows what he is doing. His staff is wonderful. They know its a hard time for you. They are so caring and kind.
Dr. Bonebreak treated my DIL and she had excellent care. He was quite thorough and explained everything where the average person could understand.
Amazing doctor!! He helped save my life and was so compassionate and caring. I would recommend him to everyone!
I hate to give him even 1 star after the way he has been treating my sister. She is fighting for her life. And all he has to say every time he talks to her is that she is going to die.
This Dr. and his team are extremely outstanding. What I love in healthcare.
I was in shock after being diagnosed with cancer. He and his assistant were kind and encouraging...they gave me peace of mind.
